“So where do we start?” I asked anxiously.

“Right here.” She replied setting up candles.

“Did this have to do with the flames igniting when I cried at a very tender age?” I asked and she nodded.

“Yes. And I need to let you know that there are still some bad witches out there. You need to be careful because they would be after you.” She said and I smiled.

“Mother I am not scared of them. You took down one at this age. I can take down two, I am still very young.” I said and she smiled.

“I am the happiest woman on Earth right now.” She said and I looked at her.

    “Really? Why?” I asked.

“You are calling me mother, I have always wanted to hear you call me mother for years.” She said emotionally and I smiled softly.

    “And the second?” I asked.

“Your enthusiasm to know more about Magic and witchcraft. You didn’t even freak out.” She said and I laughed.

“Maybe because I have been dealing with worse situations, like the hatred from my Dad, the death of my fiancee, and one lady trying to snatch my boyfriend away from me. I think this is all for the best.” I said and she looked happy as I spoke.

“I wish your father was here right now. It would have been perfect.” She said sadly and I held her hand.

“I know wherever he is, he is proud of you mother. You should be happy because I am happy.” I said and she nodded smiling.

“And when did you plan on introducing me into the family reunion?” Kel asked interrupting us.

    “What of Christian?” Bennett asked.

“I knocked him out. Not him, the Enzo him.” He said and I sighed.

“We need to get this misery solved already. It’s still like Christian isn’t in there. He is struggling for dominance right on his own body. It’s not done.” I said and they nodded.

“So let’s get the witchcraft out of you.” Kel said happily and it actually sounded like fun.

“Okay. Now this is what you do. You shut your eyes to pay rapt attention, you are a learner so for now your eyes has to be shut when casting a spell.” She explained and I nodded.

“Got it. So what do I say?” I asked and she laughed.

“Okay, shut your eyes, try to stay calm, think about someone you love the most, then say “Insandia.” She said and I nodded.

I shut my eyes, breathing out loud and I began to think of Kel.

“Insandia.” I said but nothing happened. I opened my eyes feeling a little disappointed.

“Don’t be disappointed Sandra. Things like this takes time.” She said and I nodded.

“Let’s do it again.” I said and she nodded.

“Go deeper this time. Shun other wavering thoughts and think of someone or something that would trigger your feelings.” She said.

I shut my eyes again, and thought about the time I had sex with Kel. That has been the best moment of my life.

“Insandia!” I said and I heard the ignition of flames.

I opened my eyes Happily as I saw all the candles in the house were lit.

“Wow, that was so good.” Mother said.

“That was amazing!” Kel said and I laughed.

“Thank you.” I said staring at my hands.

“So who did you think of? Or what did you think of?” She asked and I looked at Kel shyly.

“Oh so you thought about me?” He asked Happily.

“Not only about you,but when we had sex.” I said within gritted teeth and his eyes widened.

“That is a one great to ignite a candle.” Mother said and we laughed.

“You can keep doing that, till you don’t  need to think about anyone to light a candle.” She said and I nodded.

“Of course. Don’t you think i should try it on Enzo? Maybe I could light his head up.” I said angrily and mother laughed.

“You wouldn’t do that because it doesn’t work like that. And if you light him, you light Christian, so let’s take it slow.” She said and I nodded smiling.

We headed out of the room and then I stopped and shut my eyes.

“Insandia!” I said and the fire in the firehouse came on immediately and they turned to look at me.

“You need to start getting used to it.” I said grinning.

I stood in front of my father’s house staring at it like I am a stranger. How do I even ask my mother if I am adopted?? Doesn’t that sound crazy??

I summoned courage and walked to the mansion knocking on the door.

“Am coming.” I heard mother say and I smiled. She opened the door and when she saw me she hugged me happily.

“Sandra. How have you been?” She asked as we disengaged.

“Good. Can I?” I asked pointing to inside the house.

“Sure. You just missed your father.” She said and I sighed.

“That’s a relief.” I said and she turned to look at me.

“So you and your father are still having issues?” She asked.

“Mother let’s forget about that. I an here to ask you something.” I said and she looked serious than ever.

“Go on.” She said gesturing me to sit.

“Mother please what’s the name of the hospital you conceived me?” I asked and her eyes widened suspiciously.

She wanted to speak but I guess she couldn’t find the right words.

“What… Why are you asking?” She asked shaking her head, trying to put on  a smile.

“I have an assignment there.” I said smiling and she nodded staring at me like she was keeping something.

“Mother are you okay?” I asked and she stood up.

“I am. I can’t remember where you were conceived.” She said looking away.

“Mother are you hiding something from me?” I asked and she shook her head.

“No,not at all. I guess need to lay my head. I am feeling a little Ill.” She said walking away.

“I know the truth mom! Stop pretending. I was adopted right, picked up from the streets.” I said and she paused.

I could feel she was sobbing.

“Who told you?” She asked in a shaky voice.

“My mother told me.” I said and she looked back.

“Your mother is alive?” She asked and I nodded.

“And she told me everything. Why did you keep it from me since all these years?” I asked.

“Because I didn’t know how to tell my daughter I am barren. Is that enough reason?” She asked and I saw tears roll down her eyes.

“I am sorry Mom.” I said and she shook her head.

“I wouldn’t let her have you. Not when she left you since all this years.” She said and I shook my head.

“It wasn’t her fault. She explained everything to me.” I said.

“And you believe her? Nothing should make a mother forsake her child.” She said.

“Not even when it’s for their safety??” I asked and she sighed.

“Who is she?” She asked calmly.

“She is a witch. And I am one too.” I said.

“What?” She asked and I nodded.

“She is among this witchcraft coven and she had to give me up to save me from the bad witches.” I said and she seemed lost in thoughts.

