Rosanne could feel her eyes getting wet as she waved goodbye to her father.

She was happy leaving, but at the same time, she was going to miss her dear father.

Roseanne sat quietly inside the carriage, opposite the Queen who watched her with a smile.

She couldn’t believe it, she was going to the castle to be a mere servant, but was recieving such exclusive escort.

“Just so you know dear Rosanne, if you can work in the castle with nothing happening, you’ll be recieving a pay!” The queen smile.

With nothing happening? What does she mean?.

“Ah, yes your highness, my father already mentioned that, and I’m certainly glad to work for the crown prince!” Rosanne gave a small bow.

“Good! Cornelius here, will explain to you, the little things you’ll need to do when you get there, the journey to the other castle is everlasting and I will be stopping at the castle in Orrander!” The Queen smiled.

Rosanne turned to the royal guard beside her and he flashed her a smile.

    “I’m Cornelius” He stated.

“Rosanne!” She gave a slight bow.

    :

The journey became quiet until the carriage got to the castle of Orrander.

Rosanne couldn’t contain her breathing, as she looked out the carriage window to see the tall castle in sight.

‘It’s beautiful and heavenly’ she thought.

“These horses are running faster than ever!” The queen declared, realizing they were back at the castle.

A royal guard opened the door to the carriage , and the queen stepped out.

“My journey ends here, dear Rosanne, I wish you all the luck!” The queen smiled.

“Thank you your highness!” Rosanne smiled.

“Ah well, you’re welcome!” The queen smiled, her Emerald eyes leaving Rosanne and to the castle.

The door to the carriage went shut and Rosanne felt the excitement in her heart.

The journey to the other castle began as Rosanne heard the neighing of the horses.

She heard as the horses hooves trampled on the grasses and soil of Orrander, causing the carriage to move, in full Speed.

     Cornelius suddenly start to speak.

“Young Rosanne, could you lend me your ears for now!”.

    “Yes of course” Rosanne smiled.

“Good, we’re now going to the other castle outside Orrander called, ‘sylph’ owned by king Archibald’s father, it used to be a forgotten castle, but now the crown prince lives there, and so you don’t get surprised, you will be the only servant working there for now. For the other servant is under some kind of situation in the Castle of Orrander. So for now, you shall be the crown prince only servant” Cornelius explained.

Rosanne turned to her, her ocean blue eyes capturing the rays of sunlight from the window.

“Why am I the only servant? And why isn’t the crown prince staying in Orrander, but castle sylph? Why is he alive, but then the whole village still mourns for his death?” Rosanne asked.

“Rosanne, I’m afraid my job isn’t to answer those questions, but to tell you about your job, the crown prince remains a secret because the king and queen wants it that way, i am afraid I am in no position to answer those questions!” Cornelius said, giving an apologetic bow.

    “I understand!” Rosanne lied

She clearly didn’t know why the crown prince was being ostracized.

‘is he an invalid? A disabled?’ she thought.

    He could be worse.

“And now the Castle sylph is a very big castle, it’s bigger than the castle in Orrander, and mind you, you and the crown prince will be the only ones there, your job everyday, is to make sure to cook for the crown prince, every morning when the sun is at the north behind the cloud, in the afternoon when the sun is right above the castle, and in the evening when the sun has set, the castle has been stocked with food and every morning of a full moon, more foods come in, and of course you have every right to prepare what your guts desires. You must also prepare the crown prince baths, he doesn’t like warm or cold baths, he prefers hot baths, do not mix the hot water with cold water, you must boil all the water, till the castle is full of steams and the water is dangerous for you to touch!” Cornelius explained, causing Rosanne to widen her eyes.

Cornelius continued. “And the crown prince does not like to be seen, so make sure to stay out of sight, he will aware of your presence but make sure he doesn’t come face to face with you, you must leave every meal at his door, by opening the door a little bit and placing the food on the floor. After preparing his bath, you’ll see a bell outside his room, ring the bell and leave the premises. Descend to your room once it’s nighttime and turn off all the lights!”

“Is the crown prince okay?” Rosanne finally asked, causing Cornelius to shut up.

“Now that is a bit rude, the crown prince is absolutely fine” Cornelius smiled. “His taste in things are just a little over the top!”

    “Ah… I see” Rosanne smiled.

“Now if I may continue… The crown prince room, is at the top of the castle and your room, is at the bottom of the castle, the laundry room is at the back your room, and the kitchen is just below the crown prince room, make sure to leave leave the above floor where the prince lives, and make sure the castle is dust free every now and then, now if you can keep up with this, I’m sure the queen will raise your pay”

    Cornelius smiled.

“Now all this are just petty jobs!” Rosanne smiled happily.

“Yes they sure are, just remember the things I told you, and the crown prince is around your age if I can guess, and he’s a little bit… How would I put this, he’s not friendly” Cornelius smiled.

“I understand!” Rosanne nodded. “I’m going there to work, not be friendly with the crown prince!”.

“Now that is one positive spirit, I wish you good luck!” Cornelius smiled.

    “Thank you” Rosanne beamed.

And that’s how the journey went quiet until the carriage left Orrander.

    Obscure Episode Two.

    BY RUTHIE LEE

Three years passed with the people of Orrander living in peace.
No one had the slightest idea of what happened with the King’s son. And no one ever gave birth to children with the red marking.
And every Crescent moon the king and queen managed to receive letters which contained information on how the young crown prince was living. He was growing up to be a charmer, he was just a boy but yet, when he speaks his words were clear and strong, two scholars were recently sent to the other castle to educate the crown prince of how to read and write, and the Queen was satisfied with it, and the king made a fine deal with her, allowing her to see her son every day of the full moon. .
The first time the queen laid eyes on her three year old son, she watched him from afar being impacted by the scholar beside him, she couldn’t be more touched seeing how he was concentrated on learning so much, his bright emerald eyes danced around in excitement and his small hands tried to scribble something down.
The queen had no choice but to approach him.
It was the first time seeing his mother and the scholar couldn’t help but excuse them.
Looking both at the Queen and the Crown prince, their beauty and resemblance were impeccable.
The Queen smiled at the crown prince and he smiled back not knowing why.
He had no clue it was his mother he was looking at, for the midwives brought him up to be the young boy he is now.
“How are you doing young lad.?” The queen smiled.
“I am fine.” The crown prince replied and the queen smiled even more.
“Do you know who I am?” The queen asked.
The crown prince shook his head Negatively.
“Well, I’m your mother” The queen smiled.
“My mother?” The crown prince asked making the queen nod.
The crown prince said nothing and just watched his mother for a while…
And he finally spoke. “Are you here to take me with you.?”
“You do not like it here?” The queen had ask and the little lad shook his head.
The queen was heartbroken hearing that and she promised they would be together someday.
    .
And every day of a full moon the queen would visit her son who seemed clearly normal that she started to doubt if the so called curse of Orrander was real.

The Queen would watch her son from afar before approaching him, though he had no one but he always talked to himself and kept himself busy with his unique way of playing.
The crown prince always welcomed his mother every time she visited and he would spend the whole day with his mother and the queen still promised him they were going to be together someday.
Ten years passed and the king and queen agreed to bring the crown prince back to the castle of Orrander, because clearly he didn’t exhibit or cause any catastrophe like they said the bearer of the cursed mark will.
Two days before bringing back the crown prince to Orrander, the king recieved a letter from the other castle from the Royal reporter informing of what had happened the previous night with the crown prince.
It reported that the crown prince had gone berserk and pushed one of the servants off the window from his room due to extreme anger and that the servant falling from such high distance, died immediately.
He didn’t do just that, that same night, he had requested for a hot bath and when the servant prepared the water to be hot enough and compatible for the human skin, the crown prince requested it wasn’t hot enough, the servant had to boil the water to extreme hotness that was dangerous to the human skin, but surprisingly the crown prince walked into the bath and didn’t even flinch and then got angry again saying the water wasn’t hot enough, when the servant tried to convince him it was the hottest, he dipped her hand into the water telling her to feel it and causing her skin to react and burn. And after that night it was like a strange switch in him because he never smiled again.
He became aggressive and gets angry at the Littlest thing.

