Emperor Augustus entered the room with a worried look on his face,the royal physician was still in,talking to Esme. 

“Your majesty” They both bowed immediately. 

The emperor looked at Zhuri sleeping on the bed before facing the physician

“What happened to her? Is she sick?” He asked. 

Esme immediately walked out. 

“Your majesty,I don’t know if this is a good news but….Zhuri is pregnant” The physician said. 

Emperor Augustus raised his brows like he didn’t hear that. 

“What?” 

“She’s…pregnant your majesty. She’s three weeks pregnant” She repeated and the emperor’s eyes widened. 

He looked at Zhuri on the bed again,pregnant? How? He was almost so sure that he really didn’t impregnate her,how the heck did she got pregnant?? 

The emperor let out a scoff. 

“She will be fine,right?” He asked. 

“Of course your majesty,she will be fine once she’s awake” 

Emperor Augustus sighed and walked out of the room.

“Huh?? His majesty……..want…me to leave?” Ryleigh stuttered. 

“Your days are over here and that was his decision” Asher told her. 

Ryleigh swalllwed. 

“I need to talk to him for the last time…..”

“I’m sorry but you can’t,He’s not really in a good mood tonight” 

Ryleigh blinked out tears. 

“But that’s not fair,I can’t just leave this way,I can’t” She shook her Head. 

“You should get ready,your palanquin will take off quite early in the morning” Asher said and walked out of the room. 

Ryleigh kept on crying her eyes out.

MAIDS QUARTER**

“She’s pregnant” Esme told McKenzie and Alora as they kept on pressurizing her to tell them what happened to Zhuri. 

“What?!!!” They screamed. 

“Shhhhh” Esme said and they kept quiet at once. 

“Nobody else is allowed to hear about this,be careful” She said 

“But,a slave shouldn’t get pregnant for her lord,she’s in trouble. I’m scared” Mackenzie said. 

Esme shook her head. 

“I don’t think you should” 

“What was the emperor’s reaction? Was he angry?” Alora asked.

“I have no idea,but let’s hope for the best. Zhuri will be fine” Esme said. 

“I don’t want anything to happen to my lady” Alora said in tears. 

“Nothing is going to happen,hold it in” Mackenzie hugged her. 

Esme sighed out.

ROYAL CHAMBER**

The emperor was busy pacing around when the deity appeared,sitting on a chair. 

“Why are you so disturbed?” She asked. 

The emperor immediately faced her. 

“Why is she pregnant? How?” He asked. 

“Isn’t this what you want….”

“That’s not my point right now,I’m asking how she got pregnant” Emperor Augustus snapped. 

“I didn’t do it alone,it’s all because of her pure love for you Augustus” The deity replied. 

“But why now?”The emperor asked. 

“I’m sure you understand what I’m talking about,why now” 

“I couldn’t control it…but she’s going to be in danger….”

“Exactly my point! Forrest is out there,ready to go to any extent to destroy me and the people around me,what do you think is going to happen of he find out about this? Why do you do things at the wrong time alone? Just why?!” The emperor yelled. 

“You will protect her” The deity replied. 

“You promised to protect her…”

“Yes I would,but her child? What if I end up leaving her alone? What pain do you think is up to that?” 

“I don’t think there’s anything you can do right now Augustus” 

Emperor Augustus shook his head. 

“I see you don’t know what you’re talking about,she’s going to be in pain,I don’t want that to happen to her,I would hate that so much” He said.

NEXT DAY_XIMENA’S SUITE**

“My lady…I think Zhuri is pregnant” The guard blurted out. 

“What?!!” Ximena stood up with wide eyes. 

“Pregnant? How? Where did you hear that from?” She asked. 

“I overheard the court lady telling two maids”  he replied. 

“That’s not possible,never,it’s not going to happen! She can’t be pregnant” Ximena said almost stammering. 

She sat down again and shook her head. 

“How did his majesty react?” She asked. 

“I have no idea my lady,but do you think he will really allow her keep the pregnancy?” 

“Go find out more,find out everything going on and tell me,go!” Ximena yelled. 

“Ryleigh left the palace” 

Ximena smiled. 

“I knew she won’t last” She said. 

“I will leave now” The guard bowed and walked out. 

“Zhuri….just pray the emperor doesn’t accept that thing inside you. Or I’m going to kill you myself” Ximena mumbled,folding her fist.

ZHURI’S ROOM**

Zhuri was in tears,Esme sitting next to her. The emperor have refused to allow her into his chamber since morning. 

“Zhuri can you stop crying?” Esme asked. 

“How can I stop crying? He doesn’t want to see me anymore,why did I get pregnant? I thought….he would be happy….” Zhuri said in tears. 

“Zhuri,you need to calm down. His majesty need some time to think of what to do, the ministers really can’t know about this now,a slave should never get pregnant for her lord” Esme said. 

“Then,what will happen to me now?” Zhuri asked. 

“Let’s wait until the emperor decides” Esme said ,pushing back the stool of food to her. .

“Before then,you need to eat and be strong” She said. 

“I don’t want to eat,I will eat when I get to talk to him” Zhuri mumbled and wiped her tears. 

“You really won’t do that,you’re endangering your child…..”

“You can’t call it that when my lord doesn’t even want to see me. He told Asher not to let me in earlier,it hurts” Zhuro said,tearing up again. 

Esme sighed out. 

“I’m sure everything will be fine,just calm down please” She said. 

“Please eat,should I feed you??”

Zhuri shook her head and finally picked up her spoon to eat. 

“Good girl” Esme smiled and stroked her hair.

NIGHT_IN THE WOODS**

Forrest was walking around the woods,his two hands behind him looking for his next prey. 

Tabitha appeared in front of him,he ignored her and kept on walking. 

“You really don’t think you can win against Augustus right?” She asked. 

Forrest frowned and faced her back. 

“Say that again and you will find your head on the ground” He threatened angrily. 

“But I have the secret….how you can end him completely with no traces,just the way you disappeared years ago” Tabitha said. 

Forrest was quiet for a minute but the he started walking away. 

“I am telling you the truth!! You can’t end him,He’s now an immortal!! Only the deity can take him away!!” Tabitha screamed. 

Forrest sped to her and grabbed her neck. 

“I don’t care!!! I will end him with my own hands!!” He growled. 

“Quit lying to yourself,you’re not even half as strong as he is,let me help you” Tabitha said. 

Forrest started strangling her but she disappeared from his grip. 

“Rrrrrrrhhhhh” Forrest growled loudly and the whole woods shook. 

“I’m going to end him my own self,I don’t need that!!!” He said loudly and angrily.  

“Augustus” he fold his fist.

BACK IN THE MOON PALACE_ZHURI’S ROOM**

Sabrina entered the room and met Zhuri sitting down,staring at herself in the mirror. 

“Hey” Sabrina called and Zhuri turned back. 

“My princess” She stood up. 

Sabrina moved closer and hugged her 

“I’m so happy for you” She said. 

“Huh?” 

“Esme told me” Sabrina said. 

“But…..”

“You seriously aren’t thinking of keeping it from me right?” Sabrina frowned. 

“No…but not now” Zhuri said. 

They both sat down. 

“Are you worried about my brother?” Sabrina asked and Zhuri sighed. 

“I know my brother can’t do anything that would hurt you Zhuri,believe me” Sabrina said. 

“But…I’m scared” Zhuri said. 

Sabrina pat her hair. 

“Don’t be scared,you will be fine. I promise” She said and Zhuri nodded. 

“I will believe you” She said and Sabrina chuckled. 

They were still talking when they heard a knock on the door,immediately they stopped talking and exchanged glances. 

Zhuri stood up and went to open,revealing Asher by the door. 

“His majesty summoned you” He said and Zhuri’s heard skipped a beat. 

Sabrina came over. 

“Is brother angry?” She asked. 

“I really have no idea princess” Asher replied. 

Sabrina cupped Zhuri’s cheeks

“Everything will be fine,go” She said. 

Zhuri smiled and nodded before following Asher. 

Sabrina sighed and also left her room. 

“Are you okay?” Gael joined her. 

“Where were you all day?” Sabrina asked. 

“You didn’t call for me” Gael replied. 

“Just because I said you shouldn’t come to me,are you really rejecting me now?” Sabrina stopped walking. 

“No” Gael muttered. 

“If you’re not rejecting me…then what is this” She asked. 

Gael leaned closer to her and pecked her lips. 

“This is what it is” he smiled. 

Sabrina wanted to kiss him again but he covered her mouth. 

“You don’t wanna get caught” he said and Sabrina smiled. 

“Let’s go to my suite…..”

“Not now,let’s meet tonight” Gael winked at her and walked away. 

Sabrina almost screamed as she ran to her suite.

ROYAL CHAMBER**

Zhuri walked into the room and met the emperor standing,she bite her lips before calling him. 

“My lord” 

Emperor Augustus faced her. 

“Are you okay?” He asked.

“You’re asking me that just now? You ignored me all day”Zhuri said in tears. 

The emperor said nothing. 

“Don’t cry” He said and Zhuri wiped her tears. 

“Why am I here?” She asked. 

“We need to talk about….that” The emperor said,looking at her tummy. 

Zhuri touched her tummy. 

“It’s not the right time Zhuri….”

“What do you mean by it’s not the right time? You said you’ve wanted this all your life! You told me! So why are you changing mouth now?! Why!” Zhuri cried. 

“Because I don’t want you to get hurt,can you listen to me just this once?” 

“Why should I listen? Who’s going to hurt me? Your brother?” 

“Zhuri you can’t understand”

“Then make me understand at least!! Make me understand why I can’t have your child like you want,do you want someone else? Ximena?”

The emperor said nothing. 

“This isn’t the right time” He uttered. 

“Then…..what are you planning? What should I do now?” Zhuri asked. 

“Getting rid of it” The emperor said and Zhuri’s eyes widened.

SAME NIGHT_ROYAL CHAMBER**

It was all silence between the emperor and Zhuri as she poured him some tea from the jug into the glass cup,she wanted to ask questions but at the same time she was scared of his anger. 

Different questions were going through her head,who was that man? Why were they fighting? 

“You can have this my Lord” She said,pushing the glass cup closer to him. 

The emperor looked at her. 

“That was my brother” He said and Zhuri’s eyes widened. 

“Your brother?” She asked again and the emperor nodded. 

“I have two brothers” Emperor Augustus said and it sounded like a weird story in Zhuri’s ears. 

“I killed them” The emperor said and the jug almost fell from Zhuri’s hand. 

She immediately dropped it. 

