That night while Christen and Riley were celebrating her pregnancy with their relatives,… Monife sits alone in the hangout sulking and tending to her wounds inflicted to her by Rose, after unsuccessfully trying to frame Riley, The others in the hangout ignore her completely as if she’s a total stranger to them.

This change of circumstances makes her boil and seethe with rage and jealousy, but that’s nothing compared to the rage and displeasure she felt when she found out that Christen was carrying Riley’s child. The thought of losing Christen to Riley made her shout in rage scattering and smashing whatever she sees around her.

The other mystic beings in the hangout stare at her as she behaves like a mad person, Seeing that she wouldn’t stop, They grab hold of her and throw her out of the place.

Monife who felt insulted and humiliated raves and curses them before leaving the place, as she walks alone on the road, she begins to talk to herself.

Monife ➡ Curses! Curses! May Naberius curse that Riley…. So in order to make Christen his for life, he impregnates her to seal their relationship…. Arrrggghhhh…. Thinking about it makes me so angry….. And that Rose… She stands by and allow this filth to alter the bloodline of their family… This is nothing but an abomination.. This is a taboo beyond imagination, I would have reported this to the council but Christen will get involved as well and she will get punished or worse.. I don’t want that, I want her to be safe so that in time when Riley is no more, she and I can be together….. I have to do something about this.. If I can’t have Christen all to myself then no one will especially that Riley.. I must do something about this…… But what am i going to do?

In that moment, Monife stops talking and stands still, she then smiles wickedly and laughs to herself… After that, she teleports herself to somewhere else.

Meanwhile somewhere around outskirts of Ibadan, Satania is hiding and taking refuge in an old abandoned warehouse.. She grumbles and complains realized the body she is currently possessing is about to die out.

Whilst she was doing that, she hears some faint noise making way towards the place she’s in, she becomes alert and quickly hides herself in the shadows waiting for the person to enter, as the noise gets closer and closer, she then thinks of which way to attack or protect her then suddenly, She sees Christen inside the room, she smiles and comes out of her hiding place.

Satania ➡ Christen… You scared the life out of me… I wasn’t expecting you.. How did you find me?

.

Monife ➡ It doesn’t matter, in fact I’m here for something else… First of all, I’m not Christen.. This is just a disguise.. Let me show you.

.

Satania watches in shock as Christen morphs back into Monife, she stares at her intently and then asks who she is.

.

Satania ➡ What’s the meaning of this? Who are you?

.

Monife ➡ My name is Monife.. A shape shifting witch.. I’ve been assigned to spy on you..

.

Satania ➡ So where is the real Christen?

.

Monife ➡ She’s somewhere else and trust me.. She’s wants nothing to do with you.

.

Satania ➡ What is going on?

.

Monife ➡ I see you haven’t figured it out.. One of your followers is a human spy sent by the witch’s to infiltrate your cult, He’s the one responsible for the fall of your cult and the demise of all your loyal subjects.. You’re all alone now and it’s only a matter of time before they come for you.

Satania ➡ Aren’t you one of them? Why are you telling me this? Why betray your companions..

.

Monife ➡ (laughs) Companions!? No.. They’re not my companions.. I only agreed to this because of one thing and this was Christen.. Now I realized I’m just been used as a puppet and I won’t allow that.

Satania ➡ What do you want? I’m sure there’s a reason behind this your betrayal.

.

Monife ➡ It’s not about what I want, it’s both what we both want… Revenge! I’m sure you would want Riley to pay for what he’s done and I want him to pay as well for robbing me of my chance to have a future with Christen.

.

Satania ➡ So that’s his name? So do you want him dead!?

.

Monife ➡ Killing him would be too mercifully, I want to break, humiliate and make him suffer, I’m going to destroy his bond with those he loves especially Christen and I’m going to make him look like an enemy in front of their very eyes.. I’m going to ruin him.

Satania ➡ But first… How sure can I trust you? Because you didn’t seem to bother betraying your former allies?

Monife ➡ Oh you can trust me.. I’m going to help you with your quest. I’m going to get as many vessels as you want, all I want is revenge.. Nothing more.. You can do as you please with the people, I don’t care.

Satania ➡ (smiles) Very well then.. What’s your plan in making this traitor suffer?

Monife ➡ Here’s what I have in mind…….

Life sure gets more intense when a man at a certain stage of his life has to cater and take responsibility of the woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with, but with love, tolerance and patience, everything will work out fine.

Whenever I think about the level I am right now, I still can’t believe I’m going to start a family with Christen, our wedding date was still yet unfixed but we’ve managed to make preparations for it.. As the days went by, I did the best I could to get money so I could take care of Christen and the baby, The campus was still on strike so I couldn’t sit down and wait until the Government had called off the strike which only God knows when they will.

Rose on her own part had provided truck load of cash to my account insisting that I stayed at home and looked after her sister, It was quite generous of her but I just couldn’t sit down, I’m a man and I have to hustle, so with the money she gave me, I used it start a bigger and better business..Khalid who was hands deep in the business of selling exported cars showed me the in and outs of the business and after a week, I was able to get a hang of it and thanks to Rose’s juju (dark magic), the business was booming, when Khalid saw how well my own business was, he insisted on the both of us partnering up and I agreed. Before long, a lot of people heard about my business, and among them was Timothy, he quickly called me and asked if I could offer a him a spot in my business, though I didn’t involve him in my business, I did however gave him enough money that he could use to start his own business and he was very grateful.

Now that I was earning healthy profits, I decided to pay Christen’s bride price and I was going to do it in a grand style but paying Christens bride price was kind of tricky, In the witch’s custom, they don’t pay bride prices like the way we humans do, instead the Groom engages in some kind of an arranged tournament or test set by the brides family to prove his resolve that he can take care of the needs of his soon to be bride…

And from what I heard the tournament was taken very seriously and was very intense, If the groom loses, then he loses his woman but if he wins, they get to spend three days mating with each other, that is the custom … When I was told about this , I felt some kind of tumor in my stomach.. How else could I possibly engage in something like this? Besides I’m no match against this witches when it comes to physical strength 💪. They would easy tear me apart..

Christen didn’t want me to participate in this but then Aunt Jezebel insisted that it was compulsory and since this tournament was going to take place in front of the family, I had to do it and prove myself.

On the day of the tournament, I went to the church early in the morning to pray to God so that I would be alive when this was over, I can’t afford to die without seeing my unborn child… Christen would go hysterical if I were to die leaving her alone with the unborn baby. As I got into the church I saw the place was empty, so i went in front of the altar, knelt down and began to pray, but it didn’t take long before I got interrupted by Deborah.

Debbie ➡ Good morning Riley… I’m surprised to see you here..

Riley ➡ Yes.. Good morning..

.

Debbie ➡ Where’s Christen? Isn’t she here with you?

.

Riley ➡ No, she’s not.. She’s at home.. and that’s none of your business.

Debbie ➡ Oh, I didn’t mean to offend you, its just that she should be coming too.. She’s a Christian after all.. isn’t she?

Riley ➡ Look leave me alone.. I don’t have your time. (B*tch)

I ignored Debbie and continued praying, I was hoping she’d go away but instead she knelt down close to me and joined me in prayer, I wasn’t expecting this but if she wants to pray, I have no problem with that.

About some minutes, I was finally done, just before I could get up, Debbie surprised me throwing her arms around me planting me with kisses.

Debbie ➡ Stay still lover, and enjoy the moment.

Riley ➡ (shocked) Debbie? Are you mad? This is a church! What has come over you? You have to stop this now..

Debbie ➡ Shush! Nobody is here, we have about an hour before the church session starts. Come on.. F-+-k me while there’s still time.

I couldn’t believe this.. Was this really happening? I gathered my strength and pushed her off me but she quickly grabbed hold of me putting her hands on my p+nis.

Riley ➡ Debbie! This is madness.. Stop this now.. I’m engaged to Christen.. I can’t cheat on her.

.

Debbie ➡ Why are you being so stubborn? Since she isn’t here, let’s do this and enjoy the moment, she doesn’t need to know, what happens here, stays between the two of us..

Riley ➡ NO!!! I won’t cheat on the mother of my unborn child, I’d rather get hit by a train than to f-+-k you.. God forbid. Let go of me or I’ll thrash you mercilessly.

Debbie wouldn’t listen, she was still trying to seduce me, her hands however were making my d+ck hard and erect, before I could give in to her temptations, I slapped her hard across the face and went out of the church.

As I got outside, I entered my car and drove home back to Christen, but on my way there, I got a call from my mother asking me to drop by that she wanted to talk to me about something urgent.

I diverted and drove to my mothers place,.. In about some minutes, I arrived at the house and went in to see what was it she wanted to talk to me about.. As soon as I got in, I saw something I was never hoping to see again.

Here before me, stood the entire witch council together with the Supreme witch Orisaye herself… and behind them was my mother and my brother, they were tied and bounded on the floor like goats.

