Sochina – Episode 30

Theme: My Only Sister

IT was weekend and as usual, Annette returned home to spend the weekend with her family

Thank God soon, all these tussles and bustles for school gonna be over soon
She just had few months to finish up

Annette was extremely happy and she couldn’t pin point the reason, well maybe because she’s already been offered a job to commence immediately after graduation
She’s been offered that by  the mother of a friend of hers, who runs a journal firm

She hadn’t told her husband about it yet, so she got up from the couch she was sitting on, and walked to the sitting room where he sat

“Hello dear”, she smiled and sat beside him

Fred was on his phone and he looked up from it
“Hi”, he replied, guilt filled him

Annette twisted her lips, grinning from ear to ear

He looked at her
“You look happy? What’s the celebration.”, he asked

She laughed
“Well, the celebration is, I’ll be graduating soon you know?”, he nodded, “moreso I’ve been offered a job in a journal firm to commence once I’m done from school”

Fred’s eyes widened
“You don’t mean it?”

She laughed
“Oh of course I did. It’s a news isn’t it?”

He nodded
“A good one at that”

She laughed
“Thank you. So, we should have a cheers to that right?”, she placed her head on his shoulder

He cringed and nodded
“Yes”, he replied

“Let me go get a scotch”, she got up and walked into the room

Fred watched her as she left and felt guilty, a girl who had gone through a lot because of him, now he’s having eyes for her sister?
Yes it was wrong, but he couldn’t help it
After having fun with her husband, Annette walked into their room and decided to change the sheets of their bed
It was dirty and therefore, needed change

She tucked out the sheets and then flopped it off
And then boom! Something caught her attention

It was a piece of clothing and it had fallen off from the sheets as soon as she flopped it away

She walked up to the piece on the floor and stared at it

What!
It was a lingerie, and……oh no! It was Sochima’s lingerie
She knew it so well, infact she had been the one who got it for her during her birthday the previous year

But hold on, what was it doing here in her matrimonial bed and room? What?

She stood to think straight. Was Fred cheating on her with her own sister?
No, she shook her head
He can’t do such, he can’t. She knew her sister too well, she also can’t do it

But even at that, what if they’re pretending? She really has to find out
She took one last look at the lingerie on the floor and sighed

She got up, walked to her wardrobe and took out a glass casing
Then she carefully placed the lingerie into it
That was her proof if ever anything had gone wrong
The next day was a Sunday, the family had woken up so late

Annette got up by eight, and began the day’s chores
Her husband and sister were still sleeping, so peacefully like babies

She walked to the tap, fetched some water and then cleaned the house
Then she did the laundry and then the dishes

The previous day’s findings were still pondering in her mind and she just couldn’t wait to get it all done up

After all the work, she proceeded to prepare the food
That was when the rest of the family woke up

She prepared the meal so fast and soon she was done with it
Then she took to the dining and served onto plates

Soon the family gathered for breakfast
As soon as they were through, she asked them to wait, that she has something they would like to see

“Not so fast honey”, she said to Fred who had already shoved back his seat to leave

Fred stopped and looked at her, she smiled
“I’ve something that would definitely interest the both of you”, she said

Sochima looked at her, then at Fred
“Ok then, let’s see”, she said

Annette smiled and got up, then left for her room
She returned seconds later with the glass casing and dropped it on the table before them

“Here”, she said and opened it, “what do you two have to say about this?”, she asked

Jeeze!
They all instantly began looking panicked and shaken, she could detect it in their eyes

“Sochi? This is yours isn’t it? And I found it in my matrimonial room, doing what?”, she asked

Sochima’s eyes fell, she was ashamed
“I’m sorry sister, I didn’t mean to. I’m very sorry”, she pleaded

Annette looked at her in disgust. Sorry? Was all she could say?
Could sorry undo what she’s done? Could it?
Her only sister had betrayed her

She turned to Fred, he looked sober and ashamed on his own part, she shook her head in pity

“Fred, if someone ever told me you would do this, I wouldn’t believe, but now not only you did it, but with my own sister”, the tears began pouring out

Despite all the ordeals she went through just because of him, she was also busy at school turning down the guys approaching her, she didn’t know her husband was at home busy making out with her sister
How sad and unbelievable

She took a last look at the both of them, and stormed out into the room

Sochima followed her immediately and as soon as they got to the room, she began pleading

“Sister please, I’m sorry. I…. I didn’t know what came over me”

Annette ignored her and busied herself with bringing out her boxes and arranging her belongings into it

Sochima was dumbfounded, was she really leaving?

“Sister please, don’t leave”

“You keep quiet”, she thundered and Sochima shivered
“How could you? My own sister, how could you? You so well know all I went through because of him, you know that. Yet you belittled yourself to my matrimonial bed, and betrayed me”, she looked at her with angry eyes and continued with what she was doing

“Sis please”, she went on her knees

“Get your filthy self out of here Sochi, I’m leaving you can as well marry him”

Sochima reluctantly left in tears

Annette packed up and was ready to leave, when Fred came in

He didn’t believe she could leave so soon
“Honey why you doing this?”, he asked trying to prevent her from making more attempts to pack

“Don’t honey me, go and honey my sister. I’m finally leaving so the house can be free for the both of you”, she rowed out her box

Fred shook his head, how stupid and naive of him to have done that

“Please Annette, please. I’m sorry for what happened, besides you can’t just leave because of a mere lingerie you found on our bed”

“That’s my evidence Fred. You guys have been into this for a long time”, she turned to face him, “you as well so know all I went through in the hands of enemies because of you, I even got pregnant and had to drop out of school, because you meant a lot to me, now you went ahead and betrayed me with my sister”, she cried, “I’ll never forgive the both of you for that, never”, she shouted
“I’m sorry to say this, but thank God the baby died, like it knew such thing was gonna happen”

Fred sighed and ran his hands through his hair. All she said was true, she really had gone through a lot because of him, now he had betrayed her with her sister
How stupid

She watched as Annette rowed out her boxes to the entrance, still not wanting her to leave, he found what to say

“Okay, how you gonna cope with your studies?”

