     AURORA POV

Nina resumed her work the next day, we were both seated at the canteen eating while she was still drooling over Richard, I sighed tiredly at her.

“Will you stop drooling, he is not even here”. I said

” I can’t help it, he is too cute to resist”. She said and I smiled.”So, tell me, does he work here too?”.

“No, I told you before he is my boss’s best friend and he has a company of its own”. I said and she sighed sadly.

” That’s too bad, how do I see him again”.

“You are unbelievable, how about going to seek a job in his company”. I said.

” Really? Do you think he will hire me as his secretary?”.

“Stop dreaming, he had a secretary already”. I said and she grunted.

” I just can’t help it, should I go and tell him thank you for saving me?”. She said and I stared confusedly at her, I had no choice but to hit my can of juice on her head.”Ouch!, what did you do that for?”.

“To get your head straight, how can you go and say thank you to someone you saw in a dream and it happens to be present in reality”.

       ” Don’t you think it’s destiny”.

“oh gosh, you are so stupid”. I said.

” Then tell me what to do, I really want to see him” she grumbled.

“I don’t know, but he usually comes here thrice a week”.

” Really?”. She asked excitedly and I nodded.”aww, that is cool, do you know the days he normally comes?”.

“Nope, but he is constantly coming on Friday “.

” Wow, which means he will be around the day after tomorrow”.

       “I guess”.

” Yes!”. She hit his hand on the table excitedly causing everyone to turn in our direction.

       “Keep it down, will you?”.

” I just can’t help it, should I change the style of my hair?”.She asked and sighed tiredly at her.

“Nina can we eat quietly, our lunch break is almost over”.

” Fine!”. She takes a bite from her sandwich.” So, Aurora is our boss the Alex you were talking about”. She grins.

       “Eat Nina”.

” Don’t hide it, he is the one right?”. She asked.”I knew it! Oh my, he is so handsome, do you know I was drooling over him, but when I saw my prince charming, everything changed”.She said.

I sighed tiredly at her and resumed my food.

    ***********

       NARRATOR POV

Two days later, Nina was climbing down the stairs with some files, and suddenly, she missed her step and was reeling forward, her scream got everyone’s attention, and then a hand grabbed onto her waist and pulled her into his arms, she turned her face to see Richard was the one holding her.

“Don’t you watch where you are going?”. He asked and pulled away from her.

        ” Um…um”. She sputtered nervously.

“Be careful next time”. He said and walked away.

Nina stared after him drooling over him.

” Nina, are you okay?”. kessy interrupts her.

“Um, yeah”. She smiled and picked up her files as she ran away with them excitedly.

Aurora was walking along the corridor when a hand suddenly pulled her to a tight corner.

” Nina! What are you doing?”. She asked surprisedly instead Nina was smiling widely to herself.”Why do you drag me like that”.

        “He did it again”.

” What are you talking about?”.

       “Richard, he saved me again”.

” What happened? Why?”. She asked confusedly as Nina whispered the whole thing to her ear and she gasped.”What?”.

        “Yeah”.She smiled

” Are you okay? Did you get hurt?”.

“Hurt? No, how will I get hurt when my prince charming was the one that saved me”. She grinned and she got a hit on her shoulder.” Ouch! Why did you hit me?”.

“You deserve it, why won’t you watch where you are going what if Richard wasn’t there to save you “.

” But he did anyway”. She smiles.

“Please be careful next time “.

” I will, I am so happy right now, I can smell his fragrance all over me “. She said and Aurora rolled her head at her.

        ” Can I go now?”.

“Yeah, but we will continue this later”. She said and walked away.

” What a girl”. She takes three steps when a hand grabs her in another tight corner. “Now what!”. She gulped to see who it was.” Alex”.

“Were you bothered by someone before?”. He asked flirtatiously as he pinned her to the wall with his hand around her waist.

” Um, not really, but what are you doing here?”.She asked nervously.

“I miss you, plus I want to kiss you right now to ease my stress for the day”. he said and Aurora blushed.

” But we can’t, what if someone sees us”.

“Nobody comes here, I am dying to feel those lips on mine”. He leaned his face closer and cupped her face. ” Should I?”

“You don’t need my permission before–“.

He suddenly shut her up with a soft kiss and then slowly moved his face to look at her eyes. he gazed at her for long, hard minutes, then slipped his hands down to cup her bottom, and pulled her to his waist. his mouth crashed onto hers with an urgency she hadn’t anticipated, as if he had been dying to kiss her all along. Alexander pulled her even closer, completely developing her. Her body spark to life, awakening in a way hadn’t thought possible.

” You drive me crazy!”. He said between kisses.

“Alex”. He moaned his name and they pulled away slowly.”You have a meeting in the next thirty minutes”.

” I know, but I want more”. He pressed his lips on her and deepened the kiss.

Aurora encircled her arms around his neck responding to his kisses, After a longer while they broke out from the kiss catching their breath.

“Does it reduce your stress now?”. She asked smiling.

” A Little”. He said and Aurora brushed him on his chest and he laughed.”I am fully charged”.

        “Naughty you”. She smiles.

       ” Let’s go”.

“You go ahead, I will join you soon”.

” Okay, don’t stay too long”. he winks at her and walks away. Aurora smiled after him blushing.

“What took you so long?”. Richard asked immediately Alex stepped into his office.

” I told you I went to pee”.

“Don’t you have a restroom in your office”?

” Is not rushing”. he sat down.

“Why do I have this feeling that you are lying, I know you went to stalk Aurora because right now she is not in her office”.

” Now that you know, why are you still here”.

“Annoying brat!”. He teased and they chuckled.

” So, any news from the investor”.

“Yeah, there is a meeting this weekend”.

       ” Where?”.

“I don’t know yet, but they said they will inform us about it”.

” Okay, I hope they will be fast about it”.

“Yeah, so are you game for tonight”.

        ” What”.

       “We are going clubbing tonight”.

       “Am not going”.

” Sure you are”. he persuaded and Alex stared tiredly at him.

    *******

Later in the day, the staff including Aurora left for the clubhouse to celebrate Nina to the team. Aurora was surprised to see it was a club they had chosen for the celebration.

        “Why the club?” She asked.

“Is amazing, you don’t like it?”. Nina asked.

” I know, but I thought you were going to the karaoke bar”.

“Well, we change location every time, believe me, you are going to love it here “. Kessy said as they dragged her inside.

They were seated around the table while the waiters came with their drinks.

👩🦱” Let the party begin!”. They hit their drinks together and sip from it.

“This is the best party ever!”.Nina said.

    👩🦰”Yeah, let’s get wasted!”.

” No, I am not getting wasted”. Aurora said and they laughed.

    👨🦲”You are so funny”.

    👨🦱”Let’s have fun”.

They cheer and continue with their fun, and then someone calls Aurora’s name from behind and they turn in that direction to see who it was.

        “Charles?”. She called surprisedly.

” Hey pretty, it being a while”. he said smiling at her and the rest started murmuring to each other.

“So, Aurora, is he the man behind your smile?”. kessy asked smiling knowingly at her.

” No, he is–“She got interrupted.

“Am Charles, Aurora’s friend”. he said.

👱♀️” You mean boyfriend”. they laughed and Aurora sighed tiredly at them.

“Would you mind if I excuse her for a moment?”. Charles asks taking permission from them.

👨🦱” Sure you may, she is all yours”.

“No Charles, I am not going anywhere with you, you have no business with me anymore”. Aurora said and they were surprised at her.

” Why are you being rude to him?”. Nina asked.

“Charles here is my ex”. She voiced out and they gasped.

        ” Oh”. kessy said.

“But that doesn’t mean we can’t still be friends”. he said.

” No, we are not, can you please excuse us, we were in the middle of something before you interrupted us”.

“Please let me just have a moment with you”. he begged and Aurora refused.

” You heard her”. Alex interrupted him from behind and everyone was surprised to see him with Richard beside him. Nina blushed at Richard and Aurora could see the angry look on his face.

The next morning, Naomi was still fast asleep, while Alex was awake, gazing lovingly at her. He gently caressed her face, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, and placed a soft kiss on her forehead.
After getting out of bed, Alex headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. A few minutes later, he returned with a tray laden with toasted bread, hot chocolate milk, a fruit salad, and scrambled eggs. He set the tray on the bed and began to wake Naomi up with gentle kisses. Naomi murmured in her sleep,
“It’s time to wake up.” Alex whispered.
“Give me five more minutes.” She replied,
     “No, I made breakfast.”
     “I’ll eat when I’m up.”
“No, it will get cold by then.”Alex countered, As he joined her under the duvet, Naomi open her eyes.
    “Alex, what are you doing?”
“Recharging my energy.” He smirked, and Naomi laughed.
    “Get off, I’m starving.”
    “Too late, sweetheart.”
“Let’s have breakfast now, I am awake”.
“I am having mine”.He smirk,  and instead claimed her lips with a passionate kiss.
Naomi tried to resist, but she couldn’t help but get lost in his touch, he continued to kiss and caress her. Thier lips devouring each other as the breakfast forgotten in the face of their desire for each other, his hands roaming her body as they lost themselves in the moment.
       ~~ Mr Adams house~~
Mia’s eyes snapped open as she jerked awake, her heart racing at the sound of Nathan’s raised voice coming from the living room. She quickly threw off the covers and rushed downstairs, her bare feet padding softly on the floor.
As she entered the living room, she saw Nathan confronting his mother, his face twisted in anger.
“She did nothing to you, why hurt her like this?” he yelled, his voice echoing off the walls. His mother looked down, her face etched with guilt and regret.
“Son, calm down, she realizes her mistake already,” Mr. Adams said.
But before he could continue, Mia interrupted,
“Nat!” she called out, her eyes blazing with anger as she stormed towards him.
In a shocking move, Mia landed a resounding slap across Nathan’s face, the sound echoing through the room and everyone was shocked.
“I told you not to!” she yelled, her voice cracking with emotion as she grabbed his hand and dragged him away to the room.
“I guess big bro is in trouble.” Josh said.
The others sighed in response, their faces a mixture of surprise and concern.
Once they were in the room, Mia released Nathan’s hand and glared at him, her chest heaving with anger.
“I told you not to blame your mother for what happened. You promised to let it go,” she said, her voice trembling with disappointment and hurt.
“I just had to tell her the truth,” he said,
“It was an accident, not her fault. Why did you have to confront her? I’m so disappointed in you, Nathan.” She said angrily as she struggled to hold back tears.
She walked over to the closet, her movements swift and agitated, and began gathering her clothes.
“What are you doing?” He asked, as he moved towards her.
“I’m going home,”She replied Nathan moved to stop her, wrapping his arms around her from behind.
    “Please, I’m sorry,” he said.
Mia tried to push him away, wincing in pain as she put pressure on her hand. Nathan tried to help, but she refused his assistance, her body tense with anger.
“Tell me what I need to do, and I’ll do it. Please don’t be angry with me,” he said, his voice laced with sadness and desperation.
Mia sighed, still visibly angry, but the pain in her hand and Nathan’s apology seemed to be slowly diffusing her anger.
The somber atmosphere in the living room lingered as Nathan and Mia descended the staircase. Mrs. Adams stood up, and Nathan approached her, his eyes filled with remorse.
    “Go on,” Mia encouraged him.
“Mom, I’m sorry for the way I spoke to you earlier. Please forgive me,” Nathan said sincerely.
Tears welled up in Mrs. Adams’ eyes as she smiled at her son and caressed his cheek.
“I should be the one apologizing. I’m sorry for what I did to your fiancée. I promise it won’t happen again. I’m sorry for misjudging her. Please forgive me for everything.” She pulled Nathan into a warm hug, and the room erupted in smiles.
“I love you, Mom,” Nathan said, his voice filled with emotion.
“I love you too, son,” Mrs. Adams replied, her voice trembling with happiness. As they pulled away from each other, she turned to Mia. “Come,” she said, smiling at Mia, who rushed over to her. She took Mia’s hands, her eyes filled with apology. “I’m sorry for everything. Please forgive me.”
“You don’t have to apologize, ma’am. It’s fine,” Mia said.
“Call me Mom,” Mrs. Adams said, her voice filled with warmth. She pulled Mia into a hug, along with Nathan.
The room filled with happy smiles as everyone witnessed the heartfelt moment.
    “Finally,” Anna said.
Just then, Mia’s cell phone rang, shattering the moment. She answered the call, her look changing from calm to shock.
“Hello, Jimmy… What!… Ok, I’ll be there.” Her face pale, Mia hung up the phone and turned to the others.
“What happened? Is everything okay?” Nathan asked.
“Naomi’s mom collapsed and was rushed to the hospital,” she said, her voice trembling.
The room fell silent, with everyone exchanging worried glances.
“Oh my,” Anna whispered, her hand flying to her mouth.
“I have to go now,” Mia said, rushing towards the room with Nathan following closely behind.

        ~~At the beach house~~

Naomi was refreshing herself in the bathroom while Alex entered the room with a plate of fruit salad, which he carefully placed on the table. His cell phone rang, and he answered it after checking the caller ID.
“Hello, bro,” Alex said, and Nathan’s worried voice came through the phone.
“Alex, is Naomi with you?” Nathan asked.
“Yes, is everything okay? You sound worried,” Alex asked curiously.
Naomi emerged from the bathroom, looking fresh with a towel wrapped around her body, and Alex’s eyes met hers as he listened to Nathan.
“Um, yeah, Mia and I are heading to the hospital now. We just got a call from Jimmy that his mom collapsed and was rushed to the hospital,” Nathan explained, and Alex was surprised.
“Okay, we’ll be there,” he said, his eyes never leaving Naomi’s, before hanging up the phone. Naomi noticed the look on Alex’s
      “Is everything okay?”
“Um, yeah, get dressed. We’re leaving.” He response briefly,
     “Now?” She asked confusedly.
“Yes, something came up, and we need to leave. I’ll get the car ready.” He quickly left the room, avoiding further questions from Naomi.
Naomi sighed, sensing that something was amiss, but she decided to get dressed, wondering what had happened.

