~𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝗔𝗙𝗧𝗘𝗥, 𝗥𝗢𝗬𝗔𝗟 𝗥𝗘𝗕𝗘𝗟𝗦 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡~

Grey stepped into the living room,he was shirtless and beads of sweats are visible on his body,he just came out of the gym actually,his hair looks wet as well and he was holding a towel. 

Chase is currently sitting on the couch,grinning at his phone,he didn’t notice Grey at first. 

“Which bitch entered your trap this time around?” Grey questioned and he scoffed. 

“They might enter my trap,but you know I never keep them trapped” He said and Grey chuckled.

Rocky came in with a wine glass in his hand,he looked around.

“Where’s Zayne? His room again?” He asked. 

Grey and Chase sighed in cooperation and shook their heads.

“Are you sure he’s not suffering from depression? He has refused to come out of that room since he came,I understand things aren’t good right now,but why stepping down from the throne as well?” Grey asked.

“I support his decision anyway,he should have fun with his youthful self” Starr said as he joined them. 

“So you think he’s having fun right now? He’s no more the same Zayne I knew” Rocky Said. 

“Do you gather to talk about me this way? Always?” They heard Zayne’s voice and all their heads turned to the same angle.

He was standing on the fourth staircase,his two hands slipped inside his pockets and his eyes were shining brightly as he stared at them. 

“Finally you’re down” Chase said. 

“Aren’t we going to school today? I’m hungry though” Zayne said and came down. 

“School? You are going to school?” Rocky asked,not believing what he just heard. 

“I’m sure you heard me clearly” Zayne rolled his eyes and sat down,he already picked a stick of cigarettes when Grey spoke up. 

“Are you seriously giving up on the throne forever? Like you won’t be the king anymore?” He asked. 

“I never wanted to do it anyway,and now that I found out that the palace is built upon the rock of lies and evil,much more than I thought,I’ve given up,Theny can have it……”

“If Theny can have it,then why is Hunter and Lionel coming here every day just to see you but you wouldn’t even come out of your room” Rocky sighed. 

Zayne looked up and held the cigarette in between two fingers. 

“And what about Charlotte?” Starr asked. 

“I have nothing to do with Charlotte,,I feel bad for her that she wasted her time with me when she was supposed to be studying and having fun,that’s why I let go of her,she should be happy now” Zayne muttered. 

“Is he a psychopath?” Chase asked Grey. 

“Maybe he is” Grey mumbled. 

“You think she would be happy now?” Rocky asked. 

“Sure” Zayne said.

“Are you happy?” 

“No I’m not” Zayne snapped immediately. 

“I’m sad and angry,so that’s why I need to go to that school today and have a little bit of fun……” 

He didn’t finish when they heard the door bell sound,the boys exchanged glances. 

The door opened and a guard entered,he bowed. 

“Masters,a lady is here” He said.

“Lady?” Rocky frowned a little. 

“Yes,that’s me” Erica came in with a grin on her lips. 

Immediately Zayne saw her,he groaned and stood up. 

“Don’t allow her in” He told the boys and went upstairs. 

“Sorry,but handle your shits on your own!” Grey shouted after him as Erica followed him. 

Zayne entered his room and Erica slipped in right before he could close the door. 

“Zayne….I missed you” She said softly and hugged him,tight. 

“How did you fucking get the information that I am here?” Zayne questioned dryly. 

“When I heard about what happened,I knew you would be here…….”

“Let go” Zayne mumbled,but Erica didn’t get it at first. 

“Let go of me!!” He yelled. 

She flinched and immediately broke the hug. 

“You knew I would be here so what? Who gave you the right to show up senselessly?” He glared. 

“You can’t continue doing this to me Zayne,right now,we should take our relationship further,Charlotte was the reason why we couldn’t work,but now that you are…..” She paused when Zayne chuckled maniacally. 

“Whoa,you must have really exaggerated a lot about me,you think if Charlotte wasn’t in the picture,I would date you.” He asked.

Erica swallowed into nothing as she stared at Zayne with shaking hands,she had to use one to hold one.

“You’re not getting something right here,you and I were never something,you were just one of the girls I used to pass time over,nothing special going on,so don’t be forward. I will rather remain single for the rest of my life than dating you” Zayne said icely,no single remorse on his face. 

Balls of tears rolled down from Erica’s eyes. 

“When you’re done,get out of my room and close the door” Zayne muttered and went into the bathroom. 

In her tears and shaking body,Erica dragged her legs out of the room.

“Getting ready for school already?” Rocky entered Starr’s room.

“You should do the same and stop sneaking around” Starr faced him,he was just about putting on a jacket. 

Rocky moved closer and sunk his fingers deep into his hair. 

“I spent my time arranging that” Starr raised his brows. 

“You should spend time with me,not your hair” He said. 

“What are you saying” Starr mumbled and turned away from him. 

Rocky smiled and leaned forward,close to his ear but his breath was hitting Starr’s neck as well. 

“Your cheeks are red,try more harder to hide them sometimes” He whispered. 

“But it’s cute though” He added. 

Starr blinked and moved away from him. 

“I’m just cold” he mumbled. 

“Kisses can make you warm, a deep one” Rocky grinned. 

“Leave” Starr pushed him out of the room and closed the door. 

He touched his chest and it was as if someone was busy drumming with his heart,it was beating so fast that he had to stand still for like three minutes before moving again.

~𝗚𝗢𝗟𝗗𝗘𝗡 𝗣𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗘~

Samara entered Charlotte’s room and met her sleeping as expected. 

“You’re sleeping again? Aren’t we supposed to be on our way to school?” Samara asked. 

They are still in the palace simply because even after Zayne gave Charlotte the freedom to leave,the councils claimed that she can only leave if she wishes,they all believe she’s the only one who can bring him back to the palace. 

Theny too declined the idea of them leaving just him in the palace,right now the palace is empty,only the three of them stays there alongside the maids and guards. 

The royal councils comes every day to check if there’s news about Zayne,Hunter and Lionel aren’t tired as well. 

Samara sat down on the bed with Charlotte. 

“Are you crying again?” She asked. 

“No” Charlotte mumbled,her back was turned on Samara who she couldn’t see her face. 

“Then why are you here? You’ve missed alot of classes to even begin with,and……”

“I don’t care Samara,go alone” Charlotte said. 

“The test result you went to take is out,I chatted with the Doctor last night and he said he already sent everything to you,but I don’t know anything” Samara said. 

“It’s nothing special,he said nothing is wrong with me,but why do I feel so sad about it?” Charlotte asked. 

“Huh? Why?” 

“Maybe if something is wrong,he might just come back to me” She sniffs. 

Samara sighed. 

“I told you already right? He’s like that,he will surely be back,so stop crying and wait until he’s totally calm” 

“I will go get ready,you should do the same,we aren’t missing classes today,I don’t care how you do it” Samara snapped and went out. 

Charlotte sighed and sat up,she touched her tummy gently and rubbed her soft palm against it. 

Actually,,the Doctor announced to her that she’s currently pregnant,alongside the known test,he also discovered a baby inside her. 

But she hasn’t told anyone,not even Samara. She wants to break the news to Zayne first,but how is she going to do that when he obviously doesn’t even want to see her at all. 

She was missing him,badly than she imagined. At first she thought she was going to survive it,but only two days after,she broke down. 

She can’t even go to Niata,because they were strongly warned against anything that would threaten her mentality,if they try to force her to remember anything,then she might lose her memories forever,but for now she was prescribed some drugs and she’s been using them. 

Right now,she’s not aware that Charlotte is no longer a queen. 

Charlotte wiped her tears and got down from the bed,she walked into the bathroom in a hurry before Samara returns to throw fits.

~𝗥𝗢𝗬𝗔𝗟𝗦 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗬~

Samara and Charlotte got down from the car together and Samara inhaled. 

“Oh,how much I miss this air” She said. 

Charlotte said nothing and looked around to see if anyone was staring at her. 

“Don’t worry,nobody knows about brother’s pronouncement except the royal families who might have received it” Samara told her. 

“Which means…..”

“Only Erica is aware in this school,and I’m sure she wouldn’t say anything since it involves him as well,not just you” Samara explained. 

“Ohh” Charlotte nodded. 

Just as they started walking,four cars drove into the school and the students attention diverted to them instantly. They knew exactly the people who definitely owns those cars,so most of the students are already going close to take better looks. 

But the screams all doubled when Zayne stepped down from his own car and threw on a mini cross bag across his shoulder,fitting with his already hot boy looks. 

* O.M.G!!! It’s The King!!

* Does he gets more handsome every passing day?!!!

* I think I need oxygen,please!

* Why is he in school? To set my heart on fire!

They kept on screaming and staring but nobody took his pictures secretly or anything,all they could do was admire and stare. 

Others came out too and they went their way to their class. 

“Who else saw Charlotte and Samara aside me?” Grey asked. 

“Everyone saw them,I’m sure” Rocky scoffed. 

“Does she look happy like Zayne claimed? Coz I didn’t see her” Starr said. 

“Ion know how to read expression,maybe she’s indeed happy? Geez” Chase groaned. 

Zayne ignored them and found a place to sit,he sat down and put a gum in his mouth before closing his eyes. 

The boys stared at him sighed out,all at once. 

Starr’s phone rang and he checked the screen,Rocky raised his brows as Starr turned away to answer the call shortly. 

“I will be back” He said then left the class. 

“Where is he going?” Grey asked no one in particular before sitting down.

Red was waiting while leaning on the wall for Starr to show up,and he did, just few minutes after he called. 

“Why am I here?” Starr asked. 

Red grinned and moved over to him,Starr frowned and shifted a little bit backward. 

“What is it?” He asked. 

“Just want to see your face,since I don’t see you every time in school” Red said. 

“You’re being weird right now,why should you see my face?” Starr asked. 

“Let’s say,because…I like you?” Red smiled. 

Starr chuckled. 

“That sounds normal,you can’t possibly hate me,but still,don’t call me for something as useless as that,I only came because you’re my brother’s friend,don’t misuse the title” He glared. 

“You’re more cute when angry” Red smiled. 

Starr blinked,He was totally pissed off. 

“You didn’t know? The reason why I always annoy you back then,was because you’re always cuter when you are pissed” Red chuckled. 

Starr sighed. 

“What do you want now? To annoy me again?” He asked? 

“Why the fuck are you even here in the first place? The last time I checked,you don’t really like school….”

“I told you,I’m here because I like you” Red smiled. 

“Your reason is silly” Starr glared. 

Red moved closer. 

“I’m serious anyway” He muttered and wanted to touch his hair but a swift hand pushed it off before he could. 

Red looked up and saw Rocky glaring at him with every hatred and anger in his body. 