When the king read the letter he head to the queen’s Chambers to share the news to her but when Queen decided to read the letter herself, she disagreed with everything.
“So what is the Royal reporter trying to say? That my son is a beast for getting angry?” The queen scoffed walking back her forth in her room, her dress sweeping the floor.
“He’s saying we should be careful!” The king stated.
“Careful? Of my own son? I laugh not”.
“Adalind Don’t let your emotions sweep you off, he’s my son too and the character he’s exhibiting is just plethoric, he is just a twelve years old lad” The king sighed.
“So you’re saying my son can’t get angry? Like every body else. You just don’t want him back In Orrander” The queen yelled.
“Of course I do, but with what he did, he killed somebody Adalind, you read what the letter said, he pushed a servant off a window” The king sighed.
The queen paused and let’s out a sigh.
“He’s exhibiting extreme anger and that is manacing” The king added taking his wife’s hand.
“I want to see him myself, I won’t be waiting for a full moon, tomorrow morning I’ll be leaving the castle, he’s my son, I have to see to believe” The Queen upbraided before flouncing out of the room leaving the king in a confused state.
Immediately the sun rose, the next day, the queen set off on a journey to the other castle to see her son, she couldn’t wait to prove to the king how the Royal reporters were wrong about her son.
The Queen fell to her feet as she stood in front of her son in his room and watch him stab his own royal scholar with a sharp stake.
Splattered blood laid on his shirtless body and white britches.
The young lad turned to his mother with his eyes red in colour, his eyes were no longer emerald but red.
“And why are you here mother?” The young lad asked giving his scholar a final stab.
    “Wh..what?…
The queen couldn’t find her words as tears fell from her eyes, This person wasn’t her son.
“My teacher was being a bit annoying, I had to make him quiet” The crown prince stated.
“This… This… This isn’t right.” The queen shook her head.
“Does this frighten you mother? Because it sure is a wonderful sight” The crown prince smiled.
The queen stood up and shut her eyes, it was definitely the curse mark. He’s just twelve years old but yet he has killed two innocent people.
    :
“We can’t bring him back, I’m afraid to say our son isn’t our son right now” The queen said to the king after returning to the castle of Orrander.
“I’m sorry” The king said as he watched his wife eyes gather so many tears.
“Why us? Why my son? Why him?” The queen cried.
“I can’t guarantee anything about him getting better or the curse leaving him but I hope he gets better” The king said embracing his wife.
Getting better was an overstatement as to say, because as days passed the king and queen recieved letters containing horrid stories from what was happening with their son and how he’s slowly becoming more of a murder and a beast.
He lets his anger take over him and does the most impudent thing ever.
The queen never failed to pray to the god of Orrander for the betterment of her son.
But her prayers felt like pins in water, as years passed.
The Queen never wanted to lose hope on her son returning back to Orrander, but with the information she everyday recieved from the Royal spy sent to watch the crown prince secretly, the Queen knew, it was it for her son.

At eighteen the crown prince was already at a height that was intimidating and many servants had fled the castle because of the ruthlessness of the crown prince…
“He never wears a shirt, he only leaves his pants on saying he would burn if he puts on a shirt, he gets angry when things doesn’t go his way, he locks himself in his room and only comes out at night, I never stood before him, but the servants who did all testified that, if you stand too close to him, you will definitely feel the heat coming from his body, his eyes are not the eyes of a human, your majesty for i have not seen the crown prince in person, but was told his eyes were red and thicker than blood. For this is the beast of Orrander taking over the crown prince. I am just a gardener at the other castle, but your majesty I want to live, I shamelessly fled the other castle to live, please spare me for doing something so foolish, I am just a lowly gardener and have no right to flee, but your majesty, I wish to see the sun rise every morning and if I keep staying at the other castle, I don’t know what the crown prince might do to me, for the other castle is empty, all servants had fled the castle, leaving the crown prince alone. Have mercy on all of us your majesty…” The cry of a lowly gardener made the queen shut her eyes as the man bowed very low to the ground.
“You fled the castle without the King’s permission and for that, you shall be punished, but for reporting all this instead of fleeing, you shall be banished, and as for the rest of the servants who fled without my royal consent, death awaits them.!”  The king ordered in rage.
The gardener was taken away and the Queen fell to her knees crying.
    “My son!”
“My queen, do not cry!” The queen consoled.
“He’s all alone, there’s no one at the castle to take care of him, my lord he’s all alone, we should send more servants to him, he shouldn’t be alone”
“And let him kill them? Adalind I understand where you are coming from but that boy is no longer who we call our son… The beast of Orrander has taken over him and there is no way we can Break that curse!” The king sighed.
“You want him to be all alone?” The queen sniffed.
“For lonliess is what awaits the beast!”.
“My son, is not a beast! Please!” The queen cried. “He doesn’t deserve what is happening right now, even it’s just one, just a single servant to attend to him, then I will learn how to breathe properly!”
The king sighed not knowing what to say.
He pulled his wife in a big embrace and while stroking her hair he said.
“For everyone lives matter, and so does our son’s life, I can’t guarantee the life of that servant going over to him, but our son deserves to live too.  Adalind for everything will be fine… I hope.”

    Reverence Episode 28

    BY RUTHIE LEE

Still stuck twelve feet below the ground.

The heavy wind didn’t stop roaring around the room, and almost half of the candle lights has gone off.

Ava left the flashlight on, in case all the candle lights in the room goes off.

But then the forceful wind circulating the room stopped and a thud was heard.

Ava and julliette turned to Jane to see her on the floor.

    “Jane!” They both panicked.

Jane’s eyes fluttered open and Ava and julliette stepped back after feeling a dark energy coming from her.

Jane slowly sat up and grabbed the box before getting to her feet.

“Quick we have to leave, ludociel will be here any minute, he knows you girls are with the box.” Jane stated.

“Jane?” Juilette was confused and so was Ava.

“This isn’t Jane.” Jane stated. “I managed to posses her properly this time because of her fear, the first time I tried to, she fought back and Ludociel trapped me down here, because I wasn’t able to posses her.” Jane expound.

“That familiar Aura, then you must be miss Isabella Jenkintown! Ludociel’s mother!” Juilette announced.

“Yes, child, yes I am! But I am not Ludociel’s mother, I never was!” Jane shook her head.

“But in the book, it was said you got pregnant and gave birth to a boy named ludociel.! Who is the one that’s after us right now.” Juilette added.

“I Do not understand what book you’re talking about but, Yes I did got pregnant, after this school was passed down to me, I never such a person like ludociel, until rumours circulated my school about a little boy in the mirror at 3am in the bathroom, I wanted to see for myself and, what I saw was indeed the boy everyone was talking about, and after days of trying to bring the rumours down even though it was true, I started getting nightmares, strange and horrble nightmares, I prayed countlessly for these nightmares to end but it got worse and then one night after dreaming of me being raped, even though I prayed so hard, I started getting pregnancy symptoms in real life, I was insulted by my fellow nuns, I couldn’t utter a thing to anyone, and then months later I gave birth to the devil himself, he talked right from his baby age and had to put on a fake baby act with strangers.

This man Ludociel controlled me, he controlled the life out of me. I did everything he asked me, I kidnapped my own students for him and stayed muted, I was totally helpless, and then against my will I had to recruit new nuns who were supposedly teachers and Ludociel got them all under a spell. Ludociel came out with the idea of building an alter in the room and he had some dark spells around it too, I was scared for my students but I couldn’t do anything! I was useless and helpless. And as my students showed reverence to the alter their souls spiritually gets bewitched by Ludociel’s spell and instead of getting them kidnapped, they wander of on their own, whenever Ludociel needs them. I couldn’t take it anymore. I was going crazy! I managed to find out a little about Ludociel. The pact he made with devil and how he respectively wants to take back what’s rightfully belongs to him, the school, I thought if he wanted to take back the school he could do so, but he wanted to bring his wife back to life first, and that’s when he had to make a sacrifice, and he used me! I was happy I died, but my spirit didn’t rest in peace and followed Ludociel wherever he went. I managed to find out again that he died when he made a deal with the devil, and his heart was placed here in this box, if we manage to destroy his heart, his spirit will go to the afterlife instead of this world here. And all the people under his spell will come out of it. I’m not supposed to be roaming about in the world of the living, I am not amongst the living, and I want my soul to be at rest. I am tired of Ludociel and his darkened heart. If we can destroy this box and then his heart, then Ludociel will be gone for good!” Jane expound.

    Shared on whatsapp by Martino.

“But there’s no way out!” Ava exclaimed.

“For this place was marked by the devil himself. Every way out needs a little sacrifice!” Jane stated clutching the box to her body and walking towards the wall.

    “What? Sacrifice?” Julliette repeated.

“Don’t worry, it just involves a little blood!” Jane stated before biting her thumb really hard, blood gushed out of her thumb and she drew the sign of an upside down cross.

“Just like how he trapped his dear clementine in the garden, he also trapped me down here under the garden, the place he calls his territory and shortcut to hell. And I’ve seen him do this countlessly! And finally, I can leave, because I’m in possession of this girl!” Jane explained and immediately a door came in sight and Jane opened it.

Jane pulled the door opened and turned back to the girls.

“Come, let’s Hurry up!” Jane beckoned and the three of them left the small shrine.

With the help of possesed Jane, the girls managed to escape the place and after a never ending stairs that led to the garden, they were finally above grounds.

Julliette’s eyes spotted a rock on the floor and  she picked it up immediately, handing it to Jane.

“Ava and I can’t touch the box, but Jane can” she stated.

“Yes you’re being protected by Astman, Ludociel’s heart can be dangerous” Jane replied.

    “Astman? What’s that?” Ava asked.

“No time to explain!” Jane said placing the box on the floor and hitting the locked area with the rock in her hand.

“You do not want to do this, Isabella!”

The girls heard a familiar voice in front of them and they all looked up.

Ludociel was standing in front of them with his left hand holding, Anna’s sleeping body and his right hand holding a sharp and pointy stake that he placed right in front of Anna’s neck.

    “No.” Ava lips quivered.

“just go ahead and try to destroy that box and your sister will be no more” Ludociel said with a slight grin.

The girls remained speechless not knowing what to do or say.

“Now if you know what’s best for you four, give me back my box!” Ludociel stated.

“And you’ll let Anna go?” Ava yelled.

“silly child.” Ludociel laughed. “I don’t negotiate, I do and take what I want”.

“Do you not have a heart!” Julliette yelled.

“What are you talking about, it’s inside that box! So no, now give me back that box before things get messy!” Ludociel laughed.

“Over my dead boys, Ludociel you’re ending here, enough of your useless schemes” Jane yelled.

