  I enter the mall to get something and at the same time talking to Richard on the phone.

📞”Yeah, she called me last night, but I was already on the plane and I couldn’t get down”.

📞”I will go and check up on her”.Richard said from the other end of the phone.

📞”Ok, talk to you later”. I was about to hang up the phone when two kids pumped into me making me drop my phone. They raise their faces to me and I was taken aback by their looks

   “You!” They spoke and I could see the shock on their faces.

 I couldn’t believe the little resemblance between the two kids and me, I felt something strange and I was about to speak when suddenly I saw a boy running towards them calling their names.

    “You two scare me, do you know I was looking for you and I thought something bad had happened to you, don’t–“. he paused as he raised his face to me and I could see the surprised look on his face. ” Oh geez!”.

  We were all looking at each other speechless, then a young man came to them.

   “There you guys are, I was looking for you”. He took the two kids’ hands and walked away with the other following him behind and they were turning their backs to look at me.

   ” What was that?” I wonder confusedly as I pick up my phone and walk away.

  Later in the day, I arrived at my lounge, and I was still taken aback about the two kids, I left for the refrigerator to get a bottle of water and gulped. I sat down still memorizing the look of those adorable kids and I didn’t understand why I was suddenly drawn to them.

   ••Leonard’s mansion••

   Andrew and Adrian were explaining what they saw at the mall to their grandfather and their mother and they seemed not to understand what they were saying.

   “We know what we saw, it was the man in our dreams”. Andrew said.

  ” Yes, they are right, I saw him too, Mom,Grandpa, you needed to see a clear difference, Andrew and Adrian have the same similarity with the man, I was shocked as well”. Gabriel said.

   “It doesn’t make sense to me, there are people who can share the same similarity”. Mr.Leonard said.

   ” You think so, Grandpa?”.Adrian asked.

   “I know so, my child”. he said and they sighed tiredly as Victoria was lost in deep thought about what her kids said.

     ••CALIFORNIA STATE ••

      ~~Hospital~~

  Elizabeth was ignoring Spike’s calls due to what happened between them that night.

 ••Flashback•••

   That same night, after she collapses Spike carries her to the bedroom, and the thought of claiming her ignites his muscles as the potion in the water starts to intoxicate him. The liquid substance contains flibanserin which increases sexual desire and once the person gets intoxicated by the drugs and lays with a woman, he will become hers forever and it also contains magic love potion.

  Spike couldn’t control his urge anymore and he started to take off her clothes, Elizabeth finally regained consciousness and she noticed Spike on top of her trying to undo her clothes. She screamed and pushed him off.

   ” How dare you! Get out of here”. She said angrily squeezing herself on the bed.

   “Come on Elizabeth, I love you, don’t push me away, I want you badly “.

   ” You must be sick in the head, how dare you try to touch me with those filthy hands, are you out of your mind? Don’t you know who I am”.She quarrels.

   “I don’t care, please let me have you”. He rushed to her and started placing kisses on her body, Elizabeth was struggling hard with him.

   ” Let me go you beast!”. She screamed out. “Let me go!”. She struggles hard with him, But Spike overpowers her as he pinned her two hands to the bed and ripped off her clothes. ” No! Someone help me!”. She cried out.

   “Am sorry Elizabeth, I love you so much”. He said with his hand still pinned on hers, he started to undo his trousers.

   ” Spike don’t do this!”. She sobs.” Please!”. She screams as Spike spaces her legs and thrusts inside her drastically.”No!!! Please stop!”. She sobs bitterly as he continues to thrust inside her.

  Some minutes later, Elizabeth was crying bitterly on the bed as her clothes were torn into pieces, Spike came to his senses and tried to apologize to her.

   ” Am sorry, I didn’t mean to do it, you should know I was intoxicated by the potion, please forgive me”. He said feeling regretful.

   “Get out! Stay away from me!”. She yelled at him and continued crying.

  ” Am sorry, just know I will take responsibility for what happened, I love you so much, please don’t hate me, I will come and see you later”. he picked up his clothes and left the room. Elizabeth kept weeping uncontrollably.

~~Flashback ends~~

   “You beast, I will kill you for this!”. She grunts angrily.

  Victoria was working in her study room when her father entered.

   ” What are you working on dear?”. He asked as he sat down.

    “Am trying to prepare for the party, you know we just have this week to organize everything”.

    ” But that isn’t your job to do, that’s why I hired an event planner”.

    “You did that already, Dad?”.

   ” Yes, I don’t want you to be stressed out, you should relax and let the event planner do their work, you can only be a supervisor to them”.

    “OK, that will help”. They smiled at each other.

   ” Time to go to bed”. They stood up and left.

   Alex was standing on the balcony and was on the phone with his mother.

📞”Why did you travel all of a sudden?”.Mrs. Stella asked from the other end.

📞”Mom, I have a party here to attend next week and also to relax my mind”.

📞”When are you returning home?”.

 📞”Soon, I will be back before New Year’s Eve”.

📞”OK, take care of yourself”.

📞” I will Mom, I love you”. He hung up and sighed as he stared at the sky.

   Meanwhile, Victoria was having a nightmare, she kept tossing around her bed and then she jerked up trying to catch her breath.

   Days passed and Elizabeth kept ignoring Spike’s calls and messages. After work hours, she came home but was stopped by Spike on the way.

    “Why are you avoiding me?”. he asked holding her hand and Elizabeth flipped off his hand from hers.

    ” How dare you touch me!”.She yelled.”Didn’t I warn you to stop following me around? Leave me alone”. She said and turned to leave, but Spike stopped her.

   “You can’t get rid of me that easily, I mean we have come a long way”.

   ” I will, you are nothing but a rapist, you force your way into me and you expect me to forgive you”.

   “You know it wasn’t my fault, I was intoxicated, I noticed what I did was because of the potion”.

    ” And you ruin everything, that potion was meant for Alex and not you”.

   “I know and I am deeply sorry, I have learned from my mistake, the spell has been undo. I went to see the seer and she gave me the cure, that’s why I am here to apologize”. he said sincerely.

    ” Well is too late, I no longer need your services anymore, just stay away from me”.She said and walked away. Spike sighed and stared after her.

   Alex was having his lunch at the hotel restaurant, Just then he felt someone present and stopped eating. He stares around the place confusedly.

    “Aurora? Why do I feel your presence here all of a sudden”. He sighed and thought for a while before he resumed his food.

   Meanwhile, Victoria came out of the same hotel after meeting with her clients, she got to the car and it zoomed off.

    ••Leonard mansion••

    Gabriel was in his room talking on the phone with Madison while Andrew and Adrian hid spying on him.

 📞”Yeah, so will you come with your family to the party? I would really love it, if you showed up, so we can have enough time for ourselves”. He said smiling and there was a pause.” OK, I will be honored to have you at the party”. he giggles.

   “He has really lost it,” Adrian said quietly.

   “Quiet, don’t let him hear you”. Andrew said.

  📞” I will tell you everything you need to know, but for the question you ask if Mrs. Victoria is my real mom, well, she is not really my biological mom, I will tell you all about it at the party”. he said and continued chatting with her.

    “Let’s go before he sees us”. Andrew said and they left.

   Victoria was working on her desk and there was a knock, she asked the person to come in and Lisa entered.

    “Not happy to see me?”. she feigns a frown.

    ” Of course not, I am happy to see you” They smile at each other. “So, tell me, what brings you to my office?”.

    ” Well, I stop by to bring lunch for my baby”. she said.

   “I knew it”. They chuckle.

   ” You can’t blame me, he is too tempted to resist”.

    “You are silly”. They laughed.

   ” So, tell me, how did your date go with Lonnie?”.

  “It was good”.

    ” Really? Tell me more”.

    “There is nothing to tell”.

   ” What are you hiding? Have you started to develop likeness for him?”.

   “I never said I hate him”.

   ” That’s not what I meant”.

    “We are just friends, Lisa, and I am still trying my best to open up to him, just that I feel something is drawing me back not to”.

    ” And what could that be?”.

   “I have no idea”.

    ” Well, I will advise you to give it a thought”.

    “I will try”.

    ” So, pack up, and let’s go”.

    “Where are we going?”.

    ” Is lunchtime, don’t worry, bills are on me “. She said.

    ” Ok” She stood up and they left.

   Both were seated on their bed looking moody, Gabriel walked in to see their paled look.

    “What happened to you two? Why are you looking like this? Did something happen?”. He asked curiously as he sat between them.

    ” Nothing really happened, is just that…”Andrew said.

     “That what, you both are scaring me”.

    ” We had the same dream again Gabriel”. Adrian said and Gabriel sighed in relief.

    “Gosh, you two scared me, I thought something happened to you two”. He said and sighed.” Is it the same dream of you seeing a man?”.

    “Yes, this time it felt real, the man was handsome and caring”. Adrian said.

    ” Did you see his face this time?”. 

    “Yes”. Andrew said.

   “We look a little alike and believe we were so drawn to him and wish to never let go of him,” Adrian said.

    “Wow, this sounds interesting, you two are having the same dream at the same time”.

    ” Who do you think that man can be? Could it be that, he is our father?”.Andrew asked.

    “I don’t know, I think we should tell Mom about this”. Gabriel said.

    ” You think so?”.Adrian asked.

    “Yeah, I guess it will help explain the dream”. he said and they sighed.

  The whole family was having their dinner and Victoria saw the paled look on their faces.

    ” What’s wrong Andrew and Adrian? Is there something bothering you?”. She asked.

   “I was mainly to ask”. Mr.Loanard said.” What’s wrong kids?”.

   “Nothing, is just that we are bothered about something”. Adrian said.

    ” What could that be dear?”.Victoria asked.

