I just asked you to pull of your mask” Melissa said and scoffed.Brandon gulped down and clenched his fists tightly around Matilda’s hand.“Let’s run.” He whispered and immediately pulled her as they took to their feet immediately.“Catch them!” Melissa exclaimed and the guards began shooting at them.Brandon pulled Matilda into a safe corner before bringing out two guns. He aimed the guns to his right and left side before he began firing the gun, gunning down those men one by one.“Ahh!” Matilda screamed and covered her ears when she couldn’t bear hearing the loud noises produced by the gunshots.Brandon ducked and bullet flew pass him. Brought out a grenades then threw it the gate. It blew up the gate, together with some of the men standing there“Ahh!!” Matilda shrieked when a bullet almost hit her. She turned to see it was Melissa, shooting at them.“Matilda, I know it’s you!!” She screamed out.She actually went to check on Matilda only to find two corpses with Matilda missing so she immediately understood what was happening.“You two aren’t getting alive out of this I swear!!” Melissa screamed as she shot at them.Brandon aimed at Melissa and made to shoot but he just couldn’t. Each time he looks at her, he’s reminded of Angelo. How could be possibly kill her with no remorse.“F+k!!” He cussed and faced the other men.The more he gunned them down, the more they seem to increase. One thing is for sure for him: He’s not getting out of this place alive… But he’ll make sure his mother does.He removed his mask before facing Matilda“Mom I want you to run to the gate and no matter what, don’t ever turn back.” Brandon said and Matilda’s eyes widened.“But I can’t abandon you… You’ll-““Mom! Please…” Brandon said and Matilda stared at him. Tears escaped her eyes and she hugged Brandon tightly.“I love you son” She muttered and with that, she began running to the gate with tears in her eyes.“No!! Don’t let her escape!” Melissa screamed madly.Brandon shielded Matilda and he began shooting at the men who were targeting her. Matilda kept running with all her might without turning back.“F+k!” Brandon hissed when a bullet hit his arm.“No!!!” Melissa shouted when Matilda ran out of the gate. She made to go after her but Brandon didn’t hesitate to shoot her leg.“Ahh!! F+k!!” She went down, holding her bleeding legBrandon grabbed from behind and aimed his gun at her head.“Shoot me!! And I won’t hesitate to blow up her brain!” Brandon said menacingly and the men stopped shooting at him.“I know you can’t do it, you’re too weak!!” Melissa laughed but her laughter immediately turned to cry when Brandon implanted another bullet on her leg.“Argh!!!”“You really think so?” Brandon smirked.“Just because you’re Angelo’s mom you think I’ll forget all the maltreatment my mom went through because of you?” Brandon said, tightening his grip around his gun.Melissa gulped hard.“Brandon..”“Drop that gun or I guarantee you she won’t live the next minute” Marco said.Brandon looked front and his eyes widened when he saw him bringing in Kaylee who had her mouth and hands tied.“Kaylee…” His eyes widened.Kaylee looked at Brandon as more tears escaped her eyes..❆•❆•❆•❆<ASYLUM>Romeo and Juliet got down the car in front of the asylum and began walking to the entrance of the asylum.Romeo got the shock of his life when he got a call from Rosalie’s family, telling him she was interned in an asylum. They both walked in and luckily they bumped into Rosalie’s mother.“Aunt.” Romeo called and she broke down in tears.“Romeo, I’m sorry… Please forgive my daughter” She began crying loudly and Romeo’s eyes couldn’t help but widen. He looked at Juliet before facing Rosalie’s mother.“Umm… For what exactly?” Romeo asked but she just kept crying.“I think it’s best if you hear from yourself” She sniffed. She took them to the room where Rosalie was.“Miss please take your drugs” The nurse tried to cajole her but all she did was to scream.“Leave!! Don’t touch me!!”With a puzzled look on his face, Romeo slowly walked in the ward but he was stopped.“Sir, you can’t go in any further”Rosalie looked at him and her eyes widened. She immediately rushed to him and gripped his shirt tightly.“Please. Save me.. She’s going to kíll me!!” Rosalie cried.“W.. What?”“I swear I didn’t mean to kíll her. I just wanted her out of your life so I did that. You were supposed to be mine from the start” Rosalie cried.“What are you talking?” Romeo looked at her with a puzzled look on his face.“Your wife… Rosalie is responsible for her déad” Rosalie’s mother said with a heavy heart.Romeo’s eyes immediately widened.“I love you Romeo, she wasn’t good enough for you. When I thought we’ll finally be together, she had to to come into your life. “You are reading from www.mhiztaemy.com.ng” Damn you!!” Juliet screamed and made to attack Juliet but the nurses held her back.“You b*+ch! I hàte you!! Leave my man!!” She kept screaming. One of the nurses immediately injected her and it didn’t take a minute for her to fall asleep. Then shocked look on Romeo’s faced still remained there as he looked at Rosalie who was taken to her bed.“Ro… Romeo” Juliet made to touch him but he immediately stormed out of the place.“Romeo!”❆•❆•❆•❆<K!SS ENTERTAINMENT>“You were so perfect Candy… I wanna scream to the whole wide world that I love you!!” Angelo lifted her up, turning her around“Hey, put me down!” Harmony laughed.Angelo placed her down and immediately claimed her lips.“Where is Cassidy and Kaylee, thought they said they’ll come” Tasha said, pressing her phone.“I’m also worried too. Try calling her phone” Barbie said.Tasha nodded and immediately did so but her line was unreachable.“I think her phone is switched off” Tasha said.“Let’s go to her house then” Evan suggested and they all nodded then began heading to where their car where packed.Angelo brought out his phone to check something. Actually, earlier he discreetly placed a tiny camera on Brandon which he connected to his phone. He turned on the camera and his eyes widened at what he saw. Kaylee was tied up very badly with some men pointing their guns at them and what he saw the next minute shocked him to the core.“M.. Mom?” He stuttered.“What are you looking at?” Harmony asked and looked at his phoneHarmony’s eyes widened immediately.“No, this can’t be” Angelo immediately entered his car then drove off.“Angelo!!” Harmony screamed as she watched his car drive away.Winter walked out of the company while smiling to herself. She can’t believe she won too, but the problem is that she’ll be partnering with Harmony.“How I’m I supposed to do that?” She thought but her thought were cut short when Chris immediately hugged her tightly.“Congrats Win!! I’m so proud of you, I knew you’ll win” Chris smiled widely.Winter rolled her eyes and pushed him away.“Stop that… I didn’t give you permission to hug me” Winter frowned. When she saw the happy look on his face, she couldn’t help but mellow down. The fact that he was the only one and Glen who supported him made her smile.“Which restaurant should we go, I got paid for one of my part-time job so let’s celebrate for your victory. So should we go for pork, chicken, steak or…”His eyes widened when he felt Winter’s lips press on his cheek. That caught him completely off guard that he couldn’t help but blush.“What.. What was that for” He asked slowly.“Let’s say a thank you peck” Winter scoffed and began walking away. She stopped when she was hearing his footstep behind her so she turned to see him still standing there on his spot.“So are we going for the chicken or you wanna stand there and stare at me” Winter said.Chris smiled and walked to her“Let’s go” He said.Winter nodded and stylishly held his hand.“Eww why are your hands so sweaty. Yuck!” Winter rolled her eyes but didn’t release his hand.Chris looked at her and held her hand tighter as they walked.❆•❆•❆•❆The passerbys kept looking at Matilda who kept running. Her clothes looked so dirty and with how skinny she looked, they thought maybe it’s a mad woman. She was sure she was already far from the clan but she couldn’t afford to get caught again, that will mean all what Brandon has done was in vain. She didn’t know when she got the the highway and just then, a car was speeding to her direction.“Ahh!!” She fell on her butt in fear and the car screeched to a halt in front of her.“Hey are you crazy! What’s wrong with you!!” The driver of the car got down.Matilda immediately stood up and clamped her hands together.“Please help me! I need you to take me to-““What’s happening here?” The back door opened and Daniel (Angelo’s dad) got down the car.His eyes widened when he saw her.. What the hell is he seeing?Matilda’s eyes brightened when she saw him too..“Daniel!” She exclaimed and quickly rushed to him.“Ma.. Matilda?” Daniel called in shock.Years ago, Diego announced to the whole world that his wife díed. How come he’s seeing her right in front of him? Is he hallucinating?Daniel had to blink severally.“Daniel, please you have to help me.. Melissa, she’s going to kill him” Matilda cried out and Daniel’s eyes widened even more.“What?”❆•❆•❆•❆<RED MAMBA>Inside the torture room, sounds of punches and kicks were heard as Marco kept punching Brandon, pouring out all what Brandon did to him.He gave Brandon another punch on the tummy and he spat out blood.“No.. Brandon” Kaylee thought as rivers of tears couldn’t stop pouring down her eyes. She doesn’t know what hurts more, the fact that the person she once saw as her father kidnapped her or the fact that she’s been forced to watch this heartbreaking viewMarco punched Brandon on the face and his nose bled even more.“Is that all you’ve got? C’mon, unchain me let’s fight.. Man to man you coward” Brandon said weakly with a scornful smirk on his face. That infuriated Marco even more and he made to punch him again.“What are you waiting for? Finish him off before Diego comes back” Melissa said, walking in the room while smoking.“Boss was kind enough to spare my life and you want me to kill his son. Are you nuts?”Melissa didn’t waste a minute in slapping him.“Watch the way you talk to me old rat” Melissa smirked then faced Brandon with a smirk on her face.“I was actually planning on kílling you sooner or later but you willingly fell into the lion’s den” Melissa laughed.“I can’t let you and your wretched mother steal away what belongs to me. All of Diego’s wealth belongs to our son and no one else’s” Melissa smirked.“Our son?” Brandon asked confusedly.“Oh my bad, I forgot you never knew… Well I guess it’s time you know. Angelo is Diego’s son” Melissa said, puffing out her smoke at his face.“What..” Brandon’s throat ran dry.“You heard me right. You two are step brothers, well not for long because you’re dying here” Melissa picked her gun.“Since you two are lovers, I’ll do you the greatest favor by killing you two together so you will get to live your happily ever after. I know, my generosity will be the end of me” Melissa laughed before aiming her gun at Kaylee.“Who is dying first. Her or you?” Melissa smirked.“No!!! Don’t you dare touch her!!” Brandon screamed out.“Fine… Then I guess you’ll go first” Melissa shrugged and changed her target to Brandon.Kaylee began screaming in tears but it was inaudible since they gagged her.Melissa clicked on her gun with a smirk on her face and her finger went to the trigger.Angelo ran in the room while breathing heavily. His eyes widened when he saw the scene.“No… Mom!!” Like flash, he ran to Brandon and shielded him with his body.Melissa pulled the trigger almost immediately and Kaylee’s eyes widened.✎.. .. .. ..『𝐓.𝐁.𝐂』 -

She blinked through the haze, her vision swimming until the room around her began to settle into shape.A bedroom. It’s warm and cozy with soft amber lights that glowed from the lamps. A luxurious duvet covered her legs. Heavy curtains blocked out the night. She shot upright only for a wave of pain to slice through her forehead, forcing her to wince.A deep voice broke through the silence.“Easy, Aurora. Slowly”Her breath hitched.Antonio DeLuca sat beside her.Perfectly composed. Hands folded with a faint, grim smile carved on his face as if he had been waiting for her to wake… evaluating her.Her pulse spiked. She remembered the underground, the stairs, the padlocked doors, the disturbing paintings, the voice, the hit.And now…this. She swallowed tightly. “W-Where am I?”“In one of the guest rooms,” Antonio said smoothly, leaning back in the chair. “You fainted. In the hallway”Aurora’s fingers curled around the blanket. “I… fainted?”His eyes sharpened just a little… too keen, too knowing. “Yes. You must’ve been overwhelmed. New environment. Stress. Maybe you skipped dinner” He shrugged, smile deepening. “Happens to the best of us”Her stomach twisted. He was lying. And he was too calm.Aurora forced her expression into soft confusion. “I… I thought I was somewhere else…”Antonio tilted his head, amusement flickering in his gaze. “Somewhere else? Like where?”Her heart stumbled. This was a test.A trap disguised as concern. She lowered her eyes, voice barely above a whisper. “I must’ve been dreaming”Antonio chuckled lightly… too lightly. “Dreams can be strange, can’t they? Especially when one is stressed” He leaned forward slowly, placing a gentle hand on her wrist. “But you were never anywhere but this house”Aurora lifted her gaze to meet his.He held her eyes too long.A cold shiver crept down her spine.“Of course,” she murmured with a soft, embarrassed laugh. “It must have been a dream. I guess the wine affected me more than I thought”His smile widened, satisfied. “Good girl”Aurora kept her face composed, even as bile rose in her throat at the phrase.Antonio stood slowly, his shadow stretching over her. “You know, Aurora…” he began, “this family takes care of its own. And we protect the people we welcome into our home” He glanced around the cozy room, then back at her. “You’re safe here. As long as you trust us”The words slid into the air like a warning disguised as a lullaby.Aurora nodded gently. “I trust you, Mr. DeLuca”His eyes gleamed with dark approval.“Good.” He turned toward the door. “Nicholas was worried when he realized you were missing. I told him you were resting. He’ll check on you in the morning”Aurora’s breath hitched again. “Does he know about… me fainting?”“No.” Antonio opened the door, pausing in the doorway. “And he doesn’t need to”Their gazes locked.A silent threat.A silent reminder of who held the power here.He smiled one last time, that same grim curve of his lips.“Sleep well, Aurora”The door clicked shut. The moment he was gone, Aurora’s mask collapsed. Her trembling hands clutched the blanket as cold sweat dripped down her spine. He knew.He knew she went down there. He knew she saw something. And he wasn’t angry. He was calm.Which meant one thing:Antonio had a plan.Aurora slowly exhaled, steadying herself.“Then so do I” she whispered. She lay back down, closing her eyes not to sleep, but to think and prepare.Because the game wasn’t over.It had just begun.Aurora lay still for several minutes after Antonio left, trying to steady the trembling inside her chest. But the pounding in her head lingered… and so did the dryness in her throat. She swallowed hard. Her lips felt like sandpaper.“I need water” she whispered to herself. She slipped out of the soft bed, her legs a little unsteady, and opened the door quietly. The hallway was dim and silent. She found the kitchen lights still on.A young maid stood at the counter rinsing some plates. She turned when she heard Aurora enter, her eyes widening a little, fear flickering there for a brief second.Aurora opened a cabinet silently, took out a glass, and filled it with water. She drank half of it in one long, thirsty pull before setting the glass down gently. Then she moved closer to the maid. The girl’s hands stilled on the plate. She tensed.Aurora kept her tone casual. “What work does Antonio do?”The maid froze. Her shoulders shot up, and she quickly turned back to the sink.“Uhh… a businessman” she muttered.Aurora tilted her head. “What kind of business is that? At least I need to know what business my future father-in-law is into” She gave a soft, polite laugh, as if she were simply making conversation. The maid’s fingers slipped, almost dropping the plate. “No… please leave me alone”She hurried away from Aurora like a panicked animal, disappearing into the pantry area.Aurora watched her flee, a cold, determined smile touching her lips as she murmured, “I’m going to ruin you, Antonio”She turned to head back to her room when suddenly a hand grabbed her arm.Aurora spun sharply. It was the same maid. Her face was pale, her breathing uneven. She kept glancing over her shoulder, eyes darting around the kitchen as if expecting someone to storm in at any moment. The maid’s grip trembled around Aurora’s wrist.“I… I’ll tell you about his business,” she whispered, voice cracking.“Please… come into my room”Aurora nodded.“Lead the way” she whispered back. The maid nodded shakily and tugged her toward the servants’ corridor, glancing behind them every few seconds as if he could appear at any moment. The maid led Aurora through a narrow hallway meant only for the servants. Aurora noticed how the girl’s hands shook as she fumbled with her keys. She pushed her small room door open and quickly ushered Aurora inside. The moment the door clicked shut, the maid locked it twice. She pressed her back against the door, chest rising and falling in sharp breaths. Her eyes were red, watery and terrified.Aurora stepped closer. “You can tell me. You’re safe with me”The maid covered her mouth with both hands, trying to steady her trembling. Then, in a whisper so fragile it felt like it could shatter, she began.“Antonio… he does human trafficking”Aurora’s breath stilled. The maid continued, her voice cracking. “He abuses them… locks them up in the underground rooms. Then he sells them off… like things… like animals. Some of them never make it out. Some die before he even sells them”Tears slipped down the maid’s cheeks uncontrollably.Aurora sat beside her slowly, letting the girl take her time. But the maid shook her head, needing to speak, needing someone to finally hear the truth.“My sister is there…” she whispered, her voice trembling violently.“He took both of us. We were kidnapped from our village outside Milan. He kept us locked for weeks. But one day, I was taken upstairs to serve the family. And he told me… told me that if I ever mentioned anything… if I breathed a word of what happens underground…”Her voice broke.“He would kill her”Aurora felt her stomach twist, her fists tightening. The maid wiped her tears hard, trying to stay quiet so no one outside would hear.“He… he abuses the girls himself. And when he gets tired of them… or when they start fighting… or crying too loudly… he punishes them. I hear them sometimes”She squeezed her eyes shut. “At night. I hear them screaming”Aurora fought to keep her composure, her heart cold and burning at the same time. The maid continued, her voice barely audible now.“He mustn’t know I told you this. Please. Please don’t let him know I said anything”Her fingers dug into Aurora’s arm as she whispered urgently, “Run away from this family. Don’t marry into them. Antonio is evil. Evil”Aurora swallowed, her voice steady. “What about Nicholas? Does he know?”The maid shook her head vehemently. “No. I swear he doesn’t. He’s clueless. Antonio hides everything from him. He uses Nicholas as bait. Sets dates for him, plans events, even announced publicly that he’s searching for a wife for his son”Aurora’s eyes widened. That explained everything. The public announcement, the forced arrangements… the perfect opportunity for innocent girls to walk willingly into the trap. The maid continued, tears slipping down again.“Many girls showed up… all believing they were special. Believing they could marry into a wealthy family. But it was a lie. A trap”She sniffed hard. “He chooses the ones he wants and locks the rest”Aurora felt a deep chill crawl beneath her skin. She looked at the maid who is small, terrified and fragile and yet she had dared to speak the truth.Aurora placed a hand on her trembling shoulder. “I’m going to help you. And your sister”The maid’s eyes widened in shock and fear. “Please… please don’t promise what could get you killed”Aurora leaned close, her voice a silent vow.“I’m not running. I came here with a purpose. And now… I’m ending him”Aurora’s words hung in the air.The maid stared at her with wide, terrified eyes, her breath catching in her throat. For a moment, she looked as if she wanted to take the words back, as if she regretted even letting Aurora step into her room.“Aurora…” she whispered shakily, voice trembling. “You don’t understand the kind of man he is”Aurora held her gaze, unflinching. “I do. More than you think”The maid shook her head quickly, wiping fresh tears with the back of her hand. “He will kill you. He kills people easily. Without regret. Without hesitation”“I’m aware,” Aurora murmured, “But I’m not afraid”The maid swallowed hard. “I just… I don’t want anyone else to suffer. I don’t want you to end up like the others”Aurora’s chest tightened. “I won’t”The girl’s voice grew faint, barely more than a trembling breath. “My sister… she’s only sixteen”Aurora closed her eyes briefly, steadying herself.Sixteen.A child.A life stolen. She opened her eyes again, sharper and colder. “Tell me everything. Every detail. I need to know how deep he’s buried himself”The maid nodded weakly. “He has connections everywhere. The Police, local council and even businessmen. They all owe him favors, money or protection” She lowered her gaze. “He hides everything underground. The cameras don’t record what goes on there. And only Antonio has the keys. He doesn’t trust anyone else”Aurora clenched her jaw.Of course he didn’t.The maid looked at her with a trembling desperation. “Please… when you leave here, don’t come back. Just run. You’re lucky you woke up in a bedroom. Many girls don’t wake up at all”Aurora exhaled slowly. “I’m not leaving without getting those girls out. And I’m not leaving without ensuring Antonio pays for this”“You’re going to die if you stay, i know what I’m saying”Aurora’s eyes hardened, dark and determined.“Not before he does”The maid stared at her, stunned.“I have to leave” Aurora said quietly. The maid nodded, wiping her tears again. “Please… please be careful”Aurora’s mind raced as she stepped back toward the door.‘Once I get to my room, Matteo will know everything’Her fingers lingered on the handle. A mental note to explain everything details to him.She pushed the door open.Nicholas was there.Standing perfectly still, framed by the dim light of the hallway. His face unreadable, every expression masked in shadow. The maid froze beside her, a sharp, stifled gasp escaping her lips.No words, no movement. Just the tense silence, heavy and suffocating.Aurora’s heart thudded in her chest as the door hung between them.OH GOD…••TBC😈 -

