          Xander’s POV

“Okay, I want you to think hard, I want you go think really hard, Charles, cause I want to ask you some questions and I would want you to think really hard and I will also want you to answer all the questions, sincerely.” I said to Charles, he nods his head and said, “okay I’m ready.”

“Good. Now I want you to think. Has your sister ever had a fight with anybody.” I ask him.

He thinks a little, “No.” He answers shaking his head sideways.

“Does she has any enemy.” I ask again. “No.” He answered with no hesitation.

“Are you sure she hasn’t be in any fight, she does not have any enemy.” I asked him again. “Yes, my sister hasn’t been in any fight, I know of and she doesn’t have any enemy. Besides what sort of enemy would my sister have, that would want to kidnap her.” Charles utters confused.

“Hmm, if your sister wasn’t in a fight, she does not have any enemy. Then who would have gotten her kidnapped, wait oh my God. Could it be, she was kidnapped by Xander Clark.” I conclude, so sure Xander is responsible for Sylvia disappearance.

“Okay…. I’m going to have to stop you right there. Who the heck is Xander Clark?.” Charles asked staring at me in confusion.

“He is a man, who’s ego, is as big as this house. He is one of the most feared assassin in the world and now he wants to stamp his authority on me.”

“Okay…. Xander Clark has a very big ego and he is also an assassin, got it. Now what does his ego, had to do with my sister, why did he kidnap her. Wait, don’t tell me this is his way of getting to you.” He asked thoughtfully and I nod my head.

“Wow, well…. How do we get my sister back.” He asked. I paced around my room, thinking of what to do and how to rescue Sylvia, from that scumbags hold, no idea came to me. “Charles, I don’t how I’m going to rescue your sister.” I confessed, sighing deeply, still ransacking my brain for a solution.

“What, you have to have a solution for this, you are the one with the brains that always comes up with solution. We can’t leave my sister in the hands of am assassin, who’s ego is as big as your house.” He uttered.

“I’m not going to leave your sister in the hands of those man charles, I will never do that. So calm down, I just have to think of something and I promise I will not stop thinking till I have come up with a solution to rescue your sis. Your sister is in that egocentric man’s hands, all because of me, so I will rescued her.” I assured him.

“Okay. So… What’s the plan.” He asked energetic.

“Well… The only thing I can do right now, is to call Xander. I wish I have put a tracker on her, and then this would have been really easy to find her and I won’t have to contact that son of a bitch.” I groaned, bringing out my phone from my pocket. I dialled Xander number and on the first ring, he picked the call.

“Finally, she calls. I’ve been expecting your call, Mia. What took you so long.” Xander irritating voice comes through my phone speaker. I hate his voice, I really hate his voice.

“Where is my friend Xander.” I asked, my voice showing no emotion. “Oh your friend, she’s right here, tied to a bed, with tell naked horny guys ready to rape her at my command.” He said casually, like he didn’t just say anything bad.

“Xander!!!.” I growled angrily. “Yes, sweetheart. What can I do for you.” I could feel his grinning right now, at the moment and I wish, I could slap that grin off his face.

“Xander, don’t you dare do anything to her. If anything should happen to her, I promise…”

“Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah. I get it Mia, if anything should happen to your friend, you will send my to the deepest part of hell but guess what, I’m the one with your best friend, and so I’m the one who’s going to be giving the threats. If you are not on my bed, by 10pm tonight, I’m going to make sure, your friend here, get f!cked, in a way she has never expected before. 10pm, Mia. 10pm.”

“Xander, don’t..” he hung up in me, that scumbag hung up on me.

“So…. What did he say, is he going to let my sister go, did you guys come to an agreement.” Charles asks, impatiently.

“Yeah, we came to an agreement. I will go get your sister charles, don’t worry. Now, while I go get your sister, I would want you to go meet my mum and tell her that I want the both of you to stay in the basement, for safety. Don’t worry she will know what I’m talking about.” I smiled at him, gave him a small pat on the shoulder then walked out of my sitting room, ready to go save Sylvia.

                      Xander pov

I stood by my mini bar in my living room, drinking from a bottle of whiskey, casually waiting for Mia, my eyes on the door. I know it’s kind of weird that I will kidnap her mum and now her best friend, all because I want her. Xander clark doesn’t work like this, but geez the urge to have is so strong.

“Okay Xander I’m here, release my friend.” Mia shouts walking into the living room.

“Slow down, miss Mia. Have you forgotten that I will have to give you a good f!cking before I really your friend to you.” I asks her smirking. Mia take in a deep breath, then said, “Fine, let’s go to your room.”

“Actually Mia, that deal is off, I kind of want something else now.” I drawled, she stared at me confused. “You can’t just change the rules whenever you feel like, Xander Clark.” She utters angrily.

“Yes I can. Your friend not getting raped tonight is solely laid on my finger tip.”

“Okay fine, what do you want.” She gave in.

    “Marry me.” I blurt out.

“You are joking right.” She asked chuckling.

“No, I’m not.” I answered staring into her eyes.

                          Mia’s POV

I dialled Xander number angrily, tapping my foot on the ground anxiously. If Xander was infront if me right now, I’m so sure I would be sending him flying to deepest part of hell. How dare him kidnap my mum, and then leave a stupid note asking him to call him, who those he think he is.

“Hello Mia, I’ve been waiting for your call.” His cocky voice comes through my speaker. I just want to rip his damn throat out, he couldn’t even ask who is on the line, he us just so damn proud and over confident, that I will look for his number and call him.

“Where is my mother Xander.” I gritted, wishing I could just punch his damn face right this minute. “Straight to the point I see. Not even a simple greeting, come on Mia, are we fighting.” He drawled. I hate his damn voice.

“We will be, if you don’t tell me where my mum is right this minute, Xander.” I yelled into the phone, glaring at the wall infront of me, imagining Xander’s overconfident face right over there.

“Are you sure, you should be talking to me, in such manner Mia. I have your mother’s life, in my very own palm, Mia.” He taunts, I can tell he is really enjoying this.

“Fine, what do you want.” I asked calmly, sighing a little bit.

“Now, that’s the voice I’ve been waiting for.” He said laughing. “Xander, I don’t have time for your sick games, just tell me. What do you want?.” I spelled it out for him.

“One night with you Mia, one night to f!ck your pu$$y Mia, one night and I will return your mother back to you.” He didn’t just say that right, he didn’t just say that. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhh, call down, calm down Mia.

“That is never going to happen, Xander, you can never have me, not even in your dreams.” I state angrily, then hung up on him immediately.

“Argghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.” I hate Xander Clark. I hate that freaking scumbag so much, and I’m going to make him. “Okay, okay. Calm down, I can see that call was a very unpleasant call but why don’t you take your anger out on him, yelling won’t do you any good.” Sylvia advice.

“Thanks Sylvia.” I appreciates walking out of the kitchen.

“You’re welcome. Uhm, the person you just talked to, is he responsible for your mum disappearance.” She asked concerned, following right behind me.