“How stupid” Ludociel got angry, and was about to shove the stake into Anna’s neck when someone pushed Anna, causing her to fall.

Ludociel got angry and turned to see who the intruder was.

“What in the devil’s name are you doing clementine!” Ludociel barked.

    “Enough!” clementine yelled.

“Enough what? My dear clementine, I am doing this for you, this is all for you my dear, we can finally own what belongs to us and live our lives again!”

“No!” Clementine shook her head.  “At first, I agree to your term revenge, yes what those people did to me were harsh, but it’s Just reality, take whatever you recieve, it is the way it was suppose to go, why revenge, it’s been a hundred years now, I’ve been playing by your rules, I’m tired of killing innocent girls! Yes I love you ludociel, I want to have a home, a family with you, and I wished so many times I didn’t lose my life, or my baby’s life, we could have been so happy and would have grown old together, but then getting involve with darkness! Why? I wished to live with The ludociel I know, not the one in front of me who has done a lot of bad things!” clementine cried.

“But we didn’t deserve any of that!” Ludociel said sternly.

“Do you think people receive what they deserve every day, nobody deserves bad things, just like those girls we killed over the years, they didn’t deserve it, I had to feed on countless of girls, so my spirit wouldn’t perish, I may be in human form, I can feel, be seen and get touched, but let’s not forget I’m dead now, it’s all a waste of time, we’re both wasting our times, Bad things happened to us because God wanted it to, you should have never taken matter into your own hand.” Clementine shook her head.

    “God doesn’t exist!” Ludociel barked.

“The devil you traded your life with wouldn’t exist if God doesnt exist” Clementine stated wiping her eyes.

“If God existed, that wouldn’t have happen to us!” Ludociel added.

“Everything happens for a reason ludociel!” clementine yelled.

“If you’re angry about me losing my life, you shouldn’t, because we’ve spent over a hundred years in the garden, if you want to get your land back, you can’t because you’re supposed to be dead even if you were alive. Ludociel please just let everything slide.” clementine sniffed.

Ludociel let’s out a hysterical laugh.

“I’m going to get back what belongs to me, go to hell clementine.” Ludociel announced.

“Fine, have it your way!” clementine said walking towards the girls and pulling her something from her dress.

“You’re not so smart after all” clementine stated sternly.

Ludociel’s jaw dropped when he saw the key to the box in clementine’s hand.

“You thought you disposed it real good, but you didn’t!” clementine shook her head, handing the key to Jane, who quickly shove it into the keys hole and unlocked it, but surprisingly the box won’t open.

“It doesn’t take just a key to open up a box made by the devil himself.” Ludociel laughed and starts to utter some chants.

“He’s casting a spell, stay put and be careful!” Clementine announced.

Immediately, sounds of commotion could be heard, as hundreds of students walk out of the building, heading towards the garden.

“What’s happening?” Ava asked as she noticed the hundred of students that headed towards their direction.

“The ones who managed to show Reverence are under his spell right now, in their heads they’re still asleep, but they don’t know they’re under Ludociel’s spell, he’s creating a student army to get us” Jane explained.

“What can we do?!” Julliette asked.

“I’m afraid nothing” clementine stated worriedly watching ludociel utter his spell.

“No we can do something, you two are gifted by Astman, do something!” Jane stated looking back and forth at Julliette and Ava.

“By Astman? Wow, then please do something!” Clementine added.

“What in the world is Astman?” Ava asked.

“There’s no time to explain, just do something, anything, because I feel the energy coming from you both” Jane stated pushing Ava towards Julliette as the students marched closer.

“But what can we do. I mean we can just see visions!” Ava added trying to move back when she stepped on Julliette and was about to fall.

Luckily Julliette caught her hand in hand and they both felt that electrical feeling again.

“Could it be?” Julliette looked at Ava.

“Should we?” Ava opened her hand.

Both girls clasps each other’s hand and that enthuse and electrical feeling started again, and the longer they held hand, the more it felt like something ignited in their hand.

And visibly it was like little firey sparks surrounded the girls clasp hands.

    Reverence Episode 27

    BY RUTHIE LEE

You know, I would feel really comfortable if you had ask that, right to me and in front of my face” A deep and husky voice said behind the girls and the three of them turned immediately to see a tall man with Anna in his arms.

“welcome to my territory girls!” Ludociel gave a sly grin.

Jane let’s out a yelp as she stood face to face with ludociel.

She seemed more nervous than the others girls.

“Now you girls don’t know what you got yourself into!” Ludociel gave a light scoff.

“What are you doing with Anna?”  Julliette barked.

“I’m going to make my dear clementine eat her alive and take in her form!” Ludociel smiled.

“We’re not going to let that happen” Ava tried to sound bold but her voice failed her.

“You can’t possibly do anything, and like I said, this is my territory!”  Ludociel added. And suddenly the ground split into two causing the girls to fall into what seemed like a well, with the girls letting out a scream of needed aid.

Ava was holding the flashlight firmly and when they landed at the bottom of wherever they fell, Ava quickly pushing the power button on the flashlight letting the light beam across the darkness.

The place was so dark they could hardly see anything.

“What in the world!” Jane trembled and her voice echoed.

“Where in the world are we?” Ava asked standing up and so were the other girls.

“With the way our voices are echoing right now, I feel like we’re in sort of a cave!” Julliette added.

“A cave? At the bottom of the school, this is definitely not a book in the library julliette.” Jane added.

Ava moved the flashlight left to right trying to look for a way out, or any other way when Jane let’s out a yelp.

“Guys, I’m stepping on something” Jane panicked.

Ava quickly turned to the flashlight to Jane’s feet and they let out a gasp when they saw a dead bird under Jane’s feet.

“I shouldn’t have come out here” Jane shuts her eyes.

“We have to save Anna!” Julliette nudged her.

“Guys look!” Ava called out pointing the flashlight above their heads.

“Where we fell from seconds ago is completed closed”.

“What? Does that mean we’re trapped.?” Jane was panicking.

“You never know for sure, but Ava do you feel that?” Juliette asked.

    “Feel what?” Ava asked.

“That darkness?” Julliette stated not sure of what she was feeling.

“It’s coming from over there”  Juilette pointed and Ava point the flashlight to where Juilette was pointing.

It looked like a passageway and and slowly Juiliette took the flashlight from Ava.

The girls slowly walked towards the passageway, not sure of where they were actually going and after walking for some minutes they came to a dead end.

“Look!” Juilette announced spotting some writings on the wall.

‘For dominance all starts when they show Reverence, The devil is the only ruler’

“What the hell!” Jane squeaked. “I’m going to pass out now.”

“This is indeed ludociel’s territory, I feel more of his aura coming from behind me.”. Juilette said and made a turn.

The girls let’s out a gasp when they saw that the passageway they passed by few minutes ago was nowhere to be found but a door now facing them.

“I hope this is just a dream.” Jane muttered.

“Believe me! We all do!” Ava scoffed.

    “So…” Juilette breathed out.

    “Should we open the door?”

“I mean we don’t know where we are, it’s more like a maze and a door is suddenly in front of us, what’s the worse that could happen.?” Ava breathed out.

“It could be more worse.” Jane added.

“Well I’m going for it then.” Juilette said turning the door knob and pushing the door open.

Lightness suddenly invaded the girls sight immediately they walked into the room.

“Blood of christ!” Jane muttered out loud.

“Now this isn’t pleasant looking!” Ava added.

The room was wide and was filled with lit candles that hung on the wall from the room to the bottom, and some laid on the floors too, strange letters and writing laid on the wall a big alter was at the centre of the room, the alter had multiple crosses that laid upside down, some weird looking books and candles surrounding it.

Jane’s eyes dart to the corner of the room to see a girl hanging by the wall.

She screamed making Ava and Juilette turned to her.

“T-hat girl! Putting on our school uniform!” Jane stuttered pointing to the girl hung on the wall.

The girl wore the same uniform as the girls with dried blood that stained the collar of her shirt, and her neck was tied with a rope that connected with her wall.

“Wait!” Ava said stepping forward. “She looks familiar!”

“Isn’t that the clementine we were talking to when we were still in the garden.” Jane mananed to say.

“I don’t think so.” Juilette shook her head. “I believe clementine has been feeding on this girl and whoever clementine is feeding on her face and body morphs into the person’s, and now ludociel just want her to look the same old clementine like she used to, and is trying to get her to feed on Anna!” Juliette explained.

“Then we have to act fast!” Ava hollered.

“Act fast!? What exactly can we do, we don’t know what this place is!” Jane replied gesturing her hands around in the air.

“But we do know that it’s a shrine that belongs to ludociel” Juilette stated.

A strange blow of wind circulated around the room causing the girls to shiver, they were in the middle of  nowhere below the ground, the wind being down there was naturally impossible.

Juilette found herself and eyes fixated on a box at the centre of the alter in the room.

“Guys I think we should leave.” Jane stated.

“And how exactly are we going to do that, the door we came from is suddenly gone, it’s just four walls around us now” Ava stated.

Juilette suddenly move towards the alter.

“Juilette… Where are you going?” Ava asked.

“I don’t know, but what do you think is in there!” Juilette asked, pointing to the box.

“I don’t know, but it is not a good idea to go close to it Juilette” Jane added.

Juilette paused “But take a look, We get it’s an alter, but try to wonder why the box is at the centre, the crosses, the candles, the books, it seems like they’re all protecting it.” Juilette explained.