Before I could make a move, someone hit me from behind knocking me out cold.. Moments later, I was awoken by a jolt of electric shock which surged through my entire body, I’ve never felt pain like this since Rose tortured me decades ago. I could barely think straight after that, I looked around to see where I was, Before I knew what was going on, I felt a deafening punch 👊 on the side of my face, It felt like I was hit by a train. Blood gathered in my mouth and I quickly spat it out, as I looked up again, I saw the council looking at me intently, my mother cried bitterly as she saw how I was treated and my brother shook his head in pity.

WC 1 ➡ So the human dog is finally awake.

.

Riley ➡ What do you want? Why are you doing this?

.

Immediately I asked that, one of the witch council members struck me with a bolt of lightening making me shout in pain, My mother begged for my sake but one of the witch made her mouth disappear making her to be mouth less.

.

WC 2 ➡ You dare ask this question? Aren’t you the dog that chose to cause an imbalance in the natural order? You dare plant your seed in the womb of one of our own kind? Do you have any idea the abomination you’re about to procreate?

.

Riley ➡ There is no abomination! You’re just making this up

.

Orisaye ➡ Silence! Enough of this. Tell me Riley… I appreciate your past endeavors but this is something I will not tolerate… Now tell me.. Where is Christen?

.

It was then I remembered what Aunt Jezebel told me.. The council was here to kill her and my unborn child… I felt relieved that they didn’t know her location, I just hope they don’t read my mind.

Orisaye ➡ Tell me.. Where is she?

.

Riley ➡ What are you going to do if I tell you where is she?

.

Orisaye ➡ She’s going to die of course.. We can’t allow her to give birth to that damned thing inside her.

.

Riley ➡ In that case.. Go f-+-k yourself because I won’t tell.

.

Orisaye ➡ Very well.

.

After that, Orisaye walked over to Lionel and severed his head, I watched in horror as his head rolled before me.. My mother grunted continuously struggling to break free, one of the witch council members slapped her hard across the face making her to fall down.

Riley ➡ Don’t you again touch her again.. I’ll kill you if you do…..

.

Orisaye ➡ Are you now ready to talk? Tell me where is CHRISTEN!? TELL ME! Tell me now or your mother dies next.

.

Riley ➡ Please don’t do this.. Please..

.

Orisaye ➡ Tell me where is she? WHERE IS SHE??

.

I cried profusely not knowing what to do.. I was in the same hot seat as I was decades ago when I was told to chose between Christen and my mother.. God knows I love my mother but Christen is carrying my child and she too has done a lot of me.. I just can’t let these bastards kill her and my child.. No way.. I’d rather die than to let that happen. The decision I’m about to make now would make others think I’m an ungrateful son, but I can’t give up Christen.. I’m never making that mistake ever again.

Orisaye ➡ Are you ready to tell me where she is?

.

Riley ➡ Yes.. She’s safe where you’ll never find her and I will not tell you..

.

Orisaye ➡ Fine.. Just know your mother’s blood is on your hands..

.

Orisaye walked over to my mom and set her blaze, I closed my eyes refusing to watch the horror before me.. I felt so angry that I wish I could kill all this council members.. After my mother was burnt to crisp.. The council members descended upon me.. They tortured me in ways unimaginable, they beat me up, electrocuted me with lightning bolts and cut up my fingers and toes.. The pain was unbearable, but this is a sacrifice I’m willing to take in order to protect my family.

After they were done, Orisaye came before me and kicked me hard in my midsection making me groan in pain.

Orisaye ➡ Look at you! You’re a mess.. All this could have been avoided but you chose to be a stubborn fool.. All of this could end right now, just tell me where Christen is and you’re free to go.

.

I looked at her and spat on her face, She slapped me hard across the face and drew some kind of black mental from her hands, she covered it with some kind of electric current and stabbed it in my chest. I coughed out blood excessively as I felt the electric current surging through my intestines..

.

Riley ➡ Do whatever you want.. I’ll never tell you where Christen is.. You can torture me, beat me or stab me but I’ll never tell.. Do your worst.. Whether you like it or not.. There’s nothing you can do about this.

.

Orisaye ➡ Don’t be so sure.. Even if it takes a thousand years.. I’ll make sure she’s found and she’s going to taste the exact same thing you got.. Now.. You die.

.

Orisaye placed her hands by the side of my head, she whispered some kind of spell and then I felt my body going numb, before I knew what was happening, I was turned into dust.

……….

All my life, I’ve always wondered how I would die, but I never for once thought that this was how I was going to die..

Everything was dark and silent for a moment, then suddenly I began to see a ray of small light, gradually the light began to get bigger and bigger until the darkness was gone completely, I felt some kind of solace and peace, as if I was alive, I began to breath and feel the fresh air 💨.. In that moment, I thought I was in paradise, but then I heard my name been called, as I looked at the direction from where the sound came from, I saw a very beautiful lady staring at me.. I couldn’t see her face clearly because my vision was blurry, the lady called my name again and I felt her touch on my face, within that moment, my visions became clear and I was surprised to see that the beautiful lady was Christen, there was tears in her eyes, I looked at her wondering what the hell was going on.. Did the council get her as well?? Is she also dead? All these questions filled my head.

.

Riley ➡ Christen.. Where are we?.. Are we in paradise?

.

Rose ➡ (laughs cynically) Paradise!? Look at this one o… Just a short trip to the infinite limbo and you’re talking about paradise.. Wake up my friend.. You’re still in the real world.

.

Christen ➡ Rose!? Enough of this.

.

Riley ➡ Christen!! What’s going on? What are they talking about?..

.

Christen ➡ Relax baby.. I’ll explain it to you later..

.

I wasn’t even listening to what she was saying, I passed out a while after that, Later I woke up and found Christen sleeping next to me, I sat up slowly and looked around.. I was still in the bedroom and I wasn’t wearing the clothes I went to the church with, I was still in my pajamas. Aunt Jezebel appeared before me and unraveled everything that happened to me.

Aunt Jezebel ➡ Riley.. I’m sorry for the pain you had to go through, but I’m glad you’re okay.

.

Riley ➡ What is happening? Please tell me what is going on?

.

Jezebel ➡ I know you’re confused and I know you’ve experienced some unpleasant…

.

Riley ➡ TELL ME WHAT IS GOING ON.!!

.

Jezebel ➡ Well you see.. Those things you’ve experienced were never real.. They’re illusions.. I casted a spell on you called the Infinite Limbo, this spell creates an imaginary world like the real one in the subconscious making one think that they’re actually living in the real world.. We had decided to surprise you with the tournament without you knowing and I must say.. That is impressive.

.

I was confused and quiet for a while processing all this… Do this bastards mean that all that pain I went through was a lie? An illusion? Besides what else was an illusion.

.

Riley ➡ So you’re saying even the part where I went to the church was an illusion?

.

Jezebel ➡ Absolutely.. You never left the house at all.

.

Riley ➡ Unbelievable… But why? Why this? Do you know how painful it was, to watch my brother and mother die before my very eyes? I don’t care who you are but you had no right messing with my mind like that.. It was unacceptable.

Jezebel ➡ I’m sorry and I won’t do that again..

Riley ➡ Does Christen know about what I saw?

Jezebel ➡ No.. In fact she was crying and worried when she saw how you were reacting to the spell.

Riley ➡ So what now?

.

Jezebel ➡ Now Christen is officially yours…

.

In that moment, Christen snuggled on the bed opening her eyes a little, Jezebel excused herself leaving Christen and I alone.. I laid on and kissed her stomach slowly, she smiled and rubbed my head affectionately. I reached out and kissed her lips sensually.

Christen ➡ Hi. ❤

.

Riley ➡ Hi.. You’re awake.

.

Christen ➡ Yes.. You look worried.. Is everything alright?

.

Riley ➡ Yes.. I’m just glad to see you.

.

Christen ➡ When you woke up, you looked surprised and what’s with the paradise question?

.

Riley ➡ It doesn’t matter.. What matters is that you’re safe and I’m here with you.

.

Christen ➡ Come here.. Let me cuddle you. I want to feel your warmth.

.

I crawled over to Christen and slept next to her hugging her tightly. I felt some kind of relief when I felt the warm skin of Christen around my arms. I cuddled her tightly pulling her close to me., she held my hand tightly putting it close to her belly.. Before long we slept peacefully enjoying the peaceful solace.

Hours later in the evening, I woke up and decided to go out and get some fresh air, Christen woke up as well and suggested that I stay with her in bed.

Christen ➡ Come on baby.. This bed is empty without you..

.

Riley ➡ I know.. But I need to get some air.. I won’t be long.. Besides I’m going out to see Khalid.

.

Christen ➡ Okay.. Before you go, take my necklace with you.

.

Riley ➡ Come on.. I’m just going out, I won’t be long.

.

Christen ➡ Either you take it with you or you won’t leave this house at all.

.

Riley ➡Okay.. Give it to me.

.

Christen gave me the necklace 📿, after that I gave her a kiss and left the house.

Minutes later, as I was walking on the street, I felt someone following me from behind, as I turned around I saw Monife standing behind me. I was startled when I saw her.