“Yes.” I answered simply, rushing down the stairs to the basement.

“Okay… So what do you intend to do.” Sylvia asked again.

“I’m going to go get my mother back, of course.” I answered, inputting my password, in the basement door.

“Okay. Is there anything I could to do to help.” She asked, “yes, you can stay right in here. I don’t know if any of that scumbag men, are out here watching the house and I wouldn’t want them seeing you coming out of my house, your life will be at risk.” I said to her, taking all the things I would need, for my mission.

“Okay. Be careful out there, Mia.” She said softly, hugging me from the back, I turned around and hugged her back.

“Don’t worry, I will be fine. Your friend is made of iron, remember.” I smiled at her, hug her one more time, and then walked out of the basement, lock the basement door, I don’t want to take any chances. With one more look at my house, I got on my bike and drove away. I had a tracker fixed in my mum teeth, so it shouldn’t be hard finding her.

                 Xander POV

“Don’t you think, this is kind of too much, okay it’s not kind of too much Xander. This is too much, for just one girl.” Chan exclaims, staring at Mia’s mum.

“And why do you think so.” I asked boredly, also staring at my captive. She’s unconscious, I had to make her unconscious, cause when she woke up in my house, tied to a chair, she struggled really hard against the rope, and also kept on shouting really loudly, at me. And since I hate been shout at, I had to make her unconscious.

“Are you really saying that, Xander. Since when did you start kidnapping ladies mothers, all because you want to f!ck them. Whenever you are horny Xavnder, you go to the club and get a girl, you don’t kidnap their mama’s.” He uttered, staring at me in surprise.

“Well… This particular girl, will not let me have her, unless I take this extreme measures, and i really do want her under me okay. This is like the only I can think of, since I saw her in that bar fight, looking as sexy as hell.

“Are you sure this only just a sexual feeling, are you sure you are not falling in love with this girl.” He asks, staring at me pointedly, raising his eyebrow in a questioning look.

“I’m an assassin, Chan. And we assassin, do not fall in love, we don’t even feel any emotion. I just want to have her, and that’s all.” I defend myself, my voice cold.

“Hmm, why don’t I…. Your watch is beeping Xander, someone is trying to hack into your system.” Chan informed, not completing his earlier sentence. I looked at my watch, and he is right, someone is trying to hack into my system.

I brought out my phone from my back pocket, I logged into to my camera house system, to see who is the person trying to get into my house, and it was no other person but Mia. “Well, the lady if the hour is here.” I smirked really hard.

“Aren’t you going to block her from trying to hack into your system.” Chan asked concerned.

“Nope, why should I. She won’t even be able to hack into my system, it’s the best and nobody on this earth, especially that girl can hack…” I stopped in mid sentence, in seeing my phone has gone blank, she has hacked into my system.

“What were you saying again, Xander. Cause it seems like, Miss Mia not only just hacked into your system, but she did it in less than 20 minutes, that’s really impressive and you use, about 30mins to be able to hack into hers, infact if you hadn’t send that virus to her computer, she would have been able to stop you.” Chan said grinning. “Which side are you on.” I ask him angrily.

“Me, I’m just here to watch the show, cause there’s going  to be a lot of drama here tonight.” He smirked at me, pat me on my shoulder and then goes to sit on the only couch in the room.

          Xander’s POV

                         Mia

I smirked seeing the stood killer run away. “It looks like that guy is gonna need a mama, he should cry to.” My mum said from behind, and I chuckled.

“From the look on your face, it tells me that you really do enjoyed the show.” I said to her, sitting down on one a couch.

“Of course I enjoyed it, I am so proud of you my daughter. Seeing how strong you are, I’m happy you didn’t let your father bad morals corrupt you.” My mum said smiling, her hand going under my chin. I smiled back at her.

“The last thing I would do mum, is to let dad way if thinking affect me, I am not like him and I will never be anything like him.” I assured my mum.

“That feels so good to hear, well…. Aren’t you forgetting something.” She asked, I looked around the house, jogged my memory to see if there was anything I’m actually forgetting, and to he sincere I don’t think I’m forgetting anything.

“School, you are forgetting school, Mia.” She informed me. Ughhh, I hate school. I’m a very good fighter, and I have also finished school, I’m not the little girl a lot of people think I am. I was home schooled and when I and mum ran away from my dangerous mother, this was the only way to cover our tracks. Nobody knows my true identity, in their eyes I’m a high schooler and someone who knows how to fight little karate. You see my opponent always underestimate me, and that’s why they always end up running back to their mama’s crying.

“Don’t you even dare give me that look young lady. I want you to go into your room, have your bath and get ready for school.” My mum instructs, looking me right in the eyes. I hate school, I hate going to school.

I lazily got up from the couch, having a sad face on. A good fighter like me shouldn’t be subject to school, ugh.

“Bye mum, I’m off to school and make sure you take care of yourself, and do not forget that I love you so much.” I yelled stepping out of the house, waving good bye to my mum.

“I love you too darling, and please, try to stay away from fights.” She yelled from inside the house, and I had no reply for her, cause i know i won’t be able to keep away from fighting, if there’s a person in need of saving. I don’t know why she would always asks me to keep away from fight, when she get well knows that I’m a fighter and she’s also the one asking me never to turn away from a person that needs saving. I guess she’s trying to say those words for our neighbors to hear.

I got on my motor cycle, and drove to school, just a friendly reminder, I hate school. I was already halfway to school when I heard someone shouting, “Help, Help, Somebody, please save me.” I stopped my bike immediately, without taking off my helmet, i hurriedly got down from my bike.

I walked into the alley I heard the voice coming from, when I got there a woman or should I say, a young girl was tied to a chair. I couldn’t see her face cause it was covered with her clothes. “Hey, are you alright. What happened to you, and who is responsible for this.” I questioned, already untying the rope tied around the lady.

“And the community saviour, comes running to the rescue.” A male voice said from behind me, a gun touching the back of my head.

I know that voice, very well, ugh. “Charles take that fake gun off my head.” I drawled, I turned around to look at him. “How can you always tell it’s me. This time I disguised my voice to be thick and manly.”

“Yeah, your voice really sound muscular.” I replied him, my voice lazed with sarcasm. “Anyway, you can free yourself  Sylvia, I aren’t doing that for you.” I said, already walking out of alley.

Charles must have stayed back to untie Sylvia, because they both came out of the alley together.

“Well…. See you guys at school.” I wore my helmet, then drove off. Those two idiots, charles and Sylvia are my two best friend. Charles and Sylvia are siblings, when I was a new kid in school, those two would never let me be. I had told them thousand times back then, that I didn’t want to be friends with them but they never listen.

I tried being rude, I ignored them,  but that wasn’t enough to get them faraway from me, and slowly, I began to like their company, and sooner they found out I’m a fighter and also the neighborhood hero.

                   Xander

“Hahahahahahaha, wow, this is so funny. Tell me the story again.” I said laughing really hard, my hand on my stomach.

