Days passed, followed by weeks, and Sofia dropped by her family’s house for a visit. As she walked in, her family’s faces lit up with warm smiles.

“How is the baby doing?” Diana asked, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

“Do you guys care about the baby or me?” she asked, feigning a frown, a playful pout on her lips.

Her family chuckled, and Lucas reassured her, “Of course, we care about you,” his voice filled with warmth.

“Well, the baby is fine and growing up every day,” she said, her eyes shining with pride.

“We can see that,” grandma said, smiling.

As they continued eating, Lucas brought up the topic of Sofia’s upcoming wedding.

“By the way, Shawn stopped by two days ago to discuss the marriage process,” he said.

“Yeah, he told me,” she said, a small smile playing on her lips.

“Have you two decided on a date yet?” Grandma asked, her voice filled with anticipation.

“Not really, we’ll come up with a date soon,” she said, smiling reassuringly.

Her family smiled, seeming to accept her answer, and they continued eating, the atmosphere filled with warmth and love.

       *♥ SHAWN’S OFFICE*♥

Shawn was occupied with work in his office, his brow furrowed in concentration, when someone knocked on the door. He ushered the person in, still focused on his laptop.

“You seem busy,” Sofia said, a hint of amusement in her voice.

Shawn raised his face to hers quickly, surprised to see her standing in his office. A warm smile spread across his face. “Hey.”

Sofia moved closer to him, and Shawn pulled her onto his lap, his eyes crinkling at the corners.

“Why didn’t you tell me you were coming?” he asked, his voice filled with delight.

     “I wanted to surprise you.”

He kissed her cheek, his lips brushing against her skin. “I’m happy that you’re here.” They smiled at each other, their faces inches apart.

“I can see you’re busy. Let me sit over there and wait for you,” Sofia said, trying to stand up. But Shawn refused, his arms tightening around her.

“No, I’m not complaining. Besides, the work is almost done.”

“Then finish it, and I’ll wait.”Her eyes teased him.

“No, I need energy to continue.” He caught her chin, bringing it closer to his, and claimed her lips softly.

Sofia broke the kiss. “Shawn, this is an office. Someone might walk in.”

“No one will.” He dialed his PA’s number, his eyes never leaving Sofia’s face. “No one should come to my office, I am busy,” he said, his voice firm. He hung up, a sly smile spreading across his face.

“Now we’re free to do anything we want,” he said, his voice low and husky.

      ♥♥🔞🔞🔞🔞🔞♥♥

He started to caress her body, his fingers tracing the curves of her waist. He carried her to sit on the table, positioning himself between her legs. They started kissing passionately, their lips locked in a fiery embrace.

He slipped his hand under her thigh, and her eyes widened in surprise as she flinched. Her lips parted slightly, and her breath caught in her throat.

Shawn’s eyes gleamed with desire as his lips brushed against her neck. Sofia’s eyelids fluttered closed, and her head tilted slightly to the side, exposing more of her skin to his kisses.

He undid the buttons of her shirt, revealing her red br@ underneath. Her cheeks flushed with a mixture of embarrassment and ar+usal.

His lips traced the edge of her bra, and Sofia’s mouth opened in a soft m0an. Her eyes remained closed, and her breathing quickened as Shawn’s kisses sent shivers down her spine.

Her hands instinctively reached up to his shoulders, her fingers digging gently into his skin as she pulled him closer. Shawn’s eyes locked onto hers, his gaze burning with intensity as he deepened their kiss.

Sofia’s eyes fluttered open, and she gazed up at him. “Shawn, are we doing this here?” she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

She tried to control the pleasure that was building inside her, but her lips parted slightly, and her breathing quickened.

“I just need some energy to continue.” His voice was low and husky, and his eyes locked onto Sofia’s.

He claimed her lips, his mouth crashing down on hers in a passionate kiss. Her eyes closed, and her head tilted back, surrendering to the pleasure.

Hid hands were caressing her br3asts, his fingers tracing the curves of her body. Sofia’s n3ppl3s hardened, and she m+aned softly into his mouth.

His eyes burning with desire. He deepened the kiss, his tongue tangling with hers as they lost themselves in the passion of the moment.

Her eyes were closed, and her head was thrown back in ecstasy. Her m+ans grew a little louder as she felt Shawn’s hand on her cr3tch, his fingers applying gentle pressure.

Her lips were parted, and her breathing was rapid. Her chest rose and fell with each ragged breath.

“Shawn, please take me,” she pleaded, her lips parted slightly.

“Almost honey,” Shawn said, a sly smirk spreading across his face.

Sofia’s eyes widened in anticipation as Shawn bent between her legs, pulling her closer. His tongue made contact with her cr3tch, and her whole body vibrated with pleasure.

Her body arched, and she lay fully on the table, her limbs limp and relaxed. Her eyes remained closed, and her face was flushed with pleasure.

Shawn carried her to the sofa, He undo his trousers, and enter into her fully, Sofia gasped holding him tight as he started thrusting in and out of her with their lips exploring each other.

       ♠

Nina’s eyes widened in surprise, and her mouth dropped open as Sofia spilled the beans of what happened between her and Shawn in his office. Mabel’s face lit up with amusement, a sly grin spreading across her face.

“You guys did it right there in his office?” Nina asked, her voice laced with incredulity. Sofia nodded shyly, her cheeks flushing pink.

“Girl!” Mabel exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with mirth. Sofia blushed deeper, a radiant smile spreading across her face.

“It was amazing,” Sofia said, her voice barely above a whisper. Nina and Mabel burst out laughing.

“You guys are on fire!” Nina said, her eyes shining with excitement.

Just then, Rachel walked up to their table, a apologetic smile on her face.

“Sorry I’m late,” she said, sliding into an empty chair.

“That’s okay, hope the place wasn’t difficult to find?” Mabel asked.

    Rachel shook her head. “Nope.”

Nina offered her a drink. “You want a drink?”

Rachel nodded, fanning herself. “Yeah, the sun is too hot today.” She said and  noticed their drinks, her eyebrows shot up. “You guys are only down with water?” she asked, amused.

Mabel chuckled. “Yeah, guys’ rules; no drinking of any drink, only water.”

Rachel laughed. “Your men set that rule?” she asked, her eyes sparkling with mirth. Nina, Mabel, and Sofia nodded in unison.

“That’s cute,” Rachel said, smiling. “I guess I’ll have water as well, in order not to be different here.” She called the waiter over and ordered a glass of water, smiling at her friends.

“So, did you find the wedding planner?”Sofia’s eyes widened with excitement as she asked.

Rachel smiled, looking relieved, “Yes, I did. We met and we talked. He was recommended to me by a friend of mine, and she said he’s the best in wedding planning.”

Nina nodded. “Ok, that’s good.” The rest of the group murmured in agreement.

Rachel’s eyes sparkled with amusement, “I still can’t believe you three are having your wedding the same day.” The group shared a warm smile.