   “Mom, what’s our dad like?”.Andrew asked. Victoria was shocked by the words including her father.” Please tell us Mom, you have never told us what he actually looks like”.

    “Andrew why are you asking this question all of a sudden?”. Mr. Leonard asked confusedly.

   ” Grandpa is not their fault, they are just curious to ask because of the dream they are constantly having”.Gabriel said.

    “A dream? What dream?”. Victoria asked curiously.

    ” Adrian and I have been having this dream of seeing a man and we look so much alike a little”.Andrew said.

    “For how long have you two been having this dream?”. Mr. Leonard asked.

    “It has been long grandfather, it started on our three years birthday, and we never understood it until the man kept appearing to us”. Adrian said.

    “Was it scary?”. She asked.

   ” No Mom, it was amazing, Adrian and I were so happy to be with him and we wish he would remain”. Andrew said and Victoria sighed.

    “Did our Dad abandon us or did he die way before we were born”. Adrian asked.

   ” I wish I had the answer to it, but I don’t”.Victoria said sadly.

    “Come on kids, don’t stress your mother, let’s eat and I will tell you all about it someday, ok?”.

    ” Ok, grandpa”. They said and continued eating but Victoria was still looking pale.

  Some hours later, the kids had gone to bed, Victoria was standing by the balcony of her room looking lonely and lost in thought, suddenly, she felt goosebumps and also felt a phantom touch around her.

   “What’s this feeling? Why do I keep having them?”. She sighs confusedly.

   ” Are you ok?”.Mr.Leonard asks from behind as he moves to join her.

    “I don’t know Dad”.

    ” Are you worried about what the kids said?”.

   “I guess so, I also want to know who their father was”.

   “I understand you, but time will tell”. he said.

    ” I want to remember everything that happened, it’s as if someone far away is yawning for me”.

    “How do you mean?”.

   ” I do have this feeling all the time that I am being missed by someone and I can’t understand it”.She sighed and rested her head on her father’s shoulder.

    “Is going to be fine”. He reassures her and pats her shoulder.

  Alex came to the hospital to answer Luke’s call, he was seated in his office waiting for him, and not too long after, Luke came over.

   ” Am sorry I kept you waiting”.He apologizes.

    “Is ok, you sent for me urgently”. Alex said.

    ” Yes, I find something and I want you to see for yourself”. He handed over a brown envelope to him. Alex took it and opened the envelope as he brought out a white paper, he glanced through it for a while and was surprised.

    “What?”. He said surprisedly and looked at Luke.” How do you get this? Was Aurora pregnant?”.

    “I guess she was, I was searching for something on the computer in the laboratory and I happened to find this in the old files on the system”. He said and Alex fell loose on the chair.

    ” Oh no”.

    “According to what my assistant told me, he said Aurora came to run some tests because she wasn’t feeling too fine, he asked a nurse to take her blood sample and see what was wrong, but something happened, one of the nurses mistakenly poured water on the computer and it went blank and they thought the file was deleted since the computer went blank, but I am surprised the files is in the system”. He explained 

   ” What is the point of hearing the good news when she is not here”.

    “I am sorry about that”.

   ” This so unfair”. he said with his head bowed and tears crawling out from his eyes.

   “Don’t be like that, Alex, am sure there is a reason why this happens”.

    ” What reason could it be? Why does it have to be my Aurora, why?”. he sniffs.

    “Come on Alex”.

   ” I can’t, I can’t do this anymore”. he stood up and rushed out of the office, Luke tried to call him back, but he ignored him.

   Meanwhile, Elizabeth and Spike were at the corner of the hospital building.

    “Did you get the potion?”. She asked.

    ” Yes I did”. he said and gave her a little bottle containing the liquid substance.

    “How do I use it?”.

   ” According to what the seer said, she said you should add a little drop on his food or drink and when he drinks or eats that food, he will be yours forever”.He explains.

    “Really? This is very easy, but is not going to be possible”.

    ” How?”.

   “How do I get him to eat my food or drink anything?”.

   ” You can do anything to get his attention, fake a robbery attack, leave that to me, I will do that, make him come to your house”.

    “You think that will work?”.

    ” Believe me, it will”. he said and Elizabeth jumped up happily.

    “Good, we should do it today, am off night duty today, you can go to my house and start the plan”. She handed over the keys to him.

    ” Let’s do this”. He said and walked away.

   “yes! Finally! he will be mine”.

     ••Alex Mansion••

  Alex was packing his suitcase and at the same time on the phone with Richard.

📞” Really? Aurora was pregnant?”.Richard asked from the other end of the phone confusedly.

 📞”Yes, it was the day she went missing, and I am sure someone was responsible for Aurora’s disappearance”.He said.

📞”You really think so? But who could that be?”.

📞”I have no idea, but whoever did that will get it hard from me”.

📞”I support you on that, so where are you going now?”.

 📞”To Florida, I want to spend some time there for the main time and also to attend a party I was invited to by one of my highest investors”.

📞”OK, that’s great, what time are you leaving?”.

📞”Tonight, I have already booked a flight and it will take off by eleven”.

📞”Alright man, best of luck”.

 📞”Sure, kiss little Aurora for me and tell her I will be away for some time and I will be back before New Year’s Eve”.

📞”Sure, I will do that, call me when you get there”.

📞”I will”. He hung up and left for the bathroom to freshen up after arranging his luggage.

 Several years later, it was wintertime in Florida and everywhere was filled with snow. Christmas was fast approaching and everyone was getting ready, each house where decorated with Christmas trees and light, making it look beautiful. 

   ••LEONARD MANSION••

   Leonard is an elderly man in his late sixties, he owns the largest business in the city of Florida and the most richest and famous man in wine dealing. He had only one daughter named Victoria and three grandsons named Gabriel who is sixteen years old and then the two identical twins named Andrew and Adrian who just clock four years. Due to his age, he decided to make his daughter the CEO of the company and also run the business for him.

   Mr.Leonard was eating at the dining table with Gabriel, then Victoria rushed out of her room getting late for work.

   “Andrew! Adrian! Hurry up you two am getting late”. She yelled.

   ” Aren’t you going to have breakfast first?”.Mr. Leonard asked sipping from his coffee.

   “No, Dad, am running late for work, I have an important investor coming today and I don’t want to be late”.She sighed and called out to the twins again. ” Where the heck are those kids, is the last day of school”.

   “Relax Mom, you should know, how clumsy they can be”. Gabriel said.

   ” We heard that”. Andrew and Adrian said from the staircase as they rushed to hug their mother.

    “Sorry Mom, for keeping you waiting”. Andrew apologizes.

    ” Is ok, now let’s go”.She said.

   “Let them have their breakfast first”. Mr. Leonard said.

    “We have already had our breakfast Grandpa, nanny served us earlier in our room”. Adrian said.

   “OK, you three should take care of yourself, Gabriel takes care of your brothers”. He said. 

    ” Of course Grandpa, I will”. he said smiling.

   “Shall we go now”. Victoria said. The kids kissed their grandfather on the cheek and left with their mother, they entered the car and drove out.

   “Mom, are you having an important guest coming today?”. Andrew asked.

    ” Yes dear, why did you ask?”.

   “Because you look extremely gorgeous today”. He said and Victoria smiled.

   ” This isn’t the first time Mom has looked gorgeous, she is always pretty, and I am lucky to have a pretty mom, do you know all our peers in school are jealous of our mom”.Adrian said.

   “Really son?”.

   ” Yes Mom, you are the prettiest mom in the world”. Adrian said.

   “Yeah, we all know that, can you two just shut it, am trying to concentrate here”. Gabriel said.

    ” Concentrate on what, are you rehashing your love letter to Madison?”. Adrian teased and they laughed.

    “Who is Madison?”. Victoria asked.

    ” Gabriel’s crush”. Andrew said.

    “Of course not, she is not my crush”. he said and frowned at Andrew and Adrian.” Aren’t you two being nosey”.

   “Is the truth, don’t deny it”. Andrew said.

   ” Alright, enough you two, if Gabriel is having a crush on someone, let him be, stop teasing him with it, remember he is grown up and soon be out of college”. She said and Gabriel smiled

    “Thank you, Mom,”.he said. Andrew and Adrian groan tiredly at him.

    ” We are not in support of your crush on Madison that girl is not even that pretty”. Adrian blasted and got a hit on the head.”Ouch”.

    “He is right though”. Andrew supported.

    ” You two can say whatever you like, my heart still beats for her”. he grins.

    “So, you do have a crush on her….you have a bad taste, big bro,”. Andrew said.

    ” Andrew and Adrian, stop it already”.

     “Fine!”. they said and grinned at Gabriel.

     ” We are here”. She said and the driver parked in front of the school gate and the children came out.”You guys should take care of yourself, I love you”.

     ALL:”Love you too Mom!”

    “Bye”. She waved at them and the driver drove.

    ” Last day in school, so cool”.Gabriel said smiling.

    “Please don’t propose to Madison in front of us today”. Adrian said.

    ” Who says I was going to do that? Even if I want to, is none of your business”. He said and walked away. They sighed after him.

   “Big Brother is heading to his doom”. Andrew said and they left to meet their friends who yelled out their names.

    ••Leonard’s company••

   After the meeting with the investor, Victoria left with her PA to her office.

    “Anything else?”.She asked.

   “Yes ma, your dinner date with Mr. Lonnie is today at three pm in Columbia restaurant”. He said and She sighs.

    ” Is that still on?”.

   “Yes ma, you have ditched him many times, I think you should give him a chance”. he said.

   ” You and I know, I don’t like him, is just because of the business deal we had and he is trying to mix business with pleasure”. Victoria said.

   “You can’t literally date him, is just a normal date, don’t ditch him this time”.

