    ( S£XY POSSESSIVENESS )

Rosario came in and stopped on his tracks immediately he saw them.

The anger he had in him from the lab collided with the anger that hit his body right now

Clyde’s darn arm on her waist, his f+cking face on her chest, and the shirt she’s wearing!

His body started shaking with anger when he couldn’t control it.

The worse part is that they’re not aware of his presence, they didn’t move at all.

Maybe because the door made no sound.

Clyde snuggled closer to Mary, and he finally exploded with furiousness.

He drew his gun and the sound it made was what made Clyde look up from her chest, his eyes widened when he saw Rosario aiming for him.

    “Boss!” He tried sitting up.

“Ahh!” He groaned as pains gripped him.

Mary quickly got down from the bed, and her eyes bulged too when she saw the gun.

“My…my.. Lord” she stuttered, and like that…. Rosario pulled the trigger on Clyde.

“No!” Mary gasped, but Rapunzel ran in, covering Clyde.

The bullet hit her back instead, and Mary covered her mouth in shock.

Rapunzel fell on Clyde with bloody back, her blood started wetting the bed.

    “Rapunzel!” Clyde held her tightly.

    Rosario aimed for Clyde again.

“How dare you touch her!, Did you save her to have her?, How dare you lay a finger on her body!” He yelled lividly.

Clyde swallowed hard, he has really not seen an angry Rosario like this before.

Mary was already shaking uncontrollably, praying silently that he shouldn’t pull the trigger again, but it seems he’s really gonna do it.

“My Lord!!!” She shouted, going on her knees.

She started rubbing her palms together.

“My Lord, please just kill me instead, pull the trigger on me I beg you!!!” She begged loudly, and Rosario shifted his eyes to her.

Immediately his eyes met her apologetic own, the redness in his eyes started reducing.

Rapunzel was still m+aning in pains for the bullet she received as he brought down his arm.

“You have just one minute to get to my mansion” he ordered, and Mary stood quickly.

She scurried out of the apartment and Rosario followed immediately.

“Rapunzel are you ok?, Rapunzel!” Clyde made her kneel on the bed.

“I’m fine” she smiled, holding her bleeding back.

“Rapunzel!” Pandora rushed in, shocked to see her in that state.

    “What exactly happened?”

“It’s Lord Rosario” Rapunzel replied as she helped her down from the bed.

“Why?, Why would he?” Pandora asked confusedly.

“It’s all my fault, and I’m sorry” Clyde said slowly, and Pandora faced him.

    “Your fault?, How the f+ck”

“Dora, take me to the apartment for now, please” Rapunzel said, and Pandora guided her out immediately.

Clyde imagined the scene again in his head and sighed.

“Can I stay away from her?, She kept drawing me close no matter how much I pretend to hate her” he muttered.

    *******

    CELL VAULTS**

Rosario went there immediately he left Clyde’s apartment, since he still has unsettled situation there…the spy.

He entered the third room and met Hellcat there already, no Romanio in sight.

A girl was tied to the roof planks… legs first, and her body dangled in the air.

Her skin is bloody, she has torture marks everywhere, and her blood is still draining down, forming a stream.

Painful m+ans escaped her lips from time to time.

“Where’s Roma?” He asked, not taking his eyes off the girl.

“He’s probably looking for what to break again, you know how he is” Hellcat replied, and Rosario walked closer to the girl.

He raised a strand of her bloody hair from her face and smirked.

“Working with Lucifer?” He asked, and she started shivering.

“I found her at the mouth of the woods last night, and I trailed her when I got suspicious, she was talking on phone while looking around, from her conversation, I learnt she’s talking to a member of The Imperium, I got her phone and ransacked it, all call history has been deleted so I only found the history of the one I caught her making, and she confessed that she’s talking to an Imperium member, but she said she had just connived, and she knows nothing about Miele” Hellcat explained.

Rosario grabbed the girl’s hair, and she winced out as pains gripped her.

“You dare connive?, You’re tired of living obviously” he whispered.

“I hate spies like Mary!, How could you not have a single likeness for your f*cking life!” He yelled hotly.

“I’m so sorry boss, I’m sorry please spare me, I….

She didn’t get the chance to say the remaining, cos Rosario stuck a dagger in her throat, and she dropped dead.

He walked out of the room immediately, and Hellcat followed.

“That means the spy is still in the mob, and we have to find anyone it is” she said as she walked by his side.

“Lucifer knows my weakness, and that bastard will wanna use that card again” he replied, and Hellcat held his hand to stop him.

    He faced her.

“Can’t you just get over the trauma?, It’s f*cking dangerous” she said, looking into her eyes.

“Easier said than done” he replied and took his hand from her, he walked out of the vault and Hellcat sighed.

Immediately she left the vault, she ran into Pierce.

    “Cat!” He smiled.

“What the heck are you doing here when you should be in the lab?” She glared meanly.

“I wanted to give you this” he replied, showing her an hairpin.

Her eyes widened, and she snatched it from him.

“It fell from you the other time in the lab, it’s pretty” he said, and she muttered a dry ‘thanks’ before trying to leave.

“Cat!, You…. don’t hate me,, right?” He asked, and she looked back.

“Why would I hate you?, Kiddo” she said, and he gasped.

“I’m twenty, I’m not a kid” he mumbled cutely, sucking on his lower lip s+xily.

Hellcat nodded and left, smiling as she folded her palms securely on the pin.

Pierce smiled and made his way back to the lab, meeting Aaron by the door.

“I’ve not seen you since last night, were you at the torture arena?” He asked.

“Nope, something came up in my apartment, I woke up late this morning” Aaron replied.

    “Oh”

“Have you seen Mary today?” He asked.

    “You mean Madonna?” Pierce chuckled.

    “Whatever, have you seen her?”

    “No, why?”

“Nothing, Lush has been looking for you” Aaron replied and walked away.

Pierce entered the lab and Lush stood from the front of her system immediately, rushing to him.

Before he could talk, she hugged him tightly.

“Hey I’m suffocating” he broke the hug.

“Where have you been?, My brain computer has been misbehaving and I almost went crazy trying to reset it myself” she pouted.

“For real?” His eyes widened and he rushed to the two separated computers in the lab. Their brain computers.

Yeah, their brains is being programmed by computers.

“Luckily, I was able to reset it” she said, holding his arm.

    “I’m glad” he inhaled.

“But where did you go without me?” She asked.

“To meet Hellcat” he smiled, and she let go of his arm immediately.

She went back to the front of the system she was sitting at.

“Hey, is something wrong?” He asked.

“No, get back to work” she replied dryly, and he sighed.

    *****

Aaron went to Mary’s apartment but couldn’t find her there, he left worriedly, wondering where she might be.

“Lord Rosario’s mansion?” He asked himself and looked at the apple tree.

“The fairy is not there” he smiled, bumping into Nightingale.

Immediately their eyes met, she started walking away fast.

“To hell with Romanio, Romanio is a bastard” he whispered, and she stopped to look at him.

He smiled naughtily, and she rushed away.

    “Dumbass” he giggled.

    “Dude!” Terrius joined him.

    “How’s Clyde doing?” He asked.

“He’s improving fast, but Rapunzel got shot” Terrius replied.

    “Who?” Aaron asked surprisingly.

    “Lord Rosario”

“Huh?, He never pulls the trigger without a tangible reason so why?”

“That, we don’t know” Terrius replied.

