Shawn drove into a new, complete building with Sofia and her family. They came down, wondering why they were there. Sofia’s brow furrowed in confusion.

“Shawn, why are we here?” Sofia asked, her voice laced with curiosity, along with her family.

Shawn’s expression turned mysterious. “Let’s go inside first.”

They went inside, and Diana’s eyes widened in awe. “Wow, this place is beautiful.”

The whole place was well-furnished with expensive interior design. Sofia’s curiosity got the better of her. “Is this your new home?” she asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

Shawn smiled, his eyes shining with excitement, and moved closer to Lucas. He handed over the house keys and some documents. “This is now your new home.”

The family’s eyes widened in shock, their faces frozen in surprise. Grandma’s jaw dropped.

“What?” Grandma grasped, her voice trembling.

Shawn’s smile broadened. “Yeah, do you like it?” he asked, his eyes scanning their faces.

The family was speechless, their faces still frozen in shock.

“Can you guys say something now, if you don’t like it…” Shawn started to say, but got interrupted.

Sofia’s face crumpled, and she hugged him tightly, sobbing. “Thank you,” she sniffed.

Shawn’s face lit up with a warm smile as he held her close. Lucas’s eyes welled up with tears.

“Thank you so much,” Lucas said, his voice tearful.

Diana’s face turned emotional, her eyes shining with tears. “We don’t deserve this.”

Grandma’s face turned thoughtful, her eyes filled with gratitude. “Why are you so nice to us after everything?”

Shawn’s expression turned tender. “Because I love your granddaughter.” He pulled away from her, caressing her face. “She means everything to me, and I will do anything to make her happy.” Sofia’s eyes shone with tears as she smiled at Shawn.

“Thank you so much, I don’t even know how to thank you enough for everything,” Lucas said, his voice filled with gratitude.

Shawn’s expression turned humble. “You don’t need to thank me. I should be thanking you for giving birth to your lovely daughter.” He smiled, his eyes filled with adoration. “I don’t know what I would have become without her in my life. I don’t need anything; all I need is her.”

The family’s faces softened, and Lucas nodded. “You have my blessing.”

Diana and Grandma chimed in, “Us too.”

Shawn’s face lit up with a warm smile. “Thank you.” He pulled Sofia into a warm hug, and the family smiled, hugging each other tightly.

An hour later, they settled in, and Diana prepared a mouth-watering meal with the help of Sofia to celebrate the new house. They all sat down in the living room, eating and smiling, when Troy, Mabel, Jeff, and Nina entered, smiling. Jeff was holding a bottle of champagne.

“I’m glad we made it in time,” Jeff said, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

Sofia stood up, a warm smile on her face, and rushed to hug Mabel and Nina. “Come on, you guys are right on time,” Lucas said, smiling.

Jeff and Troy moved to join them at the dining table. “This is for you,” Jeff said, handing over the champagne to Lucas.

Lucas’s face lit up with a warm smile. “Thank you.”

The ladies continued chatting secretly to each other while their men watched them with amusement.

“This place is so beautiful,” Nina said, her eyes wide with wonder.

“Hmm, you got the perfect man ever!” Mabel said, and they chuckled.

“I couldn’t ask for anything,” Sofia said, a satisfied smile on her face. “Do you know it has the largest pool ever, so I was thinking we could have a pool party,” she suggested.

Nina’s eyes sparkled with excitement. “That will be better.”

Mabel nodded in agreement. They continued chatting quietly, and their men kept gazing at them, including Sofia’s family.

“Are you sure they are aware we are having a meal down here?” Jeff asked, raising an eyebrow.

“What are they whispering about?” Shawn asked curiously, his eyes fixed on Sofia.

“They totally forgot we are here,” Troy said, chuckling, and they sighed, staring at the ladies.

“The food will get cold if we continue to wait for them,” Diana said, smiling.

Nina teased, “Do you have a room here, or Shawn didn’t allow that?” Sofia blushed, her face turning pink.

Just then, their men made a fake, loud clearing of their throats, and the ladies turned to them.

“We are still up here,” Troy said, grinning.

Nina’s face turned sheepish. “Um, oh, we totally forgot about that.”

The ladies left their huddle and returned to the dining table, seating themselves with their men. They started eating, and the dining table was filled with laughter and cheerfulness.

Sofia and Mabel returned back to school after six of them went to a three-day vacation in Miami. It was fun and a day to remember when Jeff finally proposed to Nina, and it was a great day for everyone as they celebrated and merry.

Sofia and Mabel were both seated in the hall, waiting for the professor to come teach. Mabel’s face lit up with a smile. “Is so good to be back.”

Sofia nodded in agreement, a hint of a smile on her face. “Yeah, two more years to go, so I can finally get a break from reading.”

Mabel chuckled. “Me too, I wish the vacation to Miami never ends.”

“Me too, it was fun, and most of all, I am so happy for Nina and Jeff. They are finally taking their relationship to the next level.” She said excitedly.

Mabel’s face turned dreamy. “Yeah, I want mine to be like that.”

Sofia smiled.”I can’t wait to be on my bridesmaid’s dress.”

They both chuckled, and then the professor entered. Everyone became calm and paid attention to him.

“Good day, everyone, hope we had fun on our holiday,” he asked, scanning the room with a warm smile.

The students nodded with a smile. “That’s good to know. I have an announcement to make: we are going for three days of camping this weekend, so prepare yourself.”

Sofia and Mabel’s eyes widened in surprise, their faces mirroring each other’s shock. “Camping? For three days?” they exclaimed in unison.

The professor smiled. “Have a nice day.” He walked away, and the place became rowdy as the students chatted about the camp.

    ★SHAWN’S MANSION★

Shawn’s face turned stern as Sofia broke the news to him over dinner. Troy was absent.

“Camping? For three days!” Shawn exclaimed, his voice laced with disapproval.

“Yes, we are going this weekend.”

His face turned unyielding. “You are not going, Sofia.”

Sofia’s eyes widened in surprise. “Not going? Why?”

“Three days is too long. You can’t go camping. I will be lonely.”His  jaw clenched.

Sofia chuckled. “Is just three days, you are sounding like it’s a year.”

“It’s like a year to me, staying a minute without you is torture, not three days!”

“I will be back before you know it.”She sighed tiredly at him.

“You can be going from home to the camp.”

She raised an eyebrow. “Who goes to camp from home every day? What’s the fun in it?”

“Three days is what I can’t take.” He turned stubborn.

Her face turned nonchalant. “You will have to.”