“Huh?” She was confused,did she hear that right? 

“We had a fight when we were still together in the other world,and….I killed them during the fight. That was the reason why I’ve been stuck here for the past five hundred years” The emperor explained. 

Zhuri swallowed,she was speechless and at the same time confused and scared. 

“I’m more bad than you think Zhuri,you will start running away from me if you know what I did,I’m not a good person” Emperor Augustus said and continued. 

“I’ve been waiting for this day…when my brothers will come for me,definitely to kill me,even though they won’t be able to…but If they can’t,then they will go for something else,someone who mean a lot to me…..”

“You’re not going to tell me to stay away from you…..right?” Zhuri asked. 

“Maybe that will be the right thing to do at this point Zhuri” the emperor said. 

Zhuri shook her head. 

“I don’t care what you did,I want to be with you no matter what,my lord” 

“I don’t want you to get hurt,don’t fall in love with me Zhuri,I don’t deserve it. I’m not someone you can love,I won’t be here for you to the end,because I won’t be here forever and……..”

“Stop!!!!” Zhuri screamed out tearfully. 

“Stop telling me or that,stop trying so hard to make me leave! Fine,I’m going to stay away like you want,but I will be waiting for you to call me back,I won’t give up. I want you to miss me so much,then you call me back,I will be waiting” Zhuri said and walked out of the chamber in tears. 

“I shouldn’t fall in love with him?,when I’ve fallen so hard? Why is he telling me all that?” She asked as she walked to her room,more tears falling down her eyes. 

“He’s so mean…..so mean. I hope he miss me so much,he should. I’m not going to run after him this time around,no matter how hard it is,no matter how much I miss him” She said and wiped her tears.

FIVE DAYS LATER_MOON GARDEN**

Emperor Augustus was staring at the moon tree,it’s been five days since he spoke with Zhuri,he knew she cried when he told her to stay away. But he was surprised when he came here and found the flowers still blooming beautifully. 

*Iwant you to miss me so much,then you call me back,I will be waiting* 

That was Zhuri’s word. 

It’s obvious she doesn’t hate him, she’s waiting like she said. 

“You must be worried about her” The deity appeared and the emperor faced her. 

“I told you to do something about her,can’t you take those feelings away from her? Forrest is back,he might hurt her” He said. 

“He won’t hurt her” The deity said. 

The emperor gave her a look. 

“You need to decide at this point August” The deity said. 

“Even if I want to leave……not now” The emperor said. 

The deity sighed out and turned to the tree. 

“So what’s your decision?” She asked. 

“I’m going to protect her…..so give me more time to stay” Emperor Augustus said and the deity nodded.

SERVANTS QUARTER**

Zhuri was alone in the kitchen doing the dishes,the past five days have been so hectic and boring to her,totally down.

Even though she tried to stop herself from being moody and just forget about the emperor for few days,she just couldn’t get her mind straight,not thinking about him was beginning to seem like a sin. 

Without telling her,she knew she was getting obsessed,she just want to be with him every second of the day. She has volunteered to do all the ditches just because she wanted to forget about him,but as always,nothing is working. 

“Zhuri?” Lady Esme called the moment she entered. 

Zhuri turned. 

“Lady Esme” She called and managed to smile. 

“Why are you doing this all alone?” Esme asked. 

“It was my decision” Zhuri replied. 

“You always work yourself too much when you have alot in your mind,I’ve noticed you for the past five days,you don’t look so good. What happened this time?” Esme asked. 

“Is there any herb I can use to stop me from thinking about him?” Zhuri asked in a silent voice. 

Esme couldn’t help but to burst into a loud laughter. 

“What?” 

Zhuri sighed and continue washing the dishes. 

“You think there’s anything like that?” Esme asked. 

“I wish there is” Zhuri replied and Esme stroked her hair.

“Zhuri” Esme called and pulled her into a hug.

Esme smiled.

The emperor was inside with Asher while working when Ryleigh’s arrival was announced outside. 

Asher looked at the emperor. 

“Should I let her in?” He asked. 

Just before the emperor could reply,the door opened and Ryleigh came in. 

“Your majesty” She bowed.

“Why are you here?” The emperor asked. 

“You refused to see me” Ryleigh replied. 

“Ryleigh,I told you I’m not in the mood……..”

“Did I do something wrong? This is like a punishment your majesty” Ryleigh said. 

“Can you leave for now? I am working,let’s talk later” The emperor said and Ryleigh shook her head. 

“Can we just talk now…..”

“Ryleigh!!” He yelled at her and Ryleigh bit her lips. 

“Can you please just leave? Leave!” 

Ryleigh immediately turned and walked out of the chancery. 

“Follow her” The emperor said to Asher. 

“Yes your majesty” Asher bowed and went out,after Ryleigh. 

Ryleigh turned back and saw Asher following her. 

“Why are you here?” She asked. 

“His majesty’s order,he want me to walk you to your suite” Asher said. 

“He cares,he still cares…right?” She asked. 

“No” Asher replied and Ryleigh raised her brows. 

“He doesn’t?” She asked. 

“Think about it and answer the question yourself lady” Asher said. 

Ryleigh saw some maids passing,holding red apples. 

“The apples” She said. 

“You want them?” Asher asked and she immediately nodded. 

“I will help you get……”

“Let’s go together” Ryleigh cut in. 

“Huh?” Asher looked at her and she smiled. 

“Why are you making that face? I want to watch you getting them for me” She grabbed his hand. 

“Which way?” She asked. 

“Left” Asher replied in a mutter as she kept holding his hand. 

Ximena saw them from afar and smirked.

“Your majesty I couldn’t get the…….” Asher stopped talking when he couldn’t find the emperor on the same seat he left him just two minutes ago. 

“Your majesty??” He called and ran into the room,but it was empty. 

“He didn’t disappear again right?” Asher wondered and sighed out loudly. 

He dropped the book in his hand and ran out of the chamber.

Zhuri was on the bad,even though she couldn’t sleep,she lay down there,staring into the air. 

Suddenly a knock came on the door and she sat up instantly,

A sudden coldness rushed through her body and she wondered who that was. 

She got down from the bed and walked to the door. She slowly opened the door,standing before her was the emperor. 

“My…..lord?” She called,staring into his eyes. 

“Can I come in?” The emperor asked. 

“No,I was about sleeping. And besides,you shouldn’t be here” Zhuri replied and closed the door. 

She was expecting him to appear inside but nothing of such happened. 

‘He gave up? Just like that?’ She thought and immediately opened the door back. 

The emperor was still standing there. 

“Why….are you still here?” Zhuri asked. 

“I’m going to stay here till you want me in” He replied and Zhuri looked down. 

“I’m the slave,you’re the master. I didn’t mean that” She mumbled and walked in without closing the door. 

Emperor Augustus entered and closed the door,he turned to Zhuri who was now backing him. 

“You asked me to stay away” Zhuri said. 

“And you told me you will be waiting” The emperor replied and Zhuri faced him. 

“Then you will do it again,and I will keep waiting forever……”

“I missed you” The emperor cut her off. 

“I couldn’t even keep to my own word,I missed you so much that it’s killing me…I’m sorry I said that,I just want to protect you” He said and for the first time Zhuri could feel that softness and sincerity in his voice. 

“But….why did you come here? You should have called” Zhuri said. 

“Why? You think someone might see me?” 

Zhuri nodded. 

“I don’t mind” The emperor said and Zhuri smiled. 

“I missed you too my Lord,alot” She said. 

Emperor Augustus moved closer to her and pulled her into a hug. 

“I’m sorry for pushing you away every time,but not anymore. I’m going to protect you no matter what,from now on” He said. 

‘Is that a love confession?’ Zhuri thought,hugging him back tightly. 

“Do you want us to sleep together tonight? Right beside each other, I missed it so much” Zhuri said. 

“No,I don’t want that” The emperor replied.

Zhuri broke the hug right away and looked up into his eyes. 

“Why? You said you missed me,are you going to leave me here again?” She asked sadly. 

The emperor pulled her hair behind her hair and caress her cheek. 

“I can’t sleep beside you because…..I will be sleeping inside you” He said and Zhuri’s heart skipped a beat. 

“Huh?” 

“I missed being inside you so much Zhuri,and tonight,I don’t want to come out again when I’m in” The emperor said and Zhuri couldn’t believe her ears.

THE PREVIOUS NIGHT, ROYAL CHAMBER**

The emperor was in his library,reading as usual. Somehow he was waiting patiently for Zhuri and Sabrina to return safely into the palace. 

All of a sudden,a loud and strange wind from nowhere blew past his face,his long hair scattered and his eyes turned red,his hair became white and his claws were trying to force themselves out. 

The book in the emperor’s hand dropped and he looked up,out of the window then back to his claws. 

He immediately controlled them and everything became normal again,but again that same feelings kept coming. 

“What was that?” He mumbled and stood up,he walked out of the library into the lounge,it was empty but all the lights were already out. He shone his eyes on them and they all came back on. He walked into the bedroom,it was also dark and empty,after turning on the lights,he disappeared from the room and appeared in the palace field 

It was so silent outside but he could inhale the strange smell,it was strange but yet familiar in a way. 

In a way that his devilish self was restless,his claws wouldn’t stop coming out every second,and his eyes were glowing so much. 

“What’s going on?” Emperor Augustus asked himself and looked up. 

The cloud was so dark but he still couldn’t get exactly what was going on. 

But either ways,the feelings aren’t good. It was threatening. 

“Your majesty” That voice made him stop thinking and he turned back to find Ryleigh beaming with smiles as she stared at him. 

“Oh,Ryleigh” The emperor also called. 

“Since you’re here,why not take a walk with me?” She asked. 

Even before the emperor could decline,she grabbed his hand and took him away. 

The emperor looked back about two times before he decided to shove the feelings off. 

Maybe he’s just worried about Sabrina……

TWO HOURS LATER**

“Goodnight princess” Zhuri waved at Sabrina when they got to her suite.

Sarina waved at her one last time before going in. 

Zhuri turned immediately toward the Royal Chamber. 

She have been restless ever since she saw those eyes,back at the market square. She just couldn’t stop thinking about it,she can’t. 

Getting to the chamber,the guards stopped her from going in. 

“I need to see my lord…..”

“I’m afraid you can’t” One of the guards said. 

“Why? Is he asleep?” Zhuri asked. 

“His majesty and lady Ryleigh are inside” 

That sounded twice in Zhuri’s head.

Ryleigh? And the Emperor? Together by this time? That only means one thing,they are spending the night together. 