“Oh,boy” Red smiled. 

Rocky pulled Starr to himself. 

“Bother him again and I will kill you” he said in a threatening voice. 

“I don’t think that should be your business” Red said. 

“It’s between him and me” He added. 

Rocky looked at Starr.

“He’s delusional,there’s nothing between us. Ignore him,let’s go” Starr muttered and walked away. 

“Stay away from him” Rocky said. 

“Why? Because you also like him?” Red asked. 

“Also?” Rocky glared. 

“Of course,because I…..”

Before he could finish,a punch was thrown on his face,and his back hit the wall roughly. 

“Don’t try that,do you fucking understand?!” Rocky yelled. 

“Dude,you’re so aggressive,are you dating him already?” Red chuckled and wiped his bloody lips. 

“Stay away from him,this is going to be my last warning” Rocky muttered and pushed him off. 

He turned to go but met Starr standing there and staring at him. 

“I told you to let’s go” He said softly. 

“I just…..”

“I hate it when you’re aggressive over nothing,it’s annoying” Starr cut him off. 

“You don’t expect me to keep quiet when…..”

“You should have kept quiet,nobody sent you. Just fucking stop acting up,it’s annoying like I said,really annoying” Starr glared at him once more and walked away. 

Rocky bit his lower lip and change direction,he left as well.

~3𝗣𝗠~

Daniel was arranging his books into his bag,it’s the last lecture for the day and he was dying to just leave the school at once. 

Some girls came over to him and he looked at them. 

“Hi Dan” They waved with pretty smiles on their faces but Daniel only found it silly. 

The one in the middle adjusted her hair to appear more pretty, he just continue stocking his bag without looking at them. 

“I’ve always wanted to talk to you…can we…exchange contacts?” She asked shyly. 

“I don’t have time to answer calls,are you okay with that?” Daniel asked and she blinked. 

“What about…whatsapp?” She asked. 

“Same thing” Daniel faced her properly and she took her lip in. 

“Press it in…I’m sure you will reply me one day” She mumbled and Daniel chuckled. 

He took her phone and input his number,then gave her back. 

“Thanks” She smiled and dialed it,Daniel’s phone rang. 

“My name is Betty” She said and ran off,her friends followed her with happy screams. 

Daniel chuckled and shook his head. 

“Seems like you are having fun…..with my girlfriend” A boy came in with his two friends. 

“Girlfriend?” Daniel faced them. 

“You asked for her number? Guy I thought they said you don’t talk,but I understand,quiet guys are the most dangerous ones,stay away from my girlfriend if you love your life” He said. 

“You should respect yourself as a scholarship student” One of his friends said. 

Daniel sighed and rolled his eyes,he carried his bag and ignored them totally. 

He wanted to leave but they pushed his chest and he fell back. 

“Where do you think you’re going when I’m not done talking?!” He yelled. 

“You? Who are you?” They heard a voice and they all turned,angrily at first but the moment they saw Zayne,their eyes widened and they froze. 

“Gosh,it’s always the ugly ones” Zayne sighed and roughed his hair. 

“We are sorry your majesty!” They bowed. 

“Get out” He mumbled and they ran out. 

“You didn’t have to do that” Daniel said and Zayne looked at him. 

“Do you get bullied?” He asked. 

“Me?” Daniel chuckled. 

“Then why were you so quiet for them? You should have taught them a lesson” Zayne scoffed. 

“Anyway,bye” Daniel said. 

“Hey,are you ignoring me? You refused to answer my calls or reply to my texts” Zayne stopped him from moving. 

“Like you care” Daniel scoffed. 

“What are you talking about?” Zayne raised his brows. 

“You stepped down as the king,,you didn’t even bother to tell me or ask me….”

“What’s the essence of asking you? I only did that because I want myself back,being the king isn’t something I want……”

“Your opinion doesn’t really matter anymore,you said the late king…I mean…father clearly choose you” Daniel said. 

“You think it’s that easy? You think it has been easy for me? Neglecting my fun life and taking responsibility that’s supposed to be for the old ones?! Do you know my age at all? At some points,I was almost going crazy,just because I wanted to be a king to be proud of,but what happened? Everything is in the drain,I’m not born for this,I can’t be the king,I’m not a good husband either,I’m just Zayne,I’m a fucking small boy and I want to live like that,is that too much to ask? I can’t believe you are against me also” Zayne said. 

“If it’s hard for you then why can’t you just speak up instead of holding everything in? Like I said,you can’t give up now,you want the throne to be empty? You should think about father too” Daniel said. 

“I was thinking about him when I accepted the crown,,so let me think of myself alone for now” Zayne uttered and Daniel sighed. 

“Goodbye” He muttered. 

Zayne grabbed and pulled him back. 

“Don’t walk out on me,let’s eat lunch together” He said. 

They walked out of the class together. 

“How’s the new house? I was calling to ask if you needed any help but you totally ignored me, you’re more colder than I expected” Zayne scoffed. 

“The house is cool” Daniel mumbled. 

Zayne opened the car door for him and he entered,Zayne joined him,then zoomed off. 

“You should clear whatever you’re clearing off your head and return to the palace, Hunter and Lionel wouldn’t stop calling me” Daniel said. 

“I’m not going anywhere……..”

“Brother please!” Daniel snapped loudly and Zayne looked at him. 

“I believe I explained…….”

“What about Charlotte? Aren’t you thinking about her at all?”

“She shouldn’t be stuck with someone like me,she need to live her own life and leave that toxic family” Zayne said. 

“Live her own life? You think that’s what she wants?” Daniel raised his brows. 

Zayne said nothing and continue driving. 

Daniel checked his ringing phone,it’s Samara again,on the screen. 

He wiped red and turned it away,the phone buzzed again and different messages from her started popping up. 

SAMARA: Are you going to abandon me too?

SAMARA: You left the house,now I don’t even have access to you. 

SAMARA: You’re not planning to leave me right? You know I love you too much to give up.

SAMARA: Please talk to me,just once. I want to hear your voice,I miss you. 

Daniel switched off his phone. 

“Who’s that?” Zayne asked. 

“Samara” He mumbled.

“Are you ignoring her texts?” Zayne asked. 

“Because I don’t know how to face her or what to say to her” 

“You two are dating?”

“No” Daniel mumbled. 

“We were waiting…….because I said I wasn’t ready” He added.

“I guess you are not” Zayne muttered.

~8𝗣𝗠, 𝗥𝗢𝗬𝗔𝗟 𝗥𝗘𝗕𝗘𝗟𝗦 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡~

Zayne was alone by the pool,not inside but just sitting on one of the sun lounger benches beside the pool,alone,his eyes were closed. 

“Dude,are you okay?” Chase showed up and Zayne opened his eyes.

“I’m sure I look okay” He muttered and Chase nodded. 

“You have guests,here to see you” He said and before Zayne could talk,Lionel and Hunter walked in. 

Zayne sighed. 

“Your majesty” They bowed. 

“That word traumatizes me” Zayne scoffed. 

Lionel and Hunter separated and Charlotte walked out of their middle. 

Zayne blinked and frowned. 

“What is she doing here?” He asked. 

“So this is the reason why you left the palace? Because you wanted to come back to your past life that you were surrounded by bitches?” Charlotte asked. 

Zayne scoffed and said nothing,everyone walked away,leaving just them. 

“You must have had sex with a lot of girls already just within five days” She added. 

“I don’t think we have any business with each other anymore,so why are you here?” Zayne asked. 

Charlotte removed a paper from her bag and threw it on his face. 

Zayne took it and checked,he bat his lashes and looked at her. 

“What’s this?” 

“What does it look like? I’m pregnant,I’m pregnant with your child” Charlotte replied. 

Zayne chuckled. 

“Is this a prank?” 

Charlotte frowned. 

“Prank? I got that from the Doctor you sent me to! Do you think I’m desperate to have your child?!” She snapped. 

“Of course,I know you’re not. Everything was a lie after all” Zayne chuckled. 

“That was why I let you go,,I wasn’t expecting you to come back here to tell me you’re pregnant,if you don’t want to have my child,you know what to do” 

“Wait,you’re not telling me to get rid of it right?”

“You just f+cking said you’re not desperate to have it! Do you expect me to start begging to keep it?! You think I’m desperate for anything?!” Zayne snapped angrily. 

“It was a mistake coming here,,I should have kept it to myself and take care of it,on my own” Charlotte muttered tearfully. 

“I thought we wanted it,I thought you would be happy to hear about it,I thought…..” She broke into tears. 

“You announced it to me like I destroyed your life,how do you expect me to react when you threw it on my face like you don’t want it either?” 

“Because you were asking if it was a prank! Why would I prank you with something like this?!” She yelled. 

“Well I heard,screaming and crying aren’t good for pregnant ladies” Zayne said. 

Charlotte wiped her tears. 

“How…did you know that?” She looked at him. 

“I..read about it” He muttered. 

“Huh?” 

“I searched for it and I saw it,happy now?” Zayne rolled his eyes. 

“Why did you search?….”

“Are you slow? I searched because I wanted to learn how to treat you when you’re….finally….pregnant” He mumbled and looked away. 

“That was before anyway…..” Charlotte rushed to hug him before he finished. 

“I missed you….I couldn’t sleep” She cried. 

“I was scared you would meet other girls and leave me alone,I was scared” 

“Well it’s your fault nobody flirted with me” Zayne said and she looked up. 

“W…why?”

“Because, they know I only belong to you” He said. 

Charlotte blinked out tears. 

~𝗧𝗪𝗢 𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥~

It’s been two days since queen Vynessa confessed and it’s no longer a new thing,because the king immediately gathered an emergency meeting after that night and she was asked to confess right in front of the councils again which she did,she had no choice anyway. 

Charlotte on the other hand was just there,she’s not allowed to see Zayne,neither is she allowed to do anything in the palace,she’s just Charlotte,no title to her name again,though it’s not official yet as Zayne hasn’t pronounced it to the council. 

But now everyone is awaiting the king’s final judgment,Queen Vynessa is not allowed out of the palace either. 

Hunter entered the king’s office and bowed. 

“What do you want” Zayne asked icely,he’s been like this for the past two days,his face is always cold and scary to even approach. 

He was busy with some reports on the table when Hunter came in. 

He’s been working endlessly for two days straight without even sleeping and everyone’s worried,why is he in such a hurry to finish the works that is supposed to finish in even a month?

“Your majesty…..Queen….I mean..Charlotte is here” Hunter said and Zayne raised his head with a glare. 

“Do you love your job?” He asked. 

“I…….”

“Do you fucking love your job or not!!!!!” Zayne yelled. 

“I’m sorry your majesty,I will tell her you’re busy” Hunter immediately bowed. 