Shawn sighed tiredly, his face a picture of resignation.

    ~ Dominic ~

    Guess what?

I’ve been blatantly lied to my entire life by the one person I trusted not to vanish after the tràgic démise of my beloved parents.

It was him all along, and I remained oblivious. He played the part because he found me foólish and gullible, perhaps. I nearly took the life of an innocent man—the father of the woman I love.

    God!

How could I have been so stúpid, so foólish, so iñsane all these years, believing it was Kyle Walker who snatched my parents away from me?

Why did I even concoct that notion? I can’t seem to recall right now. The only name echoing in my mind is Ivan Morozov.

He erréd in taking my parents from me far too early in life. But his gravest mistake was training me to become the man I am today—the man who will relish the moment when the light dims from his eyes as the cold hands of deàth tightly embrace him.

Ivan Morozov clearly underestimates me, even after all my progress in the underworld of crime. He has no idea what I am capable of, especially not after carrying this mission in my head for over a decade.

No, seriously, it’s been twenty years since that fateful day—the day I watched bulléts tear through my parents’ bodies, blóod gushing like a crimson river. If I don’t give Ivan Morozov the same harrowing experience, then I am not Dominic Morozov, the son of Dennis Morozov.

I will kíll him, but first… I need to apologize to my girlfriend for yelling at her when she was simply concerned about me.

Do I deserve that after plotting to kíll her father? No, of course not.

I don’t, and it eats away at me just thinking about it. It torménts me to know that my actions have caused her paín.

She’s ignoring my calls and texts, and I feel sick about it, even though I initiated the conflict.

I needed help, but unfortunately, the one person who is tolerable wasn’t reachable. That left me with the only option—someone utterly intolerable.

“What do you want?” Adrianna’s voice cut through the line, sharp and immediate.

“Wow, hello to you too,” I said, forcing a grin she knows all too well to be fake. “How are you? It’s so nice of you to ask first.”

“Hahaha, look at you being funny. I don’t like that.”

“I’m not surprised. You don’t like many things.”

I could practically see her rolling her eyes in exasperation before she asked, firmer and meaner this time, “What do you want, Dominic?”

“Genevieve is upset with me and isn’t speaking to me,” I tried to explain, but she cut me off rudely.

“Oh, I am so, so surprised.” Her sarcasm was like a sharp needle, pricking my already fragile state. “What did you do?”

“Why did you just assume I’m at fault?”

“Because if Vie was in the wrong, she’d apologize. And you wouldn’t be calling.” She replied, her tone dripping with disdain. “Oh, and you’re a díck.”

    Right.

How could I ever forget that she tells me that every time we see each other?

I exhaled slowly, holding back the annoyance that threatened to bubble over. “Can you help me?”

“It depends.” Adrianna retorted. “What did you do?”

I knew I couldn’t tell her the truth—she wouldn’t help me if I did. So, I cleared my throat, searching for a lie.

“Dominic, don’t conjure up a lie because you know I won’t fall for your lame excuses.” She added, her voice harsh and piercing. “You know what? I don’t care; just tell me what you need.”

A relieved smile graced my face at her willingness. “Great, thanks. Tell Genevieve to meet you somewhere, and I’ll be there instead of you.”

    “Where?”

    “I’ll text you.”

Adrianna groaned, then feigned cheer. “Yay.” The falseness of it was blindingly obvious. “Remember what I told you, Dominic?”

    I can’t forget.

Almost two years ago, Adrianna Carrington looked me straight in the eyes and said, “If you break my sister’s heart, I will come for you.”

If she weren’t my Vixen’s sister, I would have put a bullét in her head right there. I don’t do well with threàts; I prefer to be the one giving them, not receiving. But I didn’t pull the trígger because I’m not ready to dié just yet.

And yes, I am scared of my girlfriend. You better believe it.

So, I reserved an entire restaurant for Genevieve and me to meet. The atmosphere was carefully crafted—soft, ambient lighting casting a warm glow over the elegantly set tables, the air filled with the rich aroma of gourmet dishes simmering in the kitchen. I could already envision the evening unfolding, hoping it would mend the rift between us.

Adrianna texted me that Genevieve was ten minutes away. I sat at a secluded table, the plush fabric of the chair cradling me, but I felt anything but comfortable. Each tick of the clock echoed in my ears, amplifying my anxiety as I waited.

Then, precisely ten minutes later, she walked in, exuding an aura that demanded attention. Genevieve entered like she owned the place, her dazzling blue eyes scanning the room before locking onto mine. The moment our gazes met, she rolled her eyes, a gesture that sent a pang of regret through me.

I expelled a shaky breath, shoving my worries into the darkest corners of my mind for the moment. Right now, I needed to focus on the one thing that seemed to be slipping through my fingers—the woman standing before me, radiating a mix of angér and defiance.

I moved toward her, my heart racing with each step. Thankfully, she didn’t back away, though the spark of rebellion in her eyes suggested she wanted to. I reached her, offering my best attempt at a smile, desperate to convey sincerity.

    “What are…”

“Can we sit first?” I interrupted, my voice calmer than the storm brewing inside me. She frowned, crossing her arms tightly over her chest, a barrier between us. “Please?”

“I don’t want to sit. What are you doing?” Her gaze darted around the room, taking in the tasteful decorations and the soft music that played in the background, a stark contrast to the tension that hung between us. “What is this?”

“An apology,” I replied, the words tasting bitter on my tongue.

“For?” Genevieve asked, her tone laced with annoyance yet oddly calm. “Which part exactly are you sorry for?”

She was looking at me, expecting an answer, her gaze serious and piercing. Her head tilted slightly, waiting for my response, but I couldn’t bring myself to answer.

I knew her too well; this was a rhetorical question.

“Is it the part where you snapped at me at the Base? Or the other part where you ignored me for three days? Or the part where you said you don’t want this relationship anymore?” Her tone was sharp, cutting through the tension in the air like a kñife. “Huh? Which one?”

I could sense the weight of her unvoiced thoughts, the things she held back that could shatter us both. But how could I make her understand that it was too late for such reflections?

I was already a broken man. My uncle—my father’s brother—was the one responsible for my parents’ deàths, and I held the evidence in my hands. Soon, I would drag her down with me, if I hadn’t already.

“Everything. I am apologizing for everything. I shouldn’t have lashed out at you, and for that, I am truly sorry.”

“Sorry?” Now her anger flared like a wildfire. “If I said, ‘I hàte you and I wish you had never come into my life,’ and then told you sorry, would you accept that?”