A few minutes later, Alex loaded their bags into the car and opened the front door for Naomi. She slid into the seat, and Alex moved to the driver’s side. Just as he was about to start the engine, Naomi snatched the key from his hand.

“What are you doing?”. He asked surprisedly.
Alex was taken aback by her sudden move, but he tried to composed himself.
“Tell me what’s happening,” she pressed, her voice rising. “Why are we leaving all of a sudden? We were supposed to leave tomorrow.”
Alex sighed, knowing he couldn’t avoid the truth any longer. He took her hand firmly, trying to reassure her.
     “I know you’re angry, but…”
“Just tell me what’s going on,” She interrupted, her voice shaking slightly.
“Okay,” Alex said gently. “Your mom was rushed to the hospital.”
     “What?”her eyes widened in shock.
“Don’t worry, I’m sure everything will be fine.” He said, But Naomi’s face crumpled, and tears began to fall. He quickly got out of the car and rushed to her side, helping her out. “Please don’t cry,” he said softly, wiping away her tears with his thumb. He pulled her into a warm hug, holding her close as she sobbed.

As everyone tended to Nathan, Mia excused herself to the kitchen to make chicken soup for him. The cook, noticing her intentions, nodded and left her to it. Mia was busy stirring the pot on the gas stove when Mrs. Adam’s cold voice interrupted her.
“What the heck are you doing in my kitchen?” Mrs. Adam demanded.
“I’m cooking.”Mia sighed, turning to face her.
    “On whose permission?”
“I just want to make chicken soup for Nathan since he’s down with fever.”
“Were you asked? What right do you have?” She moved closer to Mia. “I want you out of here.”
“I’ll leave once I’m done cooking.” She continued stirring the pot, her movements deliberate.
“I said out!” She grabbed Mia’s arm, trying to drag her out of the kitchen. But Mia lost her balance, and the pot of hot soup spilled onto her hand. She let out a loud scream in pain. her eyes widening in shock.
Mrs. Adam’s eyes widened in shock, her face pale. The scream echoed through the house, and everyone in Nathan’s room heard it, including Nathan, who jerked awake.
“Mia?” he called out, his voice weak
The room fell silent as everyone turned to Nathan, who was now awake.
“Son, you’re awake,” Mr. Adams said, relief on his face.
Nathan tried to stand up from the bed, but Josh stopped him.
    “You can’t get up.”
“That’s Mia’s scream. I heard it.” His voice was weak, but determination burned in his eyes. He stood up from the bed, despite his family protests, and made his way out of the room, everyone following closely behind.

Mrs. Adam’s eyes widened in horror as she quickly grabbed Mia’s hand and turned on the water from the sink. She placed Mia’s hand under the running water, and Mia groaned in pain as tears streamed down her face. The hand was already red and getting sore.
“Mia?” Nathan called weakly from behind, and they were met with a horrible scene in front of them.
“What the heck happened?” Mr. Adams asked.
“It was an accident, I didn’t…”Mrs. Adam’s voice trembled.
Nathan rushed to Mia’s side, his eyes scanning her face before locking onto her injured hand. He felt like he’d been punched in the gut, and the pain in Mia’s eyes was almost too much to bear. He took Mia’s hand gently, his eyes blazing with anger as he stared at his mother. Without a word, Nathan turned and left the kitchen with Mia, leaving his mother standing alone, looking regretful.
    “Mom, what happened?” Anna asked,
“I was just…I don’t know, it was an accident.”Mrs. Adam sighed.
Nathan entered the room with Mia.
“Doctor, please attend to her,” he said, his voice firm.
The doctor nodded and began to examine Mia’s hand. Mia groaned in pain, and Nathan pulled her close, holding her as the doctor worked.
After the doctor finished treating Mia’s hand, he wrapped it in a white bandage.
“She’ll be fine. Once the bandage is removed, apply ointment on it,” he instructed. Nathan nodded, his eyes never leaving Mia’s face. “And you too, Nathan, don’t forget to complete your dosage,” the doctor reminded him.
“Okay, Doctor,” Nathan replied, his voice soft.
The doctor nodded and took his leave, leaving them alone.
Nathan turned to Mia, his eyes scanning her face. “Are you okay?” he asked.
     “I’m fine.”She nodded weakly.
Nathan pulled her into his arms, his lips brushing against her hair. “I’m sorry for what happened,” he whispered.
“It’s nothing, it was an accident. I was being careless. Please don’t blame your mother for what happened.”
“Just take a rest,” Nathan said, his voice soft and soothing as he gently patted Mia’s hair.
“I’m serious, Nathan.”  She raised her face to his, her eyes locking onto his. “Don’t blame your mother for this. It’s not her fault. I could see the shock and guilt on her face when it happened.” Her voice was filled with empathy.
“Fine, I won’t.” He sighed, his voice was resigned, but his eyes still held a hint of frustration.
    “Promise?”
     “I promise.”
They shared a tender smile, and Mia’s face lit up with relief. She leaned into him, her body relaxing against his.
“Thank you,” she whispered, her lips brushing against his cheek. Her touch sent shivers down Nathan’s spine.
Meanwhile, back at the beach house, Alex stood on the balcony, his phone pressed to his ear as he spoke to his father. The cool breeze rustled his hair, and the sound of the waves filled the air.
“I’m fine, Dad. I’ll be home soon,” he reassured him, his voice calm.
“Yeah, everything is fine. I’m not alone; Naomi is here with me. So, tell everyone not to worry.” His voice was reassuring, and he smiled as he thought of Naomi.
As he spoke, he felt a warm pair of arms wrap around him from behind. He smiled, feeling a sense of comfort and security. The tension in his body eased, and he relaxed into her touch.
“Dad, I’ve got to go now. See you soon,” he said, hanging up the phone. He turned to Naomi, his eyes locking onto hers.
Naomi’s hands slid up his chest, and he turned to face her, his eyes filled with affection.
“Why are you out here? It’s chilly,” she said.
“Did you have fun today?” He asked as his fingers grazed her face, and he smiled.
“Yes, it’s been a long time since I played around the beach. Gosh, the water was cool.” Her laughter was infectious, and Alex chuckled.
“I’m glad you had fun. I had fun too, and I wish it never ends.”
“Me too. Right now, I think I need a massage.” Her voice dropped to a seductive whisper, her eyes locked onto his, and Alex’s heart skipped a beat.
“Really? A massage?” Alex asked, a sly smile spreading across his face as he gazed into Naomi’s eyes. She nodded shyly, her cheeks flushing with anticipation. “Ok,” he whispered.
Alex swept her up in his arms, her legs wrapping around him as he carried her to the bed. He laid her down gently, his eyes locked on hers with adoration.
As he climbed onto the bed beside her, Naomi’s hands encircled his neck, pulling him closer. Their lips met in a soft, tender kiss.
Alex’s hands caressed her body, his fingers tracing the curves of her face, her neck, and her shoulders. Her moans filled the air as he deepened the kiss.
The sound of the waves outside created a cozy, romantic atmosphere, enveloping them in a sense of intimacy and tranquility.
Alex’s hands caressed her face, and he began kissing her face, his lips tracing a path down to her neck. His fingers gently undid the buttons of her shirt, and he slowly pulled it open, revealing her perfect body.
His eyes widened in awe as he gazed at Naomi’s beauty. He took a deep breath, his heart racing with excitement, and began to kiss her skin, his lips tracing a path down her neck and shoulders.
As they broke apart for a moment, Alex’s eyes locked onto Naomi’s, filled with passion and desire.
“Tell me you’re not stopping tonight,” she whispered, her voice husky with longing.
“No, I am not planning to. Tonight is the night we seal our love, you own me now Naomi, I am fully yours now, even though….”His words trailed off as Naomi kissed him lightly.
“I don’t care about the past, let’s build the future together, just the way you are mine, I am yours too, I love you so much, Alex.”
“I love you more,” Alex replied, his voice filled with emotion, tears filling his eyes.
“Make me fully yours tonight, make me a woman,” she whispered.
As they lost themselves in the moment, Alex’s lips crashed against Naomi’s, their passion igniting like a flame. Their clothes scattered on the floor, they surrendered to the heat of the moment, their bodies entwined under the duvet cover.
Outside, the rain fell gently, casting a soothing melody that echoed through the room. The droplets pattered against the windowpane, creating a cozy, intimate atmosphere that wrapped around them like a warm blanket.
Naomi’s fingers dug gently into Alex’s back, her nails tracing the muscles. He was tender and gentle with her, their hands entwined as they moved in a perfect sync.
Their soft moans and gasps filled the room, a symphony of love and desire that harmonized with the rain’s gentle rhythm. Every kiss, every touch, and every whispered promise fueled the fire burning between them.
In the midst of this passionate storm, they found their own rhythm, their love becoming the anchor that held them together. The rain outside seemed to wash away the world, leaving only the two of them, lost in the beauty of their love.

Alexander opened his eyes weakly to see someone beside him on the bed.

“Aurora”. He called and then opened his eyes fully to see Nora was the one beside him. “Nora?”.

” You are finally awake, how are you feeling?”. She asked smiling and he sat upright on the bed.

“What are you doing here? Where is Aurora?”. He asked confusedly and Nora frowned.

” She left”. His mother said as she entered with a tray of food.

“What do you mean she left? Mom, what did you do this time?”.

” How do you mean?”. She asked.

“Don’t play dumb with me Mother, I know you have done something to her, Where is she?”. He asked losing his patience.

” I told you she left, her services are no longer needed here, your fiancee is here, she can take of you”.

“Who are you to make that decision for me? This is my house Mother, you don’t come in here and control what happens around me”. He said angrily and stood up to leave.

” Where are you going Alex? You can get off the bed like that, you are not feeling too well”. Nora said.

“Did I make a complaint to you that I was sick? By the way what are you two doing here?”.

” Alex! I am your mother and she is your fiancee, we have every right to be here, if we didn’t come here, we wouldn’t have known you were sick”.

“Mom, that’s enough! Nora here is not my fiancee and I am cutting off the engagement”. he said and they were surprised.

         ” What?!”.

“You heard me, Mom”. He said and left the room leaving his mom and Nora in great shock.

” Mom, please don’t allow him to cut off the engagement, I want to be with Alex and no one else”. She sobs.

“He will not do that, maybe the sickness had gotten to his brain that he can’t think straight”. She said.

Meanwhile, Alex came out and was about to call his driver to drive him to Aurora’s place when he caught sight of Aurora sitting by the veranda.

” Aurora”. he called surprisedly and Aurora turned to him. he hugged her tight to his arms, and after a while, they pulled away from each other.

“Why are you out here? You should be resting”. Aurora said.

” I woke up and I didn’t see you beside me and I knew my mother had done something to you”. He caressed her face a saw marks on it.”What happened to your face? Did my mother hit you?”.

“Um, no, I…i”. She got interrupted.

” Don’t lie to me, my mother did this to you, right?”.

“Why is she still here?”. They got interrupted and Aurora hid behind Alexander’s back.

” Mom, what do you think you are doing? Why did you hit Aurora in the face?”.

       “She does not belong here”.

” Says who? This is my house and you have no right to decide who stays or not”.

“What has gotten into you son? Are you having anything with her?”.

        ” What do you expect”.

“Alex! I am your fiancee”. Nora’s voice out.

” You are not, because it’s over”. He said and turned to his mother.”I have a choice, I am not a kid anymore if I want someone for myself and that will be Aurora, I don’t care if you accept it or not”.

“Never son! That will not happen”.

” Then suit yourself and use the door, I am tired of your bullying towards her and it must stop! If you are allowed to decide whatever you want always.”. He took Aurora’s hand and dragged her inside shutting the door against them.

“Mom! he means what he is saying, he has chosen that girl over me”. Nora grumbled.

” What has she given my son? I will not let this happen, not on my watch!”.She said.

Meanwhile, Alex and Aurora came to the room.

“That was uncalled for you to talk back at your mother like that, she was only looking out for her son”.

” That wasn’t lookout, that was mean of her to always bully you”.

        “But she is your mother!”.

” I know”. He caressed her face.”Don’t worry about that, she is my mother and she will get over it”.

“But–” She got shut by a kiss on the lips.

“No, but”. He pulled her into his arms and crushed his lips with her. The kiss became intense and Alex broke out of it as he groaned in pain.

“Alex, are you okay?”. She asked curiously and helped him sit on the bed.” Does your head hurt?”. She asked seeing him holding his head.

        “Yeah, a lot”. He replied.

” Okay, try to relax, and let me make something for you, so, you can take your medication”. She tries to leave, but Alexander grabs her hand.

       “Don’t go”. He groans.

” Am not leaving, I just–“. She got interrupted as Alex pulled her to sit on the bed.

“No, sleep next to me, it will cure the headache I have”. he said.

        ” Um”

“I insist”. He lay down and Aurora slept beside him and he caressed her into his arms.”Much better”.he smiled.

    *******

Two days later, Aurora came to grab something at the grocery store, she was moving around searching for what to buy when she bumped into someone.

” Am sorry”. Both said simultaneously and they raised their face to each other.

        “Aurora?”. Nina called surprisedly.

         ” Nina?”.

“Yes, is me “. She said and quickly they hugged each other tight and then pulled away from each other while holding hands.

” You are alive!”. They both said and chuckled.

        “Yes”. Aurora said.

” I thought I would never see you again”. Nina said.

“Me too”. They hug each other again.

Some minutes later, Both were seated in a local restaurant chilling with some juice and snacks.

” Tell me, how did you survive the suicide bomber?”.Nina asked.