“Get out” 

Hunter rushed out instantly. 

Zayne dropped the pen in his hand and rechecked everything he just did,he finished everything,he overworked himself,but it was worth it. 

“Anybody there?” He called gently and Lionel entered. 

“Your majesty” He bowed. 

“Carry them all and put them in their respective places” Zayne muttered and Lionel’s eyes almost widened when he saw the gigantic papers on the table. 

He couldn’t even carry it at once,he had to divide it into two and carried one,another guard came in to take the second part. 

Zayne yawned and rest his back,then closed his eyes. But he couldn’t even sleep,all he was seeing was nothing else than the imagination of how queen Vynessa must have killed his mother. 

He opened his eyes again and picked his phone,he wanted to call Rocky or any of his friends but had to pause when Hunter came in with Lionel. 

“Your majesty” They bowed. 

Zayne looked at them. .

“We found the orphanage house where lady Gina’s son was taken to” Hunter said an Zayne immediately raised his brows. 

(Gina is Zayne’s mother)

“Which orphanage is that?” He asked. 

“Faiths orphanage,your majesty” Lionel replied. 

“The same faiths orphanage I know?” Zayne asked. 

“Yes your majesty,we are going there now to ask in details,we just want to let you……

“I’m going to do that myself,get the cars ready” Zayne cut in. 

They bowed and immediately went out of the office. 

Zayne got up and also followed.

“He just went out” Samara turned to Charlotte from the window and Charlotte looked at her,she was sitting on the bed deep in thought. 

“I wonder where he’s going” Samara sighed. 

“Maybe they found his brother?” Charlotte asked. 

Samara went to join her on the bed. 

“But what’s gonna happen to us?” She asked. 

“I don’t really care whatever happens to mom” Samara said. 

“But…she’s still our mom” Charlotte mumbled. 

“She can be your mom then,because I will never accept a murderer as my own mother,never” Samara rolled her eyes. 

Charlotte bit her lip,her mind already diverted to Zayne again. Even though she felt bad for herself,but she was more worried about Zayne,he’s the one who doesn’t have neither of his parents anymore. 

“I wonder how he’s doing,I miss him” Samara mumbled and Charlotte sighed. 

“I’m sorry,it’s all my fault” She said. 

“I would feel the same also if my boyfriend’s mother was the one who killed mine” Samara scoffed and Charlotte looked at her. 

“We should only be hoping for the best,I think the final judgment might come tonight” She said. 

“I wonder why everyone’s so quiet about it tho? I’ve been expecting Thorin or Calantha to come here and rant upon hearing that I’m not a princess” Samara scoffed. 

“Well,they can’t. Because they aren’t pure either,evil souls” Charlotte scoffed. 

“Sounds like you know a lot” Samara mumbled. 

“I guess” Charlotte sighed.

~𝗙𝗔𝗜𝗧𝗛𝗦 𝗢𝗥𝗣𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘~

“Wait,isn’t that…Daniel?” One of the women workers asked after Lionel and Hunter finished their explanation. 

“Who’s Daniel?” Zayne asked. 

“Daniel was brought here when he was just a year old,that was nineteen years ago”

“The same Daniel I know?” Zayne asked again. 

“Yes your majesty….”

“Then,how come he has a step sister?” 

“Oh,it’s not like they are related. He just care about her so much that he treated and loved her like his own sister,that’s just like him” 

“Daniel” Zayne mumbled. .

“Yes,your…..” Before they could finish,he already ran out,Hunter and Lionel had to run after him. 

“You know that restaurant right?” Zayne asked. 

“Muse Restaurant is the name your majesty” 

“Hurry up,Right now” He ordered and they took off immediately.

Daniel was just coming out of the restaurant with the waste bag in his hand,he exhaled as he dropped and distributed everything in their different places. 

He was about going back in when he saw two cars drove in which made him pause,curiously,until the car stopped and Zayne stepped down from the first one. 

Daniel’s eyes lit up and he smiled,he bowed but then surprised to see Zayne walking over to him,but then the shock was louder when he pulled him into a tight hug. 

“It’s really,you” Zayne muttered softly and continue hugging him while Daniel stayed confused. 

“Your majesty? Are you okay?” He asked. 

Zayne broke the hug and touched Daniel’s cheeks,then his hair,and eyes.

“No DNA needed” he mumbled. 

Daniel raised his brows at Hunter and Lionel when Zayne hugged him again. 

“What? You….you…wait…are you saying I’m,your brother? Like our parents are the same people?” Daniel stammered speechlessly after they explained everything to him. 

“That’s right,but we can still run a DNA test to back it up if you want,but I’m sure it’s you,no other child was taken to that orphanage nineteen years ago aside you” Zayne said. 

“Ohh” Daniel batted his lashes. 

“So what do you think?” Zayne asked. 

“I’m confused” Daniel answered. 

“That’s normal,because I am confused as well” Zayne sighed. 

“They will tell you everything you need to know” he added. 

Lionel and Hunter bowed and Daniel nodded slowly. 

“I still have few things to do at the palace for now” Zayne muttered. 

“What do you mean by few things to do at the palace?” Daniel asked. 

Zayne sighed. 

“You will find out later,but firstly,you should quit working here first” he said. 

“I will do that” Daniel mumbled. 

“Give me one of the car keys,I will drive myself from here” Zayne opened his palm. 

“Your majesty….”

“From now on,you don’t have to worry about me” Zayne muttered and took the key,then left in the car. 

“What’s going on? He’s saying some weird things. Is there a problem at the palace?” Daniel asked. 

“Why don’t you come with us your highness,we will explain everything to you” Lionel said. 

“Highness? Just call me Daniel please”  

Hunter and Lionel chuckled as they directed him toward the car. 

“But,where is he going in a hurry?” He turned to ask them. 

“We have no idea also” Lionel answered. 

Daniel sighed and entered the car.

It was already late when Zayne returned to the palace,Hunter and Lionel are currently following him to his chamber while telling him about how their day went with Daniel. 

“We told him everything your majesty,he doesn’t seem to believe at first,but later,he did” Hunter said. 

“How did you get him to believe?” Zayne stopped walking. 

“We didn’t do much,I guess he just decided to believe,I don’t think he would ever think you would come up with such heavy stories just to deceive him your majesty” Lionel said. 

Zayne nodded and continue walking. 

As they approached his chamber,he saw a figure standing there and waiting,it’s no one but Charlotte. 

Immediately,Zayne’s cold face deepened. 

“What are you doing here?” He asked. 

“We need to talk” Charlotte said instantly. 

“You must really think this is a joke” Zayne chuckled and want in but Charlotte followed him.

“Who fucking said you’re allowed to come into this place?” He faced her. 

“Can I at least say something?! You said you love me,you said we are always going to be together…..”

“Just thinking of the fact that Vynessa’s blood run through your darn veins disgusts me” He muttered And Charlotte looked at him sternly. 

“It’s so fucking irritating that I feel like puking right now that you’re in front of me,,I said we will always be together? Right I said that,before I discovered who you really are. You know,I’m actually scared as well,I’m so fucking scared you are not different from your mother and I might end up like father as well!! Do you get that!!” He yelled. 

“How dare you say that to me? How could you say I might not be different from…..”

“Yes you heard me,that’s exactly what I said” 

“You’re being unreasonable right now your majesty,,you’re hurting me!! I didn’t even do anything,I’m a victim as well!” She cried. 

“Then fucking get mad at me and let everything get scattered! I’m tired too!! I’m tired!!!” Zayne shouted. 

“But I’m not tired,I don’t care whatever you say,I’m not tired of you and I don’t want to” Charlotte shook her head. 

“Let’s see if you will say that again tomorrow” Zayne mumbled and walked out of her sight. 

“Tomorrow?” Charlotte wiped her tears and roughed her hair,then stormed out of the room.

Everyone was present,but it was silent as if no single soul was there, It’s here,the final judgment day. 

Samara and Charlotte were standing together,Queen Vynessa on another side,even Queen Lirien was brought out of cell. 

In short,every single soul living in the palace is present,together with all the royal councils,elders and executives,it’s as serious as that. 

Moments later,Zayne appeared and everyone bowed,he walked so soulessly to the throne and sat down,his face wasn’t friendly at all,not even to himself. 

“You may start” Zayne muttered and everyone exchanged glances. 

Until they saw police men coming through the back. 

“Lirien,Vynessa,Thorin and Calantha will be released to the government law for their punishment” King Zayne said and everyone gasped. 

*Calantha too?

*What’s going on exactly?

Even Calantha was surprised,but she couldn’t say a word. 

“Queen Lirien,you are under arrest for drug poisoning and attempted murder” The first cop said and immediately handcuffed her.

“Queen Vynessa,you’re under arrest for the murder of a lady called Gina,nineteen years ago and also injecting lady Niata for memory loss,and also for throwing away a toddler” She was handcuffed as well. 

“Thorin,you’re under arrest for the attempted murder of the king” 

“And Calantha,you’re under arrest for assaulting and harassing the king under the influence of the drug you gave him” 

Everyone gasped.

“You all have the right to keep quiet because whatever you say here shall be used against you in the court of law,you also have the right to a lawyer or attorney to work in your defense” the cop said and after that they were all dragged away. 

None of them even made any attempt to fight Back. 

It became silent again as everyone waited for the king to speak up. 

“I will make it short and fast as I have no time to waste” he said. 

“As from today,I pronounce the dethronement of Queen Charlotte,who is also the daughter of the woman who killed my mother and deceived my father throughout his moment on earth,which means,she is no longer a queen in this palace and shall be granted freedom to pack her things and leave. But like I said,you will still undergo the treatment and tests to see if you are okay medically after the consumption of drugs by Lirien” King Zayne said and murmurs filled the whole place up. 

Charlotte swallowed,she was trying not to cry,but it was totally fruitless,the tears aren’t even stopping,they are like ocean in her eyes. 

“And also” Zayne spoke up and everyone listened. 

He stood up from the throne. 

“I, Zayne,will be stepping down from my position as the king also” He pronounced and everyone gasped. 

Hunter and Lionel’s eyes widened. 

Charlotte’s tears dropped more. 

*Your majesty!!

*Please reconsider your judgment!!

The whole council bowed. 

“I!!! Zayne!! I am stepping down from my position as the king of this nation!!” He repeated in a louder voice.

“I’m going to talk to my husband,get out!” Queen Charlotte yelled angrily. 

Lily blinked and turned to the king,he ignored her eyes and said nothing. 

Lily picked up her right leg heel that removed as the king dropped her,then stormed out angrily. 

King Zayne sighed and slides his hands into his pocket before facing Charlotte,her glare still intact. 

“Spill it out Charlotte” He said in a cool voice. 