Zhuri took her lips in and nodded. 

“Thank you” She mumbled and immediately turned back,she walked away.

MORNING, ROYAL CHAMBER**

Ryleigh opened her eyes slowly and turned around,she discovered she was the only one on the bed and immediately sat up. 

“Your……” She haven’t finished when the emperor came in,fully dressed. 

“Your majesty” She bowed. 

The emperor nodded in return.

“Don’t tell me,you left me all alone in the room” Ryleigh said. 

“I couldn’t sleep all night” he replied and Ryleigh’s brows creased. 

“You couldn’t sleep? But….why??” She asked curiously. 

The emperor sighed out.

“You should go now Ryleigh,I will be busy today” He said. 

Ryleigh came down from the bed and moved into him,she hugged him gently. 

“Ryleigh” Emperor Augustus pulled her off. 

“Your majesty,I…..”

“How about we talk later?” 

Ryleigh nodded. 

“I’m going to miss you” She smiled and kissed his cheek before walking out. 

“Your majesty” Asher’s voice came after some minutes. 

“Xinena is here your majesty” Asher said. 

Emperor Augustus walked out of the room to the lounge. 

“Let her in” He answered.

BACK TO THE PRESENT TIME**

“So what?! How dare you look at me like that?………” She couldn’t finish her statement when Zhuri landed an heavy slap on her face. 

It sounded so loud and everyone gasped.  

Ximena’s eyes widened…she wasn’t expecting it. 

“What…did you just do?” She asked and touched her face. 

“You must have forgotten that you’re nothing but you here” Zhuri said only to Xinena’s hearing. 

“What?” Ximena frowned. 

She wanted to hit Zhuri again but Asher appeared at the scene,he grabbed Zhuri’s hand and dragged her away.

The maids kept talking as they walked away,leaving Ximena there in tears

The three deities were all walking in the garden,if was all white and snowy,they all have white robes on matching their white hair.

“He’s back,as I expected” The second deity said. 

“August can’t escape the war coming,but just a decision from him will change everything”  The third Deity said and they both turned to the first deity. 

“Is there any plans we don’t know about?”

“None,But what if August avoid the war? That decision….  Will hurt the human girl” The first deity said. 

“You don’t want to convince him?” The third deity said. 

“No,I promised myself…..this time around. But I hope his decision will be for the best,I want Zhuri to be happy,no matter what.” The first deity said. 

“Either ways,I think Zhuri will be happy,but August….” The second deity shook her head.

NIGHT, MOON PALACE**

Emperor Augustus was walking alone In the palace field,just like last night,his body was restless. 

Still the same feelings,strange but familiar. 

He sighed out and kept walking but then the breeze increased,it started blowing around him alone and he stopped. 

“Show yourself” The emperor said calmly without moving. 

“Do you miss me? Brother?” He heard that voice and he turned. 

His eyes widened immediately he saw the image standing in front of him.

“Forrest?” He called. 

“You’re not even scared to mention my name” Forrest chuckled. 

Walking closer in his black robe,in a blink of an eye,a sword appeared in his hand and vanished,the next second he appeared it was right next to the emperor. 

He slide the sword toward his tummy but the emperor was faster,he flew away from him and Forrest stopped moving,he looked around but couldn’t find him. 

“Your back” Emperor Augustus muttered. 

Forrest turned immediately and pushed his sword forward only to discover that nothing was there. Before he could turn,Augustus’s sword stabbed him from the back and came out in front. 

Emperor Augustus appeared in his front again. 

“You’re still as slow as before” He smirked. 

Forrest laughed out loudly,he removed the sword from his tummy while groaning. He removed it and the sword melted away. 

He sped up to the emperor and grabbed his neck. 

“Can’t believe you still got guts to stab me” Forrest said. 

“Why are you here?” Emperor Augustus asked. 

Forrest shoved his claws into his chest and threw him away,the emperor landed on the ground 

He looked down at his bloody chest and immediately it healed. 

Forrest laughed and shone his red eyes on him. 

“No!!!!” Zhuri screamed and immediately covered the emperor on the ground. 

Forrest stopped,his eyes on Zhuri. 

“My Lord,are you okay?” Zhuri asked.

“Zhuri,Leave,go” Emperor Augustus stood up. 

“How can I leave you? Are you okay?” Zhuri asked and faced Forrest. 

“It was you… At the market Square” She said. 

“Zhuri!!” The emperor called. 

Forrest smiled,still staring at Zhuri interestingly. 

“So what?” He asked. 

“Zhuri Leave” The emperor said. 

Zhuri gave Forrest one last look and started walking away as the emperor ordered but then,Forrest appeared in front of her. 

He touched Zhuri’s hair and she moved away in fear. 

“What are you doing?! Don’t you dare touch her!!” Emperor Augustus yelled. 

Forrest smiled and Zhuri swallowed. 

“I think I fell in love at first sight” Forrest said,still staring at Zhuri.

Asher came over to meet Ryleigh in the passageway.

“Why did you call for me?” Asher asked. 

“Can I meet his majesty today?” She asked. 

“No,his majesty is really busy today” Asher replied.

“Maybe you should go meet him yourself my lady” Asher muttered.

Asher bowed shortly and walked away. 

“I told you…the emperor nust have order him to tell you this if you request to see him” Xamina came out from where she hid. 

“But he’s going to meet his slave?” Ryleigh scoffed. 

“Of course” Ximena smirked. 

“Should I confront him?” Ryleigh asked. 

“I don’t think that’s a nice idea” Ximena said

They both continue walking together as they discussed.

“Of course you can’t,but you have to play your game well at this point” Esme said and Zhuri sighed. 

“I don’t know what will become of me,what If his majesty doesn’t support me when the times comes? I don’t think I will be able to handle that lady Esme” She shook her head. 

Esme sighed and moved closer to her. 

“Don’t think about them Zhuri,just be yourself and continue doing what you’ve always done,okay?” 

Zhuri nodded. 

“But still,I’m scared” She muttered. 

“I know,they are just being shameless if they try to hurt you,they are older and should act like one” Esme said and Zhuri smiled. 

“Thank you lady Esme you’re always behind me” She said. 

“Of course,I will always support you. Because ever since you came here,I’ve seen a lot of changes in his majesty,I don’t want that to stop again,so please don’t let them win” Esme said and Zhuri nodded. 

“I won’t” She muttered.

Neriah came in with a smiley face,Xinena was facing the mirror while the maids apply the night cream on her face.

“I can’t wait for the lady right leave the palace,she’s an headache” Neriah scoffed. 

“She’s not even the real rival but she’s doing too much,how would I explain that husband majesty doesn’t care about her one bit!” Ximena asked and they both laughed. 

“You’re so smart my lady,I’m sure she will get the News after this” Neriah said and Ximena chuckled. 

“Of course she will” She nods her head. 

“But she doesn’t know about your plan my lady,what if she really pass on?” Neriah asked.

“She must have thought you are on her side” Neriah said and they both laughed.

Zhuri sighed out when she stopped in front of the door,she doesn’t even understand why she was suddenly instructed to bring her food,it’s the first time and she had a bad feeling about it already but still she couldn’t ignore her order. 

She knocked gently on the door. 

“Come in” She heard Ryleigh’s voice and she opened the door slowly,she entered and closed the door immediately. 

“My lady,your dinner is here” She said.

“You?” Ryleigh was surprised. 

“Yes my lady” Zhuri replied 

Ryleigh stood up. 

“Where should I drop it?” Zhuri asked. 

“The table” Ryleigh replied. 

Zhuri immediately dropped the tray and faced her again. 

“Don’t leave yet” Ryleigh called back

“Let me finish eating first then you take the plates away” she said and Zhuri nodded. 

She moved away a little bit from her,Ryleigh sat down and started eating.

She didn’t take the fourth spoon when she started coughing. 

“My lady,are you okay?” Zhuri rushed to her and gave her water,but it got even worse,Ryleigh started puking out blood. 

Zhuri’s eyes widened. 

“Ahhhh!!!!” Ryleigh screamed. 

The door opened immediately and some guards rushed in,some maids also entered. 

“My lady!!!” They screamed as Ryleigh almost fell on the floor but was caught by the guards. 

“Inform his majesty immediately!” 

Zhuri swallowed hard,watching as Ryleigh’s eyes went closed,her hands were totally shaking,she couldn’t contain the fear that overshadowed her that very second.  

She watched as they carried her out in rush. 

She knew she was in trouble,nobody have to tell her that.

The news already circulated in the palace,The emperor’s slave tried to kill his future empress and all that. 

Ryleigh was still unconscious but has been treated by the physician and poison was found inside her,if they weren’t so fast,she would have died,according to him. 

Zhuri was crying her eyes out,she was kneeling down  in front of the emperor’s chamber,all eyes on her. She haven’t even set her eyes on the emperor yet,she was so scared and it was eating her up. 

 All the maids denied the accusations and someone testified that she actually saw Zhuri doing the evil work and now the search is going on. 

“It’s not here either,which room is left?” Asher asked after they searched the last room in the servants quarter. 

“Zhuri’s room,Commander” One of the guards replied and Asher exhaled. 

“Let’s go” He muttered. 

Inside Zhuri’s room,the emperor appeared and his eyes searched all over the room in full speed,he saw the poison bottle somewhere in the room hidden there and he sighed out. 

“Ximena” he muttered and clenched his fists. 

He took it and disappeared again. 

The door opened and the guards rushed in one after the other to search. 

Emperor Augustus appeared in Ximena’s suite and hid it somewhere before getting vanished again.

Zhuri was still kneeling down and waiting for the big news,minutes later the emperor appeared with guards and her heart started beating even more faster,she was so scared. 

“Your majesty,we couldn’t find the poison in Zhuri’s room either” Asher reported and everyone exchanged glances. 

“You can’t? How come? Then where else would it be?” Ximena asked almost angrily. 

“I asked you to check every room in the palace that is in use” The emperor said. 

“That includes Ximena’s suite also” He added and Ximena couldn’t believe her ears. 

“Your majesty……”

“I don’t think Zhuri have any reason to hurt Ryleigh,don’t you think?” The emperor cut her off. 

“Neither do I!” Ximena said. 

“Asher,go to her suite!! Right away!!” The emperor ordered. 

“Yes your majesty!” Asher said and immediately left with the guards. 

The emperor looked at Zhuri and their eyes met. 

‘I got this Zhuri’ he said inwardly and somehow Zhuri heard that. 

She nodded in tears..

👥 This is weird,Zhuri should be punished. 