“Luckily for me, some cops were around the premises and it was Alex’s idea”.

        ” Alex?”.

“Yes, he came to my rescue”.

        ” Aww! I knew it”.

        “Knew what?”.

” That Alex will come to your rescue, he is your hero”.

“I guess”. They chuckled.” What about you?”.

“Well in that critical moment, while I was still unconscious, something strange happened to me”. Nina said.

        ” What happened?”.

“I don’t know how to explain it, it was as if I was in a trance, I saw an unfamiliar man reaching his hand out for me and telling me to take his hand and he said he wouldn’t let go of my hand that everything will be fine”.

” Really? Do you see his face?”.

“Yeah, but I don’t know who he was, but believe me, he was damn handsome and he is my type of idea man”. She smiles.

” Aww, someone is falling already”. Aurora teased.

“Maybe, I kept seeing him in my dreams, it was because of the trance I had that I was able to have full confidence in myself, some cops came, and a help me defuse the bomb”.

” Thank heaven they came to rescue us at the right time”.

“I am so happy to see you again”.Nina said.

“Me too, so, what do you do now?”.

” Nothing, am actually looking for a job”.

        “Really?”.

” Yeah, I will be going for an interview this week in one of the companies I submitted my CV to”.

“Okay, I wish you luck with that”. Aurora said.

” Me too, hope you are working”.

        “Yeah, as a secretary”.

” Wow, that’s nice, should I guess who the boss is”. she teased.

        “huh”.

” You are his secretary right”.

“Huh? What are you talking about”.

” I am talking about Alex, your Alex”.

“Oh, yeah, he is my boss”.

” I know that, so, are you two a thing now?”. She asked excitedly.

         “I don’t know”. She sighed.

” What do you mean you don’t know, you don’t feel anything for him?”.

“I do, but the whole thing is somehow complicated”.

         ” Like how, Aurora?”.

“I still don’t understand it, his mom and his supposed fiancee and everything”.

” Are you saying his mother and his supposed fiancee are standing in the way of you two?”.

“Something like that, but I am the one standing in their relationship, his mother blamed me for everything”. Aurora said.

         ” That’s awful”.

“I don’t know what to do”.

“I totally understand, but love still conquers it all”.Nina said.

       They sighed and continued chatting.

Later in the night, Aurora sat on the bed staring out from the window, and then her cell phone rang, she saw the caller ID and picked it up.

📞” Hey”. She said on the phone and Alexander’s voice came through the other end.

📞 “Hey Aurora, how are you?”.

📞 ” Fine, but just tired”.

📞”Why? Was the work at the office stressful for you?”.

📞 ” No, is not that, I just have some groceries to do today, that’s why I am tired”.

        📞”Okay, I miss you”.

📞 ” Me too”. She blushed.

        📞”Are you blushing?”.

📞” Huh? No”. She wonders how he knows.

📞  “Because I can feel it”. he giggles.” So, will you still go out with me tomorrow?”.

        📞”Um,”.

       📞 ” Please don’t say no”.

📞”Um, okay, I will go out with you”.

📞” Yes! Thank you Aurora, you don’t know how happy I am right now”.He said happily on the phone.

       📞 “Me too”.

📞” Okay, I will pick you up by seven sharp “.

       📞 ” Sure”.

      📞 “Good night Aurora”.

📞” Good night Alex”. They hung up and she sighed.

      ALEXANDER POV

With anger in me, I walked to open the door to see the person who ruined the most important moment of my life, but I was shocked to see my mom and my grandfather in front of my doorstep including Nora, I could see the worried look on their faces. Quickly I was caught off guard by a hug from my mom and then Nora followed, after a while, they pulled away from me and they went inside as I locked the door.

       “What happened?”. My grandfather asked.

” I don’t understand, what are you guys doing here?”. I asked confusedly.

“We saw what happened”. My mom said as she showed me a video of me with Aurora at the scene.” What were you thinking son, don’t you know that was dangerous.”. She quarrels.

“But Mom nothing happened, we should be happy that no one died”. I replied.

” What if the bomb had exploded what would have become of you”. Nora said and I sighed tiredly at them.

“Son, how is the young lady, is she okay?”. My grandfather asked politely and I could see the angry look my mom was giving him.

” What are you saying Dad, aren’t you supposed to be scolding rather than asking about the girl”. She said.

“But he did nothing wrong, why should I scold him, we should be proud of him because he is a hero”. He said and my mom frowned.

” She is fine grandfather”. I replied.

        “That’s a relief”. he smiled.

” Please, stay away from that girl before she puts your life at risk, you are my only son”. She said.

“Mom, am fine, nothing happened”. I said getting pissed off, then Nora walk up to me and sat down at the edge of the chair as she encircled her arms around my neck sobbing quietly.

” I was scared to death, I thought I would never see you again”. She sniffs and I take her arms off my neck.

        “Am fine”.

” She was worried about you”. My mother said and I rolled my eyes. “So, have you had anything to eat, we will prepare something for you”.

        ” No Mom, am fine”.

“Don’t say that, Nora, and I will make something for you”. She stood up and left with Nora to the kitchen before I could say anything.” Son, you made an order before?”. She asked and I quickly rushed to the kitchen.

“Um, yeah, I was planning on eating them later”. I place the food inside the refrigerator.

       ” Okay”. She said

“Um, Alex, can I go to your room I need to change into something else”. Nora said

” You–“I got interrupted by my mother.

“Of course, why are you taking permission from him, this is your house too”.

” Okay”. She left before I could stop her.

       “Mom”.

“What? Get used to her as your fiancee”. she said and continued what she was doing.

I sighed as I became uncomfortable, I didn’t want them to know that Aurora was here. quickly I rushed to stop Nora from entering my room, I got there too late, but I was surprised not to see Aurora in the room.

” Um, do you find anything”. I asked while searching around the room thinking where Aurora could be.

“No, I was about to”. She walked to my wardrobe and was about to open it, I rushed to stop her and I could see the confusing look on her face.” Is everything okay?”.

“Yeah, I want to help you out”. I smiled nervously as I opened the wardrobe quietly to see if Aurora was hiding there, but unfortunately, she wasn’t, I sighed in relief and brought out one of the T-shirts and sweater pants and gave them to her.” Here, have this”.

“Thank you, Alex, you are so sweet”. She smiled.” I will make a change in the bathroom”.

“Bathroom”. I said to myself and I quickly wondered if maybe Aurora was hiding there. I rushed to stop her quickly.” hold on a sec. Let me see if I flushed the toilet well because I made use of it a while ago”.

      “Okay”. She smiles.

” Sure, one moment”. I left to the bathroom and searched every corner she wasn’t there. “Where could she be”. I wondered and then came out.” You can go in”. I said and she went inside and started searching every corner of the room for her, but I couldn’t find her, I wondered if she had gone outside the balcony because it was cold outside. I was about to take a step to the balcony when Nora interrupted me from behind.

“Am done”. She said and I turned to her.” How do I look?”.

“Er, great, my clothes fit you better”.

” Thank you, so, shall we?”.

“Um, sure”. We left the room.

       AURORA POV

All my years of being with Charles I have never felt like this for him before with the way my heart beat so fast for Alex, his touches and kisses are unexplainable, with the way he moved his mouth to mine and kissed me. sending his heated breaths directly into my mouth. The initial touch was soft and slow, and then he kissed me harder, his lips moving against mine with restrained intensity. He slid his hand from my hip down to my thigh that was when we got interrupted by the ringing of the doorbell, I had to make him stop in other to go and answer the door.

When he left I felt excited as I covered my body under the blanket memorizing the kiss, I had never been this happy in my life before and I wanted more of it. Just then I heard his mother’s voice from downstairs and that of his grandfather and Nora as well, my heart flinched.

” Oh no, they are here, I don’t want them to see me here”. I was thinking of what to do when I heard the sound of a lady’s heels approaching my direction.”Oh no “. I stood up from the bed quickly and I was looking for a place to hide, I tried the wardrobe it was too revealing and I might get caught, I rushed to the bathroom I was uncomfortable with it and then my mind moved to the balcony, it was cold outside, but I had no choice but to hide there is the only safest place to hide. I squeezed myself under the cold and my stomach began to growled as I could hear their conversation. I squat near the chair holding my stomach from growling. After a while I heard the door lock I knew they left already, so quickly I rushed back into the room shivering, I sat on the bed and used the blanket to wrap around my body.

       NARRATOR POV

An hour later, Alexander and his family were having their meal and his thought was on Aurora.

” Son, do you like the food?”.His mother asked jolting him out of his thoughts.

“Um, yes Mom, is nice”. He replied.

         ” Good, so eat more”.

“I will”. He said and was eating sluggishly.

” Son, I was hoping Nora could spend a night here”. She said and Alexander choked on his food and he quickly sipped from his water.

        “Are you okay?”. Nora asked.

” Yes, am fine”. he takes another gulp of his water.

“Nora, would you like to spend a night here?”. She asked.

” Um –” she got interrupted.

“I don’t think so mom, I will be going out later to Richard’s place and I might pass the night there”. He said.

        ” Oh, really?”.

        “Yes, Mom”.

” Okay, maybe next time”. She said and they continued eating.

Some minutes later, they were done eating and Nora cleared the dishes as they were ready to go.

“Hmm, Alex, can I wear your shirt home, I think I look more comfortable in this than my wear”. Nora said.

” Sure, you can have it “.

” Thank you”. She smiled and hugged him quickly, his mother smiled after them and then she pulled away from him.

“I will see you soon son”. his grandfather said.

” Okay grandfather”. He saw them off to their car, they entered and drove off as he waved at them. Soon, he rushed inside and locked the door behind him as he rushed back to his room. “Aurora”. he called and Aurora came out from the balcony.

” Alex”. she called and he turned to her as he rushed to pull her into his arms caressing her body.

“Am sorry I kept you waiting for so long”.

” Is okay, I understand”. She said and they pulled away from each other still in each other arms. just then their lips crushed on each other softly. “Alex”. she called between kisses.

        ” Mm”. He replied.

“Am famished”. She said and broke out from the kiss as her stomach growled.

” Oh, am sorry, I will fix you something to eat immediately”. he said and rushed out. Aurora smiled after him and sat down on the bed.

Some minutes later, both were in the dining eating and Alexander was staring lovingly at her and she became nervous.

“You are not eating?”. She asked seeing him not eating.

” Nah, the food is all yours”. he said.

“But I can’t finish them all alone?”.

” Don’t worry, you need the food more than I do”.

“Okay”. She blushed and continued eating.

” So, what now?”. he asked and Aurora stared confusedly at him.

       “I don’t get you.”

“What I mean is that, will report back to my company”.

      “Um”. She sputtered.

” I need you back Aurora, please come back”.

“I will think about it, sir”.

” Sir? What happened to the name you have been calling me”.

       “Um”

“I like it when you call me ‘Alex’ “.

” Okay, I will think about it”. She blushed.

“I will give you enough time to think about it”

They smiled at each other and she continued eating.

    ********

The next day, Aurora went back home and her grandmother was overwhelmed by joy to see her, they hugged and cried in each other arms for a while before they sat down and Aurora started telling her everything.

    #Unedited

During her stay in that cold cage, Shayla has heard muffled gossips about carnal pleasures a lot of time, but none of them included this one.

She had no idea a god’s mouth on a kitty would be this head-turning, but here she is, enjoying every bit of it.

She was gripping the sheets again before she knew it. Now it has become an habit.

The back of her legs rested on his back, and her throats let out careless m0ans which she didn’t care about whoever might be hearing.

Every part of her body is so turned on, so ready.

Shaking, breathless, empty-headed, she moaned again.

    “Ry…mmm”

It was small, but that make him eat more. Her cl+t cried into his mouth, and his eyes didn’t even close.

He was staring at her princess parts as he ate softly, giving her the chance to relish every thrust of his tongue.

His hands held her hips, fingers instrumenting her skin as his sweet mouth licked her, tonguing her slit apart. He entered her with his tongue, dragging higher.

“Please don’t stop…ohh my!” She dripped on his tongue as the emotions choked her, hanging her on a thread and leaving her to dangle, pleasure-trapping her.

Her throat felt dry even though her m0ans had been minimal.

Her stomach tightened, legs rubbing his back again as her hands rested on top her own br+à$ts.

“Ahhh….” She hit the bed with her small fist when the hotness came flooding again.

She dripped on his tongue for the second time, her taste wetting his buds with the likeness of a nectar.

He came up, held her face and kissed her, letting her have a taste of herself.

Her eyes snapped shut, and she enjoyed it, making sure to chase every taste.

As they kissed, he stripped himself, sliding his c+ck inside her ready core without warning.

    “Ohh…you’re so …”

“Big?” He interrupted, their eyes mirroring deeply as she layed still under him.

“No. I wanted to say sweet.” She replied, and he kissed her again.

He might be addicted to her lips, and she can’t deny that she feels the same.

She can’t get enough. She’s always hungry and craving.

    Always wanting.

When he started f+kin her, moving fast—in and out, inserting and removing it wetly, she was already gasping for breaths.

    “Ry! Geez!”

    “More… please more.”

He’s not too fast, not too slow, just in-between the line, and now she understands what he meant by ‘their first s+x was just a preamble’

This feels different, hits different. He’s banging the places she likes, and she’s rewarding him with sweet moans which upped the thrusts.

Arms entangled around his neck, legs collaring his waist, eyes into each other, he pulled out and rubbed her cl+t for a teasing minute, pleasuring her with his fingers before knocking his c+ck back inside, reaching another high.

“Yes Yes Yes! Please don’t stop!”

    “Yes!” She cried, inching up.

“Love it when you scream, that fuckin tiny voice would ruin me.” He whispered deeply, planting kisses on her face.

“I love it when you do me, too.” She shyly said, cheeks flushed.

