The next morning, Naomi was still fast asleep, while Alex was awake, gazing lovingly at her. He gently caressed her face, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, and placed a soft kiss on her forehead.
After getting out of bed, Alex headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. A few minutes later, he returned with a tray laden with toasted bread, hot chocolate milk, a fruit salad, and scrambled eggs. He set the tray on the bed and began to wake Naomi up with gentle kisses. Naomi murmured in her sleep,
“It’s time to wake up.” Alex whispered.
“Give me five more minutes.” She replied,
     “No, I made breakfast.”
     “I’ll eat when I’m up.”
“No, it will get cold by then.”Alex countered, As he joined her under the duvet, Naomi open her eyes.
    “Alex, what are you doing?”
“Recharging my energy.” He smirked, and Naomi laughed.
    “Get off, I’m starving.”
    “Too late, sweetheart.”
“Let’s have breakfast now, I am awake”.
“I am having mine”.He smirk,  and instead claimed her lips with a passionate kiss.
Naomi tried to resist, but she couldn’t help but get lost in his touch, he continued to kiss and caress her. Thier lips devouring each other as the breakfast forgotten in the face of their desire for each other, his hands roaming her body as they lost themselves in the moment.
       ~~ Mr Adams house~~
Mia’s eyes snapped open as she jerked awake, her heart racing at the sound of Nathan’s raised voice coming from the living room. She quickly threw off the covers and rushed downstairs, her bare feet padding softly on the floor.
As she entered the living room, she saw Nathan confronting his mother, his face twisted in anger.
“She did nothing to you, why hurt her like this?” he yelled, his voice echoing off the walls. His mother looked down, her face etched with guilt and regret.
“Son, calm down, she realizes her mistake already,” Mr. Adams said.
But before he could continue, Mia interrupted,
“Nat!” she called out, her eyes blazing with anger as she stormed towards him.
In a shocking move, Mia landed a resounding slap across Nathan’s face, the sound echoing through the room and everyone was shocked.
“I told you not to!” she yelled, her voice cracking with emotion as she grabbed his hand and dragged him away to the room.
“I guess big bro is in trouble.” Josh said.
The others sighed in response, their faces a mixture of surprise and concern.
Once they were in the room, Mia released Nathan’s hand and glared at him, her chest heaving with anger.
“I told you not to blame your mother for what happened. You promised to let it go,” she said, her voice trembling with disappointment and hurt.
“I just had to tell her the truth,” he said,
“It was an accident, not her fault. Why did you have to confront her? I’m so disappointed in you, Nathan.” She said angrily as she struggled to hold back tears.
She walked over to the closet, her movements swift and agitated, and began gathering her clothes.
“What are you doing?” He asked, as he moved towards her.
“I’m going home,”She replied Nathan moved to stop her, wrapping his arms around her from behind.
    “Please, I’m sorry,” he said.
Mia tried to push him away, wincing in pain as she put pressure on her hand. Nathan tried to help, but she refused his assistance, her body tense with anger.
“Tell me what I need to do, and I’ll do it. Please don’t be angry with me,” he said, his voice laced with sadness and desperation.
Mia sighed, still visibly angry, but the pain in her hand and Nathan’s apology seemed to be slowly diffusing her anger.
The somber atmosphere in the living room lingered as Nathan and Mia descended the staircase. Mrs. Adams stood up, and Nathan approached her, his eyes filled with remorse.
    “Go on,” Mia encouraged him.
“Mom, I’m sorry for the way I spoke to you earlier. Please forgive me,” Nathan said sincerely.
Tears welled up in Mrs. Adams’ eyes as she smiled at her son and caressed his cheek.
“I should be the one apologizing. I’m sorry for what I did to your fiancée. I promise it won’t happen again. I’m sorry for misjudging her. Please forgive me for everything.” She pulled Nathan into a warm hug, and the room erupted in smiles.
“I love you, Mom,” Nathan said, his voice filled with emotion.
“I love you too, son,” Mrs. Adams replied, her voice trembling with happiness. As they pulled away from each other, she turned to Mia. “Come,” she said, smiling at Mia, who rushed over to her. She took Mia’s hands, her eyes filled with apology. “I’m sorry for everything. Please forgive me.”
“You don’t have to apologize, ma’am. It’s fine,” Mia said.
“Call me Mom,” Mrs. Adams said, her voice filled with warmth. She pulled Mia into a hug, along with Nathan.
The room filled with happy smiles as everyone witnessed the heartfelt moment.
    “Finally,” Anna said.
Just then, Mia’s cell phone rang, shattering the moment. She answered the call, her look changing from calm to shock.
“Hello, Jimmy… What!… Ok, I’ll be there.” Her face pale, Mia hung up the phone and turned to the others.
“What happened? Is everything okay?” Nathan asked.
“Naomi’s mom collapsed and was rushed to the hospital,” she said, her voice trembling.
The room fell silent, with everyone exchanging worried glances.
“Oh my,” Anna whispered, her hand flying to her mouth.
“I have to go now,” Mia said, rushing towards the room with Nathan following closely behind.

        ~~At the beach house~~

Naomi was refreshing herself in the bathroom while Alex entered the room with a plate of fruit salad, which he carefully placed on the table. His cell phone rang, and he answered it after checking the caller ID.
“Hello, bro,” Alex said, and Nathan’s worried voice came through the phone.
“Alex, is Naomi with you?” Nathan asked.
“Yes, is everything okay? You sound worried,” Alex asked curiously.
Naomi emerged from the bathroom, looking fresh with a towel wrapped around her body, and Alex’s eyes met hers as he listened to Nathan.
“Um, yeah, Mia and I are heading to the hospital now. We just got a call from Jimmy that his mom collapsed and was rushed to the hospital,” Nathan explained, and Alex was surprised.
“Okay, we’ll be there,” he said, his eyes never leaving Naomi’s, before hanging up the phone. Naomi noticed the look on Alex’s
      “Is everything okay?”
“Um, yeah, get dressed. We’re leaving.” He response briefly,
     “Now?” She asked confusedly.
“Yes, something came up, and we need to leave. I’ll get the car ready.” He quickly left the room, avoiding further questions from Naomi.
Naomi sighed, sensing that something was amiss, but she decided to get dressed, wondering what had happened.

A few minutes later, Alex loaded their bags into the car and opened the front door for Naomi. She slid into the seat, and Alex moved to the driver’s side. Just as he was about to start the engine, Naomi snatched the key from his hand.

“What are you doing?”. He asked surprisedly.
Alex was taken aback by her sudden move, but he tried to composed himself.
“Tell me what’s happening,” she pressed, her voice rising. “Why are we leaving all of a sudden? We were supposed to leave tomorrow.”
Alex sighed, knowing he couldn’t avoid the truth any longer. He took her hand firmly, trying to reassure her.
     “I know you’re angry, but…”
“Just tell me what’s going on,” She interrupted, her voice shaking slightly.
“Okay,” Alex said gently. “Your mom was rushed to the hospital.”
     “What?”her eyes widened in shock.
“Don’t worry, I’m sure everything will be fine.” He said, But Naomi’s face crumpled, and tears began to fall. He quickly got out of the car and rushed to her side, helping her out. “Please don’t cry,” he said softly, wiping away her tears with his thumb. He pulled her into a warm hug, holding her close as she sobbed.

As everyone tended to Nathan, Mia excused herself to the kitchen to make chicken soup for him. The cook, noticing her intentions, nodded and left her to it. Mia was busy stirring the pot on the gas stove when Mrs. Adam’s cold voice interrupted her.
“What the heck are you doing in my kitchen?” Mrs. Adam demanded.
“I’m cooking.”Mia sighed, turning to face her.
    “On whose permission?”
“I just want to make chicken soup for Nathan since he’s down with fever.”
“Were you asked? What right do you have?” She moved closer to Mia. “I want you out of here.”
“I’ll leave once I’m done cooking.” She continued stirring the pot, her movements deliberate.
“I said out!” She grabbed Mia’s arm, trying to drag her out of the kitchen. But Mia lost her balance, and the pot of hot soup spilled onto her hand. She let out a loud scream in pain. her eyes widening in shock.
Mrs. Adam’s eyes widened in shock, her face pale. The scream echoed through the house, and everyone in Nathan’s room heard it, including Nathan, who jerked awake.
“Mia?” he called out, his voice weak
The room fell silent as everyone turned to Nathan, who was now awake.
“Son, you’re awake,” Mr. Adams said, relief on his face.
Nathan tried to stand up from the bed, but Josh stopped him.
    “You can’t get up.”
“That’s Mia’s scream. I heard it.” His voice was weak, but determination burned in his eyes. He stood up from the bed, despite his family protests, and made his way out of the room, everyone following closely behind.