She looked at him
“I’ve made plans for that already. I’ll be coming tomorrow morning with my lawyer, so I can file for a divorce”

Fred was stunned
“What! Did you just hear yourself?”

“You should be ashamed  yourself, good bye”, she rowed out the boxes outside the house and walked out of thier lives, and probably out of their minds
Annette sat on the comfy sofa in her posh sitting room, as she sipped champagne from the glass cup, she was going through her next job in line

Well, it’s been a year since she left the only people she calls family, because of betrayal
And since then, everything has changed for the better

She had successfully filed for divorce and therefore has nothing to do with Fred anymore
Moreso, she had stayed over at a friend’s house to complete her education and immediately after graduation, she moved to Abuja, to be very far from them

Now she was a journalist, she now had a lot of work to do
She and her co workers would be leaving for a near by town the next day, to take record of the festival going on there

She sighed and dropped the book she was holding and then stormed into the room
Fred rallied around the waiting room in the hospital ward, worried sick about his wife in the labour room

Well yes, Sochima was now his wife. After the divorce, she found out she was already carrying a child for him, and they decided to make it formal

She had already had the baby, yes. The baby was a girl and now about a year old
He had left her in the care of a nanny and ran down to the hospital

Sochima was pregnant again, and already due to having the baby
But now the complications were much, the baby seem not to be forthcoming, it was really problem

He had waited in the waiting room for about two hours, then the doctor came out, followed by a nurse

“Doctor what’s the problem now?”, he asked

The doctor sighed
“Just meet me in the office later on today, there’s a lot to discuss”, and he left.   ©️

Sochina – Episode 26

Theme: My Only Sister

FRED sat comfortably on the sofa in the sitting room and busied himself watching the evening news, as he patiently waited for Sochima to be done with the meals

Well, yes, Sochima had begun living with them. Since the death of her parents, a lot had happened and a lot had changed

Annette had resumed school, and Sochima had relocated to Lagos and begun living with them, since she couldn’t stay alone

Talking of the accident, how exactly had it happened?

Mr and Mrs Chike had embarked on a journey to a neighbouring town for the burial function of a friend

Sochima had pleaded to go with them, but they had vehemently refused stating she was still young for that

In disappointment and reluctance, she agreed to stay at home. In fact, that fateful Friday, she had gone visiting Favy, Fred’s sister

Burial concluded and they set out on their way home, they hadn’t travelled a long distance when out of the blues, came an oncoming trailer in full speed and hooting so loudly

Mr Chike tried moving on to the other lane, but it was not safe, cars were moving
He swivelled to the left, there was a big ditch. He was now at lost on what to do

Panic flew in, the trailer was still coming on high speed. Before they could say Jack Robinson, the trailer and their car had an head-on collision, with the trailer smashing into the car with full force

It was so devastating as the car caught up with fire instantly
It was so sorry, the accident claimed their lives

Though it was about two years since it occurred, the incident couldn’t be easily cleaned off from their minds

Sochima packed down to Lagos and began staying with them, while Annette with all encouraging words from her husband, resumed school

Life had gone on

Sochima soon walked into the dining and announced the food was ready

“Uncle Fred”, she called

Fred looked up at her

“The food’s ready now”, she said

Fred smiled and nodded
“Thanks”, he shortly replied

Sochima slightly nodded and turned, then walked out of the sitting room

Fred watched her as she left, she’s really grown, not the little girl he had known the period he began falling in love with her sister

He watched her leave and nodded to the fact that she’s really grown into a beautiful woman
Fair complexioned unlike Annette, round face and large hypnotizing eyes
She was putting on just a vest and shorts, giving him a clear view of her
He smiled

He looked around to be sure someone wasn’t watching him, well who dared does that? No one except the both of them were at home
As for Annette, she was in school where she studies journalism

He smirked and stood up,then headed towards the dining
Annette came out of the library where she had gone to read for the evening when someone called out to her

She turned and on seeing the caller, she sighed

How many times had she told this guy that she’s married and therefore not in the position and mood to keep relationships?
She keeps on telling him, but he keeps on coming to her

Though it really hadn’t been easy for her, loosing her baby and parents almost simultaneously
But her husband had been her back bone, and an encouragement

Going back to school was never in her plan again, following the death of her parents, but Fred had nudged her to, her sister inclusive, and she had obliged

School with running a family wasn’t really easy, she goes to school during the week days and returned every weekend, to spend time with her husband

This had continued for two years now, and would soon all end

She waited up for her caller to walk up to her

“Hey Anne? Been looking around for ya”, he smiled

Annette sighed
“I’ve told you a lotta times before Nonso, I’m married. Why you still coming after me?”

Nonso laughed
“Because I know you’re lying to me”, he winked

Annette hissed
Why wouldn’t he thinks she’s lying? When she had married so early.
 When she’s got no wedding ring on her. Why not?
Her marriage had gone the way she never wanted, never

She looked at him
“Well I’m sorry to disappoint you but it’s the truth, I’m actually married. Ask around”

He licked his lips
“Well I think I should save up my energy for such nonsense”, he looked around, then turned to her, “I’m for real Anne, I’m not like all other fake guys. I’m for real, just give me a chance please”

She rolled her eyes
“I’m sorry”, she turned and left

He looked round again then walked up to her
“Anne?”, he called

“Don’t bring up this matter again Nonso, or you wouldn’t like what will come next after that”, she sternly warned and walked away
Fred covered up the plates after eating and left the dining, going to his room
The thought of Sochima, his wife’s sister hadn’t waved off his head, infact they didn’t seem to be waving away

He tried pushing the thought out of his head, but they kept coming in full force

Going to his room to retire for the night, he abruptly stopped by her room
The door was closed and he placed his ear on it, all he could hear was the showering of water, she seemed to be having her bath

Against his wish, he tried the door knob and it opened, then he stealthily walked in

Much to his surprise, very much to his surprise the first thing that greeted his eyes as soon as he entered the room was her nude body in the bath!