“Well?” He replied proudly, and she smiled widely, caressing his neck.

He tinted up a bit, staring at their midsections where they’re conjoined.

She did the same, glancing at his cock inside her pink core.

“Beautiful, isn’t it?” He teased, bringing his forehead to hers. Their noses kissed.

“Very beautiful” she replied, and he chuckled, sounding more lively than he has ever been.

“Was I in your past life?” She asked.

“As my rose gardener. I tortured you openly and healed you secretly. Pearl saw that, and she went mad.” He replied without filter.

    “But… she was…”

“Don’t say wife. She wasn’t a wife if she stole the mantle from you back then.” He cut her off, rubbing his lips on her eyelashes.

“So…me. Am I your girlfriend now?” She asked, and he went silent.

“Will I become your girlfriend when your heart starts beating for me?” She asked again, eyes so expectant.

“You wanna be?” He replied, rubbing her face delicately.

“I…dunno. But I love the sound of it.” She replied, softly.

He held her chin, inching up her lips but he didn’t kiss. He just stared at it.

“You have the prettiest lips ever, and t+ts, and cl+t. Face is a ten, too.” he said, ogling.

She licked his finger, and he chuckled, readjusting himself before starting to f+ck her again.

Her sweet tight p+ßsy embraced him, strangling his c+ck and taking him so good. He has never felt this insatiable. He kept thrusting.

Kept taking her, giving her exactly what her body needed.

Her mouth fell apart, moans spilling with deep grunts for over an hour.

By the time they were done, she was already so tired…so exhausted.

Ryker ran her a cold bathwater, and he bathed her by himself. She was even already sleeping before her body hit the bathtub.

He gave her the best bubble bath and dressed her up in a long white singlet which stopped on her knees.

He had a warm shower too, changing his robe to blue.

He covered her up in bed and placed a kiss on her hair, inhaling her scent addictively from her skin.

He placed his nose there for long before he could move away.

He left the room, meeting his knights at the middle balcony.

“Xena is back at the servants quarters,” Sage reported.

“Here, the park news.” Cheyenne handed him her phone.

Ryker took it, seeing that the news about the four burnt guys is already flying around, and a lot of people recognize Shayla as the 150 billion slave, his partner.

There’s no stop to it. The news is out and Zeke has probably heard it right now which is good.

“Won’t this put a hitch in your plan? You wanted to lay low, but now that everyone found out about her fire, what’s gonna happen?” Sage asked.

“More reason to lay low and make them believe I’m a slacker who’s doing nothing. Let them soak in the news and make more plans in the dark for the next one week.” Ryker said, resting his palm on the rail.

“Does that mean we’re spending the next one week in Russia?” Cheyenne asked eagarly.

“We’re not returning to this city till the eve of the Feast.” Ryker replied flatly, facing the two.

“Your lordship, the plan is still the same, right?” Sage asked.

“Wouldn’t change plans without telling you both,” Ryker’s brows dipped. “On the night of the feast, a member of the Millions Family is dying, and you already know who my target is. They’ll start paying for their sins that night, and I’m killing one by one. One per year.”

There was silence after he said that.

“Travel is tomorrow morning, you might wanna go repack. I need to get to the slaves kitchen.” He continued.

They both didn’t argue, they left the balcony, and Ryker left for the kitchen.

He didn’t bother teleporting. He walked his way there.

    [A Far-off Cornfield]

Sadie send Mercury home, so she’s the only one who brought Rumi here.

She claimed that Soren is her brother, so she’s the only who who has the right to punish her for trying to steal him away.

She tied Rumi to the ground, connecting the ropes to the root of the only oak tree in the middle of that green cornfield.

She was holding a slanted bottle of alcohol as she strolled around in front of the bound girl, and Rumi’s eyes refused to open.

Her mouth is currently gagged, and her face is down.

Sadie took a sip from the alcohol bottle before ripping the gag away from Rumi’s mouth.

She threw her hand to her face, slapping her soundly.

Her fingers printed on Rumi’s cheek, and her face shot up. Her mouth opened, and she cracked it, resetting the cheekbones.

Sadie slapped her again, so the cheekbones went dislocated.

Again, Rumi cracked her mouth, resetting the bone.

Sadie raised her hand for the third slap, and Rumi looked up.

“Has anyone ever told you how cute you are when displaying your madness? It’s swoon-worthy.” She said, crowning the words with a big smile despite her burning cheek.

“Xena Morozov,” Sadie scoffed. “You’re braver than I thought, and now you’ve got the nerves to talk back at me?”

“Sadie Millions, I swear to Satan…no one’s scared of you,” Rumi laughed, looking around mockingly before settling her gaze back to Sadie.

“Who exactly do you think you are? You’re the weakest of the twins and you have no use. You’re the useless one but you’ve failed to see that! You’re stupid!” Rumi snarled.

Sadie’s hand went down, she angrily pulled Rumi up from the ground, thudding her on the oak tree.

“Say that again! Repeat that you scum! Say that again!!” She kneeled Rumi in the pu+*y.

Rumi groaned out, laughing despite the pains.

But her laughter didn’t last long. She suddenly opened her mouth, casting a sleeping spell.

Black flames hit Sadie’s face, and Sadie fell on the ground, sleeping off.

Rumi untied the ropes from herself, dumping it on the ground and kicking Sadie’s body out of the way.

“Killing you would be a waste of my energy, Sadie. Would have killed Mercury if you had brought her with us. At least, she’s a soul shifter and I could siphon her ability, but you? You’re as empty as a shell, all you have is this unending hatred that’s not gonna give me money.” She kicked Sadie’s body again and again.

Five times in total before walking out of the cornfield, stepping out to the main road.

She dialled the line and dusted her gown.

“I came to the palace, but the twin girl captured me. I left her consciousness in a cornfield though, casted a sleeping spell on the dummy.” She said.

“You came to the East Palace without telling me? Rumi!” The voice scolded.

“I wanted to see Soren, don’t blame my crave. He’s the only thing we both care about yunno? We need him more than anything.” Rumi replied, stopping in the middle of the road when she saw a truck driver approaching.

She slid a small knife out of her bra, throwing it forward.

The blade sliced into the truck window, and before the driver could reverse, he got stabbed in the neck.

Rumi dragged his body out and hopped in the car, driving away.

She held the phone to her ear with her shoulder.

“Let’s meet for coffee tomorrow, been a while since we drank together.”

“Promise me you won’t come to the palace again, it’s dangerous.” The voice replied.

“I’ll wait till Monday to see him, i have no plans to step the palace again till the feast day.” She said.

“We meet tomorrow, the usual bar.” The voice quipped, hanging up.

    [West Palace, Faye’s Room]

Faye has been staring at her phone screen since she got the short text, and no matter how long she ruminates about it, there’s only one person in her mind.

She stared at the text again…

    • I know what you are, Faye.

“Rumi? It better not be you sending this, or else I’ll submit your dead body to your twin sister by myself.” She muttered.

She stood in front of her full mirror, the agonizing screams of her viper clansmen sounded in her two ears, filling her with rage.

She rested both palms on the mirror, glaring at herself.

    Their screams continued coming.

    “Please don’t kill us!”

“We’re too peaceful for this! We did nothing wrong!!!”

    “Faye! Faye run!!!!”

    “Mother! Father!!!”

The more she remembered, the angrier she became.

Angrily, she slammed her forehead on that mirror, hurting herself badly.

“Faye!” Blaise entered the room, his eyes widening when he saw what had happened.

Fates blood pooled at her feet as it bled from her forehead to her face and clothes.

She stood there, staring at him without moving.

“F+ck, Faye why?” He muttered, looking scared.

Five minutes later, he has already wiped the blood away from the ground.

He made her sit in bed and called Winona to come heal her.

“Why the hell would you slam your own head on the mirror, you recalcitrant girl.” Winona scolded.

“Sorry, I just got a really manic episode of something personal.” Faye replied, and Winona sighed.

“Even though, what if it was 12? Then you’d have to suffer in pains till daybreak before I’d be able to heal you.” Winona said.

“I’ll be more careful.” Faye smiled.

“Better,” Winona rolled eyes. “I was planning to come tell you about the latest news…Apparently, Shayla got her fire already.”

    “Seriously?” Blaise and Faye chorused

Winona handed them her tab, and they both scrolled through the news.

    “Yes!!” Blaise jumped.

“It really f+kin worked!” Faye said.

“I know, right? Now we only have to wait for Ryker’s next action. Hoping it’d favor us.” Winona said.

    “Where is mother?” Blaise asked.

    “And father?” Faye added.

“They’re both drinking at the lobby” Winona said.

“Are you sure it’s the right time to celebrate? We still haven’t found out the reason for your midnight curse, and someone ripped off three pages from the journal, so…” Faye said.

“That can wait till tomorrow, but tonight, we celebrate!! Helping the demigod deserves a medal!” Winona screamed, rushing out.

Blaise was already following her when he remembered Faye, so he turned back.

    “Not coming?”

“Says who?” She rolled eyes, walking past him and going out of the room.

“Can never get used to her unfriendliness.” Blaise commented, exiting too.

    [Vega Mansion, Sword Room]

Esme wore a yellow flowing robe which matched the aesthetics of the room she’s in, and she strolled it with a wine cup sitting on her hand.

She looks too deep in thoughts.

Every godslayer has a sword, and this sword room was designed to be the house of the sword, but the sword is not ready yet, so the sword hanger is still empty by the wall.

Esme rested her back on the only shelf in the room, taking the book of gods from the shelf.

She was about to flip it open when Mercury entered the room, looking angry.

“You clearly said you were going to spend the night at the East Palace with the twins.” Esme said, dropping the book and glass.

“We caught Xena coming out of the twins room where she went to s+duce Soren, and we took her to a cornfield to torture, but Sadie sent me away, saying she’s Soren’s sister and she’s the only one who has the right to torture Xena. Bull, she doesn’t even know how I feel about Soren. Is she going gatekeep her brother for life?” Mercury ranted, taking the glass and draining the wine at a go.

“Maybe it’s hightime you let go of your feelings for Soren, you know how territorial Sadie can be, and if she finds out, she’d hate you.” Esme said, drawing closer with a convincing smile.

“You can’t ruin your friendship with Sadie cos of your likeness for Soren.” She continued, and that was replied by the crashing of the wine glass.

Mercury threw it against the wall, sending the pieces around.

“Mercury!” Esme held her two ears in horror, and Mercury walked fast to her as if possessed.

“Give up? It’s been years! I’ve been in love with him since we were kids! Do you know how hard it is to keep bottling my feelings just so Sadie wouldn’t find out?”

“Mercury Vega!” Esme cautioned, looking shocked.

Mercury hasn’t crashed out like this before.

Mercury touched her neck, giving it scratches without getting a itch, then she stepped back, panting..

“Focus on your godslaying ability, how to get the godslayer sword and how to wield it! Don’t interfere in my love life!”

She left the room after that, and Esme blinked multiple times, resting on the shelf again.

“When did my daughter become this psychotic? Oh my days!”

    [East Palace, Slaves Kitchen]

Serving the slaves dinner took longer than usual today, so at 10, Old Chef is still busy doing dishes.

Xena joined him after she arrived from the park earlier, and she kept looking at the time, wondering if Soren is waiting at the attic already.

    It’s already past 10.

“You still haven’t told me where the Grand Supreme took you to in the morning.” She said suddenly.

Old Chef removed his hands from the lather water, wiping it on his apron.

“It’s nothing, Xena. They didn’t hurt me, and that’s what’s more important.”

“They didn’t hurt you, but they did something to you. you’re keeping secrets.” She replied, facing him.

Old Chef sighed, wanting to hold her shoulders, but that was when he came inside the kitchen.

    Ryker.

One minute, Xena and Old Chef were standing in front of each other, and in another minute, Old Chef was thrown into the fireplace in the kitchen.

“Father!!!!!” Xena screamed, dragging him out of the fire with his legs.

Half of the hair on his head is already burnt by now, and it’s smelling like an animal grill.

“Oh no. Oh no….” Xena cried, kneeling in front of the old man and wrapping a piece of clothe on his half burnt head, but it wasn’t over.

Ryker pushed him again. He didn’t have to touch him, his mind is enough.

Old Chef slipped away from Xena’s hand, and he landed back into the fire, the mark on Ryker’s back glossing sharply.

“Father!!!!!” Xena screamed again, dragging him out of the fire again. The smell of burnt meat took over the kitchen, more thick than the first.

By now, all of Old Chef’s hair are gone, and his head is madly burnt. He looks like an horror movie character.

“Anatoli” Ryker muttered his name, and Old Chef looked up, crying.

“I swear they made me sign the marriage pact forcefully, it wasn’t my fault!!”

Houseflies and bees suddenly filled the kitchen, and Ryker didn’t need anyone to tell him before he knew it’s Xena’s handiwork.

He frosted the kitchen atmosphere, and the low temperature made the bees and houseflies drop dead on the ground at the same time.

They filled the ground with no floor space at all.

    Xena stood, coming from Ryker.

She stood on a stool and raised her hand to his face to slap.

Ryker grabbed that hand, tightly, and their livid eyes bored into each other.

“You might hate him like mad, but he’s still our father! Also, you might be taller and a powerful demigod, but I’m still older than you heartless bastard!” Xena sat angrily.

“Took you long enough to call me that with everyone else.” Ryker smirked.

“That night when father left pregnant mother at home and went to the bar to drink, it was because he was fed up! Do you know how broke he was when mother was pregnant with you? You’ve been drinking blood since you were in the womb, bastard!”

“Mother was always short of blood when you were inside her so she was always on blood transfusion! There was even a time when she drank directly from a blood bag cos she was going crazy! Father sold too many properties to buy blood always! He could barely feed us! On that fateful day, he left mother at home and went to the bar cos he wanted to go drink with his last cash and commit suicide, but he made the mistake of touching Azura cos he was drunk!!”