   ” Fine! I won’t “.

   ” Good, I will inform him”. He said and walked away.

  Victoria continued with her work, and then her cell phone rang, she smiled to see the Caller ID.

   📞”Hey bestie”.

   📞”I heard you finally agreed to go on a date with Mr. Lonnie”. Lisa said from the other end of the phone.

  📞”How did you…..oh, let me guess, Frank told you”.

   📞”Yeah, he is my boyfriend and also your PA, so he never hides anything concerning your relationship life from me”.

  📞”Yeah, maybe I should fire him”.

  📞”Don’t you dare! You know we are planning for our wedding”.

  📞”Yeah, right “. They giggle.

  📞” So, what are you wearing for the date?”.

  📞”Come on Lisa, do I have to look good for the date, I will just go after work”.

 📞”Come on Victoria, that guy has been asking you out for decay now, you have to look your best for him, you never can tell, he might be your companion and a lovely father to your adorable kids, you know he loves them so much”.

 📞”Yeah, but–“.

  📞”No but, try and give him a chance, he is a nice and successful businessman”. 

  📞”Lisa, I know, Lonnie is a nice guy, is just that, I just don’t see myself liking him as someone I want to spend the rest of my life with, I just want to be friends with him”.

 📞”Unfortunately, Mr. Lover Boy doesn’t want that, but not to worry, everything will be fine”.

 📞”I hope so”.

  📞”Anyways, good luck on your date”.

  📞”Thank you, I will talk to you later”. She hung up and let out a sigh.

   Later in the day, Victoria came to meet Lonnie at the restaurant, he was waiting for her, and immediately he saw her, he stood up and welcomed her with a kiss on the cheek.

   “Thank you for coming”. He said and adjusted the chair for her to sit.

   ” Thank you, am sorry for keeping you waiting “. she apologizes sincerely.

    ” Is ok, is good that you are here”. he smiled and then the waiter came to take their order.

   After a while, the waiter came with their order and they started eating while having a conversation with each other.

    Later in the day, after the amazing date with Lonnie, she drove to school to pick up her kids.

   “How was school today?”. She asked immediately after the kids entered the car.

    ” Fine, but why did you come to pick us up, aren’t you stressed out from work?”. Gabriel asked.

   “Is it a bad thing to pick up my kids from school?”.

    ” Not at all Mom, we are just concerned about your health, I know it’s stressful at work, you could have just gone home and allowed the driver to come pick us up “.Andrew said.

    ” Don’t worry kids, am fine”.

   “Did your meeting with the investor go well?”. Adrian asked.

   ” Yes, it was a success and they will be investing with us”.

   “That’s good news”. Gabriel said.

    ” Congratulations Mom”. Andrew and Adrian said.

    “Thank you”. they smile at each other.

   Aurora was seated in the lobby after getting her test done and waiting for the result when her cell phone rang.

   📞”Hey Nina”. She said on the phone.

   📞”How is going?”.Nina asked from the other end of the phone.

  📞”I am waiting for the test result”.

  📞”Ok, don’t worry, it’s gonna be fine”.

  📞”Yeah, I will see you later”. She hung up and sighed.

  Elizabeth was walking along the hallway when suddenly she paused as she caught sight of Aurora seated in the lobby.

    “What is she doing here? Is Alex with her too?”. She wonders and then she stops a nurse walking by. ” Excuse me”. She called and the nurse moved to her.”Sorry for calling you, but I just wanted to know what that lady is here for?”

  👩⚕️”Oh, you mean her?”She asked and Elizabeth nodded.”She came here to run some tests, and one of the nurses attended to her, so she is waiting for the result “.

    ” Ok, I guess they are still in the laboratory?”.

    👩⚕️”Yes”.

    “OK, thank you very much”. she said and the nurse walked away. ” Let it not be what I am thinking”. She rushed to the laboratory and saw the nurse working on the computer.”Hey”.

   👩⚕️”Hey”.

   “Sorry to ask, are you the one assigned to work on Ms. Aurora’s test result?”.

  👩⚕️” Yes, am working on it now, it will take some time”.

   “Ok, do you know what could be wrong with her?”.

   👩⚕️” Not sure, but my instincts are saying she might be pregnant”. She said and Elizabeth gasped.

    “Really?”.

    👩⚕️” Not sure, but, let’s just hope is true”.

    “Ok”. She moves around and fetches water from the dispenser and moves to her, she pretends to watch what she is doing and pours the water on the keyboard and the computer goes blank” Oh, my am sorry, my hand slipped “. She said helping the nurse to clean up.

    👩⚕️” What have you done, I didn’t even save my work”.

    “Am so sorry, it was an accident”.

   👩⚕️” What do you want me to do now, what do I tell the doctor and the lady”.

    “Am so sorry”. She apologized and the nurse sighed tiredly and she left to inform the doctor what happened. Elizabeth smirks as she stares after her and then walks away.

   Aurora came out of the building after the doctor informed them of the mistake that happened and that she should come back for another test tomorrow. She was waiting when a cab drove towards her and stopped, she entered and it drove off.

   Some hours later, Nina was already dressed up for dinner, and when she heard a car horn and she knew it was Richard. She came out looking gorgeous in her wear and Richard was amazed.

    ” Wow! You look breathtaking”. he compliments her and moves to her, he takes her hand and places a kiss on it.”Shall we?”.

   “Sure”. They entered the car and drove off

   Mrs Stella had already prepared different meals and was waiting for the guest’s arrival. Not too long after, Alex drove into the compound, he got a test from Aurora telling him to go and that he would meet him there, Alex was a little odd by the message, but he just had to yield to it.

    “You are here”. Mrs.Stella said as she rushed to hug him, after a while, they pulled away from each other.” You look so handsome”.

    “Thank you, Mom”. They smile at each other.” Where is grandfather?”.

    “Am here”. he said as he climbed down the staircase and hugged Alex.” Is so good to see you again son”.

     “Thank you, grandfather, how have you been?”. he asked as they pulled away from each other.

    ” Never been better”. They chuckle.

    “Where are your guests? Aren’t they coming?”. Mrs. Stella asked.

    ” Richard and his fiancee are on their way”.

     “OK, what about your special guests we are meeting today?”.He asked and Alex blushed.

   ” She will be joining us soon, grandfather”. 

    “Why didn’t you come with her?”. Mrs. Stella asked.

     ” She is caught up with something, not to worry, she will be joining us soon”. He said and they left to the dining table.

   Some minutes later, Richard and Nina arrived and they were welcomed in warmly by Mrs. Stella. Richard introduced Nina to them as his fiancee and they complimented her. Alex became worried as he wondered why Aurora was not here yet, he tried her number, but it wasn’t connecting.

    “Son, your guest is not coming anymore”. She asked.

    “Am wondering why she is not here yet”. He said.

     ” Try calling her”. Richard said.

    “Is not connecting”.

    ” Maybe she is on her way, you should know how traffic behaves”.Nina said.

    “Yes, let’s wait for a while”. his grandfather said.

  Meanwhile, in a deep bush, Aurora was unconscious in the cab she entered at the hospital. She started to regain herself as the side of her head was bleeding.

    ” Ah!”.She groans in pain and then realizes what happened earlier, the cab man lost control of his break and ran into the bush. “Oh no”. She looked around the car and noticed the driver was not in the driver’s seat, she tried to open the door but it was locked.” Help! Someone help! Am stuck!”. She screamed hitting the door and struggling to go out. “Oh no, how do I get out of here”. She searched for her bag and couldn’t find it. ” Where is my bag?”. She wondered and continued knocking on the door and screaming for help.

    Suddenly, the car started moving on its own heading deep into the bush, Aurora kept screaming for help.

    “So long Aurora, you are going to be missed”. Elizabeth said staring at her from afar with Spike.

   It was their plan, Spike was the cab man driving the cab, he intentionally lost control of the car and it crashed into the bush for Aurora to get hurt. After that, they lock all the doors of the car and turn on the car engine automatically to drive on its own and crash into pieces. Aurora was still screaming for help and struggling to come out. On the peak of the car crashing into a mighty tree, the door forcefully opened and she jumped out and the car crashed and exploded. Elizabeth and Spike were surprised at how she managed to escape. 

     ” Find her”. She instructed and Spike walked away.

   Everyone became worried about why Aurora was taking too long.

    “Am going to her place to see if she is there, am not feeling good about this “. Alex said.

   ” Yes, son, you should go”. His grandfather said.

    “Am coming with you”. Richard said.

    ” No, Richard, you stay behind”.

    “Are you sure?”.

    ” Yes, I will be back”. He said and walked away and they sighed.

    “I have never seen him this panicked before”. Mrs. Stella said. ” I hope she is safe”.

       “I hope so too”. 

   Aurora became weak after getting blasted by the explosion of the car, she crawled away to a place where she could be seen. Just then spike stood at her front.

    ” Going somewhere?”. He smirks and Aurora raises her face at him.

    “Who are you? Please help me”. She said weakly.

     ” Am sorry I am not here to help you but to end your life”.

    “What? How do you mean?”.

    ” You will know soon”. He drags her up and Aurora struggles with him.

    “Let me go”. she said as he continued to drag her along, then she bit his hand. Spike let go of her hand quickly groaning in pain and she ran off while he chased after her.

    ” You are dead meat!”. he said angrily and continue to chased after her and he finally caught her because she was looking weak. “You moron!”. He hit her hard in the face and she fell unconscious. ” This is your end”. He lifts her on his shoulder and walks away.

   Alex arrived at Aurora’s house, he knocked on the door and her grandmother came out.

     “Good day ma “. He greeted politely.

     ” Good day to you too, what brought you here?”.

    “Um, Is Aurora in, am here to pick her up”.