“Xander, it’s not funny. I got beaten by a girl, and to worsen the case I ran away from her, like a scared chicken. This is the most embarrassing day of my life, and it’s not funny.” Chan said angrily, he took a huge gulp out of the wine bottle in his hand, looking really angry.

“Come on Chan, you can’t tell me it’s not funny, cause you know it’s funny. Besides I told you to be prepared. Remember what master use to say back then, he would always say, never underestimate your opponent, even if your opponent is as small as an ant, they could be full of surprises.

“Yeah, lecture me, lecture me Xander.” Chan rolled his eyes at me, gulping more wine down his throat. Oh geez.

“So… Shouldn’t you be preparing to fight her again, you know you are supposed to kill her, right?.” I said.

“I’m not fighting her.” He said simply, too simply.

“What, but why. You were giving an assignment and you are supposed to finish that assignment.” I said shocked, he would even think of quiting, assassin’s never quit.

“Well…. I’m quiting this one. I will be at home if you need me.” He got up from the couch, and waled away, I watched him leave my house. Wow, It looks like that girl really gave him a good kick. Things just get interesting.

All day long i couldn’t think of anything else but that beautiful sexy fighter in the bar. I can still remember the way she fought flawlessly, her moves where unlike any type of move i have ever seen. How could a mere lady fight three men, how could a lady fight so well and good. How could a mere lady, heat up Chan that he is so scared to fight her again. I have heard of ladies fighting, I have heard of assassin’s that are ladies, but I never thought I will find one that’s so skillful, for her to beat up Chan, it means she’s good.

I stared at the ceiling, my hands folded below my chest, my mind refusing to think of anyone else but her. I have never felt like this before, I don’t even know what this feeling is!

I got up from the bed, paced around the room repeatedly then i finally made up my mind, I’m going to see this girl myself, I need to see how really good she is. I’m going to fight her.

    MORENIKEJI.

    Morenikeji-Episode 11

    Written By Amah’s Heart

I stirred the food continuesly but it was not turning out the way I was taught.

    Something must be missing out.

I have added all the required ingredients but still it was still very watery and light.

What I’m I really missing out?

I have watched Stella prepare it more than twice.

Ijeoma handed the cooking over to me today.

She said I have to be the one to make lunch for the entire house.

Stella endorsed it and I smile so well when I saw what was on the food menu.

This afternoon is going to be the best because I’m fully in charge.

“Don’t cook rubbish o… this one you are acting like you knows how to cook. Madam and her husband will be having lunch, their son inclusive…. that’s the boss himself. Stella won’t be able to remedy it if you cook rubbish. You have been here for more than four months, you supposed to know how to cook perfectly. I’m only warning you ahead of time so that you don’t disgrace yourself and your entire village people today.

Ijeoma said to me that afternoon.

“You worry about me too much. I guess is time to start focusing on yourself more. You are afraid of me cooking rubbish…not to worry, even madam and her entire household will be pleased. You will hear of all the good that they will say about me. Just watch and see Ijeoma.

She clapped her hand together in mocking way but I didn’t pay attention to her.

After she left I began my cooking with so much assurance on myself.

I felt good because I know I was not going to mess up.

I was certain at first that my food will turn out delicious and Ijeoma will bury her head in shame

Not untill I realized instead of turning out fine the soup was very watery and not good to look at.

I can’t run my mouth at Ijeoma and still mess up.

She will ridicule me before dragging me to the mud.

I tasted it again, trying to figure out what was missing but I still can’t tell.

“No… this isn’t happening. I can’t mess up this food. everyone is looking out for lunch…I can’t give story and end up disgracing myself….

I muttered within myself as I continued pacing up and down.

Why is the food still watery… Why is it tasting like this? Why… why…

Questions flooded my head that I can’t answer.

I was in a state of dilemma.

Is almost time for lunch and I’m still trying to figure out what exactly I was cooking.

I’m in a serious deep trouble. I may even get suspended or sacked if my employers finds out that a simple local delicacy as oha soup I can’t prepare it.

Oha soup maybe simple but is one of the most difficult food to prepare.

Ijeoma does it well and it tastes great.

Stella knows how to prepare everything.

I thought making it won’t be an issue because I have seen how it’s been done severally.

Is one of the delicacy that Mrs Kanu enjoys with her husband.

    I can’t possibly make a mistake. No, I can’t.

I tip toed to the door to check if I can get any sort of help before Ijeoma will comes into the kitchen but I got none.

I left my phone at my quarters, I could have used it to search the internet maybe I will get the soup right.

Now, I’m left with nothing except a pot of watery disaster.

I said a prayer to God for help but I wasn’t even concentrating on it. My mind was distracted but I just needed to do something quick before it becomes late.

Not this time that Phil was begining to show likeness in me. he was moving close unlike before. I can’t come and mess up now and make him dislike me.

“Oh God help me…. I’m in serious deep shit…

The water has refused to dry, even if is a little. probably it will thicken that way but

No matter what I do there was no improvement.

    “Hey Keji…

A voice startled me from behind. I quickly turned and it was Phil coming into the kitchen and walking up to me.

I quickly flashed him a smile before covering the cooking pot and standing in front of it so that he won’t see the disaster that I was making.

“… you are in charge of lunch today? That’s great. What are you making…

He said still moving close. I stood overshadowing the cooking pot.

    “Mmm! Oha soup…

“Oh, interesting. Are you almost done or you need help…

“Yes, almost through… with the soup…

    I said shakily

He smiled as he came to stand beside me. His warm skin touched mine unknowingly and sent shiver down my spine

    “Can I have a taste… please?

He sounded like a child begging for a biscuit with a very cute smile on his face.

How can I even give him a taste of the rubbish I’m cooking?

How do I even come out of this?

Even after putting all the ingredients, it was still looking like a river scattered with oha leaves, stock fish, meat and other things each in a different part of the boiling pot.

“…Is there a problem? Or you don’t want me to be the first to taste the food…

    He said again and chuckled.

“Uhmmm! Phil I want you to be the first to taste my cooking but I haven’t added all the ingredients yet…I need to add more seasoning cubes and salt… also crayfish too…

That’s the only lie I could come up with. I wish he can be gone already.

“Okay…no problem Keji. Open the pot let me see the face of the soup. How it looks will determine how it will taste…

I thought of a lie but it wasn’t fort coming. I need to do something so that he can leave the kitchen and allow me strategies on what exactly to do.

I opened my mouth but shut it again.

    “…Is there a problem?

    he asked concerned.

    I admitted with a nod.

His face changed into a frown. I felt at that moment that I can trust him and he will keep my little secret within ourselves

I don’t know what gave me such guts maybe I was just tired of lying to cover up my shit.

I opened the pot of boiling disaster with my eyes closed and he suddenly burst out laughing.

I looked at him and he was really trying to control his laughter.

“…I.. I’m sorry but I.. can’t help it. I’m not laughing at your soup but at the way you closed eyes when you opened the pot…

I wish I can laugh too but my heart was racing. His reaction was relieving but how do I remedy this.