“Yes” Ava added stepping forward. “You’re actually right”

“What are you agreeing with Ava, we’re so close to hell guys, please don’t do anything stupid!” Jane panicked.

Juilette walked closer to the alter and leaned down close to it and the darkness she felt coming from the box made her even more curious.

“Juilette please stop, I don’t like where this is going!” Jane shook her head.

“It’s okay” Juilette said gently dropping the flashlight beside her leg on the floor.

As Juilette’s hand slowly reach out to the box, Ava stood curiously watching Juilette do so, while Jane shut her eyes and clasp her hands together emitting broken prayers from her mouth in a whisper.

Immediately Julliette’s hand came into contact with the box, some huge force pushed her back, sending her in the air, causing her to slam her back against the wall.

“Juilette!” Ava and Jane screamed in unison and ran up to Juilette immediately she collided with the floor.

“Juilette!… Juilette are you okay?” Jane asked helping Juilette stand up as her eyes starts to get wet.

“I’m fine.” Juilette let’s out a grunt, as she slowly took in the heavy pain that she felt on her back.

“What were you thinking trying to touch the box.” Ava yelled.

“Don’t act like your agreement didn’t make her do this!” Jane yelled at Ava.

“What the hell are you tal–

“Guys!” Juilette interrupted.  “Don’t fight and I don’t think the box did this to me” Juilette said standing up.

“That force that pushed me wasn’t from the box, it was from me!” Juliette said looking a bewildered and looking down at her hands.

“What.? What do you mean?” Ava asked.

“I don’t know what’s in that box, but I think myself is protecting it from me.” Juilette expound.

    “what?” Jane looked confused.

“I am so lost right now guys” Jane added.

“You see things too Ava, try touching the box yourself and feel what I felt!” Julliette stated sternly.

“I don’t want to” Ava shook her head.

“Just do so.! You’ll feel such powers you haven’t felt before!” Juliette added.

    “But I-

    “Just do it!” Juilette interrupted.

Ava gulped nervously and Juilette raised a brow at her.

“Go on” Juilette tilt her head.

Ava slowly walked towards the alter and just as she was about to touch the box she felt this heavy force and pulled her hand back to herself immediately, but fall to the ground after a second or two.

“Not again!” Jane cried as she and julliette hurried up to Ava.

    “Ava.” Juilette called.

Ava opened her eyes with her hand on her head.

She slowly sat up. “I saw something!” she announced…

“But did you feel that force?” Juilette asked.

“It was more powerful than I could ever imagine.” Ava added breathlessly.

“What did you see then?” Jane asked.

“I saw us destroying this box, and I don’t see my visions this way, I usually see them during my sleeps!” Ava breathed out, she was almost out of breath.

“That means whatever is inside that box needs to be out, we have to destroy it!” Juilette stated.

“But how can we destroy what we can’t touch!” Ava tilt her head.

“Who says we can’t touch it, Jane hasn’t tried touching it and she doesn’t see or feel weird things like we both do.” Juilette shrugged.

“No way, am I touching that box, no damn way!” Jane said, standing straight and taking a step back.

“Jane, you’re our only way, we seriously have to try anything we can right now, Anna’s life is at stake here!” Juilette yelled.

    “But–

“Please Jane!” Juilette yelled interrupting her.

Jane nodded unwillingly and slowly starts to walk up to the alter, she leaned close when she finally got there and her hands shook slightly as she reached for the box, she said to herself a silent prayer before grabbing the box.

“See nothing happened to you!” Juilette said helping Ava up.

Jane clutched the box to her body and took a look at it.

    “It’s locked” she announced.

Suddenly the heaviest blow of wind circulated around the room causing the flames of the candle flicker. And Ava quickly bent down to pick up the flashlight.

“I don’t like what’s happening right now.” Jane panicked.

Standing in front of his grave, in the garden and drawing cross markings with blood all over Anna’s sleeping body, with clementine behind him.

Ludociel suddenly felt surpressed around his chest and fell to his knees.

“My box!” He announced to himself.

He suddenly reminded himself the power he felt from those girls.

It was indeed a bad idea to send them down there after.

But he wasn’t going to let them get away with it. They are children after all.

    REVERENCE
    Reverence Episode 26

    BY RUTHIE LEE

Julliette got dressed that night in her night white dress that swept the floor, she gently got on Anna’s bed and stare at Anna.

‘Wake up anna’ she had sighed.

Looking at Anna and feeling guilty, julliette clasped her hands together and breathed out a sigh.

“God” she stated and closed her eyes.

“I have not prayed before, but I do believe you exist, I just wasn’t taught about your existence, and I don’t know how to pray, but I’m going to say this, please guide Anna and wake her up before morning comes, amen!” Julliette opened her eyes and laid down on the bed.

After staring at the ceiling for what seemed like decades, she finally fell asleep

    .

    .

“Psst! Psst! Julliette!” Ava whispered into Julliette’s ear waking julliette up.

    Julliette’s eyes suddenly fluttered open.

“What?”  Julliette asked sluggishly sitting up.

“Get up!” Ava said holding her hand out so julliette would grab it and sit up straight.

And immediately julliette took Ava’s hand, they both felt some kind of electrical spark.

    “What was that?” Julliette asked.

“I don’t know, it’s not like it’s the first time” Ava said looking at her hand bewilderingly.

“What are you guys still talking about we don’t have much time, it’s three in the morning for Christ’s sake” Jane said walking up to the girls with a flashlight in her hand.

“Why are you guys up by three in the morning.?” Julliette asked.

“ugh” Ava groaned “You are so forgetful, remember how we are supposed to go meet clementine?” Ava folded her hand.

“Oh yeah right” Julliette said standing up.

Julliette slowly looked down at Anna before turning back to the girls.

“Well then, let’s waste no more time.”  Julliette said with the others girls agreeing.

    .

The three of them slowly made their way out of the dormitories and head for the garden behind the school’s building.

“You know, now I’m having second thoughts about this now, what if we can’t find clementine, this was a really stupid idea” Jane said nervously as she walked simultaneously with the other girls.

“Well it’s your idea, and we kind of don’t have a choice” Ava shrugged.

    “Yeah we don’t” Julliette added.

The girls got in front of the garden which had a gate that ‘used’ to be locked.

“Just yesterday the gate was locked” Jane stopped on her tracks.

“Then how come it’s opened!” Ava asked staring the gate’s padlock n keys on the floor..

“Do you think this is trap?” Jane asked.

“We will never know if we don’t go in” Juliette said trying to walk in but Jane pulled her hand, stopping her on her tracks.

    “Don’t!” Jane said.

“So you’re trying to tell me, we woke up this late just to get scared by some locked gate suddenly becoming unlocked, seriously? We’re better than this” Julliette tilt her head.

“You’re right, we can’t just waste our beauty sleeps for this” Ava added.

    “But-

    “No buts” Ava cut Jane.

After making up their minds, the three girls walked into the garden with Jane’s hand shaking slightly. Ava gave a sigh before taking the flashlight from Jane.

“Do you feel that bad energy and aura?” Ava asked looking around.

“Yeah it’s so bad I feel like I’m being squashed right now”

“Let’s try to be cheerful, nothing is going to happen” Julliette stated.

“I wish I had such Confidence” Jane scoffed.

After walking around the garden for what seem like ages, Ava suddenly spotted the garden’s well.

“Guys look!” she said making Jane and julliette turn to the well.

“It’s the well from the story” Jane squealed.

“And it looks so deep” Julliette said taking a step froward.

“Hello?” The girls suddenly heard an unfamiliar voice behind them.

They all paused and slowly start to turn to whoever was behind them.

Still not sure why she was translucent and can’t be seen or touched by anybody, Anna sat at the edge of her bed crying. Nightmares didn’t last this long’ she had thought.

Suddenly the door opened and a tall man dressed in all black walked in, his chiseled jawline was the first thing Anna noticed, and then his well defined features, his eyes were Hazel and he was fine looking in a dignified way.

Anna watched as this man walked up to her and gave a smile.

    “who… Are you?” Anna stuttered.

“Oh, my dear, it is I, ludociel” He replied, his thick and husky voice almost taking over the whole room.

Anna slowly moved back upon hearing his name.

“What do you want?” Anna yelled.

“you don’t have to yell my Dear Anna. Welcome to my world” Ludociel grinned.

“Who… Are you?” Ava managed to ask the unfamiliar girl that had said hello to them.

“First of all who are you?” The girl retorted, she was dressed in a black dress that stopped right at her knee and was also barefooted.

“Are you by any chance, clementine?” Julliette asked stepping forward.

The girl looked down at julliette and asked again.

    “Who are you?”

“Am I right or wrong?” Julliette retorted.

“Did ludociel sent you three here?” the girl asked.

“So I am right. You are clementine, though you don’t look like the clementine we know” Julliette said and Jane couldn’t possibly believe how fearless and brave julliette was.

The girl stepped back and stared at the girls for a while.

“You three, you know too much, how do you know who I am.?” The girl asked.

“One, a chronicle was written about you, and two your boyfriend is trying to kill my best friend” Julliette crossed her hand on her chest.

“Your best friend? My boyfriend? I am so lost, Yes I am clementine, and I believe ludociel didn’t send you here” the girl pointed out.

“of course he didn’t” Ava added.

“And why are you here?” clementine asked.

“We are looking for answers” replied Ava.

“Answers? What kind of answers?” Clementine asked.