She had left the bathroom door opened, why not? She wasn’t expecting anyone

Fred looked at her with his mouth ajar, she was backing him, and so couldn’t see him

For minutes he stood there watching and drooling, she turned off the shower after bathing, and that was when he realized himself

He quickly turned back, and as stealthily as he came, he left

Fred couldn’t think straight since the moment he saw Sochima in the bath, he had been thinking dirty

He quickly took his bath and flopped on the bed
Sleep couldn’t elude him and he knew why?

“What am I doing?”, he asked himself
Why was he thinking this way?

After about an hour of trying to catch a sleep, and it couldn’t come, he decided to go see her
After all, his wife wasn’t home. Besides who knew what she did herself at school

He shrugged and got up, then walked to Sochima’s room.

Sochina – Episode 21

Theme: My Only Sister

THE sounds of the cries of little children and walking feet across the marble floor filtered into Annette’s ears and her eyes flickered open

She was at daze about her surroundings as she looked round, everywhere was white
White walls, white curtains on the window, white ceiling and white bed she was lying on

For a moment she was confused and she racked her brain, trying to recollect what must have happened

Thanks it dawned on her, she remembered being attacked in her house, the door opening and then it was Fred

She didn’t know whatever happened afterwards, because she passed out

She must be in the hospital, she thought
She stirred and turned her head and she saw Fred, he was sitting on a couch close to the door

Fred noticed Annette stirred and he looked towards the bed, a smile played on his lips
At last, she was awake

She had passed out as soon as he entered the house, and he had immediately rushed her to the hospital

He stood up and walked to the bed

“Hi, you are awake”, he said

She sighed and nodded
“Yeah”

He smiled and took her left hand in his

“You will always be mine, no matter what happens”, he said softly

Annette was confused to hear that, she waved it off anyway
What she needed to know was how had he known she was in danger to have come to her rescue?
And what has become of the perpetrators?

She looked at him, the questions filled in her mouth but no idea on how to start it

Fred looked at her and smiled, he knew what was going on in her mind, he didn’t want her to bother herself about it, at least not now
He bent down and pecked her lips

“Don’t bother asking, all you need now is rest”, he whispered

Annette shook her head, she needed to know

“I must know, please tell me. How come you knew I was in danger, to have come and saved me?”

He sighed
“That’s really nothing for you to worry about”, he said

Actually there was no big deal on that, he had only just woken up that morning feeling uncomfortable bad
He decided to go check up on her

She shook her head
“Well what about the Timi and the rest? I’m now getting scared of her, no one knows what she’s up to. I just feel like leaving the cause of all these problem”, she looked up at him, “leaving you”, she said

His face changed
“You don’t solve a problem by running away from it okay? Anyways as regards them, they’ve all been expelled from the school, and apprehended by the police”

She heaved a sigh of relief
“That’s really good news, I want all these to be over”

“Of course it has. If only you don’t run away from your problem”

She looked at him and smiled, she knew what he meant. If she doesn’t leave him
Why would she?

She shook her head
“I won’t”

He smiled
“Now you are talking. Er…..”, he paused, scared to ask what he had in mind

“Go on”, she nudged him

He sighed
“Well I’m really sorry this has to happen to you, not only had it happened, it happened just three days to my graduation”

She smiled, she got what he’s trying to say
“Well, it’s….it’s nothing though, I’ll be fine soon”

“Of course I know that. But would you be able?”

She was confused
“Sorry, able to what?”

“As regards what we discussed. My special present, would I be able to get it that day?”

A smile played on her face, she nodded
“Of course, for you”

His eyes widened
“You serious? Are you sure you can?”

“Yeah”

He couldn’t believe his ears, he was so happy
“Thank you”, he kissed the back of her palm

“Welcome”

“So, I think I should go get you something, you must be really famished now”

She laughed
“Yeah, please do”

“Sure”, he pecked her forehead, “I’ll be right back”, and he turned and left the ward

Fred walked up to Annette as she sat on the sofa, her legs crossed and watching TV
She was sipping wine along

“Hey dear, bath ready”, he said and then bent forward to peck her on the cheek

She smiled
“Thanks Fred”, she looked at herself, “I can’t believe I’m still on my party dress”, they laughed

“It was really weary, I mean the day”, he waved his head

“Yeah”, she nodded and got up, they walked to the bathroom
“Well I can’t believe you’ve finally graduated today Fred”, she winked

He laughed
“You have to believe that baby”

They got to the bathroom
“Well I think you should leave now, let me have my bath”, she laughed

“Sure, just wanted to make sure you got here safely”, he winked

“You must be insane”

“Insane whenever I’m around you”, and he left

Annette got into the shower, and the water began pouring out

Fred walked into the kitchen and began dishing out the food he had earlier bought

It was his graduation day, the day he graduated from the higher I, and so they had just been no time even for cooking

He smiled as he remembered seeing his parents and little sister all hale and hearty, Annette’s mom had joined them in coming to celebrate with him

As for him and Annette, they would be returning home for the holidays the next day

After dishing out the food, he placed it in a tray and carried it to the dining, then he returned to the kitchen
He opened the refrigerator and brought out a can of tuna and two packs of juice. Then he took them to the dining

By the time he got to the dining, Annette was also coming in, finished bath, and was putting on his t-shirt

“Finished bathing?”, he asked

Annette looked at him
“No, I’m still bathing”, she shoved back a chair and sat

“But you look sweet in that t-shirt of mine”

She smiled
“Thanks. Wow, we have a lot for dinner”

“Yeah”, he sat down

“I can’t wait to devour these”, she made to take a plate from the piled up, and he stopped her

“You are my guest aren’t you? Let me do that”, he said

She shrugged and allowed him
She watched him serve the food onto the plates, poured some juice into the cups, and they began eating

Silence reigned as they watered their gullets

Suddenly the event of yesterday night, came playing in her head, how she was almost raped and then the sudden appearance of those boys, and her escape

Who were those boys? And how had she escaped without them knowing?
She looked at Fred, she wanted to tell him, but decided against that

“Hope you enjoying the food?”, Fred broke into her thoughts

She looked at him and replied with a start
“Oh yeah, very well”, she smiled

“I wanted so”, he took a piece of chicken from his plate and put it in hers, “so tell me what’s going on in that young mind of yours?”