Philip took the spoon and stir the soup. He later dropped it before removing it from the cooker.

“I’m really sorry Phil. I thought I got this but it turned out to be a mess. I don’t know what to do… I’m very ashamed of myself. Even if you understand but others who are waiting for lunch won’t. I’m really confused because I added all the required ingredients it still didn’t make sense. I’m sorry Philip…I really messed up today’s lunch… and I don’t know what to do…

I continued apologizing to Philip who seems like he doesn’t mind.

“Is fine Keji. Things like this happens sometimes…is not your fault. Is not your common tribal local delicacy that you are already used to. Growing up…I usually watch either my mom or our cook back then prepare this soup. I’m not a great chef but I know together with you this soup will turn out great.

I nodded. But if anybody walks into the kitchen and see him cooking that may not go down well with his parents or the entire house.

That was why we are employed as cooks.

It was as if he understood my fear when he later said

“…There’s nothing to be afraid of Keji. I got you covered in this one. I will tell anybody that walks in that you are teaching me how to prepare oha soup…but that’s only if the explanation is necessary…

We started all over. I have to remove the meat and some of the stock fish that was used in my watery soup.

I poured the remaining things away and washed off any sign that will link me to it.

I followed every of his instructions and it was fun working with him.

“The mistake you made in the first soup was that you added too much water and you didn’t add the soup thickener. You can either use cocoyam or the other powder ones that help in thickening soups like this. Next time don’t add too much seasoning cubes. We’re lucky to still have fresh oha leave in the fridge…

I was just nodding to everything he was saying like an agama lizard.

Ijeoma came into the kitchen and I was just about adding the oha leaf which was the last part of the soup preparation.

Philip stepped away as Ijeoma entered and folded his hand in akimbo style as if he was just watching while I do the cooking.

Ijeoma greeted him and did not hide her surprised face when she saw Philip in the kitchen.

“Keji, can I have a taste of your cooking now before I leave…

He said it to Ijeoma’s hearing. I know he didn’t want Ijeoma to find out that he was actually the one teaching me how to cook the meal.

He stretched out his hand and asked me to put some in his palm and I quickly did.

He tasted it with a nod.

“You did so well Keji. I know how difficult our Iocal soup can be but you nailed it. Thank you for putting me through on how to prepare it. next time Ijeoma will include me in the list of cooks…

Ijeoma started laughing so loud as if someone was stroking her armpit.

She probably enjoyed the way Philip mentioned her name.

…. Keji, give Ijeoma some to taste so that she can also confirm of what I said.

I did as she also stretched her palm towards me.

Philip looked at her and asked.

“So…what do you think Ijeoma? Keji nailed it right…?

“Uhmmm! Well sir…she tried. I wouldn’t say she nailed it though because I’m more of a great cook than her. to be frank it’s not so delicious, she used Yoruba style in making it instead of the normal igbo way… anyway, I’m surprised that the soup turned out good though..

Philip washed off his hand and turned to leave.

“In the next thirty minutes I will be on the dining room with Mom waiting…

He massaged his two palm together, winked at me before turning to leave.

A loud laughter from deep within erupted through my mouth as he walked away.

“I came to inform you that is lunch time already. This simple soup took you almost three hours to prepare… well, I can see who kept you in the kitchen for so long. The boss is probably hungry and which was why he came to the kitchen. Instead of you to hurry up so that he can have lunch you decide to engage him in your boring conversation. Even though the soup is not all that delicious but atleast is manageable. Everyone will just manage it like that. My oha soup beats every other person’s… even Stella’s confirmed it. You are just a baby compared to my cooking… anyway, take plates out and start dishing out food, is almost past time. Don’t allow the boss’s praise or his close presence to gets into your head o! You are still not his type and neither from his tribe. Let me warn you before you gets your hopes up. Move out of the way let me pass….mtcheee

    eeewwee….!

She sighed heavily as she walked pass me and still didn’t stop talking.

I was too excited and didn’t reply her or even pay attention to her.

That was how Philip saved my ass from being whooped.

He just showed up that day and helped my troubled soul.

What could i have done if he didn’t show up that day.

We get to laugh over it after few days when he invited me to sit with him by the pool side during the weekend.

He asked if I was seeing somebody, like in a relationship. that was the third time he was asking me that within two weeks and I still told him that I’m very very single.

“Why…. ? I’m surprised that you are single..

Maybe because I picture you differently Keji…

He said while looking from my eyes to my lips.

My heart skipped as I imagined him kissing me for the very first time.

I’m so much into Philip that even my body language speaks loudly of it.

Is very difficult for me to hide my feeling whenever we are close to each other.

I guess he knows it too but seem to be acting all cool.

He is very careful in other not to make mistake.

Philip is an articulated kind of person.

I replied him with a smile

“Seeing me differently still doesn’t change the fact that I’m still single Phil. I decided not to rush into a relationship like I used to do. I want something serious with somebody my heart yawns for… a very unique man whom I always want to call mine. I’m single because I want to be not because there’s no man in town who wants me. I want something different from what I used to have…

He smiled and decided not to ask me further questions.

I noticed the juice jug was running out before excusing myself to refill.

When I turned to look back at him he was looking at me and this was like the fourth time I have caught him looking at me from behind.

I flashed him a smile and he smiled back.

As I stepped away to get more juice in a jug my phone started ringing.

I didn’t know until when I returned and he was holding it.

“Kunle have been calling you…and he left a message which shows on your screen.

My heart skipped a little because new messages usually pops up on my phone screen whenever my phone is locked.

I poured more drink into his cup after dropping my phone back to the table without bothering to look at what Kunle sent.

“Are you two seeing each other? I mean Kunle…

“Mmmm! Yes…I went out with him like three times but there’s nothing serious is going on.

He was quiet as he looked at me.

“You hanged out in a bar? Hope you didn’t get drunk Keji? Or you visited his place…I don’t know why I’m not comfortable with the way you made hanging out with Kunle appear…but I guess my major concern is you getting drunk …and somebody taking advantage of you…

I rubbed my two sweating palm together and said.

“I didn’t get drunk Phil. The last time I got drunk was the evening I met you. Ever since then I have become more discipline than ever. I’m no more the arrogant, worldly Keji. I still have a little bit of every thing….crazy inclusive but my better side wins over the other part of me. I hanged out with Kunle in a bar…a very big executive bar and I also visited his place but nothing serious happened… neither did I drink out of proportion…

I said trying to sound convincing.

He took a sip from his juice cup before setting it down.

“Okay. You initially made it looks like you don’t like Kunle. I was even trying to convince you about him but you appear uninterested. I really don’t know Kunle but looking at him that day he was out for fun and had that desirable looks for you but you seem like he wasn’t your kinda man. What made you to suddenly reconsider him…?

As I opened my mouth to speak, his phone began to ring.

He answered the call and it was his mother who wanted him to drive down to somewhere and pick up something for her.