“So, can we meet the wedding planner?”Sofia leaned in, curiosity etched on her face.

Rachel nodded, “Yes, I’ve already booked an appointment with him. You ladies will be meeting with him tomorrow.”

The group chimed in unison, “Sure.”

They continued chatting, their faces filled with anticipation and excitement.

Later, after Shawn was done informing everyone about Sofia’s pregnancy, they couldn’t hide their joy. He left to his room and noticed the door was locked, his brow furrowing in confusion.

“Sofia!” he knocked, calling out to her. Sofia opened the door slightly, a scowl on her face, and threw a pillow at him. Shawn’s eyes widened in surprise, and he raised his hands to block the pillow. “What are you doing?” he asked, his face turning puzzled.

“You are sleeping on the couch today.” Her face Stern.

     “Why?”he asked curiously.

“That’s for getting me pregnant on purpose.” She slammed the door against him, and Shawn sighed tiredly, his face turning resigned.

He came to the living room, smiling wryly, and lay down on the couch, resting his head on the pillow.

Troy appeared from the staircase, a knowing glint in his eye. “Why are you sleeping on the couch, instead of cuddling your pregnant wife?” Shawn’s face turned sheepish. “Don’t tell me, I know, she chased you out of the room, right?” Troy teased, chuckling.

He nodded, his face turning amused. “Yeah.”

Troy laughed. “Let me guess, pregnancy hormones.” Shawn ignored him, closing his eyes. “Enjoy it, man. Good night.”

Troy left for his room, still laughing, and Shawn smiled, shaking his head.

Some hours later, Sofia came out of the room, looking sleepy. She walked to the living room and moved to Shawn on the couch, lying on top of him. Shawn opened his eyes, a warm smile spreading across his face as he saw her sleeping on his body.

“Silly you, who said you could sleep without me?” he whispered, his eyes crinkling at the corners.

He carried her in his arms like a baby, and they went inside the room.

    ________////_______////__________

The next morning, Sofia was still fast asleep in Shawn’s arms as he cuddled her warmly. There was a doorbell ringing, and one of the workers rushed to open the door to see Sofia’s family. She greeted them warmly and allowed them in.

Lucas looked around, his brow furrowed. “Are they still sleeping?”

Troy greeted them from the stairs, a friendly smile on his face. “Good morning.”

They turned to him, responding with a smile. Diana asked, “Where are Shawn and Sofia?”

Troy replied, “Probably they are still sleeping.”

Grandma’s face turned excited. “Aww! I just want to see my grandchild.”

Troy said, “Let me go and wake them up,” but Lucas stopped him.

“No need for that, we will wait,” Lucas said, and they sat down.

Then the doorbell rang again. Troy left to open the door to see Jeff, Nina, and Mabel together. The two ladies were holding balloons and gifts.

“Sup,” Jeff said, shoulder-hugging Troy, and they went inside.

Everyone greeted each other and sat down, chatting while waiting for Sofia and Shawn.

Meanwhile, in the bedroom, Sofia woke up to see Shawn cuddling her. She looked puzzled, wondering how he got there when she knew she had chased him out of the room last night. She pinched his cheek, and Shawn groaned in pain, opening his eyes.

“What are you doing on the bed with me? I thought I chased you out last night,” Sofia said, her brow furrowed.

Shawn smiled at her, his eyes sparkling with amusement. “Well, someone came to me last night and lay on me in the living room.” They sat upright on the bed, Sofia’s expression turning curious.

“Yeah, right!” She frowned and moved out of the bed. Shawn smiled at her, shaking his head.

“Aren’t you going to give me a morning kiss?” he asked.

She ignored him and turned to open the door, but it was locked. “Why is it locked?” she wondered.

Shawn smirked, holding up the keys. “You won’t go out until you give me my morning kiss. The keys are with me.”

She turned to him “Why did you lock the door?”

He stood up and moved to her, closing the gap between them. “If you want to go out, kiss me first.”

He leaned his face closer. Suddenly, She felt like throwing up. She pushed him aside and ran to the bathroom.

Shawn panicked and rushed to her, his face turning worried. He saw her throwing up and gently patted her back. After she was done, he helped her to the bathroom sink and washed her face, then carried her to the bed.

“I will get the workers to prepare something for you to eat,” he said, his expression turning concerned.

She shook her head weakly. “I am not hungry.”

Shawn caressed her face, noticing her temperature rising. “You need to eat something.” He kissed her lips softly. “I will call the doctor over, okay?” He left, and Sofia settled on the bed, looking pale.

Shawn came out of the room to see everyone in the living room chatting. Immediately they saw him, they rushed to him.

“Where is Sofia? Is she still sleeping?” Mabel asked, her brow furrowed.

“Um, she is awake and….” He couldn’t finish his words before the women left him, rushing to the room. The men stared after them, smiling.

“Congratulations, man,” Jeff said, clapping Shawn on the back.

Shawn smiled, looking relieved. “Thank you.”

Lucas smiled, his eyes shining with pride. “I am happy for you, son.”

The women surrounded Sofia in the room, smiling at her.

“Congratulations, my dear,” Diana said, beaming. Sofia smiled weakly, looking pale.

“Guess who is the upcoming mom in town,” Nina said, tying balloons by the sides of the bed.

Then the men came over, and the excitement continued. Diana left to prepare something special for Sofia.

Later in the evening, after everyone had left for their homes, Shawn entered the room with a fruit salad, a concerned expression on his face. He noticed Sofia wasn’t on the bed, but he could hear her throwing up in the bathroom. He hurriedly placed the fruit on the shelf and rushed inside the bathroom.

Shawn’s face turned worried as he bent to her, patting her back gently. After she was done and washing her face, he helped her to the bed.

“Are you feeling better?” he asked, caressing her face, his eyes filled with concern.

She smiled weakly. “Yeah, I am fine.”

Shawn’s expression turned thoughtful. “I brought you some fruit. Do you want some?”

Sofia nodded, and Shawn took the fruit salad from the shelf and started feeding her.

Sofia looked up at him, noticing the worried look on his face. “Why are you looking worried?” she asked.

Shawn’s brow furrowed. “You keep throwing up since morning.”

“Mom said it’s normal for a pregnant woman to throw up. She said with time it will stop.”

“But it’s making you look weak, and I don’t like seeing you like this.” He said.

“It’s gonna be fine. Mom said taking water every time helps prevent…”

His eyes lit up with excitement. “Hold on, let me get a paper and a pen so I can write it down.”

He moved to the drawer to get a paper and a pen and then came back to start jotting down notes. Sofia’s expression turned serious as she listed the foods she needed to eat.

“Mom said what I should eat whole fruits like: apples, berries, orange, mangoes, and bananas, then veggies like; broccoli, sweet potatoes, beets, okra, spinach, peppers, and jicama. Whole grains, like; brown rice, millet, oatmeal, bulgur, and whole-wheat bread. Proteins — like lean meats and chicken, eggs, seafood, beans and lentils, nuts and seeds, and tofu. Low-fat or fat-free dairy — like milk, yogurt, cheese, lactose-free dairy, and fortified soy beverages (soy milk) or soy yogurt. Oils — like vegetable oil, olive oil, and oils in foods like seafood, avocado, and nuts.”