I was left speechless, utterly taken aback. Out of everything I had anticipated her to say, that was the least expected.

“Dominic, you said you don’t want this anymore, and you think sorry can fix it?”

“What can I do then?” My voice came out strained, a plea wrapped in desperation.

“Tell me what is bothering you.” Her eyes were fierce, demanding the truth.

    “I can’t.”

“You can’t, or you don’t want to?”

    Both!

I couldn’t tell her that my only family that she knows was linked to the very man who had takén my parents from me. Infact, he is the very reason. She may have been polite with him, but deep down, her heart and soul rejected him.

Yes, she maintained a friendly façade, but that was all it was.

I also feared revealing the truth because one revelation would lead to another, and she would discover that her father was my target. She would never forgive me for that.

    She would hàte me.

    “Genevieve, please, let’s sit.”

She stepped back, her frustration palpable. “I said I don’t want to sit.” I blinked, surprised. “What is so difficult for you to tell me? Don’t you trust me?”

    “It’s not that.”

“Then what is?” When I remained silent, she snapped, “Dominic.”

“Baby, please, let’s just sit and have dinner.” My voice was laced with desperation.

“No. I don’t want to sit, and I don’t want to have dinner with someone who hides things from me and doesn’t trust me.” Genevieve’s expression was resolute, her displeasure evident.

“I trust you.” I exhaled, a wave of exhaustion washing over me. “Of course, I trust you. I just… you know what, why don’t I tell you later?”

“Later?” I nodded, hoping my resolve would hold. “So, you will tell me?”

    “Yeah.”

    “Promise?”

Knowing I was lying, I nodded again. “Promise.” The deceit felt like a dagger to my heart. “Now, dinner?”

Genevieve studied me, her gaze lingering as if she were attempting to decipher my unspoken fears. Her eyes brimmed with questions—questions I knew I couldn’t answer.

“Please, Vixen. I am sorry. Won’t you forgive me?”

“Fine.” Her response was simple but heavy with unspoken weight.

    “Fine?”

She shrugged, the gesture almost dismissive. “Yeah.” Then she sighed, a sound full of worry. “You know, I was really scared when you said that. I… I thought… I thought that…”

I cupped her face in my hands, my voice dropping to a soothing whisper, a desperate attempt to convince both of us that everything would be alright. “I really love you, like a lot a lot, so whatever you are thinking isn’t going to happen. We are stuck together, aren’t we?”

“Yeah.” Her reply was small, uncertain. “And I love you too.”

    ~ Dominic ~

        ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★

It’s been weeks since Shawn left with Cindy, and Sofia hadn’t been herself. She barely ate or talked to anyone, locking herself in Shawn’s room and refusing to go to school or see anyone. All she did was cry every day, yearning for Shawn’s return.

Before Shawn left with Cindy, he asked Troy to take Sofia and her family to his mansion to live there. Troy did as he was instructed.

Everyone tried to bring Sofia out of her sadness, but all was in vain. Nina and Mabel came to the house to see her, moving to her doorstep and knocking, along with her mother, Grandma, and Troy.

“Sofia, can you open up? Your friends are here to see you,” Troy said, but there was no response.

“Sofia, dear, please open up, please!” Diana said, and they sighed tiredly after making an attempt for her to open up.

“What do we do now?” Mabel said sadly.

“I’m scared she’ll hurt herself,” Grandma said.

    “Me too,” Diana said.

They sighed tiredly and moved to the living room, thinking of what to do next.

“When will Shawn come back?” Nina asked, talking to Troy.

“No one knows for now,” he said. “He knew this was going to happen, that’s why he prepared everything.”

Troy had a flashback to the incident day when Shawn was heading to the direction. He called Troy.

“Troy, I need you to do something for me,” Shawn said on the phone, and Troy’s voice came from the other end.

    “What’s it, man?” he said.

“Things are about to change. Cindy has Sofia and her family, and this time it’s going to be dangerous. I want you to listen to me. If things don’t turn out as planned, take Sofia and her family to the house. Let them live there from now on,” Shawn said.

“What are you saying, Shawn? Are you going to die?” Troy panicked from the other end of the phone.

“No, Cindy is more dangerous than you can imagine. If I don’t do what she wants, she will kill Sofia and her family, and that is the last thing I don’t want her to do….I am driving to the direction now. I will connect my phone to my air pod. Wait for my signal. You will come over and get Sofia and her family,” Shawn said, his voice firm and determined.

“I seriously don’t understand what you are saying, Shawn. I am getting scared,” Troy said, his voice laced with worry.

“I am doing this to protect the woman I love and her family. Take her and her family to the house and make sure they are comfortable,” Shawn said, his eyes filled with sadness.

“What about Sofia? Do you think she will live without you?” Troy asked, his expression concerned.

“I am doing this for her. I don’t know how long I will be away from her. You just have to take care of everything for me,” Shawn said sadly.

“Ok, if that is what you want, but please, try and come back on time for her. I don’t know how long she will hold on to the pain of losing you,” Troy said.

“I can’t give that promise, Troy,” Shawn’s voice cracked. “It hurts me, and the last thing I wanna do is to see her cry. Please, just do this for me,” Shawn said, his eyes filled with tears.

    Flashback ended.

“He knew things were going to turn out this way?” Mabel asked, surprised, along with everyone.

“Yeah, if he hadn’t accepted her demand, she would have hurt you guys,” Troy said, referring to Sofia’s family.

“I can’t believe he will sacrifice himself for us after the terrible thing our family did to his family,” Diana said sadly.

“He loves Sofia so much that he will do anything to protect her,” Troy said, and they sighed.

“Sofia?” Nina called, seeing her upstairs, her face swollen from tears. Everyone turned to her and rushed to her quickly.

Sofia fell on the floor, sobbing uncontrollably. They consoled her as the ladies pulled her into a warm hug.

“Please stop crying. It’s going to be fine,” Diana said, her expression soft and comforting.

“Shawn will return to you. You just have to give him time. He will definitely come back,” Troy said, his eyes filled with reassurance.

Some minutes later, everyone was seated in the dining table with different food prepared for Sofia. They were urging her to eat, but she refused.

“Please, my child, eat something,” Diana said, her voice laced with worry.

“If you starve yourself too much, you might get sick,” Mabel said, her expression concerned.

“Shawn won’t be happy seeing you like this, please eat something,” Troy said, trying to persuade her.

But Sofia refused, and as tears kept crawling down her cheeks.