I was sold but I got married

    An Indian romance story

     ‡‡‡‡‡‡ ‡‡‡‡‡‡ ‡‡‡‡‡‡ ‡‡‡‡‡‡ ‡‡‡‡‡‡
          Krishna’s Pov:
    My heart skipped 💓
As Aakash Sir quickly removed my veil.
His lips parted as his jaw dropped.
He stared at me in astonishment….
“Hey! What are you doing here? And why are you dressed like a married woman?” He asked giving me a disdainful look.
    “Aakash Sir I..” I stammered
“Shut up! What are you still doing sitting on my bed? Will you get the hell up” He screamed at me as hot tears dropped down my cheeks.
I quickly got up shivering in fear.
He looked at the dressing mirror and snorted.
“Where’s Simitra? Where are her makeups?” He asked with his eyes fixed on the table.
“She was… She was sent to the cottage” I broke down as he gasped.
“What? My wife? In the cottage?” He flinched as he looked at me with so much hatred
“And what are you doing here?” Aakash asked
“The master said I should….” I stammered in tears.
“Get out!” Aakash shouted at me as I quickly rushed out of the room.
I rushed to the servants quarters and broke into tears.
    I was so heartbroken. 💔
Aakash Sir is so mean… 😭
          Lakshmi’s Pov:
“Madam Pavitra…. Your nails looks absolutely beautiful” I said as I was doing pedicure for her.
“Thank you so much Lakshmi” She smiled excitedly
“You know ma’am Pavitra, you and your daughter Rani are so lucky to be rich” I said
“Oh come on Lakshmi… Your old brain won’t let you understand the kind of humiliation Rani and I go through her” Pavitra sighed sadly
“What do you mean ma’am Pavitra?” I asked anxiously.
“Being a Singh is really difficult… Just imagine my sister in-law Simitra bought a new maid and the seer said that goddess Durga chose the slave to be the mother of the heir” Pavitra said as my eyes widened in shock.
“What? A slave?” I said shocked
“Yes! And am sure once that slave gives birth to the heir, my Rani won’t be recognized again” Pavitra said as I shook my head.
💭 What? I can’t let that happen… I’ve always wanted my daughter Saloni to marry Aakash sir 💭 I thought.
I know you are surprised right?
    Well my name is Lakshmi..
And I have a very beautiful daughter Saloni.
She’s not actually my daughter, she’s my grand daughter.
Her mother was my daughter before she died while giving birth to Saloni.
So I nursed Saloni from childhood
Am really an old woman but strong though.
And I always come to the mansion to do manicure and pedicure for ma’am Pavitra.
And yes! I want my granddaughter to marry Aakash.
Of course everyone knows how wealthy the Singh’s are.
And that they desperately needs an heir.
I’ve always wanted my daughter to be the mother of the heir.
I even begged ma’am Pavitra to employ my daughter as a cleaner.
We always come from house to work at the mansion.
So the slave’s presence in the mansion is a big threat.
    And I don’t accept defeat.
    I grinned wickedly…..
          Aakash’s Pov:
I watched her run out of the room in fear as I banged the door.
I quickly sat on my bed.
    Was I too mean?
    Was I wicked?
    Am I a bad person?
    Was my attitude too harsh?
I felt sorry for the poor girl for once….
She wasn’t just sold, now she has to marry too.
Why am I feeling sorry for her?
Does this mean I have a soft spot for her?
I thought 💭 and shrugged it off.
I quickly stormed out of the room straight to the cottage downstairs.
I didn’t bother to knock, I opened the door and shouted in fear.
    I was so scared.
I saw a woman with a white chalky substance rubbed on her face.
I almost died of heart attack.
😱 Who are you? 😱 I screamed in fear
And to my greatest surprise, she burst into laughter.
That was when I realised it was Simitra.
I heaved a sigh of relief.
“What’s this all about Simitra?” I asked still in shock.
“Oh come on! This is just a face smoothening substance” She laughed.
She’s not even sad that she’s no longer going to be close to me.
    Does Simitra even love me?
“Come back to the mansion Simitra….” I said as she scoffed
“Are you kidding me? I don’t want to.. This cottage is giving me enough time to take care of my beauty without any distractions” She said as I gasped.
    “What?” I asked in shock….

     NARRATOR POV

Richard came back with the files and saw Aurora still seated by the gate side, he moved to her.

“I found it”. He said smiling and Aurora stood up.

        ” Ok, sir”.

“but I am curious though, why are you out here in the cold?”

       “Nothing”. She said nervously.

” Why do I have this feeling that you are lying to me, tell me why you are out here”. he persuaded and she sighed.

“She orders the security man not to let me in the house”. She said fidgeting with her hands.

        ” Who?”.

       “My boss’s mother”.

” What? Why? Did you do anything to offend her?”.

        “No”.

” That’s unfair, leaving you out in the cold, Maybe I should go and ask her why she will do that”. he tries to leave, but Aurora stops him.

        “No sir, it’s fine”.

” Really? Or maybe I should call Alex right now and inform him how unfair his mother is treating you”. He frowned.

“No, please, I don’t want any more problems, please don’t tell him”. She said and Richard sighed sadly.

” Ok, come into the car, you can spend a night at my place”. he said.

“Don’t worry sir, I will be fine here”.

” And you expect me to believe that? If you don’t come in right now, I will call Alex right away and tell him everything”. he threatened.

“No, no, you don’t have to, I will go with you”. She rushed to the front seat of the car and sat down, Richard sighed and then entered his car and drove off.

    ******

The next morning, Richard was up early and he made breakfast, Aurora came out in one of the rooms and was dressed to leave, she came to the living room and noticed Richard in the kitchen cooking.

” You are awake?”. He said as he came out of the kitchen with a tray of breakfast and served it on the dinner table.

        “Yes sir, good morning”.

” Good Morning, hope you slept well?”. he asked cheerfully

“Yes I did, and thanks for your help”.

        ” You are always welcome”.

       “Thank you, sir”.

“Please call me Richard, I will prefer that”. he said and Aurora nodded.”Come have your breakfast, I made it for you”.

“Really sir….. I mean Richard, you don’t have to”.

” I have to, you are my guest, and not only that my best friend’s cook, so you need to be entertained”.

“Ok”. she moved to the dinner table and started eating.” Hmm, it tastes nice”.

“Thank you, it’s all yours, let me go in and freshen up, I will be right back”. He left to his room while she continued her breakfast.

Some minutes later, she was seated in the living room after she finished eating her breakfast and she took the plates to the kitchen and washed them before arranging them to their normal place. She kept staring amazingly around the house, it was well-furnished with an exclusive interior design.

“Sorry I kept you waiting”. He interrupted her climbing down the staircase and fixing his suit.

” No problem sir,” she said as she stood up.

“Ok, I will drop you off at the house”.

” No, you don’t have to, I will find my way back home, you have done enough for me already and I so much appreciate that”.

“I know, it still doesn’t matter, I can still drop you off”.

” No, I will be fine, I don’t want you to be late for work, I can find myself home”. she insisted.

        “Are you sure?”.

        ” Yes, I am”.

“Ok,” he deep hand in his suit pocket and brought out some money.”You can use this for your t-fare, please don’t say no”.

“Ok, thank you, sir….sorry, Richard”. She corrected herself as she took the money from him.” Thank you”.

“You are welcome, see you some other time”. He smiles and walks away while Aurora follows him behind.

She watched him enter his car and zoom off and then she came out of the building and walked along the street to the bus stop. An hour later, She arrived at Alexander’s mansion and knocked on the gate, the security man came out and was happy to see her.

     👨✈️” Good Morning Ms.Aurora”.

“Good Morning”. She replied.”can I come in now?”.

👨✈️” Sure”. He opened the gate and she hesitated to go in.

        “Are you sure?”.

👨✈️ ” Yes, you don’t have to worry about the boss’s mother, I haven’t seen her this morning I guess she has forgotten, so come on in”.

“Ok”. She said and was about to step in when Mrs. Stella interrupted them from behind and they went stunned.

“And where the hell do you think you are going?”. She asked furiously.

” Good Morning ma”. She greeted politely.

“Save those greetings to yourself, so, this is what you do whenever my son is not around, you go around sleeping in different men’s house and then has the guts to come back to pollute my son’s house”. She said and Aurora was surprised by her statements.

” No, Ma, that’s not true”.

“Will you shut that thing you call a mouth! Listen, you are not stepping your feet in this house until my son comes back from his trip, you this gold digger”. She kissed her teeth and stared hard at the security man” If you let her in, you will kiss your job goodbye, now lock the gate and go back to your room”. She said rudely.

👨✈️”Yes ma”.he locked the gate and rushed inside.

        “idiot”. she walks away.

Aurora sighed sadly and rested her body on the gate.

      ••ALEXANDER’S OFFICE••

After the meeting with his clients, he came back to his office with Richard and they sat down to discuss.

” you think is good to do business with them?”. Alexander asked.

“Yes, they are reliable and trusted”. Richard replied.

        ” Sure”. They smile.

“Oh, that reminds me, guess what happened in your house yesterday”. he said and Alexander stared confusedly at him.

        ” What? Is everything okay?”.

“Not at all, last night when you called me to get some files for you when I arrived I was surprised to see your cook outside the gate in the middle of the cold “.

” Aurora? Why?”. He asked curiously.

“Same question I asked her, but she didn’t want to tell me at first, but when I persuaded her, she told your mother to order the security man not to let into the house”. He said.

        ” What?”.

“Yes, I felt pain why would your mother do such a thing to an innocent girl, she begged me not to let you know about it, so, I had to bring her to my house so that she could spend the night there and this morning she left”.

” What is wrong with my mom? Why is she being cruel to her?”. he wondered and picked up his jacket and his phone.

        “Where are you going?”.

” Home! To talk some sense into that woman that calls herself my mother”.

“Just talk to her calmly”. Richard said, but Alexander rushed off as he entered his car and asked his driver to take him home.

       ••ALEXANDER MANSION••

Aurora was still seated outside the gate under the cold, because it was getting to the winter season, then the security man came out with a can of coke and some chips

👨✈️” I brought you some chips”. he gave it to her.

       “Thank you, you shouldn’t have”.

👨✈️” Is the little I can do, you have been out here for over two hours now, so, you need to eat something”.

“Thank you, I really appreciate this”.

👨✈️ ” You are welcome”. he smiled and leaned on the gate watching her open the chips.

Suddenly, they got interrupted by a car horn, they turned in the direction to see it was Alexander’s car. Aurora stood up quickly while the security man rushed inside to open the gate. Alexander came down from the car and Aurora rushed to welcome him with a smile.

        “Welcome sir”. She greeted cheerfully.

” What are you doing out here Aurora?”. he asked.

“Hmm, nothing sir”. she said nervously. Alexander stared at her for a while and ordered her to get into the car, she rushed in with him and the driver drove inside. They came down and went inside.

” Mother! Mother!”.he yelled calling out to his mother with anger. Mrs. Stella rushed down from her room with Nora beside her, she was happy to see her son back from his trip.

“Son, you are back”. She moved to hug him but he stopped her and they were surprised.” What is the problem, son?”.