Shawn’s face turned focused as he wrote everything down on the paper.

“Done,” he said, Smiling “I will ask the workers to get all these from the market. Is there anything else missing?”

She thought for a moment. “Snacks, like crackers and peanut butter.”

Shawn nodded, smiling. “Done.” He kissed her forehead, and they smiled at each other, their faces filled with love and concern.

Shawn drove into a new, complete building with Sofia and her family. They came down, wondering why they were there. Sofia’s brow furrowed in confusion.

“Shawn, why are we here?” Sofia asked, her voice laced with curiosity, along with her family.

Shawn’s expression turned mysterious. “Let’s go inside first.”

They went inside, and Diana’s eyes widened in awe. “Wow, this place is beautiful.”

The whole place was well-furnished with expensive interior design. Sofia’s curiosity got the better of her. “Is this your new home?” she asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

Shawn smiled, his eyes shining with excitement, and moved closer to Lucas. He handed over the house keys and some documents. “This is now your new home.”

The family’s eyes widened in shock, their faces frozen in surprise. Grandma’s jaw dropped.

“What?” Grandma grasped, her voice trembling.

Shawn’s smile broadened. “Yeah, do you like it?” he asked, his eyes scanning their faces.

The family was speechless, their faces still frozen in shock.

“Can you guys say something now, if you don’t like it…” Shawn started to say, but got interrupted.

Sofia’s face crumpled, and she hugged him tightly, sobbing. “Thank you,” she sniffed.

Shawn’s face lit up with a warm smile as he held her close. Lucas’s eyes welled up with tears.

“Thank you so much,” Lucas said, his voice tearful.

Diana’s face turned emotional, her eyes shining with tears. “We don’t deserve this.”

Grandma’s face turned thoughtful, her eyes filled with gratitude. “Why are you so nice to us after everything?”

Shawn’s expression turned tender. “Because I love your granddaughter.” He pulled away from her, caressing her face. “She means everything to me, and I will do anything to make her happy.” Sofia’s eyes shone with tears as she smiled at Shawn.

“Thank you so much, I don’t even know how to thank you enough for everything,” Lucas said, his voice filled with gratitude.

Shawn’s expression turned humble. “You don’t need to thank me. I should be thanking you for giving birth to your lovely daughter.” He smiled, his eyes filled with adoration. “I don’t know what I would have become without her in my life. I don’t need anything; all I need is her.”

The family’s faces softened, and Lucas nodded. “You have my blessing.”

Diana and Grandma chimed in, “Us too.”

Shawn’s face lit up with a warm smile. “Thank you.” He pulled Sofia into a warm hug, and the family smiled, hugging each other tightly.

An hour later, they settled in, and Diana prepared a mouth-watering meal with the help of Sofia to celebrate the new house. They all sat down in the living room, eating and smiling, when Troy, Mabel, Jeff, and Nina entered, smiling. Jeff was holding a bottle of champagne.

“I’m glad we made it in time,” Jeff said, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

Sofia stood up, a warm smile on her face, and rushed to hug Mabel and Nina. “Come on, you guys are right on time,” Lucas said, smiling.

Jeff and Troy moved to join them at the dining table. “This is for you,” Jeff said, handing over the champagne to Lucas.

Lucas’s face lit up with a warm smile. “Thank you.”

The ladies continued chatting secretly to each other while their men watched them with amusement.

“This place is so beautiful,” Nina said, her eyes wide with wonder.

“Hmm, you got the perfect man ever!” Mabel said, and they chuckled.

“I couldn’t ask for anything,” Sofia said, a satisfied smile on her face. “Do you know it has the largest pool ever, so I was thinking we could have a pool party,” she suggested.

Nina’s eyes sparkled with excitement. “That will be better.”

Mabel nodded in agreement. They continued chatting quietly, and their men kept gazing at them, including Sofia’s family.

“Are you sure they are aware we are having a meal down here?” Jeff asked, raising an eyebrow.

“What are they whispering about?” Shawn asked curiously, his eyes fixed on Sofia.

“They totally forgot we are here,” Troy said, chuckling, and they sighed, staring at the ladies.

“The food will get cold if we continue to wait for them,” Diana said, smiling.

Nina teased, “Do you have a room here, or Shawn didn’t allow that?” Sofia blushed, her face turning pink.

Just then, their men made a fake, loud clearing of their throats, and the ladies turned to them.

“We are still up here,” Troy said, grinning.

Nina’s face turned sheepish. “Um, oh, we totally forgot about that.”

The ladies left their huddle and returned to the dining table, seating themselves with their men. They started eating, and the dining table was filled with laughter and cheerfulness.

Sofia and Mabel returned back to school after six of them went to a three-day vacation in Miami. It was fun and a day to remember when Jeff finally proposed to Nina, and it was a great day for everyone as they celebrated and merry.

Sofia and Mabel were both seated in the hall, waiting for the professor to come teach. Mabel’s face lit up with a smile. “Is so good to be back.”

Sofia nodded in agreement, a hint of a smile on her face. “Yeah, two more years to go, so I can finally get a break from reading.”

Mabel chuckled. “Me too, I wish the vacation to Miami never ends.”

“Me too, it was fun, and most of all, I am so happy for Nina and Jeff. They are finally taking their relationship to the next level.” She said excitedly.

Mabel’s face turned dreamy. “Yeah, I want mine to be like that.”

Sofia smiled.”I can’t wait to be on my bridesmaid’s dress.”

They both chuckled, and then the professor entered. Everyone became calm and paid attention to him.

“Good day, everyone, hope we had fun on our holiday,” he asked, scanning the room with a warm smile.

The students nodded with a smile. “That’s good to know. I have an announcement to make: we are going for three days of camping this weekend, so prepare yourself.”

Sofia and Mabel’s eyes widened in surprise, their faces mirroring each other’s shock. “Camping? For three days?” they exclaimed in unison.

The professor smiled. “Have a nice day.” He walked away, and the place became rowdy as the students chatted about the camp.

    ★SHAWN’S MANSION★

Shawn’s face turned stern as Sofia broke the news to him over dinner. Troy was absent.

“Camping? For three days!” Shawn exclaimed, his voice laced with disapproval.

“Yes, we are going this weekend.”

His face turned unyielding. “You are not going, Sofia.”

Sofia’s eyes widened in surprise. “Not going? Why?”

“Three days is too long. You can’t go camping. I will be lonely.”His  jaw clenched.

Sofia chuckled. “Is just three days, you are sounding like it’s a year.”

“It’s like a year to me, staying a minute without you is torture, not three days!”

“I will be back before you know it.”She sighed tiredly at him.

