    “Are you okay?” I asked approaching her. I looked around and when I saw no one was looking, I held her by the hand and pull her with me.
    “Where are we going?” She asked in her Angelic voice but I ignored her. I got to an empty room and opened it up pulling her in.
    I looked around to check if anyone was around, and luckily no one was around.
    I got into the room and locked the door behind us.
    “My Prince, I…” She stammered and I cut her short.
    “We kissed.” I said and she looked at me swallowing hard.
    “It was just a dream.” She muttered.
    “It’s not just a dream Akira. My dreams always come to pass no matter how small it is.” I said approaching and she began to move back.
    “Is it only the kissing side you saw? Wait! We had the same dream?” She asked and I shrugged my shoulders.
    “I don’t know. All I know is what I saw which is, Hana said we would be leaving for the market. We went to get jewelries and then these men on horses came and began to kill the people.”
    “We ran and then saw this old house where we hid ourselves and then things got intense and I kissed you, pulled your waist…”
    “And then you were shot.” She cut in and I sighed nodding.
    “Yes I was, and then I woke up.” I stated and she looked scared.
    “That Is what we should be worried about my Prince not the kissing part. That was insane because it can’t happen and it won’t happen.” She muttered.
    “Why can’t it happen?” I asked looking at her.
    “For you to be safe, we need to be sure that nothing comes to pass in that dream.” She said with her head bowed.
    “It’s inevitable Akira. This dream will come to pass no matter what we do.” I said emphasizing on the “what we do”.
    “We can do something. We won’t go to the market. We inform the king about the war, by telling him the dream excluding the kissing part of course.” She said and I stared at her.
    “What are you avoiding in that dream Akira. The kiss?” I asked and she shook her head reluctantly.
    “No! I am avoiding the fact that you got shot. I can’t let you get shot, you should get shot.” She said and I smiled.
    “You care about me.” I said and she looked away.
    “Yes i do. Because you care about everyone else in this palace.” She mumbled and I nodded speechlessly.
    “Aren’t we missing something here? Why did we have the same dream at the same time? No difference, no substraction,no addition. Doesn’t that tell us something?” I asked and she nodded.
    “It’s telling us that we need be extra careful, and that the town isn’t safe.” She said and I heaved.
    I knew she was trying so hard not to talk about the kissing part. And I think I won’t force that again.
    “I would tell mother about the dream, she would know how to tell father.” I said and I opened the door.
    “You wouldn’t tell her about the kiss, would you?” She asked and I looked at her.
    “Of course not. The kiss was a distraction, and that was why I was shot.” I rapped and she nodded breathing out loud.
    “How is your face?” I asked and she smiled faintly.
    “Better thank you.” She said with her head bowed.
    I walked out of the room and just then, Hana came out of the corner around the hallway walking to where I was.
    “Hey, where have you been? I have been looking for you.” She said and I saw two of her maids with her. 
    “Sorry about that. I was taking care of something.” I said and then Akira came out of the room.
    Luckily for me, I wasn’t in front of the door anymore when Hana saw me.
    “Akira? What are you doing here?” She asked and Akira looked scared not knowing what to say.
    “So you were looking for me? What’s up?” I said changing the subject of discussion.
    “Right. I wanted us to go to the market. I need to get somethings for myself.” She said and our eyes widened.
    “No.” Akira and I chorused before thinking.
    “What? What’s going on?” She asked looking at both of us and I gulped down my saliva.
    “We need to talk Hana. In private.” I said and she looked at me with great curiosity.
    “Okay you are scaring me.” She said In fear.
    “It’s fine. But we need to talk. Now.” I said holding her hand and pulling her away. I looked back at Akira and I saw she was staring at us as we walked away.
    We got to her chamber and we walked in shutting the door behind us.
    “So what’s up?” She asked looking at me.
    “I had a dream.” I said and her eyes widened. 
    “A bad dream?” She asked looking scared and I nodded.
    “Not that bad. There was some good in it, but it was kinda scary.” I said and she let me sit on her bed, then she sat next to me.
    “Tell me this dream. I am scared already because your dreams are like visions of what to come.” She said and I heaved.
    “In the dream, I saw you told us to go to the market, with Akira and the other maids. You were going to buy jewelries.” I said and her eyes widened.
    “That’s exactly what I want to buy Arjun. What Happened?” She asked anxiously.
    “After we got the jewelry, there was this attack on the people in the market including us, and we began to run.”
    “They had spears and guns. Niran actually warned us that the other competiting countries wanted to wage war against us but we ignore him and still left.” I explained and I could see her breathing grow intense.
    “Did any of us die?” She asked in a shaky voice.
    “I was shot and I didn’t see you and the other maids at the end.” I said and tears rolled down her eyes.
    “Hana you don’t need to cry. We would prevent the dream as soon as possible.” I said and she nodded cleaning her eyes.
    “So what is the good news in the dream? Maybe that would cheer me up a little.” She said and I swallowed hard.
    “It’s not about you Hana. It’s not important.” I said looking away.
    “You should remove any part of the dream. Not when the dream is that critical.” She said and I nodded.
    “I know but it’s to keep everyone safe.” I said and she sighed taking my hand in hers.
    “Arjun trust me. You know you can tell me anything. If you don’t want anyone to know this, I am not anyone I can keep a secret.” She said and I nodded.
    “I kissed Akira in the dream.” I said.
    “What?” She asked and she began to chuckle.
    “Crazy right? That’s why I can’t tell anyone. It would put her in trouble, knowing my dreams do come to pass.” I said sadly.
    “But you want it to happen right?” She asked.
    “Hana….” I said.
    “You don’t have to pretend to me of all people Arjun. Akira is nice, and beautiful.” She said.
    “Yes. I want it to happen, but she doesn’t.” I said looking at her.
    “That is because she Is scared, and she should be.” She stated and I nodded laying on the bed.
                AKIRA
    When I got to the room, I met Vanna and Mei sitting silently. As as I walked in, I suspected they were talking about me.
    “Why do I feel you were talking about me.” I said walking to my bed and sitting on it.
    “What happened Akira? You shouted the Prince’s name when you woke up.” Vanna said and Mei nodded.
    “I had a bad dream. That’s all.” I said laying on the bed.
    “A bad dream?? That sounds creepy. Your dreams are always visions.” Mei said and I nodded sadly.
    “It will be fine. You don’t have to worry.” I said and a knock came on the door. Vanna reached for it and opened it.
    It was Aaron.
    “Akira can we talk please?” He asked looking very serious and my heart skipped.

    Mina quickly emerged from the car and started running to only God knows where

    I paused for some moment then I quickly came out of the car and ran after her

    “Mina Mina… ” I called but she did not stop running

    The breeze was blowing through her hair and she was really running fast but I finally caught up with her

    I held her hand but she angrily jerk it away and looked at me.

    I was startled to see her teary eyes

    “Mina I.. I…

    “Don’t say anything… Pls don’t say anything ” She whispered as she started looking around as if she lost something

    “Mina I was also shocked when I found out, I really don’t know how to tell you, I was scared that I am going to lose you ” I said as I tried to fight back the tears that welled up my eyes

    “You got marry to kayla because of that?? She asked then she shook her head and continued “Your mom killed her because of her greed and your dad also knew about this??

    “Mina”

    “People thought Chairman Wol bin wife died when giving birth not knowing she was killed and you also knew about it but you try to protect your family dirty reputation ” Mina yelled out

    “And that is exactly what I am regretting right now, I chose my family dirty reputation over my heart and now I hate myself for it ” I manage to say

    “You’re a monster and I will never ever forgive you and your family … Never ” She blurted and was about to leave when she suddenly stop and touch her forehead.

    “Mina are you okay?? I asked but there was no response

    “What is…..

    I couldn’t finish my statement as Mina collapse and my eyes was wide open

    I place my hand on her forehead

    “Gosh… She’s burning up ” I said to myself as I quickly carry her and straightaway to the car

    Author’s POV

    “Mom what do you mean?? Kayla asked looking surprised

    “I was the one who recorded the video of how CJ’s mistakenly killed Mina’s real mother and I threatened their family with it but the video is over the internet now.. How come??

    “Are you sure no one had an extra copy of it?? Kayla asked

    “I don’t think so, I only send one to CJ mom and I know she won’t be that careless not to keep the clip safe”

    “Then who could’ve uploaded the video?? Kayla said as she was looking at her phone

    “Kayla let’s forget about that, Chairman Wol bin has limited life to live and…..

    “Mom?? Kayla shouted looking shocked

    “What is it?? What happened??

    “Take a look at this” Kayla said as she showed her the video on her phone and she was also baffled

    It was the video of when she was about to inject chairman wol bin and how innocent Mina entered

    “Mom look at the headline ” Kayla said

    The Owner of Shim Restaurant tried to kill Chairman Wol bin and blame CJ ex girlfriend who is the real chairman Wol bin daughter

    “What??!! Who is doing this?? She said as she was now terrified.

    Eve’s POV

    “Don’t worry nothing is going to happen to you now ” My brother said

    Who could’ve save me??

    Was it the guy that Eric asked him to protect me??

    My brother changed the channel and i looked at the TV

    “Welcome back to the NS news, a video of how chairman wol bin wife died died has went viral and so many people wants justice, as we all know that chairman wol bin is the vegetative state, it’s hard to decide now and not too long the anonymous share a video of how the owner of Shim restaurant in gwanju was caught trying to kill Chairman Wol bin and try to blame it on CJ ex girlfriend which we all know as Mina, a shocking truth was revealed of Mina being Chairman Wol bin real daughter while the popular beauty model Kayla is fake”

    “Who can the anonymous be and how does the person know everything?? I thought

    “Mina is Chairman Wol bin daughter?? My brother asked looking surprised

    The one that shock me the most is that CJ mom is actually the one that killed Mina’s mom

    Gosh how is Mina going to feel??

    “Chairman Ryung who is CJ father including his wife were responsible for the death of Chairman Ryung first wife and also their first daughter Chu Jung who everyone thought was dead turns out to be alive, she was spotted a month ago in the hospital by a small girl but everyone ignore it not until some hours ago she was spotted in Chairman Ryung house “

    “Aish turn it off” I said as I stood up

    It is really annoying

    Suzy’s POV

    I dialed mom’s number and she quickly pick it

    “Mom where are you?? Do you know the police are looking for you and dad?? I said and I could tell she was now crying

    “Why did you step mom?? Why?.

    “I and your dad were scared, we thought she knew about my dirty secret of killing Wol bin wife so we planted a bomb in her car and….