“Answers like why. Why are you and ludociel trying to take over the whole school?” Julliette furrowed her brows.

Clementine suddenly looked mad making Jane lean down towards Julliette’s ear and let’s out a whisper. “Now that’s not a question you ask a ghost, look how mad she is”.

“So ludociel is still trying to take over the school” Clementine sighed.

    “still?” Ava repeated.

“Aren’t you in this together with him?” Julliette asked.

“No” clementine sighed. “Now listen carefully, no body knows what happened in the school, expect ludociel and I and before ludociel gets back, I can tell you all what actually happened if you’re willing to listen” Clementine said and Ava nodded.

    “We’re all ears” julliettte added.

Clementine gave a sigh before starting.

“Now as everyone knows, this school used to be a church, years back, but no, this school used to be a house,  a home for ludociel and I.  Ludociel and I were engaged when we got to our early twenties and being engaged to me, ludociel decided to leave his father’s home, because he wanted his own home where he could build his own family, he managed to start a wine business, and believe me when I say wine was the most valued things of those days. Ludociel earned enough to start a home and this particular spot, the place the building is standing, the garden, the entire school ground is owned by ludociel because he bought the land. He managed to build a small house, were he could live with me and maybe later on our future child.  We were both so happy, so very happy, and mind you, ludociel was the sweetest person ever, not until his Older brother sold this land without his consent, he sold it to a group of people called God worshippers, when ludociel found out that he’s been swindled by his older brother, he tried to talk his brother, but unfortunately his brother left for another town with the money, the people who bought the land didn’t try to listen to ludociel and it caused a rift. And at that time I was pregnant with ludociel’s child and couldn’t tell him because of what was going on.

The situation got intense and both ludociel and the buyers won’t give up on the land, I told ludociel to give up but he didn’t listen to me, I understood that it wasn’t right for him to back down because he legally owned the place, but conflict was never the answer.

And then one afternoon when ludociel and I were home alone, where I finally disclosed that I was pregnant to him and he was so happy, but right after that some men came over to demolish our home, while we were still there, the audacity and disrespect they had made ludociel angry and ludociel left the house that day In anger and didn’t return that day.

That day I was so lonely and scared, our home had been demolished and I had nowhere to stay, I just sat in front of the house waiting for ludociel, I didn’t care if he came back late, I was worried about him, and still that same night some unknown men came up to me and well the worst happened. I was raped and it was the same men who demolished our house. I struggled with the men while they tried to pin me down and I lost my baby at the process, because I was brutally raped. And that night was the same night I lost my life.  And years later strangely, I saw myself in the land of the living but I could not be seen or touched, I was scared because I know I died, not until I met ludociel and he told me that he had brought me back to life, I didn’t know how, and a lot had changed, he seemed more darker and he’s left me here in the garden for years, he even feeds me girls… Taking their blood will let me shape shift into them, taking their body and face features, I know it was a wrong thing to do but I was being forced, for years I’ve morphed into different kind of girls that I’ve forgotten what I looked like.  I later found out that my soul has been trapped in this garden and I can’t ever leave it and I also found out that ludociel sold himself to the devil all in the name of revenge and getting back his home”  Clementine gulped after explaining everything.

    “holy crap!” Ava blinked rapidly.

“What ludociel didn’t die. Then how did he became a spirit then?”  Julliette asked.

“You know, I would feel really comfortable if you ask that right to me and in front of my face” A deep and husky voice said behind the girls and they both turned immediately to see a tall man with Anna in his arms.

“welcome to my territory girls!” Ludociel gave a sly grin.

    BY RUTHIE LEE

Julliette and Ava got to the bathroom and stopped on their tracks when they both spot Anna’s body lying on the floor.

Ava quickly rushed up to her on the floor and so did julliette.

    “Anna” Julliette called horridly.

Ava turned her body that was facing the side, to face the ceiling.

Ava paused and breathed a sigh of relief when she placed her hand under Anna’s nose to confirm if she was still breathing.

    “She’s fine” Ava breathed out.

“Are you sure? Check her heartbeat” Julliette said checking her heartbeat.

Julliette breathed a sigh of relief “She is fine, she’s just alseep, thankfully but what do you think happened to her?” Julliette asked tapping Anna lightly on her skin to wake up.

“Anna.” Julliette called and tapping Anna.

    But Anna never respond.

“If she’s alseep, she should wake up when I call out her name, Anna’s a light sleeper, hey Anna wake up.” Julliette said moving Anna’s hand.

“She’s not waking up” Julliette breathed out.

“Let’s take her back to the room, the floor is really cold and she’s in really thin clothing” Ava said standing up.

“help me put her on my back” Ava said squatting beside Anna.

Julliette did so and both girls rushed Anna back to the room.

Julliette helped Ava put Anna on her bed and Anna gave a heavy breathing.

“I’m scared.” Julliette mumbled. “What if she never wakes up” Julliette added.

“We don’t know that for sure, but then again someone can’t be in a deep sleep as deep as this” Ava breathed out.

“But what happened?” Ava turned to julliette.

“I don’t know, one minute I was persuading her to go shower and the next minute we both found her body on the bathroom floor” Julliette expound.

“So the only person who knows what happened is Anna, but she’s asleep, and strangely won’t wake up” Ava sighed moving her hair back in frustration.

“What if she got possessed” Julliette added.

Ava paused and looked at her sister, then back at julliette.

“I don’t think so” Ava shook her head.

“Yeah me too” Juliette sighed. “cause we would have felt the bad aura and energy coming from her but she still gives off her normal Anna aura vibe” Julliette stated.

“No, she could still be possessed, we don’t know that, but don’t you know that sometimes when a person is possessed we won’t be able to feel their presence or aura when they suppress their own spirit and leave the vessel spirit in charge of the body but somehow they’re still in control” Ava explained.

“What? What in the world? And how do you know that?” Julliette asked.

“Staying home with a broken leg, I’ve done my researches, and the reason why I don’t think Anna is possessed is because, if she was the spirit will still be unstable and the dark aura would be all over the place and she would be awake not alseep, cause a spirit can’t function well in a sleeping body” ava blurted.

“Then why won’t she wake up?” Julliette sighed.

“I don’t know, I don’t know what happened to her, but there’s only one person in my mind now. And that is Victoria” Ava said.

“What if she fails to admit it?” Julliette asked sitting beside Anna.

“I won’t know until I ask. Stay with Anna I will be back” Ava said walking out of the room.

Julliette gave a sigh and glanced down at Anna.

“Wake up Anna” she grumbled. “It’s your birthday…”

    *

After walking around the whole school Ava finally spotted Victoria who was just coming out of her dorm room.

     Victoria suddenly smiled seeing Ava.

     Ava rolled her eyes.

“Let me guess, you think I did something to your sister.” Victoria smiled.

“So it was you, good thing you made this easy by answering first” Ava said crossing her hand.

“I made nothing easy, let’s see your sister is practically sleeping beauty and you don’t know when or how she’ll wake up, unless I say so, so how in the world did I make anything easy?” Victoria scoffed.

“What in the world did you do to her.?” Ava asked.

“Shh.. Its still so early, you don’t eat to wake the sleeping birds” Victoria grinned.

“Ludociel you filthy animal, what in the world did you do to my sister?.” Ava asked through gritted teeth.

“For I do not like insults, and I just gave your sister a little kiss and she fell to the floor like a melted ice cream” Victoria grinned, her accent getting a little ancient.

Ava stood still and crossed her arms when she felt ludociel’s dark energy festering the entire hallway.

“ludociel. You don’t know what you’re getting yourself into-

“Oh shush little lady” Victoria interrupted. “You! Yourself don’t know what you’re getting yourself into”.

“I might be ludociel to you, a bodiless man who’s taking advantage of this little girl’s body, yes you do know that I’m not among the living, but I can be if I want to, and you don’t know what I’m capable of, this school is wrapped around my finger and I can make anyone my vessel, except for you and those three. But you’re all just little children, what can you all possibly do, I see you’re also strong headed unlike your sister who’s calm, that’s why I’m keeping her alseep until I deal with you and the other two, she feels more clementine than you, even though you’re both identical, you don’t posses what clementine used to, she was never strong headed and that’s how Anna is and she’s going to stay asleep until I put you and the rest under my control or terminate you” Victoria breathed a happy sigh.

“Shut up” Ava yelled angrily not caring if she would wake anyone. “My sister and I are from another descendant, another generation, your clementine is dead and dust she shall remain, do not try to call any of us clementine.” Ava spat.

Victoria laughed. “But, my clementine isn’t dead, she’s amongst this world and she’s doing perfectly fine, all I just need is a perfect Vessel and we’ll both take what’s rightfully ours, the school!” Victoria smirked.

“Over my dead body will Anna  become a vessel for your dead rotten girlfriend.” Ava said through gritted teeth.

Victoria laughed “Oh really, you are one fierce tiger, sit back and watch me then, watch me get you under my control and watch your sister become clementine, I’m done playing teenagers with everyone, it’s finally time to take action, and no neither you nor your friends can stop me” Victoria said and yanked Ava to the left before walking away.

    *

Ava walked into Anna and Julliette’s room and plopped right beside Anna.

“What’s wrong..? Did you see Victoria.? Did he do this to Anna.?” Julliette asked.

“Yes ludociel did this to Anna, apparently to terminate, you, Jane and make Anna a vessel for clementine.” Ava explained looking lost.

“What?” Julliette screamed. “He said all that?”

