“Wakie wakie, sleeping beauty ” a voice rang in Cecilia’s head… She felt a harsh tug on her shoulder and eyes immediately snapped open but more darkness welcomed her vision because she couldn’t see anything.. She tried to move her hand but couldn’t, that was when she realized that her hands and feet had been bonded together and with the way she felt the surface of what she was sitting on, she guessed it would be a wooden chair.

Memories of how she ended up in her present state flashed back into her head like a tsunami mod… Beads of sweat instantly bathed her skin… She tried moving on the chair but all her effort seemed fruitless. A light sob escaped from her lips then another and another.

The rate at which everything happened gagged her and she couldn’t breath properly.

‘Who did this? ‘ was the only question ringing in her head.. Because as far as she knew, the Malton brothers were looked far away half a mile underground.
She tried shaking again when a voice stopped her.

“Easy there Missy” it came out cold and goosebumps instantly bathed her skin… Never in her life had she been this scared , her eyes were almost bobbing out of their sockets… Her breathing became raged and she doubted if she would make it to the next minute and more tears washed down her face.

The lights suddenly came up though it was dim, but it was enough to give her a view of the person and how close he was….

Her heart was pounding hard, like it would fly out of her chest in the next second.. Alvarez!!!

“Al.. Alvarez? “. She stuttered,, he was sitting on a stool right in front of her, so close that his breath fanned her.

“Yes, Alvarez, that’s my name, sweet to call isn’t it? ” he breathed icily against her tear streamed face.

“Leo has good taste I must confess “. He sneered leaning back to rake his eyes over her body.

“Delectable ” he muttered cocking his head to the side.

“Wwhhat…. What do you want? “. She managed to say between sobs.

“What do I want? Tsk.. Tsk.. Tsk… I really don’t know.. I came out of the cell to receive some fresh air but I became bored in the process….. Hmm… And now you’re here but I don’t know what to do to you… Or should call Leo? “. He sneered further and all she did was cry.

“Yeah , I think we should call Leo”. He added and sprouted up, he slowly walked round to stand behind her.. For almost a minute he stood still watching her, she started to think he was no longer there but surprisingly, he painfully grabbed a hand full of her hair and tipped her head back almost straining her neck. She yelled in pain and shut her eyes when more tears came gushing out..

“Say cheese “. She heard him say close to her ears and ‘click’ sound followed prompting her to peel her eyes open and she found that he took a picture of her.

He released his grip on hair and focused his eyes on the phone.
“And send”. He muttered before flicking his cold brown eyes back to her.

“Now we wait for Perez “

Cecilia’s mum was already looking here and there for her, she asked everyone she knew Cecilia had spoke with but no one knew were she was and fear was slowly creeping in.

“She just went out to receive a phone call and we haven’t seen her since, we thought she got hooked up with others “. Alex said to her when she asked about Cecilia’s whereabouts.

“That was about an hour ago “. Bella added.

It was dark already but the crowd and chatters had lessened, so it would be easy to spot her anywhere.

She brought out her phone with shaky hands and dialed Owen’s number.

“He.. Hello Owen? “. She said, her voice quivering.

“Yeah mum, what’s wrong? “

“Is.. Um.. Did Cecilia perhaps come home? “

“No, I thought you guys were coming back together? “

“We were going to come back together but I can’t find her! “

“Have you tried calling her? “

“Yes, but her phone is switched off! “

“Are you sure she’s not
somewhere around? “.

“She’s not here “. She replied but it came out as a sob.

Leo was driving 170 kmph, breaking every traffic rule… He just couldn’t bring himself to think of the possibility that Alvarez was going to Cecilia, he felt his blood boil at the thought.

Not knowing what to do, he dialed Allan’s number to check if they’d gotten a hold of him.

“Hello general, have you found him yet? “

“No Leo, we’re still on his trail “
“God how did he manage to fvcking escape!! “. He half yelled, banging the steering wheel.

“That’s what we don’t… “. Allan was trying explain but he hanged up with his teeth grounded together….. Anger was an under statement of what he felt at that moment.. Fury, laced with fear was all he felt.

His phoned chimed making his eyes dart to the screen,, a frown creased his forehead almost immediately, the message was from an unknown number.