“You can be going from home to the camp.”

She raised an eyebrow. “Who goes to camp from home every day? What’s the fun in it?”

“Three days is what I can’t take.” He turned stubborn.

Her face turned nonchalant. “You will have to.”

Shawn sighed tiredly, his face a picture of resignation.

It’s been weeks since Shawn left with Cindy, and Sofia hadn’t been herself. She barely ate or talked to anyone, locking herself in Shawn’s room and refusing to go to school or see anyone. All she did was cry every day, yearning for Shawn’s return.

Before Shawn left with Cindy, he asked Troy to take Sofia and her family to his mansion to live there. Troy did as he was instructed.

Everyone tried to bring Sofia out of her sadness, but all was in vain. Nina and Mabel came to the house to see her, moving to her doorstep and knocking, along with her mother, Grandma, and Troy.

“Sofia, can you open up? Your friends are here to see you,” Troy said, but there was no response.

“Sofia, dear, please open up, please!” Diana said, and they sighed tiredly after making an attempt for her to open up.

“What do we do now?” Mabel said sadly.

“I’m scared she’ll hurt herself,” Grandma said.

    “Me too,” Diana said.

They sighed tiredly and moved to the living room, thinking of what to do next.

“When will Shawn come back?” Nina asked, talking to Troy.

“No one knows for now,” he said. “He knew this was going to happen, that’s why he prepared everything.”

Troy had a flashback to the incident day when Shawn was heading to the direction. He called Troy.

“Troy, I need you to do something for me,” Shawn said on the phone, and Troy’s voice came from the other end.

    “What’s it, man?” he said.

“Things are about to change. Cindy has Sofia and her family, and this time it’s going to be dangerous. I want you to listen to me. If things don’t turn out as planned, take Sofia and her family to the house. Let them live there from now on,” Shawn said.

“What are you saying, Shawn? Are you going to die?” Troy panicked from the other end of the phone.

“No, Cindy is more dangerous than you can imagine. If I don’t do what she wants, she will kill Sofia and her family, and that is the last thing I don’t want her to do….I am driving to the direction now. I will connect my phone to my air pod. Wait for my signal. You will come over and get Sofia and her family,” Shawn said, his voice firm and determined.

“I seriously don’t understand what you are saying, Shawn. I am getting scared,” Troy said, his voice laced with worry.

“I am doing this to protect the woman I love and her family. Take her and her family to the house and make sure they are comfortable,” Shawn said, his eyes filled with sadness.

“What about Sofia? Do you think she will live without you?” Troy asked, his expression concerned.

“I am doing this for her. I don’t know how long I will be away from her. You just have to take care of everything for me,” Shawn said sadly.

“Ok, if that is what you want, but please, try and come back on time for her. I don’t know how long she will hold on to the pain of losing you,” Troy said.

“I can’t give that promise, Troy,” Shawn’s voice cracked. “It hurts me, and the last thing I wanna do is to see her cry. Please, just do this for me,” Shawn said, his eyes filled with tears.

    Flashback ended.

“He knew things were going to turn out this way?” Mabel asked, surprised, along with everyone.

“Yeah, if he hadn’t accepted her demand, she would have hurt you guys,” Troy said, referring to Sofia’s family.

“I can’t believe he will sacrifice himself for us after the terrible thing our family did to his family,” Diana said sadly.

“He loves Sofia so much that he will do anything to protect her,” Troy said, and they sighed.

“Sofia?” Nina called, seeing her upstairs, her face swollen from tears. Everyone turned to her and rushed to her quickly.

Sofia fell on the floor, sobbing uncontrollably. They consoled her as the ladies pulled her into a warm hug.

“Please stop crying. It’s going to be fine,” Diana said, her expression soft and comforting.

“Shawn will return to you. You just have to give him time. He will definitely come back,” Troy said, his eyes filled with reassurance.

Some minutes later, everyone was seated in the dining table with different food prepared for Sofia. They were urging her to eat, but she refused.

“Please, my child, eat something,” Diana said, her voice laced with worry.

“If you starve yourself too much, you might get sick,” Mabel said, her expression concerned.

“Shawn won’t be happy seeing you like this, please eat something,” Troy said, trying to persuade her.

But Sofia refused, and as tears kept crawling down her cheeks.

“Please, Sofia, come back to us. Everyone in school is worried about you, including the professor. It’s been boring without you in class, please come back,” Mabel said sadly.

“Shawn will come back. He is going to sort things out for a while, and he will be back before you know it,” Nina said, trying to reassure her.

“Please, child, please,” Grandma said, and everyone kept persuading her.

“Open up,” Diana said, taking a scoop of the food closer to Sofia’s mouth. “Please, for our sake, eat something,” she said, but Sofia still refused to eat, and they sighed tiredly, not knowing what to do.

Sofia stood up to leave, took two steps, and suddenly felt dizzy. Everywhere was spinning around her, and her eyes dropped as she fell to the ground. Troy was quick enough to grab her, and everyone panicked as she lost consciousness.

Some minutes later, the doctor was examining Sofia on the bed while the rest stood behind with panicked expressions on their faces. After the doctor was done, he turned to them.

“Is she okay?” Diana asked, her voice laced with worry.

“Yes, she is suffering from malnutrition. When she wakes up, give her something to eat,” the doctor said.

“She has refused to eat. We have tried,” Mabel said.

“You just have to try harder. It might result in something worse if care is not taken,” the doctor said.

“Okay, doctor, we have heard what you said,” Troy said.

“I will take my leave now,” the doctor said and left. Troy saw him off.

The rest of them moved to Sofia, who was still unconscious on the bed.

“When will she ever be happy?” Mabel said sadly.

“When she wakes up, we just have to try harder for her to eat,” Nina said.

“She has been through a lot in her life. First, it was from us, and now her love life is affected too,” Diana said sadly.

“We just hope everything will be perfect again,” Grandma said, and they sighed.

Later in the day, Troy drove Mabel home and they stopped by the gate.

“Thank you for coming today, it was really helpful,” Troy said, smiling warmly.

“Not a problem, Sofia is not just my best friend, she is more like a sister, and I hate to see her looking dejected,” she said, her eyes filled with concern.

“Yeah, we are happy she finally ate, all thanks to you guys,” he said, grateful.

“I believe Shawn will come back for her, we just need a little bit of patience,” she said. hopefully.

His expression turned reassuring. “I believe so too,” he said, and kissed her forehead. “Good night, and say hello to everyone for me,” he said.

“I will, drive carefully,” She smiled, and came down from the car. They waved at each other. Troy saw her go inside, and then he drove off.

An hour later, Shawn came to the bedroom to see Sofia fast asleep. He smiled warmly, his eyes filled with amusement.

“What a stubborn lady.” He moved to her on the bed and untied her hands, making her sleep comfortably on the bed. He then covered her with the blanket before kissing her forehead.

He came out of the room, and his eyes caught sight of Troy entering the house. Troy’s face turned cheerful as he smiled.

