**STILL SAME NIGHT – SPARTACUS’ LAIR**

….Spartacus turned around immediately and pointed a gun at her. On seeing that, she raised her hands up shivering infear

”pLease I’m Sorry, Please don’t shoot me please” Natasha pleaded but Spartacuswas still pointing the gun at her

” Please, I’m begging you, don’t kill me please” Natasha pleaded in much more fear and Spartacus brought down the gun

”What are you doing outside here?” Spartacus asked Natasha who exhaled heavily and brought down her hands

”Nothing” Natasha said

”Don’t you remove that mask even by night fall?” Natasha asked immediately before Spartacus could saying anything further and Spartacus looked at her but didn’t reply. He continued starring at the stars and Natasha walked very close to him relaxing her elbows on the iron bars following his eyes towards the stars.

”Why haven’t you killed me or taken me back to Chief Williams?? Why are you being this hospitable. Since I came here you haven’t touched me” Natasha said not bothering what might happen to her but Spartacus still didn’t say anything.

”Don’t you talk anymore?” Natasha asked

”After I told you my story, you said you’ve got a change of plans.. What was it about?? Was it about me??” Natasha asked

”The weak are not supposed to be left in oppresion” Spartacus said not looking at her

”What do you mean?” Natasha asked

”You have been used ruthlessly because you are weak, I have to end that” Spartacus said and Natasha was surprised

”How.. Why??” Natasha asked

”I told Chief Williams that I couldn’t find you, so you are free from him” Spartacus said

”By morning you should leave here and go to any place of your choice outside this State” Spartacus said and concentrated on the stars. Natasha couldn’t smile or laugh as she was filled in Surprise

”I know you are joking right?” Natasha asked

”Spartacus does not joke” Spartacus said and Natasha hugged him immediately but he broke the hug by sliding out a knife immediately

”Don’t come any closer to me my dear, or you will leave me no choice” Spartacus said and Natasha drew back

”If you are as kind as this and fighting for the weak, why then do you kill people and kidnap people?” Natasha asked and Spartacus looked at her deeply in silence but said nothing.

”Those stars, why are you starring at them since I was here” Natasha asked

”Those stars are my life, different sizes from big to small” Spartacus began and Natasha gave an attantive ear

”If you watch closely, those three big ones are dim in light but the small one is very bright” Spartacus said

”Why Is it so?” Natasha asked but Spartacus ignored her question

”Once, all the stars were glowing very bright, but now, one is left alone” Spartacus said and Natasha being intelligent grabbed the words of Spartacus

”You mean you lost your family just like I did?” Natasha asked

”Likely in a harsh manner” Spartacus replied

”So, that’s why you saved me” Natasha said to herself

”Life can really turn people into what they never want to be” Natasha said and stood in silence

”go in, pack your bag, sleep and get ready to leave this premises tomorrow morning” Spartacus said but Natasha still stood there

”I said Leave now!” Spartacus barked at her and she ran inside immediately

”I miss you all…” Spartacus said looking at the stars and he went inside also.

THE NEXT MORNING

”Make sure you never come back to this city ever or Chief Williams will kill you” Spartacus said walking behind Natasha on the staircase.

”Thank You Sir. I really appreciate this Sir” Natasha said and opened the door. Spartacus nodded his head at her and she left… Immediately she left, Spartacus unmasked himself and his eyes were red and anger and tears..

LATER THAT DAY

”Bella my dear, I’m so happy” Cynthia said happily to Bella her friend who sat beside her on the couch in Cynthia’s house

”Seriously, babe, what’s the secret..? You haven’t been this happy for weeks now” Bella said

”My dear, My dad has agreed to leave Country and everything” Cynthia said

”You mean, he wants to leave his political career and go to the states with your mother?” Bella asked looking disappointed

”Yes Of Course” Cynthia said breaking her smiles a bit

”Why?” Bella asked

”You won’t understand my dear.. It’s complicated.. Abeg, let’s talk about better things jhoor.. Today I am very happy” Cynthis said jumping up and down on the couch happily