Hesitantly, he clicked ‘open’ and almost had a cardiac arrest when he looked at the contents of the message. It was a picture, in it, Cecilia’s head was tipped back with her hair, her eyes were closed and Alvarez was leaning close to her with a devilish grin..

“Fvck!!! ” he cursed almost crushing the phone.

Loud horns and curses reminded him that he’d parked right in the middle of the road. He took another glance at the image and from the background, it was easy to guess that Alvarez was holding Cecilia hostage in his wrecked hideout in the outskirts of Pomona.

Taking a U turn, he drove in full speed to the abandoned factory..
Thirty minutes later he reached the abandoned factory and flew out of the car into the building, all the high-techs that the Malton brothers used to keep their location hidden had been removed so he knew it would be easy to find them.

As he walked further into the building, he started hearing sobs, the whole place was dark so he couldn’t see but he recognized the voice.

“Cecilia!! “. He called out painfully, images of things Alvarez could have done to her flashed through his mind making his whole figure tremble with fury.

“Cecilia!! “. He called, harshly this time.

The lights suddenly flicked on and he spotted Cecilia tied on a chair in the middle of the room… She looked scared and messed up… A certain fear tugged at the back of his mind.. ‘What if he? No no no ‘ he shut his mind out.

“You’re late “. The cold words hit his ear buds a moment later.

‘Ghost indeed ‘. His subconscious snickered at him.

“Alvarez “. He growled with balled fists.

“Perez “. Alvarez replied leaning closer.

“Alvarez, I’ve always known you’re a coward, why did you have to involve her in this? “. Leo growled not minding that a gun was on his temple… He’d grown so un afraid of death that he almost forgot that he was normal now… Though he knew Alvarez was unaware so he wouldn’t bother wasting his bullets on him..

“You always amaze me Perez ” Alvarez answered roughly pushing him from behind.

“I’m very brutal not a coward”. He continued ” I use every means to get what I want, I want you down but I know you won’t go down easily, so I decided to use your woman to get you and fortunately, it worked perfectly “.

“That still doesn’t change the fact that you’re a pimp, a loser, you’re a motherfucking bitch Alvarez you and your brothers are pathetic bitches! “. Leo spat back… He wanted to get Alvarez angry… So he could distract him.

“You know Alvarez “. He sneered further stepping closer to where Alvarez stood already fuming. “I always knew you guys were stupid unrealistic sadists, your obsession with inflicting pain on others completely clouded your reasoning to the extent you killed your parent and turned your sister stone cold, what a nice way to get what you want pimp, you.. “
“Shut up Perez!! “. Alvarez barked his grip on the gun tighter.

Alvarez continued hitting him but stopped abruptly when the sounds of siren filled the area.. Leo took that as a cue and pounced on Alvarez taking him off guard… He retaliated with full force.. Sending heavy punches on every part he came in contact with.

He was suddenly dragged back by strong hands.

“Leave me the fvck alone!! “. He barked.

“Calm down Leo, calm down! “. He heard Sawyer’s voice that was when he looked up to see Conan and Sawyer holding him with a number of cops looming about.

“Bastard!! “. He muttered freeing himself from their grip.

He looked back to find Cecilia already untied and standing unmoved, she looked relieved but the fright was still there.

He took long strides her way and caged her in a hug when he was close enough.

“Leo… I.. I.. I.. Was… So.. Scared… ” she sobbed onto his chest.

“Shhh…. It’s all over now baby cry no more “. He soothes holding her closer.

“But how did he manage to escape? “. She asked after awhile.

“I don’t know but I’ll make sure I kill him myself this time “. He replied cupping her cheek.

“But they won’t die would they? “

“They will definitely die after we… ‘. He was saying but stopped when a gunshot sounded, his eyes immediately popped out and he sttagered back…

What happened next, happened so fast yet it looked so slow, two more gunshot were heard and Leo’s eyes grew wide with each… His shirt became blood stained , it took a moment for Cecilia to realize who’d been shot.

“Leo?!!! “. She screamed barely able to reach him before he fell down to reveal Alvarez standing with a gun and satisfied smile on his face…

The scene looked familiar, Leo felt his sight go blur and a feeling of deja vu overwhelmed him… This happened one and half century ago.