Ximena was glaring at Zhuri from where she stood while they all waited for Asher. 

“Your majesty!” Asher returned 

“We found this in the mistress’s suite” he raised the bottle up and everyone gasped,including Ximena. 

“How….how….how did…..Your majesty that’s not true!! I think I’ve been framed!!” She fell on the empwror’s feet. 

“Let’s discuss that tomorrow morning Ximena….throw her into the cell first” The emperor ordered and everyone gasped again. 

“Your majesty!! You can’t do that!!!” She screamed as Asher carried her alone. 

“Zhuri,come with me” Emperor Augustus said and Zhuri stood up immediately,she could see all eyes on her but she didn’t care,she ran after the emperor immediately. 

They entered the chamber together and Zhuri hugged him from the back right away,crying out loudly. She held him tightly without letting go. 

The emperor released himself from her grip and faced her. 

“Hey,stop crying……”

“My Lord……..why…..did you save me?” She asked in tears. 

“Because I know you didn’t do it” The emperor replied. 

Zhuri broke into tears again and hugged him the second time. 

“Thank you…so much” She said and broke the hug. 

The emperor wiped her tears slowly and his eyes got stuck on her lips,he couldn’t look away or control it as he held her face in his hands. 

Zhuri sniffs,also staring at him,wondering what was going on in his head,holding her that way. 

After the long silence,the Emperor slowly lean closer and he gently pressed his lips on Zhuri’s lips.

Zhuri was already wearing back her uniform and the emperor entered the bedroom,he was already dressed up like he was going out. 

“Good morning my Lord” Zhuri bowed. 

The emperor let out a short smile which Zhuri returned immediately,rememberiny how their steamy night went. 

They were both staring at each other lostly when they heard Asher’s voice. 

“I will leave now my Lord” Zhuri bowed again before going out. 

She bite her buttom lip,trying not to smile but she couldn’t control it. 

“Oh finally” She sighed out loudly. 

“Who’s that?” Ryleigh immediately asked the maid walking beside her. 

“Oh,that’s the emperor’s Slave girl” The maid replied. 

“Slave? Then what is she doing in the emperor’s chamber so early in the morning? Did they sleep together?” She asked pissedly. 

“I’m afraid so my lady” The maid replied and Ryleigh scoffed. 

Back in the royal chamber,Asher was telling the emperor his schedules for the day. 

“Is that all?” Emperor Augustus looked at him. 

“You have a dinner with lady Ryleigh tonight your majesty…..”

“Evening” The emperor cut in. 

“Oh…right evening” Asher agreed. 

“Does she know about it?” Emperor Augustus looked up. 

“Not yet,she’s waiting for your message” Asher replied. 

“Then….I will have dinner with her” The emperor said. 

“I will deliver the message” Asher bowed and walked out of the chamber. 

The emperor sighed out and his mind went to Zhuri. 

“What exactly is she??” He thought,he could remember failing to control his crave last night,it was too hard to let her go without having her,he can’t even remember the last time it happened. 

But Zhuri…. there’s just something about her and he can’t even guess. 

But whatever she’s doing to make him sleep so much,he wouldn’t want her to stop. 

“Someone had a good sleep last night” The deity appeared on the seat beside him. 

The emperor rolled his eyes. 

The deity smiled. 

“I want tea” She said. 

“You know where to get it” The emperor replied. 

“You should be less rude now,I thought you two made up” The deity smiled. 

Emperor Augustus turned to her. 

“You should stay away at this point,I don’t want to change my mind again” He said. 

“That human…..is different August,you know,you’re just pretending not to” The deity said. 

“Stay out of it” 

“It wasn’t me all along,she was the reason for everything,all I did was direct her path here….she doesn’t even know about your tree,she must have thought the tree doesn’t exist.” The deity said. 

“She doesn’t know?” The emperor asked,looking surprised. 

“You can read her mind,do it” The deity said. 

“If she doesn’t…..then why is she like that? Why is she so persistent and…..”

“Find out yourself,who knows if you would sleep for two days next time” The deity said in a mocking voice before she disappeared. 

The emperor sighed out loudly.

••SERVANTS QUARTER••

Alora adjusted the box she was carrying and sighed out loudly. 

“Hi” 

Alora turned and saw Gael who smiled at her. 

“Oh…I know you” She said. 

“Really?” Gael touched his chest. 

“Yeah,your name is Gael. I always see you with the princess” Alora replied. 

“Let me help you with this first” Gael took the box from her. 

“Thanks” She smiled. 

“I’ve always wanted to talk to you” Gael said. 

“Me too!” Alora said sharply and Gael chuckled. 

“Cute” He muttered and Alora smiled. 

“Oh..my lady” She saw Zhuri and immediately took the box back from Gael. 

“I will see you later” She said and Gael nodded,watching as she ran after Zhuri. 

He bite his lips and turned back,his eyes widened when he saw Sabrina. 

“Princess……”

Sabrina ignored him and walked away. 

“Is she…angry? Did someone made her angry?” He asked himself,staring at Sabrina.

“You mean you spent the night with his majesty?! Really?!” Alora asked excitedly and Zhuri nodded. 

“You must be so happy about it,you’re glowing. Unlike the past days” Alora said and Zhuri smiled.

“Is it that obvious?” She asked and Alora nodded. 

“Where’s McKenzie? Let’s go eat,I’m starving” Zhuri said. 

“I will drop this first in the store room” Alora said. 

After dropping the box in her hand,they walked to the maids dinning hall. 

“Zhuri!” McKenzie called from where she’s sitting. 

“Why are you calling her to sit here?” A girl asked beside McKenzie. 

“Then get out from here” Kenzie snapped. 

“You can just quit being a maid if you want to make it look more proper,bitch” Alora said and Zhuri chuckled. 

They both sat down beside McKenzie.

“So….how was your night? I saw you going to the emperor’s chamber last night” She whispered in Zhuri’s ear. 

“Stop it” Zhuri laughed. 

“Wow,you’re laughing. I get it clearly,you don’t need to tell me a thing” McKenzie said. 

“I know,my lady is so happy today” Alora said.

••ROYAL COURT ROOM••

“We are really glad you accepted lady Ryleigh into the palace your majesty” One of the royal elders said. 

“But your majesty,what do you think about her? You haven’t really said anything about her” 

“You said you needed an empress,not me” Emperor Augustus said an they all exchanged glances.

“But your majesty,we can’t do it without your permission and order”

“She will have to stay here for some days your majesty,after that you will decide if she can have the title” 

“How many days am I supposed to inspect her and give my feedback?” The emperor asked. 

“Sixty days your majesty”

“Thirty” The emperor snapped. 

“Your majesty,isn’t that…too short? We don’t want you to regret making the decision……”

“After thirty days,I will tell you what I want. She have twenty eight days left now.” Emperor Augustus said. 

“Yes your majesty” They all bowed. 

“Is there anything else you want to discuss?” The emperor asked. 

“The full moon festival will be coming soon your majesty” 

“Full moon” Emperor Augustus replied. 

“The astronauts finally confirmed that we will be experiencing the full moon…soon,it’s been years” 

The emperor said nothing. 

“Let’s talk about something else,you can plan that out yourselves” he muttered. 

“Of course your majesty” they chorused.

••EVENING••

“You can go in” Asher said when they got to the Emperoe’s chamber. 

“Oh okay. Thank……” Before Ryleigh could finish,Asher walked away. 

“Why is he so cold toward me?” Ryleigh’s eyes followed him a little before she finally opened the door and entered. 

“Wow” She uttered,looking all around the lounge. 

“So big and beautiful” She said. 

The emperor came out and Ryleigh immediately bowed. 

“Good evening your majesty” She greeted. 

“You too lady Ryleigh” The emperor said and she smiled. 

“I was really happy when I was told I would have dinner with you your majesty” She said. 

“The maid will be here soon,why don’t we just wait in the dinning room?” 

“The chamber is really big,I really want to see everything,can I?” Ryleigh asked as they approached the dining room. 

“Maybe later,it’s quite late. We should just eat” The emperor replied. 

“Then tomorrow? Do you promise?” Ryleigh smiled. 

“I will let you know” The emperor said. 

As soon as they sat down,Zhuri came in. 

“My Lord” She bowed and also bowed for Ryleigh before she started setting the table. 

“Isn’t she…the slave girl?” Ryleigh asked and Zhuri held the spoon in her hand tightly. 

“Just for me” The emperor replied and Zhuri glanced at him. 

“Huh? I thought…she’s the royal slave” Ryleigh uttered. 

“Like I said lady Ryleigh,she’s only allowed to serve me,nobody else have such power over her” The emperor replied and Zhuri could feel some strange excitement in her heart. 

“Oh…I understand” Ryleigh muttered. 

“Your hair is really long,it looks so cool” She immediately changed the topic. 

“Yours is prettier” Emperor Augustus said and a plate dropped from Zhuri’s hand. 

They both looked at her. 

“Are you okay?” Ryleigh asked. 

Zhuri’s eyes met with the emperor’s own but he looked away. 

“Are you okay?” Ryleigh asked again. 

“I’m fine” Zhuri muttered. 

They started eating

Ryleigh tasted the food. 

“Hmm” She moaned. 

“Taste so good,go on and eat your majesty” She smiled.

The emperor coughed a little. 

“Here” Zhuri and Ryleigh raised a cup of water for him at a time. 

He took Ryleigh’s own and Zhuri scoffed inwardly,glaring at Ryleigh. 

“You can go Zhuri” Emperor Augustus said. 

“I will be back to clean up” Zhuri bowed and went out.

••SABRINA’S SUITE••

Sabrina opened the door and saw Gael standing. 

“What are you doing here?” She asked. 

“Can I come in?” Gael asked. 

“No” Sabrina said. 

Gael entered and she frowned. 

“I said you can’t come in”

“Why are you mad at me?” Gael asked. 

“Who said I’m mad at you?” Sabrina snapped. 

“Because….since morning,I haven’t heard from you,normally you send for you every minute even when what you want me to do isn’t important” Gael said. 

“Well,I have nothing to do all day,that was why” Sabrina rolled her eyes . 

“You’re lying” Gael said. 

“Well yes I’m lying?” Sabrina said. 

“Then,why are you mad at me?” Gael asked. 

“You’ve always wanted to talk to her? Even when we were together right? That means I’m the hindrance,so I decided to stop talking to you so you will have enough time to spend with your crush,I’m sure I did well so why are you here?” Sabrina said. 

“It’s not what you’re thinking,that was…..”

“I don’t want to hear,goodnight. Leave” Sabrina cut in. 