“If your pregnancy didn’t come, all of that wouldn’t have happened! If mother didn’t get pregnant with a bloodthirsty devil like you! If she had just stopped with I and Rumi, then she’d still be alive by now so stop trying to project your fault on father! Stop hurting him!!”

As the words left Xena’s mouth, she wasn’t blinking nor stopping.

She said everything as if she had been pregnant with the words and just waiting for today to spill it all out to his face.

Ryker’s hold on her hand got rougher, and the blue in his eyes went down. His palm went cold.

She could feel his blood flowing through him.

He bent her wrist backward, breaking it before breaking the stool beneath her feet.

Xena fell from the stool to the ground, groaning.

Despite Old Chef’s head pains, he grabbed her to himself, both looking so helpless as Ryker started walking out of the kitchen.

Almost all the Millions family members are by the door already except Jude and Sadie.

“What a lovely, lovely family history.”  Granny Tara commented.

“Are you just knowing he’s a bloodthirsty devil?” Zeke laughed, his hands in pockets.

Azura said nothing, Soren said nothing too. He’s just holding his rabbit in his arms, looking at Xena with different eyes.

“Ryker,” Granny Jojo called, but he looked at no one at all.

“Finally got to meet the demigod, but too bad he’s not in a good mood” Granny Tara spoke again.

With a wave of his hand, he got Tara out of the way.

Tara fell in Zeke’s arms, and they both sneered as Ryker went out of sight, his robe dragging.

“For saying all of that to him, I’ll give you a reward tomorrow,” Zeke laughed, facing Xena.

    “Whoa! This made my night.”

“Are you gonna continue going around with your stung wrist?” Granny Tara faced Soren.

“Fine, you don’t have to kiss the snake, I’ll make you some pills and—”

“I don’t need your pills, I’m good.” Soren cut her off, leaving the kitchen.

    “Rude” Tara said.

“Looks like he found a way to cure himself, let’s leave.” Zeke said, leaving with her.

“Now that her fire is out, what next?” She asked as they walked side-by-side.

“Doesn’t change anything. Everything is set for the feast. Don’t panic.” Zeke grinned.

Azura and Granny Jojo are still in front of the kitchen, staring at Xena and the chef.

“You’re one ungrateful little bîtch, Xena.” Jojo muttered, walking away eventually.

“It’s been two hours, and Lilith still isn’t back with any news.” Azura said, following her.

“She asked for five hours, so chill.” Jojo replied.

Xena helped Old Chef up, holding his burnt head carefully. Her broken wrist is shaking.

“I’ll get you to the West Palace and see if they can heal burns.” She said.

“You shouldn’t have said that to him.” Old Chef cried.

“Let’s just go” Xena dragged him out.

    [Underground Realm]

After leaving Mount Zhitomir, Pearl had led Jude to her realm, just the two of them.

According to her, her palace is underground, and they’ve been searching for hours.

It has been locked and hidden for centuries, so finding it is a heinous task which they’ve been dragging themselves through all day.

    They haven’t rested.

Ground through layers of sand, dust, rocks, water and dead bones.

“Even if I’m not telling you about my tiredness, you should already know I’m fed up. I mean…how many hours do we have to search for?” Jude yawned behind her.

“You agreed to follow me on your own, but there’s still a chance for you to leave if you’re not comfortable with this,” Pearl faced him squarely.

“Every god to his or her own palace. Do you think Ryker has no palace too? His ice palace is just still hidden.” She said.

    “And Shayla?” Jude asked.

“Of course she does, the most uncomfortable palace ever. I mean… who’d live in the middle of burning fire all day and night. She’s definitely planning to stay with my husband at his ice palace later, but I’ll make that impossible.” Pearl said.

A low crackling sound behind them caused the two to turn.

Right in front of them, a large iron gate appeared, and Pearl smiled satisfactorily.

Waving her robe arm, the gate slipped open, revealing her underground palace to their eyes.

“So…it really does exist.” Jude nodded, his eyes settling on the waiting throne.

“Be my first visitor, and plan chaos with me.” Pearl faced him, inviting him inside with a hand gesture.

“What card do you actually have?” Jude asked curiously.

“Don’t rush, there’s still enough time to introduce you to darkness.” Pearl smiled, leading him inside.

    [Next Morning]

Shayla stirred to a new feel beneath her, and she just knows this is different from what she slept on last night. It’s different from what Ryker did it with her on.

Her eyes flipped open, she sat up, and her environment confirmed her suspicions immediately.

    She’s in a glass house.

This room if even larger than Ryker’s bedroom in Heartless Tower.

Treasures hung on the wall and decorated the ground, there are displays of the glittering gold and silver crawling around the glasses like snakes.

The ceiling tile and flooring are sparkling white that it feels not right to step on them.

There are jade rose baskets hanging on the walls and the ceiling tiles too, with few flowers in the middle, and they smell so good that she inhaled.

Bright white lights with faint blue in their middle, and the door feels like a country apart as it’s so far from the large bed.

She sat on the edge of the bed, taking another look at the room.

    More confusion.

Judging by the treasures everywhere and the luxury wealthy style, this place belongs to Ryker, but this is surely not the Heartless Tower.

She looked down at her body, seeing she’s wearing aong singlet. Her subconscious knew he bathed her after they did it, so he must have wore this for her?

She finally stepped down from the bed when she saw her phone lying on the bedstand beside an alarm clock.

She picked it up, checking the date…

“10? Did I sleep for two days?” She gasped loudly.

Then she started hearing voices from the other side of the door.

She calmed, straining her ears to listen more.

“Cheyenne and Sage?” She muttered, rushing out of the room barefooted.

The grounds of the mansion is glass too, and there’s a whole aquarium there with several goldfishes swimming around the flooring.

It looks unreal and too good to be true, but she focused on tracing the voices to a kitchen-like room.

Cheyenne and Sage sat there, eating different Russian dishes on the same table, facing each other.

Cheyenne was the first to see her, and when she saw how her nîpples are poking through the singlet she’s wearing, she quickly covered Sage’s eyes.

“Why would you cover me?” Sage moved her hand.

“Close your eyes, she’s here and her clothe is thin.” Cheyenne replied.

Sage understood immediately. His eyes snapped shut.

Cheyenne picked a jacket from the backrest of her chair, coming to Shayla to cover her chest with it.

“Where are we?” Shayla asked in a mutter.

“Russia.” Cheyenne replied, and Shayla gasped.

“Welcome, to the human realm.” Sage joined them.

“Oh my gosh!” Shayla screamed, rushing out of the kitchen.

“Your footwear!” Sage shouted, quickly going to get it.

“You better not hurt that leg, Goddess!” Cheyenne went after her as she raced to the first balcony she saw.

Standing there, she gasped as Russia air hit her skin, filling her with new sensations and mood.

She can’t see the city from here cos this glass mansion is enclosed, but at least she could feel the change in air and vibes.

“If you’re lucky to have a date with boss, he’ll take you round the city.” Cheyenne said, arriving with Sage.

Sage dropped her footwear, and Shayla slipped her feet into the two.

“Where’s he? How did I even get here? How come today is tenth?” Shayla inquired.

“Boss is in Moscow, he has been in Moscow since we arrived yesterday. There’s a whole lot of meetings and conference to be at. His business headquarters is in this country.” Cheyenne explained.

    “Moscow?” Shayla asked.

“Capital of Russia, just thirty minutes flight from here” Cheyenne replied.

“And yes, we came here when you were sleeping. We were supposed to wait till daybreak, but Xena did something terrible, so boss made sure we left Luminaria that night.” Sage answered the second question.

“And… today is tenth cos we’re in the human world. Their time is faster here so we’ve been here since two days ago. In Luminaria, the date is 9th.” Cheyenne said.

Shayla calmed, grateful for that clear explanation.

“When…is he returning?” Shayla asked slowly.

“He’ll return any day he’s done at the headquarters, and we’ve been assigned to take care of your needs, your ladyship.” Sage bowed funnily.

“Stop it…” Shayla blinked. “I’m just Shayla.”

“More than just, please don’t say things boss hates” Sage replied, and Cheyenne smiled.

“Tell me what you’d like to have for breakfast, I’ll make it while you go clean up.” She said, handing her a iPad.

Shayla took it, scrolling through the different Russian meals which she could already smell their deliciousness through the screen

She clicked three randomly, and true to Cheyenne’s words, the meal esd ready before she finished cleaning up.

Cheyenne is fast with food, and she wondered where she learnt it from.

She ate her fill of the breakfast, and after she was done, she rested and then followed the knights to the practice room in the mansion.

There are unlit candles sitting in thin plates everywhere, then there are so many unlit fireplaces too.

“The practice is for me?” Shayla asked.

“Who else? You burned four guys cos you can’t control your fire yet. You need to learn control seriously.” Cheyenne replied.

“They touched Xena inappropriately, and though I feel bad for doing that, but they were being scummy.” Shayla explained.

“Can you stop mentioning Xena?” Sage said behind her.

“What exactly did Xena do?” Shayla asked.

“We don’t wanna talk about it” Cheyenne said.

Shayla sighed, looking at the array of candles and fireplaces.

“I know you’re a lazy bone who only wants to spend time with boss and slack off, but you can’t escape this.” Sage said strictly.

“I know,” Shayla said, going closer to the middle of the room.

“Good. Boss can manage his ice, and that’s why he can freeze and unfreeze anytime he wants. You should also be able to put out your fire if you’re not in the mood to kill a scum completely.” Cheyenne said.

“You should close your eyes now, and try putting fire on these candles one by one.” Sage said.

Shayla’s eyes went shut, and she dragged in a breath, focusing.

Every single candle caught fire. Even the fireplace lit up, burning bright.

“Oh…well. She’d burn everyone in Luminaria. At this rate, you’ll never be able to control.” Sage muttered.

Shayla shut her eyes back, determined to put out the fire one by one, but she felt a slight drop underneath herself.

She understood immediately, and she moved to Cheyenne.

    “Want anything?” Cheyenne asked.

“Period. My period.” She whispered, trying not to sound embarrassed.

“Come here, I’ll get you pads.” Cheyenne pulled her out of the room.

    [Moscow, Frost H2O Headquarters]

It has been one product showcasing to another since yesterday. There has been no rest since the products are detailed and very much.

Not only the Russian ones, but his branches from the other parts of the world are also sending in samples for his knowing eyes to check out.

He’s on the third showcasing today, and as he sat in the middle of the large glittering room with his treasure team and shine men, he looks as different as he always looks whenever he’s in a suit.

It’s orange color this time, but the trousers are the usual loose, and he’s extra smart, hot.

His eyes aren’t blinking under his fallen dark hair strands as he accessed the jewelries rolling in through the show glasses one after the other.

    “That one’s too small”

“Get that one off the glass”

“Not that one… it’s too bleak”

    “Replace the sapphire with jade.”

“Get that one across the branches.”

“Reduce the crystal on this one”

Those were his unending comments as he scrolled past the items, and as he picked and dropped, his active team followed the orders.

The showcase hasn’t even reached the middle when he felt the mark on his back glowing.

It doesn’t only glow when he’s mad, it also glows when Shayla bleeds, so he was alerted immediately.

Confirming his suspicions, Cheyenne’s call rang on his phone immediately.

He raised an hand, and that was enough to stop the shine team.

They paused the scrolling glass, and Ryker picked the call.

“Tell me she’s not really bleeding, or I’ll make you and Sage bleed times twenty of whatever she bleeds.” He deadpanned.

“She’s bleeding, but it’s her period, and I dunno…i think it’s because she just got her mark. Her temperature went high the moment the bleeding started, and she has vomited the breakfast she ate cos of irritation. She’s very sick, Boss.” Cheyenne reported.

Before she could even finish speaking, Ryker was already on his tall feet.

“You can’t leave yet, Mr. Morozov. We’ve barely distributed to ten branches, and you’re yet to check over five hundred products. There’s still a lot to do.” The team leader blocked him.

“Scram, this is more important.” Ryker replied, still flat in the face but already getting angry.

“Boss, your exit means we’ll lose billions across the branches, and you know it.” The leader insisted.

“My baby needs me, alright?” Ryker pushed him out of the way savagely.

“Your…baby?” The leader said in confusion, having the same confused face as the rest of the thirty members of the team.

Ryker looked back at him over his shoulder, smirking.

“Oh…you wouldn’t understand what that means. I mean…My Girlfriend.” He finished him completely.

    TBC.

The absence of Ryker’s lips made Shayla’s lashes separate, her eyes opened, catching his own.

He looks the same, but there’s a small tilt below his right brow.

“Moy Vladika, are you ok?” She asked the first question that came to mind.

He kept looking at her as if there’s something hanging on her face.

The moonlight shattered between them, brightening the island more, but she has no business with that beauty right now.

    Something isn’t right.

“Huh? Are you…ok?” She asked again, lifting her palm to his forehead to touch gently.

“But your temperature isn’t too cold” she muttered confusedly.

Ryker took her hand away, sitting back on the chair. He gave her smallest finger a slow caress before letting it go.

“Explore, it’s all yours.” He said point blank.

Shayla did her slow blink. “But you suddenly broke the…kiss.” she drawled carefully.

“What? You wanna continue?” He leaned in sharply with that smug expression again.

Shayla stepped away before he could reach her. A cute chuckle filled her lips as her steps fell afar.

“No. I’m just worried, you seemed to be zoning out.” she said, subtly biting the inside of her mouth.

    The NO was a lie.

None of their kisses has lasted as long as she wanted, and that hurts.

Maybe she’s the greedy addicted one, or maybe he’s the one not giving enough, but all she knows is that once his lips separates from hers, she’d be wanting more, and more.