She was shocked. How did he know her mind is really troubled at the moment
She sighed, as she played with her cutleries

“I’m all ears”, he pressed on

She looked at him, should she tell him?
“Well, I….. I was attacked yesterday night on my way home”

Fred nodded
“I know that”

She looked at him, eyes widened
“You know that? How do you mean?”, she asked startled

He sighed
“I mean I know. He wanted to rape you right?”

What! She was flabbergasted, how did he knew?

“How……how did you know?”

He laughed
“I had you followed. I mean you can’t go home alone on such hour”

What!
He had her followed? She was pissed off now
She dropped her cutleries

“You mean you did that?”

“Yeah, because I know very well that you won’t let me do that if I asked you, so I took you unawares, I sent those guys”

Huh? Those boys were sent by him? How interesting it sounds
She was speechless, all she could do was watch him in awe

“My God”, she said, her left hand on her chest

“Well I’m sorry for not telling you, but it saved you”

She nodded in agreement, it really did saved her

“Yeah it did. Thanks”, she looked away in shyness

He smiled, he dropped his cutleries and stared at her
“Anne?”, he called

“Yes?”, she looked up at him

He sighed
“I’m really sorry for all the things you were going through because of me, yeah, I’m really sorry”

She smiled, he was sorry? That was good to hear

“Um…. thanks anyway”

He nodded
“Don’t worry about anything again ok?”

She nodded
“I’m only worried how I’ll be staying alone in school without you, now that you’ve finally graduated”, she twisted her lips

He lowly laughed
“That’s no problem Anne ok? It’s no problem. Come on”, he took a spoonful of rice and directed it towards her mouth

Annette watched in fear as Fred advanced towards her, his shirt off
She really wasn’t sure if what she’s to do, she only knew she was giving him the present; the special present

He made her lie her back on the bed and then he laid on top of her

“I’m gonna be easy on you ok?”, he whispered softly into her ears, then he began bitting at it

She nodded, she was heavily panting like she ran a marathon

He slowly took off the t-shirt she was putting on, and she wore no inner wears
Huh?
She’s gradually becoming nude in front of him

She closed her face with her hands in shame, he saw her did this and smiled
Then he removed her hands and brought his lips closer to hers, their tongues rolled against each other and she felt the moisture in his tongue, it tasted of apple juice

He stopped the kiss and moved his mouth to her left nipple, she cringed as he suckled at it

He took his hands to her v area and instantly slipped two of his fingers through the panties

“Arrgh”, she screamed, it was painful

Gosh! She was too tight
Then he began thrusting his fingers in and out
She gasped

So this was it? This was the feeling? Pains and nothing else

His tongue rolled all over her body, her eyes, her ears, her mouth, her contours and she couldn’t help but cringe at every of the sensitive touch

These all went on for almost an hour or so, has she thought, then he abruptly stopped and looked into her eyes, they’re closed

He sighed
“Should I come in now?”, he asked

What! Was he asking her?
She kept mute, she didn’t say anything

And the next minute she felt him inside of her, as he slowly penetrated
Gosh! It was painful as he found it difficult in entering

He gently rubbed against her v area, a moan escaped her lips
Then with all the force he could muster, he penetrated into her

He couldn’t ride her throughout the night as he had wished he could
It was her first time and all she needed was rest

He tucked her properly into the duvet and she slept off instantly.

As for him and Annette, they would be returning home for the holidays the next day

After dishing out the food, he placed it in a tray and carried it to the dining, then he returned to the kitchen
He opened the refrigerator and brought out a can of tuna and two packs of juice. Then he took them to the dining

By the time he got to the dining, Annette was also coming in, finished bath, and was putting on his t-shirt

“Finished bathing?”, he asked

Annette looked at him
“No, I’m still bathing”, she shoved back a chair and sat

“But you look sweet in that t-shirt of mine”

She smiled
“Thanks. Wow, we have a lot for dinner”

“Yeah”, he sat down

“I can’t wait to devour these”, she made to take a plate from the piled up, and he stopped her

“You are my guest aren’t you? Let me do that”, he said

She shrugged and allowed him
She watched him serve the food onto the plates, poured some juice into the cups, and they began eating

Silence reigned as they watered their gullets

Suddenly the event of yesterday night, came playing in her head, how she was almost raped and then the sudden appearance of those boys, and her escape

Who were those boys? And how had she escaped without them knowing?
She looked at Fred, she wanted to tell him, but decided against that

“Hope you enjoying the food?”, Fred broke into her thoughts

She looked at him and replied with a start
“Oh yeah, very well”, she smiled

“I wanted so”, he took a piece of chicken from his plate and put it in hers, “so tell me what’s going on in that young mind of yours?”

She was shocked. How did he know her mind is really troubled at the moment
She sighed, as she played with her cutleries

“I’m all ears”, he pressed on

She looked at him, should she tell him?
“Well, I….. I was attacked yesterday night on my way home”

Fred nodded
“I know that”

She looked at him, eyes widened
“You know that? How do you mean?”, she asked startled

He sighed
“I mean I know. He wanted to rape you right?”