“Please, Sofia, come back to us. Everyone in school is worried about you, including the professor. It’s been boring without you in class, please come back,” Mabel said sadly.

“Shawn will come back. He is going to sort things out for a while, and he will be back before you know it,” Nina said, trying to reassure her.

“Please, child, please,” Grandma said, and everyone kept persuading her.

“Open up,” Diana said, taking a scoop of the food closer to Sofia’s mouth. “Please, for our sake, eat something,” she said, but Sofia still refused to eat, and they sighed tiredly, not knowing what to do.

Sofia stood up to leave, took two steps, and suddenly felt dizzy. Everywhere was spinning around her, and her eyes dropped as she fell to the ground. Troy was quick enough to grab her, and everyone panicked as she lost consciousness.

Some minutes later, the doctor was examining Sofia on the bed while the rest stood behind with panicked expressions on their faces. After the doctor was done, he turned to them.

“Is she okay?” Diana asked, her voice laced with worry.

“Yes, she is suffering from malnutrition. When she wakes up, give her something to eat,” the doctor said.

“She has refused to eat. We have tried,” Mabel said.

“You just have to try harder. It might result in something worse if care is not taken,” the doctor said.

“Okay, doctor, we have heard what you said,” Troy said.

“I will take my leave now,” the doctor said and left. Troy saw him off.

The rest of them moved to Sofia, who was still unconscious on the bed.

“When will she ever be happy?” Mabel said sadly.

“When she wakes up, we just have to try harder for her to eat,” Nina said.

“She has been through a lot in her life. First, it was from us, and now her love life is affected too,” Diana said sadly.

“We just hope everything will be perfect again,” Grandma said, and they sighed.

Later in the day, Troy drove Mabel home and they stopped by the gate.

“Thank you for coming today, it was really helpful,” Troy said, smiling warmly.

“Not a problem, Sofia is not just my best friend, she is more like a sister, and I hate to see her looking dejected,” she said, her eyes filled with concern.

“Yeah, we are happy she finally ate, all thanks to you guys,” he said, grateful.

“I believe Shawn will come back for her, we just need a little bit of patience,” she said. hopefully.

His expression turned reassuring. “I believe so too,” he said, and kissed her forehead. “Good night, and say hello to everyone for me,” he said.

“I will, drive carefully,” She smiled, and came down from the car. They waved at each other. Troy saw her go inside, and then he drove off.

             Mr Sam’s Pov:

I flipped the pages of the document with my eye glasses fixed on my eyes.

Just then, the land telephone rang aloud.

    I picked it up….

Surprisingly, It was my wife Charlotte.

    Why is she calling?

I told her I was going to work overnight right?

I quickly picked up the phone.

She was in tears and that got me nervous the more.

☎️Hello Sam…. Sam…. She broke down in tears

☎️Honey what is it? Are you OK? Why are you crying?…  I asked worriedly.

    She screamed still crying.

☎️Sam our daughter…. Sam my child… She wept uncontrollably

☎️Our… Our daughter? Gracie? Where is she? What happened to her?…  I yelped as I quickly stood up.

☎️Sam am at the hospital… Our baby was rushed to the hospital, she was found half dead in a pool…. She cried

    My jaw dropped in shock.

☎️What? My daughter did what? Which hospital Charlotte?..  I asked anxiously

☎️Immaculate heart hospital… She managed to say.

☎️I’ll be right there honey just calm down.. I said as I hung up.

I quickly packed the files as I put on my suit and rushed out of the office.

    Oh God!

What could have happened to my daughter?

How did she end up in a pool?

Thought filled my mind as I drove on.

    I hope she gets alright.

    🏥 🏥

I parked my car at the hospital garage as I drove into the hospital compound.

I rushed into the hospital hurriedly.

I saw Charlotte crying and Cassandra hugging her tightly.

At first, my face countenance changed but I was worried about my daughter.

    “Sam?” Charlotte cried

“What did the doctor say about our daughter’s condition?” I asked anxiously

“The doctor said she’s in critical condition and she’s in a coma” Charlotte cried

“Damn!” I stamped my feet on the ground angrily.

“Daddy! Please calm down” Casandra said mildly

I’ve never seen her talk so calmly.

I only nodded my head as I kept walking up and down restlessly.

I hope nothing bad happens to my child.

            Mona’s Pov:

Tears streamed down my cheeks as I scratched my head.

“Who could have done that to our friend Jake?” I cried out

“I have no idea and am also very surprised… I mean Gracie won’t have gone to the pool side without a reason” Jake said

    Jake burst into tears too.

“She almost died… I mean the doctor said she is half dead right?” I wailed

“This is very strange! Who could have pushed her into the pool?” Jake wondered

“That’s still a puzzle for us…. I really feel sorry for aunt Charlotte, she looks miserable” I said

“And Cassandra who told her that Gracie is here?” Jake asked

    I shook my head.

    “I wouldn’t know” I whispered

We continued crying and praying to God

          Cassandra’s Pov:

I smiled within me as mommy hugged me tightly.

It feels so good being in her arms again

Of course that useless girl won’t survive this for sure cos a drugged handkerchief was placed on her nose and she passed out before falling into the pool.

I can’t wait to attend her funeral.

That way, mommy will have no other child but me.

I shed crocodile tears but am so happy.

Dad walked to the doctor’s office worriedly.

    Poor Mr Sam Salvador…. 😂

You will have no freaking choice than to take me in as her daughter once that Jezebel is finally gone.

“Mommy please stop crying already! Gracie will be fine” I said calmly in the sweetest voice.

“How Cassie? My only child is in there struggling for her life” She cried

I frowned my face in annoyance but I just have to act nice.

“Am your daughter too mommy and am here for you” I said as she kissed my forehead.

“Thank God you are here” She said

    My face beamed with smiles.

This is going to be my starting point!

Just then, we heard some shrieking shouts.

Oh dammit!…… I muttered under my breath.

It was my good for nothing mother and two sisters Monica and Regina.

Mom and I stood up as I held mom tight.

They can never take me to that hole they called a house.

“Hey! Cassandra move it let’s go home” Regina ordered as she dragged me by my wrist.

I quickly snatched my hand from her and burst into false tears

“Please let her go! You’re hurting her” Mom defended me.

“Oh please Charlotte! She’s my daughter and I have every right to take her” Martha said

“You got us very worried Cassandra! Is it that you don’t have a phone to let us know your well-being” Monica shouted at me.

“You should have thought of that before forcing me to hawk dried fish” I said in tears.