He stood and said we will continue our discussion next time.

I just felt it in my guts that Philip was slipping off again from me.

I looked at the message from Kunle.

“Baby I have been calling. I really missed you my love. Please, try let’s see, either at my place or at the big boys joint. I miss your pretty face Keji, your smile and your soft skin… Love you XOXOXO…!

This Kunle chose to send this kind of message at a very wrong time.

Why now that I’m with Philip who was showing interest in me already.

Something I have waited so long for and it was finally happening Kunle just want to destroy it with his senseless message.

I don’t know why he has refused to heed to the fact that I don’t want him.

I hope Philip won’t take anything about Kunle personal.

Three days later Philip still haven’t invited me to sit with him in the evening like he used to.

I was patient and waited for a week even two weeks but nothing.

He was hardly around and whenever he is he remains upstairs in his room.

I was looking for opportunity to see him but none came.

Untill one evening we were informed to make room and prepare a nice continental dish because Philip will be having visitor.

I saw when he left that weekend to the airport to pick his visitor.

I heard Ijeoma saying to my hearing that is his fiancee who went for her masters abroad.

They said her name was Amara.

Even Mrs Kanu seems happy as the visitor arrived.

I saw the skinny tall and beautiful girl hugged Mrs Kanu so tight.

They all seem happy even Philip was smiling.

She put a hand to Phil’s waist, kissed his cheeks again for the second time.

I guess she whispered how much she has missed him to his ear.

Two of the house staffs came to carry her luggage inside.

I gasped out in defeat. There was nothing left for me to do.

Philip and his woman are back and I guess their next agenda will be wedding.

At work the following day, Stella noticed my sad demeanor and asked if I was alright.

Ijeoma without waiting for me to reply said.

“She thought the boss will fall for her charms but his God is alive. his wife to be, our very own daughter of the soil and beauty to behold is back with a master degree. She even speaks like a foreigner and the boss can’t take his eyes away from her. Unfortunately, our very own sister ofe mmanu here can’t take the heart break…. hahahaha. She thought is by making oha soup or other of her concortion… or looking beautiful, she didn’t know there more to a man’s heart. Keji is suffering from heart breakage. Stella she will be alright…

Stella didn’t pay attention to what Ijeoma was saying.

She walked up to me and asked if I was alright and I told her that I’m very fine.

I even smiled to prove it but deep within Ijeoma was right.

Even though her English sound stupid but I’m seriously suffering from heart “breakage”

I’m just trying to be fine and move on.

I will still not consider Kunle even though I needed distraction right now.

Is probably because of the call and message Phil saw made him kept me at a distance.

I told him the truth without mincing word.

I really don’t know how to deal with Philip and his woman who suddenly appear when Philip was giving me a green light.

The worst was when Ijeoma asked me after two days to take drink to Philip and his Amara by the pool side where they were swimming together.

                            [~]

I didn’t know when I placed a soft kiss on Kathleen’s lips and backed away immediately.

She giggled. “It’s okay!” she smiled.

“Even If you don’t like me the way I do. At least you’re here, at least your company is enough” Kathleen smiled.

Is she supposed to a siren or an angel?

We both remained quiet and Kathleen suddenly stood up.

“But, sir, Joseph don’t you think you should make use of this rooms upstairs? I mean it’s beautiful and spacious enough for anyone to live in.” Kathleen smiled.

“Well yes I know that, but we’ve occupied downstairs and there’s no need for us to occupy any one up here. I wanted to have tenants but I realized I wanted peace too, but it’s best being empty like this” I expound.

“I like it up here, you can see outside and the lake from up here with a clear view”. Kathleen smiled shimmering under the rays of sunlight that crawled into the room through the open glass from the window.

“Yes that’s why I chose to have my house here, I really love this view and the lake to be precise.” I said standing up with Mary in my arms.

I walked up to Kathleen and stood beside her watching the lake.

“Sir, Joseph, do you know that all waters are connected, the oceans, rivers and this lake are connected.?” she asked all cheerfully and I nodded.

“I do, it might look like it’s not connected cause it has a certain where it obtained some land but underneath, the water still connects.” I explained and she gasped.

“How did you know that sir, Joseph?”

I laughed. “I went to school!”.

    “School, oh yeah” she laughed.

“And I guess you know that because of… What you are.” I said and praised myself for not making any expression that would made her sad.

“Yes, because of what I am.” she repeated lowly. “And now, water is the least place I’m supposed to be, because they’re all connected, they’ll find me no matter where I dive in.”

“They’ll find you? Who?” I asked.

She sighed. “It’s long story, but soon I’ll tell you about it sir, Joseph” she quickly wore a smile.

Kathleen leaned on my shoulder and let’s out a sigh and immediately and “Ouch”.

    Mary was pulling her hair.

Kathleen straightened her head and laughed.

“You can’t be selfish Mary, you can’t just have sir, Joseph all to yourself.” she teased.

I tried to stop myself from smiling. “Correction, Mary knows me as daddy, not, sir, Joseph” I stated and she smiled and took Mary from me.

“Anyways Sir, Joseph don’t you think we should make this room something, out of all the rooms up here, this one’s my favorite.” Kathleen grinned.

“Okay, should I make it a play house for Mary? Mary isn’t really old enough for play house, so she’s fine in her crib with her stuffed toys.” i stated.

“Okay what about a bedroom.” Kathleen blurted out.

I scoffed “We all bedrooms kath”

“What about another kitchen?” Kathleen stated.

I laughed. “Not possible, one is enough, your ideas your not good enough.”

“Okay how about, we have breakfast here.” Kathleen poured out another lame idea about the empty room.

“Or we could follow my opinion and make this room a resting zone” I suggested.

“A resting zone?” she looked at me Confused.

“Yeah, like if you’re tired or stressed out and you don’t feel like sleeping in your bedroom, you can come here and rest all you want, you can enjoy the sun from the huge window here, or enjoy the night breeze” I expound.

“That is a great idea.” Kathleen Beamed. “But it’s a resting zone, it won’t be empty will it?” she asked. And I shook my head Negatively.

“I have like more furnitures in the attic maybe I’ll just move some of them here later.” I said and she smiled.

We both remained quiet again and just watched the view right in front of us.

     “Sir, Joseph” Kathleen called.

    “hmm?” I turned to her.

She smiled. “Nothing, just like the sound of your name.”

“Well my name isn’t exactly sir, Joseph, its just Jospeh!” I stated.

“Oh sorry then, sir, just Jospeh” she smiled and I laughed and gave a small eye roll.

If this isn’t happiness, then what is.

    +

“You can’t add bread and ketchup and eat them like it’s a normal thing to do.” I half yelled at Kathleen over lunch.

“But it’s really nice, it tastes so good” she smiled.

“to you it does, if anyone could walk in here and see you, they would tell you his poor your food combination is and thank God I’m done eating or else I would have lost my appetite” I said standing up with sleeping Mary in my arms.