A man in black standing with a gun, time coming to a stand still , shouts of chaos, piercing pain!!
This scene had definitely happened before, only , this time… He was not coming back…..

Silvia ran out of Mediterian Garden confused. She was scared of what her brothers planned to do… She knew they meant it, they meant every single word they spoke and she knew she couldn’t stop them.

They wouldn’t have told her about their plan to release poisonous gas into the air or their plan of bombing half of the country.

She found out on her own… Mark told her.. On that fateful day, he called her but as usual she lashed out on him before he could even explain his purpose of calling.

It’s not as if she hated him but she despised the ground he walked on because as young and intelligent as he was, he chose to dedicated his life to crime, deadly sins, despicable acts. What she couldn’t understand was, why?

Why did he partake in such an act in the first place?

Why did he accept her brothers proposal to become a partner and messenger?

“Was it the pay? Or the ghostly adventures that came with it?

But there was one thing she was sure of, he wasn’t happy with it, he wasn’t in support of her brothers demonic affairs and what cemented her thought was the call he passed to her. He called her that day and their conversation went thus.

“You couldn’t do it? Do you have an idea of what we’re talking about her? !!! Some stupid lunatic will release poison into the atmosphere in less than forty eight hours and you’re here saying you couldn’t do It ?!??? “. He roared fuming.

“Take it easy Perez, she’s not the one you’re supposed to lash out on
 “. A voice replied from the entrance and every pair of eye turned to behold the person they were searching for…..

Leo, Susan, Cecilia and Sawyer managed to deal with the men but more seemed to be coming.

“Guys we need to get out of here! More of them are coming! “.
Sawyer yelled swiftly dodging a blow.

“Get into the car!! “. Leo yelled back in response and expertly collected a rod from an enemy and used back on him.

Sawyer managed to reach the car first and sat on the driver’s seat, he immediately ignited the engine ready to move…. Cecilia followed next but just before she could open the door, she was forcefully pulled backwards and she almost hit the ground.

“What the f**k!! “. She cursed trying to regain her stance…. She flipped her loose hair to the side before looking at the moron who pulled her… She seriously had to stifle a laugh as she saw him… He was a stout pot bellied man, who should be in his late fourties and looked like he could hardly carry himself.
‘How much did they pay you to this? ‘. She thought before giving him a hard kick between his groin . He fell on the ground painfully holding his balls..
“Suits you right “. She spat on his face and entered the car.

Susan on the other hand , seemed rather reluctant to go, she was busy electrifying the attackers with a taser… It looked small like a pencil unlike the normal taser that was gun shaped…. The tiny device performed the task of five tasers put together coz the instant she used it on any of the attackers, they fainted due to the shock and pain it transfered to their system.
She felt superior to them… I mean, how would you feel, by just stretching your hand to electrocute a bunch of hefty looking daddies who came to kill you?

Yeah, that’s how Susan felt when each person she attacks falls to the ground… She reluctantly made her way to the car, lashing anyone who stood in her way…

Sawyer took off the moment Leo was able to ward of the blows and enter the car.. They took off in high speed and some of the men who were waiting outside with cars and bikes immediately followed them.

“We need somewhere to hide, there’s no way we’ll be able to drive back to town without getting caught “. Sawyer said driving up to the highway
Almost immediately Conan’s voice rang out..

“Guys I’m going to my farmhouse,, there’s no way we’ll be able to drive back to town without getting caught but I’ll try to play little tricks and try to loose them “. He rushed out, it was obvious that he was in a hot seat..

“No problem Conan, we’ll meet you there ” Leonardo responded.
Sawyer, managed to take another route, towards Conan’s farmhouse, in a town called Chino hills.

Taking a turn towards the town, they were able to mix up with other cars and keep their attackers at a reasonable distance away from them… But a little while later they stopped pursuing them and disappeared out of sight.
“I can’t see them” Sawyer said surprised at how easily they were able to escape..

“Yeah it seems they’ve… “. Leo was saying when a car behind them suddenly sped up to their side and before they could comprehend what was happening next… A masked person, popped out of the window and fired several bullets at them, they escaped all the bullets but the last one brushed pass Leo’s arm… And that was all… No sign or trace of any danger was felt or seen, they stopped following them and turned back, heading to an unknown destination.