“You are my problem mother, what has gotten into you, are you sure you are my mother? or did you get switched with somebody else?”. He asked. Aurora was behind him fidgeting nervously with her hand.

” What is going on son, why are you angry?”.

“I am angry because of your selfish act!”. he sighed and tried to control his anger.” You know what, I have had enough, I think is time to go back home, the doctor said you are fine now and your blood pressure is good now, you have overstayed your welcome enough”.

“Excuse me! Are you asking me out of your house?”.

” Yes Mother, I can’t tolerate your actions toward Aurora anymore, I was only gone for two days and you had the nerve to let her out of the house in the cold, how could you!”. He yelled.

“Alex, are you asking your mother out of your house because of this thing beside you”. Nora said and Alexander stared hard at her.

” Mind your words, Nora, don’t make me lose my wrath on you!”. he warned and turned to his mother.”You don’t have to worry mother, your driver will be here soon, so, I would advise you to get your things ready”.

“You dare chase your mother out of your house because of her?”. She said sadly.

” Yes, I can’t deal with your attitude anymore, I have tolerated you enough, you know what, let me ask you a question, what did she ever do to you that she deserves this treatment from you?”.

“I don’t want her here! She has possessed you, you are not the son I gave birth to”. she sobbed.

” And you are not the woman I called mother! You have changed, you can’t force me to do what I don’t want “.

“I am your mother! I am doing the best I can for you”.

” No you are not, instead you are hurting me, allow me to control my life, am a grown-up man now”.

“Mom, stop crying, let’s go and get our things”. Nora said.

” Sure, you are quite welcome to leave”. he replied rudely.

    ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★

The Millions Family are heartless folks. Even if some are better than the rest, their heartless side is never completely buried.

Shayla has spent her few weeks here learning that, but she never expected it to stretch to this level.

As she stood glued by the door of the basement, staring at the blind helpless girl in the corner of the room, her heart broke for her.

If she’s an Eternal like the rest of the family, she must have been trapped in this dusty, rusty, cold room for hundreds of years.

    The hell?

“But… there’s the FrostOrb. They could have used it to open your eyes. I heard the orb can do anything.” She spoke up softly, making sure to keep it in a low hush.

Pearl dropped the bottle of water she’s holding, then she opened the plate of food and took from the pie.

It’s pie and custard? That’s what they serve maids, servants and slaves here.

So they consider Pearl a servant?

Shayla couldn’t even talk, she just watched with pity as the pretty girl took a large bite from her pie.

With the way she’s smoothly taking the pie and the water from the tray, it’s hard to detect her blindness.

“Yeah…the legendary FrostOrb can do anything, but not my eyes. My blindness is a curse I inherited from my mother’s womb, so it’ll only leave when the curse lifts on it’s own.” She explained.

“I don’t understand.” Shayla’s face lined in a hard squeeze.

“I was supposed to be triplets with the twins, but they both came out before me. They escaped mother’s womb on the same day, and I stayed in the womb for one extra year before mother was able to birth me. That extra year I spent is my curse.” Pearl explained.

“I’m so sorry…” Shayla crouched, her pity for this female increasing.

“It’s nothing.” Pearl took another bite from her pie, smiling. “At least you came, and I got to feel warmth for the first time in years.”

“People often say I’m warm.” Shayla smiled a little.

“Of course you are…I guess you’re special. What’s your name?” Pearl asked, smiling too.

    “Shayla, a slave.” Shayla introduced.

“Oh… Who was my food deliver before? She has never entered.” Pearl asked, drinking water again.

“Xena. She’s my friend, the Old Chef’s daughter, and Lord Ryker’s sister.” Shayla cleared.

“Lord Ryker…How handsome is he?” Pearl asked, and Shayla blinked.

    She didn’t expect that one.

“I might have been trapped here all my life, but the cleaner maids pass by the top of this basement, and I hear their whisperings. He was forced to be a part of this family with his sister’s lifeline, but despite that…he’s the most feared demigod here, also the most goodlooking.” Pearl smiled, her admiration so obvious.

“Yes… right.” Shayla stood, sounding awkward.

“Have you seen him up close before? What’s the most beautiful part of his body?” Pearl asked another weird question.

Shayla frowned, snapping out of it and remembering she’s not even supposed to be inside this basement in the first place.

Xena specifically told her not to enter. What was she thinking?

“I need to go now.” She stepped back, her shoes marching the broken concretes on the floor.

“You came here and gave me warmth, but now that I ask a simple question, you’re running away? You really don’t know what your answer would do for me…” Pearl maintained the smile.

‘Isn’t she smiling too much?’ Shayla thought. It’s odd for someone who has been suffering since birth.

But then, that soft side of her refused to heed to that suspicion, so she said what’s on her mind.

    “His hands… Fingers.”

    “Hands?” Pearl repeated.

“Lord Ryker’s fingers are the most beautiful part of his body. His hands as a whole, they’re attractively perfect, and his skin…” Shayla rushed, opening the door to get out…

“An advise for you, Shayla.” Pearl said suddenly, and Shayla turned.

    Pearl is still smiling.

“Never trust any member of the Millions Family. Never.” She said.

Shayla didn’t miss the foreboding undertone of that statement.

“Shay!” Xena’s voice rang from the basement top, and with thrumming chest, she left the room and slammed the door shut.

A minute after she was gone, Pearl dropped the bottled water back in the tray, her hand folding for a moment before she slid it behind her head to untangle the rope of her eye cover.

She took the cover away from her eyes, and an obsessive smile appeared on her lips.

Shayla might have closed the door when she was leaving, but right now, the door is open again.

“What took you so long? I was getting worried!” Xena held Shayla when she climbed up the staircase.

“The place looked stuffy and strange, so I was awed.” Shayla lied.

She regretted it, but what would Xena think if she tells her she actually entered the room?

“Tell me, you didn’t enter the room, right?” Xena asked, and Shayla gave her lip a bite on the inside.

“Why did I even ask that?” Xena grinned suddenly. “Of course you can’t enter. That door has been sealed by Azura for years, and no one can remove the seal except her. I dunno who’s inside, but it’s a big secret they’re keeping with their lives.”

“You don’t know who’s inside?” Shayla gulped.

They’re already walking down the side stairs which leads outside.

“How would i know when I’ve never entered the room? But I know someone is inside.” Xena shrugged.

And that only heightened Shayla’s fear. Does that mean she opened the door? How?

If Azura sealed it for years, then how was she able to open it?

She was still on the wheel of thoughts when she was hauled to a solid pillar by strong, unyielding hands.

A gasp tore out of her throat, and that was enough to snap her out of her thoughts as her eyes clashed with Cheyenne’s.

    “Cheyenne?” She muttered.

“Don’t call my name with your unworthy mouth, you sl+t!” Cheyenne spat, raising her hand.

Her eyes are glaring evidences that she has not even the slightest likeness for Shayla. The hate is bloody.

“Cheyenne!” Xena shouted behind, but it’s like a dog’s bark to her. She wouldn’t care.

She brought her hand down to Shayla’s face, and Shayla closed her eyes quickly, expecting the nails.

    But they never came.

Cheyenne’s nails stopped a little before it’d get to her face, and her eyes are slightly wide.

She has touched Shayla once when she tore her with the nails at Granny’s corridor, but maybe her anger back then didn’t make her feel what she’s feeling right now—her warmness.

She could feel it as she held her arm, and that made her stop.

    Slowly, she let go.

Xena quickly pulled Shayla to herself.

“If you had dared to hurt her again, I’d have begged my brother to bash you to the dust even if it means kneeling in front of his tower for months. He might be a Millions by force, but he’s a Morozov by birth, and you’re nothing but his knight who has no last name.” She said angrily.

Cheyenne stayed still, her awed eyes still on Shayla.

“You can hurt me all you want, but stop calling me a sl+t at any chance you get. I’m not lusting after Lord Ryker, I wouldn’t dare. I’m just a lowly slave who was given a chance.” Shayla said, then she left with Xena.

Cheyenne stood there, confused and shocked as her eyes drooped.

“She’s definitely not the partner. If it’s her, Lord Ryker would have told I and Sage, so who’s she? Why this rare warmness?” She muttered.

Answers didn’t appear, so she sighed, calming down.

    [Clouds Castle]

It’s a golden building which sat somewhere in the deepest clouds of Luminaria, and there’s no rival to it’s beauty. It stood there alone, and it shone alone, day and night.

The gold is rimmed with white at some few points, but not enough to dim the golden rays which reached the roof and floors and even the olive branches surrounding it.

There are fog fountains around, and they’re pouring pureness into the heavenly harem

Eternus is a seer, the oldest and wisest in Luminaria. He sees into the future and peers into the past with one quick glance.

He’s got long white hair and calm, pure presence. Always in a flowing white robe and a peaceful smile.

He stays alone in the castle, and that’s why he came to open the entrance door by himself when Ryker arrived with Sage.

“Look who finally paid a visit after about 100 years.” He said, his smile not breaking. His white hair fell in two long gentle curls on his shoulders.

“105 years.” Ryker corrected, stepping inside the castle. His black robe is a contract to Eternus’ white one.

The door seemed to embrace him as it closed behind him and Sage.

“Saying the wrong number was on purpose. I know you have an obsession with exact numbers. You didn’t change.” Eternus replied, walking beside him.

Sage is behind, looking around the unending richness.