“Hawk what?” Mom said in shock.

“Please I just want to be by moms side” I said hugging her.

“I beg you Martha please don’t take her away” Mom pleaded

    I smiled broadly within me

Am finally gaining mom’s love the more.

The stupid people that calls themselves my family later agreed to let me stay here after much plead from mommy.

    That’s a good sign though.

                 A WEEK LATER…

Gracie was still at the hospital.

    And still unconscious as well…..

I know in me that she’s not gonna survive this not after what happened to her.

And guys… for the past one week, I’ve been living like a princess.

Mom pleaded with dad to let me stay in the mansion.

mom and I do everything together….

    We go shopping together,,,,,,,

    We eat together,,,,,,

We go to the hospital together,,,,,

    This is fun!

And Mr Sam Salvador… He has been so busy investigating.

I know they won’t ever get a clue to what happened to their dead daughter.

Yeah… To me she’s long gone.

    👠 👠

I wore my expensive white jean bum short and a pink designer singlet.

Matching perfectly with my pink flip flops and my ponytail hairstyle

    I look astonishingly beautiful.

Mom and I held hands and walked out of the mansion to the garage.

“Mommy! Where the fvck are we going?” I asked anxiously

“Well your dad called me on phone and told us to come” Mom said

    I exhaled deeply.

I guess he’s coming around finally

    I miss this… A family get together 😘

“OK mom!  I said as mom pressed the car key button and we hopped in.

I can’t wait to receive the news of that crazy girl’s death.

Mommy speeded out of the compound as I ate my cookies happily and we kept chatting

She drove into the police station.

    I stared around in confusion.

💭 What the fvck are we doing here in the police station? 💭 I thought as we walked into the station.

    We entered the other room.

Daddy was there with two police officers and there was a large television hung on the wall.

Surprisingly, Mona and Jake were there too.

“Uhmm.. We were able to get the CCTV footage for the day your daughter was found half lifeless” The officer cleared his throat.

My heart skipped as I gulped nervously.

“Err… mommy I feel really pressed and I need to use the restroom” I said in anxiety.

“Oh calm down sweetheart! We’ll be gone soon” She said as I forced a smile.

“Please play the footage” Mr Sam said

    I couldn’t breath.

    Oh Father Lord!

    Am trapped…

“Cassie? Baby are you OK?  Mom asked noticing how uneasy I look.

I forced a smile at her and nodded.

The other officer played the footage.

    The video started

    I bowed my head.

I was already figiating in fear.

    Everyone watched keenly.

And oh my gosh… It showed everything.

    How I stole Mona’s phone.

    How I texted Gracie…

How I covered her nose with a drugged handkerchief…

How I pushed her into the pool.

“CASSANDRA?” Everyone screamed as hot tears rolled down my cheeks.

    I couldn’t face them.

“Cassandra you did this?  Mona and Jake shouted

Even the police officers were gobsmacked.

Mr Sam stared at me in disbelief.

“Mommy please I can explain!” I fell on my knees.

“Don’t you dare touch me you murderer” Mom screamed at me as she kicked me.

I fell on the ground in tears.

“I trusted you, God! So you wanted my child dead all along? You wanted to kill my only child? And you kept acting so nice and innocent? Cassandra I hate so much right now” Mom yelled at me.

    Everyone spat out.

    Shame filled my face.

“You know what? You deserve to be punished” Mr Sam said as I burst into tears and held his shoe but he pushed me roughly.

“No honey! She shouldn’t just be punished” Mom said as my face brightened.

    “What?  Mona and Jake screamed

“She should rot in jail…. You are a betrayer Cassandra, you can never be my daughter ever again! I curse you! I curse the day you were carried into my mansion as my baby” Mom said.

“Please forgive me! Please mom! Please daddy” I cried but no-one paid attention to me.

“Officers take her away!” Mom said as they dragged me forcefully.

Mrs Charlotte burst into tears as she hugged her husband.

Mr Sam’s cell phone rang aloud and he answered the call.

“She woke up!  He announced as they jumped for joy.

            Gracie’s Pov:

I laid on the hospital bed weakly as I heard a shrieking scream.

The ward’s door throw open and Mona, Jake with mom and dad walked in happily.

    They hugged me excitedly.

“Baby please forgive me am so sorry for being a bad mommy” Mom said as I smiled.

    She kissed me happily.

I couldn’t believe my ears so it was actually Cassandra.

An hour later, Shawn came to the bedroom to see Sofia fast asleep. He smiled warmly, his eyes filled with amusement.

“What a stubborn lady.” He moved to her on the bed and untied her hands, making her sleep comfortably on the bed. He then covered her with the blanket before kissing her forehead.

He came out of the room, and his eyes caught sight of Troy entering the house. Troy’s face turned cheerful as he smiled.

    “Hey, bro,” Troy said.

“I thought you weren’t coming home tonight.”

His face turned nonchalant. “Why not? I just hung out with a friend of mine who came back from the state.”

“I thought you went to see Mabel.”

“Nah, but I am hanging out with her tomorrow.”His face turned smug. He smiled, and then Shawn felt a hand wrapped around him from behind. A smirk curved Troy’s lips.

Shawn’s face turned surprised, and he turned to see Sofia holding him while still sleeping. Her face was peaceful, her eyes closed.

“Sofia,” Shawn said softly, caressing her face.

She murmured, her voice barely audible. “I am hungry, Mom.”

Shawn tried not to laugh, and Troy walked closer to them, his eyes filled with amusement.

“Is she sleepwalking?” Troy asked, his voice low. “When did she arrive?” He asked.

“I brought her here.” He said smiling.

“She thinks you are her Mom, how cute.” He tease. smiled and said, “Anyway, good night, guys.”

He left for his room, and Shawn looked down at Sofia, his eyes filled with affection.

    “Am hungry,” she continued murmuring.

His face turned gentle. “You are so cute when you are like this.” He carried her in his arms and returned to the room to put her back to sleep.

    ______

The next morning, Sofia tossed around on the bed, her hand falling on Shawn, who was staring lovingly at her. Her eyes were closed, and a soft smile played on her lips.

She used her hand to touch his body, tracing it down to his cheek, and pinched it, thinking she was dreaming. Shawn’s face turned pained.

“Ouch!” Shawn said, and Sofia’s eyes snapped open. She saw Shawn in front of her, and her hand was still on his cheek. She quickly took off her hand and sat upright on the bed, her face flushing.

“I am sorry about that,” she said nervously, her eyes avoiding Shawn’s.