    “Hey, bro,” Troy said.

“I thought you weren’t coming home tonight.”

His face turned nonchalant. “Why not? I just hung out with a friend of mine who came back from the state.”

“I thought you went to see Mabel.”

“Nah, but I am hanging out with her tomorrow.”His face turned smug. He smiled, and then Shawn felt a hand wrapped around him from behind. A smirk curved Troy’s lips.

Shawn’s face turned surprised, and he turned to see Sofia holding him while still sleeping. Her face was peaceful, her eyes closed.

“Sofia,” Shawn said softly, caressing her face.

She murmured, her voice barely audible. “I am hungry, Mom.”

Shawn tried not to laugh, and Troy walked closer to them, his eyes filled with amusement.

“Is she sleepwalking?” Troy asked, his voice low. “When did she arrive?” He asked.

“I brought her here.” He said smiling.

“She thinks you are her Mom, how cute.” He tease. smiled and said, “Anyway, good night, guys.”

He left for his room, and Shawn looked down at Sofia, his eyes filled with affection.

    “Am hungry,” she continued murmuring.

His face turned gentle. “You are so cute when you are like this.” He carried her in his arms and returned to the room to put her back to sleep.

    ______

The next morning, Sofia tossed around on the bed, her hand falling on Shawn, who was staring lovingly at her. Her eyes were closed, and a soft smile played on her lips.

She used her hand to touch his body, tracing it down to his cheek, and pinched it, thinking she was dreaming. Shawn’s face turned pained.

“Ouch!” Shawn said, and Sofia’s eyes snapped open. She saw Shawn in front of her, and her hand was still on his cheek. She quickly took off her hand and sat upright on the bed, her face flushing.

“I am sorry about that,” she said nervously, her eyes avoiding Shawn’s.

His face turned warm, and he smiled, pulling her closer to him. “Did you sleep well?” he asked, his voice soft.

He kissed her shoulder, working his way up to her cheek. She turned her face to him, and their faces were inches apart. Shawn’s eyes locked onto hers, and he smiled, staring down at her lips. She gulped hard, her heart racing.

“Can I get a morning kiss?” he asked softly, his eyes pleading. She turned her face away, and Shawn’s expression turned concerned. “Are you still angry with me?” he asked, his arms around her warmly. “What do I do to make it up to you?”.

“Nothing Shawn, I wanna go home, I have class today.” Her face turned away, her eyes avoiding Shawn’s.

His face turned concerned, his eyes narrowing. He sighed and cut her chin, bringing her face to look at him. “This is your home too, remember? Your clothes are still here. I can drop you off, and after school hour, we can go and see a movie together,” he said, smiling warmly.

Sofia’s face turned stubborn, and she pushed his hand from her face, turning her face away, feigning a frown.

“I am not buying that. This is not my home anymore. You needed space, I am giving it to you,” she said.

“I am sorry, I just said that so I can think through. I thought it would help, but it didn’t, because I couldn’t stop thinking about you, every second, every minute. I couldn’t help but want you around me and in my arms. I have missed you so much. Please let me make it up to you, anything you want me to do, I will do it. Just name it.”He said sincerely, his eyes pleading.

     “Anything?”She smirk.

     “Yes, name it, it’s yours.”

Sofia sighed and thought for a while, a sly smile spreading across her face. “Marry me.”

“Sure, I will…”his face lit up, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

She interrupted him, her face turning playful. “I was just kidding.”  he chuckled. “I don’t want anything from you, just you alone is enough for me. Promise me you will never push me away, no matter what happened.”

“I swear with my life, I will never do that.” He said, his eyes locking onto hers.

“Don’t swear with your life, your life is precious to me.”She blushed.

“I love you, Sofia. I love you very much.” Her eyes welled up with tears, and her face contorted with emotion. “I promise to love you forever and never let you out of my sight.” He said, His face turned warm, and he kissed her forehead.

“Really?”her face turned hopeful, and she asked, trying to control her tears,

“Yes, will you give me a second chance?”

“Yes, I will.” They smiled at each other, their eyes locked in a loving gaze.

“Thank you.” He caressed her face, and his lips brushed against her cheek. Sofia’s eyes closed, and her face relaxed into his touch.

He turned adoring, and he cupped her face, leaning his lips closer to hers. Their lips met softly, and they shared a passionate kiss. Her arms encircled his neck, deepening the kiss.

As they kissed, he rolled her over to the bed, caressing her body. Sofia let out a soft moan as his lips caressed her neck.

Some minutes later, they came out of the room, holding hands and smiling. They moved to the dining table to join Troy, who was already eating. Troy’s face turned teasing.

“Hmm, it took you two so long to get down from your room. What were you two busy doing?” Troy asked, smirking.

Sofia’s face turned bright red, and she blushed. Shawn’s face turned annoyed.

“When will you learn to mind your business?” Shawn scoffed.

“I can’t when it concerns two of you.” He said.

Then, one of the workers came to serve them their breakfast.

Troy’s face turned curious. “So, are you two back together?” Shawn and Sofia looked at each other and smiled. Troy’s face turned happy. “Hmm, I see that is a yes. I am happy for the two of you,” he said.

They continued eating, their faces filled with happiness and contentment.

Sofia and Mabel sat in the hall, reading and chatting. Mabel’s face turned curious.

“I can see your bright mood is back. Did you and Shawn settle your differences?” Mabel asked.

     “We did.” She nods.

“Aww! That’s so cute, my friend. I am happy for you.” She smiled warmly.

     “Thank you.”

“So, will you be moving back to his house?”.She asked curiously.

“I guess, maybe.” They both chuckled.

“Finally, everything is going fine. I pray no obstacles come between you two again.”

“I pray so too… So, how is it going between you and Troy? Are you two together now?”

“Yes, we are still working it out. So, I am planning to invite him for a family dinner this weekend.” Mabel said excitedly.

“That will be lovely. I am happy for you, my friend.” She said happily.

“I know.” They both chuckled. “We are planning on seeing a movie together today.” She said smiling.

“Really? Shawn and I are planning that too.”

“That’s good. We four can go together then.”

“How about we six? Nina and her fiancé.” Her face was thoughtful.

“That will be great then.” They smiled at each other, continuing their conversation.

Nina’s flashback ended, and she kept smiling to herself.

“I told you it might be a misunderstanding,” Mabel said.

“Yeah, you were right. I’m happy my baby and I are back together.”She nodded, still smiling.

They chuckled and turned to Sofia, who was lost in thought.

Sofia’s mind was occupied with the intense moment she had with Shawn in the kitchen the other day, and she couldn’t get her mind off it.

“Sofia!” Nina called, tapping her shoulder, and Sofia jerked back to reality.

    “Are you okay?” Mabel asked.

       “Yes, I’m fine.”She forced a smile.

Nina’s eyes narrowed. “You don’t look like it. Did you and your boyfriend get back together?” Sofia sighed.