Gael sighed and bowed. 

“Goodnight princess” he muttered and walked out of the suite. 

Sabrina scoffed and went into the bedroom.. 

“So annoying,who stopped him from talking to her? Me?” She hissed.

The emperor sighed out as he walked,he couldn’t sleep and he wasn’t planning to send for Zhuri,she looked sad and angry the other time and he doesn’t even know why she was so mad. 

He suddenly stopped walking when he caught her body scent from the other side,he turned. 

“She’s in the field? Doing what again?” He groaned and started walking to the field. 

“Don’t follow me” He said to the guards and they immediately stopped. 

“He’s not trying to leave the palace again right?” One of the guards asked worriedly. 

“It’s already late,I don’t think he would do that” 

Zhuri was there standing and admiring the stars in the cloud. 

“She’s something else” The emperor scoffed while watching her. 

Zhuri turned and saw him. 

“Oh…my Lord” She immediately ran to him and bowed. 

“What are you doing here?” The emperor asked. 

“I just…came for some fresh air” Zhuri replied. 

“Fresh air in the field? You really like getting hurt,you don’t know the field can be dangerous to stay in the night?” 

Zhuri shook her head. 

“I’m sorry,I won’t come here again.” She muttered. 

“But…why are you walking alone my Lord” She asked. 

“Same reason” The emperor replied and Zhuri smiled. 

They started walking together in silence. 

“Are you okay? You looked angry earlier,did something happened?” The emperor asked without looking at her. 

“I didn’t know…..I was asking myself also…why I was mad” She muttered and he looked at her. 

“Okay” 

“Whoa,the stars are just so beautiful” Zhuri said walking to the front more faster. 

The emperor saw a rodent crossing from one side of the field to another and it was like Zhuri would step on it because she wasn’t looking down. 

“Watch out Zhuri” The emperor said but the rodent run on Zhuri’s legs. .

“Ahh!!!” Zhuri screamed and almost fell. 

The emperor sped up to her and caught her before she could fall. 

“You’re more careless than a stray wolf” He said as Zhuri held him,not letting go. 

“That’s enough,you can leave me now” The emperor said but Zhuri didn’t move. 

He looked down at her and Zhuri also raised her head to look at him,her eyes fell on his lips,the emperor also looked at her red lips as she stared at him innocently. 

‘What is this? I’ve never felt the urge to do the lips thing’ He thought and immediately pulled Zhuri off himself. 

“I told you it’s enough” He snapped. 

“I’m …..sorry” Zhuri mumbled and bite her lips. 

The emperor saw that and scoffed. 

“Is the deity playing a prank on me?” He muttered. 

“Your majesty!” They suddenly heard Ximena and they both turned. 

‘The witch is here again’ Zhuri scoffed. 

“How did you know I was here?” The emperor asked. 

“The guards told me” Ximena replied. 

“Is there a problem?” The emperor asked. 

“I wanted to talk to you….alone” Ximena said. 

“About what?” 

“I know you won’t be able to sleep,so I made some snacks myself and I planned to spend all night with you” she smiled. 

The emperor haven’t said a word when Zhuri spoke up. 

“Don’t do that” She said. 

Ximena frowned and the emperor looked at her. 

“What do you mean?” Ximena asked. 

“Why do you always do this? Anytime I’m with him,you come from nowhere to take him away” Zhuri said. 

“What? Is this bitch crazy?” Ximena asked angrily. 

“I’m not crazy,I demand for an answer lady Ximena. I have the right to know because his majesty and I were having a conversation before you came,we weren’t joking,so why would you take him away?” Zhuri asked. 

“Your majesty!! Allow me slap this bitch!!” Ximena half yelled. 

“My Lord,please choose. Are you going with her,or you want to stay here,I will follow your order right away” Zhuri said,glaring at Ximena who was also glaring. 

The emperor didn’t know when he smiled but nobody saw that. 

“Your majesty…….” Ximena tried talking. 

“You should go Ximena” The emperor cut in. 

“Your majesty”

“Leave Ximena” He repeated. 

Ximena looked at Zhuri, breathing angrily. 

Zhuri smirked at her with a wicked grin.

“Zhuri!” Sabrina and Gael rushed to her,they heard her scream earlier. 

“What the heck happened?!” Sabrina’s eyes widened and immediately knelt in front of her. 

“Gosh….Gael do something” She said 

Gael bent before Zhuri and looked at her.

“Its going to be painful,but I will be gentle” He said and Zhuri nodded. 

Gently,he pulled out the nail and Zhuri bite her lips hard,more tears falling. 

Sabrina hugged her shortly and wiped her tears. 

“Carry her Gael,let’s take her to Esme” She said,telling Gael to turn his back which he did. 

“Get on his back Zhuri,you will be fine” Sabrina said. 

Immediately they left for Esme’s room. 

Minutes later..

“My lady?” Alora rushed in with McKenzie. 

Esme was just done dressing her leg. 

“Are you okay my lady?” Alora asked worriedly. 

‘My lady?’ Sabrina asked in her head but didn’t utter a word. 

“I’m fine Alora,you don’t have to worry,I’m really fine” Zhuri said 

“You shouldn’t really be walking alone at night,just call me anytime” Alora said and Zhuri nodded. 

“She’s quite stubborn” McKenzie said and Zhuri chuckled. 

“Oh…Your highness!!” Alora finally noticed Sabrina sitting,McKenzie also gasped. 

They both bowed at once. 

“Oh,you don’t have to do that” Sabrina said.

In the moon garden,Emperor Augustus was standing in front of his tree,the once blooming tree are once again getting dried,they were dropping right in front of him and burning off before touching the ground. 

He let out a satisfied smirk and turned to leave,the deity was right before him. 

“What do you think you’re doing?” She asked. 

“Me….Living” The emperor replied bluntly. 

“You left her there in pains! Such heartless act from the line of hatred?” 

“Hatred?” The Emperor asked and started laughing out loudly. 

“Who said I hate her? I’m doing all these because I hate you..so let’s say everything happening to her is your fault. You must really think so low of me” He said and turned back to the tree 

“I supposed her tears dried up this tree,now I’m eager to do more,I’ve not even started……”

“Augustus!!!!!” 

“You shouldn’t have given an ordinary human power over this tree!!!! It’s all your fault and I’m not going to stop!” He growled back at her. 

“If you don’t want her to get hurt then make her quit or apologize to me” The emperor said. 

“Apologize?” 

“Of course I said that because you can’t repent of whatever you’re doing,you treat me like I’m a game to you,but sorry,I’m never going to give in to that fate you talked about,she needs me and I don’t even need her,I don’t feel things but she might die if I start fully with her so play smarter. BOSS” The emperor smirked. 

“You really think I will be glad that you found a human who would help in blooming this tree,a human?? So you’re telling me all those 500 years of punishment have no impact? Then the tree better dry up and burn away” He added before he left.

••HOURS LATER,SAME NIGHT, SABRINA’S SUITE••

“Can I really sleep here?” Zhuri asked,looking around. 

“You’re acting like it’s your first time here” Sabrina chuckled. 

“It’s my first time inside here when it’s this late,and now I can sleep over?” Zhuri looked at her. 

“I can’t allow you sleep all alone in your room tonight,you’re hurt” Sabrina said and Zhuri nodded. 

“So,I was thinking of getting a new dress tomorrow. The stylist will be here tomorrow,you will help me pick” Sabrina said and Zhuri nodded. 

“I will pick one for you too” Sabrina added and Zhuri’s eyes widened. 

“Huh? Why?” 

“I know you won’t wear it now,but someday,you might want to look good for my brother”  Sabrina smirked and Zhuri’s eyes fell. 

“What’s wrong?” Sabrina shifted closer to her on the bed. 

“It’s nothing” Zhuri shook her head. 

“How about having fun tomorrow,you have nothing to do anyway,I’m sure your leg would be better by tomorrow so don’t worry” Sabrina said 

“Thank you Sabrina” Zhuri said. 

“She finally called my name” Sabrina fumed and Zhuri laughed. 

“I have some fried chicken brought by Esme earlier,let’s eat it and drink some liquor,do you want that?” 

“Yes please,I’m really going to drink” Zhuri responded immediately. 

Sabrina smiled and stood up at once. 

Zhuri’s mind went to the emperor and she shook her head. 

‘He’s doing too well without you,stop thinking’ she said in her mind and sighed out. 

“Right,I will just drink to forget about him,at least for tonight” She said. 

“Here!!” Sabrina came in with the fried chickens and liquor. 

They arranged the table and sat down on the floor,Zhuri took one of the chicken laps first and bite. 

“Hmm,delicious” She moaned. 

Sabrina poured her a glass of liquor.

“Thanks” She muttered and drank it at once.

••EMPEROR’S CHANCERY••

The emperor have been there for close to an hour working on some reports he couldn’t check all day,The guards outside waiting. 

“Your majesty,a maid brought some snacks” Someone announced and the Emperor looked up. 

“Let her in” He muttered and continue what he was doing. 

The door opened and the maid entered,she greeted and dropped the snacks on the table,he didn’t take a glance at her till she walked out of the chancery. 

Some minutes later,it was announced again that Ximena was there. 

“Let her in” He groaned. 

Ximena came in and smiled as she bowed. 

“Weldone your majesty” she said and sat down opposite him. 

“Why are you here? I was about returning to the chamber” Emperor Augustus said and Ximena smiled. 

“I was impatient to wait your majesty,I got you a present” She said,grinning as she dropped the box on the table. 

“What is it?” The emperor asked. 

Ximena stood up and opened the box,the white royal attire was sparkling like a snow. 

“Wow” The emperor mumbled. 

“It was made from the best materials your majesty” She said,bringing it out. 

“No,leave it in there. I will check it out later. Thank you Ximena” The emperor said. 

Ximena smiled and closed the box again. 

Emperor Augustus stood up and pulled the snacks to Ximena. 

“You can have this in return” He said.

“I will enjoy it your majesty” She smiled. 

The emperor nodded and they both left the Chancery together.

••DAYS LATER, ZHURI’S ROOM••

Alora jumped out of bed the moment the door opened and Zhuri came in.

“Finally you’re here” She said and Zhuri smiled. 

“How long have you been waiting?” She asked. 

“You’ve been spending too much time with the princess,you don’t even have my time anymore” Alora pouted and Zhuri chuckled. 

“It’s not that way okay? She keeps imsisting that she’s lonely without me” She said 

“What about me? I’m not lonely?” Alora asked. 

“You have McKenzie,” Zhuri replied and Alora sighed sadly. 