”I’m also happy for you my dear” Bella pretended so as not to cause any Friendly noise around the buildin and they drank their wine chatting with smiles and laughter…

CHIEF WILLIAM’S RESIDENCE

Chief Williams was seen walking around his compound with his phone on his ears speaking with someone that seemed very important from the way he was answering the call.. Few minutes later, a car horn was heard from the outside and Alhaji, his gateman ran to Open the gate. Chief Williams looked towards the gate still answering the call to see who it was. On seeing that it was Prof. Mich’s car, he quickly hung up the call and stood still. Just then, Prof. Michael alighted form the car with two dark hefty tough looking men and a fair one who seemed not to be as huge as the other two..

”Are these the urchins I told you to get for me?” Chief Williams asked even before Prof. Michael could exchange pleasantries with him

”Yes, they are the best” Prof. Michael said

”How sure are you?” Chief Williams asked

”Huh?? Chief, are you now doubting my capabilities?” Prof. Mich asked rhetorically

”No.. I’m certainly not, just to know if they can be trusted” Chief Williams said and looked at the men

”Hey, what are your names?” Chief Williams asked

”Patronizer Sir” The first dark one said

”Hmmm.. You?” Chief Williams asked the second one

”Killer bean Sir” He answered and Chief Williams starred at him

”And you?” He turned to the fair guy

”Sir Whyte Sir” The fair guy said and Chief Williams nodded his head

”Fully armed?” He asked Prof. Michael

”Yes Chief..” Prof. Michael replied and escorted the guys inside

”If it’s not enough, I’ll get more ammunitions for them” Chief Williams said and continued his call..

Few minutes later, Prof. Michael came back outside and looked at Chief Williams

”Why the eyes?” Chief Williams asked

”You do not look bright” Prof. Michael said

”Yes of course, that’s because my enemy is trying to escape my net” Chief Williams said

”And who is that?” Prof. Michael asked

”Chief Wilson.. I learnt he is planning to fly back to the States in few days time” Chief Williams said

”Then act immediately Chief.. Act!!” Prof. Michael said to him

”I am beginning to loose trust on Spartacus these days” Chief Williams added and Prof. Michael was shocked

”Why?” He asked

”I just don’t know.. Just a feeling” Chief Williams said

”Better drop those feelings Chief and defeat your enemies” Prof. Michael said, flinged his car keys and drove off.

”Sir Whyte!!!” Chief Williams called out and Sir Whyte ran out immediately

”Get me something cold” Chief Williams said and sat under the fancy tree where he was.

LINDA’S OFFICE

”See, Stephen, I don’t know what went wrong with me last week but please I’m sorry” Linda pleaded to Stephen her colleague as they walked down the Passage of their Office

”And you think I’ll accept that?” Stephen asked

”Of course Yes” Linda said

”Then you must be a joker.. Trying to make me loose a huge sum of money for nothing I know about” Stephen said and hissed walking faster than her

”Stephen.. Stephen.. ” She called out but he didn’t reply so she walked to her Office and sat down immediately.. On sitting down, her phone got a text

”See me during break hours” Stephen said and Linda was surprised at the text..

*BREAK HOURS

”Good day” Linda greeted walking majestically into Stephens’ office.

”I guess it’s been long I’ve come in here, some things don’t look same” Linda said

”That’s because you don’t care” Stephen said

”Huh?? How?” Linda asked

”You see Linda, despite the fact that I’m your colleague, I am your Boss but you don’t acknowledge that” Stephen began

”Of course I do.. I respect you very well” Linda said

”No.. Linda, you respect me but you don’t respect my feelings” Stephen said

”But I have apologised on that which you refused to listen” Linda said

”Not about that Linda.. My feelings for you, I have been trying to draw you close to me but you have been draw far awaying from me Linda” Stephen said

”How do you mean?” Linda asked

”Just spend a little time with me Linda and I will drop this case. I know this case concerns you that’s why you are behaving strangely these days. Just accept me and I’ll drop it Linda.. Please” Stephen said

”Is that a Love Confession or a Love threat?” Linda asked

”Whatever you call it Linda. I Love you” Stephen said

”And this is why you called me here right?” Linda asked

”Exactly” Stephen said and walked close to Linda chair trying to touch her

”I know you feel same for me, please don’t hide it” Stephen said bringing down his head

”Get your filthy hands off me before I scream now!” Linda said angrily standing up from the chair to Stephen’s surprise..