    ” No, she hasn’t returned from work, I thought maybe she was working late as usual”. She said and Alex was confused.

    “Are you sure?”.

    ” Yes, is everything ok? Is my granddaughter in trouble?”.She panicked.

    “No granny she is not, we were supposed to go on a dinner date today and she told me not to come pick her up, so, I was worried she might still be home that’s why is taking so long”.

    ” I haven’t seen her since she left for work this morning”.

    “OK granny, you don’t have to worry, am guessing she is on her way to the place,”.he said.

    “OK, if you say so”.

    ” I will be on my way now”. he left for his car and she went inside. Alex phoned Richard. 📞”Is Aurora there yet?”.

  📞”No man, isn’t she at home?”. Richard asked from the other end of the phone.

 📞”No, I am getting worried, what if something has happened to her?”.

  📞”Don’t think like that, am sure she will be fine, just come over”.

📞”Sure”. He hung up and drove away.

  I couldn’t get over what Alex did to me and I was sour all through the day.

   “Why do you have that look on your face?”. Nina asked interrupting me and I sighed.”You are not eating your food”.

   ” I just lost my appetite”.

   “What happened? You have been sour all day, did you fight with Alex”.

   ” Worst than a fight”. I said.

   “Hmm, you two are having a couple  fights, you wanna tell me what happened? Is it about the hang-out the other night?”. She asked and I nodded. ” What? he got angry?”. 

   “It would have been better, I got the hardest punishment of my life”. I said and Nina pushed closer to me.

   ” What did he do to you, I want to know”.

I sighed.”Believe me, you don’t want to know”. I sip from my juice.

   “Hmm, I guess the punishment was something annoying that’s why you are pissed off”.

   ” Exactly! He got me in the mood and left, saying is my punishment for disobeying him, do you know what it means to leave one caving for your touch”. I gulp my drink angrily and Nina giggles. “Not funny, am suffocating here”.

   ” Am sorry, I just can’t help it, you mean he did that to you?”.

   “Yes, and right now I am not over it, I still need his touch over me and I am yawning for his kisses….Why does he have to have all the tricks to make a woman yawn for him”. I grunts.

   ” I totally understand your pain, but that’s too much, have you tried to get close to him today if–“.

  “The annoying thing is that he is not in the office, he had a business meeting to attend, I still wonder how he found out”. I said confusedly.

  ” Am sorry, I guess is my fault, I was too drunk that I didn’t know when I called Richard”. she said and I turned to her.

    “You did?”. I asked and she nodded innocently and I sighed at her.

  ” don’t be stressed about it, he will come around”. Nina said.

   “I don’t care anymore”. I said angrily.

   ” You know you can’t hide it, you two are obsessed with each other and you can resist him”.

   “I will, I will overcome it, trust me”. I smirk.

   ” Ok fine! Have it your way”. Nina said and we went quiet for a while.

   “What about you? how did it go with Richard?” I asked and she blushed “Something special happened between the two of you?”.

   ” Yes”. She nodded.

    “Really? You guys finally did it”. I said happily.

    ” Yeah, it was perfect and it felt like my first time, Richard is such a perfect and passionate guy”. she said blushing.

    “Aww, am so happy for you, at least one of us has to get laid”.

   ” Yeah, but do you know he actually knows about my past with my uncle?”.

   “He knows? How?”.

   ” He had to confront him two days after he was jailed and he said he told him everything and even regretted his action”.

   “Oh, he knew all these while, he is such a daring man, I am glad you two are together”.

    ” I know right”. We laughed and my eyes suddenly caught sight of a familiar lady heading to Alex’s office with a lunch bag.”What are you staring at?”.

    “That lady”. I said and Nina turned in the direction.

    ” Do you know her? She looks familiar”.

    “Yeah, she was in the hospital that day we came to visit Richard”.

   “Oh, but why is she here? And she is heading to Alex’s office, I thought you said he is out for a business meeting”.

    ” Yeah”. I stood up. “Excuse me “. I rushed to her quickly when she tried to open the door. ” Excuse me miss”. I said politely and she stopped and turned in my direction. She looked at me surprisedly I guess she remembered my face. 

    “I know you, you were with Alex at the hospital when he came to see Richard”. She said.

    ” Yes”. I replied.

    “Oh, you work here?”.

    ” Yes, I do”.

    “Oh, I thought as much, anyway, am here to see Alex “. She turned to leave and I stopped her.

   ” He is not around, he is out for a business meeting”.

    “Oh really? But I just got off the phone with him before I left work and he said he was in his office”. She said and I was surprised.

    ” He did?”.

    “Yeah”. She stared at me for a while and spoke.” Are you his secretary?”. I nodded. “Oh, I see, I guess you are not doing your job well as a secretary, you should know when your boss goes out and come in”. She said unlikely and walked away

   I was stunned by her attitude and I rushed to stop her, but to my greatest surprise, I saw Alex in his office working on his laptop, immediately he saw her, he stopped to welcome her and they hugged and pecked each other before they sat down. I was pissed off and I had to go back to the canteen to continue my lunch.

    ” What happened?”.Nina asked.

    “Alex is in his office”. I said biting my apple angrily.

    ” When did he arrive? How come you didn’t know about it?”.

   “I don’t know, he invited the lady over, how cunning can he be”. I blunted.

   ” I guess is nothing serious going on between them”.

   “Really? She brought lunch for him, and I know right now they are having the meal together”. I frowned.

  Some minutes later, I returned to my office to see Alex walking the lady out of his office, I could see the smiles on their faces. “You are reading from www.mhiztaemy.com.ng”I sat down and started operating my laptop, after a while, Alex came over standing in front of me.

    ” Do I have any schedule today?”. He asked and I ignored him pretending I didn’t hear him.”Aurora?”.he called 

   ” I will read it to you in your office”. I replied without looking at him, I noticed his hesitation before he left for his office. I sighed and I took my iPad and left for his office and started reading the schedule for him.”You will be having–“.I got interrupted.

   “Is something wrong?”. he asked staring at me.

   ” what do you mean?”.

   “Your cold attitude towards me”.

   ” No sir”.

    “Sir? Since when did you start referring to me as ‘Sir’”. He asked as he stood up and moved toward me.” Are you angry?”.

    “No, if you don’t mind, may I continue?”. I asked and I continued reading. ” And the remainder of your family masquerade party this weekend, that’s all”.

     “Will you come to the party?”.

    ” Yeah, I am your Secretary after all, so I go where you go, if you don’t mind I would like to go back to work”. I turned to leave, but he stopped me.

    “Aurora, please don’t be upset with me, if you are angry about Elizabeth coming to my office–“.

 I cut him short.” No, I am not”. I smiled forcedly at him. “If only you knew how miserable I am right now for making me cave for you, but I will wait to see who approaches each other first”. I thought and walked away. I could still feel his gaze on me.

   Later at home, I was helping my grandmother in the kitchen with the thought of Alex was still in mind, I refused him for a lift home today and I know he is restless why I am avoiding him, I just have to, for him to feel the pain I am feeling. I noticed my phone ringing to no-stop and I knew it was a call from Alex.

    ” Aren’t you going to answer that?”.My grandmother asked.

   “No granny is not important”.

   ” Are you sure? It could be from your company”. 

   “No Granny, is just some random call”. I said and took my phone from the dining.” I will be in my room”. I left.

  NARRATOR POV

  Meanwhile, Alex was feeling restless in his room as Aurora refused to pick up his call.

  💬”Please pick up, I really want to speak to you”. He texted and waited for a reply, but none but it was read. “Come on Aurora, I dying here if you don’t respond to my messages or calls, am sorry if it was what happened at the office today, Elizabeth just came to share lunch with me at the office, nothing more, I don’t have any serious relationship with her, please talk to me”. He texted and waited for a reply, but none came from Aurora. he sighed frustratedly and fell on the bed staring at the ceiling. Then his cell phone rang, he checked the caller ID quickly and sighed thinking it was Aurora.📞” Hello Mom”. he said as he picked up.

  📞”Hello son, how are you?”.She asked from the other end of the phone.

   📞”Am fine, and you? How is Grandpa?”.

  📞”We are fine, how is Nora and the baby?”.

  📞”Fine mom”.

   📞”Good, I just called to check up on you and to also remind you of the party this weekend”.

  📞”I know Mom, I will be there”.

   📞”Sure, bring Nora along”.

   📞”I will”.

   📞”Good night son, I love you”.

   📞”Love you too Mom, good night “. He hung up and sighed.

    Elizabeth was in her room and was on the phone with Spike.

  📞” Yes, the party will be a better way to expose her dirty secret”. She laughed.”This is beginning to feel like fun, I can’t believe she will do something like that, this will be her end, I deserve Alex better and I will have him all to myself”. She laughed and then hung up. “This is just the beginning”. She smirks staring at one spot.

     The next day at the office Alex was so occupied with work that he didn’t have enough time to settle with Aurora, the same goes for Aurora who was busy trying to put things together and they never had time to sit down and talk until Alex had to travel three days for a business trip, Aurora had to stay behind to handle the rest work.

    ” Oh really, you expect me to believe that? He invited you over to the family dinner and you expect me to believe nothing is going on?”.

   “Am sorry ma, I didn’t mean trouble, Richard and I are not in any serious relationship, we are just friends”.

   ” Will you shut that thing you called a mouth, do you really think I will allow my son to have anything with a cheap whore like you. You are not fit here, I can never allow my son to stoop so low to someone like you, I know why you are all over my son, is because of his money and I know how you bed men for their money”. She said harshly and Nina was in shock.”I won’t allow you to do that to my son, you are not his type and we will never welcome you to this family, So if you know what is good for you, you will stay far away from us or else” ” she smirks.” I will make sure I hunt you down and pour acid on this face of yours”. She threatened.