NARRATOR POV
Aurora was seated in the lobby after getting her test done and waiting for the result when her cell phone rang.
📞”Hey Nina”. She said on the phone.
📞”How is going?”.Nina asked from the other end of the phone.
📞”I am waiting for the test result”.
📞”Ok, don’t worry, it’s gonna be fine”.
📞”Yeah, I will see you later”. She hung up and sighed.
Elizabeth was walking along the hallway when suddenly she paused as she caught sight of Aurora seated in the lobby.
“What is she doing here? Is Alex with her too?”. She wonders and then she stops a nurse walking by. ” Excuse me”. She called and the nurse moved to her.”Sorry for calling you, but I just wanted to know what that lady is here for?”
👩⚕️”Oh, you mean her?”She asked and Elizabeth nodded.”She came here to run some tests, and one of the nurses attended to her, so she is waiting for the result “.
” Ok, I guess they are still in the laboratory?”.
👩⚕️”Yes”.
“OK, thank you very much”. she said and the nurse walked away. ” Let it not be what I am thinking”. She rushed to the laboratory and saw the nurse working on the computer.”Hey”.
👩⚕️”Hey”.
“Sorry to ask, are you the one assigned to work on Ms. Aurora’s test result?”.
👩⚕️” Yes, am working on it now, it will take some time”.
“Ok, do you know what could be wrong with her?”.
👩⚕️” Not sure, but my instincts are saying she might be pregnant”. She said and Elizabeth gasped.
“Really?”.
👩⚕️” Not sure, but, let’s just hope is true”.
“Ok”. She moves around and fetches water from the dispenser and moves to her, she pretends to watch what she is doing and pours the water on the keyboard and the computer goes blank” Oh, my am sorry, my hand slipped “. She said helping the nurse to clean up.
👩⚕️” What have you done, I didn’t even save my work”.
“Am so sorry, it was an accident”.
👩⚕️” What do you want me to do now, what do I tell the doctor and the lady”.
“Am so sorry”. She apologized and the nurse sighed tiredly and she left to inform the doctor what happened. Elizabeth smirks as she stares after her and then walks away.
Aurora came out of the building after the doctor informed them of the mistake that happened and that she should come back for another test tomorrow. She was waiting when a cab drove towards her and stopped, she entered and it drove off.

Some hours later, Nina was already dressed up for dinner, and when she heard a car horn and she knew it was Richard. She came out looking gorgeous in her wear and Richard was amazed.
” Wow! You look breathtaking”. he compliments her and moves to her, he takes her hand and places a kiss on it.”Shall we?”.
“Sure”. They entered the car and drove off
Mrs Stella had already prepared different meals and was waiting for the guest’s arrival. Not too long after, Alex drove into the compound, he got a test from Aurora telling him to go and that he would meet him there, Alex was a little odd by the message, but he just had to yield to it.
“You are here”. Mrs.Stella said as she rushed to hug him, after a while, they pulled away from each other.” You look so handsome”.
“Thank you, Mom”. They smile at each other.” Where is grandfather?”.
“Am here”. he said as he climbed down the staircase and hugged Alex.” Is so good to see you again son”.
“Thank you, grandfather, how have you been?”. he asked as they pulled away from each other.
” Never been better”. They chuckle.
“Where are your guests? Aren’t they coming?”. Mrs. Stella asked.
” Richard and his fiancee are on their way”.
“OK, what about your special guests we are meeting today?”.He asked and Alex blushed.
” She will be joining us soon, grandfather”.
“Why didn’t you come with her?”. Mrs. Stella asked.
” She is caught up with something, not to worry, she will be joining us soon”. He said and they left to the dining table.
Some minutes later, Richard and Nina arrived and they were welcomed in warmly by Mrs. Stella. Richard introduced Nina to them as his fiancee and they complimented her. Alex became worried as he wondered why Aurora was not here yet, he tried her number, but it wasn’t connecting.
“Son, your guest is not coming anymore”. She asked.
“Am wondering why she is not here yet”. He said.
” Try calling her”. Richard said.
“Is not connecting”.
” Maybe she is on her way, you should know how traffic behaves”.Nina said.
“Yes, let’s wait for a while”. his grandfather said.
Meanwhile, in a deep bush, Aurora was unconscious in the cab she entered at the hospital. She started to regain herself as the side of her head was bleeding.
” Ah!”.She groans in pain and then realizes what happened earlier, the cab man lost control of his break and ran into the bush. “Oh no”. She looked around the car and noticed the driver was not in the driver’s seat, she tried to open the door but it was locked.” Help! Someone help! Am stuck!”. She screamed hitting the door and struggling to go out. “Oh no, how do I get out of here”. She searched for her bag and couldn’t find it. ” Where is my bag?”. She wondered and continued knocking on the door and screaming for help.
Suddenly, the car started moving on its own heading deep into the bush, Aurora kept screaming for help.
“So long Aurora, you are going to be missed”. Elizabeth said staring at her from afar with Spike.
It was their plan, Spike was the cab man driving the cab, he intentionally lost control of the car and it crashed into the bush for Aurora to get hurt. After that, they lock all the doors of the car and turn on the car engine automatically to drive on its own and crash into pieces. Aurora was still screaming for help and struggling to come out. On the peak of the car crashing into a mighty tree, the door forcefully opened and she jumped out and the car crashed and exploded. Elizabeth and Spike were surprised at how she managed to escape.
” Find her”. She instructed and Spike walked away.
Everyone became worried about why Aurora was taking too long.
“Am going to her place to see if she is there, am not feeling good about this “. Alex said.
” Yes, son, you should go”. His grandfather said.
“Am coming with you”. Richard said.
” No, Richard, you stay behind”.
“Are you sure?”.
” Yes, I will be back”. He said and walked away and they sighed.
“I have never seen him this panicked before”. Mrs. Stella said. ” I hope she is safe”.
“I hope so too”.
Aurora became weak after getting blasted by the explosion of the car, she crawled away to a place where she could be seen. Just then spike stood at her front.
” Going somewhere?”. He smirks and Aurora raises her face at him.
“Who are you? Please help me”. She said weakly.
” Am sorry I am not here to help you but to end your life”.
“What? How do you mean?”.
” You will know soon”. He drags her up and Aurora struggles with him.
“Let me go”. she said as he continued to drag her along, then she bit his hand. Spike let go of her hand quickly groaning in pain and she ran off while he chased after her.
” You are dead meat!”. he said angrily and continue to chased after her and he finally caught her because she was looking weak. “You moron!”. He hit her hard in the face and she fell unconscious. ” This is your end”. He lifts her on his shoulder and walks away.
Alex arrived at Aurora’s house, he knocked on the door and her grandmother came out.
“Good day ma “. He greeted politely.
” Good day to you too, what brought you here?”.
“Um, Is Aurora in, am here to pick her up”.
” No, she hasn’t returned from work, I thought maybe she was working late as usual”. She said and Alex was confused.
“Are you sure?”.
” Yes, is everything ok? Is my granddaughter in trouble?”.She panicked.
“No granny she is not, we were supposed to go on a dinner date today and she told me not to come pick her up, so, I was worried she might still be home that’s why is taking so long”.
” I haven’t seen her since she left for work this morning”.
“OK granny, you don’t have to worry, am guessing she is on her way to the place,”.he said.
“OK, if you say so”.
” I will be on my way now”. he left for his car and she went inside. Alex phoned Richard. 📞”Is Aurora there yet?”.
📞”No man, isn’t she at home?”. Richard asked from the other end of the phone.
📞”No, I am getting worried, what if something has happened to her?”.
📞”Don’t think like that, am sure she will be fine, just come over”.
📞”Sure”. He hung up and drove away.