“Your majesty……”

King Zayne raised his brows. 

“My King,you were carrying her in your arms” Queen Charlotte said. 

“She was falling,you don’t expect me to stay here without doing nothing.” he replied. 

“That aside,I still don’t get what you two have been talking about for more than four hours,and I was inside alone. We planned to spend the day together but it’s all in the mud now” Charlotte said. 

“You need to be more patient Charlotte,you can’t just shout at anyone like that,she’s a royalty too. I just kept quiet because she has to respect you no matter what,but don’t do that next time” King Zayne said. 

“It’s not as if I can control my anger,I don’t like the way she was in your arms” Queen Charlotte said,her voice barely audible. 

“It’s fine” The king said. 

She moved forward.

“Can I hug you?” 

He stared at her and gently moved closer to her then draw her to himself in a soft hug. 

Charlotte closed her eyes and inhaled his sweet scent,he smells like citrus,so invigorating and refreshing almost enough to make her sleep off in that position. 

She just held him close to herself,not ready to let him go. 

“Charlotte” She heard the king call after about three minutes and she didn’t make any sign of movement. 

Charlotte opened her eyes and moved back. 

“I’m sorry” She muttered. 

“You had lunch yet?” The king asked. 

“No I haven’t” Queen Charlotte responded. 

“Let’s do that together then” He said and she smiled. 

They both walked out of the study room.

QUEEN LIRIEN’S SUITE* 

“Your highness” A guard bowed as he entered. 

The queen turned and faced him. 

“What about my son?” She asked. 

“I couldn’t meet him your highness…..”

“What are you talking about? What about the food?” She snapped. 

“I’m sorry your highness but all the guards there have been ordered not to let anyone in,I tried the strategy you told me to use but they didn’t fall for it either. They are loyal guards of the king yoir highness” He said. 

“He’s going to regret this” Queen Lirien muttered. 

The guard said nothing. 

“Where is Vynessa?” The queen asked. 

“The queen should be at the small garden as usual your highness” 

Immediately,Queen Lirien walked out of the suite,her guards and maids immediately followed her. 

Everyone exchanging glances and wondering where she’s off to,,even more crazier when she began to approach queen Vynessa’s suite. 

Getting to the garen,as predicted,Queen Vynessa was right there under the shield. Sitting on the back flat chair,the maids holding fans and fanning her carefully,some massaging her feet. 

“Your highness” The maids greeted and queen Vynessa opened her eyes to see an angry looking Lirien. 

“I need to talk to you” She said. 

Queen Vynessa glanced at the maids with her,they all bowed and walked away. 

The ones with queen Lirien left as well,leaving just the two queens. 

“You can have you seat” Queen Vynessa said. 

“And you think I’m here to sit down?” Queen Lirien snapped angrily. 

“Oh…you must be here to fight” Queen Charlotte said. 

“Obviously,your children took their rudeness after you” Queen Lirien said. 

Queen Vynessa smiled and said nothing. 

“You’re the king’s mother,the title that you wanted so badly after all. But I’m sure you can still call him to order,why would he starve my son for fifteen days?! He’s the first son of this royal family,no matter who the king is,he is still the right heir and you know that,your son have no right to treat him like trash!” Queen Lirien snapped. 

“I hope you can put more respect next time when speaking of the king” Queen Vynessa said. 

“What?”

“And besides,I’m sure we were there together that day,he wasn’t ready to listen to anyone,the king’s judgment is final,who am I to go against it? You should have tried your best to teach the prince about the punishment of stealing from the company, queen mother,I’m glad my children took their rudeness after me,at least they don’t steal,and if they do I won’t try to cover up for them,but they will never do it” Queen Vynessa said. 

“Are you saying I knew he took money and covered up for him?” Queen Lirien asked. 

“I didn’t say that,it was just an illustration” Queen Vynessa said. 

“You’re so rude…..”

“I will advise you to visit the king himself,coming to me won’t solve anything” Queen Vynessa said. 

Queen Lirien glared and walked away.

NATALIE & CAROLINA’S PLACE* 

“You seriously don’t mean it,that dude said he would think about what?” Caro asked with shock written all over her face. 

“About becoming my friend” Samara replied with a fake laugh. 

“That’s insane,his standard is more higher than I thought” Natalie said and laughed with Carolina. 

“That’s all you can say? What silly standard? How could he reject me like that?” Samara snapped. 

“Point of correction princess,he didn’t reject you,he said he would think about it,so you have to wait for his answer” Caro said. 

“Me? Wait for his answer? Count me out” Samara hissed. 

“But I can actually bet that you’re waiting” Natalie winked. 

“You might just go blind soon,don’t wink at me bitch” Samara snapped and they laughed. 

Samara rolled her eyes and faced her phone. 

“Okay okay enough of Daniel,let’s eat. And Samara is really sleeping over tonight right?” Natalie asked. 

“Yeah I got a nightie and my outfits for tomorrow” Samara replied. 

“We are eating what?” She asked. 

“I was going to ask you,just mention anything princess” Carolina said. 

“How do you expect me to know? I just eat whatever the maids prepare at palace,I don’t know the names” Samara replied and her friends laughed out. 

“What’s funny?” She frowned. 

“Nothing,I’m not surprised but I don’t know why I’m laughing right now” Natalie said. 

“Don’t bother about cooking,let’s just go eat at the restaurant,recommend a good one,bills on me” Samara said. 

“Of course!!!!” They screamed. 

“But before that,do you have any cereals here? I’m starving,and we definitely can’t eat dinner by this time” Samara got up and left for the kitchen. 

She got to the kitchen and brought out her phone,she checked her messages and sighed out. 

“He seriously didn’t send anything?” She muttered. 

‘Girl you don’t have his contact and he doesn’t have yours’ her subconscious mind whispered to her and she batted her lashes in confusion. 

“Am I going crazy?” She chuckled.

“Get back to normal Samara” She said to herself and dropped her phone. 

She found where the cereals and milk are,prepared for herself and left the kitchen afterward.

ERICA’S HOUSE*

Suzy was sitting down on the bed,watching Erica on her phone doing nothing than staring at Zayne’s pictures with her. 

Those are the time he was just a prince and a normal person,those good times he never rejects her calls and requests,but now things are totally different,more worse than she ever imagined. 

“Are you just going to stay here and keep acting like a widow? That bitch stole your man from you and that’s it,Zayne belongs to you. She just came from nowhere and was crowned as queen? How sure are we that the king actually choose her and not you?” Suzy asked. 

Erica turned and looked at her. 

“But,the king himself met with her before he died,I mean she was already living at the palace before he died so if the king didn’t choose her,wouldn’t that be a problem?” She asked. 

“Well who knows?” Suzy rolled her eyes. 

Erica sighed out. 

“I’m just tired,I don’t know what to do anymore. And I hate the fact that Zayne is making things worse,like he doesn’t even care anymore,how true is that?” She asked. 

“Who knows? Maybe he’s just pretending because of the bitch he calls his queen. How about you try going close when he’s not with his queen? Let’s see if he would be able to resist you” Suzy said. 

Erica bit her lip and thought for a while. 

“Remember Samara doesn’t like her?” Suzy asked. 

“That’s right…but only Samara won’t help things,I need to think about something else” Erica muttered. 

“Come here” Suzy said and Erica went to join her on the bed. 

Suzy whispered something into her ear and then they exchanged glances. 

“We need to get more people on your side remember?” Suzy asked and Erica nodded with a smile.

8PM, GOLDEN PALACE* 

Queen Charlotte was on her way to the king’s chamber,after they ate lunch together,she had to leave to do some school work,her assignments is due tomorrow and must be submitted,she almost forgot tho. 

“Your highness,I don’t think his majesty is back yet” Lydia said and Charlotte paused a little. 

“Back from where?” She asked. 

“His majesty left the palace about thirty minutes ago my lady” Amaya said. 

“Thirty minutes ago?” Queen Charlotte blinked with a surprise look on her face. 

“What’s the time now?” She asked. 

“Its eight now” They answered. 

Charlotte said nothing,but then she caught a glimpse of Lionel walking along with some other guards. 

They got closer and greeted her. 

“I heard the king is not in the palace” Queen Charlotte faced Lionel. 

“Yes your highness,he went out” Lionel replied. 

“To where?” Charlotte asked curiously. 

“I’m sorry your highness,but his majesty didn’t give me any order to disclose where he went to” Lionel replied. 

Queen Charlotte nodded. 

“I understand,thank you” She muttered. 

Lionel and other guards bowed and walked away. 

Just as Charlotte was about leaving as well,two maids came to her. 

“Your highness,the old queen want you to join her in the dinning room” They said. 

“Oh…mother?” Charlotte smiled. 

“Yes your highness” 

Queen Charlotte followed and they walked quietly to the direction of the dinning hall. 

Getting there,the rest of the maids stopped at the back and Charlotte walked to the table,but soon the smile on her face vanished when she saw Erica there already eating with the queen. 

Erica looked up and their eyes met. 

“Mother” Charlotte called. 

“Oh,Charlotte,have a seat” Queen Vynessa smiled. 

Charlotte sat down somewhere else since Erica was sitting close to the queen. 

“I heard his majesty went out so I was thinking you might be bored eating alone” Queen Vynessa said. 

“Thank you mother” Queen Charlotte smiled. 

The maids dished out her own meal as well. 

“I’m so happy to see you today Erica” Queen Vynessa said. 

“Thank you mother,I felt bad the last time I came here and couldn’t see you. I will be coming over frequently now mother if you want” Erica said. 

“Why not,you used to come here before the coronation,I was thinking you just want to keep your distance,you are free to come here anytime” Queen Vynessa said and Erica smiled. 

Charlotte scoffed inwardly as she stared at Erica.

A CLUBHOUSE,VIP PRIVATE LOUNGE*  

The Royal Rebels were all there together chilling,it’s like the first time they are just together by themselves without other crowds ever since Zayne became the king. 

Rocky and Grey were throwing some arrows into the dartboard,Chase and Zayne sitting together,each holding their smokes in their hands. 

Starr excused himself and went to the restroom just like one minute ago. 

“Dude I thought you were joking when you said you want to hang out with us” Rocky said after stopping what he was doing.  

“I was missing you guys too much than I can take,it’s fucking boring in the palace,I’m just trying my best to remain composed but I’m losing it already” Zayne said and puffed out the smoke into the air. 

“You don’t even know how much we miss you too,especially Starr,he always talk about you” Grey said. 

“I know,but there’s nothing I can do. I’m always busy doing what I never saw myself doing in ten years,like,I’m just doomed” Zayne muttered and they all laughed. 

“But at least you’re doing well,and you have a beautiful queen” Chase winked. 