Before anyone of them could respond, the door screeched open and she walked in, looking haggard.

She looked at the third brother in the eye and replied..

Alvarez the eldest and leader of the Malton brothers, walked up to where she stood and landed a thundering slap on her face..

 ” she snapped leaning forward.

“I got caught up in traffic, and why is Mark not here? “. He answered taking a seat.

“I’m the one you’re supposed to meet, Mark is incapable of doing what I’m here for ” .

“Why, is he sick or something? “

“No no, nothing like that, he’s not just fit to do the job I’m here for “
 she answered this time rising to her feet and taking slow steps towards him.

“Oh… So what are you here for, apart from our planned business? ” he asked, noting all the delectable features she possessed. Then and there, he was already thinking of different angle he could use in banging her.

With Justin and Moran traveling on the highway while the rest went through the underground road… They arrived in Pomona valley, forty five minutes later… Justin took a different route to a the end of the valley and rounded off to the highest elevation giving them a view of the small city ahead and the border of the state itself.

It was already 7:33 pm.

“We still have enough time to prepare and rest before they get here ” he said to Moran who was half asleep.

“Hmm” was the only sound she could make in return. He chuckled and reached for a bag at the backseat.

Moran fluttered her lashes open to see Justin loading his guns.

“I thought you would only carry your machine gun? “. She whispered loudly, raking her eyes over the different shapes and sizes of the guns in his possession.

“A hitman doesn’t stick to one type of gun, each has it’s own purpose “. Justin replied loading the last short gun.

” can you handle a gun? “. He asked looking at her with a smug smile.

“Yep ” she replied nodding her head.

“Who taught you? “

“My grandpa, he was an army officer “.

“Really? “

“Yeah “
“Tell me about your family Moran”. He said and looked at the time again… They still had more than enough time to talk.

The two Ferraris reached McKinley hills a little while later.. While Conan drove further into the city… Leo took another path to the place they’d be meeting.

McKinley hills was a very small town in outskirts of Pomona , the town is called McKinley hills but the main McKinley hills is a large ridge that caved in and formed a hollow space which five or six people can fit in. It is situated at the middle of the town. One special thing about McKinley hills is that when people are inside, the hollowness of the place prevents them to be seen by people outside but you can clearly see anyone outside if you’re inside. The outer surrounding together with the interior was onate and felt relaxing.

Conan drove out to the road and entered the town through the main road while Leo remained underground and drove to the space right under McKinley hills.
No one needed to tell them where Dante would be meeting his supposed allies..

Sawyer and Susan got out of the car and immediately set to work… They started placing small magnetic devices that looked like a walkie talkie on the ceiling which was the ground of the hill.

Leo brought out a small box, which is the sound transmission panel. It contained series of connected wires and a small satellite shaped object at the middle. When they were done setting things up, Susan connected it with her computer and after punching different characters on the keyboard they started hearing sounds coming from McKinley

Conan parked the car at a small distance away from McKinley hills, they got out and entered a small casino just opposite it. That way they could observe the movement of people and vehicles around the area and they would immediately notify the others about them.

Moran and Justin were so engrossed in their conversation, they lost track of time… They were only zapped out of their discussion by the faint reflection of light coming from afar… It was a… A white Mercedes Benz, it was approaching the town with full speed.

Justin quickly alerted the others of the incoming car prompting the guys in the casino to keep a watchful eye.

Fay drove into the not so loud town of McKinley hills at exactly five minutes to nine. She smiled and mentally pictured how she would perform her task and exit the place unnoticed.

She picked up a gun carelessly lying on the passenger seat, there was a silencer on it… That would make her work very quiet and concise.

She made her through the palladian buildings to the the rigde. She took a deep breath trying to assure herself that everything would go well, before entering the hollow rigde . Her plan was just to enter, pull the trigger and get out but that plan took a u turn backwards when she entered to find the place empty except for a table and two chairs. It has obviously been reserved for their meeting but her victim was yet to be seen..

“Asshole” she cursed and went to sit down on one of the chairs.

Cecilia stared shocked at the figure she just saw entering the ridge.

“Fay? “. She breathed out admist all the chaotic chatters of the gamblers and gamers in the casino.

‘Now everything is making sense’ she thought, sharply filling all the gaps.