     “Am sorry ma, I promise not to go near your son again”. She said frightened.

    ” Good, you don’t know what I am capable of, I will ruin your life, but in case you don’t know, I have someone else for my son, a woman with great valve and self-esteem, on like you”. She said and Nina tried controlling her tears.”You will go in there, take your bag, and come up with an excuse to leave my house”.

     “I will ma”. She clears up her tears.

   ” I have eyes on you”. She said and walked away.

    “Where is Nina’s mom?”. Juliana asked.

    ” She is on the phone with someone”. She replied smiling.

   Just then, Nina walked in smiling forcedly.

    “Are you okay child?”. Mr. Wilson asked.

    ” Yes sir”.She picked up her handbag.”I have to leave now”.

    “Why? Is something wrong?”. Richard asked.

    ” Um, not, I just got over the phone with my mom, she is back in town and I need to go pick her up”.She lied.

    “Okay then, I will come with you”. Richard said standing up, but Nina stopped him.

    ” No, you don’t have to, I already called a cab, he is outside waiting for me”.

    “Ok, if you say so, we hope to see you again”. Ella said.

   ” It was nice to have you here”.Angel said.

     “Thank you all, it was an honor too, I will take my leave now”. She smiled and walked away.

    ” She is such a lovely girl”.Mr. Wilson said and Mrs. Judith scoffed.

    “Don’t be too sure about that, she might be innocent and dangerous at the same time”. She said.

    ” Why will you say that?”. Richard question.

     “Nothing, am just saying though”.

    ” It doesn’t matter, Nina doesn’t look like a bad person, she seems nice and I like her already”.Juliana said.

    “Me too”. Angel said.

    ” So, big brother, what is taking you so long to court her?”.Ella asked.

    “Why will he court her, have you girls forgotten there is someone else he likes”. Mrs. Judith said and they turned to her confusedly.

     ” Someone I like? Who mother?”.Richard asked confusedly.

    “Am talking about Elizabeth, your childhood friend”. She said smiling.

   ” Seriously, Mom, you and I know Elizabeth travel with her parents since she was a child”. Juliana said.

    “Yes I know, but the good news is that she will be coming to town with her parents next month”. 

    ” And you assume that I liked her? Elizabeth and I are just childhood friends, just like Alex and I, so, there is no string attached to it”. Richard said.

    “Yes, and I am sure by now, she must have gotten herself a boyfriend”. Ella said.

    ” I don’t think so, her mother didn’t tell me that”.

    “You communicate with her mother?”. Mr. Wilson asked.

    ” Yes, almost every day”. She said and everyone sighed.

  Meanwhile, Nina was in the backseat of the taxi lost in deep thought and there was heavy traffic on the road, and then the thunderclap.

    “I will get down from here”. She said to the driver and came down walking along the subway. Just then the rain started dropping.

    Everyone was running in different directions to hide from the rain including Nina, who found a fuel station and ran to hide with the others.

     Alex on the other hand was having dinner with Nora’s parents.

    ” Hope you are enjoying your food dear?”.Nora’s mother asked, and Alex nodded.

      “We are so happy you honor our invitation”. Nora’s father said.

     ” Sure”. he replied.

     They went mute for a while and then Nora’s mother broke the silent mood.

    “Before I forget, Alex, Nora”. She called and they raised their faces to her.” We have concluded that you two will get married immediately after the masquerade party”. She announced excitedly. Alex was surprised.

     “Really, mother?” Nora asked excitedly.

      “Yes dear”. Her father replied.

     ” Did my mother say that?”.Alex asked.

      “No, we all came to the conclusion together”. She said.

     ” Without letting me know about it, first?”. He said unhappily and stood up to leave.”Excuse me, I will take my leave now”. He walked away ignoring their calling.

     “Why is he like that?”. He asked.

     ” Don’t worry about it, he will be fine, he is just shocked about the news”.Nora said.

     “I hope he reconsiders”. She said and they continued eating.

   Alex was driving under the rain looking furious, he dialed his mother’s cell phone, and it rang for a while before it was picked up.

    📞” Hello Son”. She said on the other end of the phone.

    📞”Mom, why are you on the peck of ruining my happiness”. He said unlikely.

   📞”How do you mean son?” she asked confusedly.

   📞”Don’t play dumb with me, why did you set up a marriage date for me without my consent?”.

   📞”Son, calm down”.

   📞”Don’t tell me to calm down, you know what, I have had enough, am not a kid to toy with”. He hung up angrily

    He increased the speed of his car, and then his cell phone started v+br@ting, he saw the caller ID and ignored it, Suddenly, a car light flashed in his eyes, and he lost control of his brake and ran into a Pole causing him to lose consciousness.

    Meanwhile, Aurora came out to get water from the refrigerator, she filled the glass cup and it slipped off her hand.

   “Aurora”. Her granny called as she rushed down from the room because of the noise.” What happened? Are you okay?”. She asked curiously. Aurora went still as her heart started pounding fast. “Child?”. She moved to her and helped her sit on the chair.” What’s wrong?”.

    “Granny, my heart is troubled, it seems something is wrong”. She panicked.

    ” How do you mean?”.

    “I don’t know, maybe I should call Nina”. She dialed Nina’s number, and it rang for a while before it was picked up.

   📞 ” Hey Aurora”.Nina said.

    📞”Nina, are you ok? Are you home?”.She asked curiously.

   📞”Yes, I just got home”.

    📞”Ok”.She said with a sigh of relief.

   📞”What’s wrong Aurora, your voice sound troubled”.

   📞”I don’t know Nina, I just suddenly felt something isn’t right and my heart is beating fast”. 

  📞”Just calm down, maybe you are overthinking, have you called Alex, to check if he is fine”.

   📞”I will do just that now”. She hung up and dialed Alex’s number.

   “Just be calm”. She said.

  The phone rang, but no one was picking up, she dialed it again, and the same thing happened.

    ” He is not answering his phone”. She panicked.

    “Who?”.

    ” Alex!” she said quickly as she continued to dial his number.”Granny, am worried”.

    “Maybe he is not with his phone”.

    ” No granny, Alex is always with his phone and he never allows his phone to ring twice without picking it up”. She said and her grandmother tried to calm her down. Then, the phone rang and she picked it up quickly.  📞”Hello, Alex, are you ok?”.

   📞”Um, this is not Alex, the owner of this phone got involved in an accident and was rushed to the hospital”. The unknown guy said and Aurora’s heart flinched.

    📞”What?”She panicked as she stood up with tears in her eyes. “Please tell me he is fine, please”. She sobs and then hangs up after the man tells her the hospital Alex was rushed to.

     “What happened?”. 

    ” Alex was involved in an accident, I need to go right now”. She rushed quickly before her grandmother could say anything.

   ••Nora’s family home••

     “He is not answering his phone”. Nora said as she tried to connect with Alex’s phone.

    ” Maybe he wants to be alone”.Her mother said.

    “Fine”.She sighed.” Is not as if he will pick up my call anyway”. She sat down nonchalantly.

    “Does he ignore you like this even at home?”. His father asked.

    ” Am used to it, Dad”. She said as she picked up her bag to leave.”I will take my leave now”.

    “Why? Is still rainy”. She said.

   ” I know Mom, a cab is waiting for me outside”. She said and walked away. She came out of the house and rushed inside the car that was waiting for her”Did I keep you waiting?”. She asked smiling at Charles.

    “Not really, I missed you” ” He smiled and pulled her to sit on his lap as he ordered the cab man to drive.

    “You n+ughty being”. She said and they started kissing.

  Mrs Stella was pestering around the living room, her father came out to see her restless.

    ” Why are you restless?”. he asked.

    “Alex is the reason for my restlessness”.

    ” How? What did he do this time?”.

   “Dad is almost three weeks since he got engaged to Nora and he hasn’t shown any interest of going in further”.

    ” Further to where?”.

    “Seriously Father, I mean marriage, all my friends have been asking me when is the wedding and I have no words to say to them “.

   ” I told you this was a bad idea, you forced him into this”.

   “I didn’t Father, he got her pregnant and he needs to take responsibility for it”.

   ” if you hadn’t introduced Nora to him to be his fiancee, all these wouldn’t have happened”.

   “Seriously, Are you taking sides with him?”.

    ” He is my grandson and his happiness is my priority”. He said and walked away.

   Nora and Charles lay on the bed trying to catch their breath after a passionate s!x.

   ” Babe, you are sweet, have missed you so much”. Charles said as he cuddled Nora in his arms.

    “Me too, I can’t wait for this plan of ours to be over, so that I can fully have you to myself”.

   ” I can’t wait either, but has he picked up your calls or replied to your messages?”. He asked.

    “No, I am still hoping he does”.

   ” He won’t if we don’t plan to get his attention”.

    “Do you have a plan?”. She asked raising her face to him and he smiled nodding his head.

    Two days later, Nora was rushed to the hospital for an emergency, Alex rushed down after his mother called him to inform him of what happened.

    ” How is she?”. Alex asked and he was caught off guard as his mother slapped him on his face.”Mom!”.

    “This is all your fault! What has this innocent girl done to you that you have to abandon her and her child to go be with your mistress, aren’t you ashamed of yourself?”. She yelled at him and Nora’s mother tried to calm her down

    ” That’s enough Stella”. She said.

   “I am so ashamed of you and if anything happens to Nora and my grandchild, I will never forgive you”. She threatened and then the doctor came out.

   ” Doctor, how is my daughter?”. He asked.

   “Well, she is getting better, you all don’t need to worry, she will be fine”. he reassures them.

   ” Can we see her now?”. Mrs. Stella asked.