“Indeed” Zayne scoffed. 

“So tell us,you finally had sex with her?” Rocky grinned and Zayne cleared his throat. 

“You’re not allowed to know about the king’s love affair” He said in a deep voice. 

“Guy I thought you said for now we shouldn’t see you as the king but as our best friend” Rocky said. 

“That’s too extreme” Zayne snapped. 

“I can’t talk about my queen like that” He added. 

“Whoaaaa!!!!!” The boys chorused and clapped.

Starr returned and met them clapping. 

“What happened?” He asked. 

“Someone’s respecting his queen” Chase laughed. 

“I’m happy if that’s true” Starr said. 

“Oh come on,it’s just something I think it’s normal. I’ve never seen father talking about the two queens,even if they fight” Zayne muttered and the guys smiled. 

“Do you see yourself getting another queen aside Charlotte?” Grey asked. 

Zayne kept quiet. 

“That silence means alot” Starr laughed. 

“No…I’m just thinking of the reason why father had my mom even after the first queen. She was his first love but she wasn’t from a royal family,,it was father who broke the necessity of a prince must to get married to a princess” Zayne explained.

“So,if that rule was still there,,Erica might be the best option for you” Rocky said. 

“Yeah,I actually thought father would choose Erica no matter what tho” Zayne muttered. 

There was silence. 

“Charlotte is prettier” Starr suddenly spoke up. 

“That’s right” Rocky agreed. 

“I don’t think so tho” Chase chuckled. 

“I don’t think so either,Erica is hot dude,but she’s full of herself,that’s the red flag” Grey said. 

“Maybe” Rocky laughed. 

“Let’s stop talking about that and just do what we came here for” Starr said. 

“I wish I don’t have to go to the palace tonight” Zayne groaned. 

“Do you need a girl?” Rocky winked. 

“Stop it” Starr glared at him. 

“I wish I can do that” Zayne pouted. 

“I won’t let you do that,,cheating is bad” Starr said. 

All the boys laughed. 

“Gosh,Starr is one funny type” Zayne said. 

“Funny? Are you going to cheat? Don’t listen to them” Starr said. 

“Of course I won’t” Zayne chuckled. 

“He’s the king,he doesn’t have to cheat. He can just have a mistress” Grey said. 

“Guys,stop it. I really don’t want to,,it’s not as if I have time for fucking these days” Zayne scoffed. 

“What?!!!!!!!!!” They gasped. 

“You mean it? Almighty Zayne don’t have time to f+ck?!” 

They laughed out. 

“I didn’t come here to listen to you guys making jest of me” Zayne muttered and poured some wine for himself.

MUSE RESTAURANT*  

Carolina,Samara and Natalie were all taken to an empty table space where they sat down,waiting for a waiter or waitress to come take their orders. 

Natalie and Caro started taking some pictures and videos While Samara just sat there focus on her phone. 

About two minutes later,a waiter walked up to them and the girls looked up,all surprised to see Daniel. 

“Boy! You work here too?” Caro and Natalie exclaimed. 

“Yeah” Daniel replied bluntly and shared the menu for them. 

“Please go through it and tell me what you want” He said,making sure to avoid Samara’s eyes even though she was looking at him. 

Carol and Natalie immediately told him what they want and he faced Samara. 

“What about you?” Daniel asked. 

“Give me what is delicious and okay” She muttered. 

“You won’t reject anything I bring for you,coz I don’t want to listen to the manager’s rant” Daniel said. 

Caro and Natalie blinked and looked at Samara,normally she would have flair up and insulted the person. 

“I wouldn’t mind,just bring anything” Samara said calmly and Daniel walked away. 

“Someone tap me please,is this Samara?” Caro asked. 

“No I don’t think so,where’s my Samara?” 

They started crying dramatically. 

“You both are embarrassing me” Samara whispered. 

“Sorry princess” They muttered. 

Daniel and another waitress returned with their meals. 

“Here” Daniel dropped Samara’s own and she looked at him. 

“Thanks” She said. 

Daniel nodded. 

“You need to help me on that table too,I’m totally tired” The waitress with Daniel pouted and held his arm against her own. 

Samara frowned. 

“You can rest,I will do it” Daniel told her. 

“No,let’s do it together” She smiled. 

Samara suddenly coughed. 

“I need water” She said. 

“Get her water,I will attend to that table” Daniel told her. 

“No,I want you to get me water” Samara snapped. 

The waitress raised her brows and then looked at Daniel whose eyes were already on Samara. 

“Can’t you do that?” Samara asked him. 

“Princess,not here. I have things to do” Daniel said in a low voice. 

“I want water,I’m a customer too” Samara glared. 

Daniel sighed and faced the girl. 

“Go on,I will meet you” He said. 

“Don’t take too long” She said before walking away. 

Samara rolled her eyes. 

“Princess……”

“My name is Samara,quit calling me princess” Samara snapped at Daniel. 

“That’s new,you always want the respect” Daniel scoffed. 

“How many bottle of water do you need?” He asked. 

“One is enough,but before that can you show me to the restroom?” Samara asked. 

Caro and Natalie exchanged glances. 

“A girl will do that….” Daniel tried saying. 

“I want you” Samara cut in. 

“Follow me” Daniel mumbled and Samara stood up. 

She followed Daniel and soon they approached the ladies restroom. 

“That way” Daniel pointed. 

Samara grabbed his hand and he looked at her. 

“You said you would think about my offer” She said.

“Not now,I’m working. Do you want me to lose my job?” Daniel asked. 

“I don’t care” Samara snapped. 

“Fine,let’s be friends. Can I go now?” 

“Why are you in such a hurry? Are you dating that girl? The waitress” 

“No I’m not,can I leave now?”

Samara said nothing. 

“Go into the restroom ,what are you waiting for,I have things to do” Daniel said frustratingly. 

“I’m not using the restroom” Samara told him. 

Daniel sighed. 

“Let’s go back then” 

Samara hugged him and Daniel was shocked. 

“Hey,are you sick or something?” He asked. 

‘Shut up,I’m not sick” Samara snapped. 

Daniel broke the hug.

“I have to leave” He said and without waiting,he walked away. 

Samara groaned and roughed her hair. 

“What am I even doing?” She asked herself.

10PM, GOLDEN PALACE*

Charlotte was inside the king’s chamber when he arrived. 

He was surprised to see her waiting up for him inside the bedroom. 

“My King” Charlotte got down from the bed. 

“You’re here” King Zayne said,getting rid of his shirt first. 

“I was worried,I didn’t call because I thought you might be too busy to answer my calls. Where were you?” Queen Charlotte questioned and he looked at her. 

“You don’t have to wait for me next time….”

“Next time? Should there be a next time? My king,you can’t keep on making me worried….”

“You don’t have to worry about me,I’m not a baby,I need some time out of this palace sometimes,don’t you think?” The king snapped. 

“You are saying you need some time away from me?” Charlotte asked and the king looked at her. 

“I’m in the palace too,that’s what you’re trying to say” She said. 

King Zayne said nothing and took off his shirt completely. 

“I’m sleeping alone tonight,goodnight Charlotte” He muttered and left the bedroom. 

Charlotte took her lip in. 

The only thing in her mind right now is Erica,that bi+ch definitely has a plan,because why is she suddenly acting so nicely? And asking if she’s allowed to come to the palace anytime she wants?

She sighed and didn’t even know she waited so long until the king entered again,he had his bath and now in the sleep clothes. 

“Still here?” He asked. 

“Erica was here” Charlotte said. 

“Erica? Why?” 

“She had dinner with mother” She replied. 

“Then?” King Zayne raised his brows. 

“She’s acting weird” Charlotte muttered. 

“It’s not their first time,just let them be” Zayne said. 

‘Let them be?’ Charlotte repeated in her head.  

King Zayne glanced at her again. 

“Goodnight…my king” She said sadly before leaving.

NEXT DAY, ROYALS UNIVERSITY* 

Charlotte left the lecture hall after her last class for the day,she was feeling so pressed that she couldn’t hold it till they get to the palace so she just had to leave. 

“Emily,mind going with me to the restroom? You’re not in a hurry right?” She asked. 

“No I am..I’m sorry Charlotte but my mom has been waiting for me” Emily showed her phone to Charlotte. 

“Oh…go on. I will see you again next time” Charlotte said. 

“Not tomorrow?” Emily pouted. 

“Sorry” Charlotte also pouted. 

“Okay bye,love you” Emily waved and ran off. 

Charlotte also went to the restroom. 

After doing her business in the restroom,she washed her hand and tried to open the door but she couldn’t. 

Charlotte used both hands but still the same,it was as If the door was closed from outside. 

“Hello! Anyone there!?” She began knocking on the door but nothing happened. 

She would knock and try to open again,still nothing. 

Suddenly she started hearing footsteps which made her stop,thinking someone finally heard her screams. 

She was still there when the door opened slightly,but before she could think of moving,a gas smoke was thrown inside and the door got locked again. 

Immediately she started couching as the whole place got covered up with the gas. 

“Help!!!..somebody!!…” She screamed but couldn’t scream loud coz the smokes only entered her mouth more. 

She kept on knocking loudly until she became weak and fell weakly on the floor. 

Her nose began to bleed,then her ears before she finally lost her consciousness. 

“The kiss you wanted…..do it now” King Zayne uttered. 

Charlotte didn’t waste a second,her lips captured his own instantly,eyes went shut and lips moving in sync. 

King Zayne wrapped his hand around her waist and pulled her even closer,taking over the kiss in no time,he kissed her so deeply,their tongues connected and his hands just continue moving all over her body. 

Charlotte moaned sweetly,craving for more of his sweet taste,she got hold of his robe tightly as if she wasn’t going to let him go. 

When the king finally stopped the kiss and tried breaking it,she ignored it and just continue kissing him to her own satisfaction before pulling back and opening her eyes,she found him staring at her. 

“Don’t judge me….it’s our first time” She mumbled poutly and moved back a little. 

“I didn’t say anything” King Zayne said. 

“Your expression says it all,I wonder why you decided to give me my response today,after so many days,unfair” Charlotte mumbled. 

He said nothing. 

“Goodnight” Charlotte said and lay back on her back. 

“Come closer if you want” Zayne said. 

She shifted close and placed her head on his chest. 

“I didn’t say you should put your head on my chest tho” King Zayne said. 

“I’m comfortable this way” Queen Charlotte said and didn’t move back,she just closed her eyes like that. 

King Zayne stared at her for some seconds,he removed her hair from his face and sighed,he closed his eyes and felt Charlotte moved even close to his body,almost making him breathless. 

He opened his eyes again,she was hugging him in her sleep. He wanted to talk but just decided to keep quiet and allow her do her thing,after some minutes he also fell asleep.