What! She was flabbergasted, how did he knew?

“How……how did you know?”

He laughed
“I had you followed. I mean you can’t go home alone on such hour”

He had her followed? She was pissed off now
She dropped her cutleries

“You mean you did that?”

“Yeah, because I know very well that you won’t let me do that if I asked you, so I took you unawares, I sent those guys”

Huh? Those boys were sent by him? How interesting it sounds
She was speechless, all she could do was watch him in awe

“My God”, she said, her left hand on her chest

“Well I’m sorry for not telling you, but it saved you”

She nodded in agreement, it really did saved her

“Yeah it did. Thanks”, she looked away in shyness

He smiled, he dropped his cutleries and stared at her
“Anne?”, he called

“Yes?”, she looked up at him

He sighed
“I’m really sorry for all the things you were going through because of me, yeah, I’m really sorry”

She smiled, he was sorry? That was good to hear

“Um…. thanks anyway”

He nodded
“Don’t worry about anything again ok?”

She nodded
“I’m only worried how I’ll be staying alone in school without you, now that you’ve finally graduated”, she twisted her lips

He lowly laughed
“That’s no problem Anne ok? It’s no problem. Come on”, he took a spoonful of rice and directed it towards her mouth

Annette watched in fear as Fred advanced towards her, his shirt off
She really wasn’t sure if what she’s to do, she only knew she was giving him the present; the special present

He made her lie her back on the bed and then he laid on top of her

She nodded, she was heavily panting like she ran a marathon

AS soon as Annette left the garden, they prepared to leave. Her parents and sister walked to the car, and she joined them immediately

Fred’s mother stood by to see them off. Annette walked up to her and embraced her

“Thanks Mom, thank you for the care”, she said

“Ohh my daughter, it’s nothing ok, it’s nothing”

“All the same, God bless you”

“Amen my daughter”

She opened her mouth to talk more and she saw Fred approaching, instantly she walked into their car

Her father and sister were already sitted, soon her mom came in and they drove off, waving at the people who came to see them off

Fred saw the way Annette quickly went into the car on seeing him, and he knew he was the reason, he was sad

What has he done to warrant such treatments from her? What?

He sadly watched as the car drove out of the compound. His mother saw him in that mood and walked up to him

“Freddie, what’s wrong?”, she asked, placing her hand on his cheek

He sighed and ran his hands through his hair, he really didn’t know what to say, he didn’t know what he should reply

Sarah heaved a sigh, and stood arms akimbo
“Is it because of Annette?”, she asked

He looked at his mother and nodded
“She……. she’s not treating me fine”

“You are the cause”, she said

He looked at her inquiringly, Annette had just told him he was the cause, now his mother is saying the same thing, how does she know?

“Do…….do you know Timi?”, he asked

Sarah looked dazed and confused, who was Timi?

“Who’s Timi?”, she asked

Fred was taken aback by her question, he thought he knew her, because she was the root of all these problem

He shook his head

“That’s your problem. As regards saying you are the cause Annette is behaving the way she’s towards you, Favy had told me everything. Her friend Sochi, told her. You were once her crush, I said once because she doesn’t seem to like you anymore. When she was dying to have you, all you were doing was going after her friend, now you want her she doesn’t want you”

Fred looked at her in shock, he never knew or realized Annette liked him, he never knew
He was utterly shocked

“But mum, I never knew”

“Oh yes because you never wanted to”

What was he gonna do now? His heart was already ripping in two

“What do you suggest I do mom?”

“Do? Approach her”

“But that’s what I’ve been trying to do, she’s not giving me her time”, he complained

He sighed
“She told me herself that when she was being attacked, she was told to keep off Timi’s boyfriend and……..I’m the one obviously”

His mother was now confused
“Timi’s boyfriend? But you just said she’s your ex, oh! She’s trying to get you back, she’s obviously the one behind the attack”

Fred knew it already, he knew she’s the one, but that wasn’t what they were talking about

“Mom let’s for……”

“I must get to the root of this”, she interrupted, “goodness gracious! I will find out who this Timi is”, she turned and left, leaving Fred in shock as he watched her leave

He hoped Timi never had a hand in it, else……
He shrugged and went into the house

Timi looked at her wristwatch and sighed, she was almost behind the time she has scheduled to leave for Fred’s place

She locked up the house and rushed to the road to board a cab, then straight to Fred’s, without even bothering to stop at the shop first, Fred was more important

She got there in a jiffy, and walked to the gigantic gate, wondering how she would go in

She knew she couldn’t come in as Fred’s girlfriend, following his warnings to stay off him, and there was no other way to go in, she decided to text him

She sat on the pavement guarding the flowers planted beside the fence, and waited for him

Fred walked out of the dining, he just had breakfast, so late
Why not?
Annette had been a source of problem and concern to him, he has spent a lot of his time thinking on how best to accost her

He was about going into his room when his phone rang, he looked into it and hissed
It was Timi

Wait! What does she want now?
Could it be, she is the one behind Annette’s attack two nights ago?

Hmm, even if she was the one,he definitely wasn’t gonna handle her, he wasn’t prepared for that
Moreover he wasn’t prepared to take laws into his hands

He made to ignore the call and open the door, when it stopped ringing and then a message notification popped out

He knew she was the one, he opened the text though against his wish, what he saw made him cringed

“Please Fred listen to me, come and meet me outside your house, I’m presently there”, the text read

What was the she-devil doing there? He groaned and went out to meet her

After sending the text, Timi waited for him to come out, she knew he would

Soon she heard the iron gate clicking open, and she got up
The gate opened and Fred came out

“What are you doing here?”, he thundered, “hadn’t I warned you to stay away from me?”

Timi’s face fell
“Yes you did, but I’m sorry. You need to hear me out Fred, I ….. I wasn’t cheating on you as you said”

Fred looked at her in disgust
“So?”