Mrs. Adam’s eyes widened in horror as she quickly grabbed Mia’s hand and turned on the water from the sink. She placed Mia’s hand under the running water, and Mia groaned in pain as tears streamed down her face. The hand was already red and getting sore.
“Mia?” Nathan called weakly from behind, and they were met with a horrible scene in front of them.
“What the heck happened?” Mr. Adams asked.
“It was an accident, I didn’t…”Mrs. Adam’s voice trembled.
Nathan rushed to Mia’s side, his eyes scanning her face before locking onto her injured hand. He felt like he’d been punched in the gut, and the pain in Mia’s eyes was almost too much to bear. He took Mia’s hand gently, his eyes blazing with anger as he stared at his mother. Without a word, Nathan turned and left the kitchen with Mia, leaving his mother standing alone, looking regretful.
    “Mom, what happened?” Anna asked,
“I was just…I don’t know, it was an accident.”Mrs. Adam sighed.
Nathan entered the room with Mia.
“Doctor, please attend to her,” he said, his voice firm.
The doctor nodded and began to examine Mia’s hand. Mia groaned in pain, and Nathan pulled her close, holding her as the doctor worked.
After the doctor finished treating Mia’s hand, he wrapped it in a white bandage.
“She’ll be fine. Once the bandage is removed, apply ointment on it,” he instructed. Nathan nodded, his eyes never leaving Mia’s face. “And you too, Nathan, don’t forget to complete your dosage,” the doctor reminded him.
“Okay, Doctor,” Nathan replied, his voice soft.
The doctor nodded and took his leave, leaving them alone.
Nathan turned to Mia, his eyes scanning her face. “Are you okay?” he asked.
     “I’m fine.”She nodded weakly.
Nathan pulled her into his arms, his lips brushing against her hair. “I’m sorry for what happened,” he whispered.
“It’s nothing, it was an accident. I was being careless. Please don’t blame your mother for what happened.”
“Just take a rest,” Nathan said, his voice soft and soothing as he gently patted Mia’s hair.
“I’m serious, Nathan.”  She raised her face to his, her eyes locking onto his. “Don’t blame your mother for this. It’s not her fault. I could see the shock and guilt on her face when it happened.” Her voice was filled with empathy.
“Fine, I won’t.” He sighed, his voice was resigned, but his eyes still held a hint of frustration.
    “Promise?”
     “I promise.”
They shared a tender smile, and Mia’s face lit up with relief. She leaned into him, her body relaxing against his.
“Thank you,” she whispered, her lips brushing against his cheek. Her touch sent shivers down Nathan’s spine.
Meanwhile, back at the beach house, Alex stood on the balcony, his phone pressed to his ear as he spoke to his father. The cool breeze rustled his hair, and the sound of the waves filled the air.
“I’m fine, Dad. I’ll be home soon,” he reassured him, his voice calm.
“Yeah, everything is fine. I’m not alone; Naomi is here with me. So, tell everyone not to worry.” His voice was reassuring, and he smiled as he thought of Naomi.
As he spoke, he felt a warm pair of arms wrap around him from behind. He smiled, feeling a sense of comfort and security. The tension in his body eased, and he relaxed into her touch.
“Dad, I’ve got to go now. See you soon,” he said, hanging up the phone. He turned to Naomi, his eyes locking onto hers.
Naomi’s hands slid up his chest, and he turned to face her, his eyes filled with affection.
“Why are you out here? It’s chilly,” she said.
“Did you have fun today?” He asked as his fingers grazed her face, and he smiled.
“Yes, it’s been a long time since I played around the beach. Gosh, the water was cool.” Her laughter was infectious, and Alex chuckled.
“I’m glad you had fun. I had fun too, and I wish it never ends.”
“Me too. Right now, I think I need a massage.” Her voice dropped to a seductive whisper, her eyes locked onto his, and Alex’s heart skipped a beat.
“Really? A massage?” Alex asked, a sly smile spreading across his face as he gazed into Naomi’s eyes. She nodded shyly, her cheeks flushing with anticipation. “Ok,” he whispered.
Alex swept her up in his arms, her legs wrapping around him as he carried her to the bed. He laid her down gently, his eyes locked on hers with adoration.
As he climbed onto the bed beside her, Naomi’s hands encircled his neck, pulling him closer. Their lips met in a soft, tender kiss.
Alex’s hands caressed her body, his fingers tracing the curves of her face, her neck, and her shoulders. Her moans filled the air as he deepened the kiss.
The sound of the waves outside created a cozy, romantic atmosphere, enveloping them in a sense of intimacy and tranquility.
Alex’s hands caressed her face, and he began kissing her face, his lips tracing a path down to her neck. His fingers gently undid the buttons of her shirt, and he slowly pulled it open, revealing her perfect body.
His eyes widened in awe as he gazed at Naomi’s beauty. He took a deep breath, his heart racing with excitement, and began to kiss her skin, his lips tracing a path down her neck and shoulders.
As they broke apart for a moment, Alex’s eyes locked onto Naomi’s, filled with passion and desire.
“Tell me you’re not stopping tonight,” she whispered, her voice husky with longing.
“No, I am not planning to. Tonight is the night we seal our love, you own me now Naomi, I am fully yours now, even though….”His words trailed off as Naomi kissed him lightly.
“I don’t care about the past, let’s build the future together, just the way you are mine, I am yours too, I love you so much, Alex.”
“I love you more,” Alex replied, his voice filled with emotion, tears filling his eyes.
“Make me fully yours tonight, make me a woman,” she whispered.
As they lost themselves in the moment, Alex’s lips crashed against Naomi’s, their passion igniting like a flame. Their clothes scattered on the floor, they surrendered to the heat of the moment, their bodies entwined under the duvet cover.
Outside, the rain fell gently, casting a soothing melody that echoed through the room. The droplets pattered against the windowpane, creating a cozy, intimate atmosphere that wrapped around them like a warm blanket.
Naomi’s fingers dug gently into Alex’s back, her nails tracing the muscles. He was tender and gentle with her, their hands entwined as they moved in a perfect sync.
Their soft moans and gasps filled the room, a symphony of love and desire that harmonized with the rain’s gentle rhythm. Every kiss, every touch, and every whispered promise fueled the fire burning between them.
In the midst of this passionate storm, they found their own rhythm, their love becoming the anchor that held them together. The rain outside seemed to wash away the world, leaving only the two of them, lost in the beauty of their love.

It all turned out, that Naomi was feeling restless and needed to tell Alex the truth, while she was alone in the room looking sad, Mia came over carrying a tray of food.
“Sis, you should eat,” she said.
    “I am not hungry,”
“You have to eat, you will get sick again,”
“I want to see Alex, I need to clarify everything with him,”
“Are you ready to tell him?” Mia asked, and Naomi nodded.
“I hate the distance between us, I miss his hugs and kisses,” she said, her voice cracking with emotions
“Then go and sort it out tonight with him,”
Naomi stood up, taking her jacket, and left the room. Mia followed her outside, and they hugged each other.
“Be careful,” Mia said, and they pulled away from each other as Naomi left.
Mia sighed and shut the door behind and then the thought of Nathan flashed through her mind as she went inside.
Some minutes later, Naomi arrived at the palace, she knew she couldn’t get in, so she decided to phone her Mom. After a while, Mrs. Ruth came and begged the security guard to open the gate for her daughter, and he obeyed. Naomi entered, and she and her mother walked away.
“Why are you here?” Mrs. Ruth asked as they moved far away from the gate.
“I’m here to clarify everything with Alex, I want to tell him the truth and stop the distance between us,”
“That’s a good thing, but you can’t go through the living room, Princess Diva and her mother are in the living room right now,” Mrs. Ruth said,  cautious.
“What should I do then?” Naomi asked, a hint of frustration creeping into her voice.
“I would advise you to use the balcony, there’s a ladder at Alex’ balcony, you can use it,” she said, and Naomi quickly hugged her, a smile spreading across her face.
“Thank you, Mom,” she said, and they pulled away from each other.
“Go now, I’m sure he’s waiting for you,” Mrs. Ruth said, her eyes sparkling with encouragement, and Naomi ran off. She smiled after her and walked away, watching her daughter disappear into the night.