“Fine,I will make it up to you” Zhuri ruffled her hair. 

“My lady,have you heard the rumor?” Alora asked. 

“What rumor?”

“I heard the woman the emperor would get married to will be here today” Alora said. 

“Huh?” Zhuri asked again. 

“The moon empire might be having their Empress soon” Alora said and Zhuri’s heart raced. 

“That’s not true,you said it’s a rumor” She immediately said. 

“I wish it’s not,but I don’t know” Alora sighed. 

“But then its been days,you haven’t heard from him yet?” 

Zhuri shook her head. 

It’s even worse because she haven’t even set her eyes on him for about five days now,she only get to have fun with Sabrina,they do things together,the last few days have been fun and also sad,all tovether. 

“That is bad” Alora muttered. 

Zhuri sighed inwardly still wondering if what Alora said is true.

••NOON••

A palanquin entered the palace and immediately everyone’s attention were on it,the rumor already spread so everyone’s been anticipation. 

Soon the palanquin stopped and Ryleigh came out,she smiled brightly as the rich Breeze of the palace hit her body. Blowing her long hair all over her face.

Everyone started bowimg as she walked with the guards behind her. 

She saw Ximena standing with Neriah,she was looking at Ryleigh angrily. 

“Lady Ximena!” Raleigh called and walked over to her. 

“It’s so nice to meet you Lady Ximena” She smiled 

Ximena also faked a smile. 

“You’re welcome to the palace,I’m sure you will enjoy your stay here” Ximena said. 

“I’m looking forward to that” Ryleigh nodded with a smiley face. 

“My lady,please this way” The guards said,leading her toward the throne room. 

“Oh…okay” Ryleigh smiled at Ximena one last time before following the guards. 

“Seriously,she’s so arrogant” Neriah scoffed. 

Ximena fold her fist angrily,she turned toward her suite and stormed away angrily,Neriah ran after her instantly.

••STOREROOM••

Zhuri was busy working when Alora rushed in,breathing heavily. 

“My lady!” She called and Zhuri turned back. 

“What happened?”

“She’s here my lady,the Emperor’s woman,she’s meeting the emperor in the throne room with the ministers” Alora said. 

Immediately without thinking twice,Zhuri dropped what’s in her hand and ran out of the storeroom,she began running toward the throne room. 

Few distance to the throne room,she saw the emperor and then the strange woman walking over to him with smiles on her face. 

“No……no….” Zhuri stuttered,watching them now walking beside each other almost made her heart burst,she didn’t even know when the Deity appeared beside her. 

“Zhuri” She called and Zhuri turned. 

“Old one…..he’s not going to make her his….right?” She asked. 

“Don’t cry” The Deity said,seeing Zhuri’s eyes already. 

“You’ve been crying so much these days,before we started this,I told you I won’t force you,I said you have the right to choose if you still want to go on or not,these are just part of the obstacles I talked about. That’s why I’m here again,you can choose for yourself again like the beginning. Would you give up………”

“Never!!” Zhuri cried out. 

“I can’t…..I’ve suffered way too much to think of ever giving up old one,I really passed through alot. I know in his eyes,I’m just a slave,but old one,you said it yourself and he’s my destiny and I am here for a reason. I’m going to make him mine,I’m really done laying low and thinking low of myself,He’s going to be mine,give me another chance old one” Zhuri said. 

The Deity smiled. 

“I’m always here anytime you want me” she said and Zhuri nodded,she watched the Deity vanish and then she wiped her tears. 

She walked away after that,she met Alora on her way. 

“My lady! I was looking for you” Alora said. 

“I’m fine” Zhuri muttered.

••EVENING, RYLEIGH’S SUITE••

Ryleigh watched from where she was sitting down as the maids put everything in order,her things were arranged neatly. Asher was also in there,leaning on the wall as ordered by the emperor. 

Ryleigh sighed out loudly,since she arrived,it’s been one meeting to another. She didn’t even spend a single moment with the emperor alone,they haven’t even gotten to talk. 

She wanted to spend some time with him alone,that’s all she wanted at that moment. 

“My lady,your dinner will be ready soon and we will be back” The maids said and bowed before leaving. 

Ryleigh looked at Asher who haven’t moved. 

“Did his majesty asked you to stay with me till this moment?” She asked. 

“Until you tell me to leave,,so please can I go?” Asher asked coldly and Ryleigh raised her brows. 

“You sound rude somehow” She smiled and Asher rolled his eyes. 

Ryleigh stood up and crossed her arms. 

“You must be tired,you’ve been standing all day.it’s all my fault,I’m sorry” She said and Asher’s cold eyes warmed. 

She let out her charming smile. 

“So,you can go now. Tell his majesty I appreciate his hospitality,and to you,thank you” She said. 

“Goodnight” Asher bowed and walked out of the suite. 

Ryleigh groaned tiredly and began to undress,after that she went into the bathroom.

••ROYAL CHAMBER••

“The emperor said no one should be allowed it” The guard standing by the door told Zhuri. 

“It’s very important I see him,please” She pleaded.

“I’m sorry but I love my life,I can’t risk it…..”

“I will take responsibility” Zhuri cut in. 

“His majesty wouldn’t think that way,so please leave” The guard said 

“Let her in” Asher appeared and Zhuri immediately faced her. 

“But commander……”

“I will take responsibility” Asher cut him off. 

“Thank you” Zhuri said to Asher and he nodded. 

The door was opened for her and she immediately went in. 

Emperor Augustus was just leaving the lounge when Zhuri entered,he stopped and his eyes turned cold. 

“My Lord” Zhuri bowed. 

“What are you doing here?” The emperor asked. 

“I……..”

“Get out” He cut her straight up and turned toward the bedroom. 

Zhuri ran to his front and stopped him. 

“I said get lost!!!!” Emperor Augustus growled angrily. 

“If you’re too angry with me,if you hate me too much right now that you can’t even look at me,If you hate my presence so much then kill me!!” Zhuri shouted back.

The emperor raised his brows. 

“Why aren’t you doing anything? I’m asking you to kill me right now” Zhuri said. 

The emperor ignored her and tried passing the other side,Zhuri blocked him again. 

“I’m not done yet……”

The emperor’s eyes flashed and he almost grabbed her by the neck but he sighed out and surpressed his anger. 

“You didn’t tell me anything,you can’t suddenly detest me this much without a reason my Lord,you’re never going to make me hate you,because I know that’s what you’re trying to do,you want me to keep hating you but I can’t,even if I want to,I still can’t do it”

“So you think coming here will make things different?” He asked. 

“Then tell me what I did wrong,tell me why you’re glaring at me with those scary eyes,I’m ready to listen to you,I will never do anything to hurt you and you know that,I don’t know what you heard or know,but I’ve never for once hated you my Lord,never.  I was always happy just by looking at your fine face,I liked you too much that I never got the time to think about how you’ve punished me and hate you for that……so tell me….why do you hate me this much? Just why?” Zhuri asked with teary eyes. 

The emperor said nothing. 

“I’m ready to do anything,I don’t mind giving anything,just to make you look at me with your warm eyes once again,I never wanted to admit it but those moments with you are the best moments of my life,so tell me what to do,I don’t want you to hate me anymore” She said,Staring straight into his eyes,hers was dropping tears nonstop. 

It was silent for a while before the emperor spoke up. 

“I don’t hate you Zhuri” He groaned 

“You finally called my name again… But then,if you don’t hate me,why did you change? Your reactions toward me only scream hatred in my ears,it’s traumatizing” Zhuri said. 

“You should leave,Zhuri” The emperor muttered. 

“Why? Your woman will be coming here?” Zhuri asked. 

“That’s right” The emperor lied. 

“More reason why I’m going to stay” Zhuri said and he looked at her in shock. 

“What?”

“Because I’m having you all to myself tonight my lord” Zhuri Said,

“If I can’t be the protagonist at this moment,then I will become the Villain who the male protagonist can’t do without” She added leaving the Emperor dumbfounded.

“Your majesty,you haven’t said a word yet,is anything the problem?” 

“Zhuri” The emperor said with a sigh. 

“Zhuri?” The ministers asked with confusion written all over their faces. 

The Emperor looked at them and then stood up. 

“Let’s end it here” He said. 

“Yes your majesty” They bowed and watched him walked out of the courtroom. 

They all exchanged meaningful glances but they didn’t utter a word about it as they started going out one after the other.

Emperor Augustus appeared in the moon garden right in front of the tree and he almost couldn’t believe his eyes. 

He can’t even count the numbers of flowers on the tree even though it’s not full yet but still.

“How…how is this possible?” He stuttered

“Does the Devil get confused also?” The familiar voice asked beside him and he faced the deity who was also staring at the tree. 

“Only when you’re behind it” He replied and the Deity smiled. 

“I love how truthful you are” She said. 

“Why would I lie when i’ve got nothing to fear?” The emperor asked. 

“Are you that curious? The reason behind the sudden blooming?” The deity finally faced him directly. 

The emperor said nothing but their gazes never left each other. 

“It’s exactly what you’re thinking…..” The deity said and the emperor’s eyes turned dark.

“What are you talking about?” He asked. 

“I said it’s what you’re thinking……”

“Don’t tell me that!!!” The emperor yelled angrily. 

The deity scoffed and looked away from him. 

“You don’t have to be angry…..”

“I don’t have to be angry? You mean my revolution depends on a mere human?!! Not just human but a damn slave?! What the hell do you take me for?!” He yelled angrily. 

“You’re nothing but a devil who Is getting punished for a sin” The deity looked at him. 

“You’re a mere devil….mere” She repeated. 

The emperor’s eyes turned red and his claws draw out forcefully,his hair turned Grey and the atmosphere changed. 

“Mere?? Are you seriously using that word on me?” He asked. 

The deity smiled and just a look from her made him turn Back to normal. 

“At some point,you need to accept that I created you…….”

“I don’t care!!! I never asked you to create me!! It’s just one of your useless works!!!” Emperor Augustus snapped. 

The deity smiled and a sudden wind blew the emperor from his position,his back hit the tree and he fell on the ground,he spilled out blood. 

The deity appeared in front of him and he chuckled before getting up. 

“See?? Just one of your useless works like I said,you should know by now that I love it so much when you’re angry but good for you,you don’t even get angry. But if you’re so angry…just kill me” He said. 

“You think if I kill you,you’re still going to be useful for me?” The deity asked and he scoffed. 

“I will rather perish in hell than be useful for you” He said. 

“I didn’t know I created such a stubborn soul out here” The deity sighed. 