Eternus isn’t on Ryker’s level of rich, but he likes showcasing his riches just like Ryker, so his harem is vainglorious.

“If Ryker isn’t Ryker anymore, then who’d blow Luminaria out of existence when it’s time?” Ryker replied, giving him a glance.

“Of course, that’s what you’d say.” Eternus tilted his head.

They entered a room where a small plum garden is, and they sat in the center of the trees, on thick glass chairs with the desk between them.

Sage left them to go arrange a room for their night rest.

“Why the sudden visit? You didn’t give me a heads-up this time.” Eternus asked.

“There’s a female,” Ryker started. Eternus leaned in, eyes wide.

    “Your partner finally?”

“She has the warmness, but not the mark.” Ryker explained.

Eternus pulled back on the table. “Not the mark? Then she’s not. Maybe she was just gifted with the warmness.”

“I ate her meal, I held her, I can hear her voice even when I don’t want to. I have never saved anyone…my nature only kills but I saved her from the banshee!” Ryker’s voice went up.

“Oh…” Eternus leaned in again. “I heard of how you killed generations too, cos they bullied her?”

“Cos I needed to attain the second stage. Don’t twist this.” Ryker rolled eyes shortly.

    Eternus sighed.

“Her mother Liza is still alive. She wasn’t killed like other rule-breakers cos the human who impregnated her did it with force.”

“You made your findings? Good.” Ryker pressed his back softly to the backrest.

“She’s not your partner…” Eternus repeated, getting serious.

“And it’s not like anyone hid her mark from me on purpose?” Ryker raised his lashes.

“Liza’s powers were stripped from her the moment she got raped by a human, so there’s no way she hid the mark. Even if she did, do you really think there’s anyone in this world who can hide anything from you?” Eternus gave him a respectful look.

“Zeke is hiding Xena’s lifeline from me, and it’s still hidden in the shadows till now. You might wanna write that down.” Ryker deadpanned.

“You can fool everyone else with your plans, Ryker, but not me. You really want me to believe you don’t know where Zeke hid her lifeline? You?” Eternus laughed shortly.

“You got more annoying.” Ryker muttered with another eye roll.

“Can we not ruin the night with your partner talks? You’re spending more than one day here, so there’s still time to talk. You said you ate her meal, why not eat mine too?” Eternus waved his hand.

The plum trees in the room vanished, getting replaced by several additional tables of lavish extravagant dishes.

Colourful chandeliers hung from the ceiling, and beautiful decorative flowers bloomed on the walls, completing the dinning mood.

“I’m not eating your food.” Ryker stood from the glass chair.

“Sit back.” Eternus said from his seat.

Ryker went for the door, but the glass slammed close before he could touch it, so he turned back to face the sneaky old man.

Eternus is already holding his sword, ready for a duel.

“You should have asked for it nicely. Don’t blame me if I strip you out of your skin.” Ryker muttered with deep resonance, summoning dry ice on his right palm.

The rare black jewels on his robe were moving with his steps.

    “I missed this” Eternus smiled.

They went for each other at the same sharp time, and their big duel started.

In one short minute, the room is in fatal irreparable ruins.

Shattered chandeliers, tables, mashed dishes, smashed chairs, broken grounds and walls. Falling ceilings.

Sage opened the door slightly, peeping inside to see the chaos ongoing.

“I guess they’re going to do this till tomorrow morning.” He smiled.

His Channeler Shell brightened in his pocket, and he pulled it out quickly.

    “Cheyenne?” He spoke into it.

“She’s warm, the slave.” Cheyenne said straight to the point.

    Sage paused.

    “Warm?”

“I think she’s a fill-in till the real partner would be found, fair enough. That warmness saved her, I was gonna tear her face earlier.” Cheyenne continued.

“Try to be nice sometimes, Cheyenne.” Sage sighed as he walked away from that door.

    [Loco Conference Rendezvous]

The ambassadorial conference didn’t take as long as Granny Jojo predicted.

At 10am, they were already done.

She wasn’t able to leave early as the other ambassadors were overfilling her with greetings like they do each time they attend the conference like this. They accord her great respect as the East Palace Granny which she hates, but she can’t avoid it.

Now there are just two people left in the room with her, and as they came forward to give their greetings, she raised her brows at them.

    Kasia and Astor.

“You West Palace folks just don’t know when to stop.” She said.

“We’re not here to tackle you, Grandmother. We’re here to seek cooperation.” Kasia assured.

“On what?” Jojo scoffed, grabbing her bag already.

“You know exactly what, Granny.” Astor said.

Jojo’s eyes slipped to him for a second.

“I know you’re not happy with the power abuse of Azura and Zeke, I know you’re not fine with the unstoppable attitude of the twins. We just need you and Lord Ryker on our side, and on the night of the Feast, we’ll do the needful. We only have to get the FrostOrb.” Kasia explained.

“Nice explanation,” Jojo stood. “I assume you spent days practicing that line before coming here, but sorry… You’re not worthy of my cooperation, talk more of Ryker’s.”

She was glaring as she pushed Kasia’s chair out of her way, and she nearly walked past her when Kasia stood suddenly.

She pulled Jojo back, holding eyes with her without blinking.

“You’ll connive with us in the West Palace, you will convince Ryker to join us too, and you both will help us steal the FrostOrb on the night if the Feast.” She compelled.

Everything went still for a second, but then like an unexpected wind, Jojo’s palm smacked Kasia’s face.

The slap was brutal, and it sent Kasia to the ground at Jojo’s feet.

She tried standing, but she can’t. Jojo held her there magically.

Astor attacked Jojo with a strike, trying to save his wife, but his strike was only able to shake Jojo subtly before she pulled a relic mirror out of her bag, throwing it at him.

His ear got a big cut, and the poisonous mirror reflection made his eyes black. He fell on the ground too.

The mirror came back to Jojo, she caught it smoothly.

“Granny! Granny stop!!” Kasia yelled fearfully on her knees.

“How dare you try to compel me! Is this pride? If you have this much pride, you should have fought Azura and Zeke when they were trying to kill your son Blaise!” Jojo yelled.

“We’re no match for those two, we know that very well!” Kasia defended.

“But you think you’re a match for me?” Jojo laughed. “I might not be sucking powers from the FrostOrb, but I’m not weak. You can’t even face me, but you’re dreaming of going against the whole of the East Palace? You both are fools!”

“Before you think of going against The Millions, first find out why you lose your powers at midnight. Solve that mystery before planing, cos if you make any move without preparations, then even Jude is enough to tear you both and your kids apart with your mediocre powers that can’t lift a stone.” Jojo continued, then she left the room.

Kasia was finally able to stand up. She rushed over to Astor and helped him up. His black eyes are back to normal, but his ear is bleeding very much. The cut part is on the ground.

“Her mirror technique got crazier.” He muttered.

“She was right, we made a senseless move. Now I lost her trust.” Kasia said regretfully.

“I told you. Didn’t I?” Astor sighed, holding his bleeding ear.

    [Black Swan Ballet School]

    It’s a full house.

Shayla and Xena didn’t expect the crowd, they kept multiplying.

It’s like everyone in Luminaria came for this audition, so it’s definitely gonna be a tough one.

Luckily, Shayla and Xena are among the ones who came early, so they’re number 20&21 respectively.

They’re sitting outside with the others, and they’re the only ones wearing black nose masks to conceal their identities.

Also, they’re doing all they can to keep their heads low since the evil twins are inside the building.

If Sadie gets them, she’s going to kill the both flatly.

They’re both holding hands, avoiding talks too so their voices won’t leak.

Luckily, there are people from poor families among the others, so they’re not the only ones wearing cheap poor clothes, and that got them covered.

“20 and 21!” The call-in teacher yelled from the door.

They both raised their number tags, and they were called in.

Getting to the dressing room, fear gripped Shayla again.

The ballet outfit is a no for her.

The leggings and tutu is enough to cover her feet completely, but the leotard is tight and short on the arms, so she won’t be able to wear that.

If she does, it’d expose the wounds on her back and arms, and that’d give her away.

She just wore only the provided ballet shoes, then she entered the main audition hall with Xena.

Inside the hall, Esme sat proudly with ten other teachers who’re the Judges. She’s in their middle with her usually flashy extravagant clothes and yellow over-painted nails.

The moment she saw Shayla, her countenance froze.

“Do you think this is a joke site? You’re wearing a mask, and the only ballet stuff on your body is the shoes!” She snapped angrily, then she faced Xena too.

“And you, thankfully you’re wearing the complete ballet wears, but why the mask?” She questioned.

“I have wounds on my body, and it might stain the white leotard if I put it on.” Shayla spoke.

“And about the masks, we have our personal reasons. But we promise we won’t disappoint you.” Xena added.

“You both!!” Esme slammed her palms on the desk.

She was about to stand when one of the teachers spoke.

“Director, why not give them a chance? If they soil it, then we’ll hand them over to the punishment camp. They’ll clean sewages for a year, and they’ll starve like street dogs.”

“Fair enough…” Esme sat back, smiling interestedly. “Play Cruel Symphony Classical. Let them dance to it for me.”

“Cruel Symphony? Mercury your daughter and the twins who’re the baddest dancer here haven’t even mastered that.” A judge said.

“Do what I asked.” Esme insisted.

The song was slid into the background speakers, and the moment the tunes started flooding into the room, the girls started their moves, rawly.