Meanwhile, Nathan was at his balcony, feeling disturbed about the little argument he had with Mia. He hadn’t called her to check on her like he always did before he slept, and the silence was eating away at him. He stared out into the night, his mind consumed by thoughts of Mia.
Mia arrived at his house, standing by the gate after the cab dropped her off. She came to pay him a surprise visit, her heart racing with excitement and nervousness. She knocked on the gate with full confidence, and the gate opened using a remote control. She went inside, and the gate closed back with a soft click. She walked steadily and confidently towards the main building, set her mind up to risk everything to see the man she truly loved and clear the misunderstanding.
When she got to the door, she hesitated for a while, her hand hovering over the doorbell. She took a deep breath and rang the bell, waiting for whoever would open the door. She waited patiently, her heart pounding in her chest, and then the door opened, revealing Anna. Their eyes met in surprise, and Anna’s face lit up with a warm smile.
“Mia!” Anna exclaimed, her voice filled with delight, and her smile eased Mia’s tension.
    “Um, hi,” Mia said nervously.
“What a surprise… come on in,” Anna said, stepping aside and gesturing for Mia to enter. “Are you here to see my brother?”
“Um, yeah, but…,” Mia replied, her voice trailing off.
“Let me guess, you came to surprise him, right?” Anna asked, amused, and Mia nodded shyly, her eyes dropping to the floor.
“That’s nice, I’m sure he’ll die of shock if he sees you,” she said, laughing. “Come on, let me lead the way,” she said, taking Mia’s hand and walking away, her infectious laughter putting Mia at ease.

Nathan was still lost in thought of Mia when someone knocked on his door. He sighed and walked steadily to open the door, but to his surprise, he saw Mia and Anna standing in front of the door.
“Mia!” he called out, surprised, his eyes widening in delight.
“Surprise!” Anna said playfully, her voice bubbling with excitement. “Well, I’ll leave you two now, goodnight,” she said and walked away with a knowing smile, leaving the two lovebirds alone.
Nathan and Mia’s eyes were still locked on each other, the air thick with tension.
“I…I…,” she couldn’t finish her statement when Nathan pulled her inside, closing the door behind her with a soft click. Before she could react, she felt his warm arms enveloping her into a warm hug, his scent wrapping around her like a comforting blanket.
“I miss you,” he whispered softly, his breath tickling her ear, sending shivers down her spine. His voice was filled with longing and yearning.
“I miss you too,” she said.
They pulled away from each other slowly. He caressed her face, his fingers tracing the contours of her cheeks, his touch sending waves of pleasure through her body.
“I’m sorry for what happened earlier today, I didn’t mean to hide anything from you,” she said.
“It’s okay, if you don’t want to tell me now, I understand. When you’re ready, you can tell me,” he said, and Mia smiled.
“That’s why I am…” Her words trailed off as she felt his lips silencing hers, their mouths fitting together like two pieces of a puzzle.
Her eyes widened for a moment before closing to respond, her heart racing with excitement. He pulled her closer to himself, deepening the kiss, his tongue tangling with hers. Mia responded in the same sync, her body melting into his, their love and passion igniting like a flame.
After a moment, they pulled away slowly, trying to catch their breath, their chests heaving with desire. Their eyes locked on each other, filled with love, passion, and a deep connection. They rested their heads together, their foreheads touching.
“Mia,” he called out, feeling emotional, filled with love and adoration. “You know it’s wrong at this moment to be in a guy’s room in the middle of the night,”.
    “I know,” she said nervously.
“You’re also aware things might get heated up between us,” he said.
    “I know,” she gulped.
“Then, I’m giving you a chance to…,” he started to say, his voice trailing off.
“I am not leaving, Nat,” she said, cutting in, her voice firm and resolute, as their heads still rested on each other, with their hearts beating in sync. “It’s too late to go back, I’m here and I’m not leaving,”.
“Even when I cross the line tonight?” he gulped, his voice longing, his heart filled with love and desire.
“I am yours anyway, do whatever you want with me, I’m not leaving,” she said, her words hanging in the air like a promise, her body surrendering to his, her heart beating only for him.
The air was electric with tension as Nathan’s hands roamed over her body, his touch igniting a fire that threatened to consume them both. Mia’s skin was on fire, her senses overwhelmed by the passion that burned between them.
Nathan’s lips claimed hers, their kiss deep and hungry. her body arched into his, her curves fitting perfectly against his hard lines. The room around them dissolved into nothingness, leaving only the primal desire that drove them together.
As they moved closer to the edge, their breathing grew ragged, their hearts pounding in sync.
As they kissed, his hands wandered to the hem of Mia’s top, his fingers tracing the soft skin of her stomach. Her breath caught in her throat as he slowly lifted the fabric, revealing more of her skin with each passing moment. She raised her arms, and he pulled the top over her head, dropping it to the floor.
Mia’s hands weren’t idle, either. She’d been working on his shirt buttons, her fingers fumbling slightly in her haste. Finally, she managed to slip the last button free, and the shirt opened, revealing his chest. She ran her hands over his skin, feeling the warmth and texture of him.
Together, they moved towards the bed, their lips never leaving each other’s. His hands were busy with her jeans, unbuttoning and unzipping them with ease. Mia kicked off her shoes, and his hands slipped into her pants, guiding them down her legs.
As they reached the bed, he lifted her onto it, following her down onto the soft sheets. They were wrapped in each other’s arms, their bodies pressed together, skin to skin.
They lay fully naked under the duevt, making out, their bodies entwined as they gazed into each other’s eyes.
“I love you,” he whispered, his voice trembling with emotion.
“I love you too,” she replied.
As the last rays of light faded from the room, they surrendered to each other’s love. Under the duvet, their bodies moved in perfect sync, their hearts beating as one. The darkness wrapped around them, a cocoon of intimacy, as they lost themselves in the passion of their love.
In this moment, time stood still, and all that existed was the love they shared. Their whispers, their touch, their hearts pounding together, it was all that mattered.