Ivanna’s five fingers painted themselves on that cheek. Red as hell, but she didn’t care.
The tears finally fell from her eyes, rolling down her cheeks fast.
Bobby nearly tore himself from Renata’s side to come attack her, but Renata pulled him back.
“No!”
“She just slapped him! No one has ever done that except dad, and that’s because Leo allowed him. This isn’t right!” Bobby spat.
“Still…No.” Renata insisted.
Bobby bit the wall of his mouth, forcing himself to look away.
Robert and Ginny looks like the most shocked. Their eyes hasn’t stopped widening.
Their parents aren’t with Leonardo?
Then…with who?
The tear line crawled down Ivanna’s second eye too, and Leonardo clenched his jaws, the prints of her fingers are already clearing off.
He tried getting close, but she pushed him roughly.
“Don’t touch me!! I kept asking, kept begging like a fool! I even still asked this morning, but all you said was to trust you! How could I trust you when you lied to me whereas my parents are in the hands of a evil girl like Lissa! If they’re with Lissa, they’re practically with the Armando family, the same family who threw us in this problem in the first place! I saw the sent video and my parents looked wretched! My fine mum and lively dad are now close to leprosy!! How could you!!” She cried.
Again, Leonardo wanted to grab her hands, but she pushed him for the second time, and he instantly yanked her up, carrying her up his shoulder.
He made sure his arm stayed wrapped on her thigh at the back to cover them as he took her away.
She was beating his back, punching and biting, but he didn’t care, and he didn’t allow her to throw her legs cos his second hand held them down by the ankles.
“I hate you!!! M+therf+ker! I hate you very much it’s unquantifiable!!! I hate, hate you!!!!”
Her screams tore through the air as she got carried away.
The rest are still there, and Ginny is already crying.
“It can’t be. You mean our parents have been in Lissa’s possession all these while, and I’ve been here, living freely like I have no problem?”
“They’ll be fine, maybe Ghost will find them.” Tierney said, a obvious attempt at consoling her.
“No. He’s not in control anymore. You don’t get it, the Padrino is probably involved and…what if they kill our parents?” Ginny hiccupped.
“Gee,” Nino placed an hand on Robert’s shoulder.
“I heard wrong, right?” Robert faced him. Tears are in his eyes too.
“I was living fine, adapting fine, thinking my parents were somewhere living fine under Ghost’s protection, but whole time they’ve actually been with the Armandos? I feel sold.” Robert replied slowly.
Ginny rushed over to Hilda, and Hilda looks like she doesn’t even know what to say.
“Will my parents be fine?” She asked desperately.
Hilda only looked on. No words.
“They won’t ever be released if Leo refuses to bend. It’s different this time, Leo is cornered, and it won’t be easy.” Renata said.
“Marko Esposito, now I understand when you said he was the one who ruined mum too. If mum had a different father, maybe she’d have been a normal woman.” Bobby muttered beside her.
“Yeah, dad ruined her, but Vera had so many chances to run away from dad and start life afresh, but she never took those chances. Apart from father’s sick legacy, she had wickedness in her too.” Renata said.
“You said she once fell in love with a man, how was she in love if she was born wicked?” Bobby asked.
“There’s a thick line between love and obsession, Bobby. Vera was obsessed with Santos, not love.” Renata stated.
“His name was Santos?” Bobby looked ahead with a sigh.
“Yeah, Santos.” Renata replied, patting his shoulder.
“How’re you feeling, about Wendy?”
“I remember her body was returned to the orphanage, I’ll just go there and pay my last respects.” He replied, and Renata nodded.
Then… Bacardi and Bobby and Don Anthony appeared.
“Fûck, you’re here!” Bacardi gave Bobby a tight hug.
“Thought I’ve been cut into skewers by our granddad?” Bobby replied, hugging her back slowly.
“I didn’t think less,” Bacardi replied.
Sandra hugged him too, and he hugged them back with an arm each.
While he’s doing that, he’s smiling at Don Anthony who returned it.
“Is Felicia still locked up?” Renata asked him.
Anthony nodded.
“I promised to help, but now that it has gotten to this stage, I don’t even know what to propose anymore. Can’t even feel my head.” Bobby said.
“Leo promised to help, too.” Anthony said slowly.
“He did?” They all chorused.
Anthony nodded. “The night he invited me to dinner at his Citadel”
<Flashback To That Night>
Leonardo made a call to the estate kitchen before he arrived with Anthony, and when they got to the elevator, the staffs were already waiting in front of it with the nourishing food trays.
They’re two, so father and son took them one by each.
Leonardo opened the elevator, and Anthony entered with him. The ride to the top floor was silent, and Anthony almost lost his way as he looked around. It’s his first time inside this place.
Leonardo gave him a glare which made him comport himself as they set the food trays on the table.
They settled down to eat afterwards, but Anthony wasn’t comfortable with the silence at all.
“I never knew the interior looked as majestic as this. You’ve always loved majestic though, so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.” He said.
“What do you like about Felicia?” Leonardo asked the question he wasn’t expecting, and Anthony paused, dropping his cutlery.
“She might be a bad person at some point, but she’s not a bad person generally, and trust me, I can vouch for her that her love for you and your siblings is genuine. I married her one month after Vera’s death not because I’ve been seeing her before Vera’s death, but because i wanted to piss Vera’s spirit up.”
“After Vera’s death, I visited Felicia’s bar. That night, a customer was harassing Island, and Felicia was fighting the customer, throwing him hits cos he harassed her daughter. It was chaotic, but then I found out the girl she was fighting for wasn’t even her biological daughter, it was a child she picked up and adopted as her own… I was impressed, so I picked her for my purpose.”
“I mean…Vera was an abusive mother who’d even hurt her son for trainings or lock him up in a starvation prison to lose weight, but Felicia was fighting for her adopted daughter like that? What length would she go for her biological child? The contrasting qualities made me decide right there to breed her, so I married her.”
“And you fell in love with her along the way even after you found out she was suffering from barrenness?” Leonardo asked.
He has dropped his fork by now, focusing on Anthony.
“She’s not completely barren. She once got pregnant for me, remember? But she had a sudden miscarriage and almost fell to death if not for Island who caught her. And yes…I love her, and I won’t defend her bad side, but I’d also not cover her good side.” Anthony replied.
Leonardo took a cup of water and drank a little.
“I believe she really got her fingers cut to get the ointment for Island, and I believe Lissa and Penny are lying because—”
“I know they’re lying, and I know Felicia got her fingers cut cos of Island.” Leonardo cut him off.
“You do?” Anthony gasped.
“That night when she left the estate, I sent my guards after her cos she looked suspicious, and the guards reported she went to the underworld hub with Penny.” Leonardo said.
“I knew it!” Anthony banged the table. “Can you say that to your granddad? Felicia is gonna get out.”
“You think?” Leonardo rolled eyes. “I hate Felicia, so me testifying for her alibi will make it look like I want to frame Penny and Lissa. Granddad already sees the Armando family as his partners, so it’s a dead end.”
“Then?” Anthony’s arms dropped.
“I’ll go on my Britain journey and return before I can help you with getting her out. You can then go back to your healthy diet and stop looking like a starved duck.” Leonardo replied, and Anthony smiled.
“As if you’re better than me. You barely touched that food, you’re still allergic to eating more than ten or twelve forkfuls.” He said.
Leonardo didn’t say anything anymore, he just stood and began walking into his bedroom.
Anthony turned around on his chair, watching him leave.
He smiled again, wishing Vera didn’t mess with his son’s head.
Leonardo would have been the sweetest man ever.
<Present Time>
“Now that things became like this, I don’t think helping Felicia out is on his bingo card anymore. I mean… Ivanna’s parents are hooked and he’s hooked himself.” Bobby said.
“Ivanna’s parents?” Bacardi faced him quickly.
“Oh you haven’t heard the latest? The Cooper couple are with Lissa, and Lissa is now working with Marko, so she probably transferred them to the valley already, and you know anything that gets trapped in that valley will never come out unless Marko wants it to come out.” Bobby explained.
“What!” Bacardi gasped, turning around to where Robert is standing with Nino.
She rushed over, and Nino left them.
“Hey…don’t cry.” Bacardi wiped the tears on his face.
“I was thinking my parents were fine with Ghost, and that’s why I said I was capable of facing your grandpa if he ever tried to come for me, but now I don’t know what to think… My parents don’t deserve pains anymore.” Robert sniffled.
“It’ll be settled sooner than you expect, I promise.” Bacardi held his face dearly.
“How? Your granddad is a psycho! I thought I’ve seen it all with Ghost, but your granddad is a greater one and I can’t…” He sniffled again.
“Rob! When you cry, I get prickles on my skin, so stop.” She wiped his tears again, and he nodded.
“I’ve heard you,”
—
[Cooper Siblings Apartment]
“She wants you to get married to her within 24hrs and go to Paris on her honeymoon. If that’s what’s gonna bring forth my parents, then do it! I just want my parents back!” Ivanna said impatiently.
Leonardo has forced a shirt and short skirt into her body now, but she still looks crazy with the tangled hair.
They’re both standing in the middle of her bedroom.
“I don’t want you making any move. They said 24hrs and I can’t risk you making any move within 24hrs and get my parents killed! Your granddad is a ticking time bomb like you, but you can’t handle that man! Better give him what he wants and get my parents back!” She sniffles.
“A wedding with Lissa? Stupid Honeymoon in Paris? A fuckin heir of this empire in her womb? Last night, you were saying my cvck is yours, and now?” Leonardo glared.
“No don’t do that! Don’t compare my parents with your manhood, Leo! When you arrived, you heard Bob was in danger at the valley, and you went straight for him cos he’s family! These people are my parents! They raised me so I could find my real parents one day!” She shouted, clutching her necklace pendant.
“I need my parents back, Leo. I want my parents back!”
Then… Leonardo turned around and left the room.
“Leo!” She went after him.
“Leo!”
He went for the door, flung it open and waltzed out of the apartment.
Ivanna did a squat behind the door after it closed, wiping the tears that are already pouring again.
—
[Estate Park]
When Leonardo arrived, Renata and his siblings are still there, and when he entered his car in fury without talking to anyone of them, Renata quickly stayed in front of the car, stopping him before he could drive.
“You can’t act rash, Leo! You can’t play your smartness cards with granddad now that the parents are in HIS valley! You can’t! You know he can kill the parents and nothing is gonna happen!” She shouted.
“Leo! Leo, calm your nerves!” Bacardi added loudly.
“I’m sure he has them locked in his dungeon, and inside that dungeon second cell, there’d be a guard stationed there to monitor them. If you make a rash move of threatening him or getting mad, he only has to order the guard by sending a signal, and the guard is gonna just shoot them dead!” Renata continued.
Leonardo’s hands are still on the wheel.
“Listen, only his thumbprint can open the dungeon door, and initially, his closest guard has his plastic thumb with him, but now that it has been burned, you can’t open the dungeon without Marko’s direct thumbprint. I know you’re thinking of killing him, but that’d be impossible too cos the thumbprint censor counts his heartbeats too… you know the kind of lock I’m talking about, so he has to be alive, healthy, breathing and functioning well before the door opens!” Renata shouted again.
Leonardo still didn’t let go of the wheel.
“Leo… please.” Bacardi begged.
“So now y’all are saying he should… marry Lissa? Make Lissa birth the heir of this empire?” Bobby said.
Sandra and Anthony were quiet, and Leonardo finally rolled the weel, bypassing Renata and speeding out of the estate.
—
[Phoenix Valley]
Lissa has joined her parents here now. Immediately Ivanna read the message an hour ago, she drove down here to stay, and now they’re all waiting for the next chapter.
Leonardo will either come here to make a smart move that’d get Ivanna’s parents killed, or he’d come to submit himself.
It’s either one of the two, but Lissa is betting on the first one cos Leonardo doesn’t follow emotions like her …
He follows tactics and instincts.
They didn’t wait long. Three more minutes, Leonardo’s car screeched into the valley park, and Lissa spranged up when he entered.
Thaddeus and Padrino Marko are sitting in the same couch—a double couch, and Penny is sitting on the next couch to them.
Emma and Island are both behind Lissa, on their feet.
Leonardo entered like a king coming to save his entrapped captives, but the two men weren’t freaked, cos the closer he came, the less intimidating his walk became.
He came to a stop not far from Lissa, and Lissa held her breaths.
His eyes fell on the two men who’re still sitting, and Penny.
“I have an additional condition.” He spoke up finally, his voice filling the room up than the people.
“And what could that be?” Marko replied sharply.
“Let Felicia go, too.” Leonardo said.
“Suddenly grew an affection bone for your father’s wife?” Marko smirked, but Leonardo remained blank.
Marko looked at Thaddeus, and Thaddeus just smiled innocently.
Then…Marko picked up his phone and made a call to Thaddeus, telling him to go free his wife.
When he dropped the phone, he faced Leonardo.
“The moment you get married to Lissa tomorrow, Ivanna’s parents will be released too, but they’ll only be released to go home. They’ll be on house arrest and will be watched 24/7 with shackles to their ankles. Then, when you return from the honeymoon phase with your child in Lissa’s belly, they’ll be released completely.” Marko explained.
Leonardo’s jaws went gritted, again. The flashbacks of last night on the yacht intruded his head. The moans, bites, tongues, the laughter, freeness.
The recklessness.
And at the same time, Ivanna’s tears and the lies he has been telling her about the parents gave him whiplashes too.
He clenched his jaws tighter…
“Deal.”
Lissa smiled brightly, facing her maids behind her.
They returned her happy smile, then she faced her mother, and her father.
Their smiles are too wide, taking over their faces.
“To conquer!” Thaddeus raised one of the glasses on the table.
Marko remained seated, smiling.
Penny raised her glass, then Lissa.
“To conquer!”
—
[House Of Esposito, Next Morning~ Dungeon]
Anthony felt like he sold his son’s freedom for his wife’s release, and that’s why even though he received the order to release Felicia since last night, he couldn’t bring himself to.
But this morning, Marko made it compulsory for him to bring Felicia along to the wedding, so he had to come get her.
Yeah. The wedding.
The announcement has been rang around the estate since yesterday. Leonardo Esposito and Lissa Armando are getting married in a loveless way. Only for the purpose of breeding—giving a heir to The Outfit.
Anthony inserted the cell key into the hole, and Felicia spranged up from where she sat on the ground.
“I’m…out?” She hesitated.
“Leo bought your freedom, you should thank him when you get the chance,” Anthony replied.
“What! Wh..why? Why would Leo —”
“There’s no time to talk yet, Felly. You have to go clean up and prepare for the wedding.” Anthony said.
“Wedding?” Felicia received the second shock, but it didn’t settle deep before she followed Anthony out of the dungeon, and when they stepped out and she felt the outside air again, she had no time to appreciate it.
Cos she’s busy looking around. Everyone of the mobsters are dressed in red tuxes, or red dresses.
Red is the signature colour for the wedding.
She was too tied to speak, and she took a detour to her roses sanctuary. It has been destroyed completely.
No single rose or flower was spared. Marko ordered the destruction.
With a tight chest, she returned to the penthouse with Anthony to dress up.
—
The Citadel door opened at 8am, and Leonardo came out, dressed in his red suit. Bobby is behind him, wearing a red suit too but in a lighter shade. He was mandated to be Leonardo’s best man!
There’s no noticable change in Leonardo’s body.
His facial patches are still intact, the body plasters are there too. He didn’t touch up the hair.
He gave the Cooper siblings apartment a glance, and Bobby waited till he had his fill of the glance before he entered the car with his brother. They sat at the backseat.
The driver drove the car in the front, out of the estate.
As they’re driving away, Sandra and Bacardi are coming out of their respective Planet and Condo in their red dresses too.
They got in one car, driving off to the wedding.
Then…from the Cooper siblings apartment, Ivanna and her siblings came out, wearing red too.
Ivanna tied her hair up, a long ponytail, and her face is flat, pale. Her dress isn’t a noticable style, it’s just there to represent red.
Ginny glued herself beside her, and Tierney glued himself beside Robert who looks nervous.
Hilda and Nino are at the back.
They were packed in their cars—three per car, and they drove off too.
Thirty minutes later, Felicia and Anthony emerged from the penthouse.
They got in a car, hurriedly, and they were driven away.
It’s a procedural, official wedding, so it’s happening at the valley hall, right inside Padrino’s home.
—
[Crimson Cave, Monika’s Hall]
Monika’s laughter echoed though the hall, so loud and mocking and something out of the ordinary.
Like she’s laughing from the pit of her stomach, so it’s cracking, and her mouth is wide open.
“Aren’t The Outfit peeps so entertaining? I mean…”
She laughed again, placing an hand on the table in front of her.
“The hell? A wedding out of the blues? This is why I have to meet this Marko soon, he’s insane.”
“Someone can actually force Leonardo Esposito to do something? No, Marko deserves a trophy.”
She laughed for the third time, checking the report in front of her.
Leonardo agreed to the wedding only because of Ivanna’s parents.
“Seriously?” Monika looked up. “Don’t tell me the loveless Leo is actually in love with who?? Ivanna?”
She stood, coming out of her space. She climbed down her stairwell, her gown dragging the ground.
“I’ve only just added spice and still thinking I’d add more spice to our clashes, but this had to happen. I guess the heavens are on my side too, they have no reason to not be on my damn side.” She sighed, bringing out her locket to open.
She smiled as she stared at the man.
“Santos, you should watch from your grave, things are about to heat up.”
—
[Phoenix Valley, Dragon Hall]
Just as the ballroom is dedicated to ceremonies in the clan estate, this Dragon Hall is dedicated to ceremonies in this valley.
Dedicated to the wedding.
Only distinguished members of the clan attended, including the brigadiers, so there are just twenty-five people in the hall, all wearing red. That colour seemed to paint the hall completely.
Renata was mandated to stay beside Marko as a mother figure, and she looks planted as she stayed, holding the mother’s speech card.
Everyone is standing right now, and their eyes are on the front as Lissa and Leonardo made their entrance.
Emma is behind Lissa, sprinkling black flowers to the air and blessing the wedding with obsessive, deep grip of darkness.
Bobby is behind Leonardo, and he looks like he’s dead. He’s barely functioning.
Everyone followed protocol, all eyes are in the front, but Ivanna looked back just once, and that once, her eyes met with Leonardo’s.
She got flashbacks immediately. Flashbacks of the yacht. The groans, laughter, food. The orgasms.
She didn’t look at him for a second before quickly looking away.
Leonardo’s eyes met his father’s next, and Anthony looks too guilty to even look at him, so he looked away.
Leonardo focused back on the front. His hand that’s holding Lissa’s hand is barely holding on. Lissa is the one grabbing his hand very tight.
The silence proceeded till they got to the front where Renata and Marko are. Anthony was summoned to the front too, so he joined.
Thaddeus and Penny are the happiest here. Their smiles lighted up this hall, overtaking the gloominess from everyone else.
Marko handed the father’s card to Anthony, and he’s the first to open it, reading after clearing his throat…
“From The Outfit, To The Outfit. Sin over purity. Darkness over transparency. Legacy over life. I, the Don, Anthony Esposito, signs the undertaking, which expects The Outfit heir from Lissa Armando and Leonardo Esposito, ten months from now. In blood.”
After those words, he pricked his thumb with a needle and signed with his blood.
Then… Renata said the words too, acting as Vera. She signed in blood.
Thaddeus and Penny did the same, and Marko crowned it with his own undertaking. He thumbed too.
Lissa and Leonardo’s papers were drawn next.
Leonardo went first…
“From the empire, to the empire. Sin over purity. Darkness over transparency. Legacy over life. I, the Three In One, Leonardo Esposito, signs the undertaking, which expects The Outfit heir from Lissa Armando and me, ten months from now. In blood.”
He thumbed too.
Lissa was the last to thumb with her blood, and her smile was fresh as she placed her blood over his one.
Her br£asts popped in front of her cos her black wedding dress is V in the front, so all of her b00bs are almost out. She wore no bra, at all. Even under her dress, no panty.
She’s naked except for that dress.
When she raised her thumb from the document, she smiled again, having a quick flashback.
<Many Months Ago, Armando Mansion>
It’s a snowy morning—mid-january.
Lissa had slept late the night before.
She slept around 4am, and she woke up late too at 11am.
Her phone is in her hands when she rose from the bed. She even clutched it in her sleep, and when she sat up, it was the first thing she saw.
With a smile on her face, she adjusted the sleeve of her nightie and clicked on a number in her contacts.
The line is saved as ‘Mine’
She dialled, three times, but he’s not picking, so she frowned, lowering the phone from her ear.
“Is he still asleep?”
She clicked on text and began writing…
Lissa: Stanley, are you there? Don’t tell me you’re still…
That was all she could write before Penny entered her room.
“You should learn to knock!” Lissa groaned crankily.
“Don’t act like you’re hiding something in here. You obviously didn’t hear what’s going on in the clan estate. I guess you slept late again, only gawd knows who you’ve been chatting these days.” Penny replied, getting a headgear from Lissa’s closet.
She started rushing out.
“What’s going on?” Lissa came down from the bed.
“You really dunno? Leo’s most trusted guard tried to kill him this morning around 5am, and he was caught, interrogated in the Sinners Assembly, but he refused to talk, so Leo angrily ordered your father to burn him to ashes on the water bridge.” Penny replied hastily and rushed out.
Lissa stood there even after the door closed, reprocessing what she just heard very well.
Leo’s most trusted…guard?
Stanley?
“Stan..ley?”
“Stanley!!” She shouted.
“Stanley!!!!!!!” She screamed madly, running out of her room and rushing down the staircase.
She fell and rolled to the base, but she stood and pushed the concerned maids out of her way.
She ran out barefoot, jumping in the first car she opened in the park. She drove roughly out of the mansion, her legs shaking on the gas and her hands trembling on the wheel.
But she was already late.
When she got to the bridge, a large crowd of citizens has converged there, watching the show.
Stanley is already on fire—not a fresh fire. Seems it has been burning for over an hour cos he’s already on the ground, black and unrecognizable.
Lissa’s hand clutched her mouth, and hot tears rushed out of her eyes, entering her mouth.
She tasted salt, tasted bitterness, tasted anguish. All in one.
“Stanley adored you, Leo. Stanley adored you. He wouldn’t have tried to kill you just like that. He had no motivation! He had none!!!”
She was slamming herself on the car seat as she screamed the words.
“I shared him with you, Leo. You always had an errand or two to send him, and he left me halfway through s+x a lotta times just to go answer to you! He left me on edge so many times for you and always spoke highly of you! You could have spared him! You could have spared my Stanley!!!” She wailed, slamming her own head on the wheel.
She bled from her forehead, and as fire burned Stanley on the bridge, fire burned in her eyes too.
She couldn’t bare to watch further, so she drove back home, still full of shock, full of disbelief.
As she came out of the car and walked back into her room, she looked lifeless.
She picked up her phone from the bed and sat at the foot of her bed, scrolling through her gallery.
There are only pictures of the two of them there. Stanley’s gentle smile, his calm face, the handsomeness.
She bursted into bitter tears again.
They’ve kept their relationship a secret from everyone including Leonardo, including her parents.
They kept the secret from the mob entirely, so now that he’s gone, she can only cry secretly, wail in closed spaces like this.
She didn’t come out of that room for three whole days no matter the begging and shouting from her mother and father.
She cried, starved, grieved… alone.
But she has a resolution.
Stanley can’t just die in vain.
The one who killed him will have to take his place and continue from where Stanley stopped.
Leonardo. Leonardo is hers from now on. Nothing can take him.
<Present Time>
Lissa’s eyes met with Leonardo’s empty ones on that alter as he inserted the ring into her finger, and she kept her smile sweet and big as she picked the second ring and inserted it into her finger too.
‘Stanley, I finally got him. I got him.’ she thought, chuckling.
The moment Leonardo took his hand from her, she raised her arms to his shoulders, and she went in for a kiss.
Leonardo stayed rooted, till her lips met his own.
In the middle of the guests, Ivanna’s face went down, and her hands grabbed her dress on a knot.
She held it tight, trembling, not daring to look up at all.
Hilda took her hand, holding it tight like a mother who cares
Ivanna looked at her, and Hilda smiled warmly.
“Don’t watch, lest it hurts too much.” She muttered.
Ivanna kept her eyes on the woman’s, and Leonardo returned Lissa to her feet after one second of the kiss.
The kiss is the last part of the conjugation, so Marko
ushered the couple out of the hall…
To the airfield.
Yeah…the valley is unimaginably extensive, so there’s an illegal airstrip at the back property like a private cargo landing ground.
There, sat a single bombardier jet.
As they’re walking to the jet, Erica and Leroy Cooper were ushered out of the dungeon by the guards.
“Mum!” Ginny saw them first.
“Dad!” Robert joined.
“Mum! Dad!” Ivanna emotionally rasped, running towards the two with her siblings.
The two look too bad. Their condition isn’t pleasant at all.
They even smell of cow dung and filth. They reek.
Ivanna and her siblings didn’t mind.
Erica fell in her arms, and Leroy fell in Robert’s arms.
“Why did they do them like this?” Ginny cried loudly.
Tierney, Hilda and Nino are with them, but the rest are at the field.
Lissa and Leonardo are on board already, and in no time, the jet hit the runway, taking off shortly.
As the jet rose slightly above them, Lissa threw her shoes out of the window, and the heels landed on Ivanna’s head before the jet disappeared into the higher clouds.
Off to Paris.
TBC.