“Where are you going sir, Joseph?” she asked as I started to walk away.

“To put Mary down.” I replied.

“And after that?” she asked again

“Nothing” I grunt and walked into my room.

I let Mary stay in her crib this time and walked out of my room.

I found out where we had eaten lunch had been cleared and no sign of Kathleen.

Kathleen suddenly walked out of the kitchen and seeing me she smiled.

“Sir, Joseph since you have nothing to do, why don’t we move some furnitures like you said to the empty room upstairs.” Kathleen grinned.

“But you just ate, you should be resting instead of trying to move things.” I told her.

“How can I rest when we haven’t even set our resting room” she blurted

I scoffed. “You have the couch where you can rest, and you also have your room where there’s a bed. There’s plenty of place for you to rest.”.

“No, this is called a living room and my room is called a bedroom, and the room upstairs is called a resting room, where we rest so how do you possibly want me to rest in the living room or my room when it’s not called a resting room.”  Kathleen explained with a serious face like she’s saying something that makes so much sense.

“I’m not going to argue with you Kath, but sure since you feel all powerful, let’s go move some of the little stuff.” I said and she smiled happily and went straight to the stairs.

    She’s just like a child.

Two hours later and the empty room had a mattress on its cold floor,  a long comfortable sofa was beside the window and an almost flat bed was placed at the corner of the room, Kathleen suggested we leave that there for “Mary”.

“Now it feels warm.” Kathleen said admiring to not so empty room again.

“Yeah, now are you satisfied?” I asked and she nodded.

“Just so you know, this is a place for resting, you can just come here during your free time, you don’t eat here, and always make sure you go back to your room anytime you rest here during the nights.” I instructed.

    “Got it” she smiled.

Her smile kind of got me and I didn’t know when I smiled too.

“Sir, Joseph it’s almost late, we haven’t had dinner.” Kathleen complained

“For two minutes can you try and not think of food?” I asked her shaking my head Negatively.

“I’ll try!” she smiled and walked up to me…

She gave me a small hug and skipped out out of the room happily.

What is she so happy about.

I smiled and walked out too, I peeked at our so called “resting room” and smiled.

     Kathleen is such a Character.

Mary woke up and we all had late dinner and Kathleen couldn’t stop ranting about how the night was great and cool and how will should all go to the ‘resting room’.

Her wish came true, as I agreed and she took Mary from me and headed there before me.

As I walked inside the room, Mary was on the floor bed chewing on a loaf of bread that had already been flooded by her saliva .

“Did you give her that?” I smiled..

“Yeah, she wouldn’t stop chewing my hand.” Kathleen laughed…

“Or maybe her teeth are just itchy.”

“Sir Jospeh.” Kathleen called and I turned to her.

“Come, see, the view in the night from up here is wonderful.” she said and I walked up to her and sat on the sofa. Sitting on the sofa opposite the window, you could see the trees, the lake, and the skies, it was like a movie…

“This is nice” I smiled enjoying the cool Breeze that surrounded my body.

Kathleen sat beside me and moved her body close to mine. She rested her head on my shoulder and breathed out a sigh. “this is sure wonderful.”

“The cool breeze right?” I smiled not minding her head on my shoulder, it’s nothing new and it’s quite comforting.

“Not the breeze, you! Sir Joseph” she said linking her hand with, “You’re amazing.” she breathed out a happy smile.

My heart jingled at the words and I smiled… “Well thank you for thinking I’m an amazing person.”

I looked down at Kathleen and she was smiling from ear to ear, she noticed my gaze and looked up at me.

She slowly raised her head up from my shoulder and her hand slid away from mine.

“Sir, Joseph,” she called and leaned closer to me,

And coincidently the moon crawled out from the thick skies and shone inside the room with it’s dim light.

“What is it?” I asked, calming the inner man in me cause Kathleen was so close to me.

“Am about to kiss you, am I permitted?” she asked her eyes never blinking or living mine.

And how could I say no.

It was like we read each other’s mine cause we both went for it immediately.

Hungrily, we both took each other’s mouth in and I didn’t know how or when I took Kathleen under me and she was suddenly lying on the sofa.

I was on top of her and the kiss just got really intense. Our never ending kisses.

The feeling that ignited in me made me rough on her and she really liked cause her circled around my neck and she pulled me down to her even more.

We didn’t stop to catch our breaths and we just went on and on, and slowly her hands suddenly starts to  linger around my shirt.

Avril stared at herself on the mirror and smiled wholeheartedly.

She was getting married and happy.

“It’s time to go Avril.” Her friend Bella called on her.

She nodded, after taking another long last look on herself she followed her bridesmaid out of her room.

“Oh my goodness, baby you look so beautiful.” Her mother gushes. She blushed and thank her mom.

“Do you think that Ace will like it?” She asked her mother.

“Ofcourse Avril, he is dying to see you.” He mother replied her.

Avril was nervous. What if she wasn’t beautiful enough?

    Was her skin too revealing?

She was totally self conscious and nervous.

“You’ll be just fine sweetheart.” Just like any other mother would have done, Mrs Banaras encourages her nervous daughter.

The drive to the church was the longest drive Avril ever had.

She wished they had opt for a plane instead.

The car stopped and the door was opened for Avril.

    INSIDE THE CHURCH.

Immediately Ace laid his eyes on her, his world stopped.

    He was dumbstrucked.

She was so pretty that he couldn’t hold himself, even though the veil was covering her face she still look undeniable gorgeous.

Her father was holding her and they were walking towards him.

When they got to where he was standing, her father hand her over to Ace.

“I know that you always took care of her, but take extra care of my treasure.” He told Ace.

    “You have my word Banaras.”

“Do you Ace Fairweather, promise to love and Cherish Avril Banaras through the hard and good time, riches and poor?” The priest asked him.

    “I do.”

“Do you Avril Banaras, promise to love and Cherish Ace Fairweather through the hard and good time, riches and poor?” The priest asked her.

    “I do.”

“By the power invest in me, I know pronounce you husband and wife. You may know kiss your bride.”

He unveil the veil and smiled at his new bride before kissing her.

The crowd clapped and chanted for more.

    At the reception.

Avril already changed into an elegant pink dress and was now dancing with her family and friends.

“I can’t believe that you finally married him.” Ishmael said as they dances together.

“I cant believe it myself.” She mumbled and sigh.

After dancing, she grabbed a glass of martini and sip a little.

“Mrs Fairweather?” A voice called and she turned around with a smile.

    “That’s me.” She replied.

“Yea, I know. It suits you.” Ace said and stole a kiss from her.

“This is so beautiful Ace, you shouldn’t have spend so much.” She whispered.

“I want to give you the best.” He stubbornly said and kissed her nose then her forehead.

“You gon’ ruin my makeup.” She groaned.

“Sorry.” He said nervously and scratched his hair.

“It’s time to go.” He suddenly said and Avril look at him confused.

    “Where?”

“Honeymoon.” He whispered and bite her earlobe then dragged her towards the front door.