The next day, Alex and Naomi sat on the balcony, enjoying a fruit salad together. Alex was chatting away, trying to engage Naomi in conversation, but she seemed distant, her mind elsewhere. She couldn’t shake off the feeling of what had happened to her and how to tell Alex about it. Alex noticed her distance and called out to her
“Naomi.” He reached out to her hand, but she flinched quickly, drawing her hand back as she stood up abruptly. Alex was taken aback by her sudden movement.
“Naomi, what’s wrong?” he asked, concerned.
“Um, n-nothing,” she stammered, fidgeting with her hands.
Alex stood up and tried to move towards her, but she pushed backward, avoiding him as she looked around frantically. Alex was confused by her sudden action.
Before he could say anything else, Naomi rushed to the door and opened it. She met Diva and Elora standing by the door, about to knock. They saw the look of fear on Naomi’s face and wondered what was wrong.
Naomi bypassed them and rushed out, leaving Alex and the others looking concerned.
“What’s with her?” Diva asked, confusedly.
They went inside to see Alex standing looking confused. “Alex,” Elora called, and they moved towards him, but he ignored them and decided to follow Naomi behind.
They stared after him, wondering what had just happened.
Naomi rushed into the workers’ apartment, bypassing Mia and her mother, who were seated and busy with something. She didn’t stop until she reached the bedroom, where she sat down on the floor, squeezing herself and shaking in fear. Mia and her mother were surprised and followed her inside.
“Sis,” Mia called gently, placing her hand on Naomi’s shoulder. Naomi turned to her, tears streaming down her face. “Come here,” Mia said, pulling Naomi into a hug. Mrs. Ruth patted Naomi’s back, trying to comfort her.
Just then, they heard Alex’s voice from outside, calling out to Naomi. Mrs. Ruth went out to see the worry on his face.
“Nanny, please, I need to see Naomi,” Alex said. “Why is she acting like that?”
“It’s nothing to worry about,” Mrs. Ruth replied.
“Nothing to worry about?” Alex repeated, worried. “I haven’t seen her act like this before.”
Before Mrs. Ruth could explain, Naomi appeared behind her, smiling forcedly.
     “I’m fine,” she said,
Alex rushed to her and tried to touch her, but she reeled back a little, feigning a cough.
“I’m having a sour throat, and I don’t want you to be affected,” she lied.
“That’s what I wanted to tell you,” Mrs. Ruth said, trying to support Naomi’s story.
Alex stared into Naomi’s eyes, noticing that she was hiding something. He left without saying a word, and Naomi let out a sad sigh.
“You need to tell him,” Mia said, her voice gentle. “Just look at him. He knows you’re hiding something from him.”
Meanwhile, at the other corner of the palace, two guards responsible for what happened to Naomi were chatting secretly.
“Do you think she’ll tell everyone what happened?” one of the guard asked quietly.
“She won’t dare,” the other guard replied. “The threat we gave her won’t make her utter a word to anyone.”
“I just wish I had my way with her,” one guard said, his voice filled with lust. “It would have been perfect.”
“The queen didn’t ask you to do anything with her, just to keep her until she ordered us to do what she wanted.”
“I just can’t imagine how soft her body was,” one guard said, his eyes gleaming with desire. “I wish another chance will come, and we’ll have our way.”
The maid interrupted them, her voice suspicious.
“What are you two murmuring about?” The guards flinched, turning to her. “Hope you two haven’t done something bad?” she asked, her eyes narrowing.
“Will you get out of here?” one of them yelled.
“I just pray your secret will be open soon,” the maid hissed, walking away.
    ******
The distance between Alex and Naomi continued for days, with Alex fully recovered and it being time for her to go back home. Naomi came to his room, seeing him lying down with his back turned against the door, though she knew he wasn’t sleeping. She moved to the bed, staring at his back as she fidgeted with her hands.
“Alex,” she called softly, but he refused to turn to her, and she knew he wasn’t happy with her. “Um, I’m leaving,” she said, her.”I just came to inform you. I’ll go now.”
She turned and left, shutting the door behind her. Alex turned to the door, feeling a pang of sadness as he hugged the pillows to himself. He was pained by the sudden distance between them.
Meanwhile, Naomi stood outside the door, resting her back against it as tears filled her eyes and crawled down her cheeks. Mia came over and took her hand, and they walked away.
After bidding their mother goodbye, they came out of the gate and saw Nathan waiting for them outside. It turned out Alex had sent a message to him, asking him to take them home.
“Nat, what are you doing here?” Mia asked, curiously.
“To take you guys home, of course,” Nathan replied, opening the car door for them.
“Thank you,” Naomi said, moving to the backseat. Mia sat down in the front seat, and Nathan got in on the other side. They drove off.
      _______
After some minutes, Nathan drove them home, Naomi thanked him with a faint smile and came out as she went inside, her eyes avoiding any prolonged gaze. Mia tried to follow suit, but Nathan’s firm grip on her arm stopped her from leaving.
“I have a question,” he said, his voice low and inquiring, “what’s going on between Naomi and Alex? Why is she creating distance, did something happen?” He asked, staring deeply into her eyes with an intensity that made her squirm.
Mia’s eyes darted around, trying to evade Nathan’s piercing gaze.
     “It’s nothing,” she said quickly.
“You know you can’t lie to me, Mia. I know something’s wrong. What are you two hiding?” His tone was firm, brooking no argument.
    “Um, it’s really nothing.”she mumbled.
“Mia.”Nathan’s voice took on a warning tone as he called out,  She sighed, knowing she was trapped.
“Seriously, Nat, I can’t tell you,” she said.
“It means there’s something going on, doesn’t it?” Mia shook her head, her eyes still avoiding his.
“No, that’s not what I mean.”
“You’re lying, and I can see it in your eyes. Alex is deeply hurt right now because of the distance his woman is creating, and it’s killing him.” Mia’s eyes welled up with tears as she sighed, feeling the weight of Nathan’s words.
“It’s okay if you don’t want to talk, but if I find out, I won’t be happy with you,” Nathan said, his voice low and even.
Mia was confused  as she hesitated, unsure of what to do.
Finally, she opened the car door and stepped out, leaving without a goodbye kiss. Nathan watched her go, his eyes lingering on her retreating figure before he zoomed off into the distance.
    *******
Later in the cool evening, Alex was in the mini bar drinking to stupor, he couldn’t help but think why Naomi was distancing herself from him, the more he thinks about it, the more hurt he gets… the more hurt he gets. He became heavily drunk and tried to stand up, but his legs wobbled beneath him. Before he could fall, Elora quickly grasped his arm, steadying him.
As Alex lay on the bed, Elora stood over him, her eyes locked on his face. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a small injection device.
“Perfect timing,” she whispered to herself, a subtle smile playing on her lips.
With a swift motion, she administered the injection to Alex’s arm. He barely stirred, too drunk to notice. Elora disposed of the device and stepped back, her gaze never leaving Alex’s face.
As the minutes ticked by, Alex’s drunken haze began to clear, replaced by a growing sense of warmth and disorientation. He stirred, his movements slow and labored. Elora watched with interest, her eyes gleaming with a knowing light.
When Alex finally opened his eyes, he was met with a wave of dizziness. He tried to sit up, but a wave of heat washed over him, making his head spin. Elora stepped forward, her presence commanding his attention.
With a languid movement, Alex pulled off his shirt, revealing his toned physique. Elora’s gaze lingered on him before she turned away, disappearing into the bathroom. She emerged moments later, a towel wrapped seductively around her body, her hair cascading down her back.
As she approached Alex, he felt a jolt of confusion. The room seemed to spin around him, and his vision blurred. When it cleared, he saw Elora standing before him, her face somehow… familiar.
    “Naomi?” he whispered.
Alex’s eyes locked onto Elora’s, confusion swirling in his mind. Yet, as he gazed at her, he felt an inexplicable pull. Elora’s smile deepened, and she leaned in closer, her breath whispering against his skin.
“Take me Alex, I am yours”.She let go off the towel.
“Why are you avoiding me? What did I do wrong?”.He asked weakly as he caress her body and she moan.
“you did nothing wrong, I am here now, take me”
Their lips met in a gentle, exploratory kiss. Alex’s world spun, but this time, it wasn’t just the alcohol. Elora’s touch ignited a spark within him, and he deepened the kiss, lost in the moment.
While the moment was getting more intense with Elora winning, Naomi emerged from the balcony, her face contorted in shock and disgust, the scene in front of her left her speechless and frozen in horror. She suddenly knew this wasn’t Alex’s true intentions, her eyes blazed with fury as she quickly pushed Alex off her and Elora was shock as she quickly covered herself with the blanket.
“You!” Elora exclaimed, her voice trembling with guilt and fear. “How did you get here?” She sputtered, her eyes darting back and forth like a trapped animal.
“You snitch!” Naomi frowned at her. “What did you do to him?” She snapped at her.
    “N-nothing” Elora stammered.
“I want you out of here, I will release my anger on you” Naomi said angrily, her voice echoing through the room.
Elora flinched to see the anger in her eyes, she hurried picked up her clothes and rushed out, tears of shame and fear streaming down her face.
“Naomi” he called weakly, his voice a mere whisper.
“I’m right here Alex, what did she do to you” Naomi’s voice softened as she rushed to his side, her anger momentarily replaced with concern.
“I want you” Alex leaned closer, kissing her neck.
“Alex, you have to control yourself” Naomi said, trying to stop him.
“I want you, please” he whispered, his voice full of longing.
“I cant believe she tried to have her way with you” Naomi said, her anger reigniting, as she managed to help him to the bathroom.
She helped him to the tub and turned the shower on, making it a little cold, Alex gasped, she joined him inside the tub, making him lean his back on her.
The water continued to drop on them, and slowly Alex began to feel relaxed and doze off while Naomi caressed his hair.

Diva had refused to come out of her room since she returned from the dinner at Nathan’s place. Her parents had tried to confront her, but she ignored them, wallowing in pain and sadness. Elora came over after Queen Lala called
“Diva, open up, it’s me,” Elora said, knocking gently on the door.
The door creaked open, revealing Diva’s teary face. Elora and Queen Lala exchanged worried glances, and Elora pulled Diva into a warm hug.
Some moments later, they were seated on the bed, still consoling Diva and wondering why she was crying.
“What happened? You’ve refused to talk to me since you came back from Nathan’s place,” Queen Lala said, her voice soft and gentle.
“She went to Nathan’s place?” Elora asked.
“Yes, his mother invited her for the family dinner,” Queen Lala replied.
“What happened, Diva? Tell us,” Elora asked.
“I got dumped,” Diva sniffled, tears streaming down her face.
“Dumped? By who?” Queen Lala asked, confused.
“Nathan,” Diva sobbed. “He chooses that gold-digger over me. She’s succeeded in taking him away from me.”
“Who are you talking about?” Elora asked, still confused.
Diva opened up the whole story to them, telling them about Nathan’s announcement and how he had chosen Mia over her. Elora and Queen Lala listened attentively.