Mark must have come to tell Fay to assassinate Dante. And he was unaware of the danger awaiting him, he would foolishly enter to never come out.

“Um.. Cecilia… Isn’t that the Fay you were talking about? “. Conan asked behind her.

She turned to face him, nodding her head she answered.
“Dante is meeting no messenger, he’s about to be killed! “

Leo, Sawyer and Susan were set to listen to the conversation when Leo’s phone rang..

“Cecilia? ” he muttered as he saw who the caller is.

“Guys a black Sedan is approaching, and three Lamborghinis have parked at the back of the ridge, and there are dangerous looking men on bikes, they’ve surrounded the area ” he said lowly.

“Yes, Dante just got out of the Sedan and I can see some men ” Conan added sighting Dante as he stepped out the car.

Leo thought fast of what to do… Dante is a criminal but he’s not supposed to die now.. He should be alive to at least, testify against the Malton brothers.

He glanced at Sawyer and Susan who were waiting for his suggestion… Their initial plan would definitely not work out now..

He picked a pistol from the car and turned to face them.

“Sawyer, are your fighting skills still intact? ” He asked smugly
“You bet “. Sawyer replied with a smirk, understanding what Leo meant.

“Susan I believe you have some gadgets for defense ” he said more like asked.

“I never go anywhere without them ” she replied tapping her pockets.

“Good” Leo mumbled in approval before bringing the small Bluetooth speaker close..

“Guys we need to change our plan! “

Fay was not particularly having a good day coz she and Jamie had a an argument…. He was professing his feelings for her too clearly her.. Before their first intercourse she’d clearly stated that their affair would be promiscuous ; no dates, no love making, only f**king and that’s that..

But apparently that night Jamie was too horny to think straight.. Now his heart and mind centers around her, the beautiful Fay and she DOESN’T want that… Okay the truth is ; she also has feelings for him BUT, falling in love is nat in anyway related to her mission there. Her mission is ; ‘go in there and get all the possible info, if you have to use your body then do it.. Just get it and flee! ‘. Yeah. That’s what they told her and she knew better than to disobey… She’d definitely be dead…

Now back to what happened…. They woke up this morning wrapped around each other and with a charming smile he greeted and kissed her passionately.. That alone made her heart quaver, but she pushed it aside “it’s just a kiss ” she told herself.

What pushed her to the edge was his request on their way to the office…. Their conversation went thus :

“Uhm baby? ” Jamie called taking a quick glance at her.

He stared blankly at the place she was sitting a moment ago… He heaved deeply and leaned on the steering . He was in position for a while before turning on the ignition and sped off.

Now they were not talking to each other… It was hurting her but, her mission is more important than any niggling feeling.

As if things could not get any worse her phone rang.. She sighed when she looked at the caller and with an eye roll she picked it up.

“Yes Mark I’m listening “

meet me at the restaurant beside your workplace “

hmm I’ll be there.

With that said, he brought out a small book and passed it to her.
“All you need to do is in here and just so you know its tonight “. He said.

She picked the book and opened, her brows furrowed the moment she looked inside the book.
“Isn’t this Dante Orleans? The one you have a business contract with? “

“Yeah “

“Why do you want him dead, we went to his dad’s party just two days ago! “

“We found out he trespassed and was trying to look where he wasn’t supposed to “

“That’s why you want to kill him? “
“Yes and I’m not the one who wants him dead, they ordered it.. He’ll be at the address in the book tonight “. He said and stood up.
“I need to leave… If there’s anything else, I’ll let you know ” he added and walked away.

Oh no.. Not again.. What have done to deserve this?

She sighed for umpteenth time and got up, making for the exit, unaware of the two pair of eyes curiously watching her..

Moran gapped at the two of them intently, forgetting that someone was even talking to her.

“Moran “. Justin called and she turned to face him.

“What are you staring at? “

“Look, behind you “. She whispered and he turned around to see Mark passing a small book to Fay.

“Isn’t that Mark? Dante’s friend? ” he asked dumbfoundedly.

“Yes and he’s not just Dante’s friend he’s working for the Malton Brothers “. She replied.

Moments later Mark got up and started going out and soon Fay followed .

“What is Fay doing with him? “. She whispered to herself.

“We should follow them “. She said aiming to get up but he held her down.