Avril turned around and glanced at her families and friends, with a smile she threw the bouquet of flower up then walked away as the camera flashes across their faces.

“Where are we going husband?” She asked as soon as the got inside the car…

“You will know pretty soon, wife.” He said and winked.

The cars soon stopped at a private airport.

“That is yours?” She asked when they got out of the car, staring at the enormous Jet infront of them.

“That is ours.” He told her then grabbed her hand and led her inside the jet.

“You still haven’t told me, where we’re going.”

“Hawaii, Hawaii sweetcake.” He replied her.

She jumped up in excitement and smiled.

“Really? Oh my Goodness, that is the country I wanna go to.” She said with a smile.

“Then this honeymoon will be pretty interesting wife.”

    MORENIKEJI.

    Morenikeji-Episode 9

    Written By Amah’s Heart

We had a nice time and before I left I went to Dammi to let her know that I was leaving and to congratulate her once again.

Philip was talking with Kwame, one of their Ghanaian friend.

as I was going over to the car to wait for Philip, Kunle came out from nowhere and started walking with me.

He was going over to the parking side like I was.

He asked if he can have my number atleast to call and say hello once in a while since we are both from the same tribe but I refused.

I told him that my boyfriend will not be pleased with such idea.

He persisted and refused to go until I give him the number.

I got to where Philip parked his car and waited.

I have to stand beside the car and wait since I’m not with the key.

“Instead of standing by your boyfriend’s car, come let’s sit together in mine and have a little more chat before he comes. Is not a gentleman like for me to leave you standing here alone…. night is already approaching. And your man could have given you the car key so that you sit inside and wait for him.

I ignored him and began thinking of a way to offend him so that he will leave me alone.

“This your broken front tooth isn’t making you a bit attractive for me. I’m a lover of good dentals and yours isn’t in line at all…

I didn’t mean what I said, Kunle looks good and his front teeth isn’t that bad at all but this dude needs to leave me alone.

I don’t want Philip that I have been fighting hard to get and praying that he finds me appealing, I don’t want him to come back and see me with Kunle talking again.

That may discourage him or makes him wave me aside.

Some men supposed to respect a lady and stop pushing too hard when she says she’s not interested.

After describing his tooh he wasn’t a bit offended, instead he started laughing before saying.

“Please try looking past the broken tooth. I know is not good to behold but I’m glad is not more than this. Let me tell you a story. Growing up I used to like soft drinks, I was around 16-17years when this happened I’m used to it. Is more than fifteen years already. I and my friends then went for a party, we were served a bottle of mineral each. While holding onto our unopened drinks we waited for opener. I love minerals and my patients was already running out while waiting for my drink to be opened. I have used my teeth on several occasions to open bottle drinks in the past so I decided to use my teeth. I discovered it was so tight, I tried harder and that was how my front tooth shattered leaving me with what you see now. Hahahaha! My friends will make jokes with it in the past and I will feel offended but with time I even forgot that I have such. None of my girlfriends in the past complained about it but if you want me to visit the dentist for a refilling I will be glad to do anything for you… my queen.

I saw Philip coming. It was obvious that kunle wasn’t ready to leave.

I quickly called out my number to him.

As he turned to leave Philip was already few feet away.

I watched as he went to his car, a Highlander fine blue Jeep.

Philip apologies for keeping me waiting before getting into the car.

I noticed that kunle didn’t drive off immediately, he waited for us to drive out first.

As Philip started the car and drove out, Kunle horned twice and Philip responded with his own horn.

” He obviously wants you Keji. I totally understand what you acted back there, I don’t know much about Kunle except through Chike but I guess he’s a nice guy…

    He said while driving.

    “But I want you Phil”

I didn’t say that out loud, only to my self.

Why can’t he understands that I only have eyes for him and nobody else.

Not even Kunle or any other man can make me feel the way Phil makes me feel.

As for Kunle, I don’t care if he is a nice guy, rich, famous or same tribe with me.

the only person that has given me sleepless nights is the man sitting beside me.

Why can’t Philip understand, why can’t he looks at me the way other men does.

With love or lust I don’t care.

He should look at me with desires in his lovely eyes.

Could it be that he is into a serious relationship and well committed to his woman.

“Thanks for your understanding at what happened back there with Kunle. I just wanted him to leave me alone. I apologise for bringing you into my little drama. I’m really glad you took no offense.

He nooded with a smile without looking at me.

He talked about Chike and Dammi’s wedding and how smooth the whole thing went.

He was obviously happy with his friend

“Have ever thought of getting married some day? like are you into any serious relationship that will eventually lead to marriage…

I asked without thinking but quickly apologize for asking him personal question.

… you can choose to ignore that. I… have forgotten that you are still my boss….

He began to laugh and I joined him.

He looked at me while still laughing before returning his focus on the road.

“Yes…I was into a relationship but she went for her master degree abroad and our communication and bonding began to die off gradually. Most times I call she is either too tired, reading, rushing out or busy with one thing or the other. And I also have my own business to run and when she calls I’m either in the middle of work which I will promise to call back but if I calls back she gives me this discouraging tone. I guess she needed time for herself and I’m giving her all the time she needs…

I don’t know if I should be happy because he’s half single or whole single or worried because is obvious he loves this girl.

    “I’m sorry about that…

I said and I meant it.

“There’s nothing to be sorry about Keji. I’m totally fine. My Dad usually say to me that whatever is not meant to be….heaven won’t approve it no matter how humanly possible we try but whatever is meant to be will eventually happen…

    I nooded in agreement.

I was expecting him to ask if I’m also in a relationship so that I can shout “very very single and searching”

But he didn’t ask and I didn’t bother telling him. That may appear too forward.

We arrived home and I thanked him for the ride before going over to my quarters.

When I turned back to look at him he was already walking into the main building without bothering to look at me.

As I lay in bed that night, I was almost giving up trying to make Philip notice how much I want to be in his life.

A call from a strange number interrupted my thoughts.

    I angrily answered.

“Hello my Queen… Keji, this is Kunle… I’m just calling to know if you arrived home safe. Hope you are good…

I almost ended the call but I have been very rude to him and felt bad for making a harsh statement with his broken tooth which he still didn’t mind.

“I’m fine Kunle, how about you… did you arrive safe?

    He gladly said he did.

He wanted to continue chatting over the phone but I told him that i wanted to sleep. I quickly ended the call.

I resumed work the following day.

I was a bit moody and tries to avoid Ijeoma at all cost.

I did whatever they asked of me and retired to my quarters immediately I finish for the day.

I try to avoid running into Philip, maybe if I stop seeing him I will be able to forget him.

For days I was cold towards everyone.

“I’m already thirty, I dreaded it so much but here I was. “Thirty and very single”

Dammi is married, Uzo is also married with a baby girl.

My Friends are all ahead, happily married and living their best life while I’m still trying to figure out my life.

I may appear hard and difficult physically but I also deserves a cuddle, a love note and nice date with the man I truly loves.