“Yes, he said he’s tired of playing teenager and he’s going to take action now, and he’s going to take back the school with clementine”  Ava explained..

    “what?” Julliette screamed again.

“And I don’t even know what to do” Ava shrugged holding back what seemed like guilt and bitterness.

“So Anna’s going to remain like this and who knows what ludociel might pull next.” Julliette stated, worry written all over her eyes.

Both girls suddenly heard a knock on the door and Ava got up to get it.

Jane stood in front of the door with a big cardboard box in her hand and an envelope.

“Oh Ava, you’re here I was wondering where you were, can I come in?” Jane asked and Ava nodded letting Jane in.

Ava closed the door the moment Jane dropped the box on Julliette’s bed.

“So I’m just coming from the principal’s office and this here is a package your mother sent to the school this morning” Jane smiled dropping the envelope on the box.

“Oh Anna’s still asleep.?” Jane stated.

Ava silently walked to the cardboard box and opened it to see another fancy white box inside, and when she opened the white box, it was a white cake and at the top it was written ‘Happy birthday Ava and Anna’.

Ava took out the cake and Jane let’s out a gasp. “It’s so beautiful” she said.

“Yeah it is” Juliette said sadly and glanced down at Anna.

Ava grabbed the envelope and opened it, inside the envelope was a different coloured papers which contained small written wishes from her family.

She grabbed the first yellow coloured paper and read it to herself.

“Happy birthday my little bumpkins, seventeen years ago I thought I wasn’t going to make it out of labour, but look at me now, I’m so proud of my twins, wishing you girls the best, I love you both so much my dear ava and Anna, ~from mom”

Ava grabbed the pink coloured paper that was next and read it too.

“Uhm, twins, this is dad and I miss you girls so much, I haven’t had time to talk to you both, especially you Anna, I hope you’re reading this because you left the house first and you know how you’re always on my neck, I miss that though, wishing you and Ava the very best birthday, May both of your days be good at school ~from dad”

Ava smiled and felt her eyes wet at the same time.

    She took the next paper.

“Mom literally forced me to write this, anyways happy birthday To you girls, the most annoying sisters ever, but then again I love you both and cannot ever say that to your face so forget I wrote that, and Anna my girlfriend says hi, you know you’re her favourite and not Ava, well Ava sorry to say I like Anna more too, mom told me not to pick favourites but you’re just smartly annoying, ~from Archie your handsome brother”

Ava let’s out a small laugh as a tear dropped from her eyes.

    Anna..

     She breathed on the inside.

    Ava grabbed the next paper.

“To be honest, I didn’t remember it was your birthday and promise to make it up to you both when you’re both back from school, so happy birthday to my most beautiful and not so sweet sisters, but they’re literally the best, wish you both the best and wish both of your voices would become tiny so anytime you both fight with Archie I would sleep better without hearing a thing, anyways wish you both the best, happy seventeen and don’t think of having boyfriends just because you’re seventeen especially you Ava, and Anna say hi to that weirdly dressed nun we saw in front of your school the first day we came ~from Connie.“

Ava took the next paper, she was already crying so much. She silently wished Anna was beside her and they were both reading it together and laughing at Archie and Connie being crackheads.

“Happy birthday to my amazing and favourite twins, you’re both so lovely and talented and sometimes clowns, and Ava mom placed three candles inside the cake instead of two, incase you blow out her candle like you did last time, just be a good sister to Anna, she can be stubborn but you still came to the world first, be a good sister and an older one to her, be there for here and do not let anything bad happen to her, you’re the oldest after all and I wish you both the brains, the best, and… Safety… I don’t know what to write anymore, safety? What am I even thinking, I just wish you the best Ava an Anna and Anna try not to be so stubborn. ~from Joan your cool older sister“

Ava plopped down to the floor startling julliette and Jane, they both watch the papers fall from Ava’s hand and giant tears escaping her eyes.

“Ava. What’s wrong?” Jane asked rushing up to her and picking the papers…

“this is the worst birthday ever!” Ava sniffed.

    BY RUTHIE LEE
Juilette and Anna wandered around the shelves in the library looking for the school’s year book that’s over forty year ago.
“Found it” Juliette whisper yelled when she found the school’s year book from 1985.
    “Finally” Anna breathed out.
“The librarian warned us to leave soon before the next class, so let’s Hurry up” Juilette said sitting down and turning pages of the year book.
“I didn’t know the school was this populated” Julliette scoffed as she kept turning pages.
Anna leaned down close to julliette see the book too, as both girls quietly turned pages looking at every picture of all students to see if the name Nora Albert would appear anywhere and after turning almost the whole book, the name Nora Albert flashed before Anna’s eyes.
“At the bottom of the page” She gasped pointing to the name and the picture of a girl right above it.
“What in the world?” Juilette laughed happily. “This is you!” Julliette stated.
“No way…” Anna’s jaw dropped as she grabbed the book to take a look at the picture, the picture was all white and black but the resemblance between Nora and Anna was immaculate.
“She looks more like Ava to me.” Anna said dropping the book.
“And who is Ava? Your identical twin sister, Anna this Nora Albert looks just like you this is creepy but then fun” Julliette barked.
“How is this fun? This is scaring the life out of me! Even I don’t look so much like my mom And it’s not funny at all, why do you keep smiling.?” Anna rolled her eyes.
“Because I told you so” Julliette smiled. “And you don’t have to be afraid just because someone who isn’t related to you, looks like you, you found your doppelganger you should be happy.”
    “Doppelganger what’s that?” Anna asked.
“It’s a person who looks incredibly similar to you, that isn’t related to you, and besides, according to researchers we have one in one hundred and thirty five chance of having a doppelganger” Juliette explained.
“How do you know all this.” Anna scoffed.
“Easy, I just have and do what you don’t, I’m smart and I study” Juliette boasted.
“Oh please” Anna laughed giving julliette a painless smack at the back of her head.
    “Am not wrong” Julliette laughed.
Suddenly they both heard the bell and they both shrieked.
“Next class will begin soon” Anna announced.
“Good thing, we’re done here” Julliette said placing the book back on the shelf.
“Great, let’s get out of here” Anna said as shoved a chair aside and starts to walk out of the library with  julliettte behind her.
Both of the girls made it out of the library to clash with the crowded hallway, everyone seemed to be rushing and running towards the beginning of the hallway and the murmurs caused a disturbing noise in the hallway.
“What do you think is going on?” Anna asked.
“We won’t find out if we don’t see for ourselves, come on” Juliette said pulling Anna’s hand and heading towards the crowd that was starting to form in front of the hallway.
Julliette and Anna made it through the crowd and was shocked when they saw two nuns carrying Victoria’s body.
“Wait? What happened?” Julliette asked a girl standing beside her.
“She suddenly walked out of class and passed out” The girl replied.
“It’s not like she’s sick or anything she just passed out?” Anna chimed in and the girl nodded.
The nuns left with Victoria after telling the students to go back to class.
    *
“What do you think might have made her pass out?” Anna asked julliette as they both walked into their class.
“I don’t know, could be anything, or worse” Juliette shrugged.
Both girls walked into the class and got seated waiting and ready for whoever was going to teach.
    .
    .
Time went by so fast and before the girls knew it, it was lunch break.
Everyone gathered the table ready to be served lunch, and as Jane said a small prayer, the door opened and Victoria walked in. Chat MartinMartino on zero eight one eighty thirty fourteen twenty one to be added to his whatsapp group.
Everyone turned to her and her friends rushed up to her asking her if she was okay and she just gave them a smile telling them she’s fine.
Julliette’s eyes never left victoria as Victoria walked up to the chair in front of Anna to sit down.
“Hi” Victoria smiled at Anna and then at julliette.
“You passed out earlier are you okay?” Anna asked.
    “I’m perfectly fine” Victoria smiled.
“So you weren’t sick or anything you just passed out?” Julliette chimed in.
“Yeah, isn’t that something normal?” Victoria shrugged.
“It’s not” Julliette shook her head.
    “It is” Anna added.
    “Exactly Anna” Victoria smiled.
    .
After lunch, class continued and Anna and julliette respectively went to every class before classes for the day ended.
    ,
“I’m so tired” Julliette groaned falling on Anna’s bed immediately she and Anna both walked into their room.
“same here” Anna breathed out sitting beside Julliette.
“They should ring the dinner bell already, I’m starving” Julliette huffed.
“You are always starving” Anna rolled her eyes.
“So like did you see the way Victoria was looking at you at lunch?” Juilette stated sitting up.
“I-I didn’t… How did she… Look at me?” Anna asked, confused.
“You didn’t see? And she was sitting opposite you!” Juliette hollered.
“Well it’s possible, how did she look at me?” Anna asked.
“Like she was about to eat you alive” Julliette rolled her eyes.
    “What?” Anna was confused.
“Lust!.. She had that kind of look in her eyes!” Juliette stated.
“Gross, why would she Lust over me.” Anna scoffed.
“I’m just telling you what I saw.” Juilette sighed.
“Well I hope you’re wrong” Anna stated.
A knock on the door made both girls glance at each other before walking up to the door to get it.
“Hi” Victoria smiled immediately Anna opened the door.
“Speak of the devil” Julliette muttered lowly before stepping in front of Anna.
“And Victoria why are you here?” Juilette faked a smile.
“Oh it will be dinner any moment from now, and I thought it’d be nice to sit close to Anna” Victoria smiled.
Julliette glanced back at Anna and then Turned to Victoria.
“sit close to Anna, and since when did that became a thing you want to do?” Julliette crossed her arms.
“Oh I just find her interesting.” Victoria laughed.
“Do you know you’re becoming interesting yourself too!” Julliette said walking close to Victoria.
“What do you mean?” victoria smiled.
“Cause you didn’t seem like you were interested in her this morning in class and now all of a sudden you want to sit down close to her, what is she, some sort of dessert?” Julliette snapped.
“Look Anna haven’t even said a thing, just let me in I didn’t even come here for you” Victoria rolled her eyes.
“Sorry, you can’t come in” Juliette said blocking the path Victoria wanted to take.
“What is wrong with you, Anna say something” Victoria whined frowning.
“Give me your reason why you want to sit with Anna and why you find her interesting and I’ll let you in” Julliette said pursing her lips and batting her lashes.
“Really I have to give you a reason.?” Victoria scoffed.
“yep” Julliette stated popping the ‘p’.
“Fine, I just find her really mesmerizing and pretty too” Victoria shrugged.
Julliette gave an angry laugh. “So you’re in love with her?” Julliette raised her brows.
    “Juliette…” Anna rolled her eyes.
“I’m not saying in love I’m just thinking we could be friends” Victoria shrugged with a smile staring at Anna.
Anna looked sideways getting uncomfortable from the stares.
“Well guess what? Anna doesn’t want to be friends with you” Julliette stated.
“Hey I didn’t say that” Anna suddenly protested.
“Yes but I did” Juliette stated glaring at Victoria.
“Who are you to Anna to speak for her” Victoria asked.
“None of your ugly business” Juliette replied walking back inside and shutting the door.
Victoria furrowed her brows in anger before walking away.
    ,
“Did you see what I was trying to tell you?” Juliette barked.
    “I’m confused” Anna sighed.
“There’s nothing to be confused about” Julliette rolled her eyes.
“The way she was looking at me, it was quite scary.” Anna stated.
“That wasn’t scary that was lust” Juliette stated.
“And how do you know what lust looks like miss know it all” Anna protested with a smirk.
“You know, they look at you like you’re some sugarcandy and they just want to taste you”  Julliette expound.
“how old are you Julliette.” Anna suddenly asked.
“Why do you ask?” Juilette scoffed.
“Because you seem to know more than you’re supposed to, are you sure you’re not sixty trapped In a teenager’s body?” Anna joked with a small laugh.
    Julliette laughed. “You’re crazy”.
“Here’s the deal, I’m smart and you’re not” Juliette stated making Anna rolled her eyes again.
“But just to be sure, how old are you?” Anna joked.
“I’m sixteen shut up” Juliette yelled.
Anna laughed. “You’re kind of short for your age”.
Julliette glared at Anna. “or maybe you’re too tall for your age” Julliette barked.
“What? Now that sounds just so stupid” Anna stated.
“Your height sounds stupid” Juliette mumbled causing Anna to gasp.
“You’re just jealous that I’m taller” Anna laughed.
This was exactly the Kind of childish fights she had with her sister and she did liked it.
“Well maybe I am jealous, but don’t forget the fact that I am still smarter and always will be” Juliette added.
    “Oh pl-
The bell stopped Anna from completing her words and Juilette gasped happily.
“Finally… Some food!” Juliette said walking out of the room with Anna shaking her head and trailing behind her.
    :
Gathered around the dinner table, julliette wasted no time in devouring what was in her plate and immediately dinner was over, Victoria rushed up to Anna who was standing up.
“Anna” Victoria said with a smile…
“Oh, Victoria hi” Anna gave a faux smile.
“Thank goodness julliette isn’t with you, I don’t like her and don’t even understand why you hang out with her” Victoria stated.
“You definitely woke up on the wrong side of bed today Victoria” Juliette said out of nowhere stepping in between Victoria and Anna.
“How are you everywhere I hate you” Victoria smiled.
“Thank you, I don’t hate you, you just have some screw lose” Juliette smiled back.
Jane suddenly walked up to the girls, unlike looking so bright and active like always, Jane looked rather dull and sick.
    “Anna…” Jane called.
“Your mother called while you were in class, and since she didn’t want to interrupt she told me to pass the message to you” Jane stated.
    “Okay…” Anna replied.
“She Said Ava will be retuning to school by Monday and she’s wishing you a happy birthday in adva-
Jane suddenly collapse to the floor.