    “Mom?? I yelled “Don’t you know with what you’ve done, you’ve practically ruined your son’s carrer, do you know what people are saying all over the internet, they’re calling him all sort of names, I wish you and dad surrender yourself to the police and end all this ” I said then I hang up

    I cover my mouth as I started crying

    Author’s POV

    (In the forest)

    Everywhere was silent and wei was staring at Eric’s picture when Mimi came and sat beside her

    Wei looked at her and then back at the picture

    Mimi let out a sigh and brought out her personal book and pen and wrote something then she show it to her

    “You miss him”

    Wei smiled and nodded

    Mimi wrote something again but this time it was long that it took some minutes then she show it to her

    “It really hurt when I find out about my mom being the evil one, I miss Mina too even though she’s not my blood sister, my mom is the evil one and she caused everything, your brother did not die of leukemia but someone was poisoning him and the person was my mother “

    Wei was shocked as her mouth was wide open

    “Are you kidding?? This is not a joke so stop joking around “

    Mimi wrote something again that she continue to write and write then show it to Wei to read

    Flashback

    Eric visited the restaurant and Mina’s fake mom hugged her

    “How are you?? Hey I make your favourite cupcakes again ” She said and Eric smiled

    “Let me get it for you ” She said and went to the kitchen, she looked around and brought out some powder and sprinkle it on top of the cupcakes

    She smiled to herself and was about to go when one of the cupcakes fell, she groaned then she ignore it and went away

    Mimi who was hiding behind the table saw everything and pick the cupcake that fell down

    She planned on giving it to her neighbors dog because she knew how hungry the dog is

    She went outside and call the dog

    She gave the dog the cupcake and the dog ate it cheerfully

    After an hour, Mimi was outside doing her homework when she saw their neighbor putting Ruff (the dog) inside the car.

    The dog was spitting out blood and Mimi was nervous and worried

    Why is the dog spitting out blood?? Was he sick?

    After some days, Mimi found out that it was due to the powder her mom put on Eric’s cupcakes

    Why is mom doing that??

    Eric came oneday and her mother gave him another cupcakes, Mimi didn’t want anything to happen to Eric so she secretly pass the backdoor when Eric was leaving and told him everything.

    When Eric finished reading what Mimi wrote about her mom poisoning him, he was shocked at first not knowing why she wanted to kill him

    He shouldn’t have believe Mimi but he has also notice some changes in him when he was spitting out blood and how Eve had caught him

    He was also suspicious of the doctor because the doctor make it known to him that he had leukemia and he has limited life to live

    He went to another hospital and was told that he has no leukemia just food poisoning and they will give him antidote for it

    Wei eyes was filled with tears, she angrily stood up

    “Your mom is a murderer, she killed my brother.. She

    Mimi wrote something and showed it to her

    Wei eyes widened in shock as her lips was trembling

    Mimi wrote something and showed it Eric

    “I saw this in my mom’s room, I think it is a video clip of something “

    She brought out the Clip and gave it to him

    She wrote another thing and show it to Eric

    “Mina is not my real sister, she is this man daughter ” She brought out a picture and showed it to Eric

    “This is Chairman Wol bin, kayla’s dad ” Eric said but Mimi shook her head as she continue to write down something and then show it to him

    A guy swiftly enter Chairman Wol bin VVIP ward and put a CCTV camera there and quietly went out

    “Wei you should learn how to control your temper ” Someone said and Wei stood there shock as she recalled who has told her that statement before

    “Mina is pregnant?? CJ asked as his eyes widened and the doctor slightly nodded as he make sure he listened to Mina’s breathing who was lying unconscious on the bed and checked her pulse

    “Yeah but don’t worry, the baby is fine, she’s just dehydrated.

    CJ step backward as he swallowed the lump in his throat, he looked down at Mina’s left hand and saw the iv in her hand.

    “I’ll be right back ” The doctor said and walked away

    CJ just stood there not knowing if he should believe it or not

    “Mina is pregnant?? But for who?? He thought

    He clenched his fist as different thought keep running through his mind

    “There’s no way she’s pregnant for me cos we never had sex so how come?? CJ thought

    He watched as Mina let out a whimper and slowly open het eyes

    Mina lifted her head to find CJ staring down at her with a shocking face expression on his face

    “You.. You… You’re the evil one ” CJ said and Mina was surprised to see tears in his eyes

    “You’re the liar and the betrayal ” CJ said and Mina arched her brow

    She was confused and did not know what has gotten over CJ

    CJ shook his head and left the ward angrily, he bumped into the doctor but ignored him and walked away

    The doctor entered and smiled at Mina when he see that she was awake

    “What is wrong with him?? The doctor asked as he checked the fluid

    “Some minutes ago, he was scared that you’re unconscious but when I told him you’re pregnant, he suddenly change… Isn’t he happy that his girlfriend is pregnant? ” The doctor said and Mina eyes widened

    “Wh… What!!! CJ has find out that I am pregnant?? Mina sort of whispered

    “Yea because you’re really pregnant or don’t you know??

    Eve looked at the flower on the gravestone and let out a sigh

    “I miss you Eric “She said

    Her voice was low. The air was nippy, a small breeze ruffling her dress. He paid no mind to it though, allowing her gown to dance about as it wished. The graveyard was silent. A faint roar in the foreground told her of oncoming storms.

    The sky above him had already turned a sour shade of grey;

    the clouds hanging above a thick and dark mass.

    “I should have visited sooner.” Eve spoke in a whisper, breaking her gaze from the foreboding sky.

    She didn’t know why she was being so quiet, there was no one around to hear her word. The graveyard was deserted; the only soul present being a broken one was she

    Once more Eve paused in her words. Her mind raced with

    all the things she wished to say. There was so much she needed to speak.

    “Eric I am scared and I really miss you, why did you have to leave??

    It began to rain, the cold droplets hitting her face and sliding

    down her cheeks like tears. It’s the rain but she did not care.

    She drop to a squat and burst out crying then suddenly she yelped when she felt someone touch her on her shoulder.

    “You should take care of yourself and forget about the dead ” The person said but Eve refuse to answer or even look at the person

    “You’re really hurting yourself yourself?! Is the person so close to you to the extend that you’re crying under the rain “

    “It’s none of your business, he is someone special to me and I have the right to do whatever I want ” Eve said

    “Do you think the person will be happy to see you in this state??

    Eve paused for some seconds

    The vouch sounds familiar

    She shut his eyes to try to try to recall where she heard the voice then she thought about the guy who saved her from Manager Don’s claw

    Eve slowly stood up and was about to turn but the person held her preventing her to look at him

    “Were you the guy that saved me some hours ago?? She asked but there was no response

    Eve knew exactly what to do

    She quickly jerk his hand off and quickly spun around, she sadly looked away

    It was the guy which Eric asked him to protect her

    “You’re the one?? Eve said looking disappointed

    “Were you expecting it to be someone else?? The guy said as he looked at Eve

    Her lips was now trembling, she’s feeling cold due to the rain

    He removed his coat and was about to put it around her but Eve was shocked as she look at the black coat

    “Eric?? She whispered

    “Ha.. Ohhh… Yea you’re right… It is Eric’s coat.. ” The guy said and Eve notice something strange

    The guy’s face look rough and she looked at his neck.

    She stretch forth her hand and was about to touch it but the guy held her hand and looked at her

    “What do you think you are doing?? The guy asked

    “Who are you?? She asked

    “Haa… Was that suppose to be a question??

    “It is not advice able to use human face mask when it is raining ” Eve said and the guy manage to fake a smile

    “So who are you?? She asked again

    CJ’s POV

    “What!!! Min ho exclaimed “You mean Mina cheated on you??

    “Yeah, she cheated on me and got pregnant and I am hundred percent positive that it is for her dead best friend Eric”

    “Miles??

    “Yea, now can you see who is the evil one?? She’s a lier, she lied to me, she never love me, she played with my feelings and now she’s acting innocent ” I said angrily

    “No you’re wrong CJ, you were the one that fooled her, you abandoned her and you chose your parent dirty secret over her “

    “But she’s already flirting with her best friend before I knew about my parent past and…. Wait.. Are you taking her side?? I asked as I shot him a glance

    “Not really but CJ are you sure she’s pregnant for Eric or for you??

    “Am I nut ?? Am I dumb?? I never had sex with Mina, I have never see her nakedness and she had never seen mine so who else is she close to that is a guy… Of course it is Eric ” I said

    “So what are you going to do??

    “I don’t know “

    “Do you listen to the news today??

    “Of course I do, and I know the anonymous doing that shit is Kayla’s mother and i’ll make sure she pay for it “

    “Pay for what exactly?? Pay for revealing your parent dirty secret.. Huh?? CJ what the fuck is wrong with you?? You’ve really changed, I don’t even know who you’re anymore ” Min ho said and I felt something sting my heart

    His words really hurt me but I already have another negative thought

    Mina is mine and I love her and if she end up giving birth to her best friend child then everything is over

    I quickly excused myself and brought out my phone

    I dialed the doctor’s number and he picked it

    “Hello”

    “Hello Doc. It is I CJ”

    “Ohh CJ, why did you leave your girlfriend like that?? She is awake and she has been crying since you left “

    “Doc can you do me a favour?? I said

    “Sure anything “..

    I looked around and shut my eyes then let out a sigh and open it back

    “Actually my girlfriend isn’t happy about the pregnancy and I want you to…….

    I paused as my heart keep beating fast

    What is wrong with me??

    Why am I thinking that way??

    “To what??

    “Terminate her pregnancy without her consent… Don’t let her know about it “

    “What!!! The doctor exclaimed

    “Just do it doc and i’ll do whatever it takes to repay you just do it ” I said and he was silent for some seconds

    “Uhm.. Ohh… Okay”

    “Yea” I said and hang up as I clenched my fist tightly

    The person the people feared and thought is the manipulative god unknown to them was just his messenger but he lived among the people as a regular guy in search of the chosen bride, she is the only one that can lead him to the war god to end him for good and take what belongs from him and sacrifice the bride after everything.

    Now, who is the chosen bride for the war god in isolation?

    Will the manipulative god we have no idea about find her and carry out his plan?.

    Will the chosen bride be ready to accept her fate?

    Lastly, what if she finds him but refuses to leave his isolation to save the very people who never wanted him again?

    “How was your first service to the princess?” I asked trying to hide the fear that my son was just called into the Princess’s chamber.

    “It was annoying.” Mei said and I sighed folding my hands.

    “You won’t really give up Hun?” I asked and she shook her head.

    “Ma’am Nikita can we ask you some questions?” Vanna asked and I nodded walking to one of the beds and sitting down.

    “Ask me anything you want to know about the way things are done in the palace.” I muttered and she nodded.

    “What does it mean for someone to be discarded?” She asked and I heaved.