“No wait.. “. Almost immediately their phones beeped at once, indicating a new message.

They wordlessly opened the message.. It read

Let’s meet at Leo’s place ASAP, there’s a new message in Dante’s email… We might embark on our next task tonight

“What are we going to do now.. Follow him or go to Leo’s place? “. Moran asked looking up.

“I say we go to Leo’s place, who knows the message might be related to what we just saw”. Justin replied..

“Is it just me or is there someone in the house, I smell chicken “. Moran asked also sniffing.

“Someone’s here ” she added.

Almost immediately a plump middle aged lady with short blond hair emerged from the kitchen.
“Wanda!! “. They both yelled like preschool kids and ran to hug her.

“O my, you guys are back! “. Wanda poured returning the hug.

“Wanda, how did you know we were not around? “. Cecilia asked as they disengaged from the hug.

“I know your in and out my child, I actually came to see you, but you were not around and your house was a complete mess so I figured you were out of town and of course you don’t go anywhere without Moran.. So I decided to stay till you returned. ” the older lady explained.

“Oh thank you so much Wanda “. Cecilia said smiling like a little child.

Wanda was more like a nanny to her but since she was old enough to take care of herself, she would only call Wanda when things were hiked up for her.

“Do I smell chicken? “. Moran muttered playfully.
“Yep I made your favorite, I just had a feeling you might come back today ” Wanda replied.

“Yay my mouth is watering already “. Moran squealed.

“Which mouth is watering? “. Cecilia cut her off.

“Just turn around and go back to your house, before your gluttonic stomach sucks all my food “

Moran gasped and placed her hands on her waist feigning an angry face.

“Are you trying to say I’m glutton? ” she asked.

“I’ll be elated to see you try ” and that’s how they continued arguing forgetting Wanda and their luggage at the entrance of the house.

Wanda, who had a smile on her face, carried their bags and took it to their rooms before joining them back in the kitchen.

Leo was lying face down on his bed, he was sated and tired but sleep refused to come… How was he even supposed to sleep when he had so many things to think about and put in place.

The door suddenly flung open and Sawyer’s head popped in.

“How many times do I have to remind you to knock? “. Leo growled at him.

“There’s no beautiful lady in the room with you, why should waist useful glucose banging my hands against a wood. “. Sawyer answered with a crooked smile.

“Come with me to the lab, there’s something you need to see “

“Grandpa just come with me and stop being a pain in my ass” Sawyer replied and shut the door.

The only two people that knew about his condition were Conan and Sawyer, coz they were the closest people to him and he could only trust them.

Sawyer took it upon himself to help look for the cause of his inability to die and ever since he’d been working on it. Leo had long since given up finding a cure or cause, he’d worked on it for years and no meaningful or accurate result came forth.

Sawyer is a forensic scientist, so he had a personal laboratory at the basement of the house the three of them stayed. He worked on Leo’s case in the lab trying every single method he knew to put some sense in the issue.

He ran a blood test on him just before they traveled to Texas and he just decided to through the results, when he found something unusual.

“Tell me “. Leo muttered as he entered the well equipped lab.
Conan was also there intently looking at something under the microscope.

Leo resisted the urge to laugh at how Conan was handling the microscope, what was he even looking at? It’s not like he understood anything going on under the slide.

“Look at this “. Sawyer said to giving him a booklet of all the test they previously carried out.
“These are my previous test results “. Leo drawled almost rolling his eyes.

“Yes, isn’t there anything different about the results from the one’s you did before we met like, after your second death? “. Sawyer asked.

“Nop I don’t see anything only a slight change in the hematocrit percentage. “. He answered paying little attention to the book.

“There is.. Look at the result of the test you ran before your second death, that was when you had an accident according to you, and that was also before we met”
“Yeah.. So? “

“If you notice, your cells before then were tripled and after you died and reawakened it became double. “. Sawyer expounded.

“I don’t get you”. Leo muttered.

“What I’m saying is, before you died for the second time , each cell in your body was in threes and after you died and reawoken it reduced to two presently each of your cells are in twos “. Sawyer explained.

“So you’re saying, maybe the cells are responsible for my life spam and after each death it reduces meaning, that now I have two lifelines and before my second death it was three? “. He asked understanding what Sawyer just proposed.