“Now I understand why anytime you cried the fire in the house gained more pressure.” She said and I furrowed my brows.

“It did?” I asked and she nodded.

“You were still very young. Anytime you were hungry you cried aloud and the fire does this puff thing. It was first scary, but then I got used to it. After some years, it finally stopped.” She said.

“How come I can’t remember any of those moments?” I asked and she shook her head.

“I don’t know. I couldn’t tell you because I would sound insane. I guess your powers died down because you weren’t using them.” She said.

“You believe in witches?” I asked and she nodded.

“I do Sandra, and I am not upset you are one. I knew right from the beginning you weren’t an ordinary child.” She said and I smiled hugging her tightly.

“Thank you Mom.” I said and she nodded.

“So you are leaving me for good?” She asked and I shook my head.

“I am not. But I need to be with mother, maybe she could teach me how to use my powers. I need to be Sure no more bad witches are out there. They are the cause of all these.” I said and she nodded.

“It’s fine. I wish you good luck.” She said.

“Mom was it because of my weirdness father never liked me?” I asked and she nodded.

“He never saw you as ordinary and that said a lot. He once said you are a witch when you were young, but I said no. Considering the fact I didn’t even know you are one.” She said.

“So father hate witches?” I asked and she shook her head.

“He never believed in the supernatural. So when he noticed you, he tended to develop hatred.” She said and tears rolled down my eyes.

“Please don’t blame him Sandra.” She said and I nodded.

“I understand Mom. I should have my leave before he shows up.” I said heading to the door.

“I love you Sandra. And I would love to meet your mother soon.” She said and I smiled.

“I love you too Mom. And she would love to see you too.” I said and she nodded.

I walked out of the house feeling a little happy that I face finally known the truth.

And the most wonderful of it is that I have super powers.

                              KEL

She reached for a knife and placed it on my palm tearing it while I winced silently.

“Omg! Is that blood? You are a murderer.” Sandra cried out but I ignored her. She placed a bowl under my palm as I squeezed my hand to let the blood out.

“That’s enough. It’s her turn now.” She said and I was scared of only one thing. The fact that she would never let us do it.

“What!!!!! My blood too? No no!! Please don’t hurt me.” She cried and I felt pity for her.

“Is there anything else to use apart from her blood?” I asked and she shook her head.

“It is the fastest. Should I do it? Or you should?” She asked and I sighed looking at her to see fear in her eyes.

“I will do it.” I said taking the knife from her.

“You will do it?? After claiming you love me? Now you want to hurt me? Now I know all you said are lies. You would never hurt me.” She said and for a second I paused.

I began to think twice about it as I stared at the knife.

“Don’t worry Kel. I will do it.” The woman said and I wanted to talk but to my surprise, I saw blood oozing out of Sandra’s ear.

I looked back to see the witches eyes shut and her lips moving continuously. Sandra looked unconscious.

“Get the bowl.” She said and I quickly placed the bowl at her jaw as the blood dropped into it.

I passed it to the women and she placed it on the table. She shut her eyes and raised her hand a little and began to speak in some strange languages again.

“Sangonya Fesmatos Insandia, Rodas tomak.” She said and I stared at the bowl expecting something to happen.

She repeated and repeated it until the blood caught fire, and I moved back in fear.

Her voice increased in tempo and all the source of fire in the house boomed with fire.

“Woah. Be careful Witch.” I said not knowing when it fell off my mouth.

I turned to look at Sandra, and I saw she was struggling to get free. I felt pity for her at some point.

After few seconds, she grabbed her head in pain yelling very loud. Her eyes were shut very tight. I flinched in fear as I saw blood oozing from her eyes, nose, ears and mouth.

“Witch stop the spell! Stop it!” I yelled but the witch also seemed lost.

“She is bleeding! She is going to die.” I yelled in fear but the witch said nothing but began to chant. She had this discomforting look as I disturbed her.

“Stop!” I yelled rushing to her. I was close to her and wanted to pull her but then it was like a wall was between us.

I tried again but it was like I was blocked.

“Hey!! Why can’t I touch you!!” I yelled. I looked back and wanted to move when I noticed I was trapped in some invisible wall.

I tried to walk but it was like my body kept hitting something.

I looked at Sandra in fear and this time she looked unconscious. Her head was thrown to the back handing carelessly.

“Oh My God.” I said and then I saw the witch open her eyes.

“What’s wrong with her? What did you do?” I asked and she sighed.

“It’s all your fault. You should have interrupted. You don’t interrupt a witch during spell casting.” She said and I saw I could move again.

“Why did it take so much time?” I asked running to Sandra.

“After erasing her memory, they also casted a spell on her. This spell prevents other witch from penetrating, they saw us coming.” She said.

“So how did you penetrate?” I asked in confusion.

“I asked for help from the witch coven. That’s why it took time. We tried breaking the walls that’s separated us that’s why she was bleeding.”

“And if you had stopped us, she would have died. That’s why I had to trap you in a cage till we were done.” She said releasing Sandra from the chair.

“How is she now? Is she okay? Why isn’t she awake?” I asked helping her up.

“She is unconscious. She gained her memories, but it weakened her. She would be fine after some hours.” She said and I saw tears in her eyes.

“Are you okay? Why are you crying?” I asked as we laid Sandra on the bed.

“Oh it’s nothing.” She said cleaning her eyes.

“Don’t tell me it’s nothing. Did it go wrong? Is she truly okay?” I asked in fear and she nodded.

“She is fine.” She said folding her arms and staring at Sandra.

“Then why are you crying?” I asked and she sighed.

“I saw done disturbing things while I was casting the spell. Don’t be scared, it’s not about her okay? It’s about me.” She said and I was tempted to ask more questions.

“Save the questions for later. Let’s clean up the blood.” She said walking away.