”What do you take me for? You think I’m those cheap girls you can make your Sex mate or bed mate?” Linda barked at him

**AT THE CONFERENCE HALL**

Everybody sat still talking abouth the death of Chief Ali. Chief Ali’s wife sat also still in pains of her husband’s death and revenge in her eyes. The hall was a bit noisy. Police Officers stood at various edges of the hall.. Chief Williams and his wife sat also but didn’t say anything. Just then President Donatus walked in and everywhere became silent as they all stood up to greet

”This day is a very sad one for all of Us here” President Donatus said standing up.

”I am not going to rephrase the story neither will I say what happened because we all know that we have lost another pillar in this country” President Donatus said and raised up his head a little

”Politics is supposed to be a peaceful ground where people are their brother’s keepers but it’s now a battle field” President Donatus said and shook his head

”This nonsense won’t continue. We will pin down the culprit of this!” President Donatus said

”Yes! That’s it!” They all agreed but Chief Williams looked at them all not saying anything

”Now Chief Williams” President Donatus called and sat down

”We all know you and Chief Ali had a serious problem which almost led to a fight.” President Donatus said

”What is you say in this” He asked Chief Williams

”And what are you trying to insinuate your excellency” Chief Williams argied standing up immediately

”That I killed him or what?” He asked rhetorically

”You killed my husband Chief Williams” Mrs. Ali said in tears

”Listen woman I didn’t kill anybody” Chief Williams defended himself

”As a matter of fact, Chief Ali sent his men and shot at my thug and my househelp. As if that wasn’t enough, he sent his thugs at me twice to kill me” Chief Williams said angrily

”And how sure are you that he was the one?” President Donatus asked

”This is not a law court your Excellency. I didn’t kill him and that’s final!” Chief Williams said hitting his hands on the table

”You can’t deny it Chief Williams. We shall meet at the law court because the police is seriously investigating this matter” President Donatus said

”You are a killer and you will pay for it” Chief Muhammed a friend to Chief Ali said adjusting his agbada directly looking into Chief Williams eyes

”I bet you all will regret this statements of yours after the court room!” Chief Williams said and looked at his wife

”Let’s get out of here” He said to her and Mrs. Williams hissed at all of them following her hisband

”Chief Williams!” Mrs. Ali called out and he looked at her but she said nothing. Chief Williams turned around and left the arena and everyone began to murmur again

”We better settle this matter amicably, he might not be the one so as not to cause another problem” Chief Mustaphar, another prior member of the conference said but no one replied or reacted to his statement. Soon enough, the hall began to be empty as they left gradually..

”These people are daring me!” Chief Williams said as he entered his house with his wife

”But honey did you kill him?” Mrs. Williams asked

”Why shouldn’t I.. Or do you want him to kill me first?” Chief Williams said to his wife who fully supported it.

”How then are you going to deny this in court now even the President is involved” Mrs. Williams asked

”Leave me to think woman” Chief Williams said

”I don’t want my name to be on the television as the wife of a murderer, better think fast” Mrs. Williams said and went upstairs. Chief Williams paid deaf ears to her last statement looking very worried. Just then, One bullet and Spark entered

”Boss, you look worried, tell us what it is and let’s handle it Boss” One bullet said looking serious but Chief Williams looked at them

”Boss, your face no carry signal. Roger the matter make we handle am nah” Spark said but Chief Williams smiled

”Don’t worry my boys. I will handle it my way” Chief Williams said and dismissed them..