His face turned warm, and he smiled, pulling her closer to him. “Did you sleep well?” he asked, his voice soft.

He kissed her shoulder, working his way up to her cheek. She turned her face to him, and their faces were inches apart. Shawn’s eyes locked onto hers, and he smiled, staring down at her lips. She gulped hard, her heart racing.

“Can I get a morning kiss?” he asked softly, his eyes pleading. She turned her face away, and Shawn’s expression turned concerned. “Are you still angry with me?” he asked, his arms around her warmly. “What do I do to make it up to you?”.

“Nothing Shawn, I wanna go home, I have class today.” Her face turned away, her eyes avoiding Shawn’s.

His face turned concerned, his eyes narrowing. He sighed and cut her chin, bringing her face to look at him. “This is your home too, remember? Your clothes are still here. I can drop you off, and after school hour, we can go and see a movie together,” he said, smiling warmly.

Sofia’s face turned stubborn, and she pushed his hand from her face, turning her face away, feigning a frown.

“I am not buying that. This is not my home anymore. You needed space, I am giving it to you,” she said.

“I am sorry, I just said that so I can think through. I thought it would help, but it didn’t, because I couldn’t stop thinking about you, every second, every minute. I couldn’t help but want you around me and in my arms. I have missed you so much. Please let me make it up to you, anything you want me to do, I will do it. Just name it.”He said sincerely, his eyes pleading.

     “Anything?”She smirk.

     “Yes, name it, it’s yours.”

Sofia sighed and thought for a while, a sly smile spreading across her face. “Marry me.”

“Sure, I will…”his face lit up, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

She interrupted him, her face turning playful. “I was just kidding.”  he chuckled. “I don’t want anything from you, just you alone is enough for me. Promise me you will never push me away, no matter what happened.”

“I swear with my life, I will never do that.” He said, his eyes locking onto hers.

“Don’t swear with your life, your life is precious to me.”She blushed.

“I love you, Sofia. I love you very much.” Her eyes welled up with tears, and her face contorted with emotion. “I promise to love you forever and never let you out of my sight.” He said, His face turned warm, and he kissed her forehead.

“Really?”her face turned hopeful, and she asked, trying to control her tears,

“Yes, will you give me a second chance?”

“Yes, I will.” They smiled at each other, their eyes locked in a loving gaze.

“Thank you.” He caressed her face, and his lips brushed against her cheek. Sofia’s eyes closed, and her face relaxed into his touch.

He turned adoring, and he cupped her face, leaning his lips closer to hers. Their lips met softly, and they shared a passionate kiss. Her arms encircled his neck, deepening the kiss.

As they kissed, he rolled her over to the bed, caressing her body. Sofia let out a soft moan as his lips caressed her neck.

Some minutes later, they came out of the room, holding hands and smiling. They moved to the dining table to join Troy, who was already eating. Troy’s face turned teasing.

“Hmm, it took you two so long to get down from your room. What were you two busy doing?” Troy asked, smirking.

Sofia’s face turned bright red, and she blushed. Shawn’s face turned annoyed.

“When will you learn to mind your business?” Shawn scoffed.

“I can’t when it concerns two of you.” He said.

Then, one of the workers came to serve them their breakfast.

Troy’s face turned curious. “So, are you two back together?” Shawn and Sofia looked at each other and smiled. Troy’s face turned happy. “Hmm, I see that is a yes. I am happy for the two of you,” he said.

They continued eating, their faces filled with happiness and contentment.

Sofia and Mabel sat in the hall, reading and chatting. Mabel’s face turned curious.

“I can see your bright mood is back. Did you and Shawn settle your differences?” Mabel asked.

     “We did.” She nods.

“Aww! That’s so cute, my friend. I am happy for you.” She smiled warmly.

     “Thank you.”

“So, will you be moving back to his house?”.She asked curiously.

“I guess, maybe.” They both chuckled.

“Finally, everything is going fine. I pray no obstacles come between you two again.”

“I pray so too… So, how is it going between you and Troy? Are you two together now?”

“Yes, we are still working it out. So, I am planning to invite him for a family dinner this weekend.” Mabel said excitedly.

“That will be lovely. I am happy for you, my friend.” She said happily.

“I know.” They both chuckled. “We are planning on seeing a movie together today.” She said smiling.

“Really? Shawn and I are planning that too.”

“That’s good. We four can go together then.”

“How about we six? Nina and her fiancé.” Her face was thoughtful.

“That will be great then.” They smiled at each other, continuing their conversation.

“I told you it might be a misunderstanding,” Mabel said.

“Yeah, you were right. I’m happy my baby and I are back together.”She nodded, still smiling.

They chuckled and turned to Sofia, who was lost in thought.

Sofia’s mind was occupied with the intense moment she had with Shawn in the kitchen the other day, and she couldn’t get her mind off it.

“Sofia!” Nina called, tapping her shoulder, and Sofia jerked back to reality.

    “Are you okay?” Mabel asked.

       “Yes, I’m fine.”She forced a smile.

Nina’s eyes narrowed. “You don’t look like it. Did you and your boyfriend get back together?” Sofia sighed.

     “You didn’t?” Mabel asked.

“It’s kinda complicated right now. I just don’t know what to do anymore.”

“Did you two try to talk it out?”Mabel asked.

“Yeah, he apologized for what he did.”

    Nina’s face lit up. “Really?”.

” This is good. So, this means you two are back together?” Mabel asked.

“Not really. I’m just going to pay him back for what he did.” She sipped from her milkshake, and Mabel and Nina stared at her confused.

“Why do you want to pay him back?” Nina asked.

Sofia’s eyes flashed. “I went through pain for what he did. Let him suffer the same fate.”

Mabel shook her head. “You are unbelievable.”

Later in the day, Sofia returned home and entered the living room to see Shawn chatting with her family. She was surprised.

“Hey, sweetie, you’re home,” Diana said.

Sofia’s eyes narrowed. “What are you doing here?” she asked, talking to Shawn.

Shawn’s face turned charming, and he smiled.

Shawn’s face turned sincere as he said, “I came to see you.”

Sofia’s grandma smiled warmly. “Yes, he has been here for an hour waiting for you.”

Sofia rolled her eyes, “I don’t care, okay.By the way, I am going out.”

“You are going out again with the girls?” Diana asked.

She smirked, her eyes locking with Shawn’s, a mischievous glint in her eye. “No, Mom.”Her smile turned sly. “I have a date.”

Shawn’s mood turned surprised, his eyebrows shooting up.