Ryker lowered his hand, taking a cup of alcohol from the table, but he poured it away without drinking.

No idea why, but the smell of food and drinks just have a way of irritating him, but he ate the salad from her the other time, and he took a bite from her strawberry earlier without getting that irritation.

She’s really effortlessly making him do these things.

A smirk formed on his lips, and his mind zoned to what happened some minutes ago.

    The foreign surge inside him.

Last time he felt this surge was 200 years ago, he got so weak without a reason, and he had to go into seclusion for a year.

The surge is like a premonition of bad things, meaning he has to heighten his carefulness.

He looked ahead, and he squinted a bit when he saw Shayla inside the island river already.

The water reached her knees, not very deep.

She’s looking at the river with the stare of an huntress, and he sighted what she’s hunting for—a octopus.

She has been chasing it around the water for minutes now, but her warmth is driving the sea animal away from her.

She went down to catch it again, and Ryker secretly stretched two fingers forward, freezing the octopus.

Shayla was finally able to catch, and the smile that rubbed on her face afterwards was priceless.

She looked up, raising the animal as she walked out of the water.

Her boots are completely wet with the water, even the down parts of her jean pants. They’re all dripping as she came back to him with a little run.

“Look, I got it.” She said, breathing heavily and dangling it.

“Messy, are you gonna eat that?” He frowned.

“No! It’s just fun catching it. When I was young, I had no friends or playmates, and I’ve always wanted to go on play outings to the park, but all I got was beatings and ill-treatment from Ma, so don’t be mad at me if I get messy sometimes. I guess my inner child is still breathing.” She said, face going down.

“Who said you could go sad?” Ryker talked.

She looked up quickly. “You’re really not angry about it?”

“You’re cute when you play childish.” He replied seriously, and she smiled wide with a huge blush to crown it.

“What are you going to do with that?” He asked, looking at the octopus. “Kill it?” He lifted his hand.

“No! Everything isn’t about killing please! I’ll return it to the water!” She quickly rushed two steps back to the shallow water.

She threw the octopus back inside, and as she rushed back, Ryker waved his arm.

Their chic outfits changed to robes. Black and pink respectively. On the waist of Shayla’s robe, there’s a tiny scent bag hanging there.

“Whoa! The more I know you, the cooler you turn out to be, Boss.” Shayla said, jumping a bit so her robe flowed with the air.

“Don’t call me that, or I’ll really kill you.” He deadpanned, walking ahead of her.

Shayla was skipping her legs behind him till she got in front of him.

    She faced him, walking backwards.

“Why can’t I call you that, Boss?” She intentionally asked with a warm teasing smile.

He didn’t reply, so she stopped walking, till he walked past her.

“Boss, you really don’t like the name? Huh?” She went after him again, holding the tip of his robe with that tip of her fingers.

Ryker smiled secretly, but Shayla saw it, and she chuckled, staring at him with with eyes full of admiration.

    Suddenly, Ryker stopped, facing her.

She let go of his robe tip.

“Get a different name.” He said.

    “Boss?” She replied.

“I’ll seriously kill you” he glared, his deep voice tickling her ears.

“Moy Vladika?” She said, getting serious too.

“No. You have three days to form one, your highness.” He replied, taking her hand and pulling her over the bridge.

“Three…days? That’s too small.” She complained.

“I don’t care.” He replied, caging her to the bridge rails suddenly. Their lips almost touched.

Her breaths hitched, and she expected something steamy again, but Ryker just teleported with her.

    [West Palace, 11PM]

    Everyone is sitting down.

Kasia and Astor on a couch.

    Winona on a single couch.

Faye and Blaise on another couch.

Rumi is sitting on a stool in the middle of everyone of them, and there’s a permanent smile on her face.

Her gun is still in her right hand.

On the left hand, she’s eating a gumbo soup which she scooped from their kitchen.

“You better decide who’s gonna die first, cos if I finish this soup without any decision from y’all, I’ll kill everyone using the same bullet. It’ll go from one body to another.” She said, bringing another spoon of the soup to her mouth.

Faye is exchanging signals with Astor, using her eyes.

Blaise is communicating with Winona and Kasia too with his body.

“And if you think this is an ordinary cartridge gun, then you’re wrong.” Rumi continued, raising the gun.

Her badass smile spread to her eyes as she stared at the gun like her priceless treasure.

“I cast a spell on the bullet, one can kill at least seven people at once. It doesn’t matter if you’re Eternals or not, it’d cut your lives short.” She stood, dropping the soup plate.

She faced Faye, stretching the gun to aim at her.

“You shouldn’t have gone to my client’s house, Faye.

“Shoot me, if you dare!” Faye spranged up suddenly.

Rumi didn’t waste time after hearing those daring words.

    She fired.

The echoing sound of gunshot blasted through the silent air, causing everyone else to stand up.

“Faye!!” They shouted collectively, horror and terror accumulating.

Faye fell on the couch, her shot chest bleeding to the ground, but she made no sound, just there like a dead weight.

“I’ve lived for hundreds of years, and for those years, I wrecked havoc everywhere I went. They know my history in every non-human city I visited. Eclypseria, Solaria, Vekkar, Kelara! just name it! I kill families and murder friends to shred attachments, and you…a mere snake… you wanna act as a stunt in my way? You’re way too full of yourself.” Rumi scoffed.

But her expression experienced a breach when Faye suddenly stood from the couch like she wasn’t the one who just got shot.

She brought her palm to her mouth, vomiting the bullet on it.

    Rumi’s eyes snapped.

“A mere snake?” Faye smiled too, psychotic and dark. “That’s where you’re mistaken, bî+ch. I’m a white viper, and your spelled bullet is a poison I can easily neutralize. I’ve been eating poison since long ago, so you’re the one who should be scared, cos I show no mercy to your kind!”

“Thank you Faye!” Blaise hailed from the other end of the room.

Just one second, Faye transformed, her snake form nearly took over every part of the living room.

    Winona disappeared into the wall.

Blaise’s red hair shone in waves.

Kasia and Astor stood side by side, and they successfully trapped Rumi in the middle.

Unluckily for her, the gun only has one bullet, so it’s useless now.

She grabbed their mop stick from the ground, bringing it to her knees to break away the woolen part.

She kept the stick, defending herself with it from the whole family, but she’s no match.

Winona bursted out of the wall behind her, giving her a hit at the back of the neck which sent her flying to Blaise.

Blaise’s hair strands messed with her eyes, but she was able to smack Blaise with her stick twice before she went down flat.

From there, Kasia and Astor mind-lifted the center table, bringing it down on her body.

The table shattered to bits on her body, sending glasses across the lobby. Rumi’s blood flooded the middle, and now it’s Faye’s turn.

She crawled aggressively to that middle, wrapping her tail on Rumi’s body. She threw her off that angle, and Rumi’s body travelled to the railings where she hung like a rag.

She spit hot blood to the ground, and she jumped down the bloody railings with heavily bruised body.

From there, she went out of the top window, bursting out of it. She left with the breeze.

Faye transformed back, and Blaise quickly took off his jacket to cover her naked body with, but Winona stopped him.

“Close your darn eyes, pervert.” She rolled eyes, snatching the jacket from him to go cover Faye with.

“But I covered her in Eclypseria, nothing I haven’t seen.” Blaise muttered.

“That was a great warmup.” Kasia smiled at Astor.

    “I know, right?” He chuckled.

“All thanks to Faye” Winona said.

    “Of course” Blaise nodded.

“To get her mark back, she has to travel back to the past, into her own memory.” Faye said calmly.

“I’ll text Ryker. He rarely checks texts, so let’s hope he sees this.” Kasia said, getting her phone.

Rumi was staggering as she walked the last street that leads to the city. Her arms are on the wall, dragging with her heels on the ground.

Her blood was drawing on the wall, and she’s still vomiting blood.

The wounds on her body still bleeding.

She entered a alchemist shop, and the alchemist stood shockingly at her sight, wondering where she got thrashed so much.

“Painkiller herb” she ordered, leaning on the counter.

    She held her bleeding rib.

The man gave her a strange look before taking out a small bottle which he handed to her.

Rumi drank it all at a go, wiping her lips with her palm.

“That’d be two thousand nyx.” The alchemist said.

Unfortunately, those were his last words.

Rumi stabbed his neck with the rim of the bottle, and she exhaled as his bloody body dropped at her feet.

She got a whole pack of the painkiller herb before stumbling out of the shop.

Her pains lessened already by now, and she can walk without holding walls, but her mouth still tastes metallic with blood.

Cracking her neck, she pulled out a small phone and dialled a line.

“The secret got out, and knowing how desperate Ryker is, he’d want to make her travel back in time into her memories to get the mark back, and that’s where I’ll wait at. I’ll kill her inside her memories.” She said.

“How exactly did the secret get out?” A low voice asked from the other end

“Faye, the stupid snake from West Palace. She’s stronger than I think, can’t believe my spelled bullet failed on that bî+ch.” Rumi stood upright.

“Get me everything you can find about her origin. If I’m gonna kill her, I’ll have to rummage through her background first.”

She hung up and poured another bottle of the herb down her throat, then she dipped her hand into the back pocket of her trousers.

She pulled out a small picture of Soren, staring at it as she walked into a dark boulevard.

    [Next Morning, King Mansion]

Liza started her day with money packaging.

She was sweating as she threw the wads of cash into a tall black bag inside her workroom.

She has vowed to never give Rumi even a stipend anymore, but she can’t let her ruin her plan now that the Feast is close.

    She can’t risk it.

She threw the last bundle into the bag and was about to zip it up when she saw Kade standing by the door, staring at her with spite.

Had she forgotten to shut the door?

“Kade… you’re ready for school?” She ineptly said, smiling.

“The more I see you, the more I wish you weren’t my mother. Why did you have to give birth to Shayla too? Why!!!” He yelled.

    “Kade—”

“I’ll go in search of additional powers wherever it is. I only have to wait for the right time and opportunity, and find a way to create a rift between her and the demigod.” He threatened and left the room, shutting the door with a loud slam.

Liza ignored his rants and zipped up the money bag. She got her phone and dialled Rumi.

“Money is ready, let’s meet at the park as planned. I have all you need to keep your mouth shut!”

“Deal’s off, the secret is open.” Rumi replied bluntly.

“What are you talking about!” Liza demanded.

“Faye from the West was at your mansion last night. She’s a slithering viper snake, and she heard our conversation.” Rumi explained.

“What!!” Liza sat on the bag, tension taking over her body. “Now what? What’s next?”

“I’ll wait inside the memories for Shayla, and I’ll kill her.” Rumi replied.

    “Rumi!” Liza stood immediately.

“What? Shocked? My brother Ryker deserves to spend his long life in freezing cold. When I helped you put the spell on her, I had no intention of ever removing it, so it is what it is. I always have a plan A, B, C for my shit, even plan D and E. I’m always prepared, and I’ll end everything myself.” Rumi sighed and hung up.

“Darnnn” Liza growled, running out of the room.

    [Vega Mansion]

“Miss, your congee is ready. I added meatballs like you wanted.” The only maid in the mansion said as Mercury came out of her room.

    Mercury ignored the old woman.

She just walked to the dinning, had her seat and started eating.

“Baby, you’re ready?” Esme stepped downstairs, looking beautiful in her fitting skirt and feathery fur blouse.

“The Feast ballet practice gets harder today, so I have to be in school in time to balance my bowels.” Mercury gave her a peer.

“Proud of you, you’re as hardworking as your mother.” Esme smiled, settling beside her.

“Tell me Shayla and Xena aren’t really gonna be at the center.” Mercury said, her fake lashes battling in the middle of the dark mascara.

“What center? Trust me it’s just a matter of time, wait till the feast.” Esme scoffed. “And how was the meal I helped you with? You didn’t tell me if it was good or not.”

“Sadie poured it away, she didn’t let Soren eat it.” Mercury explained.

“I don’t understand.” Esme gave her a quick stare.

“It was for Soren.” Mercury admitted.

“Why would you cook for Soren?” Esme frowned.

“Cos I love him, isn’t it obvious? Don’t be slow.” Mercury dropped her spoon, taking her jacket and bag from the maid.

“I’ll go first” she smiled at Esme and left the house.

Esme blinked thrice, trying to get it all together.

    This isn’t happening. At all.

“No. It’s just infatuation. She’s going to get over him.” She told herself.

Her phone hummed, and she was already smiling before picking it up, knowing it’s definitely Zeke.

Sweetheart: Mother wants dinner with you tonight. Pick the menu, and mother will pick the time.

    Esme typed a reply immediately.

    [East Palace, Back Field]

A power training has been ongoing since daybreak.

Everyone obeyed the call of Granny Tara including Zeke.

The only people who aren’t here is Azura and Granny Jojo.

Soren seems to be focused again, and that made Sadie so happy.

They’re still winning against Jude, but Jude’s energy level has increased so much that he’s nearly on par.

Jude’s nature is insanely strong, and that’s why glasses break when he holds them too tight.

Seems he has been practicing in secret, cos his improvement is shocking.

Lilith is by one side of the field, drilling a hole on the ground with her scream.

The hole is already wide, she’s currently working the depth.

“Careful with the ground, it might just swallow you.” Pearl walked past.

“Now stop talking like you know so much about grounds.” Lilith replied.

“Of course I know nothing about grounds, you’re closer to it than me.” Pearl replied scornfully, and Lilith gritted her teeth, unable to do anything since she’s at the base of the hierarchy chain here anyways.

“I should be killing you for putting your mark on me, but nah… you’re still somehow useful for the family, so I’ll let you go. Newsflash for you, I’m getting married to him secretly tomorrow.” Pearl said.

    Lilith’s eyes widened “What!”

“Yeah, feel free to wail about it. Y’all don’t know what I am,, but I’m a patient person. I’ll patiently wait for y’all to figure out my big role.” Pearl grinned, but her grin wasn’t permanent.