Meanwhile, at Mr. Daniel’s house, Nathan and Alex were helping the ladies tidy up the place that the robbers had messed up.
“You guys didn’t have to do this,” Naomi said.
“Why not? If we leave you two to this alone, it will be too hard for you,” Alex replied, his hands moving efficiently as he picked up scattered items.
“It’s not that difficult,” Mia said, trying to protest, but Nathan just smiled and continued helping.
“We’re not complaining,” Nathan said, his eyes crinkling at the corners.
The ladies sighed, knowing they wouldn’t stop even if they persuaded them to.
Back at the palace, Queen Lala and Elora were shocked by what Diva had said.
“Oh my! He did that?” Elora asked, her eyes wide with surprise.
“This is the height of it! Those ladies have succeeded in brainwashing them,” Queen Lala said, h
“I knew all this would happen,” Elora said, her voice tinged with sadness. “They’ve succeeded in taking our men from us.”
“I won’t let this slide,” Queen Lala said.
“It will be best if we let things be,” King Luke said, interrupting from the doorway as he entered. They turned to him, surprised. “You can’t force love,” he continued. “Those men went after what their hearts wanted.”
“Dad, they’re being manipulated by them,” Diva said.
“No, it will be best if you let go and let them be,” King Luke said, his voice calm and wise.
“How can you support them?” Queen Lala asked, her voice rising in anger. “Those ladies bewitched their men and stole them away from them, and you’re here in support of it? Were you brainwashed too?”
“Mind your tongue, woman,” King Luke said, his voice firm. “I stand for what is right. If you guys don’t want to regret this in the future, I advise you to let it go and find yourselves better men as well.” He turned and walked away, leaving Diva’s tears to increase.
“I don’t want to leave Nathan,” she sobbed. “I love him.”
“Mine too,” Elora said sadly. Queen Lala sighed tiredly.
Some minutes later, after everything was back in place, Naomi and Mia prepared food for them. They sat down around the dining table like one big happy family. Just as they were about to eat, they heard a police siren outside and wondered what could be going on. Nathan and Alex stood up to check it out, and the girls followed behind.
As they came out, they were met with a surprise: police cars surrounding the compound, with neighbors looking on curiously.
“Mr. Adam, it’s a good thing you’re okay,” one of the inspectors said as they moved towards them.
“What’s going on here, officer?” Nathan asked, confusedly.
“We’re here for a warrant arrest of Miss Mia for kidnapping the governor’s son,” the officer replied, and they were all taken aback. Mia and Naomi gasped in shock, standing behind the men.
“What?” Alex asked, his voice rising in incredulity. Mr. Daniels came.
    “What’s going on?” he asked.
“What stupid warrant, and whose governor’s son was kidnapped?” Nathan asked, his anger growing.
“Your mom made a complaint to us that you were kidnapped by this lady,” the officer said, pointing at Mia, who flinched in fear.
“That’s not true,” Nathan said firmly. “I was not kidnapped. This lady is my fiancée, and nothing like that happened.”
“I’m sorry, we’re just following orders,” the officer replied.
“What stupid order?” Alex intervened. “Are you deaf? He said he wasn’t kidnapped. It’s just a misunderstanding.”
“Please, officer, my daughter is innocent,” Mr. Daniels said weakly.
“Please leave,” Nathan said, his voice firm.
“Okay, Mr. Adams, if you say so, we’ll take our leave,” the officer said, and they left with the rest of the officers, entering their cars and driving off.
The neighbors murmured to each other as they watched the scene unfold. Nathan and the others went back inside, still trying to process what had just happened.
“I’m so sorry for the trouble,” Nathan said.
“It’s okay,” Mr. Daniels replied. “But I think it will be best if you two went back home. Your families might not have the right impression about your whereabouts, and as it is now, my daughters and I are no longer safe.” The guys sighed, knowing he was right.
“Once again, we’re sorry,” Alex said.
“We’ll be on our way now,” Nathan said, their eyes locking with their women in a reassuring gaze before they left.
    ********
Nathan drove home, his anger simmering as he thought about confronting his mother. He entered the living room, where his mother was seated on the couch, her leg crossed as she operated her phone.
“Mom,” he called out, his voice laced with anger. She ignored him, not even bothering to look up. “What do you think you’re doing?” Nathan asked, his anger boiling over. “Giving a false complaint to the police?”
“She’s lucky she’s not in jail right now,” she replied nonchalantly, still not looking up.
“For goodness’ sake, Mom, what’s your deal?” He asked, frustratedly. “What problem do you have with her?”
“A lot!” She yelled, standing up as the rest of the family came out of their rooms due to the noise in the living room. “That lady is not the woman I planned for you to have.”
“You don’t decide my fate for me, Mother, I don’t need your permission to go after what my heart wants.”
“I don’t care,” she said, her voice rising. “I’m your mother, and I know what’s good for you. That lady will lead you to destruction. I know she’s only after your money and nothing else.”
Nathan scoffed. “I don’t give a damn about what you think of her. She’s the woman I chose for myself, and that’s it. Either you accept her or not, I don’t care. I urge you never to pull the stunt you did today again,” he warned, before turning and walking away, climbing the staircase.
“Nathan! Not on my watch will you be with that girl!” She yelled after him.
“Mom!” Anna called out from the staircase, not liking what her mother was doing.
“It would be better if you allowed your son to choose the path that makes him happy and not interfere,” Mr. Adam said, before turning and going back to his room, followed by his other children, leaving their mother standing alone in the living room.
Naomi’s mother was seated in her lavish office when someone knocked on the door. She ushered the person in, and a guy entered, holding a brown envelope. He moved to drop it on her desk, and she opened the envelope, bringing out the photos inside.
As she glanced through the photos one after the other, a warm smile spread across her face. “Are these all you have?” she asked, smiling.
“Yes, ma’am,” the guy replied, his voice professional.
“Okay, you did a great job, thank you,” she said, her eyes still fixed on the photos.
The guy bowed and left the office, leaving her alone with her thoughts. She continued staring at the photos

Elora was rushed to Alex’s room by one of the guards. The doctor was called immediately, and he asked everyone to excuse him so he could check on the patient alone. They did as instructed, reluctantly leaving the room.
“Are you happy now?” Queen Lala yelled, her anger boiling over.
“Mom, what happened wasn’t my fault,” Alex replied, trying to defend himself.
“Whose fault is it, then? Why are you on the edge of making me a laughing stock in this kingdom?” She yelled, her voice echoing through the hallway.
Alex sighed tiredly and walked away, ignoring his mother’s continued calls.
“I am sorry it turn out this way,” King Luke said, turning to Elora’s parents.
“It’s okay. We can’t force our kids to do what they don’t want,” Elora’s father replied, his voice understanding.
“Are you two aware of this decision he made?” Elora’s mother asked. The two men exchanged a glance.
The doctor emerged from the room,
     “How is she?”.Diva asked curiously,
“Well, she’s going to be fine. She’s awake now,” he said, and they all breathed a sigh of relief.
Meanwhile, Alex had driven out of the palace, his destination Naomi’s place. As he drove, his cell phone rang, and he connected it through Bluetooth.
“Hey bro, how’s it going?” Nathan asked from the other end of the phone.
“Not quite good. Right now, I’m out of the palace,” Alex replied.
“Where are you going?” Nathan asked,  Alex sighed.
“Naomi’s place. I just need to clear my head.”
“Okay, take care. I’ll talk to you later,” he said, and they hung up.
Alex increased the speed of his car, and soon he arrived at Naomi’s house. He rushed out and gently tapped on the door. After a brief wait, the door opened, revealing Naomi’s surprised face. Before she could react, Alex pulled her into a warm hug.
“I missed you,” he said, holding her tightly. Naomi was taken aback by his sudden visit, but she wrapped her arms around him, returning the hug.
After a while, they pulled away from each other, and Alex caressed her face, resting his forehead on hers. He let out a soft sigh, feeling some of his tension melt away.
As the minutes passed, Alex lay down on Naomi’s lap, his eyes drifting closed as he fell into a calm sleep. Naomi gently stroked his hair, watching over him.
Just then, Mia emerged from another room, taking in the scene before her.
“Oh, Alex is here?” she asked softly, moving closer.
“He came a while ago and hasn’t said much,” Naomi replied. “He just wanted to take a nap.”
“I don’t think it went well,”
“Yeah,” she agreed, and they both sighed. As they watched Alex, a gentle smile spread across his face in his sleep.
“I guess he’s having a nice dream,” she said, smiling. She stood up to leave. “Let me leave you two alone.”
With a gentle nod, Mia walked away, leaving Naomi to continue stroking Alex’s hair.