     “You didn’t?” Mabel asked.

“It’s kinda complicated right now. I just don’t know what to do anymore.”

“Did you two try to talk it out?”Mabel asked.

“Yeah, he apologized for what he did.”

    Nina’s face lit up. “Really?”.

” This is good. So, this means you two are back together?” Mabel asked.

“Not really. I’m just going to pay him back for what he did.” She sipped from her milkshake, and Mabel and Nina stared at her confused.

“Why do you want to pay him back?” Nina asked.

Sofia’s eyes flashed. “I went through pain for what he did. Let him suffer the same fate.”

Mabel shook her head. “You are unbelievable.”

Later in the day, Sofia returned home and entered the living room to see Shawn chatting with her family. She was surprised.

“Hey, sweetie, you’re home,” Diana said.

Sofia’s eyes narrowed. “What are you doing here?” she asked, talking to Shawn.

Shawn’s face turned charming, and he smiled.

Shawn’s face turned sincere as he said, “I came to see you.”

Sofia’s grandma smiled warmly. “Yes, he has been here for an hour waiting for you.”

Sofia rolled her eyes, “I don’t care, okay.By the way, I am going out.”

“You are going out again with the girls?” Diana asked.

She smirked, her eyes locking with Shawn’s, a mischievous glint in her eye. “No, Mom.”Her smile turned sly. “I have a date.”

Shawn’s mood turned surprised, his eyebrows shooting up.

Grandma’s eyes widened in surprise. “A date? With your friends?”

She raised an eyebrow, her expression teasing. “No, granny, a date with a guy.” Shawn’s face turned jealous, his eyes flashing with emotion.

Diana’s mouth opened to speak, but Shawn stood up, interrupting her. “Um,” She started.

“We will be taking our leave now.”He said smiling forcedly.

Before Sofia could react, Shawn quickly picked her up and slung her over his shoulder. Her eyes widened in shock, her face flushing. She was caught off guard, her family looking on in amusement.

“Put me down!” She yelled, struggling against Shawn’s grip, her face red with anger.

Shawn smiled, waving at her family. “Bye.” He walked away with Sofia, her family waving after them, She still struggling, hitting his back with her fists.

      *SHAWN MANSION*

They arrived home, and Shawn dragged her out of the car. She struggled with him, her face red with anger, and he flipped her over his shoulder.

“Put me down!” she yelled, her voice muffled against his back.

He carried her inside, heading to his bedroom. They got to the room, and he flipped her onto the bed, pinning her down.

“What are you doing?” she asked, her voice firm.

“Giving you the punishment you deserve. Now, tell me who is the moron you are going on a date with?” He asked, his eyes burning intensity.

“Is none of your business. Let me go.” She said being defiant.

He scoffed, his lips curling up. “You are not getting away with this one.”

He started to undo his tie, and She stared confusedly at him, her hands still pinned to the bed.

“What are you doing?” she asked, her voice laced with uncertainty.

Shawn’s smile turned mischievous. “You will see.” He took off his necktie and used it to tie her hands together to the bed. Sofia’s eyes widened in shock. “You shouldn’t have mentioned another man in my face. You should know I owe you,” he said, his voice low and husky.

He got up from her body, and She struggled to untie herself, her face flushed with anger.

“Let me go, Shawn. Why do you tie me up?” she asked, her voice firm.

His face turned smug, his eyes glinting with amusement. “Is just the beginning, Sofia.”

He smirked and started to undress himself in front of her, his eyes locked on hers. Sofia’s eyes widened in surprise, her face pale.

“Shawn, let me go,” she said, her voice trembling.

“Is too late.” He smile wickedly.

He took off his shirt, revealing his broad shoulders and six-pack abs. She gulped hard, her eyes fixed on his muscular body.

Her eyes widened in alarm as Shawn climbed onto the bed, his body looming over hers. “What are you trying to do?” she questioned, her voice trembling.

His face turned smug, his eyes glinting with amusement. He smirked as he moved closer to her, their bodies colliding. Her face flushed as he caressed her face, her body trembling at his touch.

He eyes locked onto hers, his gaze burning with intensity. He leaned his face closer to her neck and kissed it, his lips warm against her skin. She let out a gasp, trying to control herself.

“Shawn,” she whispered, her voice barely audible.

“Tell me who the guy was that you are planning to go on a date with,” he said, his voice low and husky.

He started to flirt with her, placing kisses on her neck and tracing it with his tongue to her body. His hand roamed her body, sending shivers down her spine.

Sofia’s eyes closed as she tried to hold her moan. Her face contorted in pleasure, her body arching towards Shawn’s.

His hand traced to her shirt and started to undo the buttons one after the other. She became weak by his touches and kisses around her body, her eyes still closed in ecstasy.

She eagerly wanted his lips on hers, but Shawn was teasing her, his eyes gleaming with amusement as he watched her succumb to his touch.

His eyes locked onto her body as he finally undid her button, revealing her black sexy bra and her flat tummy. He could see her body trembling, and his face turned filled with desire.

“You are so beautiful,” he said, his voice low and husky.

He caressed her tummy with his lips, and Sofia’s eyes widened in shock. She grabbed tight to the bed handle with her hands still tied. His face turned smug, his eyes gleaming with amusement.

“Shawn, please stop, I can’t take this anymore,” She said, her voice pleading.

He continued with the teasing, his face inches from hers. “Tell me the truth,” he said.

“The guy is no one, I just made that up to tease you, please stop.” She pleaded, losing her sanity, and Shawn smirked.

“Will you ever disobey me again?” he asked, kissing her neck.

Her eyes closed, and her face contorted in pleasure. “No, I won’t.”

“Will you ever mention another man to me again?” He asked.

     “I promise I won’t, please!”She said, her voice weak.

He smiled and turned to look at her. Her eyes were closed, and her face was flushed.

“Open your eyes,” he said. She opened her eyes slowly to meet his. His eyes burned with intensity. “I made a promise not to go far with you until you are twenty. Don’t make me break that promise, because if I do, I don’t think I can stop. Don’t push me, Sofia.” He smiled and kissed her forehead as he stood up from the bed to leave.

“Aren’t you going to untie me?”

“Nope.” He said as he wore his shirt and left the room. Sofia grunted angrily.

“Damn you, Shawn!” she yelled, her face red with anger and frustration.

Sofia’s face contorted in anguish as she collapsed on the floor, tears streaming down her eyes like a torrent. Her body was paralyzed with shock, and she was dumbfounded, unable to process the revelation.

Her family sobbed around her, their faces etched with grief and regret. Lucas’s face was twisted in remorse, tears streaming down his eyes.

“Please forgive me, I had no choice but to do it,” he said, his voice cracking with emotion.

Diana’s face was a picture of despair, her eyes red and puffy from crying. “Please don’t hate us,” she sobbed, her body shaking with sobs.

