      MILLY POV 

 I gently pulled out my hand from his “what are you saying??”

“I know this is all so soon but please accompany me to greece”he said

“Just because i brought milly to you,doesnt mean that i would start doing everything you ask me lucas,though i have forgiven you,i wouldn’t want you to think that you and i can go back being the way we were before”i said 

“Why cant we?”he said 

“Have suffered so much for what i did to you and youve also beared the pain of giving birth to my daughter with no one,isnt it time we tried to make something of our lives”he said

“And what would you suggest,that i follow you to greece and  then do what?”

“Stay with me,at least having your company there would help me go through all the recovery i have to go through “he said 

“But why would you want me there?”i said 

“To watch over lisa and maybe sort of a companion to me”he said 

Having to be close with lucas would only reopen things that i will rather  forget

Things that i never want to remember and so rejecting  his offer would be for the best

 “No lucas,i cant accompany you”i said

“But……”

“No,as far as am concerned your the father of my child and thats all”i said 

“But milly cant we be friends,companion or something else,dont just treat me like am only lisa father”

“Okay lucas lets get somethings straight,youve ruined me for any other man and whats left of me,i want it to be alone with myself,i dont want to be with anyone most especially a guy,am sorry lucas,you will just have to go alone”i said 

I quickly went to get lisa and her things and we both left the place

I dont know what has suddenly prompt lucas to ask me that question

But i think that where he went to with david had given him that idea

I starred at david and saw him playing with lisa,giving her his full attention not  wanting to talk to me but i knew he was hiding something and i intend to find out

“That was too forward,you should have waited a bit”Luisa said

“Not when i would be leaving for greece  tomorrow “i said as i kept on typing

 “So then stay and woo her a bit more,dont just rush her” 

“I once did that with her and am not sure if she would want to go through the same thing again”i said

“Thats all in the past lucas what matters now is that your sincere with her now and whatever you do or however you court her its all genuine”luisa said

I had been disappointed when  she refused,i hadnt thought that she wont be comfortable around me yet and i had asked her that question hoping she jump into my arms and say yes

That  was the milly i knew before,the milly now is a different,it would be hard to get into her heart but i do hope that i suceed even if it means lying to her about my health

“Your right luisa,i will prosptpone my trip even though its a very important trip and i will make sure she accepts my offer of going to Greece with me”i said meaning every word

“Its so good to see you again my friend”luisa said walking towards me to hug me like weve been best of friends for years

“And she must be lisa,isnt she so gorgeous,from my side of view i think she looks like her dad”luisa said that last part starring at me

I drew lisa to me and starred at luisa

“Why are you here”

“Thats no way to talk to  your friend milly”my dad said

“Dad,mom please watch over lisa,my friend and i need to talk “i said 

Together we both went outside 

 

“Why are you here?”i said in anger

“Believe me when i say this milly,i didnt come to stir up trouble”she said

“Then why did you come?”i said

“Its on behalf of lucas”

“Listen if your here to beg me or…..”

“I didnt come to beg you,i just came to explain the real side of things,lucas is not to be blamed,i am”Luisa said

“Nothing gives lucas the right to hurt a woman all for revenge,there is simply no justification for that”i said

“I know too,i know but he did it thinking david raped me,you see in greek a girl virginity is her pride and when that psycho beast raped me,i had lose my pride and my dignity  and my brother being him  tried to restore it back in a way for me but he did it in a wrong way,he raped you and took away your innocence but let me tell you this when he found out that you were innocent,he hated himself for it”she said with tears in her eyes

“I watched him suffer for it,he would always drink and get himself drunk,he hired a lot of investigators just to search for you and each time they came back without any good news he goes crazy and ends up drinking and getting drunk,there are times i would catch him standing by the door holding your picture in his arms,saying your name and there are times that he would call out your name at night,i watched everuthing milly,he really suffered too”she said

Though i had been the one rape,i didnt really go through all this and i must admit that lucas had really went through a lot

But i just cant forgive him,if lisa hadnt been in my life,i would have also gone through the same thing

“He is paying for his sins and i hope he dies with it”i said not really meaning my word

Its the anger in me that brought it out

“Seems like your wish would come true”she said suddenly

“What do you mean”i said 

“You said he should die with it”she said

“Yes i said that but  it doe…….”i stopped and starred at her

“Yes milly,lucas has few months to live”she said

“But how come”i said

“There was a time he drank himself up,with the help of the neighbours i took him to the hospital and they confirmed to me that lucas has cancer”she said crying