Back at the palace, Diva and the rest were trying to console Elora, who was overcome with tears.
“What did I do wrong? Why did he want to end our relationship when our wedding is almost close?” Elora sobbed, her body shaking with each cry.
“He’ll come around, I’m sure he doesn’t mean what he said,” Diva said, trying to reassure her.
“Just stop crying, I’ll make sure he comes back to his senses,” Queen Lala said.
“I don’t want to lose him,”
“You won’t, just stop crying,” her mother said, trying to comfort her.
“I know my son is not in his right senses,” Queen Lala said.
Meanwhile, in the throne room, King Luke and Elora’s father were having a conversation.
“I’m sorry things didn’t go as planned. All I want is my son’s happiness. He’s confided in me, and as a father, it’s my duty to support his decision,” King Luke said.
“I understand, Your Highness. My daughter is still young and healthy. Another man will come for her. She’ll get through this somehow,” Elora’s father replied, his words filled with wisdom.
    “Thank you for understanding,”
“You’re welcome,” he replied, and they shared a smile before moving on to another topic.
       *Mr Daniels house*
Alex was still fast asleep in Naomi’s lap, his peaceful slumber a testament to the fact that he hadn’t had a restful sleep in a long time. Naomi continued to stroke his hair gently, her fingers tracing the contours of his face. She noticed his phone had been vibrating nonstop, with each of everyone’s name flashing on the screen. First, it was his mother, then Elora, and now Diva. She sighed, seeing the caller’s ID.
Soon, Alex opened his eyes, waking up to meet Naomi’s gaze. He smiled.
“You’re finally awake. Did you sleep well?” He nodded, still smiling.
“I haven’t had a peaceful sleep like this in a long while,” he said, still lying on her lap.
    “Why? Having trouble sleeping?”
“No, maybe because my heart was troubled. But right now, it’s as if I’ve dropped off a heavy load off my shoulders,” He replied, his eyes locked on hers.
“I’m glad you slept well,” she said, and they shared a smile. Alex sat upright on the couch, drawing closer to her. As their faces were inches apart, he cupped her face, and she gulped hard. They leaned in for a kiss when the ringing of the phone interrupted them. He ignored the call.
“Your phone has been ringing nonstop,”
“I don’t want to answer it,” he replied, his face still close to hers.
“It could be your father this time. First, it was your mother, Elora, and then Diva called as well,” he said, her words bringing Alex back to reality. He sighed and pulled away from her, his look changing.
Alex took the phone from the table and saw it was his father calling. He picked it up without hesitation.
“Hello, Dad,” he said, his voice calm.
“Hey, son, how are you?” King Luke asked from the other end of the phone.
    “I’m fine, Dad,”
“That’s a relief. Your mom said you weren’t answering her call, same with your sister,”
“I just wanted to ignore their nagging and get some good rest,”
“Where are you right now? Are you with her or Nathan?”
Alex turned to Naomi, smiling, and she wondered why he was smiling.
“You can take a guess,” Alex said, his eyes locked on Naomi’s.
“Oh, I get it. Try and invite her to the palace soon,”
“I will, Dad. Thank you for your understanding,”
“You’re my son, your source of happiness is my number one priority,”
    “Thank you,”
“Alright, talk to you later. Tell her I say hi, and say hello to her father for me,”
“I will, bye,” he said , and they hung up.
    “Is everything okay at home?”
“Yes, everything is fine. My dad sent his regards,” He said, his smile still plastered on his face.
“Huh? He knows you’re here?” she asked, looking a bit scared, and Alex nodded, still smiling.
“There’s no need to be scared. Dad actually knows my feelings for you, and he’s in support. Besides, he’s inviting you to the palace soon,” he said, and her eyes opened wider in surprise.
He leaned closer to the position they were before, cupped her face, and placed a soft kiss on her cheek. His touch sent shivers down her spine as he caressed her face, and she felt her body melt into his hands. As he continued to kiss her face and neck, Naomi’s breath caught in her throat.
“Alex…” she called out, biting her lip.
“Do you want to go out on a date with me this weekend?” he asked between kisses, his voice husky and low. Naomi was speechless,
He stopped and looked into her eyes, his gaze piercing. “Will you?”
“Can you give me a moment to think about it?”
“Can I get my answer tomorrow?” he asked, his eyes locked on hers.
“No, but before the weekend,” she replied.
“Okay, I’ll wait,” he said, and pulled her into a warm hug. They smiled at each other.
Some hours later, after spending enough time together, they bid each other goodbye. Alex got into his car and zoomed off, his destination known only to him.

As they arrived at the movie center, they stepped out of the car and headed inside. Nathan went to buy the movie tickets while Alex stayed with the ladies. Unbeknownst to him, a group of ladies couldn’t help but admire him, secretly snapping photos. Alex was engrossed in his phone, oblivious to the attention.
Naomi and Mia subtly distanced themselves from him, not wanting to be in the way. However, Alex quickly grabbed Naomi’s hand, pulling her closer. She was taken aback, her face flushing as she tried to hide from the admiring glances. Alex, on the other hand, seemed unfazed, while Mia watched with amusement.
When Nathan returned with the tickets, he noticed the commotion and swiftly intervened. He approached the ladies taking photos and, with the help of some security personnel, urged them to delete the images. The ladies looked disappointed but complied, deleting the photos. Nathan thanked them and the security team before turning to his group.
“Let’s go, I got the tickets,” Nathan said, leading the way.
“I’ll get some snacks,” Alex said, walking off and dragging Naomi along with him.
Mia and Nathan watched them go, exchanging a knowing glance.
A short while later, Alex and Naomi returned with snacks in hand. They joined Nathan and Mia, and together they climbed the lift to the cinema hall. Nathan held Mia’s hand as they ascended, while some onlookers continued to snap photos, making the ladies feel uneasy. Their men, however, seemed unbothered.
Upon entering the theater room, they found a secluded area designated for VIPs, thanks to the premium tickets Nathan had purchased. As they settled into their seats, the ladies couldn’t help but marvel at the luxurious setup.
The lights in the hall dimmed, plunging the room into darkness, until the screen lit up, illuminating the faces of the audience. The movie began, and everyone’s attention was riveted to the screen, including Naomi and Mia, who munched on their popcorn, their eyes glued to the action unfolding before them.
Meanwhile, at home, Elora was growing increasingly worried. He had tried calling Alex’s phone multiple times, but it went unanswered. It seemed Alex had left for the movie night without mentioning it to anyone at home.
“Is he still not answering?” Queen Lala asked, emerging from her room to join Elora in the living room.
“No, Mom, it’s already past 7 pm,” Elora replied.
“I left before him, and he said he was going out with Nathan,” Diva chimed in. “I’m sure that’s why he’s not back yet.”
“I’m not comfortable with his constant hanging out with Nathan. It’s been so long, and we haven’t even hung out.”
“Don’t worry, just wait for him. He’ll return.” Queen Lala said and they sighed.
Back at the cinema, the movie played on, captivating the audience. Alex and Nathan watched their partners, enjoying their reactions and laughter. As the credits rolled, the audience began to file out, but Alex and his friends remained seated, waiting for the crowd to disperse.
“Did you enjoy the movie?” Nathan asked Mia, his eyes sparkling with interest.
“It was amazing! I wish I could watch it over and over again.”
“I can make that happen. We can watch it again tomorrow.”
“Um, no, you don’t have to. I’m okay.”
Nathan took her hand, helping her up. “Let’s go,” he said.
“We’ll meet you two outside,” Alex called out to Nathan.
As Nathan and Mia departed, Alex turned to Naomi.
“You want to go somewhere with me?” he asked, his eyes locked onto hers.
    “Where?” She asked.
“It’s fireworks tonight at the bridge,” he replied. “It’s been a long time since I attended one. You want to come with me?” Naomi nodded, and Alex’s face lit up with a smile. “Okay, let’s go,” he said, taking her hand as they stood up and walked away.