    “That means the Princess, Queen or the Prince won’t be needing the services of that Maid anymore. The ones that are discarded are those who have been serving them for a very long time and they think it’s time to free them.” I explained and they looked at each other.

    “If it’s about their freedom, why were the ladies Princess Hana discarded sheding tears?” Mei asked and there rest nodded.

    “Because it’s not really freedom. Once they are discarded, they become the palace’s maid, not a personal maid anymore.” I said.

    “It doesn’t sound like a worse thing.” Akira said and I smriked.

    “It Is because they are no more recognized as the princess’s maid but just a regular maid. They are no more seen with the Princess and they can’t go anywhere close to them.” I explained further and they all heaved.

    “This is insane!” Mei said and we all looked at her.

    “Mei can you please stop acting like an hero for us, but rather be the hero that would save your own life.” Akira said angrily.

    “There is no life here Akira. Don’t you get it? We are captives, slaves. We were free humans two days ago and now we are bathing for someone.” Mei said and they bowed their head.

    “I understand your grief Mei. Trust me, I did worse than you are doing right now. But I had to move on, accept my fate. I decided to find happiness where there is sadness.” I said going down the memory lane. Back to when I first met my husband.

    “And you begot Aaron in that sadness.” Akira stated and I nodded.

    “My found my husband here too. We was the guards of the king. We kept our relationship secret, until I got pregnant of Aaron and the king began to question him.”

    “The king later found out about our affair, and sent him out to the battlefield where he never came back to me.” I said and my eyes heated up.

    “He died in the battlefield.” Mei said and I nodded.

    “But above that I still have my son Aaron with me. He reminds me so much about my husband. His physique, his face and the way he talks.” I said smiling.

    “I bet your husband was very handsome then.” Akira said smiling and I nodded staring into space, as I remembered his face.

    “So it’s a crime to have a lover among the maids?” Vanna asked and I nodded.

    “We are not to have an affair here.” I said and Mei rolled her eyes.

    “Too many stupid rules. So if you aren’t supposed to have an affair with your co-workers, who are you supposed to have an affair with? The Royals?” Vanna asked and I shook my head.

    “That’s a death wish Vanna. You have no right to have anything doing with the Royals.” I said standing up.

    “So we are not supposed to love all our lives?” Akira asked and I nodded.

    “Not when you are still in this palace. It’s a dearg sentence.”

    “I should get to other new maids too. You two stay out of trouble.” I said walking to the door when I remembered we have an occasion today.

    “Lest I forget, the palace would be needing our services again today. Princess Katika is visiting the palace today. We all have to be present.” I said.

    “Who is princess Katika?” Akira asked.

    “You will know soon.” I said finally walking out of the room.

                          ARJUN 

    I walked out of my chamber looking as handsome as ever. I wore one of my best robes, though I didn’t want to but mother forced me.

    I was walking down the third floor when I met Hana and few of her maids, on her way to the meeting room. She didn’t look very happy and I think I know why.

    “Can’t you at all pretend to be happy for Niran?” I asked as soon as I caught up with her.

    “I can’t. You know how much I hate that lady. She is just so full of herself.” She said and I smiled. 

    “You need to be at your best character. Mother has warned already.” I said and she rolled her eyes.

    “I didn’t promise her that. If she steps on my toes, I am going to put her in her place.” She said and I laughed.

    Seeing her that way makes me laugh, because I know she is the only nice and gentle person in our home. 

    But seeing her like this makes me laugh. For the first time I looked at the maids that were with her and to my surprise, it was the new ones.

    I looked at Akira for some seconds before looking away. Her head was bowed and her hands folded in front of her.

    “Why did you choose the new ones to escort you? They are yet to know how things are done. I don’t want them getting into trouble.” I whispered into Hana’s ear.

    “Them into trouble? Or her into trouble?” She asked smiling.

    “What? No! That’s not what i am saying.” I denied looking away.

    “Don’t worry Arjun, they will be at their best character. They know what to do.” She said and I nodded reluctantly.

    “I just hope Niran forgives the one that spilled that drink on him.” I said and heaved.

    “He had to, cause I won’t let him do any harm to her nor Vanna. Those two are just so beautiful and quiet.” She said and I looked back at them again.

    They were feets away from us at the back, so I bet they heard our discussion.

    “Yeah. She is beautiful.” I mumbled to myself making sure Hana didn’t hear me.

    We got to the throne where father was seated and we stood next to him, at the bottom.

    “The Princess is coming in!” An announcer said loudly and the rest of the people stood up.

    I looked at Niran and I saw how handsome he looked. His hair was styled and his robe was on hell of a robe.

    Though his facial expression wasn’t showing happy to me. I was standing next to him so I could whisper into his ears. 

    “Try smiling, your wife to be is coming in.” I whispered in his ears and he bent his head to look at me.

    “I am trying okay?” He said within gritted teeth and faced his front. 

    I was about facing the approaching Princess Katika when my eyes landed on Akira again.

    What I couldn’t understand was why I was always getting lost when I look at her. It was like something was drawing me to her or something.

    I didn’t understand the feeling at all. 

    “Arjun, bow.” Hana whispered touching me, so as to bring my wandered off spirit back into the palace.

    I made my bow, and when I rose up my head, I saw her smiling widely. She walked to Hana and Hana gave her kisses on the cheeks.

    She walked again and stopped in front of me. I took her hand and kissed it smiling. 

    She smiled and walked to where Niran was. I was about concentrating on their greetings, when I noticed they was another Royal blood with her.

    I stared at the lady and I noticed she looked like Katika, but more beautiful and less witchy in sight. 

    I could see and feel her staring at my and I furrowed my brows wondering why.

    I moved my eyes away from her and it landed on Akira before I could control myself again. 

    This time her head was up and as soon as I looked at her our eyes locked.

    I looked away quickly trying to concentrate on whatever Katika not her sister was doing.

    I can’t be caught staring at her, if not her end has come. But I just can’t control it. 

    My eyes keep looking at her itself.

    (One Month Later)

    (At The Graveyard )

    I squeezed my eyes shut then open it as I lay down on the grass and gazed up to the sky

    “Eric, I think there’s a lot for me to figure out myself and I don’t think I can do this alone ” I muttered to myself

    “You’re here?? A familiar voice said and I turned my head to see who it was

    It is Eve

    “Are you done with the dance practice?? I asked as I watched her put a bouquets on Eric’s grave, she muttered something then she turned to look at me

    “Not really” She said and sat down on the grass next to me

    Since the death of Eric, she has been my only best friend and I do live with her and her family, she helps me a lot and I do cherish her

    “What happened?? I asked

    “Let’s forget about that… Uhm Mina I heard that today is Kayla’s birthday ” She said making me scoffed

    “Today is 5th of june, how come today is her birthday?? I asked and Eve gave me a confusing look

    “What are you talking about??

    I looked at Eve and quickly jolted up

    “Remember the video I showed you last time??

    “About Chairman Wol bin late wife saying she wants to name her daughter Mina??

    “Yes and according to what I heard, she died after giving birth ” I said and Eve nodded

    “And what about that??

    “She died on 29th of may and that was the day she gave birth so how come Kayla is celebrating her birthday on 5th of june and why is her name kayla instead of Mina?? I asked and Eve let out a sigh

    “Mina you’ve been asking me this question for some days now, how am I suppose to know?? You shouldn’t worry about that but you should worry about how to win back CJ instead ” She said and I look away

    “Why should I worry about him??

    “You’re carrying his baby for crying out loud” Eve said and I stood up..

    “I have a lot to figure out rather than worrying about someone who use and dump me” I said and was about to go but Eve stopped me

    “There must be a reason why he did that, I know that CJ loves you and….

    “Enough Eve, you shouldn’t talk about me trying to win back a married man ” I said and with that I walked away trying to avoid any more of CJ talk

    Kayla’s POV

    “Happy birthday to you my daughter ” My dad said but he is not happy with it(not like I care)

    “Thank you daddy” I said and gave him a tight hug

    I quickly disengage the hug and smile brightly at him but his face look somehow

    “Dad, I hope the flowers I gave you are still in your room” I asked and he nodded “So what did the doctor said about your condition??

    “The doctor said I will be okay “

    “What about your eyes?? Is it getting better?? I asked and he nodded

    I continue to look at me and smile to myself

    I can’t wait to be the heiress to the empire group

    Father you just wait while you die slowly

    The flowers in your room will affect you badly

    “So what about CJ?? I hope he is fine too” My dad asked and I nodded

    “Sure he is, we are happy with each other and we love ourselves very much ” I said knowing fully well that it was a lie

    After I and CJ got married, he has always been sleeping in hotel and not in the house, he won’t even bother to wear the wedding ring, the day I asked him why he wasn’t wearing it, he told me he had lost it

    He still act as if I am nobody and the reason is because he is still in love with Mina which I clearly know because I have caught him countless of time always staring at her pictures.

    I can’t lose him to that bitch

    Eve’s POV

    It wasn’t too long that I left the Graveyard when I got a text message from Claire

    Claire is one of the nurses working in Seoul National Hospital where Eric died, I met her at the park few weeks ago and I helped her with something that was bothering her and we became friends

    Hi Eve, pls I need to talk to you… It is very important… It is about Eric

    My eyes widened

    Eric??

    What did he want to tell me about Eric?? Eric is dead so what is it that she wanted to tell me??

    Author’s POV

    The music was loud and everyone was dancing to the beat, Kayla tried hard as possible to get CJ to dance with her but he declined

    “CJ, C’mon we’re married now and today is your wife’s birthday, don’t you think you sh….

    “I’m just not in the mood” He said cutting her short

    “But you should at least….. “She stopped when she realized everywhere was silent and the music had stopped

    “What happened?? She asked and then spun around to see her worst nightmare

    “Mina”

    “Why did you stop the music?? Mina asked as she looked around “ohh you guys are surprised to me because I am not invited?? “

    “Mina?? CJ whispered as he was shocked

    “Hey Mina what’re you doing here?? See this” Kayla said as she flashed her left hand before Mina “I and CJ are married, he is mine and I am his, today is my birthday and I don’t think I invited you here ” Kayla said and Mina spun around as she took a glass cup and pour herself a drink

    “Well…. Congratulation to you both ” Mina said “I hope you have a baby very soon or…. CJ hasn’t make a move yet?? Mina said and everyone looked at one another

    Kayla clenched her fist and move closer to Mina

    “Get out ” She said

    “What if I don’t want to?? ” Mina asked

    “Mina leave ” CJ said and Mina looked at him, Kayla smiled to herself

    Mina glared at him and angrily pour her drink on CJ and everyone was shocked

    “Don’t you dare alter my name from your mouth ” She said and then glared at Kayla

    “I only came here to have a private talk with your wife and not with you “Mina said and CJ was quite embarrassed and sad as he swallowed his spit hard.