It’s alright. Just breathe…”Panic surged through her chest, but her body refused to respond. She could only watch, helpless, as he leaned in, pressing his lips to the sensitive skin of her neck. The heat of his mouth sent a shiver racing down her spine, and a flash of panic and confusion consumed her. Then he began undressing her… his hands moving with a possessive slowness that made her heart hammer against her ribs.He pulled the sleek silver gown from her shoulders, the fabric whispering as it slid down her paralyzed arms and pooled at her waist, leaving her bra and her extreme vulnerability exposed to his gaze. She was utterly helpless and unable to pull the gown back up.His eyes, usually filled with that familiar warm amusement, were now dark with a chilling devotion. He ran the back of his hand slowly down the curve of her jaw, moving a loose strand of hair from her face.“Aurora, you can’t tell me you don’t know about my likeness for you” he murmured, his breath warm against her ear.“I have for a very long time, since the first time I saw you. I hated the day you told me you had a crush on Matteo. I hated it”His fingers tightened slightly on her arm. “I hate the fact that you’re even married to him! You’re mine, Feather”He leaned closer.“My love for you increased the day you came crying in the underground gym because your father compared you to Valentina and called you weak and useless”That word ‘weak’ snapped something in Aurora’s mind, pulling her back to that day.FLASHBACK*The rough, cold stones of the underground gym felt impossibly far away. Thirteen-year-old Aurora stumbled in, the remnants of her father’s cruel words echoing in the silence. He had just finished comparing her to her older sister, Valentina, calling Aurora “weak” and “useless” a fragile thing not fit for the Bellanti name. She sank on the worn leather bench, burying her face in her hands, the sobs escaping her small body in shuddering waves.Enzo, then fourteen and already her personal driver, was silently practicing blade forms in the corner. He stopped instantly when he heard her cry. He’d been working for the family since he was just a boy, but he had never seen the Boss’s daughter cry like this.He cautiously approached her, his own movements quiet.“Hey, Rory,” he whispered, his voice uncharacteristically soft. He gently touched her shoulder. “What did they say?”Aurora lifted her tear-streaked face. “He said I’m weak. That I’m not strong like Valentina. I’ll never be useful”Enzo looked at her, his dark eyes filling with a fierce protectiveness that transcended his servant status. He knelt down to meet her gaze. “You’re not weak, Rory,” he said, taking a small, almost weightless feather that had dropped from a training dummy’s stuffing and placing it in her hand. “You’re just not hard yet”He curled her small fingers around the feather. “Do you know what a feather is? It’s light. It bends. But it can float above everything, and it can move faster than anyone expects. You’re my little feather”“And I promise you this, Feather, I will teach you every single thing I know. I will make you so sharp, so fast, that your father will never, ever be able to call you weak again”From that day forward, when she was thirteen and they began their secret training, he called her Feather.END OF FLASHBACK*The memory shattered like glass, pulling Aurora violently back to the present. The metallic scent of blood seemed to fill the air, though none had been shed, only the bloody scent of betrayal.Enzo was no longer the boy who had promised to protect her from weakness. He was the one inflicting it.He smiled down at her, the triumphant smile of a victor claiming his prize.“See, Feather? I never forgot that promise. And now… I can finally keep you safe. Safe with me” Enzo finished.Aurora remained locked in her paralyzed prison, her eyes the only part of her that still obeyed burned with a silent, ferocious hatred. The man before her was not the Enzo she knew. The realization was a fresh, sharp stab of agony.Enzo stood, his expression satisfied. He pulled a heavy silk sash from the bedside table and began to bind her wrists to the back of the chair.“Don’t worry,” he murmured, adjusting the knot. “The drug will wear off in a few hours. You’ll be comfortable, and we’ll have a long, long time to talk”He paused, glancing at his watch. “But first, I need to make sure Matteo gets the message”He picked up her clutch from the floor, pulled out her phone, and held it up to her face. With chilling calmness, he positioned the camera to read her immobilized features. The screen flashed green, granting him access. He had her phone.Moving quickly, he opened the messaging app and drafted a brief text to Matteo.*Don’t bother finding me. I just want to be alone. He pressed send, waited half a second for the confirmation, and then, before Aurora could even register the full weight of the deception, he powered the phone off.Enzo pocketed the useless device.“There,” he said, smiling down at her. “That should buy us a few hours before the monster realizes his little wife didn’t actually run away”He then turned back to Aurora, his eyes roaming over her exposed shoulders and the fabric of her bra. His smile grew cold and predatory. He knelt, his fingers reaching for the clasp.“Now, where were we, Feather?” he whispered.Just as his fingertips brushed the fabric strap—KNOCK. KNOCK. KNOCK.The sudden, loud rap on the heavy wooden door startled him.Enzo froze, his eyes snapping to the door.“Merda!” He cursed softly, a low Italian epithet. He’d forgotten that he ordered a late snack and a bottle of high-end scotch right before Aurora arrived. He glanced at Aurora, who was still tied and exposed. Quick decision-making kicked in. He couldn’t risk the room service attendant seeing her in that state.“Stay put” he commanded, though the order was laughably redundant. He grabbed the heavy duvet from the bed, tossing it over Aurora with a speed that belied his earlier slow movements, completely covering her and the chair. He then smoothed his shirt, checked the door’s peephole, and unlocked the deadbolt.Enzo opened the door just wide enough to block the attendant’s view of the room. A uniformed man stood there, holding a silver tray covered by a pristine cloth.“Room service for 807, sir. Your late-night delivery”“Perfect timing” Enzo said, forcing a casual tone. He quickly took the tray, handing over a generous tip without making eye contact.“Enjoy your evening, sir”“I plan to” Enzo replied, a dark smirk playing on his lips as the door was locked and bolted once more.He leaned against the heavy wood for a moment, listening until the attendant’s footsteps faded. He had barely wasted thirty seconds, but the momentum of his violation had been broken.Enzo walked back to the center of the room, pulling the duvet off Aurora. Her eyes, still filled with rage, met his.“Just a minor delay, Feather,” he said, picking up the scotch from the tray. He poured a drink, his hand steady. “Now, where were we?”He raised the glass to her, his smile chillingly triumphant. The ringtone shattered the charged silence. Enzo’s brows knit in irritation as he fished his phone from his pocket.“Yes?” he muttered, answering.A clipped voice spoke on the other end. “Sir, your express delivery from yesterday has just arrived. You requested to receive it personally at the lobby”Enzo exhaled sharply, jaw clenching. “Now? It couldn’t wait five minutes?”“I’m afraid it’s perishable content, sir. The courier insists”He ended the call with a terse curse under his breath. For a long moment, he stood still, his knuckles whitening around the glass of scotch. Then he turned back to Aurora. Her eyes followed him, silent and burning fury.“Will be right back, Feather,” he said at last, forcing a calmness he didn’t feel. “Seems the universe enjoys interrupting me tonight”He set the glass down on the bedside table and walked to her, crouching so his eyes were level with hers. His hand hovered near her cheek but didn’t touch. Instead, he leaned forward and pressed a kiss to her forehead.“I’ll be right back” he murmured.“Don’t go anywhere, you can’t anyway”He rose, straightened his jacket, and headed for the door. With one last glance at her bound form, he locked it from the outside. The echo of his footsteps faded down the hall, leaving Aurora in suffocating silence.Down in the lavish, marble-floored lobby of Le Monarch Hotel, Enzo accepted his large, customized luggage from the courier. He signed quickly, his eyes darting toward the elevators. The brief trip had already cut into his precious time with Aurora. He turned toward the elevator bank, and he pressed the button for the eighth floor and waited, tapping his foot impatiently. The elevator doors slid open, and he stepped inside, his dark thoughts already returning to the suite. When he reached Room 807, he inserted his keycard, expecting the tell-tale double click of the main lock and the heavy thud of the deadbolt. But there was only a single, quiet click.Enzo froze, his heart slamming against his ribs. The deadbolt was unlocked. He pulled his key out, his hand shaking. Had he forgotten? He distinctly remembered sliding the heavy bolt.He pulled his pistol from the waistband beneath his jacket. He kicked the door inward. The room was silent. The silk sash lay cut and discarded on the floor by the chair. The heavy, wooden chair stood empty, pushed slightly off-center.“Aurora!” Enzo roared, his voice cracking with disbelief and rising panic. He swept the room, checking the bathroom, the closet, and the balcony.Gone.He spun back to the center of the room. Her clutch lay on the counter and his glass of scotch sat untouched.Nothing was missing except her.Enzo stared at the empty chair, the silent witness to his catastrophic failure. He had built her cage, promised to keep her safe, and in less than five minutes, she had flown away.He knew then that she hadn’t escaped the paralysis on her own. Someone else had been here.Matteo!?•••BACK AT THE GALA*The soft jazz played on, oblivious to the simmering tension. It had been over an hour since Aurora had left the corner table for the restroom, and now, Matteo, was also conspicuously absent.Maya was slumped slightly in her chair, working hard on her fourth glass of ruby-red wine. The alcohol hadn’t dulled the sting of Ace’s earlier rejection, but it had made her reckless.Scarlett and Rosa sat nearby, watching the flow of guests while keeping a casual eye on her.Blade swaggered over to the table, followed closely by Storm and Axe.“Have any of you seen the Boss?” Axe asked before Blade could.Scarlett shrugged, her gaze fixed on the crowd near the champagne tower.“We haven’t seen him”“His phone went to voicemail” Storm added, checking his own device.Just then, Ace appeared, striding quickly toward the table, his chest rising and falling heavily as though he’d sprinted up several flights of stairs. His normally cold, controlled demeanor was replaced by visible alarm.“We can’t find Boss’s wife too” Ace stated, his voice clipped and strained. He looked directly at Maya. “You were the last one with her”The mention of Aurora’s disappearance was a bucket of ice water. Maya instantly sobered. She pushed her chair back, the wine-fueled haze vanishing in a rush of dread.“What do you mean, ‘can’t find her’? She told me she was visiting the restroom. She said she’d be right back”“She left the building,” Ace ground out, running a hand over his tired eyes. “The staff saw a woman matching her description leave through a service exit one hour and some minutes ago. No one saw who picked her up”“She wouldn’t do that,” Rosa interjected, looking from Ace to Maya. “Not without telling someone or boss”Before the team could descend into a full-blown panic, Ace’s phone buzzed with an urgent text message. He snatched it up, reading the screen as the others clustered in anticipation.Ace looked up, his face a mask of conflict and confusion. He read the message aloud, his voice flat with disbelief.“Everyone should go home. I have it handled myself”The text was from Matteo.A stunned silence fell over the small group.“Handled what?” Blade finally broke the silence, his jaw dropping. “His wife goes missing, and we’re supposed to go home?”“It’s his number,” Ace confirmed, staring at the message as if the phone would spontaneously combust. “But it doesn’t make any damn sense”Viper sashayed over, having overheard the last sentence.“When has the Boss ever made sense when his little lamb is involved?” she drawled, though her eyes were serious.“If he says go home, he means he’s gone nuclear, and he wants no witnesses”The team exchanged grim, knowing looks.“I knew this was going to happen” Bianca scoffed, throwing her hands up in exasperation as she joined them.“We came here on a mission, and now his stupid wife decides to be the star, making everyone focus on her, and we forgot what we came to do”Her gaze swept over the worried faces, landing dismissively on the empty table where Aurora had sat.“Why is she suddenly going missing? She just wants attention on her, and now Boss has gone for her,” Bianca spat, her voice dripping with venomous jealousy. “She has no respect for the Family, no respect for the operation!”Maya, still sobered and terrified, finally snapped. Her own tumultuous relationship with Ace and her fear for her brother’s wife boiled over.“Shut up, Bianca,” Maya hissed, pushing forward. “You’re just mad because you’re useless on a mission, you couldn’t even make Nicholas fall for you, and Matteo left the building without giving you a second glance!”Bianca’s eyes narrowed dangerously. “At least I know my place, Maya. Unlike the little tramp who has to screw a guy just to feel important, then cries when he calls her a mistake”Before the verbal sparring could turn physical, Ace stepped between them, his hand gripping Maya’s arm hard enough to stop her lunge.“Enough!” Ace roared, his voice low and carrying the absolute authority. “This isn’t a damn parlor game. The Boss gave an order. We followHe looked at the others.“We leave this gala now” Ace commanded.Blade shook his head, his usual grin completely gone. “And what if he needs backup, Ace? We’re just going to sit there?”Ace’s jaw was tight. “If he needs us, he knows how to call us. Until then, we trust the Boss knows what he’s doing and besides he can handle whatever it is on his own!”He looked once more at the exit, his conflicted emotions clear.Vixen was watching them from afar, his eyes solely on Ace.•••The first sensation Aurora registered was the impossible softness beneath her back. The paralysis was gone, replaced by a dull, throbbing ache and the overwhelming sensation of sluggishness. She blinked her eyes open, struggling to focus on the unfamiliar, opulent surroundings. She wasn’t in Le Monarch Hotel. She was in a room draped in velvet and silk, illuminated by soft, expensive lighting. She lay on a large bed, covered by a rich silk duvet. Her body felt heavy, but she could move. She cautiously flexed her fingers, then her toes. The drug had worn off entirely. She was free of the chemical vise, but she was definitely not free.A deep wave of disorientation hit her. She sat up, clutching the duvet to her chest, her mind racing to piece together the events: Enzo, the betrayal, the paralysis… and then nothing. The door to the room clicked open, and a man walked in.He was tall, with light, penetrating eyes and a confident, easy demeanor. He held a silver tray with a glass of water.Aurora felt a strange jolt of familiarity. She was sure she’d seen him before, perhaps recently, but her memory was still clouded. He smiled. “Good, you’re awake. You needed the rest after all that”Aurora instinctively pulled the duvet tighter. She tried to speak, but her throat felt raw and unused. Her hands searched the bedside table for something, anything, to write with. She found a pen and a small notepad. She scrawled two words and held the pad out to him.“WHO ARE YOU?”He walked to the bedside, set the tray down, and picked up the notepad, reading her question.“My name is Nicholas,” he replied. He leaned closer, his light eyes fixed on hers. “And we will be getting married soon”Aurora’s eyes widened instantly in shock, and then a fierce frown creased her brow. She frantically snatched the notepad and pen, scribbling three furious words this time.“DELUCA? NICHOLAS DELUCA?”Before Nicholas could confirm her sinking realization, the door opened again. A man stepped into the room, a figure of cold, imposing authority. Antonio DeLuca.Antonio surveyed Aurora with a calculating look.“Is that her, Nicholas? The lady you want to marry?” Antonio asked, his voice a low rumble.“Yes, Father” Nicholas confirmed, stepping slightly aside.Antonio walked to the foot of the bed, his presence suffocating. “Welcome home, my beautiful daughter-in-law” He paused, a terrifying sense of finality in his words.“The wedding will be scheduled next week on Saturday”Aurora stared at the two men, utterly speechless. It keeps getting worse.••TBC😈 -

[Chicago, Hellfire Brothel]
Bobby planned to drown himself with alcohol till he’d forget little from his sadness, but it’s ineffective.
If anything, he’s getting sadder.
He has been in this brothel since he left Anthony’s Office last night. He got here even before Christmas fireworks blew the sky at 12am.
He had sniffed several wraps of dru&s, and the space below his nose has stains of different colours — red, yellow, green and white, all from the drugs he inhaled.
His laughter rang through the walls of the brothel like a singsong, there’s tears in his eyes.
Wendy didn’t cheat on him. She was set up—dru&ged. He caught her, and he had plans to marry her and punish her, but she was accidentally killed in the wedding ballroom.
Even after her death, he kept her body and tortured her in his Suite, he tortured her on the estate dark road. He even brought her body to this clubhouse to beat and disgrace.
He let out a laughter of regret, and the tears hung below his eyeballs as his head swung back. A bottle of beer pressed his lips, and he drained everything before crashing the bottle on the ground.
He held his head, dragging it tight till several strands of his hair pulled out to his palm. His scalp bled.
“Wen….Dy….” He muttered, taking off his shoes.
He doesn’t even know know what he’s doing anymore. Normally, his tolerance for drug is much. He might sniff a mix of ten different drugs and his highness won’t last ten minutes, but it’s different tonight.
He’s crazy already.
His shoes went off his feet, and he started roaming around in a circle. His bare feet got stabbed by the pieces of broken bottle on the ground. He didn’t care.
Even when his feet started bleeding, he continued his barefoot walk, grabbing another pack of the drug.
The courtesans just sat around the brothel, watching him.
No one dared go closer to him. Bobby would kill without a reason at all, so now that he’s acting mad, it’s better to stay clear of him.
He unwrapped the dru& paper—velkrona, and he was about to sniff it when the topper of the mobsters from the warehouse came over.
He held Bobby’s two hands, shaking the paper away.
“Mister Bob, you can’t inhale more, you’re at risk of entering the psych ward at this point. Please…”
Bobby’s yellow eyes rounded his eye sockets, but he didn’t even look at the mobster in front of him.
He stared into space.
“He killed her… Wendy…. He set her up, she died, and I tortured her dead body!!!! I did…it …” Bobby muttered.
He broke free from the mobster and finally looked at him.
“My granddad…he killed her, literally.” He muttered, his tears finally rolling down his jaw.
He drank from the beer bottle, staggering sideways as he looked for his way out of the brothel.
He fell by the door, and the beer bottle he’s holding broke. The shards entered his palm, and the palm started bleeding like his foot.
The topper mobster quickly ran over to help him him.
“I don’t need help!” Bobby pushed him, standing on his own.
He was toppling on his toes as he left the brothel.