As they stepped outside, Nathan revealed that he had already arranged for a car to pick him up. He handed the keys to one of his trusted guards, who had brought the vehicle over and he booked a ride for him to him home.
“Are we going on separate cars?” Mia asked.
“Yes, dear,” Nathan replied. “I have somewhere to take you.”
“Naomi and I are going to see the fireworks. We’ll see each other soon.”Alex chimed in.
The two women shared a warm goodbye, embracing each other tightly.
     “Stay safe,” Naomi whispered.
“You too,” Mia replied, pulling away from the hug.
As they parted ways, Alex opened the front door of his car for Naomi, while Nathan did the same for Mia. They bid each other farewell before driving off in different directions.
Some minutes later, Alex and Naomi arrived at the bridge. They parked the car and strolled hand in hand, taking in the breathtaking view. The bridge was dotted with couples and groups of people, all gathered to witness the fireworks display.
“Did we make it on time?” Naomi asked, her eyes scanning the sky.
“Yes, it will begin in the next thirty minutes,” Alex replied, smiling.
“This place is so amazing.”she said, as she took in the scenery.
“I’m glad you like the view,”
“I love it,” She replied, her smile radiant as they gazed up at the stars.
Just then, a shooting star streaked across the sky, and Naomi quickly made a wish. Alex watched her, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he smiled.
“What did you wish for?” he asked.
“I wish for a moment like this with you never to be a dream but a blessed memory.”she turned to him, her eyes shining with emotion.
Alex’s heart skipped a beat as he absorbed her words, feeling a deep connection to her. He looked at her, his gaze filled with admiration and affection.
“I want that too,” he said, his voice filled with emotion as he took her hands firmly, their eyes locking in a deep gaze. “I wish to be by your side forever and never let go.”
“Alex, that can’t happen. You’re engaged to be married soon.” She said as tears filled their eyes.
“That’s the mistake I made for going against what my heart wants… it’s always been you, Naomi. My heart always yearns for you.”
“I feel the same way too. I was scared to get involved with you because I didn’t want to get in the way between you and your betrothed. I’m just a poor girl trying to abstain from trouble.”
“I want you, Naomi. I tried so hard to control it, but it won’t stop.” He leaned in, his forehead resting against hers, their hearts beating as one. “I love you,” he whispered.
Just then, the fireworks erupted into the sky, illuminating the night with vibrant colors and patterns, making the moment of confession unforgettable for both of them.
“Alex…”her voice trembled as she whispered,
“I’ve always loved you since the very first day I set my eyes on you,” he said, his gaze piercing hers. His eyes burned with intensity as he pulled back slightly, cupping her face in his hand.
“Alex…” she sniffed, feeling his hand on her cheek.
“Do you love me too?” he asked.
“I do… I love you, I…” Her voice trailed off as she felt his lips silencing hers.
The kiss was electrifying, sending shivers down her spine. Alex’s lips were warm, gentle, yet demanding. He grabbed her waist, pulling her closer as he deepened the kiss. Naomi’s response was instinctive, her hands holding firmly to his shirt as she melted into the kiss.
The world around them melted away, leaving only the two of them, lost in the intensity of their emotions. The fireworks exploded in the sky, casting a kaleidoscope of colors over the bridge, but their eyes were closed, their focus solely on the kiss, their hearts pounding in unison.
As they kissed, the world seemed to stand still, time freezing in a moment of pure passion. Naomi felt like she was home, like she was exactly where she was meant to be. Alex’s lips were like a flame, igniting a fire that had been simmering beneath the surface for so long.
The kiss was a perfect symphony of emotions, a harmonious blend of love, desire, and passion. It was a kiss that spoke volumes, a kiss that said everything without needing words. And as they finally broke apart for air, their lips lingered, reluctant to let go of the moment.

Alex, dressed in a tailored suit, returned to the company, and the staff erupted into a warm welcome. The manager, along with the other employees, beamed with excitement, their faces lighting up at the sight of him.
The female staff members couldn’t help but blush, their cheeks flushing with admiration as they offered him flowers and other gifts. However, Alex’s personal guard and his PA stepped in, graciously accepting the gifts on his behalf.
Alex thanked them warmly, his smile genuine and appreciative. As he made his way to his office, the atmosphere remained electric.
Meanwhile, Naomi remained engrossed in her work, oblivious to the commotion outside.
As Alex entered his office, he was surrounded by the familiar comforts of his workspace. The room was sleek and modern, with a large wooden desk at its center, adorned with neatly arranged papers and a few select decorative items.
The walls were adorned with framed certificates and awards, a testament to his accomplishments. A floor-to-ceiling window behind his desk offered a stunning view of the city skyline.
Alex’s personal guard and PA followed him into the office, the manager trailing closely behind. The room was filled with the soft hum of conversation as they exchanged pleasantries and discussed the day’s schedule.
Alex’s eyes scanned the room, taking in the familiar surroundings before settling on his PA, who was waiting to brief him on the day’s agenda. With a nod, he signaled her to begin, and she launched into a detailed rundown of the day’s schedule.

Naomi was deeply engrossed in her work when the manager knocked and entered her office.
“Naomi,” he called out, and she quickly stood up.
“Sir,” she replied, her voice respectful.
“You are here,” he said, “I thought you were among the people who came to welcome the boss.”
     “The boss?” she repeated confusedly.
“Yes, he just arrived a while ago,” the manager explained.
“Oh, I’m sorry, sir,” she said. “I didn’t know. I was working on the files you gave me, but I’m done now.”
“It’s okay. I’ve already spoken to him about the files. You should go and submit them to him. The file needs his signature so we can complete the ongoing projects.”
“Okay, sir, I’ll do that right away.”
The manager nodded and left the office. Moments later, Olivia entered, carrying a stack of files.
“Ma, here are the files,” she said, placing them on the table.
“Thank you, Olivia,” Naomi said. “Do you know the CEO is back?”
“No, ma’am,” she replied. “I’m just hearing it from you.”
“Yeah, he’s back now.” She began arranging the files. “Do you have any idea where his office is?” She asked.
“Yes,” she replied. “The sixth floor. It’s the only office available there, and his secretary will be there to show you.”
“Thank you. Let me go now.”
With the files in hand, Naomi left her office and headed to the sixth floor using the elevator. As she stepped out of the elevator, she was greeted by a secretary seated comfortably at her desk, working on her laptop. The secretary looked up, and Naomi took two steps forward, ready to introduce herself.
“Good day,” Naomi said politely. “I’m here to see the boss. I heard he’s back, and these are the files the manager asked me to present to him.”
“Okay, hold on a sec.” She dialed a number on her telecom and spoke for a while before hanging up. “He said you can come in,” she said.
    “Okay, which direction, please?”
“The office facing you is his office,”
    “Okay, thank you,”
     “You’re welcome.”The secretary smiled.
Naomi moved forward to the office doorstep and knocked, waiting for a voice to usher her in. When none came, she entered, taking in the surroundings of the office. She was amazed by the lavish decor, with expensive interior design.
However, the CEO wasn’t seated at his desk. She wondered where he was. She moved closer to the desk and carefully placed the files on the table, making sure not to break anything.
As she stepped back, she noticed a nameplate on a classic glass design: Alex Luke. The name sounded familiar, and she couldn’t quite place it. Her eyes scanned the desk, and she saw a photo of Alex in a small frame. She gasped in shock, her eyes fixed on the photo.
     “Alex,” she whispered.
“Yes,” Alex replied from behind her.
Naomi froze, her heart racing. She turned to face him, her eyes locking onto his. She missed a step and almost lost her balance, causing the frame to fall from her hands and shatter on the floor.
Alex rushed to her side, quickly pulling her into his arms to prevent her from falling onto the broken glass.
Their eyes interlocked as she rested her hands on his shoulders, while Alex held her waist firmly. Naomi’s eyes were a mixture of surprise and confusion.
“Are you okay?” Alex asked firmly.
She quickly snapped back to reality, pushing away from him nervously. “Um, sorry, I didn’t mean…” she sputtered.
She tried to pick up the broken frame from the floor, but a piece of glass pierced her finger, causing her to let out a small cry of pain. Alex rushed to stop her and examined her middle finger, which was now bleeding slightly.
“Don’t do that,” he said, leading her away from the broken glass and making her sit on the sofa.
“I am…,” she began, but Alex interrupted her.
“Don’t say anything, just sit there,” he said firmly.
She gulped nervously as he moved to his desk and picked up his telecom. He phoned his secretary,2 instructing her to send a cleaner to his office.
Naomi remained quiet, watching as he moved to his cupboard and retrieved a first aid kit. He came back to her and sat next to her, gently taking her hand to treat the wound.
“I…,”  she tried to speak again, but Alex silenced her.
“Not a word,” he said, his voice soft but firm.
After treating the wound, he placed a small bandage on it.
“Don’t take it off until it’s fully healed, do you understand?” he asked, his eyes locked on hers.
Naomi nodded, still feeling a bit shaken.
Just then, a knock came at the door, and Alex called out,
“Come in.” An attendant entered with cleaning supplies, bowed to Alex, and began cleaning up the broken glass.
When the attendant finished, Alex instructed her to leave the frame, and she bowed and left.
She stood up, avoiding eye contact with Alex. “Um, I’m sorry for the mess,” she began. “I actually came to submit the files the manager asked me to work on…”
But Alex interrupted her. “I know,” he said, moving to his chair.
As he began signing the files one by one, Naomi stared at him in confusion.
“Aren’t you going to check for errors?” she asked.
Alex looked up at her, a hint of a smile on his face.
“I don’t think there are any errors,” he said. “I trust you.” Naomi watched as he finished signing the files and pushed them closer to her. “It’s done,” he said. “You can give them to the manager.”
“Okay, sir,” she  replied, taking the files.
As she turned to leave, Alex called out to her. “Naomi.”
She slowly turned back to him. “Yes, sir?”
“Um, I just wanted to say, welcome on board,”
“Thank you, sir.” She forced a smile.
With that, she rushed out of the office, closing the door behind her. As soon as she was alone, she leaned against the door, taking a deep breath and placing her hand on her chest.
After a moment, she composed herself and walked away, saying goodbye to the secretary before heading to the elevator.
Naomi entered her office and immediately dialed Mia’s number. The phone rang for a while before Mia picked up.
“Hey,” Mia said, answering the phone.
“Mia, there’s fire on the mountain,” Naomi said, her voice urgent.
“What, what happened? Are you in trouble?” She asked curiously.
“No, but you won’t believe what happened.”
“Geez, Naomi, I almost collapsed when you said there’s fire on the mountain. So, what happened?”
Naomi took a deep breath before blurting out the news. “Guess who the CEO of my company is.”
    “Who?”
    “It’s Alex.” She said anxiously.
Mia gasped audibly on the other end of the line. “Alex? Like… His Royal Highness?”
“Exactly! His father owns this company, and he’s now the CEO.”
“Oh boy, what do we do now? But how did you know he’s the CEO?” Naomi explained everything to Mia, from seeing Alex’s name on the desk to the shocking revelation. “Geez!”
“I don’t know what to do. What if his family finds out I work here? You know how they hate me. I don’t want to quit this job, I just got it, and I’m getting used to it already. What do I do, Mia?” She said sadly.
“Calm down, don’t think too much about this. We’ll discuss this when we meet later. Just try to relax and avoid seeing him.”
“How can I do that? He’s the boss!” She sighed in frustration.
“I know, just calm down, and we’ll find a way out.”
“Okay,” she replied before hanging up the phone.