Fortunately, it’s the same dance they saw the twins practicing at Starr balcony, and Shayla fell into the strings, becoming one with the song.

Xena isn’t as perfect, but she followed Shayla’s fast lead, and she didn’t lag. She matched her pace.

Their arms flew in symphony, legs stretched in sync.

Their laps spread equally. They went back to back at the same time, slid on pointe multiple times then raised their weights to land on different spots before coming together again, then they went down, rolling back to each other and smiling.

By the time they stood, the entire judge are on their feet plus Esme herself, and they all have wide mouths and popped eyes.

Esme has mad shock in her eyes.

Xena caged Shayla from behind, and Shayla’s slim body went slanted, then they went apart again…

“This is….” Esme gasped, dropping her pen.

She was clapping before she knew it.

“Awesome!!” The teachers joined her clappings.

    “I’ve never seen this before!”

    “Who are they?”

    “Mama Mia!”

    “Whoa!!”

By the time the girls made the last move and went on pointe again, the clappings were thundering around the room so hard.

“Can you both at least show your faces?” Esme went closer to them.

“Not yet, ma’am.” Shayla said under her mask, sweating a lot.

“Fine…fine. Next week is the final audition like you both know, and you both have to come.” Esme took tag 1 and 2, giving it to them.

“You both have to definitely show up, please.”

“Sure, we won’t disappoint.” Xena smiled under her mask, leaving the room with Shayla.

The moment they got back to the dressing room, they hugged tight.

“We’re so lucky! I love you so much Shay!” Xena gushed.

“I love you too” Shayla smiled.

    [Gymnasium]

Since the teachers are busy with auditions right now, dancers are here, just chilling out.

Each to their own side of the place.

Sadie and Mercury are sitting at a side, their legs are mounted arrogantly, and their soy milk bottles are held to their lips.

They’re drinking with straws, and they’re glaring at two people in particular…

    Kade and Blaise.

Soren is currently at the washroom, so he’s not glaring with them.

“After their deaths, let’s go break-in tonight. It’s been long, and I have a mansion in mind.” Mercury said.

“Sure, but I’m going to ask you one question.” Sadie faced her.

“I’ll never lie to you.” Mercury shrugged.

“Are you in love with my brother?” Sadie asked flatly.

For the next minute, Mercury was blank, then she laughed, unable to keep her awkwardness low.

“In love with Soren? That’d be betrayal and I’ll never do that to you. I know what’s going to happen if one of you should fall in love, so that’s never happening.”

“You won’t mind if I tell Soren to rape Xena and touch her right in front of you?” Sadie asked craftily, taking her milk straw away from her dark lips.

“Why would I care? In fact, it’d be sweet to watch.” Mercury replied, wiping her sweaty hand secretly on her leggings.

“Great, then give me the ashes I told you to bring.” Sadie stood.

“Right!” Mercury brought her dead father’s ashes pack out of her bag. She was about to hand it over to Sadie when Faye came in.

She’s holding her phone, smiling as she read out a news from lumi web.

“The Millions Family have to be the craziest family existing. Locking in their last daughter cos she was born blind? Precarious!” She laughed.

Sadie and Mercury gasped, shooting up from their seats at the same time.

Soren came in, staring at his phone too. He has seen the news.

Sadie snatched the phone, and when she saw it, she gasped.

Kade, Blaise and the other dancers drew closer, converging around the twins who look obviously shaken.

“Oh…so there’s a fourth child to the Millions family? And she’s blind? I get the shame, her lock up is normal.” Blaise chuckled.

“It’s the news of the damn century. The oh-so-mighty Millions Family from the East Palace have a blind chic as the baby of the house. She’s completely powerless? What a jinx!” Kade grinned.

“I bet she’s ugly too.” Faye added, popping her gum, and that made many dancers laugh.

Kade pushed everyone out of his way till he got to the middle to face the twins who’re still dumbfounded.

“Your insane family isn’t only power-drunk, but y’all are also lying crooks? That’s unacceptable.” He slammed his rigid chest into Soren’s.

    [Millions Family Exclusive Store]

The first thing Lilith came to check out is new clothes since she’s a new member of the family now, and she’d be becoming Ryker’s secret wife too.

She was humming excitedly as she shopped alone with enough assistants behind her who’re pushing the carts of her plenty picked items.

Her makeup could paint two gigantic mansions right now.

“I feel so empty, I guess I’m eating next.” She nodded with a pout, facing an assistant.

“Call the upper floor, I need carbonara in like twenty minutes.” She ordered.

“Yes ma’am.” The assistant bowed, leaving to do what Lilith asked.

“Lilith the dwarf?” Jude entered the store, looking utterly shocked at what he’s seeing.

This place is exclusive, so how?

“Hey, upcoming big brother! I should have known we’d be becoming family the moment I got your jacket.” Lilith waved.

Unexpectedly, Lilith gripped her neck, throwing her over to the other side with planned harshness.

“Why the hell are you in the family store you short irritating witch!” He demanded furiously.

“You damn thing!” Lilith stood, opening her mouth to scream, but Winona’s entrance stopped her.

“Jude!! ” She entered with a laugh, flashing her phone screen at his face.

“You haven’t heard about the ongoing chaos? Luminaria is burning with the news of BBOTEP.” She laughed again, enjoying the jest.

    “BBOTEP?” Jude blinked.

“Blind Baby Of The East Palace! Your last sibling Pearl Millions is out in the open! Y’all are psychos in that family and I get the chills just thinking about it! F+ck!” Winona laughed louder, flipping her sleek healthy hair.

    “What!” Jude gasped.

    [East Palace, 6PM]

Azura and Zeke look so out of it as they ran their restless races into the main castle, their breaths chasing each other till they were inside.

They heard clattering sounds from the dinning, and they followed, meeting Pearl there.

She sat majestically, eating like a royal that she is. She’s wearing one of Sadie’s black dresses, and though the eye cover is away from her eyes, her blindness is obvious with the way her hands missed the plate few times.

“Mother? Father? I can smell your presence.” She said, pushing a small cut tiramisu into her mouth with her plastic fork.

One dangerous hit from Zeke made the dinning table break down, sending glass splinters everywhere.

“How where you able to come out? How!!!” He roared.

“That’s not a good way to welcome the baby of the house.” Pearl smiled innocently, sitting still.

Azura dragged her up with her dress, and Pearl grunted.

“How were you able to get out? It’s a question!”

The twins barged in at this point, followed by Jude and Granny Jojo.

“It’s true.” Soren muttered, his shock settling in better.

“She’s even wearing my goth dress? That blind sorrow is wearing my dress!!” Sadie shouted.

“How are you out?” Jude spoke, bewildered.

“Pearl…” Granny Jojo muttered, her eyes wide too.

“A slave named Shayla saved me from the basement. She came and opened the door for me, and she gave me directions to come out. She did it, said she was doing me a favor which I didn’t reject.” Pearl said.

    “Shayla?” Azura and Zeke chorused.

“Shayla?” Jude and Granny Jojo chorused too.

    “That damn animal!” Sadie growled.

    Soren’s fists clenched.

Meanwhile, Old Chef is listening by the opposite wall.

He covered his mouth to block his gasp as he rushed off.

    [Granny’s Chamber]

Shayla leaned gently on the window of her room, rubbing her fingers on the wind chime and humming the Cruel Symphony song she danced to earlier at the audition.

She didn’t meet Jojo at home when she arrived earlier, so she’s alone here, accompanied by nothing but the scent coming from Ryker’s embroidered handkerchief.

With a slim slice of smile on her face, she brought out the handkerchief from her gown pocket, pushing it to her nose to sniff.

“Wonder where he travelled to.” She whispered, sniffing again.

“Shay! Shayla!! Shay!!” Xena’s trembling voice rang from outside.

“Xena?” Shayla left the window, and Xena came in tearfully.

    She’s with Old Chef.

“Shay, don’t lie to me. Did you really open the basement door like Pearl said? She just confessed that you did! Please say you didn’t! They’re going to kill you!!” She cried shakily.

    Shayla’s eyes widened too much.

    “Pearl? Is…out?”

    “Talk to me!” Xena snapped.

“The door opened when my body touched it, and I went in. We talked for a moment and I left after shutting the door back.” Shayla confessed fearfully.

“This won’t work, they’ll be here to take you any moment from now.” Old Chef said with urgency.

Another person came in, making them turn. It’s Cheyenne.

“Get here” she strictly ordered, but Shayla didn’t understand, so she didn’t move.

With powerful force, Cheyenne pulled her, and Shayla found herself in front of the wicked lady.

Cheyenne took her hand surprisingly, and she started taking her out of the room, but the royal guards were already at the door.

    At once, they all attacked.

Cheyenne pushed Shayla behind herself, brandishing her nails at them. She tore two at a time, their flayed skins gumming to her bloody nails before they fell off to the ground.

Red stained the walls, and Shayla’s heart thundered faster than it has ever done all her life.

The cries of the two torn guards wasn’t enough to scare off the rest. They charged forward.

Cheyenne pulled off her hat and flung it forward, cutting off one head with it.

Blood sprayed the ceiling, then her legs left the ground. She leapt up fluidly and kicked the door metal away from the hinges.

The metal slammed into the faces of two others, and she landed back on her feet, her hair covering her eyes.