    “There’s nothing left for me and you to talk in private, anything you want to say then feel free to say it here in public ” Kayla said and Mina smirked

    “Are you sure??…. Well if that’s what you want then I will say it”

    “I…… ” She was about to talk when she receive a text message

    “The result is out? ” She read out aloud and Kayla arched her brow

    “I am sorry but I guess we have to talk about it later ” She said then she looked at CJ before walking away

    Kayla knew Mina is trying to find out something and the result of what she is looking for is out

    What could it be??

    CJ quietly left the party and ran after Mina

    “Mina… ” he called and she stopped

    “What do you want?? it is not adviceable for a married man to leave his wife alone on her birthday party ” Mina said and CJ looked at her hair not knowing what to say

    “I don’t love Kayla and the marriage was a mistake.. I…

    “You don’t need to explain anything, I am not in the mood to listen to your explanation ” She said and was about to walk away but CJ held her hand

    She felt something and her heart began to beat fast, his touch was something else and she quickly jerk her hand off

    “This should be the last time you will be touching me ” Mina warned..

    “Mina even if I am married, don’t forget the fact that you’re still mine and I was the one that bought you… ” He said making Mina to scoffed

    “Of course you bought me to use me and then dump me later.. Don’t worry I will pay you back your money and…

    “Enough ” CJ yelled

    “CJ you don’t have the fucking right to shut me up ” Mina yelled back

    “Mina I love you very much and I want to be next to you everytime but I don’t know why.. I am beginning to regret why I chose my family reputation over my own heart, I wish you can wait for me until everything is settled, I don’t want to be with Kayla, I can’t wait to divorce her and end everything with her but how am I going to face you when you realize it was my mother that killed your blood mother ” CJ thought

    Mina continue to look at him as everywhere was silent

    “If you have nothing to say then I will take my leave now ” She said and walked away

    Kayla was looking at them through the window, she knew mina was definetely up to something and she must get to know what she’s up to

    “I’m sorry doctor but I am actually feeling guilty about this, I don’t know why you lied about that, I don’t know who you’re working for but I want you turn yourself in” Claire said and the doctor raised his eyebrow

    “Meaning??

    “You’re responsible for Eric’s death, I found out everything and I can’t keep this anymore… Eric never had leukemia, he had 86% of surviving but you lied to him that had leukemia, he was only suffering from lung problem due to the poison he has been taking or perhaps someone is giving him the poison but instead of you telling him the truth you lied to him and continue to give him fake drugs resulting to his death… You killed him” Claire said hurtfully

    “Woah… That’s so great of you knowing it all… Is that why you come to my house?? The doctor asked

    “Yes Doc because I can’t keep this anymore, I would like if you turn yourself in” She said and the doctor stood up

    “You’re right… I am working for someone and the person has been the one secretly giving him poison damaging his lungs because the person want him dead, the person offer me a huge amount of money which I can’t resist so I have no other option than to do according to the person’s will, Yes Eric shouldn’t have die but he died anyway “

    “That’s so cruel of you… You’re such a monster…. ” Claire said and was about to leave not until she screamed as she felt something hit her hard on the head

    “I am sorry claire but I can’t let you ruin my life ” The doctor said as he watched Claire fall down on the floor as blood started gushing out of her head

    I was patiently waiting for Claire and i don’t know what is taking her so long.

    What is it that she wanted to tell me about Eric??

    Why did she have to leave me in so much suspense??

    I dialed her number but it was switched off

    Is Eric alive?? Did they hide him somewhere??

    Gosh!!! That’s impossible but what exactly did she want to tell me??

    “Where are you going?? Kayla asked as CJ was about to step out of the room

    “You don’t need to know ” CJ answered and Kayla quickly obstruct him by standing in front of him

    “CJ why are you like this?? Don’t you know you’re hurting me?? It’s been a month that we’re both married but you haven’t spend a single night with me?? Why??

    “Kayla you of all people should know that the marriage was against my will and you should know the only girl i do love is…

    “Mina?? Kayla said cutting him short and she sighed “CJ i am now your wife and also don’t you see how she disgraced you today??

    “That’s because i deserve it “

    “CJ you’re mine and nobody can take you away from me ” Kayla said

    “We’ll see about that ” CJ said and with that he left

    Kayla clenched her fist as she kept thinking about how to get rid of Mina

    Mina’s POV

    I shut my eyes and then let out a sigh as i opened it

    The doctor gave me the envelope which i quickly open, i brought out the result and my eyes widened

    “I am sorry to say but the hair you brought and yours did not match at all stating you are not related to her “

    My jaw dropped and i was beyond shocked as tears manage to rolled down my cheeks

    So she’s not my mother??

    I squeezed the paper as i held my chest as i could feel it beating fast

    Everything was a lie, all my entire life was a lie

    If she’s not my biological mother then who could it be??

    I quickly ran out of the hospital and went to the park as i look for a quiet place and started crying bitterly

    Why did she have to pretend that she’s my real mother all this while??

    I need to know how much she has been hiding from me

    Author’s POV

    When CJ got out of the car, a little girl quickly ran to him, she was licking sweet and she stretched forth her hand as she gave CJ a letter

    Immediately CJ collected it from her, the little girl ran away

    “Wait… ” CJ yelled but the girl was out of sight

    CJ opened the letter and was baffled

    “Hello CJ

    Not only will i reveal your parents secret but i will also let Mina know everything about who killed her biological mother, if you don’t want that then i want you to send a sex video of you and your wife to this Number… I only give you 7hrs or else……..

    CJ looked if he can see the little girl whi gave him the letter but he can’t find her.

    When i got to Chairman Wol bin house, i couldn’t go in because the guards wouldn’t let me

    “I need to go inside, i need to discuss something with him” I half yelled but they didn’t care

    “Let her in” Someone said and i turned to see an aged woman, she smiled at me and the guards nodded and allowed me to enter.

    I looked back at the woman and she kept smiling at me, it really felt weird and i quickly ignore her

    When i got inside the house, it was breathtaking and everywhere was quiet, i was expecting to see two or three maids but i didn’t see any of them

    “Why can’t they attend to me?? I thought then my eyes caught something

    It was a picture of Chairman Wol bin’s wife

    I walked towards it and glanced at it then i recalled about the video saying her daughter name will be Mina

    Different thought flashed through my mind and i quickly ignore the thought.

    I was about to take a turn when i heard someone groaning in pain.. I paused for some seconds

    The person was in pain… I think…

    I wanted to call one of the guards but it might be too late so i quickly ran upstairs

    The sound was coming from that room i guess…

    I stood in front of the room and held the door knob, i dragged it down.. Thankfully it wasn’t locked

    I quickly entered and my eyes was wide opened as i see Chairman Wol bin rubbing his eyes and groaning in pain, i quickly rushed to him and drop to a squat next to him

    “Ar… Are.. yo.. you… Okay?? I asked

    “Who are you?? He asked as he continue to rub his eyes

    “What happened to you.. What is…. ” I paused as something caught my attention

    I slowly stood up asi walked towards his cabinet, next to it was beautiful flowers.

    I was startled as i recalled what the Flower is

    Flash Back

    “Don’t touch it” Eric yelled and Mina pouted

    “Why?? She yelled back

    “Aish…. You see why school is important.. Don’t you know that Flower is poisonous” Eric said and Mina scoffed

    “How can this beautiful flower be poisonous. Huh??

    Eric let out a sigh and knocked her on her forehead

    “Ouch… What’s the meaning of that??

    “Not everything you see that you touch, the flower is poisonous, they normally use it to kill the maidens in the palace, that is in the olden days “

    “You said it yourself.. Olden days but wait how did they use it??

    “Simple, they put the flowers in their room, the more they perceive it, the more it affect them, it affect the eyes first and if care Isn’t taking, it will affect the heart leading to their death and no one can find out how they died ” Eric said and Mina just continue to look at the Flower

    ‘That’s unfair ” She muttered

    Mina’s POV

    “Hey leave this room now… What have you done?? Someone yelled bringing me back to reality

    I looked around to see so many guards and maids in the room

    I quickly carried the vase which the flower was inside

    “Who gave him this?? I asked but there was no response

    “I said who gave him this??

    “You should drop that, it was given to him by his daughter ” Someone replied and i was shocked

    “Ka.. Kayla?? I whispered

    My heart skipped as Akira spilled the wine on Niran. If Father wasn’t in a good mood, that would have been the end of her and I would have done nothing about it, whereas it was all my fault.

    “You were staring brother.” Hana whispered to my ears and I turned my head to look at her.

    “Of course not.” I denied keeping a straight face.

    “I saw you. And you staring at her almost cost her her life. You should be careful.” She whispered and I sighed.

    “It isn’t what you think, and I never meant for her to get into trouble.” I whispered to her ears and she nodded.

    “I know Arjun. But our big brother doesn’t see it that way.” She said and I turned my head to look at Niran.

    I could see anger in his eyes, and I knew he wanted nothing less than for father to order for her head to be fed to the dogs.

    He stood up all of a sudden and walked out of the party. I looked at Hana and she sighed shaking her head.

    “Akira is already marked by Niran. And you know what that means.” She said and I bowed my head. It was all my fault.

    “I will talk to him.” I said standing up and running after him. I caught up with him on the way to his Chamber on the forth floor.

    “Niran.” I called and he stopped without looking back.

    “Didn’t you see what Father just did? He spared that lady who didn’t deserve to be spared.” He said angrily and I walked to his front.

    “Niran that was a silly mistake and Father saw that too okay?” I muttered and he shook his head negatively.

    “No. Father spared her because he was too happy to kill, not considering the fact that I was just mocked by that filty thing. She spilled Wine on me, on Prince Niran’s apparel. There is no mercy for that.” He said and I breathed out not knowing what to say anymore.

    “Niran I know you are angry, and she ought to pay. But since Father gave her another chance, you should to. And the next time she acts like that, I will be there to support you.” I said and he looked at the throne again where father was seated.

    “Well that’s exactly what I want. That she crosses my path and Father gives her that judgement he should have given her today.” He said walking away. 

    I turned to look at him as he walked away. I know Niran is this heart hardened man. Akira must do anything in her power to about him.

    If not, she would be killed. And I can’t let that happen. I need to warn her. I began to walk back to the party when I saw Nikita walking towards me.

    “Nikita.” I called stopping her and she bowed her head immediately.

    “We need to talk.” I said taking a turn away from the party and she followed me. We got to a corner where no one was and I stopped walking and faced her.