Kunle continued calling, he send in several chats of how he can’t stop thinking about me.

He said he knows that I’m in a relationship but still wanted me to know how he feels about me right from the first time he set his eyes on me.

All I did was to say “thank you” for the long epistle on how he loves me and will want to see me again.

He wasn’t discouraged as he continued pestering my life.

Philip has a visitor one evening, he sat with the lady by the pool side.

Ijeoma gave me food with drink to go and serve them.

I almost said “NO” but I remembered how much i needed this job.

I took the tray of fruit salad, grilled turkey in salmon sauce and smoothy to them.

The girl was laughing at whatever Philip said. She tapped his hand in the process of laughing and I almost dropped the tray on her head.

“Why is she stylishly touching his hand?

I said to myself before dropping the tray on the table.

They were still talking when I dropped the tray, I felt unnoticed.

I looked at Phil, he was talking while looking from the pool to the lady opposite him.

While the lady was staring at him all over with her full attention.

I started moving away she called me back.

“Get me a chilled bottle water…

I looked at her with anger forming on my chest.

    She couldn’t even add “please”

Philip turned as I was about walking away and said.

“Keji please bring chilled water for my friend…Lola.

I nooded with a smile as I walked away.

I love the way he mentioned my name and said the whole thing.

    Very pleasing to my hearing.

“Lola” so she is also Yoruba? Very disrespectful lady.

If she is this close to Philip which means Phil isn’t tribalistic or racists.

I later brought the water but “Aunty” Lola complains that it wasn’t cold enough.

“Sho gbo Yoruba? (Hope you understand Yoruba) Ko tutu rara” (is not cold at all)

She asked me to go and bring another, I went and brought another water.

Lola complained again that is too cold, more than the one I brought before.

Philip didn’t say anything, I walked away and retuned with another that is not so cold.

“, This one is not really cold. Since your name is Keji I guess you are Yoruba, I came down to your level and communicated in Yoruba because not everyone understands my British tongue… yet you didn’t grab. I meant something that is neither lukewarm or cold. Something a little bit more than room temperature. Hmmm…i guess you don’t understand my British accent. Most househelps finds it difficult to understand and communicate in good English but, no problem… let me manage the water like that…

I wanted to reply her but I thought of my job.

If not how important this Job is to me, I would have put Lola in her place.

    Philip replied her.

“Keji is not a maid Lola…she is a full learned staff here.

She waved her hand to the air and replied Phil with

    “Whatever”

I walked away and rounded up for the day before retiring to my quarters.

Kunle called again and with that vexation on my chest I decided to speak with Kunle calmly and even laughed at his dry jokes.

He asked if he can come and and take me out and I agreed, I told him by weekend.

I can’t come and kill myself over Philip although I still wants him very much but he obviously doesn’t want me.

Let me leave him with his so called fake British accent Lola with her ugly looking wig and fat lips like fifty naira ponmo (cow skin)her bad attitude stink like iru (locust beans). Nonsense!

Sometimes I wonder if is better to be with the one that loves you rather than the one you truly loves.

        Avril POV:

Mother of his child? This bitch must be crazy.

“What are you talking about Izzy? It has been good six years we last saw each other.” Ace said and furrowed his eyebrows.

“Listen baby, I birth your child here with my womb.” She said and I laughed out loudly.

    We eee

She glared at me and brought out a knife from her back pocket.

“It was you, he is rejecting me because of you. What have you done to him?” She asked.

My eyes widened. What is she doing with a knife?

“Little Izzy, drop the knife.” Ace said and I glared at him.

“You’re an asshole Ace, what have I not done for you? You want her over me? Thank both die together.” She said.

I took a deep breath and thought of a quick plan, this girl is a psychopath and she can hurt anyobe of us or herself right now.

While Ace was trying to speak some sense into her crazy head, i moved to her back and quietly snatched the knife from her.

    “You bitch!” She yelled.

“Oh yes.” I quickly called the police while Ace held her from running away.

The police came and we both gave our statements before they took her away.

I sigh heavily and throw myself on the couch.

“Why are you here?” Ace asked and I frowned. I fold my hands around my chest and watched his eyes follow the little action.

He took in a sharp breath and looked away.

“Why are you here Avril, the last time I checked we had a misunderstanding.” He said and I rolled my eyes.

“Is that it? We had a misunderstanding and you stopped answering my calls, you stopped going to work and here you are staying like a super hero in a crowded beach.” I said sarcastically and stood up from the couch.

“I apologized baby,I did right? Forgive me.” I said and grab hold of his hand… “Look at me.” He looked at me and raise an eyebrow.

“I……..I am ready to visit any hospital of your choice, I want to have my memories back. The memories of both of us.” I said and he winched.

“Really?” He asked me and I nodded. I wanted that much.

    I want him so much.

“Okay, we will be visiting somewhere tomorrow then.” He mumbled.

My heart leaped at the thought of regaining my memories.

What was he like back then?

How much did I chase him?

    Did he hurt me?

“Do you haveany food here? Im hungry.” I said and he chuckled.

“Yes, I have some sandwich remaining.” He said and I stood up going to a certain direction.

“You don’t even ask for the kitchen.” He said and I laughed nervously.

“Where is the kitchen, please.” I asked

“Come, I’ll show you.” He said and led the way.

He look really really hot in his gray sweatpants and black T-shirt. I felt like ripping them off his body.

I glanced around the huge kitchen and caught a breath.

Wow! The kitchen is really huge for one man.

He dished out the sandwich while I watch him moving around, his muscle ripping through in his tight shirt.

I can’t help but think about the time when we had s3x,now I really want him.

I pushed myself away from the door and held over to him.

I touched his shoulders and squeezed them lightly.

“What are you doing?” He asked.

“Taking care of what’s mine.” I replied and he quickly turned around.

“Stop your games Avril, I really am.not in theood right now.” He said to me. I trail down his body from his shoulder to his hipbone and then grab hold of his already harden manhood.

“F%%k.” He cursed and tried to step away from me.

“Now why will you wanna do that lover boy? I’m here with you. I need you Ace.* I said and he sighed.

He grabbed hold of me hosted me up again the kitchen counter.

“You know just how to push me,don’t you?” He asked and I chuckled.

“The perfect seductress for you.” I said and bite his earlobe.

He groaned and pushed up my skirt.I chuckled loudly and held on his shoulder.

He slammed his lip on mine and kissed me, he sucked on my bottom lip and bite it lightly.

“F**k, I miss you so much.” He said and started undoing my shirt.

He yanked my shirt open and stared at my boobs.

“Mine.” He said and buried his face on my Boobs.

“All yours baby, all yours.” I moaned out as he s**k on it.

He fiercely turned me around and bounced my skirt to my hip then slap my a** cheek.

    “Mine.” He growl.

    “All yours.” I assured him.

“When am done with you today, you’ll remember everything naturally.” He growl and smack a**cheek again.

I llaughd loudly and await the pleasure that follows.