Riley ➡ Jesus Christ! You almost scared me to death.

.

Monife ➡ Whatever… We have a problem, Satania is on the move.. I know her location.

.

Riley ➡ Seriously? Come on let’s inform Rose and the others…

.

Monife ➡ There isn’t enough time.. Come let me show you the place..

.

Monife came close to me and grabbed my hands and within an instance she teleported us to Satania’s location, as soon as we got there, I saw the place was nothing but a cave, I looked around the place and saw we were in the middle of some thick dense forest.

.

Riley ➡ Where is she?.

.

Monife ➡ She’s inside the cave..

.

Riley ➡ Are you sure?

.

Monife ➡Would I lie? If you don’t believe me then.. fine.

.

I looked at her for a while and then proceeded towards the cave, as I got to the mouth of the cave, I felt a sharp blow behind my back, I fell into the cave groaning in pain, I could swear that my spine was cracked.. In that moment I saw Monife laughing cynically.. Then I realized something wasn’t right.

.

Riley ➡ What is the meaning of this?

.

Monife ➡ Betrayal!

.

Riley ➡ What?

.

Monife ➡ You heard me.. I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to get rid of you and you have fallen into my trap.. This is where you die!

.

Riley ➡ Why are you doing this?

.

Monife ➡ Why? I think you know why.. You ruined my chance at Christen when you planted your damned seed in her and now it’s growing.. You’ve finally bonded with her and that’s what pisses me off.. If I can’t have her, then nobody will and that includes you.

.

I felt so angry, I stood up and rushed towards her, I punched her hard but my punch had no effect on her, she laughed and kicked me hard making me fall, immediately I was on the ground, she rushed and grabbed me rising me high up with both her hands and brought me down with all her might onto her knee.

CRACK!!!!!

I shouted in pain as I felt my spine snap in half, I couldn’t feel my legs at all., as I laid on the ground groaning in pain, I remembered the necklace 📿 in my pocket, before I could reach for it.. Monife matched my arm and took out the necklace.

.

Monife ➡ Trying to escape I see?.. Well that won’t be happening.

.

She rolled her arm and threw the necklace so far away, so that I won’t be able to find it. After that, she grabbed both my arm joints and broke it. The pain was so immense, I couldn’t even feel my body anymore. Monife laughed and stood over me.

.

Monife ➡ Now! You’re completely immobilized, there’s no way for you to go, and there’s no one to help you.. This is where you will die and rot.. Don’t worry.. Christen won’t be alone and I’ll be sure to take care of your child.. (Laughs) Enjoy your last days in this cave.

.

After that Monife disappeared leaving me in a state of shock, i couldn’t even think straight!.. All I could do was shout in agony feeling bitterness in my heart..

Monife is now working with Satania and if I’m guessing right, she’s going to use my identity and sabotage my relationship with Christen and her relatives.. I need to find a way out of here but how?

Some say marriage 💍 or having a child is the best thing that could ever happen to a man but still not every man can handle the pressure and consequences that comes with it. The moment I found out Christen was pregnant, I knew I was in for a long bumpy ride and because of that there are two things I needed the most which were tolerance and patience. Women to be honest are troublesome and nerve wrecking creatures and one has to be both tolerant and patience with them, being with an ordinary woman is trouble enough but a witch that’s a whole different level.

Ever since she announced she was pregnant, Christen has been given me a hard time, she was bossy, pushy and and worst of all arrogant.. Though the baby bump hasn’t yet shown Christen insisted on enjoying herself and relaxing, what surprised me was instead of getting chubbier or having signs of pregnancy like other women do, she gets more younger, lovelier, and attractive everyday plus her body gets more and more seductive and luscious whenever I see her, I was hoping to get laid with her but Christen never allows me to make love to her, I could kiss and touch but when it comes to sex, that’s a no entry zone. I tolerated all this and endured her bullshit.

As if that wasn’t enough, Christen started getting a little bit disturbing, a week after I found out she was expecting, She insisted that I leave my house and come to hers and stay, she claimed that she was defenseless and needed a man to protect her and the baby.. I knew she was just messing with me cause she could handle a regiment of soldiers without breaking a sweat.. So eventually, I moved in to her house but that wasn’t enough, Clinging on to her pregnancy, she made me do the entire house work, I would sweep, clean, and wash, Hell in the end, I became a house boy,.. Even when we went to shop for yoghurt milks and honey jars in supermarkets, I was left to carry everything , but despite all that, she still gave me my respect as a Fiancee.

But the real drama starts whenever we both sleep together in bed, sometimes in the middle of the night around 1:00 am, Christen would wake me up and tell me that she was hungry and in need of food.

Christen ➡ Honey… Wake up!

.

Riley ➡ Huh??? What’s wrong?

.

Christen ➡ I’m hungry…

.

Riley ➡ Now? But you just drank 5 bottles of milk and 2 jars of honey..

.

Christen ➡ I’m still hungry, besides you know I’m eating for two now..

.

Riley ➡ Okay.. What do you want?

.

Christen ➡ Milk.

.

Riley ➡ Okay.. Let me go get it for you.

.

I left the bed staggering with sleep in my eyes as I walked to the kitchen, as soon as I got there, I opened the fridge and brought out the chilled L and Z milk and then I took a cup and went back to the bedroom.

As soon as I got in, I got the surprise of my life, just as I was about to serve Christen the milk, I saw her frowning and mumbling.

Riley ➡ What’s wrong?.. Don’t you like the milk again?

.

Christen ➡ No.. It’s just that I don’t want this one.. I want the ones that the fulani women used to sell.

.

Riley ➡ You mean *Fura and nono*

.

Christen ➡ Yes. I want that.. Out and get it for me..

.

I stood bewildered and shocked… Was this b*tch for real?…. How does she expect me to find those fulani women not to talk of even the milk drink itself.

.

Riley ➡ Are you really serious right now? It’s 1:00 am.. WHERE IN THE WORLD DO YOU EXPECT ME TO GET FURA DA NONO?

Christen ➡ Are you raising your voice at me?

.

Riley ➡ I’m sorry.. Please Christen.. Try to understand.. I can’t find that drink tonight.. Why don’t you leave tomorrow morning huh?

.

Christen ➡ No. I want it now..

.

I knew she wouldn’t change her mind so I took my car keys and left the house that night in search for those fulani milk drinks.. I drove through the streets of Ibadan hoping to see at least one fulani milk maid but there was none, I was even annoyed by all this.. Christen is a witch, she could just get it easily without bothering me… God I just hope she stops all this wahala of hers. In that moment, I decided to call Khalid to see if he knew where I could get the fulani yoghurt.

Riley ➡ Hello Khalid.

.

After that, we got into the car and continued our ride to Oyo, after hours of frantic search, Christen was no where to be found, we finally rode back to Ibadan and converged at the hangout. Even there others that helped us search for Christen said she was nowhere to be found.

After that, The girl, the cat, and the writing vanished like thin air… I began to think about what the girl wrote and then i figured it out… I ran as fast as I could into the forest, heading straight to the iroko tree, Why didn’t I think of it sooner? The Iroko tree was the one place that I forgot to check and it was the place Christen loves to hang out.

Minutes later as I arrived at the place, I looked around the place but I couldn’t find her, as I looked up at the tree branches, I saw her high up standing on one of the branches.. I felt relieved when I saw her, she wasn’t even sleeping, she was just sitting down staring onto the view.

But before I could do that, thorns began to pop out of the tree and before long the whole tree was covered in thorns except where Christen sat.. I stared at the horns and wondered why she was behaving like this.. Well if she thinks that’s going to stop me.. She’s going. I prayed silently in my mind and began to climb the tree.

Some say marriage 💍 or having a child is the best thing that could ever happen to a man but still not every man can handle the pressure and consequences that comes with it. The moment I found out Christen was pregnant, I knew I was in for a long bumpy ride and because of that there are two things I needed the most which were tolerance and patience. Women to be honest are troublesome and nerve wrecking creatures and one has to be both tolerant and patience with them, being with an ordinary woman is trouble enough but a witch that’s a whole different level.

Ever since she announced she was pregnant, Christen has been given me a hard time, she was bossy, pushy and and worst of all arrogant.. Though the baby bump hasn’t yet shown Christen insisted on enjoying herself and relaxing, what surprised me was instead of getting chubbier or having signs of pregnancy like other women do, she gets more younger, lovelier, and attractive everyday plus her body gets more and more seductive and luscious whenever I see her, I was hoping to get laid with her but Christen never allows me to make love to her, I could kiss and touch but when it comes to sex, that’s a no entry zone. I tolerated all this and endured her bullshit.

As if that wasn’t enough, Christen started getting a little bit disturbing, a week after I found out she was expecting, She insisted that I leave my house and come to hers and stay, she claimed that she was defenseless and needed a man to protect her and the baby.. Before I knew what was happening, Jenny called for the attention for everyone in the place and told them about the situation.

I quickly turned to the direction from where the voice came from and saw it was Monife, she was sitting down having a cup of human blood.