”Guy, I no tell you” Spark said touching One bullet as the went out

”Wetin?” One Bullet asked

”I tell you say Oga wan use style take replace us but you no dey hear am” Spark said

”Guy, I don dey reason that thing ooh. But I no sure say he go dismiss us out nah” One bullet said looking worried as he flung his gun on the table outside

”We better know wetin go happen next ooh.. Make we feel this new guy wey oga take drop us ooh.. Before e go too late” Spark said

”I dey feel your talk guy. Make water no enter garri” One bullet reasoned his words

”Na so I dey talk my own ooh.. Because me go kill that maga wey oga wan take delete us ooh” Spark said and hissed

”Guy, make I go pour out my sorrow for first house” Spark said

”Idiot, na first house go make oga leave you here abi.. Mugu” One bullet said

”I no send jhoor.. Monica don dey call me since” Spark said and placed his gun in his waist

”Useless man.. Dey go jhoor” One bullet said and Spark left…

AT NIGHT SAME DAY

Chief Williams was busy sleeping and dreaming good dreams. His slow and warm rotation on the bed shows that nothing is bothering him at all. On the other hand, Mrs. William’s eye were widely open in thought. Although she laid down but she couldn’t sleep. As her thought became unbearable, she rose and sat on the bed looking at her husband who was sleeping deeply. She hissed and touched him

”Honey.. Honey please wake up” Mrs. Williams said with a frowned face. With sleepy eyes, Chief Williams yawned and raised his head

”Oooh!! What is it that can’t wait till morning” Chief Williams asked his wife

”Please wake up, we need to talk” Mrs. Williams said still frowning and Chief Williams dragged himself up

”Now, what is it?” Chief Williams asked

”I am still bothered what transpired today at the conference hall” Mrs. Williams said

”The court will nail us down and give us a bad name” She complained and Chief Williams looked at her

”Is that all?” He asked and Mrs. Williams was surprised at the question

”You don’t seem bothered at all honey” She said

”Why should I be bothered?” Chief Williams asked

”I have told you not to worry yourself, that I will take care of it. What else do you want me to say” Chief Williams said to her

”Please, if that’s all, kindly go and sleep… Good Night” Chief Williams said and laid down immediately

”So that’s all you have to say eeh.. I don’t want anything that will tarnish my name ooh.. Or else, I will just hand you over standing as a witness against you” Mrs. Williams said aloud but Chief Williams paid deaf ears to her. On seeing that her words were poured on a stone. She angrily laid down also and slept off…

**IN THE MORNING**

Chief Williams, Prof. Michael and Mrs. Williams were seen in the parlour. Their faces were not bright at all. Mrs. Williams and Prof. Michael sat down but Chief Williams stood up walking about

”Chief, please sit down” Prof. Michael said to Chief Williams who didn’t say any word

”This is just a minor matter Chief. I don’t see anything too harsh in this” Prof. Michael said and Chief Williams looked at him

”You don’t see anything harsh that I am being conspired against and my enemies wants me down?” Chief Williams asked in anger and Prof. Michael kept quiet

”Anger solves nothing, rather it adds to your pains.. What is it Chief?” The voice of Spartacus was heard from behind and Mrs. Williams became afraid seeing a dark guy with face covered with a mask. On hearing that Chief Williams smiled

”Some people thinks they can defeat a Lion in its den” Chief Williams said not looking at Spartacus

”They are planning a court case against me to bring me down but I can’t allow that happen” Chief Williams added and turned around looking at the Masky face of Spartacus

”I want you to delete all charges, make sure that court process do not hold! I don’t know how you will do it but, just make me win this case!” Chief Williams said without a smile on his face

”Don’t bother about your pay.. I will pay you richly” Chief Williams said and Spartacus exhaled

”Done!” He said and left

”Is that all?” Mrs. Williams asked

”How sure are you that he won’t fail?” Mrs. Williams asked again but nobody replied her

”Better be sure of this oo” Mrs. Williams added

”Shut up woman!!” Chief Williams barked at Mrs. Williams with an angry eye and Mrs. Williams stood up and left..