Mr. Daniels quickly stepped forward and knelt down in front of the royal family.
“Please, Your Majesty, I am sure there is a mistake somewhere. My daughter is not a thief.”
“How come the bracelet was found in her bag?”Queen Lala asked.
Alex moved to Naomi’s side, his eyes filled with concern.
“Naomi, tell me the truth. Did you steal the bracelet?” he asked, staring deep into her eyes.
Naomi was too shocked to speak, her eyes wide with fear.
“She didn’t take it. I believe her.”Mia intervened.
“Wait, you said you left the bracelet in your room, so how come the bracelet was seen in her bag if she wasn’t in your room?” King Luke asked Diva.
Diva thought for a moment. “I remember I took her and Mia to my room earlier today.”
“Please, my daughter is not a thief.”Mr. Daniels pleaded.
“I believe her too. Naomi is a decent girl. Maybe there’s a mistake somewhere.”Mrs. Ruth added.
Naomi finally found her voice. “I didn’t take it.”
Alex smiled reassuringly. “I believe you.” He moved to his family’s side, his eyes pleading. “I think it’s a mistake. Maybe it fell on her back mistakenly. Please don’t punish her.”
The royal family remained silent for a moment before Diva spoke up.
“I guess it must be a mistake. Let’s forgive her.”
King Luke nodded. “Okay, since she is found not guilty, hope this act never repeats itself again.”
    The workers nodded in agreement.
“You all can go.”King Luke dismissed them.
The workers bowed and left, while the king and his family went inside.
The royal family returned to their meal after the issue was resolved.
“Be careful next time not to leave your things carelessly.” Queen Lala said.
“I will be careful next time.”
“I know Naomi can’t steal.”Alex spoke up, defence.
“Don’t defend her yet, you barely know her. What if she did steal the bracelet?”Queen Lala said.
Alex shook his head. “But she didn’t.”
“How sure are you? The first time I took her to my room, and my bracelet got missing. Who knows what her true intentions are?”Diva chimed in.
“I thought it had been settled. Why bring it up again?”King Luke intervened, his voice firm.
“We just want to be clear. No one has ever encountered stealing in this royal house before.”Queen Lala explained.
Alex stood firm, his eyes shining with conviction. “Her innocence was proved, so I believe her.”
“I’m not stopping your friendship with her, I just want you to be careful with your things. I still have my suspicions about her.”
“That’s enough. Let’s eat.”King Luke interrupted, his voice commanding.
The family continued their meal, the tension in the air slowly dissipating.
    ★_________★________★_______
Days later, Naomi was waiting in the living room for Alex, as was their usual routine. To pass the time, she pulled out her drawing book from her bag and knelt down in front of the table, beginning to sketch.
Just then, Queen Lala emerged from her room, a look of disdain flashing across her face before she quickly masked it with a false smile.
“Naomi,” she called, her voice dripping with insincerity.
Naomi looked up, polite as always. “Good day, Your Majesty.”
     “How are you?”
    , “I’m fine.Naomi replied
“I can see you’re here to see Alex.” She said.
    “Yes”.
“You can go to his room to call him.”
“Um, his guard has already gone to call him.” She hesitated.
“I know, Alex is sometimes forgetful. Just go, so he’ll know you’re waiting.”She persisted, her voice taking on a persuasive tone.
Naomi stood up, unsure, and walked away. Queen Lala smirked behind her back.
She arrived at Alex’s doorstep and knocked. When there was no response, she opened the door and stepped inside, her eyes widening in amazement at the sight of the room.
She looked around, taking in the opulent decor, and then heard the sound of the shower.
“Alex, are you in there?” she called out.
Alex’s voice came from the bathroom. “I’m coming, hold on, I’m taking a bath.”
“Okay, I’ll be at the garden waiting for you.”She replied.
She left the room, returning to the living room where Queen Lala awaited.
“Is he coming?” Queen Lala asked, her eyes narrowing.
She nodded. “Yes, he’s taking a shower. I’ll wait in the garden.”
    “Okay.”
Naomi put her book back in her bag and left the room, unaware of the queen’s true intentions.
       *Queen’s room*
There was a knock on her door, and Queen Lala asked the person to enter. A guard stepped inside, followed by Mr. Daniels. The guard bowed and left, leaving Mr. Daniels alone with the queen.
“You sent for me, Your Majesty.”Mr. Daniels bowed deeply.
Queen Lala looked at him with disgust. “Yes, I did.”
“Is there anything I can help you with?”Mr. Daniels asked.
Queen Lala’s voice was cold and rude. “I don’t need your stupid help!”
Mr. Daniels took a step back, his eyes widening in surprise.
“I know you’re aware of the closeness between your daughter and my son…I don’t like it, and I want it to end.”
Mr. Daniels gulped hard, his face pale. “I’m sorry, Your Majesty.”
“Sorry won’t solve this. I want to put an end to it…You know your daughter attends the same school my kids attend, and it’s through a scholarship. You also know my family has the highest percentage sponsoring that school.”
Mr. Daniels’s eyes grew wider as he realized the queen’s intentions.
“Your daughter’s future depends on you. I can make her scholarship terminated, and you know what will happen next.” She said and took a sip of her drink.
Mr. Daniels fell to his knees, pleading. “Your Majesty, please, I promise to do anything.”
“Sure, I have one task for you.”She smirked, her eyes cold.
Meanwhile, in the garden, Alex, Naomi, and Mia were playing together, laughing and having fun.
“Alex, why isn’t your sister here to play with us?”Mia asked.
     “Um, I don’t know. Maybe she’s busy somewhere.”Alex shrugged.
Mia nodded, and they continued playing.
“I have something for you, Naomi,” Alex said. He brought out a candy in the shape of a ring.
“Here you go,” he said, handing it to her.
Naomi’s eyes lit up. “Thank you.”
Alex smiled and then turned to Mia. “I have one for you too, Mia.”
He brought out a candy chocolate and handed it to her. Mia’s face lit up, and she quickly unwrapped the candy and popped it into her mouth.
    “Sweet!” she exclaimed.
     “You’re welcome.”Alex chuckled.
Naomi removed the candy from the plastic ring and popped it into her mouth. She then placed the ring on her finger, and they all chuckled.
Hours later, they bid each other goodbye and went their separate ways. Naomi walked over to where her father was sitting, lost in thought.
“Dad, are you okay?” she asked, concern etched on her face.
Her father jolted out of his thoughts, a forced smile spreading across his face. “You’re back.”
Naomi smiled and sat down next to him.
“Yes.” She brought out her drawing book and showed it to him. “I drew a lot today.”
Her father’s eyes scanned the pages, a genuine smile spreading across his face. “Wow, nice drawing.”
“Thank you, Father.”She beamed with pride.
But then her father sighed. He turned to her, his eyes filled with a deep concern, and caressed her face.
“Naomi, there’s something I want to tell you,” he said, his voice low and serious.
    Naomi’s eyes locked onto his,