Riley ➡ What did you just say?

Monife ➡ I said why should we? After all, you’re her fiance, her lover, her man.. You should have control over her and know her every move. Maybe she’s not gone, maybe there’s something you did to her.

Ghoul ➡ What are you talking about?

Monife ➡ What I’m saying is.. He’s a human and you all know humans are deceptive.. Maybe she isn’t gone, cause I know her, she wouldn’t leave your side for a second, I think there’s something you did to her.

Riley ➡ Are you saying I’m responsible for her disappearance?

Monife ➡ Of course.

The moment she said that, everyone turned around and stared at me suspiciously, then they began to mumble.. I knew what Monife was planning but how could I talk my way out and convince this horrific beings otherwise, but then suddenly Jenny took a a stand for me.

Jenny ➡ Alright, that’s enough! This is nothing but nonsense.. Monife.. You’re nothing but a trouble maker… Do you really think Riley can hurt christen? He can’t… Though he’s human but I can vouch for him.. Besides he’s not stupid enough to do anything to Christen cause he knows what will follow next.

Monife ➡ Shut your mouth, mammy water b*tch… You know nothing of this sniveling human. He’s not to be trusted.

Just as Monife and Jenny were about to start throwing harsh words at each other, we all heard a loud cynical laugh and a agonizing shout of pain, shortly after that, Rose and her friends came into the place dragging a man behind them, both of the man’s arms was torn apart and his mid-section was bleeding out immensely, as the poor soul kept shouting, Rose walked over to the man’s head and punched through his face, her hands came out from behind his head, she pulled out her hands and brought out his skull together with his brains.. She then threw it towards the direction of the ghouls and they all gathered around it like flies around a dustbin. In that moment, she saw me and was surprised by my presence.

Rose ➡ Riley!? What are you doing here?

Riley ➡ Hi, Rose.. I’m here to get some help.

.

Rose ➡ What for?

.

Monife ➡ Christen is missing and it’s his fault..

.

I was shocked when Monife said that before I could say anything, Rose smacked me hard across the face making me fly across the room, I fell down hard on the ground moaning in pain.. God.. This b*tch get power.

Everyone stood still watching helpless as Rose made her way towards me.. She came over me and stomped my chest hard pressing her foot harder, I could feel the cracking sound of my ribs as Rose added more pressure to her footing.

Riley ➡ Rose! (gasp) hold on.. Monife is lying.. Let. Me. explain.

Everyone was surprised when I said that… Rose quickly got her foot off my chest and stared at me in astonishment.. I almost laughed when I saw the look on Monife’s face, she certainly wasn’t happy about this.. Rose then raised me up and dusted me, she apologized for everything but I wasn’t going to accept her apology instead I gave her exactly what she gave me.

KAPOOW!!!!!

Everyone gasped in shock when I slapped Rose, even she was taken aback but she didn’t flinch… I really felt good when I slapped her, I’ve been waiting a long time to do this.. She can’t just be beating people anyhow unreasonably, in that moment, I became a legend.

Rose ➡ You b*stard! Do you have any idea what you’ve done?

Riley ➡ Yeah, and I must say.. It felt good.. You had it coming..

Rose smiled after that and then went over to Monife, when she saw Rose was coming, she attempted to run but she wasn’t fast enough, Rose grabbed hold of her with her shadow magic tangling her in it, as soon as she got close, She gave Monife such a beating that even the devil would feel sorry for her, the terrifying sound of Rose’s punch on Monife’s body made everyone trembled with fear, as soon as she was done with her, Monife’s face was covered in blood and bruised, she was then thrown out like a cockroach.

Satisfied with her brutality, Rose approached me and gave me a hug.

After that, Rose ordered everyone to leave the place and join hands with us in looking for Christen.. That night, Ibadan was swarming with agents of dark forces, the ghouls blended in the shadows, the witches soared the skies, and the mermaids swam through the rivers around Ibadan, I on the other hand rode in my car together with Rose and a friend of hers.. We rode all over Ibadan looking for Christen but still there was no sign of her, we then decided to drive to Oyo and check the place, as we were driving there, we all began to converse.

In that moment, our conversation was interrupted when we were halted by the police standing at the road side, I stopped the car and they came close to us flashing touch lights at us.

We all came down from the car and started to search us but Rose wouldn’t let them touch her.

Rose ➡ Don’t you dare touch me, you pig.

Police man 1 ➡ You dey crazy ni? Come make I search you.

Rose ➡ Over my dead body.. I don’t let second rate beings touch my magnificent body.

Riley ➡ Rose just let them search you.

In that moment the other police man came behind Rose and gave her a dirty slap, I knew their lives were forfeit in that moment, as they were busy shouting at her, Rose bare out her nails, grabbed on of the policemen and tore out his throat with ease.. The other one couldn’t even wait, he ran a few pace backwards and aimed his gun at us before he could fire the gun, Rose’s friend got in front of him and dug her right hand in between his chest, pulling out his heart.

All I could do was watch and shake my head in pity.. Police men and their wahala, now look at what they’ve caused for themselves, besides what were they doing by this time of the night?

After that, we got into the car and continued our ride to Oyo, after hours of frantic search, Christen was no where to be found, we finally rode back to Ibadan and converged at the hangout. Even there others that helped us search for Christen said she was nowhere to be found.

Rose ➡ Are you sure she’s not here in Ibadan?

.

Jenny ➡ We’ve searched everywhere but she’s nowhere to be found.

.

Rose ➡ Well, I bet she’s back at home in our world.. Riley you go home and rest.

Riley ➡ Okay.. Please if you find her.. Let me know.

Rose ➡ Don’t worry.

I left the place and rode back home, as soon as I got there, I parked the car and sat on the hood, staring at stars in the sky,.. In that moment, I saw something that made me almost take off.. It was that same little girl with the black cat 🐈, she stood close to the forest and stared at me.

I stood and stared at her as well, just what was she doing here? Is she after me? All this questions filled my mind.

Riley ➡ Why are you following me? Who sent you?

.

The girl stared at me giving me a direct look, the little devil looked so much like Christen in facial appearance.. Even when I asked her, she kept quiet and stared at me, then suddenly, she held out something in her hands showing it to me.. It was the same necklace 📿 as Christen’s, I brought out mine holding it in my hands, after that, she pointed at the necklace and then pointed towards the direction of the forest.. I didn’t understand, so I asked her what she meant.. She frowned a little and then put back the necklace, she then began to make gestures with her fingers as if she was writing something on air, in that moment, Some whitish ray of light showed at the place where she wrote and i saw what she had written.

After that, The girl, the cat, and the writing vanished like thin air… I began to think about what the girl wrote and then i figured it out… I ran as fast as I could into the forest, heading straight to the iroko tree, Why didn’t I think of it sooner? The Iroko tree was the one place that I forgot to check and it was the place Christen loves to hang out.

Minutes later as I arrived at the place, I looked around the place but I couldn’t find her, as I looked up at the tree branches, I saw her high up standing on one of the branches.. I felt relieved when I saw her, she wasn’t even sleeping, she was just sitting down staring onto the view.

Riley ➡ Christen!!!

.

I called out to her but she didn’t answer, I called out to her again but she still didn’t answer, when I called for the third time, she looked down and stares at me, she still didn’t say anything.

.

Riley ➡ Okay.. If you won’t answer me, I’m climbing up.

.

But before I could do that, thorns began to pop out of the tree and before long the whole tree was covered in thorns except where Christen sat.. I stared at the horns and wondered why she was behaving like this.. Well if she thinks that’s going to stop me.. She’s going. I prayed silently in my mind and began to climb the tree.

There’s nothing than having a good night’s sleep, I don’t know how long I was dozing but I was awoken by the bright sun rays that shone on my face.

I woke up yawning and stretching myself excitedly, I felt good all over my body, I rubbed my blurry eyes to see clearly, as I sat up I looked around the room.. It was quite messy but there was no one around.. I tried to remember what happened last night but I couldn’t, So I got out from bed and went to stand in front of my body mirror , I glared at my body for while and noticed some few things around me.. My bre&sts were a bit enormous and her butt was quite bodacious, my body looked a bit more younger and slender than before, as I began to touch myself especially my t__ts, I noticed milk dripping out slowly from my n+pples… I was surprised when I saw this.. I couldn’t help but ask myself what had happened to my body?

After examining my body for a while, I went into the toilet to take my bath… While in the toilet, I was busy m__ning slowly as the warm shower ? ran through my body, scrubbing my body with my hands gave me added pleasure.. after spending about half an hour in the shower, I came out of the toilet wrapping my body with a towel, I went over to my dressing mirror and took my phone to check if anyone had called me, As I scrolled through the phone, I saw 2 text messages, I tapped on them and saw one from Bimpe and one from Riley, I opened the one from Riley to see what was in it.