    “I’m all ears my Prince.” She said with her head bowed.

    “I need you to place a warning to the new ladies brought in. You saw what just happened with one of them, and I think they are your responsibility now.” I said and she nodded.

    “What do you need me to do?” She asked calmly.

    “You need to tell them to stay away from trouble. Most especially away from Niran if they love their lives. He hates them now, and if they cross his path next time, he won’t hesitate to execute them.” I said and she nodded.

    “I will do exactly what you have asked of me. And I am sorry about Akira’s foolishness.” She said with her head bowed and I nodded.

    “You should tell that to Niran. He was the one that got messed up.” I said walking away. I walked back to the party and sat next to Hana.

    “How was your chat?” She asked and I sipped my wine.

    “She is still on the edge of his anger. If she doesn’t any little thing to him, or anyone, he would execute her.” I said and she nodded.

    “I think she should just be a good girl then.” She said.

    “I hope so.” I mumbled staring into space.

                        NIKITA 

    I got to their room and opened the door, I walked in to meet Akira sobbing on the bed.

    “Akira.” I called and she sprang to her feet at the sound of my Voice.

    “I am so sorry Ma’am Nikita. I didn’t know what happened.” She mumbled in tears.

    “No one knows when mistakes are going to happen. But in this Place, ruled by Maeko, you need to be extra careful and do without mistakes if you want to live.” I said and she nodded sadly.

    “I acted stupid and I almost got beheaded. It’s terrifying.” She muttered in tears.

    “I know Akira, and that’s why I am here. To warn you never to make that mistake or any mistakes again because you won’t be spared.”

    “You are my responsibility now. And anything that happens to you is all my fault here. So I have come to warn you, do what is right and stay away from troubles. Not from only Prince Niran, but from everyone.” I explained and she nodded cleaning her eyes.

    “Don’t you think I should go apologize to the prince after some hours? Maybe he would listen and would have calmed down.” She said and my eyes widened.

    “You would so no such thing Akira. Going to his presence will trigger his anger even more. Prince Niran is the most complicated person in this palace.”

    “He doesn’t calm down. The same anger he is feeling right now, is the same he will feel when he keeps seeing you.” I said and I saw fear in her eyes. I could see fear radiate all over her body.

    “How are you so sure? Has this ever happened before?” She asked and I nodded.

    “Rhoda was to take food to him in his Chamber, she was careless and the she spilled the food right in front of Prince Niran.”

    “He was so angry, that he requested for her head. They did exactly as he ordered and the king could do nothing about it.” 

    “You should so thankful to your ancestors that this happened when the king is in his best moments, he would have left you to Prince Niran, and you would be dead by now.” I said and she began to shiver.

    “Does anyone even survive here at all?” She asked in frustration.

    “I am still surviving. Do as I tell you and everything will be just fine.” I said to her and she nodded slowly.

    “Thank you Ma’am Nikita.” She said and I smiled.

    “You should get back to the party.” I said and her eyes widened.

    “I don’t think that’s a good idea. Not after I just escaped a cruel death sentence. I don’t want to come face to face with the Prince again.” She said and i smiled.

    “Prince Niran left the Party in anger. And you can’t stay here when you have things to do out there. So pull yourself together, get back to work and make sure you don’t make an silly mistakes anymore. Two mistakes In a day can lead to death.” I said and she nodded.

    She reached for her jar which was empty already and carried it.

    “You should fill that up. You won’t stop serving wine till the Party is over, which is at dawn.”

    “I will pass the message I told you now to Mei and Vanna Tomorrow morning. They can’t get Into trouble under my watch, most especially Mei.”

    “I don’t know what to do with her. She is just so stubborn.” I mumbled sighing.

You watch him dehumanized me, treated me like an animal, disrespected, turned me into a crazy bitter woman. Oh God, you saw how Cole made a harlot, a servant, a robot out of me. You could have warned me…I know I was blinded in love but knowing the aftermath of it, you would have warned me… maybe through signs like the days of the Israelites or through your ordained servants. I will listen, I could have known what I was getting myself into. Goddd! I’m tired of living…I just don’t see reasons to move ahead everyday. Ever since Coleman announced he was expecting a baby from another woman, my life has not remain the same…is in shambles. I feel like I’m at the receiving end… Coleman made a big mockery out of me. Is hard to cope through… unexplainable hard…

    Florence wept while on her knee right in church. She cried heavily and refused speaking to pastor Josh that came to her aid due to the heavy cry.

    She pleaded to be alone and the pastor left her to be.

    Florence later drove home, Cole was around.

    He was arranging one of the guest room.

    She went to bed without speaking to him.

    The following day, she saw him still putting things in place.

    “What are you doing…are you expecting a guest?

    Florence managed to asked.

    “Yeah, not a guest anymore. Marina is family now because she is carrying my child. She will be coming over later today and will be staying here. I want to make it comfortable for her and my unborn child.

    Florence laughed out sarcastically

    “Coleman if someone told me in my dream that you will do this to me I could have greatly doubt it. You opened your gutter mouth to tell me that you are expecting a baby from another woman and very excited about it. You are the same man that told me not to get pregnant because you are not ready for responsibility and mess from kids. You made me take pills every time just to make sure I don’t fall pregnant. Before God and man, I was a good and obedient wife…I wanted to please you at all cost but this is where it brought me. You will live to regret this Coleman… for everything you made me go through… you will regret it except if I don’t serve a living God, except if I have ever wronged you or be a bad wife to you.     Cole barked and then continued.

    “… I didn’t ask Marina to get pregnant but since she is I can only protect what’s mine. Ever since her pregnancy, my love for kids has returned… I’m looking forward to having her and my baby close to me. By the way, aren’t you the same person that said something maybe wrong with me, I may not be able to pregnant a woman until I visit the doc and he induse me with drugs and injection. I thought is the same bible you read everytime that says children are blessings from God, blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.     He walked out and Florence fell to the ground and wept with a heavy heart.

    After a week Marina moved into the house. Florence visted her sister and told her all that was going on in her home.

    Susan asked her to leave Cole and his mistress and move on with her life because Cole doesn’t worth all the trouble that she was going through.

    “I have tried doing that Suzy, I packed my bags to leave but I couldn’t. I don’t know how to start all over or to love another man. Walking away from my almost five years of marriage has proven difficult but staying in that house, watching Cole and Marina drives me insane… deeply insane. Cole does not care if I stay or leave, Marina is all and all to him now. Suzy, I feel like a looser already. I have slowly become an unhappy woman. No child to call mine, I now share my husband with his soon to be baby mama. Marina deliberately gets on my nerve just to see my reaction. I’m still trying to summon courage to move on until my mind is made up, I can only live everyday at a time.

    “Flo, Leave that house before those two confused souls kill you. Marina has a mission and she is an inch away from getting there. Cole is foolish and doesn’t realize it yet.     Florence later went back home.

    Marina placed her two legs on Cole’s body as he sat massaging the legs while talking and laughing with her.

    Florence felt invisible, no one noticed or acknowledged her presence.

    They turned and looked at her before returning their attention back to what they were doing.

    Florence went into the kitchen, she made food in the morning before leaving.

    She couldn’t eat due to she had no appetite. She was hungry and went straight to her pot of food.

    She gasped out when she saw that the pot was almost empty.

    The remaining food in the pot looks like fowl food.

    Somebody even ate directly from the pot.

    Florence boils angrily as she rushed out to where Cole was sitting and watching the television with Marina.

    “Where are all the food I made this morning.

    She asked angrily.

    Marina looked up at her and began to laugh, Cole joins in the laughter.

    They returned their attention to the television while Cole continue to massage Marina’s leg.

    Florence went straight to were they were sitting, collected the remote control and turned off the television.

    “Now that I have your attention, who ate all the food I made this morning and even eat directly from the pot, leaving crumbs for me?

    “What has gotten into you Florence, are you crazy?

    Cole turned to her in annoyance.

    .”yes oo, very crazy. Are you just noticing it but that’s not the answer to my question. I said who…

    “I did, I ate the food…

    Marina interrupted. She continued.

    “…i told Cole that I was hungry and wanted the food you prepared because it smell so nice. He dished out for himself too and gave me mine. After an hour I was hungry again and asked him to bring the pot of food instead and he did. I didn’t finish it, I ate some of it and out of the kindness of my heart I remained for you. You understand my condition that as a pregnant woman I easily gets hungry and have cravens too. Oh, poor you… you have never been pregnant so you won’t understand.

    Florence rushed and slapped her across the face.

    Marina held her stomach screaming.

    Cole pushed Florence away, she fell on a wooden stool and bruised her hand after hitting head on it.

    she cried out in pain as she stood and charged towards Cole.

    She hit Cole but he pushed her off again. Florence began to destroy things in the living room.

    She threw one of the parlour stool on the flat screen TV and it broke into pieces.

    She took an iron stick and began smashing things in the house. Cole tries to hold her but she hit him with the iron, bruising his forehead.

    Marina ran into the room and lock up the door.

    Their security man was knocking, the man rushed in but Cole sent him out and warns him never to interfere ever again.

    “Florence, stop this madness or I will throw you out of this house. Go somewhere else and display your crazy style, this is not a psychiatric home. Look… you’re destroying my properties, scaring my unborn baby and the mother. Florence you are lucky because I don’t beat women, I could have broken your ribs for all this display of madness in my house.

    “You dares not Coleman Spence. any day you raise a finger at me, I will uproot those untamed balls in between your legs, cook it with pepper and salt and serve it to you as dinner. I have had enough humiliation from you. A serial cheat, liar, woman beater and pretender like you. Your abuse, your disrespect and many other wicked act against me is coming to an end. Your whore is lucky that she ran away and locked herself up, I would have done emergency operation for her today, oh bet me Cole, Marina could have delivered a premature baby tonight for you…

    Cole’s heart was beating so fast as he saw the fire in Florence eyes. She was vibrating angrily, displaying the crazy aspect of her that Cole wasn’t used to.

    “If you won’t stay here in peace and leave Marina alone then leave, the door is open.

    Cole finally said.

    “Are you trying to throw me out of the house because of your harlot?

    Cole knew if he says yes, Florence will go telling everyone that cares to listen that she was thrown out by her husband because of another woman who’s pregnant for him.

    “I’m not throwing you out Florence but if you won’t stay peacefully, considering Marina’s condition and accommodating her and her excesses then the door is open. Marina is carrying my child and nothing must happen to her or my baby. Pamper her, let her do or eat whatever she feels like. Is her hormones that are raging, not her. You don’t understand what it feels like to be pregnant that is why you keep reacting like a mad bitter woman. Get yourself together and accept what you can’t change.