Outside,Hunter was standing behind a pillar,just some distance away from princess Calantha’s suite. 

His eyes moving from one guard to another waiting for them to move away from the entrance but it’s like something like that is not going to happen. 

“Dude” Someone suddenly tapped him from the back and he turned immediately with his hand on the gun trigger. 

“The f+ck,calm down” The person laughed. 

Hunter blinked in shock. 

“Lionel?” He called. 

“Yes bro it’s me” Lionel smiled and immediately Hunter hugged him. 

“Didn’t expect to see you again tonight,I was waiting for tomorrow” Lionel said before they broke the hug. 

“When the hell did you arrived? Have you met the king?” Hunter asked. 

“I just arrived dude,and the king sound just too cool to hear” Lionel chuckled. 

“Yeah,the last time you left,he was just the prince” Hunter muttered. 

“I’ve missed you dude,and the king too. Can’t wait to see him tomorrow” Lionel said. 

“I’m sure he will be happy too” Hunter said. 

Aside Hunter,Lionel is the second personal guard of Zayne,the late king himself choose them to be with him ever since he was young,they are older than him anyway,so it’s easy to say they raised and watched him grow. 

“But,what are you doing here?” Lionel asked. 

Hunter sighed and explained things to Lionel. 

“Then,,let’s do that. How many minutes do you want me to buy for you?” Lionel asked. 

“Ten minutes,seven minutes to get what I want and the remaining three minutes to be out of sight,meet me in my room after that” Hunter said. 

“Cool” Lionel winked and walked away,Hunter watched him as he walked to the guards standing in front of the suite,he said something Hunter didn’t hear and soon,he left with all the guards. 

“Smart @ss” Hunter chuckled,he looked left and right,clear,before running into the princess’s suite. 

Princess Calantha sleep time is around 9pm to 9:30pm and now it’s past ten so definitely she’s asleep. 

Hunter jumped through the balcony and went in,taking the back door. He made his steps silent but fast. He passed through the bedroom and for real Calantha was sleeping. 

Like the king mentioned,since Calantha gave him the fake records,then the original one must be somewhere,unless if she disposed it. 

Hunter started searching,first was the wardrobe,but nothing,he opened the book shelf beside the bed,empty. 

He took his lip in and turned around to check if there’s anywhere else then left the bedroom,he walked into the living room,obviously no one would keep something that important in the living room,he was already about giving up when he saw another door,without thinking he opened it and went in. 

It’s a small library,Hunter started searching the whole place impatiently but making sure he arranged it back neatly the way he met it. 

And finally,looking into a small shelf,he found the documents. He took it and hurried out of the suite just the way he entered. 

He was just in time because as soon as he was out of sight,Lionel returned with the guards,then walked straight to Hunter’s room as planned.

NEXT MORNING, CALANTHA’S SUITE” 

The small library was upside down already,Calantha was going here and there trying to find the record document,actually she had planned to dispose it today in the office and now she can’t find it. 

The door opened and queen Lirien cane in,looking pissed. 

“What do you mean by you can’t find the document? Where did you keep it?” She asked. 

“I swear I kept it in this shelf mother,I’m so sure,I don’t know how…..”

“Are you saying someone entered your room and took it?” Queen Lirien snapped and Calantha looked at her. 

“Can anyone really come in here without my permission? Besides,it was here last night before I slept,I checked it,for real” She said. 

Queen Lirien said nothing and sighed. 

“You know what will happen if that record get into the wrong hands right? Then your brother is in trouble” She said. 

“I need to talk to Zayne” Calantha muttered. 

“Are you insane? Talk to him about what exactly? You think talking to him will solve anything? Find the records,that’s the solution” Queen Lirien snapped. 

“Oh gosh…no” Calantha roughed her hair in frustration.

“Good morning,your majesty!!” All the guards they meet on the way were greeting so loudly but King Zayne replied no one. 

He was walking so fast and a little bit impatient, Henry reported to him just now that he found the record,he didn’t mention where he found it yet and Zayne was curious. 

The guards were even trying hard to match his page and energy,till they got to his office. 

Hunter and Lionel were standing at the entrance and they both bowed. 

King Zayne stared at Lionel. 

“It’s so good to see you again,your majesty” Lionel said with a smile. 

“Welcome back” King Zayne said shortly and went in,the two followed him and met him already sitting down. 

“Here is it,your majesty” Hunter placed it right in front of him. 

King Zayne began opening right away and when he saw the main transaction record,he paused. The name Thorin was written boldly on it. 

He chuckled and bit his lips. 

“Where did you get this?” He asked. 

“Princess Calantha’s suite” Hunter replied. 

The king smiled again and nodded before closing back the records. 

“What should we do now your majesty?” Lionel asked. 

“When am I supposed to have a gathering with the councils?” King Zayne asked. 

“In five hours time your majesty” They both replied. 

“Send them a message and inform them I want all of them to gather in the courtroom in one hour time,nobody is allowed to miss it,not even for a reason” The king declared. 

“Yes your majesty,I will do that now” Hunter bowed and walked out of the office. 

“Make sure nobody leave the palace,starting from now. Including Charlotte” King Zayne said to Lionel. 

“I will inform all the guards right away” Lionel bowed and also went out. 

Zayne exhaled and rest his back on the seat well.

FEW MINUTES TO THE ROYAL MEETING, QUEEN CHARLOTTE’S SUITE* 

Charlotte was in jersey room,lost in thought. She already got dressed for school earlier when suddenly Lionel came to report to her that the king ordered everyone to stay in the palace until he brings back his word. 

She was worried,wondering what was going on,curiosity was already eating her up. 

Suddenly she heard the door open and she turned to see Lydia and Amaya walk in. 

“Your highness” They both bowed. 

“What’s going on?” Queen Charlotte asked. 

“We are here to escort you to the court room” They both said and Charlotte raised her brows. 

“Court room?” She asked again. 

“Yes your highness ” 

Charlotte was confused,it’s going to be her first time going into the court room. 

“Give me some minutes” She said and went into the dressing room,she returned,wearing another dress. 

“Let’s go” She muttered and removed her hair tie. 

They got outside and the bodyguard started following them as well. 

The walk to the royal court took some minutes,since the palace is a very big one. 

Finally they arrived at the court. 

“The queen is here!!” The royal announcer announced and all the guards outside bowed low. 

The large door was opened for her and she stepped inside alone,without any maids or guards. 

She could see all the royal councils and chiefs standing on their feet,she was surprised to see Queen Vynessa there also,sitting,Queen Lirien also present,then the two princesses and the twins princes as well. 

‘What is the king up to?’ Charlotte thought within herself. 

“Good morning your highness” The whole council bowed for her as she walked to take her own seat,just next to the king’s own. 

Her eyes fell on Calantha who seems lost and she wonder what is wrong with her. 

They waited another ten minutes before they heard the announcer. 

“His majesty is here!” 

Instantly,the royal family got up as well,the door opened and King Zayne entered,Lionel and Hunter by his sides. 

Everyone bowed together at once but he didn’t acknowledge anyone,his face was as cold as ice,he got the blank expression on his face till he got to his seat and sat dowm. 

Hunter and Lionel stayed behind the king and queen. 

“Your majesty,is there a problem? You look angry” One of the officials said and they bowed. 

“Raise your heads” King Zayne stated and they obeyed at once. 

His eyes moved around the whole room,from one person to another. 

“Recently,someone stole three billion from my company” The king said and everyone gasped. 

The council began murmuring among themselves. 

“The money was stolen and the evidence and traces were deleted….or maybe I’m confused,what else are we supposed to call that?” King Zayne asked. 

“A thief your majesty!” The council chorused. 

Calantha shifted uncomfortably. 

“The past two days,I’ve been working day and night to figure out how the money disappeared but most especially to find out who did it and what the money was spent on” The king said and everywhere became silent. 

“And finally,I found it” He added. 

👥 Who’s the person your majesty. 

“Before that…I wouldn’t want to state out the judgment and punishment myself. So the reason why I called everyone is because,I want to know the punishment someone like that deserves,my father must have went through something like this before,and I would like to follow the same step he took”  King Zayne said. 

Queen Lirien’s eyes already turned red,Calantha bit her lip,Thorin remain calm but inwardly he wasn’t close to calm. 

“My officials,it’s up to you,,say the word” The king said. 

“In the royal book of law,any person who is found guilty of theft will be punished excessively. He/She will be locked up in the prison for days which will be determined by his majesty,some beatings and with no food and water,until his majesty pleases” The oldest chief spoke up. 

“That’s true..your majesty!!” The rest of them chorused. 

King Zayne smiled and gave a sign to Lionel and Hunter. 

Immediately they started distributing the records to everyone,the king ordered them to make a lot of copies and that’s why they have alot. 

Lionel gave queen Charlotte her own too and her eyes widened when she saw it. 

“Everyone must collect a copy,everyone” King Zayne ordered. 

Lionel and Hunter gave it to everyone. 

Thorin couldn’t even look at it. 

“Your majesty,it’s the prince’s name” Someone mentioned. 

“No,it’s the thief’s name,and you’re right it’s the prince” The king said. 

“My son is not a thief!” Queen Lirien shouted. 

“Oh…I guess the queen have an explanation for us” King Zayne said and everyone turned to her but she said nothing. 

“I’m going to give eveyone who’s involved in this five minutes to explain to me where that money went to,if you can’t provide a reasonable explanation,then you are to face your punishment” The king said. 

The whole place was silent. 

“Princess Calantha,you have no explanation as well? They found it in your room” King Zayne said coldly. 

“Your majesty,I’m sorry I……”

“If you don’t have any explanation to what I asked for,keep quiet” The king cut her off. 

After five minutes and nobody spoke up,

“And here’s my judgment” King Zayne spoke up. 

All quiet and curious to hear him. 

“Firstly,Prince Thorin who is my brother’s position in the company will be taken from him,I will give Prince Theny a chance to continue working while waiting for when he will fuck up as well” King Zayne declared. 

“You can’t do that!” Queen Lirien screamed and got up. 

“If anyone speak again,I will order the guards to throw you out,even if the person is my mother” The king said and Charlotte blinked. 

The whole place was quiet. 

“As for the princess,you’re also suspended from anything concerning the company until further notice,whenever I decide to forgive you. Finally,I want Thorin to be thrown into the prison,for theft and first stressing me,and also for putting the company into debt trouble. He will be there for five days without food and water” King Zayne said and stood up. 

“Just because you’re the king doesn’t mean you can treat anyone the way you want!!” Queen Lirien yelled and the king faced her. 

“How dare you!” Queen Lirien yelled again.

“Five more days to Thorin’s punishment,and with enough beatings” King Zayne declared,his eyes on queen Lirien. 