I smiled after reading the text, it’s kind of romantic for a man to prepare breakfast for the woman he loves.. But I wonder what came up that Riley had to leave so early, we were supposed to spend quality time with each other, after all we just celebrated our engagement last night. Any well I hope its nothing serious.. I checked Bimpe’s text and saw what was in it, all she sent was *Call me*… I hissed in annoyance and dialed her number it didn’t take long before she answered.

Christen ➡ Hello!

Bimpe ➡ My my.. What’s with the harsh voice? Well good morning..

Christen ➡ Morning.. What do you want?

I hung up the call before she could even continue… I couldn’t believe this stuff is permanent… And that worst part was if it were some spell or magic I could have easily canceled it but no… Now I have to leave the rest of my life looking like a bimbo SL&t.

After that, I went down to the kitchen to see the food Riley and prepare for me, upon getting to the kitchen, I heard some noise coming out of my storage room, as I opened it, Cassandra jumped out of it sweating like a goat waiting for slaughter.

Christen ➡ What were you doing in there? Don’t tell me you’ve been here since last night?

Cassy ➡ (hisses) Mtcheew! You’re going to see… You keep me in that stuffy room for hours and you claim you know nothing of it.. You’ll see.

Cassy left the house murmuring some curses under her breath, I shut the door behind her and went to the kitchen to eat my breakfast.. The meal ? that Riley had prepared was fried egg, some toasted bread and tea laced with milk and cocoa powder, I inhaled the delicious aroma before me and my stomach grumbled, I placed everything inside a tray and teleported myself back to my room, as I sat comfortably on my bed, I began to dig in but then something unexpected happened.. As I took a bite from the fried egg, I realised it tasted awful and terrible, I quickly spat it out of my mouth.. I couldn’t believe what just happened.. Did Riley messed up somewhere? Besides can he even cook? I dropped the egg and decided to manage with the tea and egg, as I tasted both of them at once, I got the same result, they were worst than the egg, I threw the plate straight into the wall in anger… Was Riley trying to kill me?… No he wouldn’t do something like that maybe one of my cousins was playing a trick on me..

Unable to have a decent breakfast, I decided to wear my clothes, I wore a short skirt and a loose T-shirt, after that, I went downstairs to clean the house.

Minutes later as I was almost done, I got a visit from my brother Oliver.. Judging from the look on his face I know something had happened..

Oliver ➡ Morning sister…

Christen ➡ Morning.. So you dare to show your face huh? Where were you last night?

Oliver ➡ What are you talking about? I came.. Ask Judith.. You and Riley were absence when I came, so I spent some time and went off.

In that moment, a knock was heard on my door, I felt lazy to walk and open the door so I used my magic, as the door opened Grandma wuroala walked in, Oliver and I both greeted her as she sat next to me, but then I realized she wasn’t her usual self.

Wuroala ➡ congratulations my dear.. I heard you had a wonderful event last night.. Sorry I couldn’t make it.

Christen ➡ Its okay.. So how are you? You look off.

Wuroala ➡ Oh I’m fine.. So I came here to……..

Oliver and I were both taken aback by my Grandma’s stare which was on me.. She fixed her gaze on me for while before doing something that I couldn’t understand, she placed her hands on my thigh and began to rub me gently pulling it up wards, I twitched as I felt her hands on my skin.. Her hands then reached up and touched my stomach which she rubbed continuously, shortly after that, her eyes widened and she removed her hands..

I’m finally going to be a mother and I’m now bonded with Riley for life.

Wuroala ➡ Well there’s something you should know first.. You see.. When a witch gets pregnant, things get quite crazy.. Like for instance there’s a huge difference between human females and witches.

Christen ➡ Like how?

Wuroala ➡ Like for instance, when a humans gets pregnant, they put on excessive weight and their facial features changes.. But for us witches we don’t get weight and we remain the way we are except for the baby bump of course. And when it comes to love making, the humans don’t have s&x like they use to but for witches, that’s when their primal desires and lust are unleashed, $*x is always in demand Plus the seed of our male partners makes us look much younger. And lastly when it comes to diet, that’s where things get a bit intense.

I gasped in shock when I heard that… No wonder, I couldn’t eat my breakfast.. My taste buds have changed due to my pregnancy, so no more ice cream ?, plantain or other delicious treats and I’ll have to stay like that for 9 good months.

Christen ➡ So what do I eat then? I can’t starve my baby.

Wuroala ➡ Don’t worry.. There’s a way out.. There’s something that you need to eat to keep yourself and your baby healthy and it’s not something you like..

I couldn’t believe this… So now I have to eat and drink blood so that my baby could survive.. I had no idea this pregnancy stuff was like this.. Now I’m starting to regret being pregnant now.. There’s no way I’m going to drink and eat flesh and blood.

Christen ➡ No grandma.. Isn’t there any other source of nutrition.. Please.. I can’t drink blood and eat flesh.. It’s too ghastly..

Wuroala ➡ If you want your baby to be born healthy into this damn world then that’s what youre going to do.. Although there is something I can recommend for you.. You can take a fresh cow milk and the natural honey ?, those are the two things you can taste but try taking some meat and blood every once in a while.. Understand?

The man in the cloak asked me to follow him… We left the passage and entered another one, there was also another door like this passage like the previous one.. The cult member told me to enter the room facing me, where I’ll get further instructions.

Solomon ➡ Satania is a demon  like me and the others.. Unlike us, she’s unique in a special way.. She’s been the harbinger of chaos and destruction in the world for a very long time.. The master of Evil, Satan was pleased with her, he gave her three entities of destruction, known as the #TRINITY_OF_SIN.

Riley ➡ Trinity of sin?

Christen ➡ What do this things do?

Solomon ➡ With these three entities, Satania can bring and cause untold chaos to the world, Each entity has its use.. There is the trinity of greed, jealousy and wrath, unleashing these three things to the people will be devastating..

Riley ➡ I don’t understand, how will this things cause chaos?

Christen ➡ Greed invokes Jealousy.. Like in the bible.. The story of Abel and his brother Cain.. Cain was ungrateful that his brother was going to marry their beautiful sister .. He became greedy and in the long run became jealous of his brother, their father Adam decided to settle the matter by making them give their best offerings to God.. God chose Abel’s offering and the made Cain angry that he killed his brother.. You get the logic?

Riley ➡ let me get this straight.. Ungratefulness leads to greed, and greed leads to jealousy, in turn jealousy leads to anger or wrath and that leads to…

Christen ➡ Death!.

Riley ➡ Jesus.. How do we stop this?

Solomon ➡ Destroy all the three elements.. Only a Prophet or a witch can achieve this.

Christen ➡ How? What spell is powerful to do that?

Solomon ➡ Precisely.. But she can’t stay out for long because of the Altros.. So she finds living bodies and dwells in them.

After Solomon said that, that’s when I realised everything that was going on… The kidnapping of the girls in Campus.. Satania was behind it… She uses their body as a vessel for her to dwell in it.. But due to the fact that she’s a demon, the body she possesses can’t sustain her long enough… Everything was clear now.

Solomon ➡ You’re welcome but I must warn you… She is very tricky and cunning.. Be careful when dealing with her.

After that Solomon disappeared out of our sight… Riley who still surprised by all this, snuggled up to me holding me tight.

Here in the city of Ibadan.. Evil blends and lurks among its people, The people move about with their daily activities not realizing that this evil would be the death of them all.

Here inside the I. A. S building high above the top floor, There sits a mysterious lady, staring at the populace of Ibadan through the window, She stares blankly over city shaking her head in disappointment, after a brief moment of silence, she speaks to herself.

Satania ➡ So this is how the humans have evolved…. gaining control of power and doing as they see fit… They abide by laws that are based on nothing but empty lies. What has happened to this world? People no longer know their place, they no longer cower in fear.. This cockroaches believing that they’re free… How utterly revolting.

After being trapped in a curse for thousands of years, here i am free from my bondage only to see a world like this…

I Satania, the demon who ruled over the Aksum empire (Ethiopia) for hundreds of years…I was worshipped like a goddess and my name sent fear around the world.. I was the most powerful and successful demon, that even the Lord of evil, master of mischief (Satan) promised to give me a seat by his side to rule on his behalf in hell. Everything was going so perfectly until Christianity showed up..

That cursed religion began to give people hope, and was making them to resist me.. The people who were once afraid of me started fighting back.. Before I could flee I was captured and rendered powerless, I was beaten, stoned and tortured, In the end, I was humiliated publicly and burnt alive but before I could die, I transfered my spirit to the nearest living soul I could find..

Now that my physical form was dead and trapped in hell, my spiritual form was being targeted by Soul seekers, known as the #Altros… (Check season 1 of WL) .

But what I didn’t know was there is one flaw in me possessing a living body, and it was if I stayed in there for 30 days, the body would turn into a stone statue and that was the reason of what I was trapped in a stone for thousands of years… But now that I am free.. and I have followers behind me.. I will reclaim this new found world and rule it to it’s knees…. Considering how this world has become, everything would be so easy for me.. I bet Lord Satan is enjoying watching the humans lead themselves to eternal damnation.