Timi sighed
“You have to listen to me okay? Peter or whatever he’s called, is not my boyfriend”

“And how am I sure you aren’t lying?”

“I’m not, believe you me……. please”, she rubbed her palms together, pleading

Fred sighed
Was she saying the truth?
Even if it’s the truth, he doesn’t need her anymore, the whole incident had made him realized Annette was one in a million, a gold mine

Ohh talking about the incident, he looked at her
“You aren’t only having affairs aside us, you also sent some hoodlums to attack Annette”

She freezed, jeeze!
How come he knew? She made an expressionless face

“I wasn’t the one who planned that”, she shook her head

He looked her over, she was still lying

“I should have known you were nothing but a blatant liar”

Timi was stunned
“I wasn’t…… I know who planned it, I know who had full hand in this”

“What? You mean to tell me it wasn’t you?”

She nodded
“Yes, it wasn’t me”

There was silence for a while, as Fred digested the information

“Who then?”, he asked

She sighed and folded her hands
“I will only tell you on one condition”, she walked closer to him, covering the distance between them

He was just looking at her in disgust, what was she trying to do?
“What condition?”

She seductively placed her right hand on his cheeks, then she ran her fingers round his face

“That you accept me back”, she said

“You are not serious, get off me”, he pushed her away

“Ahh, don’t you wanna know again?”

He was panting heavily, not because he ran, but because he was very angry, very angry

“I can’t accept you back. If that’s the condition then leave the matter, I don’t care”, he turned to leave

“Wait……wait”, she called dragging him back
“Fred please listen to me. Okay I’ll tell you the perpetrator, because I still very much love you, I will”

He stopped and looked at her
Love indeed, he made a face

“It’s Cynthia”, she said

What!
Cynthia? He couldn’t believe it
Cynthia can’t do that to Annette, moreover they are friends at the church though, so how would she want to harm her, because of him?
No, he didn’t believe her

“You know what? You are the devil’s wife I must say, you know how to lie”

She laughed
“You think I’m lying, okay. Investigate it, I know she’s your friend so find out”

Fred shook his head in negotiation
“Annette and Cynthia are friends, so why would she want to harm her friend because of me? Besides I never told her Annette’s my girlfriend, so why would she launch an attack on her?”

Timi became dazed and confused, she never knew Cynthia and Annette were friends, and she never told her who the person they would be attacking is

Ohh Jesus, problem
How would she handle this now? How?

Fred just stared at her in hate, she turned searching for what more to say, and she saw her

Yes, it was Cynthia, she saw Cynthia coming towards them, and then she knew she was doomed

Annette looked round, everywhere looked strange and she wondered where she was
Where was she? And how did she get there?
She was confused

Moreover she really couldn’t remember what happened, the only thing she remembered was that she was attacked, and then….. and then someone walked up to her calling her name, and she passed out on his hands, without knowing who the person was

She turned to Fred
“Where am I? What am I doing here?”, she rushed her words

Fred smiled
“Calm down, you are in my house, and you are receiving treatments”

Annette was dazed, she tried to sit up but Fred held her back

“No no, you can’t. See”, he pointed to the wall on her left hand side, “you are on drip, just have rest ok?”, he tried to lay her back on the bed, but she refused

“I don’t need your help”, she said

Fred sighed, what was wrong with this girl?

“Well, you….. you were actually attacked”

Annette looked at him
Who asked him to tell her? Did she say she doesn’t know?

“And so?”, she said

Fred was taken aback, he opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted
His eyes caught cars coming in through the gate, he saw this from the window

“Annette, how are you? What happened? Oh my God, who did this to you?”, she cried out

Annette couldn’t say anything, she just watched like a maroon

“Annette”, her father called and took hold of her hand, to feel her pulse
He didn’t say much, he just looked her over, and then walked out

“Sister, what happened?”, Sochima asked, looking at her sister

Annette heaved a sigh of relief

“I know you guys have a lotta questions for me, but I’m sorry I can’t provide the answers”, she paused
“The only thing I have to say is that you should thank Fred for me, he was the one that rescued me”, she said

They turned to look at Fred, his face was expressionless

“Your mother told me same thing too”, Vera said, “thank you so much”

Fred smiled

“Get prepared, we will be leaving with you ok?”, and she left the room

“Thanks uncle Freddie”, Sochima said, walking over to sit on the bed

“Yes, I was just on my own and she came and told me about another girl saying she’s the one in the way, and requested to…..to execute her”

Mummy C sighed
“What’s her name?”

“Timilayo”

She jotted it down

“This is enough for now, let me get down to work. I must stop at nothing to see the stinking penis of that guy cut to pieces”, she got up
“But that doesn’t stop you from receiving your own punishment, you will learn not to be heartless”, and she walked out of the room

She flinched and moved away from him

She made a face. What does he want?

“Yeah, how can I help you?”, she asked

Annette looked at him, head to toe, in disgust
She folded her hands

“Why do you want to know?”

“Because your affairs matters to me”, he said

She laughed
“Indeed. Well if you must know how it’s your fault, I was asked to keep off Timi’s boyfriend and who’s her boyfriend, you!”, and she walked away leaving Fred in shock.

Sochina – Episode 14

Theme: My Only Sister

AS soon as Annette withdrew her hand, Fred became stunned, what was wrong with her?
He shrugged, waving it off

“You are awake at last Anne”, he said smiling

Annette looked round, everywhere looked strange and she wondered where she was
Where was she? And how did she get there?
She was confused

Moreover she really couldn’t remember what happened, the only thing she remembered was that she was attacked, and then….. and then someone walked up to her calling her name, and she passed out on his hands, without knowing who the person was

She turned to Fred
“Where am I? What am I doing here?”, she rushed her words

Fred smiled
“Calm down, you are in my house, and you are receiving treatments”

Annette was dazed, she tried to sit up but Fred held her back

“No no, you can’t. See”, he pointed to the wall on her left hand side, “you are on drip, just have rest ok?”, he tried to lay her back on the bed, but she refused

“I don’t need your help”, she said

Fred sighed, what was wrong with this girl?