[House Of Esposito, Hilda’s Apartment]
“Merry Christmas, buddies!” Tierney shouted, pouring a bunch of red envelopes on the table.
He gave Hilda her envelope first, then Ginny, then Nino and Robert who’re also present.
He kept Ivanna’s envelope in his pocket, intending to give her when she comes back from Britain.
Everyone began opening their envelopes…one after the other.
“You gave me ten dollars?” Hilda smiled, counting.
“You deserve it,” Tierney winked.
“Eight dollars?” Ginny blinked.
“You’re my closest, so you don’t have to say thank you!” Tierney replied proudly, and Ginny scoffed, fanning herself with the dollar notes.
“Five dollars?” Nino and Robert chorused.
“What? You both are like my big brothers, so….” Tierney shrugged.
“This boy….” Nino pointed a finger at him, and he laughed.
“How much did you put in Ivanna’s envelope?” Ginny asked.
“I was just about to ask that!” Robert added, spreading his palm.
“Why would I give you my big sissy’s envelope to check?” Tierney shifted back, and Hilda nearly snatched Ivanna’s envelope from his pocket.
He shifted to another angle.
“Don’t be nosy!” He said dramatically, and Hilda laughed, picking a glass of mimosa from the table.
Everyone picked their glasses too.
“I can’t believe I used to buy the fake mimosa drink when I was still at home cos the real one was too expensive, who knew I’d get to drink the real mimosa in here? My favorite drink!” Ginny squealed.
“Merry Christmas!!” They all chorused, clinked glasses and drank.
“When is food gonna be ready at the estate kitchen? I’m starving…” Tierney held his tummy.
“Glutton, I’ll go check.” Hilda replied and left the apartment.
“Am I the only one happy that Ghost isn’t around? I even heard the Padrino isn’t in the country presently too. No wonder this Christmas feels peaceful and sweet!” Ginny jumped.
“I understand your fear of the Padrino—I’m scared of that mad man too, but Ghost? Fine, he’s a mad man too, but I think he’s got the hots for your sister, so don’t get scared. Instead, start thinking of ways to bill him. He’s loaded!” Tierney said.
“What do you mean? He doesn’t look like someone who’d ever love a woman, and besides, I don’t want such devilish man who shot me for my Anna. Even our parents would disagree, trust me” Ginny shrugged, drinking gently from her mimosa.
“Does it matter? I think your sister is feeling him too. That race to his Citadel yesterday was insane.” Tierney whispered.
Ginny pushed his head back.
“Can you stop talking about my sis? Let’s play a little game,” Ginny set her cup on the table, taking her laptop.
“You finally finished developing your new game?” Tierney sat with her on the ground, taking his own laptop on the table too.
“Of course, let’s see if you’d beat me in my own game or if you’d be able to hack this!” She winked.
She shared the game with him, and they started their crazy competition again, the sound of their fingers on laptop keys so fast.
Robert and Nino are across, both holding their cups with an hand and their second hands in their pockets.
“You said you saw your ex at the Toga club? And cos of that, you aborted your mission?” Nino talked.
“It wasn’t really aborted, but Miss Bacardi left before we could even start,” Robert clarified.
“Or…she left immediately Alexa arrived?” Nino said suspiciously.
“Fine, that’s it, but why would she leave? Not like I was gonna start kissing Alexa right in front of her.” Robert blinked.
“Wait…you still in love with your rich ex?” Nino faced him.
“Are you crazy? No! Why would I still be? I’m not, but Alexa is kind, or was kind when we were dating, so now.. destroying her father’s cartel feels wrong.” Robert explained.
Nino placed an hand on his shoulder.
“Look, in this place, you have to be ready to betray even your own family for the mob and kill your friends for the benefit of the empire. Meet up with Miss Bacardi, talk it out with her and schedule another day for the mission cos if the Padrino comes back and the mission is still incomplete…..”
Nino squeezed Robert’s shoulder at this point.
“I know, I’ll settle things.” Robert said, already going for the door.
“About Ivanna,” Nino said.
Robert turned.
“Hilda told me you said something about—”
“Calling Ivanna my big sis?” Robert cut him off.
Nino nodded.
“Cos she’s really my senior. She’s 27, I’m 24.” Robert said.
“She’s older than me too! Then why are you making everyone believe you’re the senior?” Nino gasped.
“It’s a long story, Nino.” Robert replied and stepped out.

[Bacardi’s Planet]
Bacardi’s strip men are back. The neon lights, the loud music, the sin.
Nakedness and Wildness.
She wore a really small jacket on top of her bra, and a micro skirt which she opened the zip in the front, so her underwear is showing.
She held two cigarettes together between her left fingers, and smokes followed her around the Planet as she strolled, checking out the n+ked dancing males.
“Your arse is hard! It’s not bouncing!” She laughed as her palm smacked the male’s @s$ soundly.
She lifted the dî+k of another one, bouncing it on her palm. She squeezed the balls.
“Mm, Impressive.”
She lifted the chin of the next one and poured raw lime water inside till it leaked off his lips.
When raw lime finished in that bottle, she went to the bar for another bottle, but the door opened, and Robert stepped inside.
She stopped what she was doing and came to him, blocking his way.
“You still have the keycard? I thought I took it from you?” She glared.
Robert pushed her aside and walked in fully, punching the music player.
The music stopped, and he had a deep intake of the smoky air before facing the strippers.
“Fly,” he ordered.
They exchanged glances, then they looked at Bacardi, waiting for what she has to say.
She said nothing.
“Fly away!” Robert shouted, his voice getting deeper… resonating.
They all scurried around to gather their clothes, and they rushed out of the Planet.
Then… Robert faced Bacardi.
“What are you doing here?” She questioned, expression unfriendly.
“You’re not easy to deal with, and it just gets exhausting everytime. Now the strippers are back in your planet? You’re making contacts with them and even—”
“Please. You don’t see me complaining when you were being touchy-touchy with the Alexa wench last night, and now you’re here to rant?” She intruded.
“It’s basic social skill to hug friends whom you haven’t seen for a long time!” He shouted.
“She’s not a friend! She’s your ex, the rich ex you told me about!” She yelled back, her jacket slipping off her shoulders to hand on her mid-arms.
Jealousy razed her eyes down, she was trembling with it.
Robert scoffed.
“Last night, we were supposed to be staying away from each other. Last night, I was supposed to be avoiding you and calling you Miss like you wanted, but that same last night, I hugged my ex and you blew up? You left me at the club and I had to come back to the estate in a f+kin taxi!”
“You made these rules, I followed them, and somehow, I’m still the one in the wrong? Maybe my ex would be a better option after all. “You are reading from www.mhiztaemy.com.ng” Alexa isn’t a problematic freak like you who won’t even admit to her damn mistakes! Fûck you, Cardi!”
Robert angrily kicked the stool standing in front of him and waltzed towards the door, fast.
Bacardi’s arms fell, eyes slightly wide.
She heard everything he said, but the most important one to her is the last word…. Cardi.
He called her Cardi.
“Rob,” she called.
Robert didn’t turn.
“Rob! Rob!”
She rushed after him, her steps overtaking the last.
“Rob!”
He already opened the door when she got to him, but she pushed the door close, and she hugged him from behind, tightly. Her arms claimed him wholly.
Her nails were almost digging into his tummy as they both stilled.
“I know I did wrong, and I know I was being a bîtch for wanting to push the blames on you. I really told you the ‘stay away’ line only because I was scared of what my granddad might do to you, and I didn’t want you to get hurt, but in the whirlpool of it, I realized it was a mistake. You really stayed away, and I had to start snooping around you like a fool just to catch a glimpse. Rob, I’m not using you for cruise, believe me. I fancy you, which is why I’ve been—”
She stopped talking cos Robert wanted to unclamp her fingers from his tummy. She tightened it.
“I won’t run away,” he replied softly, and she eventually let go.
He faced her, and she drove her face to the ground in shame.
With the curve of his fingers, Robert lifted her face.
When their eyes met, she looks heavily guilty, and that was enough for him. His anger subsided.
“I’m strong enough to protect myself if danger pops up. Yes, I’m scared-stiff of your granddad too, but even at that, I don’t want to give you up, Cardi. I won’t” He whispered.
She went silent, and slowly, the guiltiness was replaced by a pretty smile which carved her pointed chin.
Silence hung between them, the only connection being her hand on his sweatshirt and his own on her chin.
“So…. Is this the part where you kiss me? I’ve never been kissed and I badly want to exper—”
Robert’s lips were faster than her words, and her hand on his sweatshirt tightened when she felt it on hers, hard and right.
It felt right. It felt hers. Personal.
She kissed him, followed his pace, replicated his style. She learned the art of sharing through lips.
Robert’s hands pulled her jacket from her mid-arms out of her arms completely. He threw it.
He pulled her br@ straps out of the br@, destroying the pins and hooks. Her br@ fell off her body.
The lace material was easy to get his hands on, and her bottom lip was still inside his mouth when he glanced at her chest, breathlessly.
His eyes got caught in the moderate sizes. The way they’re already trembling for him. The way they’re temptingly succulent.
His eyes went back to hers, and her back pressed against the wall, her breaths mixing with his grunt.
“Can I touch?” He whispered, his eyes seeking hers as if the answer is written in the balls.
“They’re all yours, Rob. Don’t hold back. Punish me for saying that to you…” She gave him his reply.
He picked her br@ strap from the ground and tied the two together, making it longer, then he used the double straps to bind her wrists together, behind her.
He went down in front of her and pulled down her micro skirt.
No panty, so her n+kedne$s greeted his eyes, especially the p+×xy hiding between her thick thighs.
He took an handkerchief out of his pocket and wrapped it around her mouth, tying it tight.
He pushed her once, and her body met the door roughly. He tightly trapped her there, the gag on her mouth and her tied hands gave her the look of a kidnapped refugee.
Her body shook with wild anticipation, her eyes blinked helplessly—at his mercy.
Robert zipped down his trousers, now left in his boxers.
He didn’t lower the boxers, he just held his c+k with the boxers. The longness showed as the shape was carved out through the boxer fabric.
“I am going to tease you with this wrapped c+k, and you’re going to cry for me to f+k you,” he said, as if giving her the needed introduction.
Bacardi just blinked since talking or touching him is impossible.
Then…he moved.
He placed the boxer-wrapped c+k on her p+×xy, rubbing it from the low slit up to the top of her l@bia.
His second hand slightly brushed her br+àsts before he moved the wrapped d+k from the base to the top of her p+xxy again.
He held eyes with her as the third move happened, and when he saw a bead of wetness crawling out of her opening, he smiled harshly.
Bacardi wants to scream, wants to touch, wants to spread her legs for more feel of him, wants to tell him to just unwrap his d+k and f+k her straight, but she couldn’t.
Her tied mouth is painful.
This is why he called this a punishment, cos there’s a limit to the pleasure. He’s edging her intentionally.
She begged with her eyes, but he wickedly continued his rubs.
By the twentieth rub, her wetness already soaked his boxers tip.
Her legs were shaking, her saliva soaked the handkerchief on her mouth. She let out tears.
“I love your tears, strangely. Cry for me, Cardi.” Robert smiled, caressing her br+àsts with the back of his hand while doing the 21st rub on her cl1+.

[Estate Dungeon]
Since the Padrino isn’t in the country, Don Anthony took it as an opportunity to bring food to Felicia.
He brought a full tray from the kitchen and came here discreetly, set the tray down in front of the cell.
He’s currently feeding her, and Felicia is struggling to take every bite of the pecan pie.
“If anyone told me we’d be celebrating Christmas like this, I’d have denied it.” She said.
Anthony halted the feeding.
“And if anyone told me I’d die after Christmas, I’d deny it too.” She continued.
“You’re not dying, Felly. I would have taken you out of here now that Marko isn’t around, but he has networks around this country and the countries we’d have ran to. My whole life is built on his empire, so I can’t even run unless he says so, but don’t worry, I have help.” He said.
“Help from where?” Felicia asked.
“You don’t have to worry about that, but just know I have help, and once Marko returns, you’ll get out of here.” Anthony said.
He inserted straw into the bottled water and passed the straw into the cell so she’d drink.
She was still drinking when Sandra entered the dungeon.
Anthony stood from where he sat on the bare ground.
“How did you know I was here?”
“Before Leo left, he asked me to keep an eye on you so you won’t make the wrong move, and I’ve been doing that, so yes… I’d know.” Sandra shrugged, giving Felicia a glance inside her cell.
Anthony smiled smoothly. “Why are you here though?”
“The Armandos are here, taking their money from the vault, but they’re claiming their money is incomplete, short by a billion.” Sandra said.
“What!” Anthony frowned.
“How could that happen? The vault is the most secured place in this estate, how could a billion go missing?” Felicia said.
Sandra said nothing anymore, so Anthony rushed out of the dungeon.
Sandra wanted to follow him, but Felicia quickly talked.
“I’m sorry I didn’t turn out to be the mother you wanted. I promise I was only blinded by my love for Island and my loyalty to Penny, but now I know better.” She said.
“No, it’s fine, Felicia.” Sandra nodded, and Felicia held the cell metals tight.
Felicia, not mother.
“You only just showed that no one can be mum. Mum might be heartless, but she’s still mum, and she was only heartless to Leo. You can never replace her.” Sandra finished her statement and left.
Felicia sat on the prison ground, the food suddenly felt bitter in her stomach.

[Vault Building]
When Don Anthony arrived there, it’s indeed as Sandra said.
A billion is missing from the money. The counting machine never lies, so he’s seeing the shortness of one billion very clearly.
Penny and Thaddeus are with the truck, and they’re both staring daggers at him.
If looks could murder.
“How do you explain this, Don Anthony?” Thaddeus said, picking a cigar box from his wife’s handbag.
He picked a cigar and was trying to put fire on it when Anthony talked…
“The vault is the most guarded place in this estate, it has never been—”
“Where is my one billion, Anthony Coker?” Thaddeus cut him off.
He already put fire on his cigar, so he took a large drag and gave his wife the remaining pack.
“The Cooper siblings entered this clan some months ago only because they wanted to steal that money. They must have stolen it after all,” he said.
“No! After they tried to steal it, the vault formation was hardened, so there’s no way they’d have stolen it!” Don Anthony defended.
Penny threw the cigar pack with her away and came to Anthony’s face, swinging her hand to his face.
She slapped him.
Anthony’s eyes widened, and Thaddeus cracked a laughter behind, the smokes from his mouth curling in the air in front of his face.
“Right now, you’re just a Don by title… nothing more cos the Padrino has taken all power from you and you can’t even spend a cent from the estate accounts without his permission. Also, you still have to repay the billions Monika sucked from the account in your wife’s name. Where are you gonna see that? Cos even your account is in the Padrino’s care now and you also can’t spend from there without his permission. How are you gonna pay our money back!” She demanded.
When Anthony was taking too long to reply, she raised her hand on him again, but the man pushed her off before she could slap him.
Seeing that, Thaddeus barged forward, wanting to punch Anthony to death, but Sandra joined the gathering, covering her father.
Thaddeus stopped.
“What were you going to do? Hit him?” Sandra’s eyes blazed.
Thaddeus stepped back.
“I know you grew battalion wings since you became the top brigadier and granddad made you his most trusted man, but take classes on how to flap those wings and don’t do it around my dad!” Sandra said.
“Aren’t you too pathetic right now, Anthony?” Thaddeus grinned.
“You now hide under the protection of your kids, how shameful…”
“You can’t blame him…the son of sheepfold owners have no dignity to uphold.” Penny supported.
“Five days, and that’s me being generous. You have five days to refund the one billion.” Thaddeus said threateningly.
The five trucks carrying their money drove out of the estate first, then Thaddeus and Penny drove after the trucks in their phantom.
“Dad…” Sandra faced Anthony.
“You have an idea who might be behind the stolen money?” He asked.
“The Cooper siblings?” Sandra said.
“No. I know you dislike them, but they didn’t. Think of another unsuspicious possibility. Come with me to my office.” Anthony replied and led the way.
Sandra stood there, watching him leave for a minute, and she noticed he lost flesh. He’s obviously lean.
“Sand?” Anthony turned.
She rushed to meet up, walking side by side with him.
“If Leo were here, we’d be having the family meal under the oak tree right now, but you and me and Cardi and Bob can still have dinner together this night, right?” She said stylishly.
Anthony looked at her, smiling slightly. He touched her hair.
“Of course,”
Sandra smiled back as they entered his office together.
—
As Thaddeus and Penny drove back on their way, Thaddeus has grunted three times in anger, and Penny just sat wordless beside him.
Thaddeus grunted again.
“I told you to be careful—plan well. If the Padrino finds out you’re planning to kill his favorite grandson, you’d ruin us!” Penny finally talked.
“I was careful! My messenger was careful too! He knew Leo would be leaving the hotel at 8, so he set the blow up to 7:35, but Leo left the hotel at 7:30, and it just ruined things. Leo escaped the bombing and another person got hit..” Thaddeus said.
“Who?” Penny asked.