    Florence bite her lip as Cole mentioned that she doesn’t know what it feels like to be pregnant and that is the reason for her bitterness.

    She suddenly became tired. Florence walked away.

    She allowed the day to break, got dressed for work early, she picked few of her stuffs into a bag, took her car key and walked away.

    Cole didn’t stop her from going, he just watched her leave.

    After the drama and altercation with Cole, Florence began to regret.

    There was no need for everything she displayed in the house.

    It was a real waste of energy and time.

    She could moved out long ago before things escalate to this.

    Moving out will give her time to think of what exactly she wants to do with her life.

    Florence was hoping he won’t have the gut to repeat it again but he did.

    “Florence, I have said it twice already but since you pretend not to hear or understand me, I will say it again. Will you mind if Marina joins us in bed tonight… Is a new modernized way for sexholics like us to enjoys a sexathon bedtime, that’s a long period of sex. In other words is called threesome.     Florence stormed out angrily.

    She drove out and kept hitting the steering wheel hard. She was almost running crazy and can’t keep it together anymore.

    Driving down to see her mother inlaw took the whole day.

    She was residing in another city and it was indeed a very long drive before she finally arrived.

    Cole’s elder sister was around with her mother when she walked in. His elder sister’s daughter was watching kid’s show.

    Florence said to her.

    Betty spoke from where she sat, chewing gum loudly and filing her long nails.

    “Listen Florence, my brother is a hot guy… many ladies will kill to have him. Since you are lucky to have him you should be grateful and stop complaining. He didn’t ask you to kill anyone just normal sexual fun and you are forming righteous. If you are not careful another Lady will eventually win him over.     Florence was in shock of everything she just heard both from her mother and sister inlaw.

    “Wow… what a family. I’m not surprised at Cole’s crazy mentality. Cole said it all, and indeed it was a waste of time but I’m glad that we had this conversation. I can see it takes blood and sweat just to be this almighty “Mrs Spence”. And for the record, ask your son, madam Gold why he refused getting me pregnant. In his defense he doesn’t want a child yet…he isn’t ready for such responsibility. Like Betty assumed, the fault isn’t from me. Like I said earlier, I’m happy to have wasted my time for nothing. Atleast I can take whatever necessary measure that will give me peace of mind.

    Florence stormed out. She ignored whatever madam Gold and Betty was saying.

    She lodged in a hotel because it was late and left the following morning.

    Cole was calling her that night but she ignored his call.

    When she arrived home the following day,

    The whole house was in disarray again.

    Marina was sitting with her leg crossed and was watching the television.

    “Finally, you re back. I’m hungry and have been craving for good food. Florence, please fix something for us to eat.

    Marina said but Florence pretend not to hear a word she said.

    “Florence, where did you pass the night? You have been away since yesterday and refused to pick my calls.

    Cole barked at her, Florence replied.

    “I drove down to see your mother, fortunately your sister Betty who her husband just kicked out and also asking for divorce was around too. We had a nice conversation and thanks for your previous warning about your mother not paying attention to whatever I have to say. You were absolutely right darlin.

    “How happy that they gave you a taste of what they can do. And I can decide to kick you out just like Betty husband did to her if you continue like this. Don’t you ever insult any members of my family. Look around this house, is disorganized and there’s no food again left… tidy up the house and make something for me to eat.

    Marina showed up by the door and said.

    “Yea, Mr Spence is right. I’m really famished. And I know Mr Spence will also be very hungry… Florence, please when will you start the cooking.

    Florence laughed out loudly for a very long time.

    Cole and Marina stare at her.

    “You and your Mr Spence are two funny folks. Marina, since we are both sharing my husband and also sharing my matrimonial bed, let’s also share the cleaning of the house, the cooking and other chores. I’m off this month, I hand it over to you and you can also have the title of Mrs Spence, I’m about to retire from that too.

    She was about to walk away but Cole forcefully drew her back.

    She angrily lifted her hand and slapped him on the cheek.

    Cole was shocked, his jaw dropped because his wife has never done such before.

    He screamed out her name.

    “Florence???

    Florence charged towards him and replied.

    “Yes, Mr Spence? Listen to me Cole, you have pushed me to the wall far too long, watch out for the clap back because is going to be really messy.

    She started walking towards the door,

    Marina ran back thinking Florence was coming for her.

    “I think i should just leave, I will go and pick my stuffs and be going… Mr Spence will no longer be needing my service here…I..wi…

    Marina said while moving back from Florence.

    Eve was sitting in front of me and everywhere was silent making me feel uncomfortable

    CJ’s POV

    When I got inside, I met Chu Jung sitting down on the couch talking about the weddings and everyone was paying attention.

    What is wrong with them??

    Chu Jung just appear from nowhere and they don’t even care to ask her what really happen, what she has been passing through, what she is up to??

    I am definitely sure she’s up to something, this is not the chu Jung I know.

    I recalled when she said she was responsible for Mina’s kidnap

    “I’m talking to you… Where are you lost?and stop cursing. It’s a bad manners… And you know that?” She scolded me with stern voice making me recall when she do shout at me for doing something wrong but this time I am sure I am doing the right thing

    “Listen, I’ve to go.” I whispered impatiently

    “Mom, try to understand that I’m not ready for this marriage…please don’t force me.” I said irritated more with the

    “Listen CJ, you will be getting married to Kayla and that’s final ” Chu Jung said as she held my hand to make me sit on couch

    but this made me angry and I went out of control.

    “It shows you didn’t care if chu Jung is alive or not because all you care is forcing me into a marriage even after seeing the greatest shock of your life that Chu jung which we thought was dead has been alive all this while?? How did she survive the fire outbreak?? If she wasn’t the person we buried then who do we buried?? Why did she came back into the house wearing mask and pretended to be a maid?? Huh?? Can’t you guys ask her that?? I am not your only child so focus on her too ” I said and turned to Kayla

    ‘You should give up because I will never marry you ” I said and with that I walked away feeling relaxed for pouring my feelings out.

    I need to go to Gwanju now

    When I got to Gwanju, I was beyond surprised to see my mom in a perfect and happy mood, she hugged me tightly and ask me to come inside the restaurant.

    Everything seems okay so why did she call me urgently

    There was no one in the restaurant except a guy who was playing game with Mimi, I didn’t see the guy face because he was backing me

    Mimi looked up and when she saw me, she smiled and ran towards me and I gave her a hug.

    She started pulling me towards the stranger and that is I got to see the stranger

    He’s a handsome guy with a toned figure, messy dark drown hair and vivid blue eyes

    “Mom, I m not going to do this…” Mina shouted in anger.

    “You have to because you don’t have any other option and for your kind information, I’m not asking you… I’m telling you to do this.” Mina’s mom said in no-nonsense tone.

    “I can’t believe you call me because of this and what makes you think I will be getting married to him? She asked annoyed.

    “Because this is the right time and He is a right person for you.” Her Mom said while folding his arms across her chest.

    “And how are you so sure, that HE IS A RIGHT PERSON FOR ME.” Mina asked sarcastically while folding her arms across her chest, just mimicking her dad.

    They are forcing marriage with the person she is in love with and now her mom is trying to do the same

    “Because I know him personally and more over, I am your mom .. And I very well know what is right for you.” Her mother retorted back in anger, ending their conversation…

    “But mom…”

    “No more arguments Mina.” She said in stern tone.

    “Urghh…” she groaned in frustration and then took deep breath in to calm herself because she knows her mother is not going to back out if she decides something.

    “Ok fine… I’m ready…” she said after thinking for some time making her mom little relieved, but before that she could become happy on her victory, she continued,

    “But…?” She asked confused furrowing her eyebrows.

    “I have a condition.” She said with slight smirk while looking at the direction where the guy was sitting some meters away from her

    “And…what is that?” She asked with doubtful tone,

    because she very well knows Mina. Something is really cooking in her mind.

    “Well… Before taking any decision regarding this, I would like to see him… Alone.” She said while emphasizing word ‘alone’ with seriousness in her tone.

    Her mother got shocked hearing her condition, she was sure by

    now that something is seriously in Mina little brain. She is up to something and she can’t let that happen.

    “No… you are not going to see him alone.” Her mom denied.

    “But mom… How could you do this to me… I mean, this is about my whole life and I have every right to take decisions of my life.” she argued back seeing her plan going to be flop.

    “Mom, the only person I am in love with is CJ and….

    I was really getting bored with the unnecessarily talks, the guy who called himself Justin is just too annoying for my liking.

    I don’t know what has gotten into my mom??

    Why would she want me to get marry against my will??

    “Justin.. what’s your type of girl?” My mom asked and I looked at the guy

    “Uhm… A girl who is reliable,indepe

    ndent,strong,brave,caring,cute,playful,has a good heart,trustworthy,and a girl that will accept me for who I am.” He answered.

    He did his best to describe his type of girl

    “Well Justin, Mina is more than those words you said” My mother said and I shot her a glance

    This is really getting out of hand

    ” Mina, you’re truly amazing and I love you ” Justin said as he smiled at me making me force a smile back at him

    “How can you love someone you’re seeing for the first time?? I muttered to myself and my mom kicked me with her leg getting me annoyed

    “Okay, here it is… I am not getting marry to this boring guy.. Okay?? I half yelled as i stood up and mom was surprised with the way I acted

    “Mina, do you just yelled at me??

    “Sorry…” I apologized to all for my outburst, as my mother’s words registered in my mind

    “…and mom, please stop behaving like I’m a five years old boy.” I said irritated with my mom’s behavior.

    “Whatever…” I said as i rolled my eyes on her.

    “Listen, mom, it’s better if you ask this guy to leave because I won’t get marry to him… Final .” I said again impatiently, without caring why the guy was here in the first place

    I stormed out from there but not before glaring at my mom in displeasure. Getting inside a room, I shut the door with loud thud.

    Mina was pacing in Mimi’s room from here to there all frustrated. She was so much annoyed with the fact that her mom wants her to meet a guy, whom she had chosen for her.

    ” Can you believe it?… Means we lived in 21st century, where parents has the right to choose the life partner of their children by themselves” Mina said

    She is not saying that her mom had chosen a bad guy for her…but the fact is, she is not ready for the marriage… at least not for now because she’s in love with someone else now

    And more over that she is not ready for arrange marriage. According to her this whole concept of ARRANGE MARRIAGE is bullshit. She always wonders that, how come two total stranger persons will live together for their whole life?

    She always dreamt for a love marriage. She wanted to choose a perfect guy as her partner., and the perfect guy is CJ, the only guy that has won her heart.. But now her mom wanted her to meet a guy for a marriage, about whomshe didn’t know anything…but his name.