“Well, you….. you were actually attacked”

Annette looked at him
Who asked him to tell her? Did she say she doesn’t know?

“And so?”, she said

Fred was taken aback, he opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted
His eyes caught cars coming in through the gate, he saw this from the window
They were home, and Annette would be going soon, he felt bad

He turned to her
“Do you know the people that attacked you?”, he asked

She looked into space, trying to recall. She obviously didn’t know any of them

Instantly the door opened, and her family entered
Fred turned to them

“Mummy Annette, good afternoon”, he greeted, “good afternoon Mr Chike”,

“Afternoon son. How are you?”, Vera asked and walked up to Annette

“Annette, how are you? What happened? Oh my God, who did this to you?”, she cried out

Annette couldn’t say anything, she just watched like a maroon

“Annette”, her father called and took hold of her hand, to feel her pulse
He didn’t say much, he just looked her over, and then walked out

“Sister, what happened?”, Sochima asked, looking at her sister

Annette heaved a sigh of relief

“I know you guys have a lotta questions for me, but I’m sorry I can’t provide the answers”, she paused
“The only thing I have to say is that you should thank Fred for me, he was the one that rescued me”, she said

They turned to look at Fred, his face was expressionless

“Your mother told me same thing too”, Vera said, “thank you so much”

Fred smiled
“It’s nothing ma’am, it’s nothing. It was my pleasure”

Vera nodded
“Get prepared, we will be leaving with you ok?”, and she left the room

“Thanks uncle Freddie”, Sochima said, walking over to sit on the bed

Fred smiled
“No prob Sochi. Er Annette?”, he called

Annette looked at him

“I’ll be leaving now, get well soon”, he winked and walked away

“Who were you talking to?”, Timi’s mom, popularly called and known as Iya Timi, asked her

Timi was visibly shaken, had her mother known?
Had she heard her conversation?

“A friend mother”, she tried to look normal

Her mother looked her over, suspiciously

“You know I always never fail to get to the root of anything”, she said, “it better be a friend”, she opened the door and left

As soon as she left, Timi heaved a sigh of relief, she thought her mother had listened to her
God! She would have been a dead meat

Her mind lingered to what Emenike just told her and she jumped up in joy and landed on the bed

She was extremely happy, Fred was hers and none else
As for Cynthia, her case was an easy one, she knows how to handle that

“Ahhh”, she exclaimed, placing her hand on her chest, “so he’s mine at last”, she winked

She was gonna pay him a visit the next day, yeah, she has to act very fast else, another girl comes in the lane

Mummy C sat down beside Cynthia on the bed, she was holding a pen and paper

“Give me the address where the uncompleted building is located”, she said

Cynthia hesitated, she had been warned and threatened, never to tell anybody, except if she wants her death

“Are you deaf?”, her mother thundered and she shivered

“No 12 complex city street, it’s the only building on that street”, she said

She jotted down the details and turned to her, probably to get more information

“You said you were there for the execution or something right?”

She nodded

“Good. From the look of things you said, you aren’t the only person involved in this, I mean you said it was someone who made you do it right?”

“Yes, I was just on my own and she came and told me about another girl saying she’s the one in the way, and requested to…..to execute her”

Mummy C sighed
“What’s her name?”

“Timilayo”

She jotted it down

“This is enough for now, let me get down to work. I must stop at nothing to see the stinking penis of that guy cut to pieces”, she got up
“But that doesn’t stop you from receiving your own punishment, you will learn not to be heartless”, and she walked out of the room

Cynthia cried, see what problem she had put herself into, because of a boy

She never wanted to expose Timi, because to her Timi never meant any harm, moreover she was just helping her out

She would tell her mom later on that Timi was never a problem, yes, but that would be later
Then she would try pay Fred a visit the next day, thank God her mom won’t be around

Annette was now fresh from drip and walking about
Though the plasters were still on her body, but she was fit

After taking lunch with the whole family, she went outside towards the garden
They were still at Fred’s house

She got to the garden and walked on the terrace, stroking the flowers her hands could reach, her mind was miles away, it was filled with thoughts of the day she was attacked

Then she felt a touch on her waist and she turned at the instant, it was Fred

What!
She flinched and moved away from him

“Hi”, he smiled

She made a face. What does he want?

“Yeah, how can I help you?”, she asked

Fred shook his head, she’s playing hard maybe

“I was asking you something before, about your attackers?”

Oh! She looked into space
“Yeah”

“So what do you know about it?”

Why does he want to know?
Hmm

“It’s your fault, you caused it”, she said pointing at him, and then she turned to leave

Fred was stunned, his fault? How?

“Hey please wait”, he rushed to stop her, placing his hand on her shoulder

She abruptly turned, and slowly removed his hand from her shoulder

“What’s it?”, she asked

Fred sighed, her blood was so hot

“Calm down okay. But please make me understand, how’s it my fault? Please tell me, I want to know”

Annette looked at him, head to toe, in disgust

Sochina – Episode 8

Theme: My Only Sister

DEJECTED, Timi watched Fred slowly drove away, and out of her sight
She became sad, who is behind all these?? She asked herself, racking her brain to come to a conclusion

Then it hit her, it’s either Peter or Annette, but obviously Annette, she’s the root of it

So he had finally known what she’s been hiding from him, he had known what she’s

She took a last look at the route Fred took, and slowly walked away

She reached her mom’s supermarket and opened up, then went to sit down to think up what next to do

Not up to few minutes has she settled down on a seat, someone came into the shop

She looked at the person to know if it’s a customer, but obviously not and the face looks familiar

Then it hit her, oh! It was the girl at the patent store opposite where she and Fred just vacated
What was she here for?