I stood shocked hearing what she said,lucas has cancer and he has a few months to live,could that be the important thing he said to me at the park

“He wouldnt tell anyone milly and trying his luck with you today will be his very last time”she said

“Why did you say that”

 “He is going back to greece tomorrow,please milly let him spend a little time with lisa,please “she said begging me

“And why is she here?”david said and we both turned to stare at him

He was so very angry 

“David”i heard luisa say behind me abd before i could say jack she had gone to him hugging him

“I never got the chance to thank you,thank you so much “she said crying in his arms

David wanted to hold her at first but when he saw my face he pushed her away

“Your thanks wouldnt change what your darn brother did to my sister”he said angrily

“Its a mistake i made david,please forgive my brother and i”she said

“No Luisa ,you and your brother messed up my sister life,i wont let you do it anymore,now get out”he yelled at her

“Whats going on”my parents said as they came out of the house

“Its nothing dad”i said

“Please david”luisa said still crying

“What did you do to the guest david”my mother said

“I didnt do a thing,they did it to us,her brother and her”david said

“What did they do”

“Her brother raped milly,thats the secret we have been hiding from you dad and mom”david said breaking the truth to our parents

        lucas pov 

I got home feeling so very angry,they had left and had left me at the airport feeling so sad

David didnt even let me see them,he didnt allow me to meet my child

And knowing milly and david,i wont ever be given that chance

Feeling so frustrated,i went to my only source of peace

My drink,it has been the only thing that has kept me going

Just then luisa walked in and on seeing me with my drink,she walked towards me

“Still on this lucas”she said taking the drink away from me

thanks to the constant care she recieved from the doctor,luisa managed to get out of the rape world she was in

She took back her life and live life the way it is 

Though she is still scared around some guys,she has managed to feel free around the rest

   “She is back”i said 

“Who ?”

“Milly “i said 

“Finally,common lets go meet her and ask for her forgiveness “she  said 

“Have been trying to talk to her but she wouldnt give me that chance “i said

“I know,if i were to see my rapist again,i wouldnt want to see or talk to him”she said 

“Thanks for reminding me of that”i said 

“No am not trying to remind you of that” she said 

“I know,afterall am a rapist”

“We both know that you did it for me,you did it thinking it was david who raped me”she said

“And that has been the greatest mistake have ever made in my life” i said

“Tell how did milly react?”

“She was scared,frightened of me,the same look i had seen on the day i raped her,i just cant forgive myself “i said 

“Its going to be okay lucas”she said holding me

“Its not,it just wont,can you believe that the horrible thing i did to her result to her getting pregnant “i said 

“You mean she gave birth?”

“To a little girl called lisa,she looked like an angel”i said 

“Did she see you”

“yes she did and she was crying,my child was scared of me”i said 

“Maybe she doesnt know you yet,give her time …..”

“Time?milly wouldnt let me get close to her”i said 

“That is because you both have not talked yet,youve not apologised to her,youve not told her how much Youve suffered too”luisa said

“She wont ever give me that chance and david,david would not let me get close to her”i said

“We will just have to figure out something lucas,you musnt give up yet”she said holding me close

Luisa is right,i must not give up not just yet……

        💭milly pov💭

I stood in the room watching mom and dad play with their grandchild

Theyve really missed me alot,ever since David brought me home

Its been cries and happiness,especially from my mom who was at first angry that i went off and then happy that have returned and with their grandchild in toll

They never knew the real reason why i left ,i never told them and david also

While my parents played with lisa,i walked with david in the garden outside

“Its all my fault that that creep did what he did to you”david said 

“It was never your fault”i said 

“If only i hadnt helped  his sister,if only i hadnt told her my name,this wouldnt have happened”he said looking guilty

The only person that is meant to feel guilty is  lucas not him

“Dont david,dont feel sad,you only did the right thing back then and i am proud of you”i said 

“Really?”

“Yes david,you saw someone in distress and you helped and besides lets think about it,in all of this mess i have lisa,your little charming neice and am sure that you two will get along”i said giving him a smile

“Your a real fighter milly,through everything  you came out strong,am proud of you”he said hugging me

“Millly!!!!!”

On hearing lucas voice,i moved out of david arms

“Whats wrong ?” David said

“Its lucas,i heard him “i said

“That cant be,he wouldnt dare show his face here”david said

“Milly,i wont leave until weve talked”he said again

David stood up looking so very angry

“Am going to kill that fool”he said walking off….