”Natasha!” Chief Williams called out

”Get me a glass of Red Wine” He ordered and sat down

”Ahmed, please open the gate” Cynthia said to her gateman walking out to enter her car

”Sorry Ma, but you can’t go out alone” A Police officer said standing in front of her

” Why?” Cynthia asked

”It’s an order Madam” The Officer added

” What useless order.. From who?” Cynthia asked becoming a bit furious

”Your Father Madam” The Officer said

”That’s nonsense.. Arrant nonsense!” Cynthia said

”Get out of my way, I’m going out” Cynthia ordered

”So sorry Ma, either we go with you or you won’t go anywhere Ma” The Officer said not looking at her and Cynthia brought out her phone immediately

”Hello Dad.. What nonsense harrassment is this” She asked on the phone

”The refuse me on going out” Cynthia added

”Yes my dear, I learnt that the situation in Nigerai now is very bad and I don’t want anything to happen to you my dear” Chief Wilson said

”But I can take care of myself” Cynthia said

”Yes I know all that. It makes no difference dear” Chief Wilson said

”We love you dear” Chief Wilson said and hung up the call

”Gosh! What the hell is all this” Cynthia asked herself and frustratingly entered the car

”Take me out of here” She said and two officers entered the car with her

”Sorry Ma, but you can’t go out alone” A Police officer said standing in front of her

” Why?” Cynthia asked

”It’s an order Madam” The Officer added

” What useless order.. From who?” Cynthia asked becoming a bit furious

”Your Father Madam” The Officer said

”That’s nonsense.. Arrant nonsense!” Cynthia said

”Get out of my way, I’m going out” Cynthia ordered

”So sorry Ma, either we go with you or you won’t go anywhere Ma” The Officer said not looking at her and Cynthia brought out her phone immediately

”Hello Dad.. What nonsense harrassment is this” She asked on the phone

”The refuse me on going out” Cynthia added

”Yes my dear, I learnt that the situation in Nigerai now is very bad and I don’t want anything to happen to you my dear” Chief Wilson said

”But I can take care of myself” Cynthia said

”Yes I know all that. It makes no difference dear” Chief Wilson said

”We love you dear” Chief Wilson said and hung up the call

”Gosh! What the hell is all this” Cynthia asked herself and frustratingly entered the car

”Take me out of here” She said and two officers entered the car with her

…..”What an insult!” Exclaimed Mrs. Williams as she angrily walked out of the Car and barged into her house. Chief Williams, still quiet walked passed her and sat down on the couch

”Why are you sitting down there saying nothing eeh!! After the hell of insults you and I received today.” Mrs. Williams yelled at her husband. On hearing the noise, Natasha rushed out

”Madam, is there any problem?” She politely and caringly asked

”Get out of my sight you slot!” Mrs. Williams barked at her and she bent down a bit and left but often looking back

”Chief, do something!” Mrs. Williams said to her husband

”You told me you are the one to be chosen but see what just happened back there.. Nonsense. Sit there and keep on drinking while others take over your post. Weakling!” She concluded and walked up the stair case in anger

”Natasha!!” She called as she walked up

”Get me a glass of red wine” She ordered not allowing Natasha to reply. Chief Williams was left alone in the parlour as he swinged his walking stick up and down, severally hitting it on the floor.

”Chief Ali!! Chief Ali!!” He called with a low voice on a smiling face

”You have touched the tiger by the tail” He concluded and picked up his phone to make a call.

”Don’t bother calling, I’m already here” The Voice of Spartacus startled Chief Williams

”What the hell…” Chief Williams exclaimed in shock

”You Devil.. How did you know I am about calling you” Chief Williams asked

”A man whose house is on fire only seek ways to quench it and not play cards” Spartacus spoke in parables

”And what does that mean?” Chief Williams asked Spartacus

”I don’t have much time to waste here Chief” Spartacus said folding his hands in front

”Now this time, what did you do to my boys?” Chief Williams asked

”Nothing at all.. No one saw me come in here” Spartacus said and Chief was more shocked