[Suburbs]
Lissa came here with Emma and Island in search of the new family member of the Cooper family.
Emma drove in the front while Island sat beside her on the passenger seat.
Lissa sat at the back, eating plums like a paid model. Her headphones is on, and she’s listening to heavy jazz.
She’s the happiest alive today cos things are finally working in her favor—things are finally on the right side of the board.
She’s even unaware of what’s happening in front of the car cos right now, Emma and Island are glaring at each other.
But there’s a smile of mockery uplifting Emma’s glare.
“Felicia was a barmaid who found you—a nameless child on the streets of Chicago. She took you in, catered for you, but you betrayed her? Well….I don’t blame you, even dogs bite their owner when they grow too wild.” Emma said.
“And you?” Island inched forward. “I heard Miss Lissa killed all your family. Your family is a rich law family of judges and attorneys, but she killed them all and took you as her maid just because you… bought the only latest edition of bag from her favorite brand in this country?”
“I’m glad you know the story, now weigh it with yours and tell me which is more pathetic! Of course it’s yours, Lieland!” Emma laughed.
Island angrily snatched the wheel from her, wanting to drive them to a wall, but Emma was professional enough to take it back.
She drove the car back to the road, and immediately she stopped it, she came down and rounded it, throwing the door open.
She dragged Island out of the car and plunged her to the ground.
Island might be trained too, but Emma was personally trained by Lissa, so there’s a huge difference.
Island landed on the ground, and Emma kicked her.
Island rolled under the car, hitting her head on the engines.
Lissa came out of the car and dragged Island out from under it.
She didn’t ask what the issue was, she just brought Island’s head down to the car bonet, slamming it.
Island bled, cried.
“Miss Lissa, Emma was…
Lissa slammed her head again, and Island’s tongue got hooked between her teeth. She bled again.
“The respect you give to me, accord the same to Emmaline, ok? Or I’ll kill you and make your body rot. You were ready to use my name as the one who gave you your leopard skin ointment, so you should be ready to pay the price and act accordingly!” Lissa addressed sternly.
Emma smiled behind.
“I… understand.” Island talked, blood dropping off her lips.
Lissa threw her back to the ground, and she wiped her hand with an hanky before facing Emma.
“We’re here, this is the house…” Emma said, pointing at the house they’re in front of.
It’s like the only house in that side of the subs cos houses are scattered here, not clustered.
Lissa went in with Emma, and they only met an old legless man on a wheelchair. He’s with his young son, and the son is feeding him.
Lissa pushed the son away from the father, so she viewed him better.
“Are you a brother to Leroy Cooper?”
“No. My surname is Hale, I don’t know what you’re talking about” the man denied.
Lissa pulled him up by the collar, his cut legs dangling halfway.
“Don’t hurt him!” The son shouted, and Emma kicked him back.
“Don’t hurt my father!!” He cried.
“My surname is really Hale, you can check my ID!” The old man shouted desperately.
Emma took his ID from the son, and it’s really Hale on the surname column.
“True,” she said.
Lissa let go of the man and left the house with Emma immediately.
Island is still bleeding outside, but she quickly entered the car with them so they won’t leave her behind.
“Is this a trap?” Lissa asked Emma.
“I can’t say for sure, but even if it’s a trap, we’re prepared.” Emma smiled.
Lissa chuckled, and they drove off.
Inside the house, the old man whistled with his fingers between his mouth, and a man came out of the backroom, wearing a cap.
A spy.
He pulled out his phone and dialled Leo’s line, but it’s unavailable.
—
[Phoenix Valley]
Renata went out for a Christmas shopping spree since 9, and when she came back, she expected to meet the same quiet and peace she left the valley at when she was departing, but it’s different now.
Bobby sat beside the lawn pond. His legs are inside the pond, and his blood is leaking inside.
Nearly all the fishes inside the pond are dead, and he just sat there, gazing.
The valley guards are surrounding him. Obviously, they tried their best to stop him from doing this, but the dru& in his system was enough to empower him against them.
Renata dropped her bag and squatted beside him, touching his back.
“Bob?”
He faced her slowly, his eyes teary. Renata’s eyes widened.
“Bob…”
“My Leo isn’t around, so I came here to kill granddad alone, but he’s not around too, so I waited for you…” He said slowly.
“You found out?” She asked gently.
“How long have you known?” He asked calmly.
“Since the day it happened, I knew when dad was contacting that mobster and ordering him to poison Wendy, but I couldn’t inform you, cos my phone was confiscated in Italy back then, I couldn’t reach you.” She replied sincerely.
Bobby looked at the pond, sniffling without saying anything else.
But he has a map in his mind already—he’s killing Marko.
Renata went down on her knees, placing an hand on his back. She began patting him.

[Crimson Cave]
Monika always made Christmas enjoyable for the gangsters, and it’s the same this year.
The absence of Moo and Hayden wasn’t felt.
The gangsters sat on round tables for fours’, eating beef and broccoli and taking their fills since today is the only day they get to feast.
New Year’s day is nothing to Monika, so this Christmas is their only chance.
Bradshaw stood on the top pavement, watching them quietly.
He’s only drinking wine, so he’s with a cup of it, and his tablet is on his second hand. From there, he’s watching the Toga club.
He’s aware that Bacardi and Robert went there last night, and he’s also aware that they left without doing anything.
They’re probably gonna come back soon, so he’s staying vigilant.
He has alerted the Toga brothers that a burst is coming from The Outfit though, so he’s sure the attack will be evilly interesting.
He looked up from the tab slowly, realizing he hasn’t seen Monika today. She has been spending too much time in her distillery these days, what poison is she mixing?
—
[Distillery]
Monika’s locket is open, and her eyes are staring right into it—at the picture of a father carrying a child.
Her thumb rubbed the man in the picture, and she let a ghostly smile touch her dark lips.
“How’re you doing, Santos?”
Then…her thumb moved to the child …
“Where would you be right now, child?” She muttered.
Approaching footsteps made her return the locket to her pocket, and Bradshaw entered.
She stood from her stool.
“I was wondering what poison you’re making, but now that I see it…” He said, frowning as he stared at the conical flask on the workbench.
A bedbug is inside the flask, and there’s purple misty smoke inside the flask with the bug, like the stabilizer.
Next to the bug flask, there’s another flask containing a colourless liquid, but it looks as dangerous as he could imagine.
“Perfecto,” he said.
Monika took her eyes to the flasks too.
“Anyone bitten by the bug won’t last two hours, and the person won’t even be able to talk again till death will come in those two hours, that’s why I call it Silencer. As for the colourless liquid, leave the discussion for another day, Brad.” She said.
Bradshaw nodded.
—
[Britain, Umbra Hotel]
It’s 1pm when Hayden decided to leave the hotel. It’s finally time.
He made sure his apparel is all black plus the face cap and mask, so it’d be easy to blend in.
He was already walking down the hall when he felt he’s being followed, but he didn’t stop.
He just quickened his steps till he entered the elevator which took him to the down floor.
He came out and waited patiently beside the elevator wall, hiding till the elevator opened again after three minutes.
Moo came out, wearing a black apparel too.
With a violent drag, Hayden pulled her back, taking off her mask.
She smirked.
“You’re always proving to be ultra smart, it’s not even surprising anymore.” She said.
“Why the fûck are you in Britain? Why are you following me!” Hayden queried angrily.
“I was told to shadow you, but now that I’ve been found out, I guess I’ll step into the light with you!” She replied.
“I told you, I don’t need your saving or protection! I’m enough for myself!” He pushed her off and moved.
“No matter how determined you are, you still can’t undermine the fact that two heads are better than one, Hayden Woods! Take it or leave it, we work better together!” She shouted.
Hayden halted, but he didn’t look back, he just continued walking after a minute.
Moo followed him.
His darkly infused eyes didn’t push her off. She entered one of the hotel rides with him, and their journey to the private ranch started.
They drove in silence, and when their car drove past Hertfordshire hotel, they both looked out of the window.
The hotel is already burned down to ruins, claiming 20 lives this morning. The news is still all-over the country right now. One of the largest hotels in London was bombed by unknown perpetrators, it was a clean work.
They left the bombed hotel behind, and their drive stretched.
—
[Private Ranch]
The bombed hotel made the meeting shift on the clock, so it was rescheduled for now.
Leonardo came alone, carrying the bag of drugs like a career pack.
No sign of burns or wounds on him.
He did his walk of confidence—the walk of death, alone in the silent corridor which led to the meeting room. The ranch is wide—deep in the heart of London, feels like a place an enemy would bring you to just to kill you silently and bury you silently.
Leo’s hair sprawled on his right eye.
He might have gave it a trim, but not enough to keep it from falling.
It’s still full.
His white suit stayed fit to his body like it was custom-made for him, the long legs carried him effortlessly with the darkest charisma existing. He looks like a newly-enthroned pain.
Before he entered the hall, he undid his suit button, and he had to bend his head by the door since he’s taller than the frame.
He entered the room where the kingpin sat with his pack of security men like territorial wolves.
The kingpin who’s a near-bald man has a grin on his face as he gestured at a seat for Leonardo.
Leonardo sat, lips unmoved like a movement would be a deadly sin.
Straight to business, he opened the bag of drugs, and the kingpin snapped his fingers.
One of his men came forward to check the potency, stabbing one of the smaller packs with a knife to taste it and smell it.
He nodded, meaning originality.
“Your empire price says a few millions per kilo?” The kingpin said, looking at Leonardo in the eye.
The bag was weighted, and it turned out to be hundred.
He received a calculator and did the calculations, and he sighed when the total appeared on screen.
He picked up his phone and did the transfer, straight to the clan estate account in Chicago.
Leonardo received the evidence before standing to his feet.
“It’s like you were forbidden from talking to me, Leonardo Esposito, but not to worry, something that’d make you open up is almost here,” the kingpin stood.
Leonardo didn’t stop walking, and he has barely gotten to the door when the ceiling came crashing down suddenly, almost getting him.
He twisted, his suit following the flow of that move till he was a feet apart.
The ceiling carried sawdust and a large number of new men who’re all wearing black, and masks.
They kept jumping into the room, filling it up and caging Leonardo in the middle of the chaos.
There are fifty of them in that room.
The kingpin opened the window, revealing the outside hall. Another fifty is there. He’s practically surrounded.
“I’m a peaceful person, Leonardo. I really wanted just the dru& and wouldn’t want to mess with a daredevil like you, but your granddad gave me me a threat, and I had to follow his words. Don’t hold it against me in the future…” The kingpin said with a tricky smile then he walked out with his own men.
The room seemed to close in more, now that it’s just Leonardo and his granddad’s men.
“Granddad sure knows how to surprise me.” He muttered, saying the first sentence here today.
Hayden and Moo who’re in the middle of the men exchanged glances. They managed to sneak their way into the pack.
They were the first to jump forward in an unexpected attack, and the rest of the men followed.
Fifty on Leonardo alone. He faced off.
The first punch didn’t come from the front, Leonardo sensed it—air splitting behind his ear.
He twisted just enough for the fist to graze instead of land, then he answered with an elbow that cracked into a throat.
The man folded without a sound, then the room detonated.
Steel flashed, boots thundered. Fifty men surged like a single organism, and Leonardo met them head-on.
A blade skimmed his ribs—burning and shallow. He grabbed the wrist, snapped it backward until bone protested, then used the screaming body to cover himself as a shield against two coming attackers.
A gun went off, and a ceiling plaster exploded near his head, nearly crashing him down.
He escaped and drove his knee into the shooter’s stomach, ripped the weapon free, and smashed the butt of the gun across his face.
Teeth scattered, gum became pounded beyond recognition, and blood sprayed warm.
Hayden and Moo broke from the middle like wolves from a leash, coming at him at a time with planned accuracy and calculation.
Moo came in low, tackling for Leonardo’s legs.
Hayden followed high, vicious and fast, fists already red. Moo’s shoulder slammed into Leonardo’s thigh, almost toppling him, but Leonardo caught his balance, snarled, and brought his knee up hard.
His knee caught Moo square in the jaw. Clean and precise.
The sound was ugly.
With a loud thud, Moo hit the floor and didn’t get back up.
Hayden roared and lost all restraint.
He came swinging, wild but powerful. His rage sharpened every blow, the thought of every evil thing this man might have done to Ivanna blew up his strength.
Leonardo blocked his first punch, but the second one landed on his cheek, and he tasted iron.
Hayden drove him backward, punch after punch, forcing Leonardo to cover, to bend. A hook cracked into Leonardo’s ribs—deep, bruising.
Hayden pressed in, teeth bared.
Leonardo answered with his head. He headbutted him like his life meant a squeeze of paper.
The headbutt split Hayden’s eyebrow straight. Leonardo followed with a short, brutal uppercut, then a knee to the gut that emptied Hayden’s lungs.
Still, Hayden kept coming—grabbing, clawing, desperate. Leonardo twisted, broke the hold, and slammed him into the wall hard enough to spiderweb the plaster.
Blood split out of Hayden’s nose, and his mouth trembled.
With a single drag, Leonardo pulled off his mask, and his head tilted when he saw the face…
“I recognized those eyes, I knew it was you fuckface!” He slammed Hayden to the wall again.
Hayden slid down, unconscious but breathing.
The rest of the men didn’t hesitate.
Leonardo became something feral.
He moved through them like a blade—breaking arms, crushing windpipes, using walls, tables, bodies.
He disarmed one man and stabbed another with his own knife. He stomped a face until it stopped moving. When the last of the fifty men fell, the room looked wrecked—blood smeared, bodies piled wrong.
Leonardo wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, chest heaving, then he ran.
He jumped over the window without slowing, meeting the remaining fifty men outside.
The outside hall erupted the moment
his boots hit stone.
They rushed him from both sides. Leonardo grabbed the first man and hurled him over the railing.
He tore through the next, snapped a neck, ducked a machete and buried his fist into a solar plexus.
He fought like he had nothing left to lose—like pain had become irrelevant.
Men fell. Screams echoed. The hall turned slick. It was easier than the first fifty inside the room.
When he ended them all, silence followed, just Leonardo’s breathing and the distant drip of blood.
Then…
Slow clapping.
From the far end of the hall, shadows shifted. Another number of men entered.
One hundred and for fifty this time.
Fresh. Armed. Smiling.
Leonardo straightened, then a chain from nowhere looped around his neck in a blink.
It was cold, biting, and yanked tight. Leonardo clawed at it, growling.
His shoes skidded on blood-slick stone. He tried to turn, to strike, but the chain jerked again, viciously,
It crushed his airway, and he went down hard.
The chain dragged him across the floor, skin scraping, breath tearing out of him in ragged gasps.
His fingers dug into the ground, nails breaking, leaving streaks behind him as he was hauled like a trophy.
Leonardo’s vision blurred at the edges, but his eyes stayed open—burning, furious.
The chain tightened again.
Leonardo rolled with it this time.
He let himself be dragged two more feet—then wrapped the chain around his forearm, skin tearing.
He yanked with everything left in him, and the man holding the chain stumbled forward.
Leonardo surged up, slammed his elbow backward, and tore the chain free, then he used the chain.
He swung it around, slamming it into their faces, throats, knees.
A blade entered his shoulder from one of them, it didn’t even stop him.
A metal pipe cracked against his spine. He roared and snapped the wielder’s wrist, then crushed his skull against the wall.
Someone tackled him from behind. He went down, rolled, dragged the man with him, and choked him out with the chain till he died.
Blood soaked Leonardo’s shirt, his vision doubled.
Still, he fought.
He used walls to stay upright, he used bodies to shield himself. When his fists failed, he used teeth.
When his legs shook, he rooted and dared them to come closer.
They did, and one by one, they fell.
By the time the last man hit the ground, Leonardo dropped with him.
He landed on his back, staring at the ceiling, his chest barely rising.
His hands trembled uncontrollably. One of his eye was swollen shut.
Blood ran freely from a gash at his temple, pooling beneath his head.
He didn’t move.
Then…
Boots echoed. Heavy, cruel echoes.
Leonardo knew those footsteps before he saw the person.
Marko stepped into view, immaculate as ever. He came with another hundred men.
His presence alone pressed down heavier than the numbers.
Marko looked at the carnage of bodies around, then at his grandson.
“Enough,” Marko said tightly,
Leonardo laughed, it came out sounding broken.
Marko crouched beside him, eyes cold, voice low and intimate.
“Look at you,” he murmured. “This is what defiance buys you.”
He leaned closer, almost tender.
“Give up, and listen to my rules! Be smart for once. Be an animal that knows when it’s beaten.”
Leonardo’s jaw clenched.
He tried to rise, but his body stayed down, too tired to move.
Marko straightened, his disappointment flickering across his scarred eyes. He grinned.
“You hear that?” he faced the men he came with. “That sound is a heart learning surrender.”
And then…
A crack came after his words.
The cracking sound split the air like thunder. Two men at the far back dropped dead on the ground before anyone understood why.
Another crack sounded, then two more cracks, making three.
Bodies hit the floor in quick succession—necks snapped sideways, backs torn open, legs buckling.
Ten men fell, and the hall froze.
A shadow moved inside behind Marko’s men.
Leather hissed again, precise and merciless.
Then she stepped forward.
Ivanna.
Her hair is loose, eyes blazing. Her whip coiled in her hand like an extension of her rage.
Blood stained the leather of the whip. Her chest rose steadily—no fear, no hesitation.
She looked past the fallen men, she looked past Marko, then she looked straight at Leonardo.
For a heartbeat, the hall went silent.
Marko slowly turned, disbelief hardening his face.
“…You,” he said.
Ivanna lifted the whip, pointing it at him without trembling.
“Step away from him.”
Leonardo dragged in a breath from the ground, trying to stand.
Ivanna’s voice dropped again, clear enough to reach him…
“Stay down, babe. I’ve got this.”
TBC.

—

TBC.