“You devil!” She yelled. 

“Another five days” The king said. 

“If you utter one more statement,you will join him” He added. 

Queen Vynessa got up and tried to talk

“Don’t do it,mother” King Zayne said even before she could start. 

“Guards! Take him away!” 

Immediately they rushed in and carried Thorin out of the court room. 

“Anyone want to say anything? Is there anybody who want to go against what I just did?!” The king asked. 

All the councils bowed. 

“No one would dare,your majesty!” They chorused. 

King Zayne looked at queen Lirien,her eyes also glaring at him. 

“You might have something to say” He uttered. 

She swallowed and said no word. 

Like that,the king stormed out of the courtroom,Hunter and Lionel immediately followed. 

Charlotte also got up from her seat and walked out in a hurry. 

She didn’t meet up with the king so see went straight to his chamber but was stopped. 

“I’m sorry but his majesty said he want to be alone” Hunter told her. 

Charlotte sighed and nodded,she turned back and walked away.

NIGHT TIME*

The palace was shrouded in an unsettling silence. The king’s judgment earlier that morning had left everyone on edge. His anger was felt and no one dared to disturb him.

Since morning, the king had locked himself in his chamber, refusing to see anyone. Guests who had arrived at the palace were turned away, told that the king was in no mood to receive visitors. Even food, carefully prepared by the palace maids, was rejected.

The king’s fasting worried everyone. No one had seen him this angry before. The palace staff tiptoed around, fearful of provoking his wrath further.

Calantha, desperate to apologize, had tried to enter the king’s chamber earlier. But the guards, barred her way as ordered by the king. 

Queen Lirien was still furious anyway,she haven’t stopped ranting but she couldn’t do anything for Thorin who was already in the prison for hours. 

Queen Charlotte, however, was more concerned than everyone else,she was so worried that he might get weak if he doesn’t eat anything,it’s been hours. 

She had to prepare food by herself again, simple yet nourishing meal. Perhaps, she thought, a gentle touch and a warm meal could soothe his temper.

As she approached the king’s chamber,without her maids, the guards blocked her again. 

“We are sorry your majesty but……”

“Stay back” Queen Charlotte glared and they all stopped. 

“Open the door” She ordered. 

The entrance door was opened for her and she went inside,the door closed behind her again. 

She walked straight into the dining room to drop the food. 

She turned to go back only to find the king standing right there,staring coldly into her soul. 

“I’m sure I made myself clear enough that I don’t want anyone….”

“I’m not anyone” Queen Charlotte cut in. 

King Zayne said nothing to turned to walk out of her sight,she immediately ran after him and blocked his way. 

“I know how you’re feeling right now….”

“Leave” He cut her off. 

“Your majesty…….”

“Charlotte leave!” King Zayne yelled and she swallowed. 

“I don’t want to” She muttered and Zayne frowned. 

“You’ve been here since morning,it’s time you stop your anger,please” She said. 

“How am I supposed to stop?! Do I have control over it? Do you understand what I’m feeling or you’re just here to talk?” The king snapped. 

“But isn’t this why I’m here?!!” Charlotte screamed out. 

“If I can’t make you calm down just the way you’re pushing everyone away then what makes me your queen?! How am I different from everyone else? How!!” She cried out. 

“Can’t you see? Can’t you see how much I care about you? Can’t you see how worried you always make me? Can’t you see how much I like you?! Can’t you?!!” She shouted in tears. 

King Zayne looked away. 

“Don’t like me….we had an agreement….”

“I don’t care about that crazy agreement we once had,okay? I’m your queen and there’s nothing you can do about it” Queen Charlotte snapped. 

“Leave” The king muttered. 

“Don’t force me,I will not go….”

“Then what are you doing here? Should I use you to stop my anger? What exactly…….”

“I don’t care! Use me if you want,that’s why I’m here anyway,use me anyhow you want”  Charlotte muttered. 

“You might regret what you just said Charlotte” King Zayne said and Charlotte looked at him. 

“I won’t” She muttered. 

“That was your last chance to leave” He said. 

“I’m not leaving…..” Before she could finish,he pulled her against the wall and locked her hands above her head,a gasp escaped Charlotte’s lips. 

She looked up and her eyes locked with Zayne’s own. 

“I’m giving you one last chance to leave or…….”

“I don’t…want to” She mumbled. 

King Zayne stared at her,surprised. 

He released her. 

“Just do it whatever you want to do and stop making me go crazy for nothing!” Queen Charlotte shouted. 

He looked at her again and slammed his lips against her own,in a crazy aggressive and hard kiss. 

It was different totally from the one they had last night,he was so possessive and dominant,Charlotte couldn’t even follow his pace as he ate her up. 

He grabbed her waist and locked her more against the wall. 

She felt his hand grabbed his b👀bs and she moaned into his mouth. 

But when she thought that was all,he got hold of her nightie and ripped it off. 

A loud gasp escaped her mouth. 

“Your chance ended,you can’t go anywhere now even if you want to” He whispered into her ear and Charlotte froze. 

He grabbed one of her b👀bs and squeezed it. 

“My King….” Queen Charlotte moaned. 

“Kiss me” She mumbled. 

King Zayne raised his brows. 

“On….my lips” She added,softly. 

Zayne stared at her for some seconds before chuckling and moving back. 

“Is that all you can think about right now that I am hurt?” He asked and the smile disappeared from his lips.

“I’m sorry” Charlotte muttered. 

King Zayne pulled his shirt down and turned toward the door. 

“Let me help with the treatment!” Charlotte ran after him. 

“No need,I can do it alone….”

“I’m your queen! Let me do it at least,please” Charlotte said and he faced her again. 

“Is this supposed to come last or first?” He asked. 

“I’m sorry,I got carried away…that’s why” Queen Charlotte replied. 

In the end,he accepted and they both left for his chamber.

“His majesty and the queen are on their way to his Majesty’s chamber your highness” Queen Vynessa’s maids came to report to her where she was. 

“How chamber? Right now?” Queen Vanessa asked. 

“Yes your highness” 

“Is things getting better finally?” Queen Vynessa muttered and let out a sigh of relief. 

“What’s the good news? You look happy” Samara entered. 

The maids immediately bowed and walked away. 

“The king is finally getting soft to his queen” Queen Vynessa said. 

“That’s faster than I imagined” Samara scoffed. 

“That’s mean” Queen Vynessa said,that was when she noticed her outfit. 

“Are you going out or you’re just coming?” She asked.

“There’s a party,I won’t take long,just two hours and I am back” Samara said. 

Queen Vynessa checked the time and it’s exactly eight. 

“I will be expecting you by ten,once it passes,then you can face the king by yourself” She said. 

“You can’t tell brother I went to a party please!” Samara immediately said. 

“It depends,if you keep to time then no problem at all” Queen Vynessa said. 

“Love you” Samara smiled and walked away.

Hunter entered the library after the rest of the guards followed King Zayne and queen Charlotte. 

Earlier,he heard the queen scream and he was about to enter when he heard the king telling her to keep it down. 

But as the smart one,he was so curious to figure out what might be wrong. 

He put on the light and started looking around until suddenly she saw blood on the floor,his eyes widened and bent down,he touched the blood with his finger. 

“His majesty got hurt?” He asked no one in particular. 

He cleaned up the blood and left the library at once,trying to guess how he got hurt to the extent of dripping blood and he still doesn’t want to let anyone find out. 

He was walking toward another building in the palace when suddenly he saw Thorin coming,he immediately hid behind a pillar and watched him enter into the car and drove out. 

Hunter looked around and when he saw nobody coming,he entered into Thorin’s quarters. 

As much as he wanted to ignore,Thorin was the only one who entered the king’s chamber today. 

He found his way into Thorin’s room without getting caught,it didn’t take him two minutes before he found the bloody knife in the bathroom sink and he haven’t washed the blood off yet. 

“Bastard” Hunter mumbled angrily and clenched his fist. 

He got something to pick the knife and then left the room.

THE KING’S CHAMBER* 

Charlotte just finished treating the wound and now applying some oil for fast healing. 

She was expecting him to wince at least but no words came out of his mouth ever since she started,she finished applying the oil and then used the plaster. 

“All done” She muttered. 

“Thanks” King Zayne replied. 

Queen Charlotte touched the plaster again without raising her head,her eyes moved to the other part of his chest,he was shirtless actually. 

“I’m sure you’re done” King Zayne muttered when she started touching his chest. 

“Oh….I’m sorry” She shifted back. 

He got up and left her in the living room for the bedroom,Charlotte bit her lips. 

“Your majesty, a maid Is here” She heard a guard from outside. 

‘Should I answer?’ She thought and sighed. 

“Come in” she spoke up. 

The door opened and soon the maid came into the living room,she bowed and dropped a tray on the table.

“It’s desert for his majesty,I’m going to taste….”

“No its fine,I will do it” Queen Charlotte said. 

The maid bowed and went out. 

“How many times do I have to tell you to stop saying you will taste my food?” King Zayne came out. 

Charlotte looked up,he was now wearing his robe. 

“My life is important and yours is not?” He asked further. 

“I just…..”

“I already told you…don’t do too much” King Zayne said. 

“Then tell me what to do exactly,I don’t even think I’m doing too much,I just don’t want us to act like strangers anymore your majesty” Queen Charlotte said. 

King Zayne kept quiet and sat down. 

He picked up the fork and cut a little piece from the vanilla/chocolate cake,his favorite. 

He ate it and Charlotte watched him. 

“Are you eating or you just want to watch me?” He looked at her. 

She smiled and wanted to eat but there’s just one fork. 

“Here,you can have it” King Zayne dropped the fork for her. 

“Thanks” She said took it. 

“You can leave when you’re done,I will be in my room” The king said and left the living room.

Queen Charlotte rolled her eyes and dropped the fork,she lost her appetite right away. 

“Is he still avoiding me?” She sighed. 

After a while of waiting and he didn’t show up again,she left the chamber.

RED AND BLUE CLUBHOUSE* 

The whole club was loud and filled with people,the light are mixtures of red and blue,the dance floor was hot and full,ass shaking,twerkings and rocking. 

Some guys are just sitting by their tables while girls pleasure them,the air smells like weed and hard drugs. 

Among the people sitting and minding their business are Samara and her friends,Natalie and Carolina are drinking and also dancing. 

When they couldn’t hold their dance any longer,they joined the people on the dance floor. 

Meanwhile there’s Samara who just sat down there,with her dark shade and big heavy frown on her face,even though she’s the hottest babe in the club at the moment,none of the boys dare make an advance toward her,not even her bodyguards are only few steps away,all looking hefty and mean in their all blacks. 