Satania laughs cynically to herself as she plans what she’s about to do… In that moment, as she was staring through the window.. Her followers enter the room, holding a black clay pot.. And behind the followers enters Chief Olushegun and some influential . They all approach Satania and bow to her, hailing her as they did before she was free from her curse.

All ➡ Hail the great mother of evil!!!

Satania ➡ Welcome my children…. Welcome I can’t thank you enough for releasing me from my bondage… Have you gotten what I’ve asked you?

Olushegun ➡ Yes iya aburu… Here are the #TRINITY_OF_SINS, that you’ve requested.

Olushegun bows down and presents the pot to Satania, who smiles mischievously to herself… She grabs the pot and rubs it gently..

Satania ➡ Oh, my pets… I’ve missed you… Well my children.. Since you’ve proved your loyalty to me.. What do you want in return.

Olushegun ➡ Genocide … This world is filled to the brim, its hard to control people and our natural resources are limited… That’s what every country in this world is facing this problem and if its not checked.. This world will soon go extinct.

Satania ➡ Let me guess… You want me to reduce half the population. Lay waste to half the lives in this world…. Hmm, that’s a tempting offer… Fine I’ll do it for you.. But in return I want lots of vessel in which I can transfer my essence into..

Olushegun ➡ Done… You’ll have as many vessels as you want.. Iya aburu.

.

Satania ➡ Good.. Now.. Step back while I release my pets..

.

As soon as Olushegun moves black, Satania opens the pot and brings out three black medallions.. After that she throws the medallions on the ground and mutters some undescribable words.. Shortly after yhat, . The impact stirs most of the members as they murmur in fear.. After that explosion, A black smoke gathers around and begins to expand little by little, The members watch with shock to see what would happen next, In that moment, the smoke begins to divide into three parts and as it does that, the smokes transforms into three unidentified creatures.. The creatures has no physical shape or form, but their appearance is hideous.

Satania laughs as she approaches the three creatures. She walks around them and then sprays some black stuffy powder on them.. After that she begins to chant some spell.

Satania ➡ Rise my three great sins… Arise!!! Come forth my pets and do your duty…. Blend in with the crowd and bring chaos over them,.. Come forth my pets… My trinity of sins.. Come forth to your mistress and wreck havoc to this world.. Turn their contentedness into Greed… Turn their admiration into jealousy…. And Turn their compassion to one another in anger and wrath, so that they may kill one another… Let them destroy THEMSELVES……. Let there be blood, let there be pain.. And let the be agony… Arise my children! ARISE!!!

After that, the three creatures started taking their forms.. The first one transformed into a shadow fox, which is a symbol of Greed .

The second one transformed into a snake 

Whixh was a symbol of Jealousy.

And the last one transformed into a black phantom tiger which was a symbol of Wrath.. All this combined were the #TRINITY_OF_SIN.

After their transformation, all this creatures disappeared instantly to do their mistress’s bidding… One thing was certain about all this.. There is going to chaos in Ibadan.

#CHRISTEN

Men! No matter how big or how older they get, they’ll still be immature…. I could still remember night that Riley escorted me back home, it was fun though, it’s nice been with him even for a while… Just when I thought he was now a much more matured man, I was wrong… I couldn’t believe he was staring at me down from my house as I was undressing myself.. I felt annoyed that I had to send Ovarkt to slap the day lights out of him…though It was funny to see Riley run off like a rabbit.. Poor guy.

But that’s past tense now, It’s been days since that happened.

Being a lecturer in Campus was quite okay but there are times, where I regretted been here.. The only fun moment I had was when I was with Riley.. Out of all the faculty members.. He was the most caring and compassionate one.. He gave me tips on how to handle students and some materials for conducting lectures but I really don’t need them.. My magic is good enough. Riley and i maintained a cordial relationship in and outside the campus..We do usual hang out at the old Iroko tree and talk about the busy rough days we had while lecturing in campus ; the more we hung out the closer we got to each other, but I made sure I didn’t let my emotions get the best to me.. Solomon was always around to ensure that didn’t happen.

Though Riley was the only faculty member too friendly with me, I wouldn’t say the same for the others..

A few days, I started lecturing in the school, I began to get unpleasant remarks from both the faculty and the students for being so uppity and full of pride… Well, I don’t care… It’s not like I’m uppity or full of pride, I just like to be left alone, and I don’t like to talk much, I don’t understand people at time.. It’s not a must that I must be socializing or blending with them, and if they can’t stand me, well let them go to hell.

Among those loathe me the most are, Timothy, Amelia and a snobby student called Cassandra.

Timothy despises me because I ignored his advances as he tried to toast me.. I mean what would I do with a man that walks like a woman and that’s not the worst part, the fool is one hell of a womanizer. After trying to get my attention for so many times.. He gave up.

And as for Cassandra, she hates me cause of my closeness to Riley.. I mean what’s her deal? I know she has an eye for him but she’s just too young… And she just doesn’t hate me for that only she also hates me because I get more male attention than anyone in the department.. and it’s not like its my fault… I can’t help me if I’m being the center of attention.

And lastly Amelia, I don’t know what I’ve done to this one but she just hates me… Just when I thought she was just hating on me for no reason, I later realized the reason behind all this… It was because I’m everything that she’s not… She envies who I am and she hates me for it.. The thing she hates the most about me is my closeness with Riley, something she’s tried so hard to achieve.

There was this one time she came into my office to taunt me… In the past, I deal with pests like her by casting a spell on them but now, I don’t know why I’m tolerating people like her.

Amelia ➡ Uhm, Christen.. Can I ask you something? How well do you know Prof. Riley?

Christen ➡ For quite some time..

Amelia ➡ Oh… I see.. Uhm.. Do you think he’s seeing anyone?

Since from that day… Amelia and I became bitter enemies… She was doing all she could to make me look bad but I ignored her, Besides I’m here to do something important..

After doing my lecturing work, I’d continue my mission and that was to find the reason behind the mysterious death going on.. First I would go around and get information, and it was easy thanks to my demon servant Ovarkt, and my wind magic which allowed me to hear what people were talking about without getting close to them… So far the information I got was the group responsible for mass murder was the *Cult of Chaos *.. This cult group was formed my government officials, it was so secretive and well hidden so that people won’t know about it.. The problem was finding their hide out… Because if I could locate their hideout, I would be done with this tiring job once and for all.

Rose wasn’t making this easier for me, She’d always press me to find results and there’s nothing I hate more that be disturbed… I did the best I could to get as much information as I could.

One evening, I decide to go the club where the rest of my kind hang out, It’s been long since I’ve been to that place, the last time I went there was with Riley during our campus days …

Minutes later, I arrived there, it sure hasn’t changed a bit.. The crowd was still the same though, cannibalistic and wild.. I just pity the poor humans that were around there. As I got into the place, I took my seat and kept an eye out for someone that might have the information I need.

Shortly after I had taken my sit… My childhood friend, Esther spotted me and came towards me.. I have to say she looks quite different and older from the last time we met.

Esther ➡ Hoy Callipso… Christen… Is this you? For real? I can’t believe it..

Christen ➡ Hey.. Esther.. Long time..

.

Esther ➡ Yes o.. You uncaring b*tch.. So you came back and you couldn’t say hi.. Or come by to see your bestie..

Christen ➡ I’m not sure but they’re responsible for the mysterious deaths and kidnapping of young girls that’s been happening?

Esther ➡ I don’t know about them, but there’s someone here that I think might know about this kind of stuff.

Esther ➡ Monife, the chameleon witch.

Esther  ➡ Monife, like I said is a chameleon witch… I don’t know how she does it but she can blends herself into the crowd that no body can trace her, some say she transforms or changes her form to look like others. And she’s very good at hiding her magic aura, making it difficult to know if she’s a witch or not… But let me warn you… She’s not to be trusted… That b*tch likes to cause trouble..

Christen ➡ I don’t care.. Let’s go see her and see if she knows about what I’m looking for… Where is she now?

Esther ➡ She’s here in the club.. Come let’s go. I’ll take you to her. She’s in the feeding lounge.

Esther led me to the room which was at the far end of the club, I didn’t even know there was a place like this here, As we entered the room, I saw something horrific in here in this room, Ghouls were busy feeding on human fleshes, the humans unfortunately were alive as they were eaten.. They shouted for help but it was of I use and I wasn’t going to interfere because that would cause confrontation between me and the ghouls and I don’t have time for that.. Soon we got a table where we saw some stunning witch kissing a human… I was shocked to see a human deep in a place like this, we stood and watched as they were kissing like they would never stop.. The witch who was on the guy’s lap was kissing him intently while the guy was massaging her ass, they were so into their kissing that, they weren’t aware of us.. Then suddenly I saw something odd, The guy that was kissing the witch started to shake in fear, I noticed his limbs were shrinking, he tried to push off the witch but it was too late, the witch had s—-d his life force out of him, leaving his body dried up like shock fish.

Seeing this reminded me of Rose’s antics in the past.. What a nightmare.

Now I understood why this room was called the feeding lounge… I just feel sorry for any human that comes in here.