spirits like that smell your fear, they stand no chance against you when you’re not afraid, but takes over you when they smell the fear coming from you, so I beg you… Swallow your fear, do what you can Anna! ” Juliette expound leaving Anna frozen on her spot.

She couldn’t comprehend what was going on.

Anna felt her body shivering due to the information she just recieved from Juliette and no matter how hard she tried to calm herself down nothing was working.

“Look it’s okay. Don’t feel too scared and let’s go back to sleep”  Juliette gave a warm smile.

“If it makes you feel any better we can talk about this tomorrow morning, forget we heard anything, or you heard my voice tonight, let’s just try to swallow in whatever happened tonight” Juliette said and though she was giving words of comfort Anna’s fear wasn’t ready to drop.

Anna did have a lot of questions at that moment but had to sulk in it too, there’s almost tomorrow to begin with.

Anna nodded sightly and walked back to her bed and so did juilette.

Anna tucked herself inside her bed and just stared at the ceiling, Juliette sat on her own and watched Juliette watch the ceiling without saying anything.

“Still thinking about tonight’s event huh?” Julliette asked

“It’s hard to not think about and with the whole school being infected or something” Anna sighed.

“Just try to not think about it and try to sleep” Juliette stated.

“I’m still perplexed of how you’re so calm about this, I didn’t get to see the so called spirits but you did and still you’re not scared” Anna said.

“Normally I would be scared but then I know the consequences of being scared and I try to fight it” Juliette replied…

“You have a strong mind, I’m jealous” Anna sighed.

“We all have a strong mind, we just have to beat the weak one first” Julliete shrugged and Anna sighed and turned to her side..

“That will take me years, I don’t think I’ll be able to fall asleep tonight” Anna mumbled.

“Want to share the same bed tonight?” Juliette asked hoping for a positive answer.

Anna threw a glance at her “Mine?” she asked.

“Definitely” Julliete smiled grabbing her pillow and walking down from her bed to Anna’s bed. “I didn’t like my part of room to begin with. It’s dark” Juliette said getting one Anna’s bed.

“Strange, we’re both skinny but the big bed’s still tight” Julliete joked.

“Oops sorry” Anna said scooting over and leaving enough room in the middle proving there’s enough space on the bed.

“Finally on the bright part of the room” Juliette announced happily.

“Still need a crystal explanation on what you mean by the bright and dark part of the room” Anna said.

“I’ll tell you tomorrow, but just so you know, I’m never going back to my bed” Juilette said snuggling her face in her pillow.

“You want Jane crying about reporting on us on our doorstep?” Anna hissed making Juliette laugh.

“She can report all she want, I’ll find my way out of it” julliette said.

“You must be pretty stubborn at home” Anna joked.

“Well no, I’m very quiet at home, it’s just me at home, my parents travel all the time and being the only one at home all the damn time, I just talk to myself or watch some movies, so there was no one around to exhibit what you call stubborn” julliette said turning to her left to face Anna.

Anna whose eyes were fixated on the ceiling smiled recalling a memory.

“I remembered when my parents travelled once, my three older siblings were at college then, leaving the house for just me, Ava, Archie my other older brother and Tommy the last child at home, and well let’s just say the house almost came down crashing…

As Anna talked about home, julliete said nothing and just stared at her side profile trying to comprehend the beaut in front of her, the way her eyes lits up when she talked about Ava or any other sibling. The way her smile was relaxed on her face as she stared at the ceiling and the way she batted her lashes prettily on her eyes.

Julliette shut her eyes and opened them back again when she realised she had been staring for too long and let’s out a ‘dang it’ that almost came out of a whisper.

“Huh?” Juilette Turned to her “am I boring you?” Anna asked.

“No.. No you’re not, I was just caught up in my own thoughts” Julliette replied.

“Oh sorry, I should stop talking now”  Anna said.

“You can continue if you want, I was really enjoying Archie preparing a spaghetti that looked like cow’s poop” Julliette said and let’s out a small giggle.

“well we have to fall asleep early in order to get up early” Anna said.

“Looks like your fear has calm down a bit” Julliette stated.

    “It has” Anna nodded.

“Thanks to my comforting presence” Julliette bragged making Anna rolled her eyes with a smile.

Anna breathed out loud and closed her eyes.

“Good night” she said lowly to Julliette.

    “Good night” Julliette replied

Anna opened her eyes in frustration thirty minutes later “I can’t fall asleep” she announced, making Julliette sleepy eyes fluttered open.

“Want to try holding my hand?” Juliette asked.

Anna nodded and both girls clasped hands.

And just as Julliette fell asleep, Anna drifted to sleep too.

Anna glanced around the unknown place she was, it was like a place of nowhere with just the ground at her feet, and the sky three inches above her head, it was scary.

Suddenly she saw someone running towards her from afar. She noticed it was Ava running towards her with a smile and immediately she got to her Ava threw a hug around her body.

    “Ava” Anna called surprised.

“It’s so good to finally see you, guess what?” Ava asked gleefully..

    “What?” Anna asked

“my leg is fine and I’ll be starting school in about two Weeks” Ava said happily.