   “Yes, you may, but she is asleep now, don’t wake her up”.

   ” Okay, doctor”. they said to him and he left.

 

   They left the room to see Nora still fast asleep with drip fixed on her.

    “My poor baby”. her mother sobbed as she caressed her hand.

    ” We should be thankful that she is alright”. Her father said.

    “What happened to her? Don’t I deserve to know?”. he asked unlikely and his mother stared hard at him.

    ” We find her unconscious in her room, she kept crying for days saying you are not interested in the pregnancy anymore”.

    “Of course that is not true, I didn’t deny the fact that I will take responsibility for the child”. Alex said.

    ” You are not! Nora is carrying your child, all she needs is your attention and care”..Mrs Stella said and Alex sighed tiredly at her. “Be a man for once and take action for what you have done”.

      Alex left the room as he couldn’t stand his mother nagging, and then his cell phone rang, he saw the caller ID and picked it up.

  📞” Hey, how are you?”. Aurora asked from the other end of the phone and Alex sighed tiredly.

   📞”Fine”.he replied.

    📞”How is Nora and the baby? Are they fine?”.

   📞”The doctor said she is fine”.

   📞”That’s a relief “. She said. “Are you worried about it?”.

    📞” Not really, just avoiding my mom’s nagging”. he said and Aurora chuckled.

   📞”You can’t blame her, she is just worried about her grandchild”.

   📞”Yeah, but she is been too forward “.

   📞” Every mother in her condition will be worried about her grandchild, just try to understand her and please be cool with her”.

   📞”Am trying”. He sighs.”I miss you, I wish you were right here”.

    📞”Me too, but you have to be there for Nora and her baby”.

 📞”Sure”.

  📞”You shouldn’t worry about anything, everything will be fine”.

   📞”I hope so”. he sighed.”I love you Aurora and thank you for always standing by me”.

    📞”Is a pleasure”. They giggle on the phone.

    📞”I want to hang out with you tomorrow”.

   📞” I don’t think that will be possible Alex”.

   📞”Why?”.

   📞”You have to be with Nora”.

   📞”But I–“.

    📞”Come on Alex,”. she cut him short.” I will talk to you later, have a good night’s rest”.

   📞”I won’t have a good night’s rest when you just ditched me, I don’t care about anything right, I want to hang out with you tomorrow after work hours, so be ready, good night, I love you”.He hung up and sighed tiredly.

    “You were talking to her on the phone right?”. Mrs.Stella interrupted him from behind and he turned to her.” Alex, your fiancee is unconscious in there and you are here flirting with another woman on the phone. What is wrong with you?”.

   “Mom, please not now “. He said and walked away ignoring his mother’s calling.

  The Next day, Aurora was working in her office when Nina entered.

   ” Hey”. She said and Aurora raised her face to her as she sat down.

      “Hey”.

    ” Is Mr.Alex not coming to the office today?”.

   “I don’t know yet”.

    ” Didn’t you call him to confirm, is almost eleven pm and he is never late like this”.

    “Yeah, his fiancee was rushed to the hospital yesterday, I guess that’s why he is taking this long”.

    ” What happened to her?”.

    “I have no idea”.

    ” I know she is playing a trick on everyone to seek attention”.Nina said and Aurora sighed.

    “My worry is Alex”.

    ” I totally understand what he is going through in the hands of his mother pushing him against his will”.

    Meanwhile, Nora was awake and Alex sat next to her on the bed.

   “Are you feeling okay?”.Alex asked.

   ” Do I look okay to you? You left your child and I and you expect me to be okay?”. She said angrily.

    “I didn’t abandon you, beside I sent you a weekly allowance to take care of yourself and the baby”.

    “That is not enough, we both seek for your attention”. She said and held his hand firmly. “Please Alex take us back”. She said and Alex withdrew his hand from hers.

   “She is right”. Mrs.Stella interrupted them from behind immediately when she entered holding a lunch box.” How are you feeling Nora?” she asked smiling at her.

  “Am fine Mom”. She replied with a smile.

    “That’s good to know”. She said.” You don’t need to worry after you get discharged, you will be staying with my son till the wedding”. She added and Alex stared surprisedly at her.

   “Really mom?”. Nora asked happily.

   ” Yes, do you want to?”. She asked and she nodded.

    Alex returned to the party and his cell phone rang, he picked it up as he saw the caller ID.

   📞 “Hello Man, where are you?” He asked on the phone.

  📞 “That’s why I called, I left the party, tell Aurora not to worry about her friend, I am taking her home because she is not feeling too well”. Richard said from the other end of the phone.

 📞” Okay, I will do that, talk to you later”. he hung up and then typed a message to Aurora.

   Aurora came back to the party, searching everywhere for Nina, she called her severally but she was not picking up.

    “What’s taking her long in the restroom?”. She turned to go to the restroom when a message came through her phone, she glanced through it and she was surprised.” Mr. Richard left with Nina because she was sick”. She smiles.”Why am I not so surprised Nina, what are you up to, but anyway, I wish you luck”. She smiles and turns to leave to see Nora standing behind, she can see the mixture of surprise and anger on her face.

    “What are you doing here? Why are you back?”. She asked.

    ” Meaning”.

   “What I mean is that you are…” She pauses looking confused and then walks away.

    “What’s up with her?”. She shrugged and left the party.

   Nora was wondering why Aurora was back at the party and looking okay.

    ” Did that good-for-nothing waiter lie to me”. She grunted angrily and walked away.

    ••Richard’s mansion••

  Richard drove home and helped Nina out of the car to his room, he laid her down gently on the bed.

     “Why do you keep getting yourself drunk and I don’t know why I keep being the one to save you”. He sighed and Nina sat upright on the bed.” You are awake”.

    “No, why is it so hot”. She murmured and started robbing her body because the drugs were already reacting.

    ” Hot? But the Air conditioning is on”.

    “Is hot”. She tries taking off her clothes but Richard stops her quickly.

   ” What are you doing?”. he said and Nina stared at him and encircled her hand around his neck smiling.

    “My Prince Charming”. She giggles.

   ” What’s wrong with you”. he said trying to wiggle out of her hand but she was holding on tight to him.

    “Please help me, is hot!”. She said.

  

    ” Is not hot”.

   “It is! Please, am burning inside”. She said and quickly shut him up with a kiss. Richard wide-eyed in surprise as Nina’s lips kept moving on his softly. Suddenly, he regains himself and pushes her off.

   ” What is wrong with you?”.

    “Please I need you, help me”. She tried to unbutton his shirt but he held her hand quickly.

    ” Try and control yourself, you are drunk”.

   “No, I want you, is getting hot”.

   ” Wait a minute, did that waiter add something to your drink?”. He wondered and then stood up and carried her on his shoulder heading to the bathroom.” You will be fine”. She lay her down on the bathtub and turned on the shower on her.

   Soon Nina became calm and fell asleep on the tub, Richard sighed and then turned off the shower and carried her out to the bedroom.

    The next morning, Nina was having a nightmare, she kept tossing her head and murmuring in her sleep.

    “No, don’t touch me! Let me go….please!……someone help me”. She screams and rolls out from the bed hitting her butt so hard on the floor.” Ouch!”. 

   Richard entered to see her on the floor groaning in pain, he rushed to her quickly.

    “Are you okay?”. he asked. Nina raised her face to him and shrieked. ” Woah, calm down”.

    “Get away from me”. She yelled trembling and hiding her face from him.

    ” Calm down”. he took her hand and she became calm and turned her face to him.”It’s fine, okay?”. he helped her to the bed and offered her a glass of water.” drink this “.

    ” Thank you”She took a sip and suddenly her memory came back to know who she was sitting next to.”Prince charming?”. She said to herself and looked down at her body to see herself in another clothes, quickly she spat out the water from her mouth and stood up, Richard was surprised.

    “What’s wrong?”.

    ” How did I get here? Why am I in his room the second time? What happened between us last night? Why am I in his clothes?”. She said to herself wondering.

    “Are you okay? Is something wrong?”.

   ” Er, what happened? How did I get here?”.

   “Calm down, you weren’t feeling too well last night, so I brought you here”.

    ” Huh?”.

   “Yeah, if you are thinking about how your clothes got changed, I wasn’t the one that changed your clothes, my cleaner did”. he said and she sighed in relief.

   ” Thank you, I am sorry if I inconvenience you again”.

   “No is okay, but are you alright now?”.

   ” Yes, but I would like to leave”.

   “No, I made breakfast”.

   ” um, am not hungry”. she said nervously and her stomach growled.”Shoot!”.

   “You can come to the dining when you are done, your clothes are in the wardrobe”. He said and left.

   ” Shoot!”. She grunts

   Later in the day, Aurora was on the phone with Nina 

📞”What happened?”.Aurora asked on the phone.

 📞”I have no idea, I was surprised to be in his room this morning”. Nina replied.

  📞”Were you really sick or you were just acting up?”. she teased.

  📞”Not really, but I was feeling kinda funny after using the restroom, that’s all I remember”.

  📞”Thank heaven that you are safe”.

  📞”Yeah, thanks for worrying about me”.Nina said.

 📞”is always a pleasure, I will see you at work tomorrow, bye”. They hung up.

    The next day, Aurora came to the canteen and noticed Nina was absent, she was the first person to always be at the canteen.

    “Over here”. kessy waved at her and she moved to her.

    ” Have you seen Nina?”. Aurora asked.

    “Yeah, she is in her office, I asked her if she was not coming for lunch, and she said no”. Kessy said.

    ” That’s new, did she say why?”.

   “No, I guess something is up with her”. She said and Aurora sighed.

   Nina was in her office looking lonely when her phone started vibrating, she saw the caller ID unknown and picked it up.