The Leo mutter from Ivanna made Sandra turn quickly…her eyes depicting shock.
“My brother is inside?” She gasped. “Leo is inside the damn Citadel?”
Ivanna couldn’t reply, she just took off, running towards the Citadel.
At the same time, Bobby came out of his apartment, eyes going wide.
“Shit! Leonardo!”
He began running in too.
Bacardi was the first to take off, so she’s ahead them all.
The water system is already active too, and the clan extinguishers are already pumping water.
It was so fast.
When Renata came out of the cyber building with Ginny and Tierney, she was too shocked to see all the siblings running towards the burning house, and they’re all determined to enter.
“What the f+k! They can’t be going into the fire. Stop them!!!!”
Ivanna outran Bacardi in no time. She whizzed past her, so she’s leading the rest in the run towards the Citadel with a burning chest.
The fire is still burning at the top part—the Mommy’s Room, so the low part of the Citadel is still fine.
She slapped the elevator button, but it won’t open.
“C’mon,c’mon!” She shouted.
She gave the door her deadly punch, thrice. Then she slapped the button again with her full palms.
The elevator opened, finally.
She almost ran inside, but he was already inside the elevator.
Leonardo.
He’s right there. Befuddled hair, streaked eyes. Overall red face. Burning jacket.
Yeah, the right arm of his leather jacket is burning, and the insane man isn’t even making an effort to put it off at all.
She jumped into the elevator to take off the jacket before the fire would spread, but a rush of water entered the elevator, drenching both of them.
It didn’t even come from the water supply pump. It came from Hilda.
The old woman is standing in front of the elevator right now, holding a large bucket which she poured the water from.
Even after the fire on Leonardo’s jacket went off, she still looks scared, terrified as the bucket dangled from her hands. There’s even thin line of tears below her eyeballs.
When her eyes met with Leonardo’s, she quickly wiped the tears and ran away from there.
Ivanna grabbed Leonardo’s arm, wanting to drag him out of the elevator, but she got pushed off by him, and her body hit the elevator wall violently.
Her elbow cracked.
She looked up, their eyes met, and the hate inside his eyes are far more than what he has ever looked at her with before.
There’s no anger, just hate.
He walked out of the elevator on his own, then Bobby and the rest appeared.
They were asking questions about the cause of the fire, but their questions were like background noise to him. He just walked like a deserted soul.
Renata met him halfway and asked the questions too, but he stayed the same as if on a mission of silence.
Don Anthony who’s just returning from VV’s mausoleum came to the scene in a blind rush too.
His chest was pounding as he checked his son out from head to toe, and when he saw there’s no wound, he drew a relieved breath.
“You’re fine… you’re alive… I’m so glad…” He breathed, grabbing his shoulders tightly.
“Why would you set your own building on fire, why!!!” He suddenly yelled, looking up.
Leonardo’s lifeless eyes looked down at him slowly.
“Yes. You rarely relate with me, and you think I don’t know you, but I do. You’re my son, and I know you love your Citadel so much you won’t ever allow any external agent to harm it, unless you started the fire yourself.” “You are reading from www.mhiztaemy.com.ng” Don Anthony said glaringly.
Bobby and Bacardi took over from there. They stayed at each side of him, eyes still wide.
“You really started the fire?” Bacardi said shockingly.
“It shows. He did start it. Why? Cos of this bîtch???” Bobby snarled.
He pointed at Ivanna who’s still standing not far from the Citadel.
“What do you mean bitch?” Renata muttered.
“Some mobsters sighted them talking in the park, they saw when he suddenly left her in the park and went to his Citadel like a possessed being, then two minutes later, fire erupted. What other evidence is needed?” Bobby snapped.
“Did you really start the fire cos of her?” Sandra asked, still in disbelief.
“Leave your delusions at your places, don’t dare come here to throw it at my face. She’s not enough to start a smoke for.” Leonardo said coldly and faced Renata.
With his eyes, he signalled at her to come with him for a talk.
Renata followed him away.
Don Anthony’s eyes went to Ivanna, but Bobby was already walking to her.
“What are you gonna f+kin do!” Bacardi pushed him back.
“Kill her, what else? He burnt his Citadel cos she probably said something to trigger it. Leo won’t even allow a ant inside that building, it’s like his lifeline, but he did what? For her? Why the heck would he even allow that bîtch into his head this much!” Bobby shoved Bacardi.
“So what? It’s his issue to solve. Not yours!” Bacardi pushed him again.
“Right, Bob. Drop your anger, it’s not in your place.” Anthony said.
Sandra looked at Ivanna, sneering.
“I’m really trying so hard to like you, but nah… you’re so unlikable I wanna ruin your face! Now I get why Lissa can’t stand you. If he has died inside that fire, you would have tasted cruelty like tea… bî+ch!”
With that, she left angrily, and Bobby scoffed, huffing.
“You bewitched him, I just can’t prove it. I can’t ever like you, at all.” He said and left too.
He left with Don Anthony.
Now Ivanna is left in the midst of hundreds of mobsters who’re all staring hatefully at her like she caused a pandemic.
“Knew her upliftment would be nothing but trouble.”
“How did she get this far into Ghost’s head?”
“To think I was happy when she defeated the Padrino in the mud fight. A waste”
“Happy? I’ve never been happy. I wanted her to drown in that mud.”
“You know what I hate most? The way Ghost favours her. Bîtch got some grain of attention and she’s already planning a coup”
“I just hope Ghost puts her in her place this time.”
“Ghost wouldn’t start a fire cos of her. He said it himself that she’s not even worthy of starting a fire for, so why the unnecessary commentaries?” Robert said, entering the middle.
He’s with Nino.
“Are you ok?” Nino asked Ivanna.
Ivanna didn’t answer.
“I’ll take her away!” Ginny entered the middle too.
She left with Ivanna, but the mobsters doesn’t even want to make way for them…
Robert had to step in and punch some of them in their faces to make them step away, but the mobsters returned the punches to his face too.
Ivanna nearly retaliated, but Bacardi was faster.
She moved like the air, pounding the heads of the mobsters with a stone.
All-round, the three mobsters fell to their deaths with cracked bleeding heads, and she dropped the bloody stones simply.
Robert didn’t even give her a stare. He simply just left with Ginny and Ivanna. Nino and Tierney followed.
Then…the mobsters started dispersing, back to their spots in the estate. By the time they’re all gone, Bacardi is left alone there.
She stood with the bodies of the three mobsters she just killed.
By now, the Citadel fire is out. The fire didn’t touch any other part of the Citadel except the Mommy’s room, reason it was easy to kill.
Bacardi stared at the bodies on the ground, then at her bloody hands.
She wiped the blood on the clothes of the mobsters, then she called the nearby guards to clear the body.

[Sinners Assembly]
Leonardo took Renata here, and judging by the look in his eyes, he’s obviously not here for a soft talk.
They didn’t sit. He just faced her, his eyes communicating his anger.
There’s anger in the orbs now.
“Are you seeing her as your daughter already? Enough to show her my bloated pictures?” He said.
“Huh? What do you—”
“The night of the teaparty! I was watching, and I saw her with your phone! You showed her the damn picture! I told you twice to get those pictures deleted, but you actually kept them?” He yelled.
“That’s because you have no childhood memory, Leo. You never for once lived like a child! You started being an adult right from the day you were born! Your mother ruined your childhood so much you couldn’t even eat sweets like other kids. Even till now, you don’t eat sweet things not because you hate them but because you still aren’t over the trauma! The day you ate ice cream with Lissa in the crypt, my sister nearly killed you with salted wounds!”
“Those chubby three months old pictures is the only evidence that you were once a child, I can’t ever delete them!” She yelled back.
And Leonardo replied with a lock to her coat in the front. His hands knotted around the neckline, and he used it to drag a noose around her neck, choking her.
Renata didn’t fight back, and the choking didn’t take long cos the moment she started coughing, he threw her at the wall, and she fell brutally against it.
Her phone fell from her pocket, and before she could pick it, Leonardo raised it with his leg, catching the phone in the hair.
She smashed the phone to the ground and proceeded to marching it with his shoe, destroying it.
“Leo what the f+k!!!” She cried.
Tears rode out of her eyes in a long slim line as she struggled to gather the phone pieces.
She didn’t do that for long before Leonardo pulled her up again.
“You’re not mum…you didn’t birth me, so quit trying to be one!” He said to her face, his eyes still mad. Still void of calmness.
“I don’t ever wanna be your mum, Leo! I never wanna be Vera! I am Renata, and I’m not a desperate wicked woman like your mother! The earlier you let go of her legacy, the better, and let me tell you… “You are reading from www.mhiztaemy.com.ng” I don’t regret ever telling Ivanna about the picture, cos if there’s any chance of you becoming sane, then she’s the chance, and I know you feel her! You fuckin do no matter how much you try to hide it!” She cried.
Leonardo let her go with a push, and she staggered to the railings, her tears shaking from her face to her coat.
Leonardo stormed out of the building, and Hilda instantly came in. She has been watching in hiding.
“Rena!” She held the lady quickly, and Renata smiled little.
“I’m fine, really fine.”
“But your neck…” Hilda checked it.
There’s a thick line of redness surrounding it as a result of how Leonardo choked her.
“I said I’m fine, Hilda,” Renata’s smile widened, and she caressed Hilda’s blonde hair fondly. “And thanks for the bucket of water.”
Hilda nodded, smiling too.

[Don Anthony’s Office]
Bobby followed his father here, and immediately the man sat, Bobby tabled his matter.
“Wendy’s case, I need your help with the investigation. I feel she didn’t really chest on me.”
“You should be at the warehouse, Bob.” Anthony dabbed his face with his palm frustratedly.
“I don’t care about the warehouse for now, dad. If someone really set her up, then I deserve to know the truth!” Bobby slammed his fists on the table.
“You think your Granddad?” Anthony looked up slowly.
“You know something?” Bobby muttered suspiciously.
Anthony’s eyes returned to the table, but Bobby immediately climbed the table, towering above the man.
“Bob!” Anthony stood. “I don’t have the spare time for your hysteria tantrums right now! My wife is locked up, and I don’t even have the authority to release her!”
Bobby squatted on the table, so they’re the same height again.
“I don’t care about your wife, but I care about you enough to help you get your wife out, and that’s only if you help me with Wendy’s investigation.” He muttered.
Don Anthony’s eyes softened.

[Cooper Siblings Apartment]
When Ivanna arrived with her siblings some of ago, it was a total mess inside the apartment.
No idea how the mobsters got the key to enter, but they entered and ruined the house completely.
Spray paints everywhere—the walls, ceilings, floors, beds and the clothes in their wardrobes.
Everything was ruined with the spray paints and water color.
It was Island who led the mobsters to do the job, and as she directed them to spray each angle, she was smiling.
“What do you think you’re doing Island!” Nino said.
“It’s obvious, Nino. Unless you’re blind. She at least deserves this much for causing the burn down of the Citadel… The most luxurious building in this estate.” Island shrugged.
Ivanna went to her immediately, landing a slap on her face.
Island wanted to return it immediately, but both Nino and Robert held her.
She was pushed back, but the mobsters behind her held her before she could fall.
She balanced back on her feet then started coming for her again.
Tierney and Ginny attacked her, but she easily pushed the two of them off. They both landed on the ground then they held her legs…one per one.
“Let me go, leeches!” She shouted, kicking them away.
Ginny landed beside a couch and Tierney beside a table.
They both hit their heads and fell unconscious.
“Ginny!” Robert went to her.
“Tierney!” Nino went to him too.
Ivanna followed Island, and Island guided with a twist and hip crash, but Ivanna made a counterattack, raising her leg from the back with a curve on her ankle.
The back of her leg crashed into Island’s eye, and no amount of self-protection could protect her.
She lost vision in that one eye immediately, and she finally fell on the floor, cussing.
“You will not touch Ginny and Tierney, ok? You will not touch them!” Ivanna growled with the rage of a trapped tigress.
Before her second kick from could touch Island, a guard entered to report that Renata wants her.
Island quickly stood, holding her blinded eye. She rushed out with her mobster minions.
Ginny and Tierney are up now, and they’re both receiving fanning from Nino and Robert.
Ivanna went out to meet Renata as requested, and she met your sleek lady waiting outside.
Renata didn’t say a word, she led her to the oak tree, and they both sat on VV bench under the tree.
A thick silence followed. No one talked for the first three minutes as if they’re both weighing their words.
It’s snowing lightly, and the snowflakes still found a way to fall on them through the spaces between the tree leaves.
Renata collected a flake on her palm before breaking the long silence.
“Why did you do it?”
Ivanna looked at her.
“Why did you mention Chubby to him? I warned you not to.”
“I just couldn’t hold it in anymore. He’s an abusive fucker who tries to hit me at any chance. Fine, I know I’m less than his underling cos he’s the boss anyways, but I’ve earned enough merit to get some slack. He’s not just an abuser, but a control freak too who wants everything his way.” Ivanna replied immediately.
“You said everything without actually saying anything.” Renata said.
“I wanted to spend the next three days happy, it’s Christmas period yunno. I’m a lover of free, open clothes. Bum shorts and armless cropped tops…I wore what I liked and I went happily for our missions, but a board about parental love ruined my mood. I suddenly wanted to see my parents, and he has been hiding them without allowing me.”
“Getting back to the estate, the first thing he talked about was my outfit. I answered angrily, and I got choked. He wanted to slap me, I had to say what I had to say.”
“So you called him Chubby?” Renata looked at her.
“Didn’t know it would cause such havoc.” Ivanna replied.
From her second pocket, Renata brought out her spare phone.
She clicked on a picture and gave it to Ivanna. She took it and stared.
It’s a thin picture of Leonardo when he turned three, looking starved with his buzz cut and shaved brows.
“He lost weight..” she muttered.
“Not naturally. He lost it after months of starvation. He was imprisoned by his mum with limited air, water and food. As you can see, his hair was cut too, even his brows.” Renata said.
“Are you joking?” Ivanna gasped.
“Joking? My love, anything I tell you about Vera ain’t no joke. He was really her marionette, and she was his doll master who controlled him with the strings, that’s why Leo is a worse control freak like her.”
“Vera claimed he was too handsome to be a boss, that handsome bosses would only attract women instead of strength, so she did everything—brows shaving, hair shaving, tanning. She claimed powerful men weren’t supposed to taste honey, so she forbade him from eating sweet things. She claimed depending on food for survival was trash, so she limited his food.”
Renata was looking straight at her as she said everything, and Ivanna couldn’t even blink as she listened.
“What If i told you she didn’t even breastfeed Leo and his siblings?” Renata said.
Ivanna frowned, nailing the bench she’s sitting on. Her under-nails bled.
“Hilda wasn’t just a regular maid. She was hired to breastfeed Vera’s babies—she’s like a second mother to them. Once Vera gave birth, Hilda took drugs to make her breast milk run. They’re not even aware of the fact that she breastfed them.” Renata said.
“Why would a mother not breastfeed her kids?” Ivanna asked in a low, pitiful voice.
“Cos they’re the kids she had for Anthony. She never liked Anthony—she liked someone else, but dad’s no-love rule made her let go of the person, then she became Violent Vera and kidnapped Anthony to marry. She terrorized Anthony and the whole of Chicago, but Leo was her biggest victim. She broke him beyond repair.” Renata said.
Ivanna nailed the bench again.
“You’re a lot like Vera, I guess that’s the first thing that attracted him to you.” Renata continued.
“Attracted? I think you’re getting it wrong.” Ivanna said.
“No. I damn know what I’m saying. Let’s start from his Citadel. His father’s biometrics aren’t registered, Bacardi and Sandra’s aren’t registered. Bobby only got registered after he begged for three good years. Lissa has been registered since they were kids cos of their childhood friendship bond, but you…what did you do to make him register your biometrics? Nothing” Renata said.
Ivanna looked ahead speechlessly, and the lady smiled again.
“You’re like a new version of Vera, but I’m glad there are certain differences. She hated sweet things, but you love sugared tea. She hated white, but you wear it. She hated revealing clothes, but you love them.”
Ivanna’s nails stopped moving under the bench.
“And for the choking he did, I’m very sorry. He’s—”
“No, Nata. You don’t have to say sorry. I get it.” Ivanna said, looking at Renata’s red neck.
She figured out Leonardo probably chocked her too.
Renata received a call from the valley, and she eventually left.
Ivanna continued sitting there, lost in thoughts till Nino came to meet her.
He settled beside her, but Ivanna didn’t talk to him.
“I guess aunt Renata told you the story.” He said.
“How long have you been here?” Ivanna asked gently.
“I was brought here as a newborn baby when Sir Leo was four, Mister Bob was two, Miss Bacardi was still in VV’s womb.” Nino replied.
“Who are you exactly?” Ivanna asked.
“My parents worked in Don Anthony’s parents sheepfold as their hardworking labourers. After Vera destroyed the fold and forcefully married Don Anthony, my parents were left with nothing.”
“They started coconut farming, and my mother got pregnant with me, but then my father died after he fell from a coconut tree. My mother died after she gave birth to me, and Don Anthony was kind enough to bring me into the clan. I was handed to Hilda, she took care of me too. When I turned four, I started receiving racing classes from VV.” Nino narrated slowly.
“Hilda is like your second mother too…” Ivanna said.
Nino nodded, then he saw her bleeding under-nails. He wanted to take the hand and check it out, but she was already up.
She left him under the tree, and Nino stood, folding his hand.
His heart was beating fast. Very fast.
..
Ivanna went to Hilda’s apartment straight.
She didn’t meet the woman in the living room or bedroom, but she heard running water in the bathroom.
She must be having her late night bath, so she waited.
A minute later, Hilda came out of the bathroom in her long towel.
“Eh… Ivanna?” She blinked.
Not minding her wet body, Ivanna went to the woman and gave her a large f+kin hug.
“Ivanna, are you ok?”
“How many kids did you feed, huh? How many? Vera is such a c+nt.” Ivanna sniffled.
Hilda relaxed.
“Renata told you the story?”
“It’s just so sad that your own kid is gone…so f+kin sad.” Ivanna replied.
Hilda hugged her back, smiling.
“I told you, you’re like my gone daughter. Also, feeding helpless kids has never been a problem to me. I love kids.” She said.
“You’re so precious…” Ivanna said.
“You too…” Hilda broke the hug to hold Ivanna’s face.
“Look, i know Leo is a intolerable control freak, but you’re a smart girl. I’m sure you know what to do. His inner child is still unhealed, he’s still trapped in the starvation prison, you just have to pull him out.” She said.
Ivanna nodded.