She took Shayla’s hand again, attempting to escape, but this time, Azura and Zeke entered.

Cheyenne was pushed back with the brute force of their boiling anger, and her body easily rolled out of the room through the window.

“I didn’t release her, I didn’t even know how the door opened!” Shayla shook her head, shifting back.

Her organs shivered inside her as if detached from her hot insides.

“Keep quiet, slave.” Zeke muttered, his rage affecting her from his voice.

    Shayla staggered.

Azura immediately raised her hand up, waving it from from the dark skies to the ground.

A single thunder cracked in obeisance to her powers.

The thunder slipped into the house through the open window and hit Shayla’s legs cruelly.

Every bone her legs crushed within that fleeting second, and her screams were louder than a banshee’s as she went down, falling on her face flatly.

The twins came in with a black coffin which they dropped beside her, the weight so impactful on the ground.

Together, they threw Shayla’s slumped body inside the coffin.

“The thunder arena is ready, the pinnacle is cold, waiting for her blood.” Sadie said mercilessly.

“Great news, let’s get it started.” Azura’s voice echoed darkly.

The coffin was carried out, Shayla’s blood dripping out of it like water.

    TBC.

Elora was rushed to Alex’s room by one of the guards. The doctor was called immediately, and he asked everyone to excuse him so he could check on the patient alone. They did as instructed, reluctantly leaving the room.
“Are you happy now?” Queen Lala yelled, her anger boiling over.
“Mom, what happened wasn’t my fault,” Alex replied, trying to defend himself.
“Whose fault is it, then? Why are you on the edge of making me a laughing stock in this kingdom?” She yelled, her voice echoing through the hallway.
Alex sighed tiredly and walked away, ignoring his mother’s continued calls.
“I am sorry it turn out this way,” King Luke said, turning to Elora’s parents.
“It’s okay. We can’t force our kids to do what they don’t want,” Elora’s father replied, his voice understanding.
“Are you two aware of this decision he made?” Elora’s mother asked. The two men exchanged a glance.
The doctor emerged from the room,
     “How is she?”.Diva asked curiously,
“Well, she’s going to be fine. She’s awake now,” he said, and they all breathed a sigh of relief.
Meanwhile, Alex had driven out of the palace, his destination Naomi’s place. As he drove, his cell phone rang, and he connected it through Bluetooth.
“Hey bro, how’s it going?” Nathan asked from the other end of the phone.
“Not quite good. Right now, I’m out of the palace,” Alex replied.
“Where are you going?” Nathan asked,  Alex sighed.
“Naomi’s place. I just need to clear my head.”
“Okay, take care. I’ll talk to you later,” he said, and they hung up.
Alex increased the speed of his car, and soon he arrived at Naomi’s house. He rushed out and gently tapped on the door. After a brief wait, the door opened, revealing Naomi’s surprised face. Before she could react, Alex pulled her into a warm hug.
“I missed you,” he said, holding her tightly. Naomi was taken aback by his sudden visit, but she wrapped her arms around him, returning the hug.
After a while, they pulled away from each other, and Alex caressed her face, resting his forehead on hers. He let out a soft sigh, feeling some of his tension melt away.
As the minutes passed, Alex lay down on Naomi’s lap, his eyes drifting closed as he fell into a calm sleep. Naomi gently stroked his hair, watching over him.
Just then, Mia emerged from another room, taking in the scene before her.
“Oh, Alex is here?” she asked softly, moving closer.
“He came a while ago and hasn’t said much,” Naomi replied. “He just wanted to take a nap.”
“I don’t think it went well,”
“Yeah,” she agreed, and they both sighed. As they watched Alex, a gentle smile spread across his face in his sleep.
“I guess he’s having a nice dream,” she said, smiling. She stood up to leave. “Let me leave you two alone.”
With a gentle nod, Mia walked away, leaving Naomi to continue stroking Alex’s hair.

Back at the palace, Diva and the rest were trying to console Elora, who was overcome with tears.
“What did I do wrong? Why did he want to end our relationship when our wedding is almost close?” Elora sobbed, her body shaking with each cry.
“He’ll come around, I’m sure he doesn’t mean what he said,” Diva said, trying to reassure her.
“Just stop crying, I’ll make sure he comes back to his senses,” Queen Lala said.
“I don’t want to lose him,”
“You won’t, just stop crying,” her mother said, trying to comfort her.
“I know my son is not in his right senses,” Queen Lala said.
Meanwhile, in the throne room, King Luke and Elora’s father were having a conversation.
“I’m sorry things didn’t go as planned. All I want is my son’s happiness. He’s confided in me, and as a father, it’s my duty to support his decision,” King Luke said.
“I understand, Your Highness. My daughter is still young and healthy. Another man will come for her. She’ll get through this somehow,” Elora’s father replied, his words filled with wisdom.
    “Thank you for understanding,”
“You’re welcome,” he replied, and they shared a smile before moving on to another topic.
       *Mr Daniels house*
Alex was still fast asleep in Naomi’s lap, his peaceful slumber a testament to the fact that he hadn’t had a restful sleep in a long time. Naomi continued to stroke his hair gently, her fingers tracing the contours of his face. She noticed his phone had been vibrating nonstop, with each of everyone’s name flashing on the screen. First, it was his mother, then Elora, and now Diva. She sighed, seeing the caller’s ID.
Soon, Alex opened his eyes, waking up to meet Naomi’s gaze. He smiled.
“You’re finally awake. Did you sleep well?” He nodded, still smiling.
“I haven’t had a peaceful sleep like this in a long while,” he said, still lying on her lap.
    “Why? Having trouble sleeping?”
“No, maybe because my heart was troubled. But right now, it’s as if I’ve dropped off a heavy load off my shoulders,” He replied, his eyes locked on hers.
“I’m glad you slept well,” she said, and they shared a smile. Alex sat upright on the couch, drawing closer to her. As their faces were inches apart, he cupped her face, and she gulped hard. They leaned in for a kiss when the ringing of the phone interrupted them. He ignored the call.
“Your phone has been ringing nonstop,”
“I don’t want to answer it,” he replied, his face still close to hers.
“It could be your father this time. First, it was your mother, Elora, and then Diva called as well,” he said, her words bringing Alex back to reality. He sighed and pulled away from her, his look changing.
Alex took the phone from the table and saw it was his father calling. He picked it up without hesitation.
“Hello, Dad,” he said, his voice calm.
“Hey, son, how are you?” King Luke asked from the other end of the phone.
    “I’m fine, Dad,”
“That’s a relief. Your mom said you weren’t answering her call, same with your sister,”
“I just wanted to ignore their nagging and get some good rest,”
“Where are you right now? Are you with her or Nathan?”
Alex turned to Naomi, smiling, and she wondered why he was smiling.
“You can take a guess,” Alex said, his eyes locked on Naomi’s.
“Oh, I get it. Try and invite her to the palace soon,”
“I will, Dad. Thank you for your understanding,”
“You’re my son, your source of happiness is my number one priority,”
    “Thank you,”
“Alright, talk to you later. Tell her I say hi, and say hello to her father for me,”
“I will, bye,” he said , and they hung up.
    “Is everything okay at home?”
“Yes, everything is fine. My dad sent his regards,” He said, his smile still plastered on his face.
“Huh? He knows you’re here?” she asked, looking a bit scared, and Alex nodded, still smiling.
“There’s no need to be scared. Dad actually knows my feelings for you, and he’s in support. Besides, he’s inviting you to the palace soon,” he said, and her eyes opened wider in surprise.
He leaned closer to the position they were before, cupped her face, and placed a soft kiss on her cheek. His touch sent shivers down her spine as he caressed her face, and she felt her body melt into his hands. As he continued to kiss her face and neck, Naomi’s breath caught in her throat.
“Alex…” she called out, biting her lip.
“Do you want to go out on a date with me this weekend?” he asked between kisses, his voice husky and low. Naomi was speechless,
He stopped and looked into her eyes, his gaze piercing. “Will you?”
“Can you give me a moment to think about it?”
“Can I get my answer tomorrow?” he asked, his eyes locked on hers.
“No, but before the weekend,” she replied.
“Okay, I’ll wait,” he said, and pulled her into a warm hug. They smiled at each other.
Some hours later, after spending enough time together, they bid each other goodbye. Alex got into his car and zoomed off, his destination known only to him.