Grandma’s eyes widened in surprise. “A date? With your friends?”

She raised an eyebrow, her expression teasing. “No, granny, a date with a guy.” Shawn’s face turned jealous, his eyes flashing with emotion.

Diana’s mouth opened to speak, but Shawn stood up, interrupting her. “Um,” She started.

“We will be taking our leave now.”He said smiling forcedly.

Before Sofia could react, Shawn quickly picked her up and slung her over his shoulder. Her eyes widened in shock, her face flushing. She was caught off guard, her family looking on in amusement.

“Put me down!” She yelled, struggling against Shawn’s grip, her face red with anger.

Shawn smiled, waving at her family. “Bye.” He walked away with Sofia, her family waving after them, She still struggling, hitting his back with her fists.

They arrived home, and Shawn dragged her out of the car. She struggled with him, her face red with anger, and he flipped her over his shoulder.

“Put me down!” she yelled, her voice muffled against his back.

He carried her inside, heading to his bedroom. They got to the room, and he flipped her onto the bed, pinning her down.

“What are you doing?” she asked, her voice firm.

“Giving you the punishment you deserve. Now, tell me who is the moron you are going on a date with?” He asked, his eyes burning intensity.

“Is none of your business. Let me go.” She said being defiant.

He scoffed, his lips curling up. “You are not getting away with this one.”

He started to undo his tie, and She stared confusedly at him, her hands still pinned to the bed.

“What are you doing?” she asked, her voice laced with uncertainty.

Shawn’s smile turned mischievous. “You will see.” He took off his necktie and used it to tie her hands together to the bed. Sofia’s eyes widened in shock. “You shouldn’t have mentioned another man in my face. You should know I owe you,” he said, his voice low and husky.

He got up from her body, and She struggled to untie herself, her face flushed with anger.

“Let me go, Shawn. Why do you tie me up?” she asked, her voice firm.

His face turned smug, his eyes glinting with amusement. “Is just the beginning, Sofia.”

He smirked and started to undress himself in front of her, his eyes locked on hers. Sofia’s eyes widened in surprise, her face pale.

“Shawn, let me go,” she said, her voice trembling.

“Is too late.” He smile wickedly.

He took off his shirt, revealing his broad shoulders and six-pack abs. She gulped hard, her eyes fixed on his muscular body.

Her eyes widened in alarm as Shawn climbed onto the bed, his body looming over hers. “What are you trying to do?” she questioned, her voice trembling.

His face turned smug, his eyes glinting with amusement. He smirked as he moved closer to her, their bodies colliding. Her face flushed as he caressed her face, her body trembling at his touch.

He eyes locked onto hers, his gaze burning with intensity. He leaned his face closer to her neck and kissed it, his lips warm against her skin. She let out a gasp, trying to control herself.

“Shawn,” she whispered, her voice barely audible.

“Tell me who the guy was that you are planning to go on a date with,” he said, his voice low and husky.

He started to flirt with her, placing kisses on her neck and tracing it with his tongue to her body. His hand roamed her body, sending shivers down her spine.

Sofia’s eyes closed as she tried to hold her moan. Her face contorted in pleasure, her body arching towards Shawn’s.

His hand traced to her shirt and started to undo the buttons one after the other. She became weak by his touches and kisses around her body, her eyes still closed in ecstasy.

She eagerly wanted his lips on hers, but Shawn was teasing her, his eyes gleaming with amusement as he watched her succumb to his touch.

His eyes locked onto her body as he finally undid her button, revealing her black sexy bra and her flat tummy. He could see her body trembling, and his face turned filled with desire.

“You are so beautiful,” he said, his voice low and husky.

He caressed her tummy with his lips, and Sofia’s eyes widened in shock. She grabbed tight to the bed handle with her hands still tied. His face turned smug, his eyes gleaming with amusement.

“Shawn, please stop, I can’t take this anymore,” She said, her voice pleading.

He continued with the teasing, his face inches from hers. “Tell me the truth,” he said.

“The guy is no one, I just made that up to tease you, please stop.” She pleaded, losing her sanity, and Shawn smirked.

“Will you ever disobey me again?” he asked, kissing her neck.

Her eyes closed, and her face contorted in pleasure. “No, I won’t.”

“Will you ever mention another man to me again?” He asked.

     “I promise I won’t, please!”She said, her voice weak.

He smiled and turned to look at her. Her eyes were closed, and her face was flushed.

“Open your eyes,” he said. She opened her eyes slowly to meet his. His eyes burned with intensity. “I made a promise not to go far with you until you are twenty. Don’t make me break that promise, because if I do, I don’t think I can stop. Don’t push me, Sofia.” He smiled and kissed her forehead as he stood up from the bed to leave.

“Aren’t you going to untie me?”

“Nope.” He said as he wore his shirt and left the room. Sofia grunted angrily.

“Damn you, Shawn!” she yelled, her face red with anger and frustration.

“Lucia, maybe by the time you’re watching this video I might be dead. I want to tell you everything I know about Jade, Maggie’s mother…” Avery began.

Lucia’s eyes widened as she felt goosebumps course throughout her body. What is this video?

“Jade, Maggie’s mom… She’s not who you think she is, she’s much worse.” Avery stuttered. “One day I overheard her conversation with my mom and…and…she tipped off my mom to kill my adopted sister, her name is Lucia too. Now she’s after you, she used a video of me to sabotage your reputation. I don’t know why she’s doing all these but that woman, she’s dangerous. Please-”

Lucia’s phone fell off her hand due to shock. It was so much information to digest at once. Jade killed her?

No.. Jade paid the woman she once saw as mother to kill her. Eloise was the one who killed her?

“Why?” Was all that left Lucia’s lips. Why did Eloise adopt her if she was going to harm her at the end.

Lucia’s hand went to her chest as she gripped it tightly in pain, her vision was getting blurry. This was so much news to digest in one go.

“What did I ever do wrong… All I just wanted was to live a peaceful and normal life.” Lucia whispered to herself as tears slipped off her eyes.

Just when she thought she was finally going to live a normal life now that she was in another’s body, it turned out that person who once killed her was trying to kill her again.

Come to think about it, why is Jade after the two Lucias. What connection does she have with the K-pop Lucia.

“Lucia!” Kingsley caught Lucia when she swayed backwards. She didn’t even realize she was falling.

“Lucia, are you alright?” Kingsley cupped her cheek. A worried look marred his face when he saw her in tears.

“I’ll kill her!” Lucia said as anger took over her

    “What?”