After that horrific display, Esther introduced me to the witch..

Monife ➡ Esther… How far now? Sorry for being so hasty.. This guy tasted deliciously, I would have saved some for you.

I felt annoyed that I grabbed hold of her, Esther rushes in and calmed me down… This Monife b*tch.. has just made herself an enemy..

Christen ➡ Listen you… If anything happens to him, I’ll..

Monife ➡ I know.. You’ll kill me.. Relax.. I was just messing with you.. Ma binu, Ma binu (sorry, sorry).

Before I could let go of her, The little b*tch gave me a small kiss on the lips, I quickly pushed her away and rubbed my lips..

Monife ➡ I’m not sure… But from of it.. Those medallions are dangerous.

Christen ➡ Do you know their hideout?

Monife ➡ They have many hideouts but I only know one.. It’s a few miles outside Ibadan. It’s an old complex building built for a something else… That’s all I know… Okay now.. For my payment!

Christen ➡ I don’t have any money with me but if you can give me your account number, I’ll send you the money..

.

Monife ➡ (laughs) No.. I don’t want your money.. But if you come closer I’ll tell you what I want for my payment.

I hesitated for a while before I went closer to her, as I got close, she came close to my ear and whispered in my ear…

Before I could recover from my shock, Monife quickly planted her lips firmly on mine, giving me a kiss, before I could deal with her, She teleported out of there, leaving me in a state of embarrassment and shock.. Esther laughed as she saw that.

Esther ➡ (laughs) Woah.. That was… surprising.. Looks like you have an admirer, Christen.

Christen ➡ Shut up! Why didn’t you tell me she is a crazy lesbian?

Esther ➡ I swear in Callipso’s name, I don’t know..

Esther and I left the feeding lounge and soon the club, the moment we got outside.. We saw a young guy with a young girl, The guy was forcing himself onto the girl, who was shy and nervous..

I couldn’t bare to watch anymore… This brute was getting out of hand and this girl needed some help.. I wonder what brought the two of them to this dangerous place.. Their argument was attracting the attention of the ghouls and mermaids who were waiting for an opportunity.. So I quickly interfered before anything bad happens.

I was starting to get annoyed of this guy, so I gave him a resounding slap which sent him flying in mid air.. The girl seeing an opportunity decided to run for her life but before she could do that, I grabbed her and gave her a sound warning.

Christen ➡ Hey you.. Listen to me.. Don’t ever stay out late like this or come here ever again if you value your life, understand?

Girl ➡ Yes.. Thank you..

.

Christen ➡ Now run along..

The girl ran away quickly.. After that, the guy rose on his feet and brought out a gun trying to shoot us, but unfortunately for him, before he could pull the trigger, Esther had rushed in on him, biting his neck, she tore out his flesh as she chewed on it, before long, Others joined as well, each grabbing a share of their own pound of flesh.. The poor guy shouted for help struggling as blood oozed out of his body.

“ARGGGGHHH!!! EYYYYYYIIIIIIIII”

I felt the guy’s scream right down my spine, I soon left because I couldn’t bare to watch anymore, as I walked away, I could still hear the sound of the cracking bones and the smack of flesh as the guy was been eaten alive.

Minutes later, I reached home and took my bath, as I was washing my body, my mind went back to what that Monife did.. It was disgusting.. Next time I see her, I’ll tear her lips out..

But thanks to her, I got the information I needed, all I have to do is investigate and see what I can find.

So after the warm bath, I wore my lace night gown, and went to the living room to work on some lectures notes I plan to use for tomorrow’s class.. Just as I was doing that, I heard a knock on the door, I went and checked to see who it was.. As I opened the door, I saw Riley.

Christen ➡ (surprised) Riley!? What a surprise..

Riley ➡ Hi, Christen… Sorry for disturbing you.. Can I come in?

Riley walked in closely and after that, I offered him a seat and something to drink, as we both sat opposite each other, I sensed that something was bothering Riley because he looks worried. After a while, I asked him why he was here.

Riley ➡ Uhm, Christen… You’re a very smart and friendly woman and I respect you very much but you see there’s something that has been bothering me for quite a long time now..

Fate is a very interesting thing.. Some people tend to think Fate can be manipulated, that can control their own fate, People don’t accept their Fate, thinking its their own doing or someone’s doing.. Well, they’re wrong.. Fate can’t be manipulated, it can’t be control and it can’t be changed.. It’s not our doing, Fate determines our lives since the day we were born, even in the book of destiny, Our fate are written in there.. We all must accept our fate whether good or bad.. That’s the way it is, no matter what we do, we can’t change our fates, if you’re poor, then you’re poor, if you’re rich, then you’re rich.. Just embrace and accept your fate.. No man can change his or her fate.. No matter what.. Only God can change our fate………..

Arrrrgggghhhhh!!!!!!

That was me, waking up from another yet terrifying dream.. A dream which I’ve been dreaming about for 3 years.

I woke up and sat on the edge of my bed sweating and gasping for breath.. Some people get over their nightmares but mine wasn’t like that, it was as if it was real, it was like I was experiencing them in real life, But honestly to me, they looked real cause dreams don’t keep showing up repeatedly for 3 years, its just too ridiculous

The first dream that I had, was so realistic.. In the dream, I was being tied by tree branches and was almost eaten by a witch.

The second dream I had, was realistic as well, In the dream, I was in a bar or club with some people who looked strange, they had human faces but then, their legs were hooves like that of goats and horse, some had fins like that of fishes.

The third one was the scariest and was the one I kept dreaming about constantly.. In the dream, I was being tortured by a witch, she was cruel, and heartless, as she tortured me, she was laughing calling my name.. Whenever I had that dream, I barely get hold of myself.. It was so terrifying that I couldn’t forget the name of the witch torturing me.. Her name is Rose.

I’ve had other dreams as well but these 3 were the most constant ones I’ve been dreaming about but in those dreams, there was something I couldn’t forget no matter what.. Inside those dreams, there was one particular lady that appeared in every single one of them, She was like the light in my dreams, I couldn’t forget her face, it was clear in my mind, as if I’ve met her before.. The only thing I knew about her was her name.. Which was Christen.

The funny thing is, all these dreams were about witches… Back in my campus days, I was obsessed about them but now I’m not.. Times without number, I’ve visited Pastors and therapist, hell even herbalist to tell me about this dreams.. The doctors said it was drugs.. The therapist said I was going insane and the Herbalist couldn’t even say anything.

Seeing that I couldn’t get the help I needed, I decided to help and pray to God to block these dreams away. For some time, I no longer dreamt those dreams and I got a chance to sleep peacefully but now they’re back.

After sitting on my bed for some time.. I stood up and went to the toilet to pee.. After that I came back, took my phone, and checked the time.. It was 5:59 am in the morning.

So seeing I couldn’t go back to sleep, I decided to get ready to leave for work, At first boiled my water for bath and then I went to the kitchen to prepare myself some breakfast.

10 years has passed since Since I graduated from Ibadan university 🎓, Thanks to my High C.GPA, I was offered Lecturing in my department, But Lecturing wasn’t really my thing, so after my service, I tried looking for jobs, But considering the kind of Country we were in, it was hard to get a job, so without any options, I decided to go back and accept the lecturing offer.

It took a while before I got a hang of it though eventually it paid off in the end. During those years of my lecturing career, I went for my master degree and PhD and thanks to God, I was successful in all and within 8 years, I was a young and respected Professor.. Not only was a Prof, but I was also a member of the archeologist community here in Ibadan called Ibadan Archaeologists Society ( I. A. S), our job is to find ancient artifacts, study them and preserve them as a national treasure..

As for my friends and family things turned out pretty well for them… Khalid my best buddy was now a business man dealing in exported cars from over seas or the Lagos / Benin border, we do keep in touch, he wanted me to join him in the business gig but I told him, I would think about it..

As for Tina, Well, the b*tch was married to one member to house of reps but they later got divorced, she has one child with the guy.. But despite being divorced she sure got alot of money 💰 from her child’s father for child support and all that, She used the money to open up a huge telecoms store, which has been fetching her alot of money.. What surprised me was, She and Khalid met during a few occasions and continued their erotic palava. I wonder why they didn’t get married to each other?

As for my brother Lionel.. He was now a changed individual, unlike before when he was wild and rowdy, He’s now a Manager in some company and he gets well paid, 350k a month ain’t bad.

My father, Mr. Femi is still a doctor but he said he’d retire in some few years. As for my mom, well, she’s still the same as ever, prayerful and supportive.. She’s now the women’s leader in their church ⛪️, she does her part by preaching to the women and constantly helps out in community service.

Well, that’s it.. The roads that everyone has taken, its not bad if you ask me.. At least everyone is safe and sound and well.

After I was done bathing and eating my breakfast, I wore my clothes and got ready for work, I prayed to God before leaving the house. I went down entered my car and drove to my place of work.