”Even my gate man?” He asked

”I see you wanted me here for an interview.. Good day Chief” Spartacus said and tried leaving

”No.. No.. No.. Please hold on” Chief said drawing back the attention of Spartacus

”Someone is interferring in my game. He wants to throw the Kings card. He wants to wine and dine in the den of Lions” Chief Williams said

”I need you to delete him” Chief Williams continued looking directly at the face of Spartacus

”1 Million dollars” Spartacus said standing still

”What?? I Million what?!” Chief Williams exclaimed at the payment Spartacus said

”Please, it’s too much, I will give you 500,000 dollars” Chief Williams contemplated with the payment

”Then go and do it yourself” Spartacus said and left

”Go to hell you buffon! Gosh, 1 Million dollars, for what?” Chief Williams asked himself and sat back on the couch. Immediately, he called Prof. Michael..

”Ahmed.. Ahmed..” Cynthia’s voice called out as she walked towards the gate

”Yes Madam” Ahmed answered and ran out to meet her

”Please, can you help me get something outside, I can’t walk out in this sun” She said

”Na em you dey beg Madam, I go do am madam” Ahmed said and Cynthia smiled

”Here..” She said handing over some money to him

”A bottle of water, the one’s inside are finished.. Please hurry” She said

”Yes Madam” Ahmed said bowing down and rushed out.

Few seconds after Ahmed left, Bella, Cynthia’s friend walked in

”Hey Babe.. How far nah” Bella shouted with a smiling face as she ran to hug Cynthia..

”Girl, I dey ooh” Cynthia replied

”You are really enjoying” Bella said looking around

”All these things just for you alone to enjoy” Bella added

”Stop that jhoor.. It’s God my dear” Cynthia said

”What about your parents?” Bella asked

”They travelled and won’t be coming back soon” Cynthia said and Bella smiled broadly

”This house won’t contain me ooh” Bella said happily and ran in. Cynthia followed her, laughing at her funny behaviour and movement..

”Professor, I don’t think you are understanding what I am saying” Chief Williams who sat opposite Prof. Michael said as Prof. Michael starred at him

”I said I need another Assassin” Chief Williams said

”Why?” Prof. Michael asked

”He charges a lot.. Not that I can’t afford it but he is too greedy. 1 Million dollars for just one person” Chief Williams said and hissed

”You better pay that money and save yourself the stress. Mind you, Chief Ali might also be planning against your life, so he is doing two jobs. These weaklings you call thugs can’t protect you” Prof. Michael said and Chief Williams saw sense in what he was saying and they both starred at each other..

”You better start calling him, the earlier the better” Prof. Michael said

”Only Fools risks their lives quest of protecting their money” The Voice of Spartacus sounded again from the door and Chief Williams dropped the phone he already placed on his ears. Prof. Michael smiled at him…

….”Better tell me you brought me a wizard as an assassin” Chief Williams said looking at Prof. Michael who was still smiling

”I will pay you the money but you’ll also have to protect me from his own attacks” Chief Williams bargained with Spartacus

”Good deal” Spartacus said and folded his arms

”I will make out an accomodation fro you here, you will be following me about till the job is done” Chief Williams added

”I ain’t no cheap thug as you think old man. I don’t live in houses neither do I follow people about. All you need is Protection, I will give it to you” Spartacus said with a very slow deep voice

”How then can you protect me if you are not close to me” Chief Williams asked

”Trust him Chief, I don’t like the way you doubt the prowess of this young man” Prof. Michael said and Chief Williams looked at him but before he could turn to look at Spartacus, he has already left. Turning again to look at Prof. Michael, he saw Prof. Michael already sipping from the wine cup looking relaxed

”I don’t know why you feel so relaxed” Chief Williams said to Prof. Michael

”Why shouldn’t I.. You better do too” Prof. Michael said and stood up

”I need to be on my way now, I have some things to pile up at home” Prof. Michael added and left smiling at Chief Williams.

”I pray it works” Chief Williams said and exhaled

”Appearing and Disappearing all the time” He added and stood up to walk into his bed room..