    (•Tainting Her Innocence•)

    GENRE: College romance

                  ✮{…ACCEPTANCE…}✮
“I love you” she whispered between sobs. “And you’re never alone. Not anymore”
Xavier stood frozen for a moment, her words sinking into him like raindrops through cracked soil.
“I love you… and you’re never alone” she repeated.
No one had ever said that to him. Not like this. Not with that kind of raw emotion, not with tears soaking into his hoodie, not with arms that held on like he was something worth holding onto.
    He dropped his keys.
Slowly, carefully, he wrapped his arms around her like she was something fragile, something he didn’t know he deserved but was scared to break.
“Hailey, you shouldn’t be here” Came his hoarse voice.
She pulled back slightly, just enough to look up at him. Her eyes were glassy, red, but fierce.
“I need to be here. With you”
Xavier scoffed, pulling away from her touch as if her warmth was too much to handle. He turned his back to her, digging into the pocket of his black jeans. A moment later, he pulled out a crumpled pack of cigars and a silver lighter.
    Click. Click.
The flame danced for a heartbeat before he lit the cigar and placed it between his lips.
But before he could take the first drag, Hailey marched over, snatched it from his lips, and tossed it to the floor, stomping it out like it personally offended her.
    “Stop killing yourself!” she snapped.
Xavier looked at her, startled. Not by what she did. but how she did it. The girl who once flinched at his tattoos now stared him down like she saw through every wall he’d ever built.
He let out a dry laugh, bitter and cracked.
“I’m not even trying to” he said coolly, eyes dull as ash. “It’s just a fact I know”
“No, you don’t get to talk like that. Like your life doesn’t matter”
He shook his head, smirking like it was all a joke.
“It doesn’t. Not really. Not to anyone”
“It matters to me. You matter to me”
Xavier stared at her, his expression softening.
Hailey’s chest rose and fell as she stood in front of him, her fists clenched by her sides.
“Do you… love me?” Her gaze searched his. “Like I love you?”
    Xavier blinked. Once. Twice.
    His jaw tightened.
That question, simple as it was, hit him harder than any punch he’d ever taken.
He looked away, like the truth burned too hot to hold her gaze.
“Hailey…” he began, but the words caught in his throat.
Her voice cracked. “I need to know. Please. Even if it’s not what I want to hear. Just… tell me the truth”
Xavier stared at her, really stared and for a second, he wasn’t here. He was back in that stupid restroom, the first day they met.
She’d stumbled in, wide-eyed and flustered, looking like she had no idea what she was doing in the boys’ restroom. Her innocence practically screamed at him, and he remembered how intrigued he was. Amused. He wanted to see how far she could bend before she broke. That was all she ever was supposed to be—a game, a distraction.
    A challenge.
He only wanted to taint her. Twist that sweet, naive energy until she became something darker, something ruined. His ruin.
And now… she was standing here. In front of him. Eyes brimming with love and tears, whispering that he wasn’t alone.
He had won. She had fallen. He had taken her mind, heart, and even her virginity. He had done what he set out to do.
So why the hell did his chest feel like it was splitting in two?
Why did it feel like every time a guy looked at her, touched her, he wanted to kill something? Why did her tears wreck him more than anything else ever had? Yes it does wreck him, he just doesn’t show it.
She was never meant to get under his skin.
Yet now, her voice was echoing in his head—
“Do you love me? Like I love you?”
    He clenched his fists.
“You weren’t supposed to mean anything to me” he said, his gaze hard but his eyes betraying the war inside. “I was supposed to ruin you and walk away”
    He paused, then added hoarsely,
“But now… I can’t even breathe when I’m not around you”
She didn’t answer his confession with words.
Instead, she jumped on him with arms wrapping tight around his neck, legs instinctively curling around his waist. Her lips crashed on his, stealing whatever words were about to leave his mouth.
And just like that, he stopped talking.
His hands gripped her thighs, holding her up effortlessly as he walked them toward the bed.
When they reached the edge of the bed, he lowered her gently, letting her sink into the mattress like she belonged there, beneath him with him.
Then  he reached for the cigar and lighter again.
He leaned in over her… smoke trailing lazily from his lips, dancing between them.
    They were in that position.
“Your innocence was my temptation” he whispered, letting the smoke curl above her lips. “But now… you’re my addiction”
She swallowed hard, heart pounding beneath her ribs.
“And you…” she murmured, fingers clutching his shirt, “you’re my ruin”
He exhaled the smoke between them, letting it spiral and swirl above her face. She didn’t flinch or say anything. Instead, she reached up, fingers curling into his shirt and pulling him down until their foreheads touched.
“I asked you something. Do you love me… the way I love you?”
    Xavier stilled.
Every nerve in his body tensed.
His eyes darkened as he crushed the half-burnt cigar in the ashtray by the bed.
Then he hovered over her again, his lips barely brushing hers.
    “I shouldn’t, but I do. Damn it, Princess… I do”
    That was all she needed.
She pulled him into her, mouth seeking his, hungry and desperate. Tongues tangling, teeth grazing. His hands ran up her sides, under her shirt, feeling her warmth, her need.
Clothes came off piece by piece, thrown somewhere into the room. His lips explored every inch of her, worshipping her skin like he hadn’t already marked it with sin.
She arched into him, gasping when he trailed hot kisses down her neck, her collarbone, lower…
“Xavier…” she breathed, nails digging into his back.
He groaned against her skin. “Say it again”
    “I love you”
He entered her in one slow, deep motion… familiar and new all at once.
And when she came undone beneath him, whispering his name like a vow, he followed breaking apart in the safety of her arms.
    •••
    AT CORY KING HIGH SCHOOL*
Lucy sat at her desk, her notebook open but untouched. The words on the whiteboard blurred before her eyes. She wasn’t paying attention, she couldn’t. Her eyes kept drifting to Cory, who sat three rows ahead, leaned back in his chair like he didn’t have a care in the world.
    But she knew better.
He hadn’t spared her a glance since morning. No whispered greetings. No quiet smirk. Nothing.
He hadn’t even looked her way when he walked into the class. And that silence… it killed her more than his words ever could.
She kept stealing glances at him, hoping and praying that he’d look back. That he’d change his mind. That he still believed her.
    But Cory didn’t.
He hadn’t said a word to her since the incident at his mansion, last night. Since she stood in that glowing vault, trembling under the weight of his silence while his mother painted her a thief.
    Lucy blinked back the memory.
She gripped her pen tighter, the sting of rejection still raw in her chest. She hadn’t meant to touch the necklace but she did anyway, out of her stupid curiosity. She hadn’t even known the room was real, let alone booby-trapped. But it hadn’t mattered. Not to his mother. Not to Cory.
Did he believe her? Even a little?
The bell rang sharply, snapping her out of thought.
Their teacher packed up and left, and students spilled out in groups, laughter and chatter filling the corridor.
    Cory stood.
    He didn’t wait for anyone.
He just slung his bag over his shoulder and walked out.
Lucy was on her feet in seconds.
She followed him quietly, until she caught sight of him heading toward the stairwell.
Then it clicked—he was going to the rooftop.
The one place he always escaped to when things got too loud.
She hesitated before she followed him, one step behind.
This time, she wouldn’t walk away without him hearing her out.
The breeze tugged at Lucy’s hair as she stepped on the rooftop, the door clicking softly behind her.
Cory was leaning against the railing, his back to her, looking out at the buildings below. His shoulders were tense, his jaw clenched like he’d been holding something in for too long.
She walked toward him, slowly, carefully, like approaching a wounded animal.
    “Cory…”
    He didn’t turn.
    “I wasn’t stealing,I was only exploring. I didn’t know that room was—”
“You didn’t know?” he cut her off, voice sharp as glass. He finally turned, and the look in his eyes nearly knocked the breath from her lungs… so cold as ice.
“Did anyone force the necklace into your hands? Did my mum? Did she shove you in there?”
Lucy took a step back. “No, I—”
“You walked in there with your two legs, even after I told you to wait for me in the room. You couldn’t stay put for twenty damn minutes. And now look” He ran a hand through his hair, laughing bitterly.
“Yeah, I know you’re poor, Lucy. But is it to the point of stealing? You made my mum mock me last night like I was some lovesick fool chasing after a thief”
    Her breath hitched.
“Cory…” she whispered, shaking her head. “That’s not fair. I didn’t—”
“Didn’t what?” he snapped. “Didn’t try to take something that doesn’t belong to you? Or didn’t know the cameras would catch you? You think I didn’t see the footage? You looked at that necklace like it was your way out of the gutter
Lucy gasped but he wasn’t done.
“You know what’s funny? I knew you were trouble. But I ignored it. You proved to me that you’re just a whore who sends nudes to boys in our class for money and now, what? A thief too?”
    She froze.
    The words struck like bullets.
Tears pooled in her eyes, but she didn’t look away.
“Don’t you have any shame left in you?” he growled.
Lucy swallowed hard. Her hands trembled at her sides. Her chest ached like something was ripping inside her.
But she still managed to whisper, “Cory I swear I didn’t try to steal it. I was just… just checking it out. It was beautiful and I touched it, yes, but not in the aim to steal it”
    He didn’t say a word.
“I know how it looked but please believe me”
“You shouldn’t have been there, you had no right”
She swallowed hard, blinking back the tears.
“I know. I was just curious”
Without another glance, Cory turned his back to her.
“Cory… please” she whispered, reaching out.
He didn’t stop but instead walked past her, the door creaking open and slamming shut behind him with a finality that shattered her.
    •••
    LIANA’S PLACE*
Liana sat on the rug, helping Ariella stack alphabet blocks. The little girl giggled, mispronouncing letters as she built a shaky tower.
    The doorbell rang.
“Stay here, baby” Liana said, standing up cautiously.
She opened the door and froze.
    Mrs. Knight.
Elegant, cold, and out of place in their modest apartment.
“What are you doing here?” Liana asked, surprised.
Mrs. Knight stepped in without waiting for an invitation. “I came to see my granddaughter”
Liana scoffed. “Now she’s your granddaughter?”
“She always was. Remember Xavier doesn’t have long span life, and he deserves to leave something behind” Her eyes flicked toward the sound of Ariella’s voice in the background. “She’s all we have”
Liana crossed her arms. “You told me to drug him. You made this mess, remember?”
Mrs. Knight gave a tight smile. “And you went through with it”
    Liana’s jaw clenched.
“You don’t care about her, do you?”
“Trust me I do, she’s my granddaughter after all” Mrs. Knight walked toward her.
    “Ariella” Mrs. Knight said softly.
The little girl blinked, surprised. Her name never sounded that warm coming from her grandmother’s lips.
Mrs. Knight knelt in front of her, her eyes glossy with something that looked frighteningly close to emotion. She reached out, cupping Ariella’s cheeks in her hands. The gesture was foreign, unfamiliar.
“I love you, my sweet granddaughter, pardon my previous attitude to you. I was wrong”
Ariella’s eyes widened, her small mouth parting in shock. This wasn’t a dream, was it?
Mrs. Knight smiled sadly and brushed a curl behind Ariella’s ear.
“I will make sure your father accepts you, okay? I promise. No more pretending you don’t exist. No more coldness. Just… family”
Ariella didn’t speak. Her body didn’t know how to react to kindness from the woman who had never shown it before.
After a pause, Ariella finally whispered, “Do you really mean it?”
Mrs. Knight nodded and pulled her into a rare, warm embrace. “I do”
She wanted to right all her wrongs before Xavier finally left the world. She would beg for his forgiveness, make him accept his daughter, and, someday soon, gather them all with Hailey included, for one final family dinner.