Samara wasn’t helping matter either,her hard face is enough to drive anyone away from getting close. She was only nodding her head slowly to the music and sipping from her champagne. 

She raised her hand for more when she noticed she was running out,soon a bartender came over,and the bartender turns out to be nobody else but Daniel. 

He dropped the champagne on the table and their eyes met. 

Samara chuckled dryly and removed her shade. 

“Who wears shade in an almost dark clubhouse?” Daniel asked. 

“Not your business” Samara glared at him. 

“Here’s your champagne good luck” Daniel said. 

“So you work here” Samara said. 

“Obviously,reason why I can’t become your slaveboy,I may be poor but I have some dignity” Daniel said. 

Samara chuckled. 

“How much do they pay you weekly!” She asked. 

“Monthly” Daniel corrected. 

“Oh…how much?” Samara asked. 

“Ten thousand” Daniel replied. 

“I will pay you fifty” Samara said and Daniel’s eyes widened. 

“For what?” He asked. 

“Since you hate the word slaveboy,let’s say errand boy,what do you think?” She asked. 

“Oh wow,so nice of you” Daniel grinned. 

“See? So when will you start?” She asked. 

“I’m sorry but I will rather be paid two thousand yearly than to become your errand boy” Daniel said. 

“What?” Samara’s eyes widened. 

“I can see you’re not used to being turned down,but has anyone ever told you how rude and spoilt you are? Because I need money doesn’t mean I will stoop so low to help you carry your bags and follow whatever you say,I’m poor not wretched and homeless. I don’t work here alone okay? If anyone’s going to help me out,definitely I wouldn’t want it to come from you,you might just wake up one day and tell me you wash your underwears or even lick your ass,I’m sorry but I am not the type,look for someone else,with this few points of mine,I hope I was able to clear your mind off whatever you’re thinking,have a nice night,your highness” He bowed and walked away,leaving Samara speechless. 

She swallowed and bite her nail. 

She carried her bag and stormed out of the club,the guards ran after her. 

Daniel saw that and his eyes followed her,but then looked away. 

“Are uou close with her?” Another bartender asked and Daniel looked at him.

“I mean,she’s fucking sexy with a nice ass……” He stopped when he noticed the way Daniel was glaring at him. 

“Sorry man” The bartender said. 

Daniel rolled his eyes and left his side.

A CONVENIENCES STORE* 

Rocky was pushing the cart while Starr picked what they are buying,he was picking a lot and Rock just followed him. 

“Noodles,more noodles,a lot of noodles….” Starr kept saying as he dropped the noodles in the cart. 

“Are we hosting a noodle party?” Rocky asked. 

“You will be cooking them for me,since you’re so good in cooking” Starr faced him. 

“Oh I see” Rocky chuckled. 

“Chase and Gray want some strawberry milk” He said. 

“Yeah,right here” Starr said and packed a lot. 

“What about you?” He asked. 

“Whatever you’re drinking” Rocky replied. 

“Banana milk” Starr said and Rocky nodded. 

Starr looked around and his eyes landed on where the banana milks are,he walked closer and raised his hand to pick them, he stopped and moved back. 

“Rocky,can you use long hand to pick them?” He asked and Rocky chuckled. 

“What do you mean by my long hands,just ask for help” He said. 

“As if” Starr scoffed and rolled his eyes. 

Rocky got them into the cart and they continue. 

The shopping is just for their junks and snacks. 

“Can we get pizza burgers on our way home?” Starr asked Rocky after they were helped with their stuffs into the car. 

“Why want burger when you have me?” Rocky asked. 

“Stop” Starr glared and Rocky laughed. 

“I told you how cute you always look whenever you glare right?” He asked. 

Starr ignored him and entered the car,Rocky joined him and started the car. 

“Burger and what?” He asked. 

“I’m going to call Grey if they also want anything” Starr said and dialed his number. 

“They want pizza and chicken” Starr said after he hung up the call. 

“Okay” Rocky said.

ROYAL R’S MANSION* 

They got home only find it empty,Grey and Chase aren’t home. 

“They didn’t say they were going out” Starr said. 

“Oh,I got a text” Rocky said and checked. 

“They went to get some wine” Rocky said. 

“Oh,but can’t that wait? It’s not like we are celebrating anything” Starr said. 

“There’s going to be a party here tomorrow,all night” Rocky said and Starr’s eyes widened. 

“How come I’m just finding out?” He asked. 

“Because they don’t want you to say NO” Rocky winked and started going upstairs. 

“What party is going to last all night? Who did you invite?!” Starr snapped and followed him. 

“Alot” Rocky suddenly faced him and mistakenly bumped into him,almost making him fall. 

Rocky grabbed his hand and pulled him to himself,Starr’s hands wrapped around him in the process,hugging him tight. 

“Don’t worry,I wouldn’t let you fall,I gat you” Rocky muttered. 

Starr blinked and immediately tried to move away from him. 

“Just one more minute” Rocky muttered and keep on hugging him. 

“Hey,what do you think you’re doing?” Starr asked. 

“Hugging you” Rocky replied. 

Starr said nothing and stayed still till Rocky let him go. 

“You’re weird” He muttered and went into his room. 

“I know,I don’t understand either. I’m probably going crazy” Rocky said and sighed out.

NEXT MORNING, GOLDEN PALACE*

Samara was still fast asleep in her bed, snuggled under the cozy blankets. The maids had been trying their best to wake her up, but she just wouldn’t budge. They gently shook her shoulders, whispered in her ear, and even opened the curtains to let sunlight flood the room. Still, Samara slept on, oblivious to the commotion around her.

Just as the maids were about to give up, Queen Vynessa entered the room,the maids immediately went out. 

“Samara?!” Queen Vynessa called loudly. 

“It’s time to get up and ready for school don’t tell me you’ve started skipping classes” 

Samara groggily opened her eyes, rubbing them with her fists. She looked disheveled, with tangled hair that resembled a bird’s nest. Her locks were knotted and rough, sticking out in every direction like a wild tangle of brown wires.

With a gentle but firm hand, Queen Vynessa helped Samara sit up and swing her legs over the side of the bed. Samara’s movements were weak and sluggish, like a puppet on strings. She stumbled out of bed and staggered towards the bathroom, her legs wobbly beneath her.

“What is wrong with her?” Queen Vynessa wondered. 

As Samara entered the bathroom, she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror. Her hair looked like a messy haystack, with strands sticking out every which way. She tried to run her fingers through the tangles, but they got stuck halfway through. She looked like she had just rolled out of bed and stumbled into the bathroom, which wasn’t far from the truth.

Despite her rough appearance, Samara’s eyes sparkled with a hint of mischief, a sign that she was slowly coming back to life. With a bit of prodding, she began to wash her face and brush her teeth, slowly transforming from a sleepy mess to a bright-eyed student ready to take on the day.

“Daniel” She mumbled and exhaled loudly. 

Thinking of the best thing to do with him but nothing is coming at all,nothing is coming to her head. 

She took her bathe and left the bathroom,the queen was already gone. 

Samara entered her dressing room to find her outfit for the day.

After she was ready,she left her suite and walked straight to the king’s chamber.

“Your majesty” Hunter entered just when the king finished dressing up,he insisted on dressing alone again this morning and the servants are getting worried already,wondering if the king is angry with them. 

But only Hunter knew what was going on. 

“Princess Samara requests to see you” Hunter said. 

“Let her in” King Zayne said. 

Hunter bowed and went out and soon Samara entered. 

“Your majesty” She bowed. 

Before the king could respond,she already ran to hug him tightly. 

King Zayne bit his lips to suppress his wince. 

“I’ve missed you” She pouted. 

The king broke the hug and Squeezed her cheeks. 

“I missed you too” He said. 

“Is something wrong?” King Zayne asked. 

“No,I’m fine. I am actually on my way to school,so I came to say hi before leaving” Samara replied. 

“Don’t be late and just leave” King Zayne said. 

“I’m going to see you when I’m back from school today,we gat to talk” Samara kissed his cheeks and walked out. 

Hunter came in after that. 

“Is Charlotte going to school today?” King Zayne asked. 

“Oh,I have no idea your majesty,I can ask if you want….”

“No need,just asking” The king immediately said.

“Are you sure my dress is not too short?” Queen Charlotte asked for the umpteenth time since they left her suite. 

“It’s not too short your highness” Lydia and Amaya said. 

Charlotte checked her dress again,it’s a short gown which stops right on her knees,she wore ankleboots to go with it and she was looking so hot,her hair down. 

“You two can go back from here” Queen Charlotte said as they approached the car she will be taking. 

Lydia and Amaya bowed and walked away. 

Charlotte was about moving when someone blocked her way,she stared at the legs first and then raised her face up,only to find Thorin. 

“Good morning prince” Charlotte said. 

“You’re going to school?” Thorin asked and she nodded. 

“I can take you though,I’m going through that way” He added. 

“Oh…you don’t have to bother” Charlotte smiled. 

“Well I want to” Thorin said. 

Charlotte raised her brows.

“Thanks for the concern but I’m fine” She said. 

“I insist tho” Thorin said and helped her with her bag. 

Charlotte almost followed him. 

“Where do you think you’re going?” A voice suddenly asked from the back. 

“Good morning your majesty” The guards all bowed at once. 

Charlotte turned and her eyes met with the king’s own,Thorin also turned. 

“Where are you going?” King Zayne asked her again. 

Charlotte said nothing and took her bag back from Thorin. 

“I’m taking her to school?” Thorin replied and Zayne chuckled. 

“Try it again and I will make you regret it” he glared at Thorin and faced Charlotte who immediately blinked. 

“Come with me,right now” The king said and started walking,Queen Charlotte followed and the guards. 

“Without the guards” King Zayne uttered and they all stopped at once,watching the king and queen leave. 

Zayne entered into his office and faced her. 

“You seriously wanted to follow him?” He asked. 

“He insisted and…..”

“Don’t be dumb Charlotte,you should know by now those who are my enemies in here,or are you pretending not to know a thing?” King Zayne snapped. 

“I’m sorry,your majesty” Queen Charlotte muttered. 

Zayne said nothing and stared down at her dress. 

“Your dress……” He started and Charlotte immediately looked at him. 

‘Is he going to compliment me? For the first time?’ She thought. 

“Is too short” He completed it and Charlotte blinked. 

“Who are you trying to seduce in school?” Zayne asked and her eyes widened. 

“Nobody,it’s not that short,I just……”

Zayne looked at her and she stopped. 

“It looks pretty” He mumbled. 

“Huh?” Charlotte asked again to be sure. 

“Your dress looks pretty on you” He repeated and a smile appeared on her lips. 

“Since I’ve seen it,go take it off and put on something else,,my queen” King Zayne said.