*AT THE PRESIDENT’S RESIDENCE**

President Donatius was seen walking to and fro his sitting room with a wine cup dressed in an all white robe. Soon enough, he sat down and sipped from the cup.

”I have only gone through one tenure and wants to get down?” He asked himself

”I couldn’t even beat the 5th in follow up scores” He said to himself again

”I don’t want to leave her now.. I will have a second tenure” He added in his mind

”I am the leader. I am the President.. I can do anything I wish to secure my second tenure” He added

”I will dismiss all contests and base my fact on the crisis that transpired between Chief Ali and Chief Williams..” He continued

”I must have a second tenure!” He concluded in his heart and smiled a bit looking at the television..

**THE DISCO HALL**

Loud music was heard as the DJ covered everywhere with wonderful songs. Boys and Girls of age were seen at different corners talkin, chatting and laughing. Others were inside dancing. Bella and Cynthia sat on one of the tables sited behind the pool.

”I kinda love this place” Cynthia said

”I told you, you’ll like it” Bella replied with smiles

”But wait ooh, babe, how did you come about knowing this place?” Cynthia asked

”Ahhahh.. Campus babes no go relax mind” Bella replied with a question

”So this is what you do in school, eeh. Instead of you to study you will be peeping around night clubs” Cynthia joking said and they laughed

”Girl, look behind you” Bella said to Cynthia strategically pointing at a guy who has been starring at them since they came

”Ignore him dear..” Cynthia said and the boy stood up and walked up towards them

”He is coming this way” Bella lowly said

”Behave as if you haven’t seen him” Cynthia said and they concentrated on their food

”Hey girls, I can see you are having fun” The boy said holding a bottle of beer in his hand

”Yea.. As you can see” They both said raising up their heads

”Errhhmm.. Hope you don’t mind me joining you” He requested

”You can” Bella said already admiring the boy

”So, what are your names?” He asked

”Bella” Bella said but Cynthia kept quiet

”Yours dear” The boy said looking at Cynthia waiting for a reply

”I don’t talk to strangers” Cynthia replied and dropped her spoon

”Alright.. Sorry dear. But why not you allow me show you I’m not a stranger. Let me make your night glow” The boy said but Cynthia starred at him

”Thank you Very Much, but I’m not interested” Cynthia said

”Cynthia..” Bella called out

”What?” Cynthia asked

”Sorry Bros, she is just shy” Bella said to the boy but he stood up and left

”You see, you have chased him away” Bella said

”And so..;” Cynthia asked

”Babe, you need to have fun. Enjoy yourself now your parents are away” Bella said to Cynthia who mopped at her

”Stop this your attittude and enjoy” Bella said and just then a guy walked by and Bella followed him

”Are you leaving me here?” Cynthia asked

”Enjoy yourself dear. Don’t bother to wait for me. You can go home” Bella said as she walked up the small stairs with the guy

”Gosh!! What nonsense” Cynthia said confused on what to do or what to say. She confusingly picked up her car keys and left the arena..

”Darling, hurry Up let’s go” Chief Williams voice was heard aloud from the staircase as his wife, Mrs Williams was still having her Manicure and Pedicure in her room

”I’ll be right there in minutes honey” She relied

”We are already late!” Chief Williams said again with a sober face looking tired of waiting. In Few Seconds, Mrs. Williams came out and walked down the staircase

”You are always in a hurry, the future First lady is supposed to dress well” She said and walk past Chief Williams who was just looking at her

”Let’s go now.. You are now standing there” Mrs. Williams said to Chief Williams and he slowly walked down the staircase

”Natasha! Natasha!” Mrs. Williams called out on the house keeper

”Madam” She replied

”Take care of the house” Mrs. Williams said and they left.

*AT THE FEDERAL CONFERENCE HALL, ABUJA*

Chiefs, Professors, men and women of great and honourable Calibre was seen sitted round a long table, at the head of the table was President Donatus, two heavy bodied men was standing behind him. The table was decorated with wine and drinks. They were all mumbling with each other as if they were hiding something from a third person.