“Yes… Look “. Sawyer continued pushing Conan away from the microscope.

“Look closely, each cell is double ” he urged.

Leo slowly walked to where the microscope sat and looked at what was under the slide… Indeed all the white and red blood cells were joined together. I. E two cells were joined as one.

“All the cells in your system are exactly like that”. Sawyer said.

“If that’s the case, then how do we explain why people forget about me when I reawaken? “. Leo asked raising his head up.

“That’s what I’m still thinking about, perhaps it’s from something in your past life and maybe how you were killed? Do you remember anything unusual? “
“No.. All I remember is dancing with Amy at our party then everything turning blur and it was like time suddenly came to a halt and I blacked out”. Leo explained with a sigh.

‘How is all these making sense? ‘ he thought sadly.

“Then we have to dig deeper Leo, try to remember”. Conan nudged.

Leonardo who had been looking for an opportunity to get out of the place, quickly responded.

“Mr Sham, Mr Hayes if you’ll excuse us, it’s almost ten , we have and early morning flight tomorrow. “

“Of course, you need rest, no problem we’ll see you some other time “. Mr Sham answered.

“Have a good rest and safe trip and don’t forget to send our regards to your father “. Mr Hayes added.

“Yes we will, it was a pleasure meeting you “. Leonardo intoned.

With that they shook hands and dallied off to look for Orlando.

“So soon? “. Orlando complained when informed him they were leaving.

“And you didn’t inform us? “

“Yeah, please you guys should wrap things up, when we get back we’ll discuss our next move “

“Okay then,, just get back soon “. Conan breathed out.

“See ya”. Cecilia waved before they hurried off to the parking lot where their rented car was parked.

“Good now you should head back, before someone comes in “

She quickly arranged the papers the way she met them and contemplated whether or not to take some money.. But later decided against it, she didn’t wanna stir up suspicions.. Orlando doesn’t even have an idea that someone’s onto him.

She punched the code on the pad and door opened.

“Phew “. She sighed wiping off imaginary sweat from her face before going up the path she followed into the room.

Sawyer on the other hand deleted every footage that each of them appeared in, he temporarily shut down the cameras and programmed them to only start working in the next thirty minutes..’ That’s enough time to get back to the suite ‘. He thought.

Cecilia and Leonardo arrived at Charlie’s home in Texas, about half an hour later.

Cecilia rang the door bell and a minute later, it flew open revealing a beautiful blonde woman.

“Leah! “

“This is Leonardo, Leonardo this is Leah my cousin and Charlie’s wife “. Cecilia introduced.

“Nice to meet you ma’am “. Leo greeted stretching his hands for a handshake, but she surprised him by pulling him into a bear hug.

“The lady he wants you to see, but promise not to shout or make any noise when you see her, the kid’s are asleep “. Leah answered in a manner you wouldn’t believe she was cheerful just moments ago.. She sounded strict and business like.. One of the qualities Cecilia loved about her, she could handle crime and family life together.. The main reason why Charlie aloud her assist him in his numerous mystery cases.

“Who’s the lady and why will I even scream when I see her? “. Cecilia asked feeling confused.. Now she was beginning to feel scared..

Charlie was standing facing a woman who was sitting on the only chair in the room.

But Fay was at the party before she left.

That when she noticed the difference between Fay and the woman sitting on the chair with her mouth taped.

She skipped off the bed and started looking around..

“Where’s your phone? “. She questioned with authority.
“It’s in my pocket ” he mumbled breathing heavily.

She jumped on the bed pushed him on his sides and removed the phone from his pocket.. As if on cue the phone beeped, notifying that a message just entered. The message was from an unknown number..

She opened the message and behold.. It read..

Tuesday, 9:00 pm

Moran smiled triumphantly.. She didn’t expect her job to be so easy.. ‘Well maybe luck is on our side ‘. She thought.

She brought out her phone and quickly copied the message to her phone. Then she brought out the lipstick she collected from Erika and drew random marks on parts of his body.. Then she removed a pen and paper from one of the drawers and wrote a note so he would not suspect anything… Coz when he wakes up he would only remember all that happened before coming to the room..

She got off the bed, straightened her dress and headed out,, before she reached the door it opened and Justin entered,, with an uncertain expression on his face.
“Justin? “. She called.