 📞” Hello?”.

   📞”Hello angel”. The unknown voice said deeply and she hung up and gripped in shock.

   “Nina”.Aurora called and Nina screamed jumping up from her chair and panting. ” What….” She got interrupted as Nina ran into her arms sobbing.

   “Please don’t let him get me, please”. She sobs.

    ” Who are you talking about?”. She asked confusedly and they pulled away from each other and she wiped off her tears.”What’s wrong? Is someone after you?”.

  After a while, they came to a quiet place in the company.

    “You wanna tell me about it?”. Aurora asked.

    ” It started when I live with my uncle and his wife after my parents died in a ghastly motor accident, I was just twelve years old”. She sniffs. “One night my uncle sneaked into my room and tried forcing himself on me, but I refused and he threatened to kill me if says anything to anybody, I remained quiet since I didn’t see him enter my room after that first night until one day when no one was not at home, I was in my room preparing for my exams, he barged into my room with a knife and told me to undress myself or he stabs me with the knife, I was helpless and there was no place to run to, I plead, but it fell on deaf ears and he had his way with me”. She sniffs.

   ” Oh my gosh!”. Aurora said surprisedly.

   “He threatened to end my life if I say anything to anyone, I was helpless and it continued until I was tired and I decided to face my fears, one night he came, as usual, trying to force himself on me, I defended myself by stabbing him with the knife I hide under my cushion, his wife rushed into my room due to the noise and she was shocked to see his husband on the floor with a pool of blood, I try to explain what happened but she accuses me of killing her husband and decided to call the cops, I had no choice but to run away from the house and never come back, I was hopeless and became traumatized, but a good samaritan saw me wandering around the road and she brought me home and treated me like her own daughter after I told her everything “.

    ” This is awful “.

   ” I started to get off my trauma, but I was scared of guys coming close to me because every one of them reminded me of my evil uncle, my foster parents became worried and tried setting me up on a blind date, but I refused, every night I kept having the nightmare of what my uncle did to me, but at some point it stop not until I had the dream last night”. She said sadly.

    “What?”.

    ” Yes, Aurora, I got his call earlier before you came to my office”.

   “geez! I thought he died since you stabbed him with the knife”.

   ” I thought so too, I am scared he is going to kill me”. She sobs.

   “No, that will not happen, he won’t come near you”. She reassured her holding her hands firmly.

   ” I don’t want to see him, I am scared of what he will do to me”.

    “No harm will come to you, I reassure you that”. She embraces her in her arms and pats her back. ” But, why are you free with Mr. Richard?”. she asked and Nina pulled away from her arms.

    “I don’t know why I feel safe whenever I am close to him, he is different from all the men I have come across with”.

    ” is a good thing that you feel safe in his arms, but I assure you that he will not come near you, okay? So, cheer up”. She smiles.”Let’s go back” They stood up and walk away.

   Nina resumed her work the next day, we were both seated at the canteen eating while she was still drooling over Richard, I sighed tiredly at her.

   “Will you stop drooling, he is not even here”. I said

   ” I can’t help it, he is too cute to resist”. She said and I smiled.”So, tell me, does he work here too?”.

  “No, I told you before he is my boss’s best friend and he has a company of its own”. I said and she sighed sadly.

    ” That’s too bad, how do I see him again”.

   “You are unbelievable, how about going to seek a job in his company”. I said.

   ” Really? Do you think he will hire me as his secretary?”.

   “Stop dreaming, he had a secretary already”. I said and she grunted.

   ” I just can’t help it, should I go and tell him thank you for saving me?”. She said and I stared confusedly at her, I had no choice but to hit my can of juice on her head.”Ouch!, what did you do that for?”.

   “To get your head straight, how can you go and say thank you to someone you saw in a dream and it happens to be present in reality”.

   ” Don’t you think it’s destiny”.

   “oh gosh, you are so stupid”. I said.

   ” Then tell me what to do, I really want to see him” she grumbled.

   “I don’t know, but he usually comes here thrice a week”.

  ” Really?”. She asked excitedly and I nodded.”aww, that is cool, do you know the days he normally comes?”.

    “Nope, but he is constantly coming on Friday “.

   ” Wow, which means he will be around the day after tomorrow”.

   “I guess”.

   ” Yes!”. She hit his hand on the table excitedly causing everyone to turn in our direction.

   “Keep it down, will you?”.

   ” I just can’t help it, should I change the style of my hair?”.She asked and sighed tiredly at her.

   “Nina can we eat quietly, our lunch break is almost over”.

   ” Fine!”. She takes a bite from her sandwich.” So, Aurora is our boss the Alex you were talking about”. She grins.

   “Eat Nina”.

   ” Don’t hide it, he is the one right?”. She asked.”I knew it! Oh my, he is so handsome, do you know I was drooling over him, but when I saw my prince charming, everything changed”.She said.

  I sighed tiredly at her and resumed my food.

   NARRATOR POV

   Two days later, Nina was climbing down the stairs with some files, and suddenly, she missed her step and was reeling forward, her scream got everyone’s attention, and then a hand grabbed onto her waist and pulled her into his arms, she turned her face to see Richard was the one holding her.

    “Don’t you watch where you are going?”. He asked and pulled away from her.

    ” Um…um”. She sputtered nervously.

   “Be careful next time”. He said and walked away.

  Nina stared after him drooling over him.

    ” Nina, are you okay?”. kessy interrupts her.

    “Um, yeah”. She smiled and picked up her files as she ran away with them excitedly.

   Aurora was walking along the corridor when a hand suddenly pulled her to a tight corner.

     ” Nina! What are you doing?”. She asked surprisedly instead Nina was smiling widely to herself.”Why do you drag me like that”.

    “He did it again”.

   ” What are you talking about?”.

   “Richard, he saved me again”.

   ” What happened? Why?”. She asked confusedly as Nina whispered the whole thing to her ear and she gasped.”What?”.

    “Yeah”.She smiled 

   ” Are you okay? Did you get hurt?”.

   “Hurt? No, how will I get hurt when my prince charming was the one that saved me”. She grinned and she got a hit on her shoulder.” Ouch! Why did you hit me?”.

    “You deserve it, why won’t you watch where you are going what if Richard wasn’t there to save you “.

    ” But he did anyway”. She smiles.

   “Please be careful next time “.

    ” I will, I am so happy right now, I can smell his fragrance all over me “. She said and Aurora rolled her head at her.

    ” Can I go now?”.

    “Yeah, but we will continue this later”. She said and walked away.

    ” What a girl”. She takes three steps when a hand grabs her in another tight corner. “Now what!”. She gulped to see who it was.” Alex”.

    “Were you bothered by someone before?”. He asked flirtatiously as he pinned her to the wall with his hand around her waist.

    ” Um, not really, but what are you doing here?”.She asked nervously.

    “I miss you, plus I want to kiss you right now to ease my stress for the day”. he said and Aurora blushed.

   ” But we can’t, what if someone sees us”.

    “Nobody comes here, I am dying to feel those lips on mine”. He leaned his face closer and cupped her face. ” Should I?”

   “You don’t need my permission before–“.

   He suddenly shut her up with a soft kiss and then slowly moved his face to look at her eyes. he gazed at her for long, hard minutes, then slipped his hands down to cup her bottom, and pulled her to his waist. his mouth crashed onto hers with an urgency she hadn’t anticipated, as if he had been dying to kiss her all along. Alexander pulled her even closer, completely developing her. Her body spark to life, awakening in a way hadn’t thought possible.

    ” You drive me crazy!”. He said between kisses.

   “Alex”. He moaned his name and they pulled away slowly.”You have a meeting in the next thirty minutes”.

   ” I know, but I want more”. He pressed his lips on her and deepened the kiss.

   Aurora encircled her arms around his neck responding to his kisses, After a longer while they broke out from the kiss catching their breath.

    “Does it reduce your stress now?”. She asked smiling.

   ” A Little”. He said and Aurora brushed him on his chest and he laughed.”I am fully charged”.

    “Naughty you”. She smiles.

   ” Let’s go”.

   “You go ahead, I will join you soon”.

   ” Okay, don’t stay too long”. he winks at her and walks away. Aurora smiled after him blushing. 

    “What took you so long?”. Richard asked immediately Alex stepped into his office.

    ” I told you I went to pee”.

   “Don’t you have a restroom in your office”?

   ” Is not rushing”. he sat down.

   “Why do I have this feeling that you are lying, I know you went to stalk Aurora because right now she is not in her office”.

   ” Now that you know, why are you still here”.

   “Annoying brat!”. He teased and they chuckled.

   ” So, any news from the investor”.

   “Yeah, there is a meeting this weekend”.

   ” Where?”.

   “I don’t know yet, but they said they will inform us about it”.

    ” Okay, I hope they will be fast about it”.

   “Yeah, so are you game for tonight”.

    ” What”.

   “We are going clubbing tonight”.

   “Am not going”.

   ” Sure you are”. he persuaded and Alex stared tiredly at him.

   Later in the day, the staff including Aurora left for the clubhouse to celebrate Nina to the team. Aurora was surprised to see it was a club they had chosen for the celebration.

    “Why the club?” She asked.

    “Is amazing, you don’t like it?”. Nina asked.

   ” I know, but I thought you were going to the karaoke bar”.

   “Well, we change location every time, believe me, you are going to love it here “. Kessy said as they dragged her inside.

   They were seated around the table while the waiters came with their drinks.

👩🦱” Let the party begin!”. They hit their drinks together and sip from it.

  “This is the best party ever!”.Nina said.

👩🦰”Yeah, let’s get wasted!”.

    ” No, I am not getting wasted”. Aurora said and they laughed.

👨🦲”You are so funny”.