”Good Morning Everybody” President Donatus said hitting his hands a bit on the table and everywhere was quiet

”As we all know, we have lost a great personnel from this table” President Donatus said pointing at the empty sit where Chief Mark normally sits

”Quite alright, we have mourned him, we have cried enough and have consoled the daughter who is the remaining of his family” President Donatus said and kept quiet for a moment. He took a bottled water, one of his body guards opened it for him and he drank a bit from it

”We will have to replace his position as we all know he was the leading participant in the Presidential Members selection in this house” President Donatus continued and a little noise aroused in the house

”Keep Quiet!” President Donatus shouted and everywhere became quiet again

”Chief Muhammed Ali had a follow up score after Chief Mark, so I guess he will be the…” President Donatus tried saying but Chief Williams interrupted

”That is a lie!” He yelled as he entered immediately despising the fact that he came late

”That can never happen as long as I’m here!” Chief Williams added and the house was divided into two. One part supporting Chief Williams and the other fighting against Chief Williams

”Order!” A Police man shouted and they became a bit quiet again.

”Chief Williams” President Donatus called

”Your Excellency” Chief Williams answered

”Despite the fact that you came late, you didn’t keep calm and sit down but you caused an unwanted scene her” President Donatus queried Chief Williams

”I’m sorry your Excellency” He apologised

”Good, now sit down” President Donatus said and he sat down along side his wife

”Now everyone listen” President Donatus began

”Chief Muhammed Ali has a follow up count with Chief Mark and so that awards him the right to step up to that position” President Donatus said and Chief Muhammed Ali stood up happily and saluted everybody trying to walk up to the seat

”With all due respect Your Excellency” Chief Williams said standing up

”My Follow up count is higher than that of Chief Muhammed Ali” Chief Williams said

”That’s a big lie” Chief Muhhamed Ali said ointing at the face of Chief Williams

”How dare you point that filthy finger at me” Chief Williams said angrily to Chief Muhammed

”And what will you do?” Chief Muhammed asked

”Quiet!!” President Donatus oredered but Chief Williams still stood while others sat down

”Chief Williams” President called him

”Your Excellency” He answered

”Chief Muhammed Ali placed a better Manifestoe, and made a more better candidate elect. He tops you with 2 elects” President Donatus said

”That is not true your Excellency. There was a Favouritism from the Judges table. Not to forget, his Chief Adviser and his Wife are among the Judging table” Chief Williams defended his speech

”And so what??!!” Chief Muhammed and his supporters barked at Chief Williams

”You Cheated!” Chief Williams barked back

”If so, why don’t you put your wife on the Judgung seat too” Mrs. Ali said to Chief Williams

”I will shut that your mouth if you dare talk to me in such manner again” Mrs. Williams said to Mrs. Ali

”And what will you and your stupid husband do if she does?” Chief Ali asked

”Don’t dare me Chief Ali” Chief Williams said and the house was divided again

”Quiet! I say Quiet!!” President Donatus tried calming them down, even the Poilice men tried but the riot was so much. President Donatus, not knowing what to do, picked up his files and left through th back door with his entourage..

”You must be stupid Williams!! What do you have?” Chief Ali bragged

”The Antelope the picks up the Lion for a Chase should be ready to be devoured” Chief Williams said back at him

”I am the Lion Williams! You can’t do anything to me.. Accept defeat and step down” Chief Ali yelled at Chief Williams who starred at him for some minutes

”We shall see who is the Lion and Who is the Antelope” Chief Williams said

”Honey, let’s go” Chief Williams said and left with his wife

”Useless old man.. Don’t go an rest. Come and take the seat of honour” Mrs. Ali said aloud and hissed

”I’m waiting for you Williams” Chief Ali said and sat down. Those supporting Chief Williams followed him and left while those supporting Chief Ali sat back with him and encouraged him, giving him more strenght…

Quietly, Chief Williams walked to his Car, Spark immediately opened it up and they drove out.