Cynthia, the girl that attended to Fred at the patent store vividly saw all that transpired between Fred and a girl, just in front of her

So the girl was the reason he’s been behaving the way he does towards her, towards a girl willing to give herself to him

“I mean, who in his right senses, wouldn’t want a girl willing to give her whole self to him?”, she asked herself, “it must have been this girl I saw the both of them ranting here, she must be the reason he’s been avoiding me, yes”, she said, walking about the store

From what she heard them talking, he was asking her to stay away from him, meaning he’s free now

But no doubt, the girl wouldn’t just let him be, she must have something in mind to do

She nodded her head, smirking

“I need to stop her”, she said

But hold on, she doesn’t even know her, but she looks familiar

She racked her brain to think
Oh yes, she normally bypasses every morning, the girl running the big supermarket over the street, yes it’s her

She decided to go talk to her. She walked out of the store and hurriedly walked to the supermarket, it was a popular one

Sochima hurriedly scuttled into the house, apparently looking out for Annette

She saw her bent over the dining table, playing with a teddy

“Hey big sis?”, she called walking up to her

Annette turned her head to the direction of the voice calling, she was still bent over the table

“Sochi?”, she called smiling

Sochima got to her and stopped, hands akimbo

“What’s really going on between you and Fred?”, she asked

Annette was confused, looking dazed

“What do you mean?”

Sochima sighed
“I mean, you and Fred, you are supposed to be together, but what I saw about four days ago…”, she paused and folded her hands, “it scared the hell outta me”, she said

Annette was astonished, her eyes wide open

“What did you see?”, she asked

“I saw him, I mean Fred and that ‘tolotolo’ at Ultimate Frisbee, when mom and I went to visit her friend, I think they were on a date”

Annette’s heart skipped a beat, she stood up erect

“The both of them?”, she asked, her voice seemed to be breaking

Sochima noticed it
“Yeah, I remember you telling me something about him asking you for her contact, so I think they’re dating”, she said

Annette slowly looked away from her, and into space
She was lost in thought

If they visited Ultimate Frisbee as her sister said, four days ago, then why Peter coming to ask her who Fred was? Or why the dream she had few days ago?
It was both meaningless, if they’re still together

“Well, he doesn’t love me”, she snapped

Sochima looked at her
“What do you mean by that?”

“Yes, he doesn’t love me, I’m the only one who does”

“I don’t see it like that big sis”, Sochima concurred
“I see it like he really hasn’t noticed you”

“What do you mean?”

“Who would see this black beauty I’ve got for a sister, with all the curves in the right places, and still go after that turkey?”, Annette bursted into laughter

“Or is it because she’s fair, and always like to be noticed wherever she goes?”, Sochima continued

Annette laughed
“You have to stop that Sochi, it’s enough”, she laughed

“Well, as for me I believe he just hasn’t noticed you, that’s all”

“He just doesn’t love me”

Sochima looked at her
“I think you want us to go for a test”, she said

“Huh? What test?”

“To know if he doesn’t loves you or he just hasn’t noticed you”

“So how would you achieve that?”

“We will go to their house, you know aunty Sarah, his mom admires you a lot. She would be of help”

Annette thought for a while, what was this girl talking about?
She decided to let her have her way

“Well let’s give it a try”

Sochima smiled
“That’s just it, a try”, she smiled
 to what the girl has to say

“Yeah? Who are you and what do you want?”, she asked, her hands folded

Cynthia just had her eyeballs staring daggers at her, if eyes could kill, Timi would have long been dead

“I just want you to stay away from Fred, he’s for me”, she whispered and walked away

Timi was stunned for a second, what was she trying to say

Then she laughed out
Who was this one? They’re talking about important people in the play, and this one without head nor tail popped out
She laughed again

What can this one do? She hissed

But a thought came to her, the girl might be of help. Who knows? Yes, she gonna help
She smiled and followed her

They got to the patent store together and Cynthia was shocked to see her

“What are you doing here?”, she barked

Timi smiled
“You came to my shop minutes ago, so I’m here too”

“What do you want?”, Cynthia shouted

Timi was taken aback. Hot blooded

“Chill okay, I’ve not come to kill you”, she smiled

Cynthia looked at her with suspicious eyes. What does she want now?

“So what do you want?”

“Hey, your blood looks hot, just chill and listen to what I have to say”

Cynthia sighed
“I’m listening”

Timi thought, how she gonna bring up the discussion?

“What relationship do you have with Fred?”, she finally asked

Cynthia looked at her
“Excuse me?”

Timi shook her head
“I want to help ok? I want to help, just tell me what I want to know”

Cynthia hesitated for a while

“Okay, he’s my boyfriend”, she lied

Timi laughed in her mind
Boyfriend indeed, Fred doesn’t have any other girl. She’s probably one of his admirers, she knew the girl was lying

“Okay I ask because….. I guess you must have seen him talking to me about an hour ago?”, she asked

Cynthia nodded
“Yes”

“Okay, that wasn’t me. I mean he wasn’t referring to me. He’s actually interested in a friend of mine, and I was trying to talk things with him”

Cynthia didn’t believed her

“Trying to talk things with him for your friend or what?”, she asked

Timi smiled, this girl wasn’t a daft, but she’s not a daft herself

“My friend whom he likes made him mad, I was trying to calm him down”

Cynthia nodded, she was becoming at ease with her now

“So what next?”, she asked

Timi sighed, smoothing her hair

“That my so called friend made me annoyed, and I can see you want him, I mean Fred, so I want us to come together to put her out of the way”

Cynthia was confused

“I still don’t understand”

Timi looked around, to be sure there wasn’t a third party,  then walked closer to her and whispered

“Let’s kill her”

Cynthia quickly moved back, she was shocked.