It wiped off in a whim, and she gave Lilith a heavy strike. Lilith rolled into the pit she had dug.

Granny Tara bursted into a impressed laughter up the field.

She’s standing there with Zeke who’s also grinning.

“This is the great child your wife nearly killed?” Tara scoffed.

Pearl was laughing beside the pit too, resting her palms on her knees.

Jude suddenly knocked off the twins, they both landed with a loud thud to the dry field.

    Sadie’s ankle sprained.

That’s the first time Jude actually brought them down.

    “The hell?” Zeke faced them.

“Soren has a sting on his wrist from Granny’s snake bite! The venom is slowing him down and if he slows, it affects me too!” Sadie complained.

“You got bitten by my snake? And you didn’t tell?” Tara went closer, appalled. “Kiss the snake, it’d suck the venom out of you, else you’d get drained completely.”

“I’d rather die” Soren rolled eyes and waltzed out of the field.

Sadie looked at Jude before running after Soren.

“You did well, big brother.” Pearl pat Jude, leaving with him too.

Lilith crawled out of the pit with her hands and knees.

She has so many scratches and cuts. She threw off her socks and left the field angrily too.

“Soren is now very different, madly so.” Tara said.

“Not really, he has always been a little bit empathic. I mean … He’s the same person who cried when his pet rabbit died when he was 8, but Sadie already killed that empathic side of him, dunno why it’s arising again.” Zeke sighed.

“Keep an eye on the Old Chef’s daughter, I’m telling you.” Tara insisted.

“Morning here…” Granny Jojo’s voice broke into their discussion.

Mother and son turned to see Jojo coming with Azura, side by side.

“Oh…it’s the mirror watch.” Tara said, clearly ridiculing Jojo.

“Oh…it’s the wife of the snake.” Jojo replied, using the same tone.

“I see you’re finally awake from coma.” Tara said as Jojo halted in front of her.

“And I see you’re finally awake in the brain after it slept for donkey centuries.” Jojo replied savagely.

Tara attempted to pull out her snake for a bite, but it’s unavailable, so she just kept glaring at Jojo.

    Jojo glared back.

“Is this really necessary?” Zeke faced Azura.

“Your mother can’t be the only Matriarch here, sweetheart. You want power struggle? I’m giving you just that.” Azura faced him too.

    Zeke snickered.

    [Heartless Tower]

Shayla is all ready for the ballet school, even Xena is here, ready too.

They had eaten the pancakes made by Cheyenne together, but now that it’s time to leave, she’s finding it really hard cos she hasn’t seen Ryker this morning at all.

Last she saw him was last night when they left Pink Island together and he dropped her in her bedroom to sleep.

She kept looking at the blue hallway for any sign of him when she was eating at the balcony, but he didn’t show up till she was done with Xena.

Sage said he’s in his Phoria, and whenever he’s in there, he hates being disturbed, so she really can’t see him before going to school.

There are places she still can’t enter in this tower, he still limits her accesses, and she understands…

He’s not used to her intrusion yet.

Cheyenne took her and Xena to the garage, and she looked at the direction of his Phoria again before getting in the car.

    Cheyenne drove them out.

Meanwhile, in the Phoria, Ryker sat in the middle of a fogged water which has sweet-smelling roses scattered around it.

This water is different from the one in his Groove.

This one is for subtle relaxation, he only uses the Groove when things get intense with his ice.

He wore a white bathrobe, but his chest is completely bare, and his eyes her closed as the treated fog simmered into his white skin.

He revealed his right hand after a while. Shayla’s earring sat on it. He tilted his head as he rubbed the gold with his fingers.

It fell from her ear again when they teleported last night, and he just kept it. She’s clumsy without even realizing, and it’s entertaining.

    He revealed his second hand.

On that one, he’s holding the neck of a snake—Granny Tara’s snake.

“Took you long enough to come say hi after entering this palace.” He said.

The snake stretched out it’s tongue to sting, but Ryker froze it’s neck, so it stopped moving.

He threw the serpent on a low white rock not far from the fog.

    “Idiot.” He muttered.

The visitor alert sounded by the Phoria door, and Ryker left the warm water, fog oozing out of him as he walked barefoot on the ice ground till he got to the door which opened without him touching it.

    Sage came to view.

“Your phone, it kept buzzing in the bedroom.” He offered.

“From the human world?” Ryker asked, face flat.

“No. From the West Palace, it’s about the goddess.” Sage replied.

Ryker took the phone, and the moment he opened the message, he looked up.

“Her her back… from school.” He ordered, and Sage left to do that.

[Black Swan Ballet School, Elite Practice Hall]

Music rolled in from the blinking multicolored walls, heat wafted in the room from the wild energy of ballerinas, tunes curling with their smooth moves.

The hall breathed with life, thumped with ambitions, feels like a universe on it’s own.

Xena and and Shayla are at the center

Soren isn’t far from Xena at the left, and they’re going to make some moves together.

By the left, there’s a new girl beside Shayla too.

At the near back, there’s Mercury and Sadie who look murderous, they did the dance with spite.

They both hate the sight of Soren near Xena, and at the same time, the sight of Shayla in the exact middle.

Shayla and Xena might be the center, but Shayla has more spotlight, it’s a obvious fact.

She’s making her moves too easily. She dances with her heart and mind, her body just interpretes beautifully.

And she’s wishing Ryker was here, maybe she’d do better than this? She really wants those frosty blue eyes to be watching her right now, but he’s probably still in his Phoria.

Xena and Soren’s body touched again, and their eyes met as their moves synchronized.

She clearly saw the small swell mark on his wrist as a result of the snake bite, she wondered if he’s ok.

He’s not looking at her at all. He’s too focused on his dance to care.

Esme and she rest of the teachers and co-judges are in front of the room.

They might not say it, but their eyes are full of admiration for Shayla in the center.

    Even Esme can’t deny it.

    Her flexibility is peak.

Her body is too soft that it looked like it’d break whenever she moved her legs up.

The first dance practice session ended at 10, and immediately Esme dismissed them, Pearl entered the hall, causing whisperings from the resting dancers.

    “The former blind one?”

“Don’t tell me she’d be here too”

“I’ve heard about her, she’s cunning!”

    “But she’s pretty!”

“Pearl Millions here. Let’s get along!” She waved at the ballerinas.

Sadie and Soren left like they don’t even know her.

Mercury followed, and she’s still looking shocked as she walked past Pearl.

Shayla and Xena were making their exit too when Pearl blocked them.

    “Move!” Xena glared.

“I have nothing to say to you, move out of the way.” Shayla said.

“But I have something to say to you,” Pearl chuckled, leaning closer to her ear to whisper…

“Do you know this is actually my second life? I only reincarnated this time. When I got my sight back at Mount Zhitomir, I got memories of my first life back, and guess who was my dear husband in my first life?”

    Shayla went rigid.

“Yes. It’s exactly who you’re thinking, that irresistible god.”  Pearl whispered again.

    “Goddess!” Sage entered the hall.

    “Sage?” Shayla moved.

“I am to take you back home” Sage said.

    “Huh? Why?” Shayla asked.

“It’s about your mark. Come, no time.” Sage replied.

Shayla followed immediately, Pearl’s words heavy on her mind.

When she got to the door, she looked back at Pearl, and Pearl winked cunningly at her.

    She left with Sage eventually.

Cheyenne appeared beside Xena. “I’ll be your guard then.”

“About last night, I just don’t want to leave father—”

“I’m not talking to you, Miss Xena. I’ll only guard you.” Cheyenne cut her off, and Xena nodded.

    They left the hall.

    [East Palace, Heartless Tower]

Seeing Ryker after missing him all morning should be blissful, but Shayla couldn’t even thinking about anything except Pearl’s words.

She’s inside her room, laying in her bed presently.

Sage and Ryker are inside with her, and they’re saying things about how they’re going to send her back to the past to get her mark back, but she’s just following with her head, not her mind. Her mind is somewhere else.

“You’re going to follow her into your memories? No, My Lord. I’m never allowing that. You both haven’t bonded, so you going into her memories with her will wound you and send you to sleep for years, you’ll have to go into seclusion and it’s dangerous. You might even get lost in there.” Sage said, and that snapped her out of her thoughts.

“That’s really going to happen?” She sat up.

“Yes, goddess. I believe in you, I trust you’re not weak. You can do this alone so he really can’t follow you when you both haven’t bonded.” Sage explained.

“There’ll be villains of the past, she can’t do it alone.” Ryker insisted.

“I’ll do it alone.” Shayla replied, and he faced her, eyes meeting.

“Trust me, I’ll try my best.” She assured, reaching for his robe to hold gently.

“Your best isn’t enough…give it your all, and get it.” Ryker deadpanned, sounding like a threat.

“Yes, I will.” She replied, laying back on the bed.

“You’re going back to the day your mother saw your mark. What were you doing?” He asked.

“I was bathing in the rain” she replied.

“You’ll stop yourself from entering the rain that day.” Ryker said, and she nodded.

    “Yes” she quickly corrected.

“I was four years old, and it was a week before I turned 5” Shayla said, shutting her eyes.

Ryker placed two fingers on her forehead, waiting for a second before a blue beam flashed.

Her soul followed the beam, travelling with the blue light into her memories.

                 {Shayla’s Memories}

Shayla landed back in the living room at Liza’s mansion.

The weather is already blackening outside. Clouds are already gathering, meaning it’s going to rain soon.

    The rain will soon fall.

Shayla pulled her eyes away from the open window, and her younger version ran out of the storeroom.

Her 4 year old self, wearing that faded singlet and black knickers.

She looked so eager to bath in the rain already, and she began praying for the rain to fall.

“There are marks on my back from Ma’s beatings. Maybe the rainwater can calm it down a bit.” She stood by the window, watching the clouds, impatient for the downpour.

Shayla climbed the couch with her quickly.

“You can’t bath in the rain. You shouldn’t take off your clothes.” She whispered.

Little Shayla turned around, wondering where the voice is coming from.

    She’s not seeing Shayla.

    “Who was that?” She mumbled.

“It’s me. I’m from the future. You can’t bath in the rain, else your Ma will sight your mark and cover it.” Shayla whispered again.

“Who are you?” Little Shayla replied, jumping down from the couch and looking around.

“You can’t see me, but I see you” Shayla replied, wanting to touch her, but she can’t.

“She’s a bloody lair, you should bath in the rain. Don’t you love it?” Another voice popped out.

Shayla was utterly shocked to see Rumi entering the house. She recognized her with her blonde curls

    “Rumi?” She muttered in disbelief.

“Welcome to your death, demigoddess of fire.” Rumi smiled eerily.

“Who are you both? Why am I not seeing anyone?” Little Shayla turned around again on a spot, her confusion running deeper.

“You have to go bath in the rain, now!!” Rumi pushed her.

“Stop it! What exactly are you after!” Shayla got in Rumi’s way.

“I’ll still kill you, don’t rush and get out of my way!” Rumi pushed Shayla out of her way.

Shayla fell on the sofa, and Rumi faced little Shayla again.

    She tore off her knickers.

“What…why are you tearing my clothes!” Little Shayla stumbled, looking scared.

“Tear off your singlet too and enter the rain, or I kill you!” Rumi threatened.

    Little Shayla swallowed.

“Don’t!! You can’t go inside!!” Shayla yelled, picking two glass cups from the table.

She threw them at Rumi, but Rumi easily waved them away.

Little Shayla is already taking off her singlet by now, and that was when Shayla got it.

Rumi put her under a spell.

“No!!” Shayla rushed forward, but Rumi dragged her back, falling on the sofa with her.

Shayla picked one of the broken pieces of the cup, shoving it into Rumi’s eyes.

    Crap. It didn’t even enter.

“We’re inside your memory, Shayla. You’re the only one who can get brutally hurt you fool!” Rumi laughed, flipping her away.

Shayla rolled off, and before she could stand, Rumi already kicked her in the face, slapping her three times one after the other.

Shayla’s lips bled, but still…she stood.

By now, little Shayla is already stepping outside, about to enter the rain.

“Mini me!!” Shayla yelled, flipping the door open to go out.

Rumi pulled her back again, slamming her head on the wall.

Shayla bled all-over the face, tasing it in her mouth too.

Her eyes burned with tears, and she slumped on the floor where Rumi held her down at.

“Mini me… please…” She struggled against Rumi’s unyielding hold as she watched little Shayla entering the rain. At the same time, Liza appeared.

“Where’s that rape product?” She muttered, opening the door to step outside too.

Shayla’s eyes widened on the floor, going beyond their limits.

Rumi’s smile widened, but just as Liza’s hand touched the door to open, she remembered what she’s cooking in the kitchen.

“My porridge!” She gasped, rushing back inside.

At the same time, the rain pouring outside got replaced by a ice shower.

Big ice chunks fell from the sky, sounding heavily on the roof.

“What’s going on?” Rumi muttered confusedly.

Little Shayla rushed back inside, and that small body merged with Shayla’s grown body.

The wounds on her face closed up, and the blood wiped off on it’s own. Her body felt the blazing change.

It was so high that she collapsed, but before she could fall, another presence entered the memory.

    Ryker’s.

Her body fell into his right arm, and his deep blue eyes glared up at Rumi who’s already walking backwards.

“Bastard!” Rumi cursed, opening the door to escape, but…

Shayla’s gold-rimmed eyes opened at that same moment, her aura infusing with the air.

    So hot. Mad hot.

    Her hand went up angrily.

The burning millennial fire erupted, catching Rumi by the door.

    SAME NIGHT≈ LAWRENCEVILLE HOSPITALS**

Rosario stopped the black car in front of the big building and came out, looking tensed as he walked into the hospital.

He ignored the greetings from the nurses and interns till she got to Lawrence’s office.