Sofia’s face was a mask of horror, her eyes wide with shock and disbelief. “Tell me this is a lie, that you guys just made up,” she begged, her voice trembling with emotion. She turned to her dad, her eyes pleading, and grasped his hands tightly. “Look at me, Dad, tell me it’s not true, tell me you’re joking right now, that none of this happened,” she said, her whole body shaking as tears filled the room.

Lucas’s face was etched with regret, his eyes filled with tears. “I’m sorry, Child, please forgive me,” he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Her face contorted in anguish as she let go of her dad’s hands and screamed in anguish. “No, no, no, please! Tell me this is not true!” she yelled, her body shaking with sobs.

Her mother tried to touch her, but she pushed her back, her face twisted in anger and hurt. “Don’t come close to me!” she yelled, her voice echoing through the room.

Sofia’s face was contorted in anguish, her eyes wild with insanity as she lost control. “Why? Why? Why does it have to be you? Why does it always have to be you?” she repeated, her voice rising to a hysterical pitch.

Her body shook with sobs as she fell to her knees, her face twisted in pain. “Why can’t you all just let me be happy for once, why! why! please tell me why,” she cried out, her voice cracking with emotion.

Grandma’s face was worried, her eyes filled with concern. “Violet, please,” she said, trying to calm Sofia down.

Lucas’s face was remorseful, his eyes filled with tears. “I am sorry,” he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

But Sofia’s face was unforgiving, her eyes blazing with anger. “Don’t tell me you are sorry when you are not,” she snapped at him, her voice venomous.

Diana’s face was pleading, her eyes filled with tears. “Is not too late, Violet, we can fix this,” she said, trying to reassure Sofia.

But Sofia’s face was incredulous, her eyes wide with disgust. “Fixed what? How are you going to fix it? By running away? Do you guys think running away will fix the urge mess you have done?” she yelled, her voice rising to a fever pitch.

Her face was twisted in frustration, her eyes blazing with anger. “You killed a whole family because of your stupidity!” she grunt, her voice cracking with emotion.

Lucas’s face was shamefaced, his eyes filled with remorse. “I know what I did was wrong,” he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

But Sofia’s face was unforgiving, her eyes blazing with anger. “You were absolutely wrong!” she yelled, her voice echoing through the room. Her face was twisted in pain, her eyes filled with tears. “There is no need to keep reminding yourself of that, you did a terrible thing, Dad, not just to him, but to me as well. My heart is torn into pieces because of what you have done,” she said, her voice cracking with emotion.

Her face was serious, her eyes filled with a deep sadness. “Do you know the man you ruined his entire family is the same man your daughter is in love with?” she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Her family’s faces were shocked, their eyes wide with surprise, as they realized the gravity of the situation.

Meanwhile, Shawn was in his room, looking worried, his brow furrowed in concern. He wondered why Sofia was taking too long, and he called her cell phone, but she wasn’t picking up. He then called his assigned bodyguard, his face tense with anxiety.

“Where are you guys?” he asked on the phone, his voice firm.

The guard replied from the other end, and Shawn’s face relaxed slightly as he listened. “Ok, make sure she is brought home safe,” he said, and hung up, letting out a sigh.

Back to Sofia and her family, Diana’s face was shocked, her eyes wide with horror. “No, dear, this can’t happen,” she said, her voice trembling.

Sofia’s face was twisted in anger, her eyes blazing with fury. “It has already happened, mother, it’s too late to turn back now. You guys have completely ruined my love life, thanks to you,” she spat, her voice venomous.

She turned to leave, but her family tried to stop her. Sofia turned angrily at them, her face contorted in rage. “Don’t you dare! I hate you! I hate you guys so much that…” She paused, feeling dizzy, and almost lost her balance.

Her family was quick to hold her and made her sit down, their faces worried and concerned. “Violet! Look at me,” Grandma said, her voice calm and soothing.

Sofia looked at them, finding it difficult to breathe, her face pale and clammy. “Calm down, child, breathe in and out slowly,” Lucas said, his voice gentle and reassuring.

Diana’s face was panicked, her eyes wide with fear. “Violet!” she called, and rushed to the kitchen to get a glass of water.

Grandma’s face was calm, her eyes soothing. “Take a deep breath,” she said, as Sofia started to get her breathing back under control.

Diana rushed back with the water and placed it in Sofia’s mouth. Sofia gulped it down and let out a gasp. “Easy, it’s gonna be fine,” Diana said, her voice reassuring.

The assigned guard entered the room, his face concerned, and quickly rushed to Sofia’s side. He carried her out of the house, her family staring after him in shock and worry.

He placed Sofia in the backseat gently and then ordered the driver to go, his face firm and authoritative.

Some hours later, Sofia opened her eyes weakly, her face pale and clammy. She had fallen asleep on their way back home, and the assigned guard had taken her to Shawn’s room.

As she opened her eyes, she saw Shawn next to her, smiling warmly. His face was concerned, his eyes filled with worry.

“It took you hours to wake up,” he said, his voice gentle.

Sofia’s face was weak, her eyes sunken. “Shawn,” she called, her voice barely above a whisper.

Shawn’s face was tender, his eyes filled with love. He caressed her face, his touch gentle. “Why is your face so swollen? Have you been crying? Why did you cry?” he asked, his voice filled with concern.

Tears gathered in Sofia’s eyes as she hugged him tightly, sobbing uncontrollably. Shawn’s face was surprised, his eyes wide with worry.

“I am sorry, Shawn, I am so sorry,” she sobbed, her body shaking with tears.

“Why are you saying sorry? Did something happen?” he asked, his voice gentle. but confused

Sofia continued sobbing, holding him tight. “Please don’t hate me, I beg of you, please,” she pleaded, her voice cracking with emotion.

His face was reassuring, his eyes filled with love. He pulled away from her and caressed her face, clearing her tears. “I will never hate you, Sofia, I never did, and I will never hate you,” he said, his voice firm.

“You promise you won’t push me away, no matter what happened?” she asked, her voice trembling.

“Why are you saying all these? I have never pushed you away? You know I can never do that,” he said, his voice reassuring. He kissed her forehead, his lips warm and gentle. “Stop crying now, or you might get sick,” he said, his voice soft.

Sofia’s face was tear-stained, her eyes red and puffy. “I can’t,” she sniffed, her face bowed. “I just can’t,” she repeated, her voice cracking with emotion.

“You wanna talk about it?” he asked, his voice soft. His eyes filled with concern.

The next day, Shawn was discharged from the hospital and brought home, Sofia and Troy were surprised by what happened to him, their faces shocked and worried.

Shawn was taken to his room and lay down on the bed properly, his face pale and weak. Troy’s face was concerned, his eyes filled with worry. “What happened to you?” he asked.

Sofia sat next to Shawn, her face worried, her eyes filled with anxiety. Shawn’s face was calm, his eyes serene. “I was attacked last night,” he said.

Troy’s face was shocked, his eyes wide with surprise. Sofia’s face was horrified, her eyes filled with fear. “What? By who?” Sofia asked, her voice trembling.