    “Ummm…What was his name again ..?” she asked herself aloud in frustration

    ” Justin.. Yes… Mimi can you believe this?? .” She asked her sister who was sitting on the bed

    Mimi hadn’t has any other option than just sitting there and hearing all this silently looking at her sister who just kept blabbering

    Mina put her hands on her hips and let out a sigh

    “CJ parents are trying to force him to marry someone whom he is not in love with, that goes for me too… This is really ridiculous and now CJ is acting dumb …. Oh gosh ” Mina said as she lay down on the bed next to her sister

    “Mimi.. Life is so unfair ” Mina groaned

    Mimi brought out a paper and wrote something down then she tapped on Mina’s shoulder to read it

    Mina sat upright and looked at what she wrote

    “Mom has been acting weird lately since a rich man started seeing her “

    Mimi stood up and opened her wardrobe then she brought out her small camera

    Mina’s mom excused herself as she stood up then someone entered, she was surprised to see CJ

    She walked up to him and smiled

    “I am fine dear.. Err what about your fiancee?? She asked and CJ raised his brow

    “Fiancee?? Who are you talking about?? Hr asked looking confused

    “I heard her name is kayla and you two are getting marry ” She said with a smile and CJ shook his head “also look at the guy over there, that is Mina’s husband to be” She added while pointing at Justin

    CJ jaw dropped and he was beyond shocked

    “Wh… What.. d.. d.. do you.. me.. mean by Mina’s husband to be?? He stammered

    Just then Mina came out together with her sister and she was startled to see CJ

    “CJ.. ” She called

    The look on his face show that her mom had already told him about Justin

    “Mina.. You should go and meet your lover, he has been waiting for you ” Mina’s mom said and Mina clenched her fist

    “Don’t worry, I will take care of your guest ” Mina’s mom said referring to CJ while Mina angrily went to where Justin was sitting.

    CJ ‘s POV

    After some minutes of Mina’s mom telling me about Mina getting married

    I can’t stop the thoughts from occurring in my head. It’s driving me fucking mental.

    My Mina… She’s mine. No one else’s.

    She is happy that I will be getting married to Kayla but not her daughter.

    I love Mina and I can’t stand it seeing her with another guy

    I just can’t help it though; she’s fucking mine. She needs to fucking know it. Understand it. Embrace it. Appreciate it.

    I can’t focus. All I can focus on is the puny shit’s look of pure desire, him touching her arm. I know she loves me but nothing stops me from being a jealous prick. I can rationalise all I like but I can never, ever put my mind at rest.

    They were a little too close together for my liking.

    Jeez, the guy even looks like a fucking douche; early 20’s, sandy blonde hair, average height for a guy and barely any muscle.

    Surely Mina won’t fall for his charm, I just kept

    Staring.

    Thinking.

    Looking.

    5 minutes has gone past and so far all he’s done is laugh… and laugh… and touch her fucking arm. I can see him gradually moving in closer but Mina is too naïve to notice.

    Another 15 minutes has gone past. I was right, he is moving

    slowly closer, daring the personal space boundaries even

    more than before. It’s like slow motion, every whisper touch, every twinkle in his eye, every smile his face fucking breaks

    into, every centimetre he is moving closer whilst I sit here like a fucking moron and watch it all unravel.

    I don’t know whether Mina is oblivious or just doesn’t care, but I am becoming sick to my fucking stomach watching this unravel. It’s killing me but I must endure this, watch how Mina reacts. I need to know if my insecurities are justified.

    I do honestly trust her.

    I wait another couple of minutes, my vision turning into slow

    motion as he leans in to place a kiss on her cheek

    He pecked on her cheeks off guard

    Everything. My breathing increasing, muscles clenching and

    knuckles going white due to my vice like grip on the arm rests.

    I do not know how, but I sit there in this tense moment, my body in shock as I process what is painfully unfolding in front

    of me.

    Mina’s POV

    Justin kept talking to me but I just turn deaf ears to whatever he was saying.

    I looked at CJ and I could see that he was really feeling uncomfortable

    Why did he come?? I thought he finally chose to be marry Kayla

    “So that is how I manage to skip the test ” Justin said as he burst laughing but I didn’t even laugh talkless of smiling

    Doesn’t he understand that I don’t like him??

    I was waiting for the perfect timing when my mom is going to go inside the kitchen or somewhere in the restaurant for me to get the hell out of here

    After several minutes of talking, he lean close and pecked me on my cheeks, I was shocked then I looked at CJ.. the expression on his face was that of shock and anger

    My mom went to the kitchen…. Time to act fast

    “Sorry our meeting ends here ” I said as I stood up and went to where CJ was standing, I held his hand and we both make our way outside.

    “The car is over there ‘ He said but I just ignored him and held his hand tightly as we both started running.

    Manager Don’s POV

    I dialed the number and he answered immediately.

    “Hello, I want you to do me a Favour?? I said

    “Anything for you boss”

    “I want you to kill someone ” I said while looking at the picture in front of me

    “Who??

    “I will send the picture to you now and I want the person dead tonight ” I said

    “Money??

    “Everything will be taking care of, just make sure you get rid of the person.. Okay???

    Eve’s POV

    I peeped through the door as I looked at Eric, he was sitting down and writing something

    I wonder what he is writing that makes him focus like that??

    I stopped what I was doing and stood upright

    What am I doing??

    Am I stalking him or what??

    What is wrong with me?? Why is my heart beating so fast?? I thought as I touch my chest

    Suddenly the door unlocked as my eyes went wide in horror as only one word came out of my mouth.

    “Eric.. ..”

    “What’re you doing here?? He asked as he stared at me and I didn’t know what to say “is it manager Don??

    “No no.. Not at all” I said as I shook my head

    “Then what??

    “Uhmm… Can I take you out tonight?? I asked then quickly cover my mouth

    What is wrong with me?? Why did I say that??

    “You’re acting weird making me feel uncomfortable, if you want to repay me about last night then you don’t have to ” He said and walked away

    I felt heartbroken.. Did he just reject my offer??

    But why did I say that in the first place?? Am I perhaps asking him out on a date?? Noo that can’t be.

    I was still thinking when a figure stood in front of me

    I looked up to see Eric

    “Fine, I accept but you will be the one paying ” He said and with that he left

    I smiled to myself but why am I soo happy?? Why did I feel so safe around him??

    Perhaps have I falling in love with him?? Noo he is in love with someone else so I need to get my grip together

    CJ’s POV

    “Mina… Where are we going?? I asked but she just kept dragging me into the forest but she didn’t answer nor look at me

    The sounds of the water get louder with every step and when we walk out onto an open piece of land there is a waterfall, cascading down from the rocks above and landing in a fast stream of water leading to who knows where.

    She stopped and release my hand

    I saw tears in her eyes and I was surprised

    “Of course I love you so much and there’s nothing in this world that can stop me from loving you, I want to spend my entire life with you ” I said

    “Not even your sister?? She muttered

    “Yes.. Not even Chu Jung “

    She pulled away and looked at me

    ‘Then let’s do it ‘ She said and I was confused

    “Do what?? I asked

    “Impregnate me.. Let me carry your baby ” She said and I was beyond shocked

    “What!!!! I exclaimed “you want us to have sex?? No no Mina no…

    “CJ if you really love me then we have to do this or do you wish to see me marry that guy.. Huh?? She cried

    Immediately he remove the mask off my face, I quickly looked away..

    “CJ ” Mom yelled

    He stood there for some minutes without saying anything and I was now getting scared thinking he has seen my face

    “Hey look at me” he whispered and that is when I knew it was over for me

    “Chen Jai” I heard a familiar voice, CJ turned away but I refused to look at anyone

    “Ohh mom good morning ” He greeted

    “CJ, how many times have I told you to stop calling her mom?? Does she look like the woman who gave birth to you?? My mom asked

    That is when it dawned on me that it was my step mom

    “Chen Jai, you have to listen to your mom and…… ” She started coughing and I could see CJ drop the mask as he ran to her

    I swiftly pick it up and wore it back

    “Are You alright?? CJ asked looking concerned

    I stared at my step mom and clenched my fist, I know she is pretending, why did she want to hurt CJ who loves her more than his own mother.

    “I.. I’m fine, it’s just it’s been long I have seen you and you know your mom told your dad to send me to the boy’s quarter and I hardly get to eat good food ” She said and CJ glared at mom

    Kayla’s POV

    I have been looking at Mina for the past 16min now, she is cooking.

    She’s looking at cooking tutorial on her phone.

    I approached her and started singing but she didn’t even bother to look at me as she concentrate with what she was doing

    I really felt bad for Eric, he is really suffering

    No one can know what he do feels because his smiles always cover it up

    I gulped down my spit and stopped

    I shook my head to take the thought away

    I was about taking a turn when someone pulled me to the elevator, I looked up to see who it was

    It was Manager Don

    The elevator closed and I started shaking

    “Are You avoiding me?? He asked in his hoarse voice but I didn’t answer

    “Have You forgotten you are my toy and without me you’re a nobody ” He said and immediately he said that I hate myself instantly

    I stood up and immediately look away, I slowly wipe my tears away and I flinched because of the place where Manager Don punched me

    “What happened to your face?? He asked

    “Nothing ‘ I replied still not looking at mew

    He grabbed me by my hand and make me face him, he was surprised to see my face

    “Who did this to you?? He asked and I looked at his sparkling eyes

    What is wrong with me??

    “I bumped into the wall.. And it’s just a scratch.. Okay?? I said and jerk my hand away from his grip

    “Is Suzy still threatening you?? He asked “did she send some goons to attack you?? You should tell me the truth because I make a promise to protect you and I will have myself to blame if I fail to fulfill my promise ” he said and I started feeling goosebumps

    The elevator stopped and I looked at him for the last time before stepping out

    “This has nothing to do with your sister and also what is the point of you protecting me when you can’t even protect yourself ” I said and walked away

    I have been trying the unknown number but it was not reachable..

    Who could the person be?? How did she get this picture??

    Is it true that Chu Jung is alive??

    If she is alive then where could she be??..

    I stood up from my bed and was about to go outside to eat the food that Mina Prepared

    May God protect me?? I wish the food is safe

    I really hate going to toilet after eating bad food, I hope it is good…

    I opened the door and was about to step inside but Kayla pushed me back and smile seductively at me before closing the door

    CJ’s POV

    “CJ, why are you doing this?? We’re both getting married in the next few days and….