👨🦱”Let’s have fun”.

  They cheer and continue with their fun, and then someone calls Aurora’s name from behind and they turn in that direction to see who it was.

    “Charles?”. She called surprisedly.

   ” Hey pretty, it being a while”. he said smiling at her and the rest started murmuring to each other.

    “So, Aurora, is he the man behind your smile?”. kessy asked smiling knowingly at her.

    ” No, he is–“She got interrupted.

    “Am Charles, Aurora’s friend”. he said.

  👱♀️” You mean boyfriend”. they laughed and Aurora sighed tiredly at them.

   “Would you mind if I excuse her for a moment?”. Charles asks taking permission from them.

  👨🦱” Sure you may, she is all yours”.

   “No Charles, I am not going anywhere with you, you have no business with me anymore”. Aurora said and they were surprised at her.

    ” Why are you being rude to him?”. Nina asked.

   “Charles here is my ex”. She voiced out and they gasped.

    ” Oh”. kessy said.

   “But that doesn’t mean we can’t still be friends”. he said.

   ” No, we are not, can you please excuse us, we were in the middle of something before you interrupted us”.

    “Please let me just have a moment with you”. he begged and Aurora refused.

    ” You heard her”. Alex interrupted him from behind and everyone was surprised to see him with Richard beside him. Nina blushed at Richard and Aurora could see the angry look on his face.

   Alexander opened his eyes weakly to see someone beside him on the bed.

    “Aurora”. He called and then opened his eyes fully to see Nora was the one beside him. “Nora?”.

     ” You are finally awake, how are you feeling?”. She asked smiling and he sat upright on the bed.

     “What are you doing here? Where is Aurora?”. He asked confusedly and Nora frowned.

     ” She left”. His mother said as she entered with a tray of food.

     “What do you mean she left? Mom, what did you do this time?”.

    ” How do you mean?”. She asked.

    “Don’t play dumb with me Mother, I know you have done something to her, Where is she?”. He asked losing his patience.

    ” I told you she left, her services are no longer needed here, your fiancee is here, she can take of you”.

     “Who are you to make that decision for me? This is my house Mother, you don’t come in here and control what happens around me”. He said angrily and stood up to leave.

    ” Where are you going Alex? You can get off the bed like that, you are not feeling too well”. Nora said.

    “Did I make a complaint to you that I was sick? By the way what are you two doing here?”.

     ” Alex! I am your mother and she is your fiancee, we have every right to be here, if we didn’t come here, we wouldn’t have known you were sick”.

     “Mom, that’s enough! Nora here is not my fiancee and I am cutting off the engagement”. he said and they were surprised.

     ” What?!”.

      “You heard me, Mom”. He said and left the room leaving his mom and Nora in great shock.

     ” Mom, please don’t allow him to cut off the engagement, I want to be with Alex and no one else”. She sobs.

     “He will not do that, maybe the sickness had gotten to his brain that he can’t think straight”. She said.

    Meanwhile, Alex came out and was about to call his driver to drive him to Aurora’s place when he caught sight of Aurora sitting by the veranda.

  

     ” Aurora”. he called surprisedly and Aurora turned to him. he hugged her tight to his arms, and after a while, they pulled away from each other.

     “Why are you out here? You should be resting”. Aurora said.

     ” I woke up and I didn’t see you beside me and I knew my mother had done something to you”. He caressed her face a saw marks on it.”What happened to your face? Did my mother hit you?”.

    “Um, no, I…i”. She got interrupted.

    ” Don’t lie to me, my mother did this to you, right?”.

    “Why is she still here?”. They got interrupted and Aurora hid behind Alexander’s back.

     ” Mom, what do you think you are doing? Why did you hit Aurora in the face?”.

   “She does not belong here”.

    ” Says who? This is my house and you have no right to decide who stays or not”.

    “What has gotten into you son? Are you having anything with her?”.

    ” What do you expect”.

     “Alex! I am your fiancee”. Nora’s voice out.

     ” You are not, because it’s over”. He said and turned to his mother.”I have a choice, I am not a kid anymore if I want someone for myself and that will be Aurora, I don’t care if you accept it or not”.

    “Never son! That will not happen”.

    ” Then suit yourself and use the door, I am tired of your bullying towards her and it must stop! If you are allowed to decide whatever you want always.”. He took Aurora’s hand and dragged her inside shutting the door against them.

    “Mom! he means what he is saying, he has chosen that girl over me”. Nora grumbled.

     ” What has she given my son? I will not let this happen, not on my watch!”.She said.

    Meanwhile, Alex and Aurora came to the room.

    “That was uncalled for you to talk back at your mother like that, she was only looking out for her son”.

    ” That wasn’t lookout, that was mean of her to always bully you”.

    “But she is your mother!”.

    ” I know”. He caressed her face.”Don’t worry about that, she is my mother and she will get over it”.

    “But–” She got shut by a kiss on the lips.

   “No, but”. He pulled her into his arms and crushed his lips with her. The kiss became intense and Alex broke out of it as he groaned in pain.

   “Alex, are you okay?”. She asked curiously and helped him sit on the bed.” Does your head hurt?”. She asked seeing him holding his head.

    “Yeah, a lot”. He replied.

   ” Okay, try to relax, and let me make something for you, so, you can take your medication”. She tries to leave, but Alexander grabs her hand.

   “Don’t go”. He groans.

    ” Am not leaving, I just–“. She got interrupted as Alex pulled her to sit on the bed.

    “No, sleep next to me, it will cure the headache I have”. he said.

    ” Um”

    “I insist”. He lay down and Aurora slept beside him and he caressed her into his arms.”Much better”.he smiled.

    Two days later, Aurora came to grab something at the grocery store, she was moving around searching for what to buy when she bumped into someone.

    ” Am sorry”. Both said simultaneously and they raised their face to each other.

    “Aurora?”. Nina called surprisedly.

     ” Nina?”.

     “Yes, is me “. She said and quickly they hugged each other tight and then pulled away from each other while holding hands.

    ” You are alive!”. They both said and chuckled.

    “Yes”. Aurora said.

    ” I thought I would never see you again”. Nina said.

    “Me too”. They hug each other again.

   Some minutes later, Both were seated in a local restaurant chilling with some juice and snacks.

    ” Tell me, how did you survive the suicide bomber?”.Nina asked.

    “Luckily for me, some cops were around the premises and it was Alex’s idea”.

    ” Alex?”.

     “Yes, he came to my rescue”.

    ” Aww! I knew it”.

    “Knew what?”.

     ” That Alex will come to your rescue, he is your hero”.

    “I guess”. They chuckled.” What about you?”.

   “Well in that critical moment, while I was still unconscious, something strange happened to me”. Nina said.

    ” What happened?”.

   “I don’t know how to explain it, it was as if I was in a trance, I saw an unfamiliar man reaching his hand out for me and telling me to take his hand and he said he wouldn’t let go of my hand that everything will be fine”.

    ” Really? Do you see his face?”.

    “Yeah, but I don’t know who he was, but believe me, he was damn handsome and he is my type of idea man”. She smiles.

    ” Aww, someone is falling already”. Aurora teased.

    “Maybe, I kept seeing him in my dreams, it was because of the trance I had that I was able to have full confidence in myself, some cops came, and a help me defuse the bomb”.

   ” Thank heaven they came to rescue us at the right time”.

   “I am so happy to see you again”.Nina said.

    “Me too, so, what do you do now?”.

   ” Nothing, am actually looking for a job”.

    “Really?”.

  ” Yeah, I will be going for an interview this week in one of the companies I submitted my CV to”.

   “Okay, I wish you luck with that”. Aurora said.

   ” Me too, hope you are working”.

    “Yeah, as a secretary”.

    ” Wow, that’s nice, should I guess who the boss is”. she teased.

    “huh”.

   ” You are his secretary right”.

    “Huh? What are you talking about”.

   ” I am talking about Alex, your Alex”.

    “Oh, yeah, he is my boss”.

    ” I know that, so, are you two a thing now?”. She asked excitedly.

     “I don’t know”. She sighed.

    ” What do you mean you don’t know, you don’t feel anything for him?”.

     “I do, but the whole thing is somehow complicated”.

     ” Like how, Aurora?”.

    “I still don’t understand it, his mom and his supposed fiancee and everything”.

    ” Are you saying his mother and his supposed fiancee are standing in the way of you two?”.

     “Something like that, but I am the one standing in their relationship, his mother blamed me for everything”. Aurora said.

     ” That’s awful”.

     “I don’t know what to do”.

    “I totally understand, but love still conquers it all”.Nina said.

   They sighed and continued chatting.

  Later in the night, Aurora sat on the bed staring out from the window, and then her cell phone rang, she saw the caller ID and picked it up.

    📞” Hey”. She said on the phone and Alexander’s voice came through the other end.

   📞 “Hey Aurora, how are you?”.

  📞 ” Fine, but just tired”.

   📞”Why? Was the work at the office stressful for you?”.

    📞 ” No, is not that, I just have some groceries to do today, that’s why I am tired”.

    📞”Okay, I miss you”.

    📞 ” Me too”. She blushed.

    📞”Are you blushing?”.

   📞” Huh? No”. She wonders how he knows.

  📞  “Because I can feel it”. he giggles.” So, will you still go out with me tomorrow?”.

    📞”Um,”.

   📞 ” Please don’t say no”.

    📞”Um, okay, I will go out with you”.

    📞” Yes! Thank you Aurora, you don’t know how happy I am right now”.He said happily on the phone.

   📞 “Me too”.

    📞” Okay, I will pick you up by seven sharp “.

   📞 ” Sure”.

  📞 “Good night Aurora”.

    📞” Good night Alex”. They hung up and she sighed.