He went in straight, and he met him f+king a nurse, bent her over the table in a do+gy style.

Lawrence quickly pulled out his d+k and pulled up his p+nt$, then he sent the nurse out.

“Who was the last person to get devil’s tears?” He asked straight.

“It was Hellcat, she got it just yesterday” Lawrence replied as straight as he had asked.

Rosario sighed, remembering when she hugged him and touched his d+k earlier.

“The ointment for the swell” he said.

“Sp+rm” Lawrence replied, and Rosario grimaced.

“Yes, sp+rm can make the ugly swell disappear” Lawrence said again.

“Get me a bottle of acid, a liquid for burns, more painkillers, and eye pads” Rosario said.

Lawrence got his telephone and made a call.

In another one minute, a nurse came in with a nylon containing everything which Rosario took.

“Terrius told me everything that happened boss, but….I thought you kind of have a thing for her, wasn’t that why you brought her from Russia?, Why are you trying so hard to prove it to your twin that you don’t feel a thing for her when you actually do?, It’s obvious to me… and I heard she saved you from the wash essence, and she’s a proof that you’re a man…she makes you hard boss… I’m sorry to say this, and you can actually decide to kill me, but you cowered…a lot” Lawrence said, all at once.

“You’re not the bold boss I once knew, you changed…my Lord” he said again, and Rosario gave him a long indecipherable stare before walking out of the office.

As he made his way out, he felt his eyes reddening when he started remembering everything, from the start.

The first time he set his eyes on her in the church, her innocence and beauty captured his attention first, then the angelic aura surrounding her.

Her smile, her naivety, her voice, her eyes, lips…body…when she gave him pats, the hug, and the kiss that almost happened.

When Romanio was doing things to her earlier, how he turned his back on her and just smoked instead of rescuing her.

His ears reddened too, and his heart started hurting immediately.

He was still walking slowly when he started having the weird feeling that someone is following him.

He stopped and decided not to look back, but he got his phone and turned the camera backwards in his hand, then he resumed his walk.

He stylishly tapped his bud, connecting to the lab.

“Who’s the shadow?” He asked silently.

“A man in black, he has a black cap and mask on” Pierce replied.

“Try to figure out his face under the mask”

“No chance, it’s well covered” Pierce replied.

Rosario kept walking till he got to his car, but immediately he entered, he sensed something is not right.

He stayed still, then he started turning his neck to the base of the drawer, there he saw something beeping red.

He didn’t wait for another second before rushing down from the car, and immediately he came out, the car blew up, throwing him far from it.

Numerous people ran out of the hospital immediately, including Lawrence.

“Boss are you ok?, Boss!” He called as Rosario stood.

The car was already burning viciously.

“Get him!” Rosario said when he sighted the man in black.

He was slipping into a corner.

Together with Lawrenceville, he ran into the corner, and they both split immediately, hoping to catch him in the middle once he’s trapped, but he was nowhere to be found when they got there.

“Who the f+k was that” Lawrence said, and Rosario suddenly saw a piece of paper on the ground.

He picked it and saw a note written in blood.

*THIS IS JUST THE PREAMBLE, LET GO OF MADONNA BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE, OR SHOULD I SAY MARY CASTILLO?*

    His eyes widened.

“Lucifer?, How the f+k did he know her two names?, even her surname” Lawrence said, and Rosario gave a hardened look.

    FALCONS EMPIRE**

Clyde came out of the frost cell with red eyes, and he met Rapunzel waiting already.

“It’s risky to go in yunno” she said, and he only glared.

“I’m in no mood for talks, just avoid me please” he replied crankily and walked away.

Rapunzel looked at the cell gate and sighed sadly.

Clyde got to the base of the tree and met a mobster who’s just coming down from the tree, he has an apple in his mouth.

Despite the fact that it’s dark already, the bright lights shone on his face, and he saw her clearly.

“What are you doing here?” He said, hoping he’ll behave rude so he’ll get to punch him.

He’s really in need of someone to release anger on right now.

“Clyde!” The guy said cheerfully, hugging him immediately.

Clyde was about to stab him when he talked.

    “You don’t remember Bonnie anymore?”

His eyes widened, and he quickly broke the hug.

He’s his childhood friend at the orphanage he grew up at.

“Bonnie…it’s really..you” he said, still in surprise.

“Of course!, You disappeared from the orphanage immediately Preet was kidnapped, you couldn’t even say bye, but it’s more surprising that you didn’t change a bit” Bonnie replied, and Clyde hugged him again.

“I can’t believe this, you’re in the mob?”

“Of course!, And I’ve always wanted to meet you, but I was scared, you’re a top member, it took a lot of courage to hug you just now” Bonnie smiled, eating from his apple.

“Thanks for recognizing me” Clyde replied.

“I still don’t know why Enzo took Preet away back then, but I heard her dad had connections with hin” Bonnie said, and Clyde’s eyes widened.

“Enzo led the gunmen who killed her parents?”

“Of course, it was Enzo who took your Preet away, and you know he has a daughter who bears Preet too, heard they’re identical, they have the same face but no one has ever seen their faces as at now, isn’t it weird?, But people do think there’s just one Preet” Bonnie replied.

“The only thing that can make me recognize my Preet is the dark mark on her neck, she’d have grown so much” Clyde said.

“So you didn’t notice she had a pure white mark on the nail of her right thumb?” Bonnie replied, and Clyde looked at him.

    “Really?”

“You were in love with her and you didn’t notice that?, How daft” Bonnie replied, smiling as he ate from the apple again.

    VIRUS’S’S APARTMENT**

Rosario was holding the bottle of acid as he walked to the door, but he stopped when he heard voices from inside.

“So…you’re saying…you saw me giving Mary the phone” Virus said, giggling sillily.

“Yeah, what do you have to say” Hellcat replied.

Rosario folded his palms tightly on the acid bottle.

“Nightingale saw how you poured devil’s tears on her face too, why don’t we just take the secrets to our graves?, I keep yours and you keep mine” Virus replied.

“I’m still safe as Rosario’s childhood friend, but think of what’ll happen to you once I spit your secret out” Hellcat replied.

Virus didn’t say a word afterwards, so Hellcat smiled and made her way to the door.

Immediately she opened the door and saw Rosario, her eyes widened in shock.

    “Ros…

She wasn’t chanced to finish, cos he poured the acid with him on her face immediately.

Virus fell on her b+t in horror as Hellcat’s face started burning up fast.

    “My face!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

“F+k childhood, just die” Rosario muttered ragingly.

“We’re not allowed to make calls to our family or friends outside this empire, our bosses believe family means weakness, but I really wanna talk to my junior brother, he’s suffering out there alone” Virus cried again.

“That’s not so good, what do we do?” Mary asked worriedly.

“No matter how smart I try to play, the computer lab will be able to trace my voice if I make a call, cos it’s registered, but they won’t be able to trace yours since you’re not a member, why don’t you make the call instead?” Virus replied.

    “Huh?”

“Yes, I have the secret phone with me, you just have to call and ask how he’s doing, then you’ll tell me about it ok?, Please” Virus held her hand.

“Ok, where’s the phone?” Mary asked, and Virus quickly handed her the phone.

“Here, go into your apartment to make the call, make sure you pull down the curtains ok?” She said.

“Sure” Mary replied and went in.

She pulled down the curtains after looking around, then she gently dialled the only number on the phone.

It had barely started ringing when it was picked

    “Hello…

“Big sis!!” A young voice shouted.

“Shhh, I’m from Virus, not Virus herself, how are you doing?, I have to report to her”

“I’m not fine, I badly want to see her and…

The call ended abruptly, and when she dialled the number again, it’s not reachable.

She left the apartment and met Virus waiting outside.

“Did you talk to him?, What did he say!” She quickly asked.

“She wants to see you, but the call ended abruptly” Mary replied.

“Then can you keep the phone?, He’ll still call back I know it” Virus replied.

    “Oh… really?, I’ll do that”

“Thanks so much!, Make sure to tell me when he calls, and keep the phone well” Virus hugged, smirking darkly on her shoulder.

“Of course” Mary smiled innocently as they broke the hug.

    “Secret” Virus whispered.

“Shh” Mary replied, and Virus smiled as Mary walked away.

Immediately she left, Virus’s smile changed from cheerful to evil, and a smirk followed.

“Trapped” she said and smiled again before walking away.

Hellcat came out from beside the apartment and sighed, watching Virus till she went outta sight.

    AN UNDERGROUND CLUBHOUSE**

“I wonder why we came here in broad daylight” Rosario said, rolling eyes as she entered the clubhouse with Roma.

“There’s nothing like day here, it’s always dark, night!!!” Romanio grinned.

He was right, cos despite the fact that It’s still morning, the clubhouse is darker than coal, except for the dimming lights filtered around.

“Why exactly are we here?” Rosario asked, falling on a couch.

“To catch some fun” Romanio replied, and Rosario shook his head as a naked b*tch sat on Romanio’s laps.

Romanio started fingering her, right in front of Rosario, and Rosario had to get his phone.

“Let’s get a room!” The girl gasped as Romanio shoved in his fingers again.

    “F*+*k!” She screamed.

Rosario managed to look up, and he saw different shapes and types of strippers on stage, but none of them is capable of doing what Mary does to him.

He imagined Mary as one of the strippers, stripping for only him, caressing his d*ck with her tender palms, and he smiled with the corner of his lips.

His imagination grew larger, and he imagined her mouth on his c*+*k, his d*+*k inside her, her ride yesterday….her succulent b*+*bs, her dimples! her red lips!

The thought of Mary made him relax on the couch, it filled his head completely that he couldn’t think of anything else.

His bulge grew, but he kept himself in check.

    Is he missing her?

“No f+cking way” he said out.

    “What?” Romanio asked.

“Nothing” he replied, and Romanio sent his b+tch away before facing him.

“Mission Gum is drawing near, but the bridge is weak” he said.

“Life without risks is risky, but I don’t even wanna talk about the mission yet” Rosario replied.

“So tell me, how was your first s+x with that b+tch?” Romanio smirked.

“She’s not a b+tch” Rosario replied, and Romanio rested back on his chair, getting a smoke.

“Your s+x doll is not a b+tch?, Then what is she?”

Rosario was about to talk when the bald lady appeared.

    Sakura.

She’s not a falcon though, but she works with them seldomly.

“Big bosses!, It’s good to see you both again” she smiled, taking her seat in front of them.

“You didn’t tell me it’s today” Rosario said.

“Life’s full of surprises” Romanio winked, and Rosario glared as Sakura dropped a brown envelope on the table.

“I don’t know if It’ll go a long way, but I did a lot before I found this info” she said.

Romanio got his phone and did a transfer to her.

Immediately she saw the alert, she smiled.

“You’re the best bosses, and there’s a deal tommorow, Bolivian marching powder” she said as she stood.

“Call the appropriate number” Rosario replied, picking the envelope as Sakura left.

Romanio’s phone rang immediately, it’s Hellcat.

“The spy has been caught!” She announced, and he stood.

    “Cool” he smiled.

“And he’s saying he has an accomplice in the mob” Hellcat added.

    FALCONS EMPIRE**

Mary has been lonely since daybreak, and she’s hoping it’ll get better towards midday but it seems that’s even impossible.

She hasn’t sighted Clyde all day.

She suddenly saw a guy getting dragged into the vaults, and she paused to watch.

“He’s a spy who got caught” Clyde’s voice said behind her, and she turned back swiftly to see him smiling.

“Clyde!, Where have you been!” She pouted.

“Do you know how cute you look right now?” He giggled, holding her cheeks before he knew it.

“Cute like a pumpkin?” She replied, and Clyde’s eyes widened.

    Exactly what Preet would say.

    “What?” She asked.

“Nothing, Terrius had me trapped in my room, thats why I haven’t been able to come out” he replied.

“Oh.. but what are they gonna do to that spy?” Mary asked curiously.

“He has an accomplice in the mob, after they find the accomplice, they’ll kill them both” Clyde replied.

Rapunzel came rushing, taking Clyde by the arm.

“Let’s go watch the spy’s fate!” She said, taking him away.

“Madonna you should come too” she said, and she happily followed them to the vaults.

Pandora was walking into the vaults alone when Terrius passed by her, and like he promised…he ignored her till he went in.

She stopped for a while, twisting expressions before entering too.

Every top member were already present, Mary was standing between Clyde and Rapunzel.

The spy was made to kneel in the middle of the room, and the two bosses came in.

Mary smiled, settling her eyes on Rosario.

She bit her lip as she stared in admiration, and she could feel herself getting wet instantly.

Romanio gave the spy a brutal punch which sent him to the ground, but Rosario pulled him up by the hair and squatted in front of him.

    His nose was already bleeding.

“You have an accomplice here?, Fish the motherf+cker out first before anything” he glared dangerously.

“She’s .. she’s in this room” the guy said fearfully, unable to look Rosario in the eye.

    “She?, Who?”

Virus smiled, and Hellcat looked at Mary expressionlessly.

“There’s a phone in my pocket, her line is..is in… there” the spy stuttered.

Rosario dipped his hand into the guy’s jean pocket and brought out the phone.

There’s only one number on it, it’s not even saved.

He dialled it, and the phone rang in Mary’s gown pocket.

All eyes turned to her, and her eyes widened as she brought the phone out of her pocket.

    “Madonna” Clyde whispered unbelievably.

The phone kept ringing on her hand, and she started shaking …

    “This is….I don’t…I…

“There she is” the spy said, pointing at her.

Rosario looked her way, and his eyes moved from feet to her face.

When their eyes finally met, she saw death staring at her., Death!

    “My Lord….I…I…

No one knew when Romanio got to her, cos before she could finish, Romanio slapped her thunderously, and she fell on the floor heavily with bleeding mouth.

    “I’m innocent!!!” She cried out.