“Are you alright?? “. He inquired scrutinizing her.

“Did the bastard touch you? “

“No”. She replied

“I’m fine,, really”

“Good,, else I would have cut off his balls and fed them to my dog”. He said with seriousness.

“Really,, you would’nt do that”. She replied laughing.

“Moran, you have no idea of what I’m capable of”. He mumbled with no trace of unseriousness in voice.
“Okay!! Chill dude I’m fine”. She nugded.

“You’re the first lady calling me a dude ” he blurted out, his hardened face was a bit soft now.

“Really?! “

“Yeah.. Only fellow guys call me dude”

“Oh.. “. She mouthed and he smiled.

“What did you get? “. He asked looking around for any sign of the assh*le.

Erika stared blankly as the door opened and a tall well built man entered the room.

He walked briskly into the room. He stopped when saw the lasers and tryped some figures on a transparent keyboard on the wall.
Immediately the red lines died down.

‘After all my hard work all he did was just wriggle his fingers and the stupid lasers disappeared’. She thought dryly.

He continued his journey farther into the room, she gulped down nervously when he walked passed her.

She was glued to the wall and he didn’t see her.

‘It worked!! I’m f**king invisible ‘ she rejoices inwardly.

Susan had instructed her to press a botton on the suit and a hoodie covered her face,, all she had to do was stick to the wall and no one would see her..

She watched as the man dallied to a a door, it was different from the other doors cause a type pad was in place of the handle and the door itself was metallic.

She slowly followed him,, still sticking to the wall as quiet as possible.

He reached the door and typed a code before it slided open. He entered and just before it closed she also dragged herself in.

The sight that greeted her in the room was shocking,,

The whole room, from top to bottom was filled with money frigging MONEY!!

She used her hand to cover her mouth to prevent her from screaming down the place.. Never in her life had she seen such a huge stack of money.

‘What the hell is all these money doing here? ‘. She thought
‘What in the world happened to banks? ‘

Like in this modern day,, an educated person would keep things like this in the house?? No not even in the house, in a hotel!!
Well.. The thing is.. He has too much illegal money and if he saves them in the bank it would only stir up trouble and series of investigation and that’s the last thing Orlando was thinking of dealing with.

The man picked up a briefcase from a row of them on a metal shelf at on corner of the room.

The room was actually very big, with computers on one side, a shelf on another, where different sizes of briefcases occupied and some files were also stacked there. But the most part of the room was filled with dollars.

The man opened the briefcase, filled it with money.. Then turned around and made to exit.

But then he stopped and looked around as if he felt the presence of another person.. She gulped down in fear.hoping that her cover would not fail at this moment..
After a while he resumed his journey to the door and her anxiety increased because she was standing beside it.

But he didn’t seem bothered, coz he hurriedly typed the code.. She took advantage of the opportunity and peeked at the keys he punched.

He typed it fast though, so she had to slowly reflect back after he stepped out and the door slided shut.

M O N E Y A N D M O N E Y was what he typed.

“Jesus!! This man is obsessed with money “. She said to herself leaving the wall and she became visible again.

Immediately the coldness of the room hit her.. ‘Of course this much money would require very low temperature. ‘. She thought going straight to where the files where.. That was the only thing that made sense right now,, coz she can’t even think of laying her hands on a single dollar..

Cecilia and Leo were still trying very hard to keep up the act and answer numerous questions from the people they.. Like now they were speaking to an Indian man Mr Sham.

“So when are you setting up the business? ” he asked and they both struggled to understand his words because of his accent.

“Uhm anytime soon “. Cecilia answered.. She got his message faster.

“That’s good “. Mr Sham intoned nodding.

“But I’m sure my father would inform you,, before the launching “. Leonardo added.

“He should, because I would help him bring clients,, from my sector but I must have a commission you know? “. He said with a grin.

The both of them were already thinking of a suitable answer to give when Cecilia’s cell phone
rang. Saving them the trouble..

“Excuse me”. She said before moving aside to a less noisy area.
She looked at the caller ID.. It was Charlie..

‘What could be the problem? ‘ she thought before picking it.

Hello Charlie?

Uhm Cecilia!! He called his voice laced with urgency.