“Don’t lie,you know I was stubborn,right from the start” The emperor muttered. 

The injuries he sustained from the fall all covered up and he twisted his neck back and fort. 

“But sorry,you made a mistake about the human. Sorry to disappoint you,but I will never give in to whatever you’re trying to do,I refuse to depend on a nonsignificant human,I never wanted these damn flowers in the first place!! I prefer them dry and you know that” 

“But unfortunately,I make the rules…not you” The deity said. 

“Damn those silly rules of yours!!” The emperor shouted and turned to the tree,he raised his palms and they brought out fire,he directed it to the tree but the deity made the fire land inside the river surrounding the tree. 

The emperor glared at her. 

“That human is your destiny,she tried so hard softening that heart of yours,how ungrateful can you be?” 

“Ungrateful?” The emperor scoffed. 

“I honestly can’t even remember when I ever complained about the dryness…….”

“You stupid devil!! You’ve been depressed all your life!!! You were dying inwardly even tho you’re an immortal,you never smiled or showed affection to anyone! But because of her…you’re no longer……….”

“I want to remain depressed,I want to keep dying inwardly!!! I don’t want to smile or show affection to anyone!!! Why acting like you pity me when everything is because of you?!!! Stop acting this way,you’re making me too angry. I can’t do anything to you,but your human fate  or whatever you called her might have to suffer a lot” The emperor said coldly. 

“You can’t do anything to her” The deity said. 

“Wow,you must be thinking I’m in love with her or I have some kind of affection toward her,but sorry….my heart isn’t that easy to get easily. I’ve hated you for 500 years and I still do,so who the hell is that human? She’s just a slave to me and nothing else,a slave I will use until I’m tired of her,even if you’re going to bring a human,you should have made her at least someone noble,not a slave. Do you get??” The emperor walked away,leaving the deity. 

She sighed out and turned back to the tree. 

“I knew it will be hard convincing that devil” The second deity appeared. 

“Just shoot the arrow in his heart and make him fall in love with the human” The third deity also appeared. 

“No,I must punish him for all he said. He have to feel love and also the pain,he needs to fall down on his knees and cry ” The first deity said. 

“August wouldn’t do that,you know how he is. How about just take him away? He’s filled with rage right now,That human girl isn’t safe right now” The second deity said. 

“I won’t let him hurt her” The third deity said. 

“He can’t hurt her….he won’t have the courage to do so for now” The first deity said. 

“Look at those beautiful flowers” The second deity plucked one. 

“Hey!!” The first deity called and she smiled. 

“He doesn’t even want it” The second deity said and attached it to her hair. 

They all vanished at once.

••SABRINA’S SUITE••

Sabrina and Zhuri are busy having lunch together while conversing. 

“So you really slept beside my brother all through the night?” Sabrina asked and Zhuri nodded while picking the food with chopstick. 

“You’re not really good with chopsticks,why?” Sabrina asked. 

“I always used my hand to eat……” Zhuri already finished before she realized she was supposed to be a noble lady. She bite her lips. 

“Your hands? Why?” Sabrina laughed. 

“I just….love it” Zhuri mumbled. 

“Who the hell love eating with their hands? Just you Zhuri,you’re so cute” Sabrina laughed again. 

She took the chopstick from her and gave her spoon instead. 

“Thanks” Zhuri smiled.

“And..if Ximena ever try to bully you again,don’t hesitate to tell me,she really has no right to do it,she’s just a mistress” Sabrina scoffed. 

“But still….she’s his majesty’s woman” Zhuri muttered and Sabrina chuckled.

“Why does that sound like jealousy?” She asked. 

Zhuri’s eyes widened.

“That’s not it! I’m not jealous,I’m just saying” Zhuri denied. 

“Alright,you don’t have to explain. Eat more” Sabrina smiled.

••SERVANTS QUARTER••

McKenzie was walking beside Alora,they held hands while talking and laughing. 

“I still can’t get over Neriah’s expression when everything turned around. She never actually saw it coming” McKenzie said and they both laughed. 

“Seriously? Still talking about me?” Neriah stopped in front of them and crossed her arms. 

“Yeah sure because you were funny” Alora said and McKenzie laughed. 

“What exactly is funny?!! Just because every one supported you doesn’t stop the fact that you insulted the mistress?!” Neriah yelled. 

“So what are you gonna do? You wanna beat her?” McKenzie asked. 

“I guess the strokes she was gifted turned her sense upside down,she sound crazy doesn’t she?” Alpra asked. 

“Whoa,you have such a sharp brain,why do you notice people so fast? Looking at her,she’s running mad,let’s go” McKenzie grabbed Alora’s hand and they walked away,pushing Neriah out of they way. 

“I hate you!!!” Neriah screamed. 

Gael and other guards were watching them from afar but Eden wouldn’t look away. 

“Why does she look so sexy even with that sassy attitude?” Eden asked. 

“Hey,don’t tell me you like that girl called Alora” about guard asked. 

“She’s everything” Eden smiled. 

Gael scoffed. 

“Everything indeed” 

“What,you sound jealous” Hunter grinned. 

“Are you crazy? Do you even know the definition of jealous?” Gael snapped. 

“No,I didn’t go to school” Hunter shook his head. 

“Then keep shut and focus on your guarding job before you loose it,that’s the end” Gael said and walked away. 

Hunter chuckled. 

“He’s the crazy one here” He muttered.

••NIGHT, ELPHABA’S PLACE••

“Now what do I do?! The bond was created,I’ve never seen the emperor sleep for so long since I started living in the palace,please help me. What do I do now?” Ximena asked. 

“Don’t do anything” Elphaba replied. 

“What do you mean by don’t do anything? You said it yourself that the emperor and that slave girl are….I don’t even want to imagine” Ximena shook her head. 

“The emperor himself would be the one to reject the fate,He’s the best person to do it,so don’t do anything and just wait” Elphaba said 

“He’s really going to reject?” Ximena asked. 

“I thought he got swayed…but I discovered he wasn’t.” Elphaba shook her head. 

Ximena gulped. 

“Does that mean,I still have chance to be with him?” She asked. 

“You have a huge chance right now my lady” Elphaba said and Ximena smiled.

Back in the palace,Asher was walking when suddenly a guard ran over to him. 

“Commander” he called. 

“What’s going on?” Asher immediately asked. 

“His majesty….is nowhere in the palace” The guard said and Asher’s eyes widened. 

“What?!” He shouted and ran off immediately. 

Zhuri heard that and she blinked. 

“His majesty is not in the palace?” She muttered worriedly and ran toward where Asher passed also.

••IN THE WOODS••

Countless dead wild animals are scattered all over the woods,it’s the emperor’s doings. 

He was sitting on the biggest tree in the woods,his face was covered with the blood of the animals he had torn alive,but still he wasn’t satisfied. He was trying so hard to control the rage,he wanted to kill humans but he was trying just too hard to stop himself. 

He was breathing so hardly,it only worsens anytime he remembers everything the deity said. 

His eyes were still hot red,his claws still so long and dripping with blood,and his hair were so white that it would be seen from afar compared to his black outfit. 

“Grrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!” His deep growls filled the air and the woods started shaking. 

The birds flew from the trees,the animals started running from one part of the woods to another. 

The emperor turned and his eyes caught a pack of wolves running through the woods. 

He vanished from the tree and appeared in their middle. 

They all growled and shifted back at once,within a blink of an eyeball,they were all on the ground,dead.

He was breathing so heavily but still the rage wouldn’t let go of him,he was too angry..TOO angry to control himself and the next thing his mind went to was….Zhuri. 

“Zhuri” He muttered. 

But just as he was about leaving,the deity appeared before him and hit his chest with a wooden arrow. 

The emperor’s red eyes shone even more brighter,filled with total anger. 

“Don’t try to stop me!!!” He growled.

“That’s enough” the deity said calmly. 

“You made me this way!!!! It was all your fault!! From the beginning!!” He shouted. 

The deity looked at him. 

“You will regret it” She said. 

“I won’t!! You know why? Because I’ve suffered enough also!! Why now? Why are you bringing a human now? What about all those years I was miserable? You think I will just give in to your faceless fate just like this? You should know me more than anyone else!”

“I already told you your fate,but it’s up to you to accept or not…”

“I’m rejecting it,totally. I will never have anything to do with that human” The emperor said. 

“I will give you more time,but you will regret it” The deity said. 

“Why are you worried that I might regret it? You said I’m a mere devil” The emperor said. 

“Isn’t it natural to be worried about my creature? Even if you are too dumb to realize I’m doing all these for your sake…..”

“Then you should have done it since all those years!!! But after five hundred years? This must be a joke,am I a joke to you? You want me to start smiling now? After five hundred years without one? If it’s that easy,why not try it and see If you would let everything go just because of a woman who wasn’t there from the start” The emperor said and vanished.

••PALACE FIELD••

Zhuri was walking to and fro,she was still waiting for the emperor to get back,the guards are still searching,some already left the palace while some remained. 

“My Lord.. Where are you?” She mumbled and bite her finger. 

The moment she turned again,there…the emperor standing right in front of her. He was now back to normal self,his eyes are back,his claws and hair are normal again but there are still some traces of blood on his face.

“My Lord!!” Zhuri called and ran over to him.

“What happened?! Your face!” She said worriedly and tried touching the blood. 

“Move if you love your life” The emperor muttered and Zhuri’s heart skipped a beat. 

“If you love your existence…you better don’t ever try to touch me again…do you understand?!” He yelled and Zhuri bowed. 

“Yes my Lord! I’m so sorry!” She apologized. 

“I see you don’t really know your place anymore as a slave,who do you think you are to worry about me?! Who!!”

“I’m sorry my lord!” Zhuri said,shaking. 

“Your majesty” Asher ran to the scene. 

The emperor started walking away. 

“Tell Ximena I summon her,right now” He said. 

“Yes your majesty” Asher bowed. 

Zhuri watched the emperor left and she fell on the ground,her body still shaking with fear and then..

Tears poured down her eyes.

••XIMENA’S SUITE••

Ximena was restless,she look so troubled,not after going to the emperor’s chamber. She knew the emperor was inside with Zhuri but she couldn’t hear a thing. 

Did they get intimate?? That would be bad according to Elphaba. 

“No” Ximena bite her lips and kept on pacing. 

The door opened and Neriah came in,Ximena quickly turned,expecting the next word from her. 

“My lady,Zhuri isn’t coming out of the Emperor’s chamber” Neriah reported,she has been watching secretly from afar waiting for when Zhuri would come out but nothing like that happened. 