Ibadan had changed quite a bit during these years, There was new buildings, new neighborhood.. But one thing didn’t change and that was the bushes around Ibadan.. The government had insisted on preserving the forestation and made efforts to trim them and make them look so lovely to tourist who came to Ibadan.. Trash and other dirt was no longer thrown inside the bushes and if anyone was caught doing that, they get punished.

Minutes later, I arrived at the campus, The structure was still the same as it was but there were some few changes in it.. New departments were opened and new lecturers were hired to mold the mind of the student body.

Immediately I parked my car at the Faculty’s drive way, I came down and went inside the faculty. One thing I’ve learnt during my years of Lecturing was try to be both hard and soft on the students, that way you can establish a good relationship with the students.

As I entered my Office, I dusted my chair and table, I arranged my files neatly and removed my coat and hung it on the hanger close to my book shelf, After that, i sat down and began checking some projects reports of the graduating students, every time I go through this, I feel bored… The d–n students couldn’t make things easier by writing a less report ; But no.. They’ll write more than enough a person can read.. As I was going through the reports, Mrs. Amelia entered my office.

Mrs. Amelia was the department’s examination officer.. She’s a woman of 29 and a very attractive one at that, but her bizarre nature makes men try not to approach her. She’s quite energetic and a dedicated staff, but she has this happening of staring at me giving me winks and sexy smiles but any man would have taken her offer but I’m not interested.. She’s not my type.

Amelia ➡ Good morning, Prof. Riley.. How’s your night?

Riley ➡ Mrs. Amelia.. It was quiet well. You?

Amelia ➡ It was a bit chilly, I’d like some company to keep myself warm at night.

Riley ➡ (coughs) ahem.. Well, what brings you here? Is something wrong?

Amelia ➡ Sir, tomorrow you’ll be supervising the new staff joining us here tomorrow.

Riley ➡ What else?

Amelia ➡ Uhm, Prof. Adeyemi isn’t feeling fine.. He’s supposed to lecture the level 3 students.

Riley ➡ Okay.. I’ll feel in for him. When’s the class starting?

Amelia ➡ in 10 mins…

Riley ➡ Okay, looks like I have to get going.

I stood up took my lecture notes and headed for the lecture hall, but before I could leave my office, I was halted by Amelia.

Amelia ➡ Sir wait..

Riley ➡ What is it?

Amelia ➡ Your tie! Let me straighten out for you.

Seconds later, she was done and I went my way, I was in no mood to lecture but nothing can be done.. Apart from Prof. Adeyemi, I’m the only person who’s specialized in this course.

As I entered the lecture hall, the students were already seated but in an awkward manner, this sure brought back memories.. I was the same as these chaps back in the day… As soon as the students saw me, They quickly arranged themselves in an orderly manner.. In class I don’t smile at them but outside the class.. We were friends.

After that we exchanged pleasantries and then began the lecture.. I don’t give them everything but I give them enough materials to go and study.

Hours later, I was done with the lecture and I asked the students If they had questions, no one said anything except Cassandra Obaro. (A. K. A Cassy).

Cassandra is a girl of 23, an ebira/Yoruba girl, very attractive, arrogant, and a smart cookie.

In that moment.. I felt something strange within me.. I saw images flashing in my mind, As I closed my eyes and stood quietly for some time trying to get hold of myself.. But then as I opened my eyes, I saw something that shocked me beyond belief.. Among the students, I saw that lady in my dream, the lady that was my light in that nightmarish dream.. What was her name… Yes Christen.. She’s the one.. But how? It doesn’t make sense.. I left the podium and went to where she was, the students were looking at me awkwardly as if I was mad.. But as i got there.. She wasn’t there.. She was never there.. I quickly went back to the podium, dismissed the class and went back to my office, As I was on my way to the office, I saw her again, I saw christen again but this time.. She was everywhere.. I quickly hurried to my office, closed myself in, so that no body would bother me.. Was this all real or am I hallucinating? Dreams can’t project themselves as mirrors, it’s just impossible.

I felt a lump in my throat, I quickly went to my toilet and vomited 🤢.. Shortly after that, I left the toilet and passed out in my office.

Some people say if you keep dreaming about something over and over again, its either you’ve been with that something or that something will happen to you. In my case it was both.

I later woke up, finding myself on the thighs of Mrs. Amelia and some of the faculty who were trying to revive me, as I was staring at them one by one.. I saw Christen again.. I sat up quickly looking dazed 😳 and scared.. Why was I seeing this things? The colleagues tried to ask if I was alright, but I ignored them all and left the office.. I hurried to my car and drove out of the campus, I didn’t know where I was driving, my foot was just on the pedal.. Minutes later, I stopped the car in the middle on nowhere, came out and shouted out loud kicking the tire.. I later stopped after I was exhausted myself.. As I sat inside my car wondering over my plight, I recognized the place where I parked my car.. It wasn’t far from my parents house.

As I was about to leave the place, I saw Christen’s ghostly figure standing close to the bushes, I stared at her trying to figure out what was happening; in that moment, she started going into the bushes.. The only thing my body told me was to run as fast as I cam but my mind was saying another thing and tag was to follow her..

Without any hesitation, I came down from my car and followed her. I ran so that I could catch up with her but she was to fast, as I got deeper and deeper into the forest, I can to get a strange but familiar feeling, finally, I reached at a dead end, there was nothing there but an open space and an old Iroko tree. I looked around if I would see the ghostly Christen but she wasn’t there.. Feeling tired and beat, I decided to sit under the Iroko tree and rest, and as I placed my hand on the tree, I began to see images of my dream, unlike before they were much more clearer and more realistic. In that moment, my mind was showered with lots of images of things that seemed absolutely crazy and impossible.. Images of witches, death, romance and most of all magic, the last image I saw was myself in a court with Christen.. She was crying and we shared a kiss and after that, everything became blank.

After jolting shock, I sat down on the ground wondering about what I just saw.. It was possible that this things sure happened but I’m having a hard time trying to believe it myself.. And the only person, that could confirm these was Christen. But where do I start finding her?

In that moment, I got a phone call from the Chairman of (I. A. S) Chief Olushegun. I answered the call to see what he wanted.

Riley ➡ Hello sir.

.

Olushegun➡ Riley! Where are you? .. There’s something I’d like you to see.

.

Riley ➡ I’m somewhere sir but I’ll be on my way.

Olushegun ➡ Come quick.

After the call, I stood up and went to my car, entered it and drove to (I. A. S) building. Minutes later, I arrived at the place, Chief Olushegun was outside with some men when I arrived. After parking the car.. I went to his place.

We exchanged pleasantries with him and the men, after that The chief showed me what he wanted to show me.. It was a statue of a woman, she had something in her hands, like some circle.. I observed the circle and notice it looked familiar but where.. In that moment, I remembered Mrs. Amelia, she had a tattoo of that circle on her neck.

I asked the chief about the statue 🗿 and he said it was just for fashion and that these particular men wanted to buy it.. I agreed cause the statue had no use.. There was nothing we could find or study on it.

Hours later, I returned home, feeling tired, bored and hungry.. As I got into the house, I took a nice bath after that, I tried to make myself some meal as I was about to head to the kitchen I heard a knock on my door, I went and opened it and to my surprise it was Amelia.

Riley ➡ Amelia!? How did you… What are you doing here?

Amelia ➡ Oh sorry sir.. You forget your stuff back at the office so I brought it back for you and also I made something for you to eat.

After I was done, Amelia packed the dishes and washed them for me.. I was grateful for what she did and I wished I could repay her in kind but turns out, this Crazy broad had something in pain..

While I sat on the couch trying to rest and let the food digest, Amelia came and stood in front of me, asking if there was anything I needed.

After that, everything went dark, I woke abruptly looking dazed, I looked at my hands to see If the necklace was there but it wasn’t.. This time around I was dreaming ; after a short prayer, I went back to sleep.

The next morning, I woke up and got ready for work.. After my usual morning routine, I left for work.. As I was driving, I had a craving for milk, so I stopped at a nearby super market to get one.. After getting the milk drink I wanted, I went to the cashier to pay for the milk, as I waited in line, I saw something I never hoped I’d see.. Christen.

I couldn’t believe it.. So I wasn’t hallucinating at all and those dreams were real? Christen was the only person to clarify these dreams for me and now she’s gone.

After that, I thanked the boy and went to my car, I started the engine and drove straight to work… I couldn’t believe she was gone.. She was just right there, just right there and now finding her will be like finding a water in the desert.

Minutes later, I arrived at campus, parked my car and went to my office. Before I could get into my office, I was intercepted by Amelia.

Riley ➡ Morning Mrs. Amelia.. How’s your night?

Riley ➡ No.. By the way.. Where’s the new staff that you said you’d call?

Amelia ➡ Oh she’s waiting outside.. Should I send her in?

Amelia went out and told the lady to come in, Shortly after wards, the door opened and the lady came in, I was busy sipping my coffee, I didn’t notice her, it was Amelia tat notified me she was inside, as I looked up and saw her, my mouth dropped and the coffee I held in my hands fell to the ground… I couldn’t believe it.. It was Christen…….