[Phoenix Valley]
Lissa came for a visit alone.
She’s in the guestroom with the Padrino who’s drinking from a cup of bitter sugarless coffee.
Time just clocked 10pm.
Lissa sat respectfully in front of the man, smiling like a Cheshire cat.
Emma is by the door, waiting on them.
As Marko sipped coffee, a guard entered to report the clan estate issue to him… Leonardo’s burnt Citadel.
“That foolish boy will do anything to showcase his vulnerability these days. Unscrupulous.” He muttered.
He dropped his cup, and Lissa shifted forward on her chair.
She snapped her fingers.
Emma brought a wrapped gift box, rectangular in shape.
“I didn’t want to come empty-handed,” she said.
Marko took it and opened it. It contains a black brooch with silver pins. So expensive and fresh.
“I didn’t know what you liked, but dad said you might like this, so I brought it.” Lissa said.
“Why are you here exactly, Lissa?” Marko replied, covering the box like the brooch meant nothing.
“Island. I want Island as my personal maid with Emma. Now that Felicia is dying, I want—”
“Take whatever you want from the clan, you don’t have to ask. You’re the top brigadier’s daughter, act like one.” Marko cut her off.
Lissa’s smile diminished.
“Are you… perhaps mad at me?”
“I expected more from you regarding the Coopers, but you’re barely acting. Of course disappointment would kick in.” Padrino Marko said, sipping bitter coffee again.
“I was trained to fight alongside Leo, not attack him. You know I can’t even beat Leo in a fight.” She replied.
Marko was silent.
“But…I have an ace,” Lissa continued, shifting closer to Marko’s ears. “Erica and Leroy are with me. Ivanna’s parents.” She whispered.
Marko smiled.
“Is that a lie to buy me?”
“Here,” Lissa showed him a picture of Erica and Leroy in the the sheepfold.
Marko didn’t even look at it twice before detecting the realness.
“Since my arrival, I’ve been searching, but no lead. I’m sure Leo is searching too without success. Even your parents are searching, but you actually have them? How?”
“I’m heavily arrogant , and I don’t know how to hide my aces. Before, if I had something under my sleeves, my attitude would give it away, but now… I’ve been losing my shit publicly, acting tactless and pitiful and powerless. Of course I’m not suspected.” Lissa smiled darkly.
“You’re a player after all.” Marko took off his glasses to give her a evil smile, and she returned it.
“Take Island as your additional servant If you want, and drop the address of where you’re keeping the couple, I’d like to go visit them after I return from my trip.” Marko said.
“What trip?” Lissa asked.
“You’ll hear about it if you’re meant to, and this brooch…”
He took the brooch box. “I’ll be wearing it to your wedding with Leonardo.”
Lissa said goodbye to the valley with a smile intact on her face, and after she left, Renata entered.
“Pack me a small bag for a trip tomorrow.” He said.
“You’re going on a trip? Where” Renata frowned.
“Are you going to go pack the bag? Or you need a urging push?” Marko gave her a side-eye.
Renata entered, restlessly.

[Next Day, House Of Esposito]
As early as 6pm, Leonardo set out.
The rebuilding of the burnt part of the Citadel will start today, but he still had his shower and dressed inside despite the current state of it.
So far the fire didn’t burn the bedroom and bathroom, he was fine.
He looks different as he stepped into the private park—his hair is low, he finally got it trimmed.
He threw his little duffel into the car trunk, then he was driven out of the estate compound immediately.
He received a call from his spies.
“You talked about setting a trap to lure out the Cooper parents captor, and I studied the trap guide you sent two nights ago… let’s go with number one. We’ll spread a rumour of another Cooper family member, found in the suburbs. Leroy had a junior brother who has been missing, we could use that one. The news will surely pique the interest of the captor, and he’s gonna want to come check the factuality of it.” The spy explained.
“Stop the investigation.” Leonardo replied uninterested.
“Why the sudden abortion, Ghost? Is it cos of the occurrence at the clan estate? Is she really the reason for the fire outbreak?”
Leonardo hung up, staying mute as the car entered the streets.
After he left the estate, Ivanna left their apartment too, holding a small black backpack.
Thanks to Hilda, she was able to get spare clothes from the store cos all her clothes got ruined by Island.
She’s freshly ready as she stepped into Don Anthony’s Office.
Anthony is with Bobby, both working like they didn’t sleep last night.
They really didn’t sleep.
“What the hell are you doing here?” Bobby stood immediately, coming fast to her face.
“Bob…” Anthony cautioned.
“What are you doing here!” Bobby yelled at Ivanna.
“I need to fly…to Britain.” She replied.
Bobby’s face went flat, then he laughed crookedly.
“Are you sick? Fly to where?”
“I heard the clan has more than four bombardiers, can I fly in one, please?” Ivanna faced Anthony.
“You’re going to follow who? Leo?” Bobby cut in.
“You’re not only endangering your life, but also endangering your position as a too mobster, hope you know that?” Anthony said.
“Your have a mission with Nino and Robert to eliminate cartels. Aren’t you guys supposed to start tackling the Toga brothers tonight?”
“Robert and Nino are enough,” Ivanna replied.
“Robert and I will tackle the cartel,” Bacardi said, coming in.
“Is this a planned work? You and Sandra still have that CEO to tackle!” Bobby shouted.
“Sandra and Nino will tackle the CEO.” Bacardi replied.
Ivanna looked at her, and Bacardi gave her a supportive nod.
“Did you just rearrange granddad’s settings? Are you crazy?! I don’t want that madman to come wreck his havoc in this estate anytime soon!” Bobby faced Bacardi.
“The second bombardier is clean. I was supposed to fly to-and-fro New York later today, but take it. Nino will drive you to the airfield.” Don Anthony suddenly said.
Bobby faced him.
“Dad? You’re actually saying yes?”
“I don’t have too much insight on the Britain mission, honestly. I have no idea what Marko has in mind. Though, I trust Leo to always top, but sometimes, extra hands aren’t bad.” Anthony replied.
With twisted smirk, Bobby sat back.
Nino was called on phone, and Ivanna went to the door to meet him.
He’s there with Robert, and the two younglings.
“Iva, I’m so not in support of this decision. What if the Padrino strikes?” Robert said, unsure.
“Have I ever listened?” Ivanna smiled slightly at him.
Robert groaned.
“Promise me you’ll be fine,” Ginny said worriedly.
“Of course I’ll be,” Ivanna stroked her hair.
“I know you’ll be fine, so bring some British snacks along when you’re coming back…” Tierney said.
Ivanna smiled “When Robert and Nino goes for their mission at night, you both should stay with Hilda in her apartment.”
“I get it,” Gibby nodded.
“Let’s leave, the pilot it ready to fly,” Nino said, leading Ivanna away.
Now it’s just Robert and Bacardi with the younglings in the hall.
“Let’s go!” Robert started leading the two out, but Bacardi instantly pulled him back by the sleeve.
“Let’s talk,” she said.
“I don’t want to,” He broke free.
He continued ushering the two out of the hall, and Bacardi followed again, pulling him back for the second time.
Ginny and Tierney left for the kitchen, leaving them.
“We’re going on the same mission tonight, this ain’t the time to gloat,” she said.
“Gloat?” Robert blinked. “I’m simply following your orders. You’re the only one I know you makes rules then break them the second day! You’re so unstable that it’s sickening! You tell me to avoid you, but you start stalking me!”
Bacardi’s eyes widened slightly.
“Yes, I know you’ve been snooping around our apartment since five days ago now. You snooped around the kitchen anytime I followed Ginny and Tierney there, and you snooped around the hood whenever I went for warmups! I’m not some emotional trash bag you can just use and toss off then come back to pickup whenever you like! This time, I’ll stick with your rule till you get sick of it, Miss Bacardi.” He said.
Throughout that long paragraph, there was hurt in his voice which he didn’t even bother to hide, but at the same time, he sounded dead serious.
He left Bacardi on the pavement, and Bacardi pinched herself on the thigh.
Sandra joined her there, smiling mockingly at her sister.
“I never knew he talked this much. Just listen to that long-a$s paragraph. You must have really hurt the poor boy so bad.” She said.
Bacardi pinched herself again.
—
The drive to the airfield was so smooth Ivanna barely felt it. It’s just five minutes drive from the estate, plus Nino drives fast, and the road is only used by the mob—no other cars.
She got down from the passenger seat, and true to Nino’s words, the bombardier is ready.
The clan has four bombardiers, and since the jet fuel is so f+kin expensive, she doesn’t even want to start calculating the expenses. The richness of the clan just gets her mouth wider everyday.
“Must you really go? Did he force you to come meet him?” Nino suddenly said, and he faced the guy.
“What do you mean? No.” She replied.
“Then is it because of what happened yesterday? You want to go makeup for it cos you feel guilty?”
“Nino, why are you suddenly talking like this?” She frowned.
Before he could reply, the pilot signalled at her.
With a wave of her hand, Ivanna left him. She pulled her low-waist jean up to cover her butt crack, and she wore a feather jacket to fight the cold.
She went on board alone, and as the jet staircase rolled in, Nino’s hands went into his pocket.
“Because… I’m in love with you.” He muttered quietly.

[Hearthrow Airport (LHR) London]
Leonardo’s flight touched down at exactly 4pm. No layovers or stopovers.
There was no unnecessary body search or bag x-rays at the terminal cos the immigration and custom officers have already been cleared even before he landed.
Thanks to his British spies, he was covered. Everything went sleekly.
He stepped out of the terminal, holding his little duffel cautiously. Only two of his clothes are inside to act as covers, the rest of the bag is all illegal velkrona drugs.
The British air brushed his skin, and he didn’t even have the time to appreciate it when his ride came.
The window went down, and the Londoner spy nodded at him.
No words, Leonardo opened the car and got in the car.
The drive to The Grove – Hertfordshire hotel started.
An hour after his ride departed, Ivanna came out of the private terminal too, staring at the card she’s holding. It contains Leonardo’s lodging details.
Don Anthony must have told the pilot to provide her with the details cos she received it immediately her flight landed on the runway.
“The Grove – Hertfordshire,” she read from the card, looking up.
She stayed beside the road, looking for a ride to wave down, and while standing there, she became conscious of her surrounding.
She’s not in Chicago, she’s in Britain. The great Britain.
Their different mode of dressing here caught her attention first….
Males wore majorly tailored coats or wool trenches in dark tones. Slim trousers, Chelsea boots or polished shoes with their collars up.
Females wore long fitted coats in neutral shades, knit dresses or wide-leg trousers with ankle boots.
Minimal makeup, effortless hair.
She smiled a little as she watched them, the streets is bustling with the Christmas jubilees and the scent of Christmas hung everywhere. Balloons, fireworks, colours…
Tommorow is Christmas, but it already feels like it tonight.
Then their weather… It’s colder in Chicago than this place. Snow isn’t even falling here, just cold air that’s sweet on the skin, so Ivanna took off her feather sweater.
She hung it on her arm, and she immediately got eye-raped by the passing men.
They’re either staring at her navel, her waist, or face.
She didn’t care. She found a ride and told the driver her destination.
The ride started.
Immediately her ride left, Hayden emerged from the public terminal, looking so tired and dehydrated.
He left in a ride to his booked hotel, and as if planned, Moo also came out of that public terminal.
In fact, they were on the same flight, but he didn’t notice her.
She was sent by Monika to secretly help him from the shadows.
As she entered her own ride, she dialled Monika.
“Landed already?” Monika’s strict voice filtered out.
“Yeah, riding to the lodge now. Will Bradshaw be enough to work with the Toga brothers tonight? If Robert is gonna come with The Outfit mobsters, then it might get ugly. Robert is not to be underestimated.” Moo said, checking out her purple coloured nails.
“You’re underestimating Bradshaw too. You have more trust in an enemy than your actual co-gangster?” Monika chastised.
“I wouldn’t dare,” Moo said.
“Leo is meeting the kingpin tommorow,” Monika replied.
“Yes. You don’t have to remind me, Leader. I know what do do.” Moo smiled, hanging up.
—
[The Grove – Hertfordshire Hotel]
Leonardo got a full suite to himself alone, and he settled down real fast.
He’d be spending just two days here, meaning he’d only return to Chicago the day after tomorrow, so he ordered for a few change of formal and informal clothes.
He set the meeting with the kingpin for 8am tomorrow morning already, and the moment he dropped the phone, he checked for the intactness of the drug bag.
Seeing that it’s intact, he entered the bathroom for a shower, and he spent more time than required cos of his arm wound.
When fire caught his jacket arm yesterday, he actually got burned too, and he got a slightly big wound on his arm, so it’s bandaged.
He changed he bandage after the shower, and the hotel room service brought his dinner at 7pm.
He checked on the door intercom to make sure before opening the door.
The female room service pushed in the food trolley containing minced lamb, vegetables and mashed potato pudding.
He expected her to set it on the meal table area and leave, but after she set it,she faced him with a sweet smile, seductive like a harlot’s.
“You can tell me to stay, Sir Leo, and I’ll stay.” She said.
Leonardo remained seated, staring at her with shelled eyes.
She undid the first button of her dress shirt, walking to him.
“I don’t only serve rooms, I can serve body too…” She pressed on.
Leonardo still just stared, the black singlet on his body seeming to glue more. It’s irritation.
“They didn’t tell you to run whenever you’re alone with me?” He muttered, interlocking his fingers.
“Of course I was told, but even the greatest men need women to cool their tempers.” She placed an hand on his shoulder, and the irritation multiplied, spreading faster than he could control.
He lost control, again.
He picked the food trolley like it weighed nothing, raised it up and brought it down on her head.
He broke her head, and the several cracks began bleeding.
Her eyes were wide as she went down, but before she could land, he dragged her to the balcony of his suite, throwing her down from there.
He watched as her body landed on the far ground, then he looked up at the balcony above his own.
The spy who brought him to this hotel is right there, watching.
“I pushed the server, not you. I’ll take care of it, Ghost.” He communicated through the earbud.
“Come here to clean her blood off my floor afterwards.” Leonardo replied.
“I understand.” The spy replied.
Leonardo returned inside to start eating his meal.
But he hasn’t even started eating when the doorbell rang again.
He looked at the door, then he picked his fork, ignoring the sound.
It rang again.
His eyes stilled.
He might not have encountered any problem in the airport, but of course problems are coming.
He’s aware that old granddad of his would never send him here without plans, and that’s why he has been laying low since he arrived, but the slutty room service had to ruin it.
Now he killed her, and the doorbell is sounding again?
Wasn’t the spy supposed to take care of the body?
He picked up his gun this time, getting his senses ready too as he went to the door.
He checked the intercom, but there’s no one on the screen.
He waited one more sec.
The bell came adain, and he swiftly pulled the door open.
His gun stretched, and his finger ess already under the trigger to pull when he saw the face.
He moved the gun to a side, so he could view the face better, and his face remained same after he saw her.
No shock. No sense of recognition.
He lowered the gun, and Ivanna’s face came to view completely.
Her backpack slung on one shoulder, and her sweater on the second hand, her hair down, reaching her back.
“He wanted to shut the door, but she placed her boot between it quickly.
“Now don’t be a d+k, again. I didn’t come here to fight.” She said.
“Anthony was unthoughtful enough to let you use the bombardier, and now you think you’re welcome here? Never seen such unwanted face on a Christmas Eve before.” He muttered, his voice so frosty.
“Nardo…” She started.
“No. Chubby is more preferable.” He cut her off with clustered brows.
“I’m trying to make sense here! I came all the way from Chicago to join you not because I wanted to, but because fine…I knew I did wrong, I shouldn’t have called you that! I shouldn’t have—”
“Get out! I work alone.” He cut her off again, his breaths heavy.
“Stop being a blockhead, Nardo. You choked me first, and you even wanted to slap me! I admit I’m a domineering type, but I am still a female! That should give you a—”
“The devil won’t even want to listen to your sad news, Ivanna. Get the hell out or you become the second female I push down the balcony!!” He yelled, and she instantly felt her throat closing on nothing as she took her boot away from the door middle.
She stepped back, and he shut the door at her face.
She stood there, wanting to bang the door or kick it or headbutt it, but those thoughts were just fragments.
She diffused them as they formed, then she raised her palm to the door, placing it there flatly.
“I’m……….sorry.” She said, with difficulty.
“I’m sorry,” she said again, more sharply this time.
“I badly wanted to annoy you cos you were keeping my parents from me, and cos you were being controlling again, but no matter how much I wanted to do that, if I knew calling you Chubby would trigger you, I wouldn’t say it.” She muttered.
Nothing came from inside.
“I….. Came, not only because I wanted to stay with you and work with you, but because… maybe I also… Missed you, ok? You know even before what happened yesterday, we haven’t really talked since five days ago cos I’ve been caught up in my cartel missions and it’s just…….”
At this point, the door opened, and his face popped out again.
“You….what??”
“I know it’s crazy, but maybe I’m crazy,…I… missed you….the way you touch me…” She repeated.
Leonardo left the door open, and the electronic door began slipping free little by little till it was wide again, holding each of them at either side.
Leonardo’s eyes has a dash of softness at the edges now, but he didn’t move.
He kept their eye lock intact without blinking, till Ivanna made the first move on him.
She entered, slumped off her back from her shoulder. The bag hit the floor plus her sweater.
She pushed him to the wall, inched up her face, and her toes. She took the initiative and clipped his lips into her mouth, kissing him hard.
Leonardo pushed himself away from the wall, bending his figure to her height so she won’t have to stand on her toes anymore.
She wrapped her arms on him—not just with a sense of pleasure from the kiss, but with a sense of possessiveness.
When he m0aned throatily, he bit her lip…
His warm hand entered her panty, and her p+xy watered.
TBC.

★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★

—
—