        ALEXANDER POV

I didn’t get the chance to explain everything to Richard because he left after eating to attend an urgent meeting, I was piling up some work in my office when Richard walked in, I raised my face to him and sighed.

“Don’t you have work to do in your company?”. I asked and he scoffed.

” I came here for you to explain what I saw in your house yesterday, you thought I would overlook it? Nah”. he said.

I scoffed.”I have no explanation to give you”.

“Sure you do! What did you do that made that girl end up as a cook in your house”.

        ” You are so demanding”.

“Yes I am, you know me too well, did you pay her boyfriend to allow his girlfriend to stay with you?”.

” No, I “. I sighed. ” She is only working for a month and then she will go back to her normal life”.

       “Why?”.

” Well, it’s a punishment actually, she broke my expensive vessel and she is paying for it by working one month with me”. I explained.

        “Are you serious?”.

        ” Yes”.

“And her boyfriend allowed it? he allowed his girlfriend to stay with a wealthy and most dangerous bachelor in the city of Los Angeles and also a woman’s choice of a man, tell me, did you pay him off?”.

” No, Besides, she and the useless boyfriend of hers are no more”.

        “What? They broke up?”.

” Yeah, the guy was so stupid”.

        “Alex, what did you do?”.

         ” Excuse you!”.

“Do you have anything to do with their break up?”.

” Hell no, the guy was to be blamed, his jealousy and….” I got interrupted.

“Why won’t he be jealous, whose guy on his right sense will allow his girlfriend to work for a wealthy bachelor, without thinking the opposite”.

” That wasn’t the reason, he sold her girlfriend to two old men to lay with”. I said and Richard gasped.

        “He did what?!”.

” Yeah, the girl found out and that’s what ended their relationship”.

“How stupid can he be? Did he know what he had lost? Gosh! I wish I could see him and strangle him with my bare hands”.

” Now you see I am not to be blamed”.

“Yeah, now, does this mean I can shoot my shot with her?”. he asked smiling at me.

        ” Excuse you!”

“Yes, you know I have always liked her, now that she is back in the market, I can shoot my shot”.

        ” You won’t dare”.

         “Why not?”.

” She is under my authority and I won’t let you have your way with her”.

“Why not? Do you want her as well?”.

         ” Excuse me!”.

          “You heard me”.

” No, she is not my type”.

“Oh really?”. he stared knowingly at me and I turned my face away.

        ••ALEXANDER MANSION••

          AURORA POV

I was pestering around my room wondering why the sudden care he was giving me, he was never like this with me when I started working here, he is always cold and mean. I kept pondering on it when I heard the doorbell, I rushed out of my room to open the door thinking he was the one, because, for the past few days, he had been coming home early, but my thoughts were wrong as Nora and his mother were standing at the doorstep giving me a disgusting look and Nora was holding her luggage.

” Um, good day ma”.I greeted politely. She ignored me and walked inside while I shut the door behind me.

“Where is my son?” She asked unfriendly.

“Um, he is not back from the office”. I replied and she walked up to me frowning at me.

” And what are you still doing in this house?”. She asked and I raised my face to her confusedly without responding. “Are you deaf?”.

” Um, am working here ma”.

“Well, your service is no longer needed here, I don’t like your kind of person, I can see you are the reason why my son is not giving attention to his woman”.

” Yes Mom, Alex chose her over me, he always cared for her like he was in love with her”. Nora said and I was surprised.

“Never! My son will never fall for a gold digger like her”. She retorted and I lowered my head to the ground.” Now look at me”. she commanded and I raised my face to her.”Are you sleeping with my son?”

“No, no ma, am not, am just his employee, that’s all”. I sputtered.

” Shut up!”. She yelled and landed a slap across my face.”You liar!”.

” Am not ma”. I said trying to defend myself while holding my face.

“She is mother, she is lying, she is the reason why Alex is ignoring me”. Nora said angrily.

” You don’t have to worry about that, she is leaving this house today, I know her kind of person, who plays innocent and at the end steals from us, now, go in there, pack your things and leave this house immediately”. she yelled.

“But ma, your…” She interrupted me.

“I said leave before I called the cops on you”. She retorts and I hurry to my room to start packing my belongings.

I tried controlling my tears, but it wasn’t working as they fell out of my eyes, I had never been this humiliated before, why would she accuse me of sleeping with her son? I can never do that, I am nobody in the eyes of her son, am just paying my debt to him.

” What is taking you so long in there”. Nora voiced out and I came out with my belongings.

“Now, listen to me, if you ever step foot in this house again, I will make sure you rot in jail, now scram!”. She yelled and I rushed out quickly. “Nonsense”!.

That was the last word I heard from her before I walked to the gate where the security man who was surprised to see me leaving.

      👨✈️”Are you leaving Ms. Aurora?”.

          “Um…I got interrupted.

” Open the gate and let that thing come out!”. She voiced out from the building, the security man obeyed and he opened the gate and I came out while he closed back the gate.

I could see his pitiful look on me as I stared back at the mansion one more time and walked away rolling my luggage with me with tears in my eyes.

“Yes son, I came in some hours ago”. she replied.

” why didn’t you tell me you were coming?”.

“do I need permission from you before coming to your house?”.

” But this is my house, I still need to know, by the way, what do you mean by ‘Aurora is not here’, did you send her on an errand?”.

“Hell no, she is not worth my errand, I fired her”. she blunted.

         ” Excuse you!”.

“Yes, her service to you is no longer needed in this house”.

” Says who, mother?”. He sighed trying to control his anger.”Why did you fire her?”.

“Because she is not wanted here anymore, Nora is here, she can fill in her space”.

” Mom, please, I think this is getting too much, this is my house for heaven’s sake! You have no right to fire my employee without my consent”.He said angrily.

“I have every right because I am your mother!”. She retort.”who the hell is she that I can not fire her? She is nobody and she is the reason you haven’t been noticing the woman met for you”.

” Stop Mother! stop it! You don’t have any right to decide for me, I am not a kid anymore, I am a full grown man who knows his right and wrong, I employed Aurora, only l alone, is allowed to fired her if I choose to”. He yelled and turned to leave.

         “Where are you going?”.

” You see Mother, am sure he is falling for that girl”. Nora said grumbling.

“That will not happen, not when I am still alive”. She said and sighed before turning to Nora.” You don’t have to worry about anything, I will never allow anyone to come between you and my son, understand?”. she said smiling at her and she nodded smiling back.”Let’s go and finish what we are doing in the kitchen”. She said and they went back to the kitchen.

Meanwhile, Aurora came back to her grandmother’s house, she was taking a nap in her room when Erica came to inform her that there was someone here to see her, without delay she rushed out of the house thinking it was Alexander who had come to look for her, but to her greatest disappointment it was Charles.

“Charles? What the heck are you doing here?”. she voiced out angrily.

” Please Aurora, please forgive me, I miss us, please, whatever thing you want me to do, I will do it just to have you back”. he said sincerely.

“Don’t you get it! We are done, there is no us anymore, didn’t I  warn you to stay away from me, please leave me alone”.

” I can’t! Please give me another chance, I can’t live without you, please!”. he sob.

Aurora turned to leave he hugged her from behind pleading seriously and regretting his actions, Aurora struggled to get loose from him.

“Let me go!”. She yelled as tears crawled out from her eyes, but Charles’s arms were still tight on her.

” Please Aurora, give me another chance, I love you, please”.

“Get away from her!”. Alexander interrupted them

There was so much anger in his voice as he rushed to Charles and pushed him hard on the face, he groaned and fell on the floor bleeding from the nose. Aurora was surprised by what he did and Alexander turned to her quickly.

” Are you okay? Did he hurt you?”. he asked curiously checking her body if she was hurt in any part.

        “No, I…”. she got interrupted.

” Are you sure?”. He caressed her face as wipe off her tears with his thumb.

“Yes, but what are you doing here?”. She asked staring into his eyes as their eyes interlocked affectionately.