“No you can’t come to this school it’s not safe tell mom–

Anna stopped talking when her sister vanished into thin hair.

She suddenly heard Juliette’s voice behind her and when she turned she found herself in their room in school.

“What’s wrong?” Anna asked seeing Juliette cry.

“It’s Anna…” Juliette sniffed pointing to the floor.

“What’s wrong with me, I’m right here” Anna said.

“Anna won’t move or wake up” Juliette sniffed.

“But I’m right here” Anna said but was suddenly startled when she heard another voice behind her and turned to see herself talking to Juliette, and her present self felt more like an illusion.

Anna looked down at the dead girl on the floor Juliette has been crying about and shook her head.

    “That isn’t me.” she said.

    It’s Ava.

Anna was a bit confused about the whole situation and was trying to comprehend what was going on when the scenery changed.

She suddenly found herself behind the school in an unknown kind of garden but it was still the school’s vicinity.

“I never knew a garden existed in our school” Anna heard Juliette’s voice behind her.

“Well no one is allowed in here, so we’re all going to get seriously punished if we get caught” Anna heard an unknown voice behind her and turned to see a face she doesn’t recognize.

    “Who… Ar..e… You?” Anna asked.

    “I’m Victoria” the girl smiled.

    .

    .

Juilette and Anna’s eyes opened at the same time and immediately the school bell was rung. Both girls sprung out of bed, their clasp hand they held last night releasing at full speed and rushed to the bathroom stall to get ready for breakfast before going to class.

While getting dressed for class Juliette said with a smile . “besides monday and Friday, the rest of the weekdays we have the same classes”.

“Juliette, I had a weird dream” Anna announced,

“Oh really? I did had a dream, it wasn’t weird, but I think I’ll take it as more of a vision” Juliette replied.

“So what’s this weird dream about?” Juliette asked packing her hair up and placing her rosary on her neck.

“Okay so it’s really weird and things just happened too quickly, so first I saw Ava telling me about how she’s healed and how she will be starting school soon, and then I saw you crying that I won’t move or wake up but that wasn’t me and then there was this girl, Vanessa… Veronica.. I don’t remember her name” Anna said with a sigh trying to remember the dream.

    “Victoria” Juliette helped.

Anna looked up at Juliette. “How did you know?”

“I should be asking you that, because that is the same vision I had in my sleep, and then you dreamt about it, how is that even possible?” Juliette asked.

“Wait really?” Anna was taken aback.

“Yes I’m serious, this victoria girl took us to this garden behind the school, though the garden is closed we managed to walk in through the back and saw pretty strange things and marking on the floor and trees” Juliette said.

“I don’t think I dreamt about any weird markings on the floor or tree but I did see the Victoria girl telling us we’ll get punished if we were caught in the garden” Anna expound.

“Well I did see markings and did see her say that too, looks like my vision was more detailed than your dream, but then again we saw the same time.” Juliette stated a hidden smile trying to creep up her face.

“Could it be possible because we held hands as we slept?” Anna asked.

    “It might be!” Juliette shrugged.

“We literally need any explanation for this, logically, scientifically or religiously we need one.” Anna said.

“Yeah” Juliette said, her smile finally creeping out

“Why are you so happy about this?” Anna asked.

“Cause it feels like I don’t have to carry this strange burden alone on my shoulder anymore, someone else saw my vision” Juliette replied.

Anna gave her a look. “Sleep in your bed tonight”

“No, I told you, I’m not going back to that dark part of the room” Juliette replied.

“And what do you mean dark part, elaborate on that now” Anna said.

“Okay so naturally I have the brighter part of the room cause the window is opposite my bed and you have the darker part of the room” Juliette said.

“Okay keep going.” Anna folded her hand.

“Now I don’t know if this will work, but it worked last night so let’s try it, give me your hand.” Juliette said.

Anna did so and placed her hand on Juliette’s hand and Juliette clasped both of their hands.

“Now close your eyes” Juliette said and Anna did so.

Of course everywhere was black and dark with their eyes shut, but slowly through their closed eyes, Anna saw as the room appeared in front of her closed eyes and how the window was no longer facing Juliette’s bed but her own bed, and julliette bed and the side of her room was so dark you could hardly see anything.

Anna suddenly opened her eyes and let go of julliette’s hand.

“You saw it right?” julliette asked.

    “I did” Anna replied.

“See, that part of the room is being infected because of the alter being close to it, to everyone’s eyes I have the bright part of the room, but spiritually, you have the brighter part of the room”. Juliette expound.Hi Peacemaker to add you to d stories +2348037873157

“I’ll be calling my mom and heading home soon, this is all too much to take in” Anna sighed.

“Now don’t be silly” Juliette laughed walking up to the door.

“come on, we shouldn’t be late for class” Juliette said and as she stepped out of the door she bumped into a girl running in the hallway and they both fell to the floor.

“Are you okay?” Anna asked both of them helping Juliette up.

“Hopefully” Juliette replied standing up and helping the girl up.

“Sorry” the girl apologized looking up at Juliette and suddenly let’s out a gasp.

“You’re the girl with the white hair” she said to Juliette.

“It’s grey not white and how nice of you” Juliette said sarcastically.

“Sorry if I got on your nerve” The girl giggled slowly.

“You did get on my nerve, it’s not funny when you start getting grey hair you know” Juliette said and the girl apologized again.

Juliette paused and looked at the girl’s familiar face, she glanced at Anna and then back at the girl.

“What’s your name?” Juliette curiously asked without thinking.

“Huh? You’re not going to report me are you?” The girl squealed.

    “I’m not” Juliette scoffed.

“Okay… It’s Victoria” The girl replied.

                             ELENA

I walked down the stairs to get myself water, when i met Jace and Celine chatting and laughing.

I ignored them and walked to the kitchen to take water. I was feeling so jealous, yes. I couldn’t deny it.

I was drinking the water when my phone vibrated. I opened it and I saw Stefan calling. I heaved rolling my eyes before picking up.

    📲Hey Babe.

    📲 Hey *faking a smile*

    📲Are you less busy

    📲Why?

📲I thought we should hang out, you know….

📲Stefan, I am not really in the mood to go out. I need to rest.

📲Oh really. It’s fine. I can come over.

📲No Stefan. Don’t, you don’t have to. I will do just fine.

📲Okay. I actually thought we were getting back to the old ways but…

📲There is no going back to the old ways for both of us Stefan.

📲Wow, you finally got Celine’s advice right? After seeing she Is going after Jace.

    📲What do you mean??

📲You can ask Celine about it

    📲You are such a d**k.

    📲I know.

I hung up and stared into space trying to get what he was trying to say.

“What does he mean by Celine’s advice? What did she tell him?

I walked out of the kitchen and headed to the Living room to where Jace and Celine was.

“I hope I am not interrupting anything?” I asked smriking.

“Not at all Elena. You care to join us?” Celine asked looking at me and so was Jace. He kept staring at me.

“I would prefer I talked to you in private Celine.” I said staring at her.

    “Is everything okay?” Jace asked.

“Yes it is. It’s girls talk. So please can you please release your girlfriend for few minutes.” I said faking a smile and she looked at Jace.

“Excuse me.” She said standing up and I led the way to the room.

“Elena what is this about?” She asked and I turned to look at her.

“What did you tell to Stefan?” I asked folding my hands.

“So that idiot talked to you.” She said sighing.

“Yes he did. And I need to know what you told him Celine.” I said sitting on the bed.

“Fine, I will tell you. Just know that I did it because of the love I have for you.”

“The last time we talked about Stefan and it seemed like you weren’t ready to wise up about that fact that he doesn’t want you anymore..”

“I went to his house the next morning to talk to him, and when he opened up, I walked Into the house and saw he had naked ladies all over his house. The pictures he uploaded on Instagram.”

“I told him I needed him to let you know he had moved on and he doesn’t love you anymore since you can’t see it clearly that he doesn’t.”

“He said it’s quite obvious but you just don’t want to see it. He said he thought you have moved on since you are with Jace, and didn’t even come to town for you in the first place.”

“I said he shouldn’t tell that to me, but to you because you didn’t want to give Jace a chance because of him. Though I didn’t tell him about Jace.”

“He promised to make it clear to you. But clearly he changed his mind about that .” She explained.

“So he suspected I was pretending to be happy with Jace when you told him, that’s why he came back to me.” I said looking at her.

“He came bacK? When?” She asked.

“We went out on a date, and that same restaurant, you came In with Jace. So I left earlier.” I said looking at her.

“You saw us?” She asked and I nodded.

“Yes I did. And I left early because I couldn’t stand it.” I said with my head bowed and she held my hand.

“Listen Elena. This….” She said and then we heard some noises In the living room.

    “Who is that?” She asked.

“There is only one way to find out.” I said standing up as we both walked out to the living room.

We got there and I saw Jace’s stepmother Andrey in the living room.

“Mrs Stone. Good day Ma’am.” I said happily.

“My beautiful Fiancee. How are you doing?” She asked hugging me.

“I am great.” I said and she looked at Celine.

“Who is she?” She asked looking at us.

“Our friend.” Jace and I chorused staring at each other.

“My childrens friend are my friends too.” She said hugging Celine and she smiled.

“Good day Ma’am.” She said and she nodded.

“Good news! There is this wonderful vacation I want you two to go. It’s for couples.” She said touching my cheek and Jace’s.

We looked at each other and then looked at Celine who was speechless.