“That witch is more crazier than I thought” Ximena muttered and sat down in front of her dressing table. 

“What should I do now my lady?” Neriah asked and Ximena looked at her. 

“You can go Neriah,I will handle this myself” She muttered. 

“Goodnight my lady” Neriah bowed and walked out of the suite. 

Ximena turned to the mirror,she started wiping the red lipstick on her lips,her hands were shaking while doing that,she was trying to control the anger but she just couldn’t. 

“Ahh!!!!!” She screamed and pushed off everything on the table. 

The door opened again and Neriah rushed in. 

“My lady!!” She called. 

“Get out!! I want to be alone!!” Ximena yelled at her.

“My lady please take it easy…”

“I said get out!!” Ximena shouted. 

Neriah immediately ran out just like when coming in. 

“Zhuri………you’re really going to regret this” Ximena said in a threatening voice.

••EMPEROR’S CHAMBER••

The room was still hot,the tension was still screaming,the breaths still getting exchanged. 

Even after minutes since the first throat,

The emperor was bent on getting every inch of her,every sweetness of his slave. 

She was tight,wet and sweet. Their sweats get joined in the case. 

“Ooh”  Zhuri moaned,her eyes on widely opened together with her mouth but the word stopped there,she just couldn’t continue when the pleasure was too much to handle. 

The emperor grunt,diving deeper inside her with her legs raised in the air,giving him every chance to hit the right spot. 

He held the soft cheeks of her bottom and went in even more deeply,in a faster pace. Probing a fast repetitive rhythm,which made Zhuri scream out right from her throat,he was so big and he was full inside her. Sexing every little mole and hole inside her. 

“My lord!!!” Zhuri screamed,grabbing his shoulder. He was reckless,savage,than how he ever was,shackling his raging lust within. 

Zhuri threw her head to the back,still holding into him tightly. 

The emperor slides inside her twice again in a slow motion before spilling his seeds within her. 

They both exhaled out loudly at the same time before,the emperor’s head fell on Zhuri’s chest and she gulped,she was breathing heavily to gain her normal sense back,she could feel the sweetness and pains in between her legs,he was just too much on her tonight,she she enjoyed it more than anyone they’ve ever done. 

After few seconds,the emperor fell right beside her on the bed but his head still on her chest. 

The rain suddenly started falling at that moment,hitting the roof loudly. 

“My lord” Zhuri called. 

“Don’t go anywhere” Emperor Augustus said instantly and Zhuri’s eyes lit up. 

Does that mean….He’s allowing her sleep over in his chamber? On hus bed? Is that it?!! 

“Sleep beside me,throughout the night” The emperor added in a mutter. 

“I will do that my lord” Zhuri said. 

The emperor’s brows knitted and in few seconds,his eyes went shut,he slept. 

Zhuri smiled,staring at him being cute in his sleep again. 

She was tempted to stroke his hair and she didn’t even try not to,she shoved her fingers into his long thick hair and started stroking. 

“Cute” Zhuri mumbled. 

She continue doing that till her eyes also went closed,falling into a deep sleep.

••PALACE LIBRARY••

“Gosh,when will this stop?” Sabrina groaned as she checked the window again,the rain was still falling endlessly. 

She was there before the rain started and she wasn’t even sure anyone knows about her absence in her suite,her maids possibly retired for the night already. 

Her mind went to Gael. 

“That kid is always useless during times like this” She scoffed. 

At that moment,the door opened and someone came in,holding a lamp. 

“Gael?” Sabrina immediately called. 

The person said nothing and continue walking closer to her. 

“Who are you?” Sabrina asked. 

“It’s me princess” Asher answered,raising the lamp up so she would see his face. 

“You scared me” Sabrina muttered. 

“I will take you to your room,I came with an umbrella” Asher said. 

“Thank you” Sabrina said and like that they both left the library. 

It was so quiet and awkward,Sabrina decided to start up a conversation. 

“How did you find out I was there?” She questiomed. 

“I was walking at the back of the library when you opened the door and complained about the rain,so I guess you didn’t have any umbrella with you” Asher replied and Sabrina smiled. 

“That’s so thoughtful of you,thanks” She said. 

“It’s nothing” Asher muttered. 

“Still,thank you. I wouldn’t have a choice than to enter the rain,but then my cold can be crazy,I might just fall sick,so you saved me” Sabrina said and Came in front when they arrived at her suite. 

“Goodnight” She smiled. 

“Goodnight Princess” Asher bowed. 

“I will prefer Sabrina though” Sabrina muttered and without waiting for his response,she went in and closed the door. 

Asher turned and walked away also.

Alora was walking along the passageway alone when suddenly someone ran after her. 

“Ahh!!!” She screamed in fear. 

“Hey,I’m not here to bite” Eden said,finally walking beside her. 

“You scared me!” Alora snapped. 

“I’m sorry” Eden smiled. 

She rolled her eyes and continue walking. 

“I’m…Eden” 

“Nice name” Alora mumbled. 

“Thanks Alora” Eden smiled. 

“How…did you know my name?” She faced him immediately. 

“Everyone knows your name already” Eden said. 

“Everyone? Why?” Alora’s eyes widened. 

“Of course,you’re popular now. The pretty crazy girl in the palace” Eden smiled and Alora bite her lips. 

“I’m not really that crazy” She sighed. 

“I like crazy girls tho” Eden said and Alora looked at her. 

Gael was hiding behind a pillar behind them,he wanted to go talk to Alora first but Eden was more faster,so he had to hide. 

“He likes Crazy girls? Such a joke” He scoffed and walked away.

••NEXT DAY, EMPEROR’S CHAMBER••

Outside the chamber was full,guards,Eunuchs and maids standing. 

It’s almost noon and still the emperor wasn’t awake,it has never happened throughout his years of reign,it was so weird and worrying. 

Is the emperor really still sleeping by this time of the day. 

Everyone was there waiting for the emperor to approve their entering but nothing like his voice came up,it was all quiet and peaceful inside. 

“Are you really sure his Majesty is inside his chamber? It doesn’t seem like it at all” One of the eunuchs faced Asher. 

“I’m very sure,he didn’t step out of his chamber last night,it was raining throughout and I was watching closely” Asher answered,but then suddenly wondered if the emperor would sneak out,that’s not even thinkable it possible,so what’s going on? 

Gael came over and stood beside Asher. 

“Zhuri is not anywhere around either” He whispered to Asher and his eyes gleamed. 

That only means one thing,the emperor is inside with Zhuri. 

“What’s going on here?” Ximena appeared with her maids behind her,everyone quickly shifted sideways and bowed. 

“I asked a question” She said. 

“His majesty is still sleeping inside lady Ximena” One of the eunuchs answered. 

“What?!” Ximena frowned. 

She have never heard of that,never. The emperor sleeping till this time? 

“Asher,announce my arrival” She said. 

“Your majesty,Lady Ximena is here!!” He announced as instructed and everyone waited for the emperor’s response but it was all the same. 

Ximena scoffed out loudly. 

‘Zhuri’ she thought. 

Inside the chamber,Zhuri was staring at the emperor’s face,she was so nervous and scared at the same time. She could hear everything going on outside but she wouldn’t dare try to wake him but when he’s not even making any attempt to open his eyes. 

She bite her finger and started praying inwardly,something to wake him up. 

“Why are you disturbing me with your loud thinking?” The emperor asked and opened her eyes. 

“My lord,you’re awake,finally” Zhuri muttered. 

“Finally? What do you mean?” The emperor asked and looked around,he could see the reflection of the sun. 

“It’s….noon already my Lord” Zhuri mumbled. 

“Noon?!” Emperor Augustus exclaimed and Zhuri nodded. 

“I’m sorry I didn’t wake you up” She said. 

Zhuri was apologizing but in the emperor’s mind,he was asking questions. 

What’s going on? How did he Manage to sleep for so long? The same happens days ago….does that mean…Zhuri is the reason behind his sound sleep?? 

“My lord….”

“You can go Zhuri” He groaned. 

Zhuri bowed and immediately got down from the bed,she put on her uniform in a hurry and went out. 

The moment she opened the chamber main entrance door,everyone was shocked. 

Ximena glared. 

Zhuri ignored the long stares and walked off immediately,making sure her steps were fast enough,she was just too anxious with the way everyone was staring. 

🗣 Isn’t that the emperor’s slave??

🗣 She was with him all along? 

Ximena walked away and Asher rushed into the chamber,The emperor was just getting ready to enter the bathroom. 

“Your majesty” He bowed. 

The emperor replied with a single nod. 

“Your majesty,the ministers have been waiting for hours in the courtroom,you must have forgotten about the meeting” Asher said. 

“I guess” The emperor replied.

Zhuri was still walking to her room,but at the same time thinking about what just happened,does this mean that….this never happened before??

She was still thinking when she heard footsteps behind her making her turn. 

“My…lady” Zhuri bowed on seeing Ximena. 

“You spent the night in his Majesty’s bed??” She threw the question and Zhuri swallowed. 

How is she supposed to answer that?? She once heard even the mistress never got the chance to sleep through the night. 

“Answer me!!” Ximena shouted. 

“I’m sorry my lady,it was his Majesty who insisted I stayed” Zhuri said in fear. 

“How dare you!!!” Ximena yelled and raised her hand to slap her.

Someone hold her from the back and Zhuri looked up to see Sabrina. 

“What do you think you’re doing?” Ximena frowned at Sabrina. 

“I heard the emperor’s slave can’t be treated just anyhow except him,are you dumb or you just choose to disrespect his Majesty” Sabrina throw her hand away and Ximena gasped. 

“Let’s go Zhuri,I missed you yesterday,you’re such a bad friend” Sabrina grabbed Zhuri’s hand and left with her. 

“Friends?” Ximena scoffed,staring at them.

••HOURS LATER, COURT ROOM••

The meeting was still ongoing,the ministers have been talking none stop,giving different opinions and suggestions. 

Even though the meeting have been going on for almost two hours,the emperor haven’t uttered a word,he seems so lost and worried.

After the ministers were done,one of them direct his question to the emperor but he didn’t even hear. 

They all exchanged glances. 

“What’s wrong with his Majesty? Did something happened?” 

“I really have no idea,do you think he’s sick? He slept way too long” 

“Your majesty” One of them called. 

“Your majesty” They Called again. 

Emperor Augustus looked up. 

“Your majesty,you haven’t said a word yet,is anything the problem?” 

“Zhuri” The emperor said out and a sigh. 

“Zhuri?” The ministers asked with confusion written all over their faces.