“I’ll kill her! I’ll kill that woman! I’ll make her suffer for everything she did to me!” Lucia tried breaking free from his grip but he held her tight

“Lucia! Please…” Kingsley hugged her and she immediately stopped struggling. She buried her face on his chest as she cried loudly.

“Lucia!” Scarlett gasped when she got to the balcony with the girls.

    “What’s wrong?” Eva asked.

“Lucia needs some time alone… I’ll take her with me, if it’s okay with her.” Kingsley asked and Lucia nodded

    “Sure..” Becky muttered, looking worried.

And like that, they both left.

    <YOON’S MANSION>

Mason was seen in his room, sitting comfortably on his sofa as he played a video game on his TV. He hissed angrily and tossed the game controller aside when he lost a round for the fourth time.

Mason ran his hand through his hair, staring at the ceiling. Kyle’s words kept ringing over and over in his head. He can’t believe Kyle was ready to sacrifice his dream for him

He felt angry and guilty, mostly guilty; angry at his brother’s foolishness of sacrificing his dream for him and guilty for the way he treated Kyle during all these years. To think he didn’t even have any feelings for Becky but he was ready to ruin things between Becky and Kyle.

Mason sighed and stood up from the sofa then picked his phone. He went to Kyle’s number and began staring at it, not knowing if he should call him or not

“F*+*k..” Mason hissed and kept back his phone when guilt couldn’t allow him to make the call.

    <JACKSON’S PLACE>

“This shirt looks so good on me! Can I keep it?” Scarlett asked as she stared at herself on the mirror.

“Sure, not like if I said no you would listen. Each time you come for sleepover, one of my shirt disappear.” Jackson said and he dressed the bed. Scarlett laughed lightly.

One he was done, he laid down on it and Scarlett immediately snuggled closer to him.

“Next month, we’ll be writing our final exams. I was thinking of applying for a scholarship to study in France once we’re done with highschool.” Jackson said and Scarlett immediately looked up.

“Then I’m coming with you.” She said.

Jackson chuckled as he patted her hair. “Don’t be silly, you’re an idol so you’ll have to stay with your friends. You can’t study in a different university from them.” Jackson said.

Scarlett sniffed as tears threatened to fall from her eyes. “Does that mean we’ll…breakup?” She asked in a whisper.

“Wild of you to think that. I love you too much to let you go like that. Guess we’ll find out how long distance relationship feels like.” Jackson said and Scarlett straddled him.

“You better not look at any girls there. I’m sure you’ll see girls way more prettier than me.” Scarlett bit her lips.

Jackson sat up, holding her waist. “You’re enough for me.” He muttered and with that, he claimed her lips.

Scarlett dived her hands into his messy hair as she reciprocated the kiss. His hands went to her waist, holding her possessively as their tongue rolled against each other.

Jackson trailed kisses from her lips to her neck where he placed a wet kiss there before sucking on it.

    “Babe…”

His hands crawled under the shirt she was wearing as he palmed her bare @ss, earning a m+an from her. Scarlett gripped his shirt and raised it up, pulling if off his body before her hand began moving on his body.

Jackson switched positions, laying her on the bed with him on top. He stared at her face while breathing heavily.

“Let’s sleep. Tomorrow is Avery’s burial and the whole class has to attend.” Jackson said.

He could see disappointment flash through her eyes.

“I don’t want to sleep.” Scarlett said.

“If we don’t sleep then I fear I might loose control of myself.” Jackson muttered.

“Then don’t hold back. I… I want you.” Scarlett looked away as she blushed shyly.

Jackson smiled and cupped her cheek then kissed her lips. His other hand went to her thigh to caress it and he felt her tense up but slowly relaxed back.

He pulled off the shirt which was the only thing she was wearing. He placed wet kisses on her neck, going down to her chest before he captured one of her n+pples in his mouth, sucking on it teasingly.

    “Jackson…” Scarlett moaned out.

His other hand touched her down there, eliciting another m+an from her.

Her moans were like fuel being poured on the unquenchable fire in him. He immediately pulled off his trouser before coming on top of her.

“Whenever you want me to stop, just say it.” He whispered in her ear.

“Yes_Argh!” Scarlett cried out when he pushed himself gently inside her. Tears slipped out of her eyes due to the sharp pain she felt.

“I love you babe.” Jackson kissed her tears as he began moving slowly.

Pleasure mixed with pain began sipping in her body and she m+aned out.

    “Jack… Mhm..”

    <KINGSLEY’S CONDO>

Kingsley ran his hands through his hair as the water poured from the shower to his body. He folded his fists tightly as the video resurfaced in his head.

Earlier when he had succeeded in putting Lucia to sleep he watched the video and his anger knew no bound when he watched it.

But he couldn’t help but wonder. What’s the relationship between the two Lucia and why did she wanted them dead?

He was still thinking when he heard the doorbell. He got out of the bathroom then looked at Lucia who was sleeping on his bed before he walked to see who it was.

His eyes widened when she saw Maggie standing there, all wet with the rain as she was shivering from the cold.

    “Margaret?”

“Kingsley… Please help me,, my mom she’s a…a.” Maggie couldn’t finish her word as tears escaped her eyes.

    <NEXT MORNING>

The burial reception was held in a hall. That’s were the commemoration will be held before they will move to the graveyard to bury Avery.

Eloise was squatting besides Avery’s body that was confined in a coffin as she cried bitterly. Everyone was wearing black, even Avery’s classmates they all came dressed in black too.

Lucia stared at the scenario Eloise was causing with a poker face. Earlier she was feeling bad because she once took Avery as her sister but after seeing the video where she confessed, all the pity flew to the window and was replaced with rage, a rage she was trying to suppress

Suddenly Jade and Maggie walked in the hall, both dressed in black too. Maggie looked at Kingsley who nodded at her before she looked front.

“Eloise.” Jade called with a sorry look on her face.

Eloise looked up at Jade with red teary eyes. When she saw it was Jade, her blood boiled.

“I’m so sorry for your daughter’s lost.” Jade said.

    “Get out…” Eloise sneered

    “But-”

The big Flat screen suddenly turned on and the video of Avery confessing began playing.

Jade’s body immediately froze as she watched the video with wide eyes… She turned to look at Maggie who had tears in her eyes.

“I’m sorry mom.” Maggie muttered and almost immediately the police sirens were heard.

A woman sitting amongst the crowd stood up and pulled out the black veil she had on and Jade almost fainted.

    “Vi…Vivian.”