    “Gosh.. I hate hearing that, Kayla you’re such a nice decent girl”

    Wait do I just say decent?? Well I don’t know

    “But I can’t marry you, I only take you as a sister and nothing else ” I said

    “CJ… ” Mina called

    She was upstairs and I know she’s coming straight to my room

    “Kayla, how dare you stoop so low to force a kiss with someone who is already taken. Huh?! Mina yelled

    My jaw dropped as I looked at Mina with total amazement

    “Gross.. ” Kayla whimpered like a baby, her body is now a total mess

    I was trying hard not to laugh

    She came back with my toothbrush and gave it to me

    “Hey take and brush your teeth, I can’t stand kissing you knowing this disgusting slut has kissed you ” She said and I collected the brush

    Eve’s eyes snapped open, and she took a quick, half panicked look the darkened room. She tried to focus, but for some reason, the warmth of the bed made it hard for her to think.

    She pulled herself out of the bed, and felt around until she

    found her hone. As the screen lit up, she was surprised to see 5missed calls from manager Don

    She recalled about him telling her to come to his house

    She sighed and peered at the time

    It was 9:34pm

    ‘ I have to go now before I get into more trouble .’ She reasoned, as she used the lit screen as a makeshift flashlight to look for

    her things, like her bra, and her underwear

    She had managed to pull everything she needed on, including

    her boots.

    She walked towards the door and slowly, opened the door and made her way out. The hallway was quiet, dark. Eve knew that

    everyone was in bed, sleeping, dreaming about things like

    tomorrow and whatever adventures the day might bring.

    When she got to the living room, She pulled out her phone, and lit her way down from the rise and off towards towards the door.

    “And why are you sneaking out?” The voice almost gave Eve

    a heart attack. She’d jumped, literally

    It was her brother, Max

    “You almost gave me a heart attack.” She hissed, keeping her voice low while going on the offensive. She knew it probably wouldn’t work, but it was the best idea she could think of at the time.

    “But why are you sneaking out?” He asked from his place on the couch. The lamp next to him had come to life, illuminating the room with it’s single glow.

    “I didn’t want to wake you guys up.” Eve tried, sounding like it eas obvious. “I’m polite like that.”

    “But why are you sneaking out of this house?” He asked again and this time Eve was pissed off

    “Hey, its none of your business so go and sleep ” Eve said and went outside ignoring her brother who was calling her and threatening to tell their mother.

    Mina’s POV

    “So..?? I asked as he tasted the food

    His face expression changed as he forced a smile on his face

    “Uhn… Is it bad?? I asked looking worried but he continue eating the food then stopped eating

    I could hear it… It was a stone

    “Hey, spit it out” I said while stretching my hands forth but to my surprise he swallowed it

    “CJ?? ” I exclaimed

    “How do you expect me to spit it out when the food is soo tasty ” He said as he continue to eat the food

    I decided to taste the food myself

    I picked the chopstick and eat the first bite, my eyes widened as I quickly ran to the sink and spit it out

    It was the worst food I have ever tasted in my life.

    I looked at CJ but he just continue eating the food, I walked over to him and wanted him to stop eating the food but he refused

    “C’mon stop eating the food, you might get sick” I said and he shot me a glance

    “Can’t I eat in peace?? you don’t expect me to waste this food because you really try hard to cook for me” He said and continue eating.

    I just kept looking at him

    The food was really bad but he didn’t care…

    I quickly went to his back and wrapped my arms on his neck and hugged him tightly

    “I love you CJ and I promise that the next one will be better ” I said and he caress my hand as he continue eating

    Eve’s POV

    Weaving in and out of the crowded streets slipping into an empty alleyway. I panted from my sweltering layers of clothes

    Counting the change in my hand to see how much I had for a bus ticket I walked right into something

    Stumbling back with the coins cluttering to the stone ground. I managed to stay on my feet looking up to see I hadn’t walked into a wall, but a man in a bright orange clothes

    His eyes trailed up and down my body causing me to

    nearly gag while guessing what he was thinking about.

    “Excuse me.” I said trying to walk around him, but another guy blocked my path.

    “Isn’t it hot for all those clothes?” the one blocking me asked.

    “Let us buy you a drink what’d you say?” the one I bumped into asked.

    “No thank you. I must be going.” I answered sternly trying to

    rush past them, but one of them tried to grab me getting a

    hold of my hood. Turning I slapped his hand away.

    From the force of the yank, i realized my hood was now off for

    all to see. Turning around facing the men they gasped and

    their jaws dropped.

    “Wow.. Isn’t she one of the backup dancers of uhm.. What is it called?? One of them said and I tried to walk past them but they pulled me back

    I felt a hand on my shoulder, I was suddenly thrown into a wall by my shoulders.

    I let out a squeak and he smacked me across the face hard, I clutched my cheek and kicked him in the shin, I tried to bypass him but he slammed me harder into the wall and I tried to

    scream, he shoved Cotten in my mouth and kicked me in

    the side. I fell over, he grabbed me by my neck and held

    me to the wall.

    Tears rushed down my face, the only thing keeping me conscious was the killer pain in my side.

    “She’s a pretty one, this is going to be so much fun.” The

    man holding my neck whispered to me deviously, I made

    a sound that resembled at growl, only to be kicked in the

    gut.

    “If i were you, I will never do that ” A familiar voice said and they turned

    It was a guy and he was wearing hood, I couldn’t get to see his face because I was now feeling sick due to the pain and everything was getting blur

    “You should back off unless you don’t want to get hurt ” One of the guy said and the other guy laughed

    “Of course i really wish to back off but I just can’t because I make a promise to the girl that I will always protect her and you should know promise is a dept, and I don’t like owing people so you should be the one to back off ” The guy said

    I know who it is…. Eric??

    What is he doing here?? And how did he find me??

    My head started to ache badly making me groaned in pain then suddenly everything went blank

    Suzy’s POV

    (THE NEXT DAY)

    …..

    Everyone gathered around the dining table and was eating, I stood opposite the door looking at them…

    I know with me wearing my mask, Mina won’t be able to recognize me

    CJ was sitting beside Mina and I could sense that Kayla was jealous

    “CJ, exchange your seat with your cousin and sit down beside your future wife ” Mom said but CJ didn’t answer as he continue to eat

    “Why did you even bring her to this house?? Huh?? Mom yelled but CJ didn’t even bother to look at her.

    “It’s okay mother, Mina has poisoned CJ mind that he has even forgotten that you’re his mother making her chose Mina over you” Kayla said while glaring at Mina

    CJ stopped eating and looked up at them

    “What’s the purpose of this meeting?? Dad is not here and mom is also not here ” CJ said and I gritted my teeth from where I was standing

    CJ should stop calling her mom, she is evil

    She’s not whom he think she really is.

    “Very soon, you will get to know the purpose of this meeting ” My mom replied with a smirk making me think she’s up to something.

    Mina was silent throughout and wasn’t saying anything

    Mina’s POV

    I really don’t want to come here in the first place but CJ forced me to come and I am beggining to hate this..

    “Jian.. ” CJ mom called

    Then a lady wearing a mask came out, she was wearing a maid uniform but I just ignored her and looked at CJ

    I think he is also getting bored

    He looked at me and smiled, i manage to smile back

    “I need more tea” CJ mom told the weird maid

    Why is she putting on mask??

    She carried the jug and started pouring the tea in the cup, I was about to look away but my eyes caught something on her wrist.

    There was three star tattoo on her wrist.

    It looks familiar, i have seen it before but where

    I looked at her and she immediately hid her hand at her back and was about going

    “Suzy?? I called and she stopped

    Everyone looked at me and I stood up

    “Suzy?? Is that you?? I said knowing fully well that she is the one but what is she doing here

    “Mina, what are you talking about?? CJ asked

    “She is crazy lady who think Eric is his brother and normally live with him ” I said

    “Her name is Jian and….

    “Noo, i saw the three tattoo on her wrist when she was pouring you tea ” I said while cutting CJ’s mom short

    “Are You insane?? Three star tattoo on the wrist?? Who does that?? Kayla said and i shot her a glare

    “Chu jung ” CJ muttered

    “What are you talking about?? One of his uncles who was also present at the family meeting asked

    “Chu jung also have three star tattoo on her wrist ” CJ said

    “I don’t know what you guys are saying but if you will excuse me ” She said and was about walking away but CJ stood up and quickly walked up to her

    “What is going on here?? Someone said and I turned to see CJ dad as he approached the dining table and also CJ step mom followed

    CJ pulled her arm and checked her wrist to see the tattoo

    His face reddened as his eyes widened

    What happened??

    “Three star tattoo?! He said as he gasped and she quickly jerk her hand away

    “Let go off me ” She said

    “CJ, what is your problem with the new maid?? His father yelled

    CJ was now shaking as he took a step backward

    What is wrong with him??

    “, Chu.. Chu.. Jung ” He stammered and I was baffled

    Why is he calling Suzy chu jung??

    “CJ, you’ve completely lost it.. Chu jung is dead.. Can’t you admit that?? His mother yelled

    “The three star tattoo on chu jung wrist are not equal and….. ” he stopped as he shut his eyes

    . Flash Back

    “Chu jung, what are you doing?? Isn’t that a tattoo?? CJ asked looking surprised

    “Yeah it is dummy, you must not tell mom about this.. Okay??

    “The tattoo is not even attractive ” CJ said as he rolled his eyes

    “Aish… Get out of my room right now ” Chu jung yelled

    “Hey, let me help you” CJ said as he pulled her sister hand forth

    “What are you doing?? Chu jung asked looking confused

    Just then CJ drew three little star on her left wrist

    “Hey stop, let me take a look at that ” she said as she looked at what CJ was holding..”I don’t want a permanent tattoo ” Chu jung yelled and CJ was Astonished

    “This one is permanent?? But what of the you use on your right wrist “

    “That one is temporary dummy, what am I going to do now?? The tattoo is not even equal and it looks ugly and what is with the dot here?? Chu jung frowned

    “Sorry.. It was a mistake ” CJ said as he lowered his head

    “Permanent mistake “

    BACK TO PRESENT

    Author’s POV

    “Permanent mistake ” CJ said and Suzy eyes widened…

    CJ took a step forward and wanted to remove the mask but Suzy quickly stepped back and she quickly pick a knife

    “If you dare come near me then I will stab you with this ” She threatened and everyone gasped but CJ didn’t care as he keep moving closer

    “I know you won’t want to hurt your little brother ” CJ said as he looked at Suzy

    “CJ step back ” Mina yelled looking scared

    CJ took some steps forward and Suzy continue to threatened him

    Her hands were shaking and she was sweating

    “I will continue to do this until I remove that mask ” he said and took a step forward

    Everyone was scared and the bodyguards rushed inside but couldn’t do anything as they were startled to see the scene before them

    if.. You take one more step then I won’t hesitate to use this knife ” Suzy said