Shawn’s face was reassuring, his eyes calm. “I don’t know, but I am fine now,” he said.

Troy’s face was exasperated, his eyes rolling in frustration. “Oh no, Shawn, for goodness sake, how many enemies do you have?” he asked.

Sofia’s face was curious, her eyes filled with inquiry. “Why did you decide not to tell us last night?” she asked.

Shawn’s face was gentle, his eyes smiling. “Because I don’t want you guys to get worried,” he said.

Troy and Sofia sighed tiredly, their faces relieved but still worried.

Some minutes later, Sofia came to Shawn’s room with some fruits salad, her face smiling, her eyes warm. She sat next to him, and Shawn smiled after her, his face grateful.

“Why aren’t you in school today?” he asked, his voice weak but curious.

Her face was happy, her eyes sparkling. “I got no class today, so I’m free,” she said. “Here, have some,” he said, as Sofia handed him the fruits salad.

“Thank you,” he said, taking the fruits salad from her and starting to eat.

Her face was concerned, her eyes filled with worry. “Does it hurt?” she asked, seeing the bandage wrapped around his tummy.

     “A little,” he said reassuring.

“Is someone after your life? Did Sly return to hunt you because of me?” she asked, her voice trembling.

He looked at her with a reassuring smile. “No, I don’t know who they are, but my men are working on it,” he said.

She frowned, her eyes filled with worry. “This is bad, what if it was more than this, what if the bullet aimed through your head?” she asked, her voice trembling.

He chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. “You worry too much,” he said, smiling. “I can’t die now when I have too many enemies to take care of. If it was my fate to die, I would have died thirty years ago when I was found unconscious by my foster dad.”

She looked at him with tears in her eyes. “But I am scared,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

He leaned in and kissed her forehead, his lips warm and gentle. “Don’t be,” he said. “I will be here.”

They hugged each other warmly, holding each other tightly.

“You promise me that you will never get hurt again,” she said, her voice muffled against his chest.

He pulled back and looked at her, his eyes serious. “I can’t promise you that, but I promise to stay alive for you, and you have to promise me you will stay by my side.”

She nodded, her eyes shining with tears. “I promise,” she said.

They pulled away from each other and locked eyes, their faces inches apart. They leaned in closer and kissed, their lips meeting in a soft, gentle touch. They returned to cuddling each other, holding each other tightly.

Later that same day, Sofia came to visit her family after they called her, she took permission from Shawn and he assigned a guard to go with her. When they drove into the compound, she came down to see a huge man with a pot belly (Smith) stumbling out of the house with his men behind him. Then he stopped to lock eyes with her, and Sofia could see his piercing gaze on her. He let out a smirk and entered the car and drove off with his men.

Sofia’s face was confused, her eyes furrowed in inquiry. She wondered who he was, and she ran inside while her assigned guard waited behind by the car, safeguarding the area.

She rushed inside to see the trauma her family was in, and immediately they met eyes with her, they hugged her quickly. Sofia’s face was worried, her eyes filled with concern.

“What is going on?” she asked, her voice urgent.

They pulled away from her, their faces serious. Lucas’s face was grave, his eyes somber. “Listen to me, Violet, I think you have to come with us and let’s leave this country,” he said.

Sofia’s face was confused, her eyes wide with surprise. “Leave? Why? What trouble are you guys in again, and who was that man I saw leaving the house?” she asked, her voice filled with curiosity.

Diana’s face was curious, her eyes sparkling with interest. “You saw him?” she asked.

Sofia’s face was serious, her eyes stern. “Yes, I just met him, and he looked at me with a mischievous look,” she said.

Her family’s faces were panicked, their eyes wide with fear. “Oh no, this is not happening, we got no time to remain here, we have to leave,” Grandma said, her face worried.

Sofia’s face was angry, her eyes blazing with fury. “What have you guys done this time? Did you steal money from him, and now he is after your lives?” she asked, her voice accusatory.

Lucas’s face was nervous, his eyes darting back and forth. “No, we didn’t do that,” he said.

She could see the lies in their eyes. “You guys are lying, I thought you guys had changed, but I guess I was wrong,” she said, her voice disappointed.

She tried to leave, but they held her back. Grandma’s face was pleading, her eyes filled with tears. “Please, don’t go, hear us out,” she said.

Sofia’s face was frustrated, her eyes narrowed in annoyance. “Hear, what’s out? What trouble are you guys in this time?” she asked, her voice firm.

Diana’s face was serious, her eyes filled with worry. “You have to come with us, we are no longer safe here, and you too,” she said, her voice trembling. “The man you are living with, will end our lives once he knows the truth.”

“What are you talking about, Mom?” she asked, her voice laced with confusion. Her family’s faces were avoiding her gaze, their eyes darting around the room. Her face was suspicious, her eyes narrowing. “What are you guys hiding?” she asked, her voice firm.

Grandma’s face was calm, her eyes soothing. “Nothing, dear, just calm down,” she said, trying to reassure Sofia.

“Don’t tell me to calm down, Grandma!” she snapped, her voice loud.

Her family’s faces were taken aback, their eyes wide with surprise. Sofia’s face was determined, her eyes staring hard at them. “Tell me what you guys have done, and why will Shawn want to kill us if he finds out the truth?” she asked, “What truth, Mom?”

Her family’s faces were nervous, their eyes gulping anxiously, knowing this was the time to spill out the truth to her.

Shawn was taking a nap at the garden, sipping from his juice, his face relaxed, his eyes closed. Troy came over, dressed up to leave, a smile on his face.

“There you are,” Troy said, his eyes sparkling with amusement.

Shawn stared at him, his eyes opening lazily, a hint of a smile on his face. “You look good today, are you going out?” he asked, his voice laced with amusement.

Troy’s face was confident, his eyes shining with excitement. “Yes, I am hanging out with Mabel,” he said, his voice filled with pride.

Shawn’s face was teasing, his eyes crinkling at the corners. “Wow, nice, did she agree to go with you or you forced her,” he teased, a smirk on his face.

Troy rolled his eyes at him, his face exasperated. “Don’t get it wrong, bro, I am serious with her, and I want to make the best out of it,” he said, his voice sincere.

“Well, I wish you luck with that,” he said, his voice laced with sarcasm.

“I am not going to allow you to ruin my chances today, I will be needing one of your cars,” he said, his voice firm.

His look was generous, his eyes smiling. “Sure, go ahead,” he said, waving his hand in permission.

“You are the best, don’t miss me too much, okay?” he said, his voice teasing.

He scoffed,”Don’t bother,” he said, his voice laced with sarcasm.

“Alright, buddy, see you later, and don’t forget to take your medication,” he said, his voice teasing.

Shawn’s face was playful, his eyes sparkling with amusement. “I heard you, Dad,” he teased, his voice laced with sarcasm.

They smiled at each other, their faces filled with warmth and affection, before Troy left.
